Oh noooo I get it though. He did kind of explode and then end up absolutely everywhere. I grew up in New England, so not only has he been on my radar for while, but for me personally, his songs are extremely relatable - there is a certain trauma associated with growing up in that area haha (I also think his song Maine is so stupidly clever because there are the lines:

AND IN MAINE IT IS ILLEGAL TO HAVE CAMERAS IN THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS like there aren't red light cameras OR speed camera in the traffic lights which I am aware is a very weird niche thing but it was a very important part of my summer driving up to beach when I was a teenager in my very red car lol)

when we were young fest was so much fun!!! I'll post a read more if you wanna read about me yapping about my day (I went sunday the 20th:) )

took the monorail and honestly best decision we made all weekend ngl it was so smooth and easy. I started bright and early with neck deep at 11:45, i'm still salty as fuck about this because why were they so early 😭😭😭 they were a cant miss band though so had to move my ass. they started their set before we got to the stage so had to run/walk while screaming along to serpents. played the entire album except they had to cut haunt you but honestly fine with that, it's my least fav on lnotgy so whatever, ben barlow saying free palestine I know that's right my king.

anyway next was state champs!!! my mf band!!!!!! the finer mf things!!!!!! I couldn't pit for them unfortunately as I have been dealing with back pain (I don't know what it is) and i have beef with them which I will bitch to them about the next time I see them because they cut my absolute favorite song from the finer things, mind bottled! how could they do this to me!!!! yes we got everybody but you with ben but at what cost? I wanna hear mind bottled for once in my life!!!! they also cut over the line in favor of secrets but I didn't even notice because I was too mad about mind bottled. why would they do me like that. Then we went to the main stages for cobra starship and simple plan. sat in the grass and listened to cobra starship, I wanted to hear snakes on a plane!!!! wish william beckett was there smh. simple plan was simple plan lol my bf wanted to hear welcome to my life so we stayed until then and then left. THEN THEY PLAYED WHERE I BELONG, BUT BROUGHT OUT DEREK FROM STATE CHAMPS! when I tell u I stopped dead in my tracks and turned tf around, thats the only simple plan song I fuck heavy with and it was the biblically accurate version. Break time in the grass hehe with some giant pizza.. preparing for the longest 5 hours of my mf life.

The girls around me during king for a day were great we needed more of that energy earlier during their set because I unfortunately couldn't give much energy due to my back it hurt so had and so did me feet and it was only the beginning lmfao

Jimmy eat world was good but man them songs were so boring if you don't know them which I don't 😭😭😭😭 how many slow songs does one album need like damn pick it up a little. I respect them though they sounded great just not what I was in the mood for when my feet were dying lmfao

speaking of mf fall out boy I love them so much 😭😭 I used up all my energy for the first half of their set I was dead for the second half. I finally got to hear chicago is so two years ago live by them and not just a cover and they played mf thriller!!!!!!!!! One of my favs from ioh I was so fucking happy I didn't expect it. I was carrying the crowd in my section cause no one knew the words to anything but the basics lmfao and the 8 ball being cupids chokehold!!!! The way I screamed when Travie Mccoy came out, TAKE A LOOK AT MY GIRLFRIEND. SHES THE ONLY ONE I GOT 📣📣📣📣📣📣📣 insane honestly I love fob so fucking much 😭😭😭

and then the main event, the main reason I flew all the way to vegas, my chemical romance playing the black parade 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 I WISH it was three cheers but the black parade made more sense and it means they had to play the sharpest lives. they were so fucking good and they looked so good 😭😭😭 I hope they continue to play more shows because I need to see them again, genuinely no band will ever hit for me like mcr does. They've been my favorite band since 2010 and I was so grateful for the opportunity to see them perform tbp in full. the sharpest lives fixed me and disenchanted made me cry like a little bitch. I wish I was closer but I was not fighting thru that crowd I simply did not have the energy. I wish I had more energy for their set but my legs, feet, back were so sore and I could barely move lmfao. Also the crowd around me sucked as usual I hate festival crowds they are all so lame and boring like learn the fucking words please 😭😭

So this is my first post here, name's mimi and i've just been casually writting stories for a very long time. Used to rp all the time yet havent in a few years. Recently my muse in dystopian has risen again and im very excited to publish what ive got. Won't promise it's any good lol havent been using tumblr in a very long time either and everything is so different so pls bare w me, english is not my first nor second lenguage so kidness its thanked. I'm just messing around with it, trying to enjoy myself and hopefully you like, it if not.. well, i'd like it. Wasn't even gonna post this whole thing into the tags but i figured it's always helpful to build up of each others energy (if anyone interacts w it, again no pressure this is mostly for me). My first story will be divergent au kinda sorta aka before the events of the movie, set in dauntless and w eric bc we love a bad boy. Also want to focus on building the characters as we got them presented in the book and the society status but once again, dont make no promises.

Here are some of my thoughts during my first writting session (im halfway through)

• i think my biggest mission in this story other than finishing it is to not kill y/n at the end to explain eric's extreme assholness&cold heart bc lol isn't what we all think will happen? i mean wouldnt it be a dystopian story if the main/fav character didnt get killed off riGHT VERONICA but also predictable idk we'll see

• also always wanted to write stories of four and eric initative times and fights HC but i gotta warm up to the characters tbh and fight scenes bc there's a lot and i need to explore the world first, make it my own in a way even though i own nothing bc im not veronica roth but you get what im saying

• refer to previous point, am i fully knowloadged of the world? The factions? The OG story? No, so i'm sure i'll ramble through and adapt it to my own mind, hope thats not off putting. I'll try my best but you know how things turn out sometimes.

• i do have a small bullet point and inspo fcs for the characters presented in the story & i want to make like a post for them but also too much work and im still getting to know them myself so im sure they will grow a lot but probs will post them just so we are @ same page w them??

• also finish writting chapt 1 would be a nice i guess lol

• fyi story is written as second person prespective refering to you all the time, character y/n and our main character is literally just us, thinks dauntless is hella cool but doesnt believe shes cool enough to be, she'll work her way up and eventually fall in love w eric and probs figure out some shit going on in chicago

It’s true what they say, it takes 21 days to build a habit. The same goes for the opposite. Took a few weeks off my routine for reasons out of my control… to be fair, I was knocked out of it, literally and figuratively. Now it’s taking a lot of convincing to get back on track.

I had surgery and was put on a lifting restriction in August/early September and since I couldn’t lift, I stopped going to the gym altogether. Who really wants to drive 20 minutes just for a cardio session at the gym? lol Not me! I should’ve tho. I also didn’t want to waste my personal training sessions on exercises I could do on my own so I took a break from seeing my personal trainer, as well. All that coincided with my regular gym membership expiring so I’m looking into a new home gym. It’s been challenging since the big gyms near me are so packed and they don’t have 24 hour options anymore. I love working out early but also love having the option of going at 1-3:00 AM when I can’t sleep. I found a gym I kinda like, not as big as the X-Sport/LA Fitness & Planet Fitnesses of the world and not 24 hours but it might work. Just have to visit the facility first.

With the new bed rest/free time I had, I was able to binge a couple shows that had been on my radar and one that my nephew has been trying to get me to watch for years. I tried starting it a few times before but couldn’t get through the first couple episodes. I finally just let it play and he was right. It was a great show. When I told him he was right and I did really enjoy the show he responded, “Finally! I told you!!!” lol It’s kinda cool when my nieces and nephews get to introduce me to something new. It doesn’t happen often tho, I usually give them the music and movie recommendations.

After being out of it for a bit, I’m starting to slowly get back to it and get back out there. Things moved so fast this summer and I had the most fun I’ve had in years so it was tough when everything came to an abrupt stop. It sucked. It’s better now.

One highlight from September was getting to see The Offspring at Riot Fest. It’d been fifteen years since the last time I saw them with my sisters at Northerly Island. That band holds so many fun memories of me tagging along on car rides with them. My older sisters all exposed me to a variety of their favorite music. Whenever I hear a song from The Cure, La Ley, Banda Machos, System of A Down or The Offspring, to name a few, I think of distinct memories with a different one of them. Having siblings is a pain sometimes but a majority of the time it rules.

I saw Fall Out Boy at RF too. That one was for me. iykyk

Anyway, it’s been unusually warm for October in Chicago but can’t complain. All the hurricane Milton news is scary. Keeping tabs on family in Mexico & Florida. Hoping for the best for all those in its path.

It was always a treat coming back to New York. Bumming around Chicago and New Jersey and Minneapolis was never quite the same, no matter how similar the clothes or the drapes or the atmosphere of the city’s underbelly.

New York was just something right. Always exciting. Always pulsing with tension right underneath the surface. People were always checking over their shoulders. Tucking their bags tighter under their arms. Moving their wallets and phones out of back pockets and into front ones and breast ones.

Folks knew from the start that the city would take what it wanted when it wanted it if you weren’t vigilant.

And speaking of vigilant, New York City had the added benefit of being home to Mike’s dear, dear, violent, vigilante baby brother.

Well, baby was relative.

Eleven minutes of separation wasn’t quite enough to be throwing around words like ‘baby’ and ‘elder’, but you know what?

Matt had always been the baby.

Soft-hearted. Soft-spoken. Shy. Blind.

He’d needed more help. Always had needed more help. He didn’t want it. Never wanted it.

But New York City didn’t care about what Matty wanted or needed. It dragged him down into its gushing, oily depths, and left him suspended there.

Always drowning. Always fighting to get his head above water.

Matt was too soft for this world, still, no matter how hard he’d gotten.

He acted like he was someone else, someone different, someone unrecognizable when Mike came to visit him now and again.

And like, yeah.

Boy was more angry than Mike was used to seeing him. But the simpering and cowering had vanished in recent years for something that Mike was deeply proud of.

His baby brother.

Matt was used to Mike opening his window every few months for a quick place to crash. Mike thought he purposefully left it unlocked. These days, when Mike dropped by the city for a whirlwind adventure and a taste of roiling, boiling freedom, he usually found the apartment empty.

Matty was out with the best of them. Roiling and boiling.

Bless him.

Mike opened the window this time and stepped carefully over the sill and into the kitchen sink and immediately noticed a set of keys on the counter with no less than three different paper bags set in a line around them.

They looked greasy, but there wasn’t a strong smell.

He stepped out of the sink onto the tile and touched one of the bags.

Cold.

Well, shit.

Matty always got the short end of the stick. It was how things were. It was one of the rules of the universe that twins never shared anything all the way through.

So Mike got the good luck and Matty got the bad luck.

Easy as that.

He was sleeping when Mike stuck his head into his room.

Not in a nice way. Not in a good way.

He was just sleeping.

Mike stepped in closer and slowly sat down on the end of the mattress.

Matt’s lip was scabbed and he had red and blue and purple all down the side of his face. He had stitches covered with sheer gauze on his neck.

The rest of him was swamped by his massive, heavy duvet.

“Rough times, Matty?” Mike asked his sleeping body.

Matt didn’t respond.

Mike patted the duvet over his shoulder.

“I gotchu, little brother,” he said. “I gotchu.”

The bags on the table were days cold. The fridge was nearly empty but for a few beer bottles. The whole place smelled of disuse. And Matt didn’t come out of his room in the morning.

Mike sat up from the uncomfortable couch, tossed the throw back over it, and went to hunt through the linen closet for a towel.

By noon, the place was aired and bright. It was early spring so it was a bit cold to have all the windows flung open, but hey.

Needs must sometimes.

Mike wiped out the inside of the fridge. Took Matty’s keys off the counter and borrowed a pair of sneakers—of course, the same size.

He went around the block to the bodega that he knew Matt favored above all the others in the area. Fresh produce. Local milk and butter. Matty was friends with the owner’s daughter; had stuck his neck out for her and her kids and her daddy.

He was soft like that.

The daughter thought Mike was him when he brought his garden of a shopping basket up to her register.

She asked him what had happened to his cane and if he needed help getting home.

Mike tapped down his glasses and smiled and told her it was mighty nice to know that folks in the neighborhood were looking after his younger twin brother.

She was shocked. Then worried because ‘Mr. Murdock’ always did his own shopping and was always asking her about these berries and those greens.

She swapped out half of Mike’s basket for better choices of fruit and veg for one of the place’s most valued customers. And then she impressed a load of health-nut-lookin’ snacks onto Mike and normally, he’d chuck ‘em and say that the two of them were brought up on PB&J and goldfish crackers like everyone else, ma’am, but they were already prepped and didn’t seem overwhelmingly portioned, so he decided that this time he’d spend his dime on that cute little brother.

Just this once, though. Don’t go getting any ideas, Matty.

He got back and dumped everything onto the counter.

So much green, Christ. It was as if he’d bought out the stock of the florist three blocks over.

Whatever.

Healthy body, healthy mind and all that.

He started twisting the greens off carrots and pulling off the outer leaves of cabbage. He found Matt’s Tupperware collection and the biggest bowl he had and set to rinsing and soaking and peeling and chopping.

It took some hunting to find the braille label maker and soon enough, the fridge was crammed with boxes and boxes of bright colors with labels all facing out.

‘Carrot rounds.’

‘Cabbage pieces.’

‘Minced Onion.’

And so on and so on.

Matt still didn’t come out of his room and that was too bad for him because Mike was working his way through the house’s linens now.

All of the towels went into the wash first.

As they went into the drier, the throws went into the wash.

The ballgame played while the towels were folded. Then the throws were replaced with all the pillow cases and a load of socks and clothes Matt didn’t notice Mike stealing from his still-darkened room.

Eventually Mike ran out of things to batter in the machine and so he had to bite the bullet.

He put hands on his hips and stood over Matty, still curled up in that damn duvet, facing away from the door this time.

When they were little, Matt had had a bunny which was kind of like his security blanket. God help them all if they left home without bunny. Dad used to swear Mike to secrecy when he caught him stealing bunny from his and Matt’s bedroom.

Mike had crossed his heart every time, and Dad had always swept him up and let him ride on his shoulders while he did the laundry and Matty napped in the other room.

Dad wasn’t here anymore though, so it fell to Mike as the oldest to do things while Matty slept.

Unfortunately, laundry waits for no man, sleeping, depressed, or otherwise.

“Heya bud,” he said cheerfully to Matt’s duvet. “I got good news and bad news for you.”

Matt mumbled something incoherent into the mattress.

Mike took the opportunity to start prying him out of it. He didn’t love it.

“Ge’ off,” Matt huffed, burrowing.

Mike lifted an eyebrow and balled his fists in the sheets.

“The good news is that its time for a bath, the bad news is that you gotta take it,” he announced.

“Mike, no. Just—go away,” Matt huffed.

Nope.

“Sorry not sorry,” Mike said brightly.

Then he yanked.

Depression ran in their family like a river. Matty got the worst of it from their mama. Mike got the anxiety from their daddy. It was only fair.

It meant that Mike knew that making Matt take a shower and washing all his bedding against his will would result in tears and bitterness in the short term, but a happier and less apathetic Matt in the long term.

Matt came out of the shower and wanted to go back to bed.

Mike made him curl up on the couch in the sun and the fresh air instead. His room wasn’t done airing.

Matt hated that. He told Mike to fuck off at least twenty times before falling back to sleep, but it was no matter. Mike was used to him being like this.

He kept the game on and sat on the couch arm and ran a few fingers through Matty’s hair when he was good and asleep.

  ----

Bed made.

Room aired.

Brother fed (somewhat).

Wounds examined and redressed.

“Why are you here this time?” Matt asked him as he guided him back to the newly made bed.

“Love,” Mike crooned. “I heard your distress and came running.”

Matt scoffed.

“Money,” he said.

“That too,” Mike beamed. “But the deals will wait.”

“I’m fine, just go,” Matt sighed. He pulled his legs back up onto the bed and set about burying himself in covers once more.

“Okay, I’ll go,” Mike said. “But I’ll be back in a few hours, yeah?”

Matt mumbled under the blankets.

“What’d you say, there friend? Some of us don’t got superhearing, remember?” Mike reminded him.

“I said be careful,” Matt spat.

Oh, right.

That was.

Right.

“I will be,” Mike said, maybe a touch softer than intended.

“Don’t stay out too long,” Matty huffed into his pillow.

“Will do,” Mike said, heading back towards the living room. He stopped with his hand on the doorframe.

Matt made a grumpy questioning sound under the covers.

Mike swallowed.

“You know I love you, right?” he said. “And you’re not alone right now.”

There was a long pause.

“I know,” Matt sighed. “I love you, too. Don’t bet on any horses.”

Mike laughed.

“Stallions only, got it,” he said. “Be back soon!”

He kept the sneakers for the time being.

Death! ok so here’s the thing. Death was calmer, but he contextualized all the other three. Pestilence clearly cared about the other two horseman, but you got the sense they were younger..? not as big picture? like why did they go along like that? what was their goal? why was death the only one who rebelled? did the other like the chaos?

and death did have this like. “I do this because I want it” thing, but also..it’s death. That scene with Dean was so tense. he had so much more power and knowledge, everyone knew it, and Dean(and the audience was floundering). Hell of a bang, and it almost made me forget how they had to put them horseman in at the very end cuz they ran out of time

obligatory Destiel. That lil scene with crowley and the phone was condo was Cute, they’re a fun dynamic. Worth noting he talked to Sam and it was Business, but good, and also they should have vibed more.

CROWLEY. God he was so fun. He was like…the fairy godmother but he was fucking terrible at it wasn’t he. it was so good

oh yeah Sam’s the main character isn’t he. Look. He just Angst. And do Heroic thing, Yell, then Angste. Cas, Crowley, Bobby, they all DON’T ANGST, and it’s FUN!! and Dean’s guilty of this too, btw, it wasn’t that fun to watch him, but he gets to be riled by the supernatural creatures(Cas and Crowley), so it’s ok

Just another Monday (Chicago PD x Officer!Reader)

A/N: Hi everyone! Just a little warning (?) I kinda implied the age of the reader here for the sake of the story, she’s around 40 or something like that, I didn’t put a number just keep in mind that she’s older than the team (not counting Hank). And a female reader again! I’m trying to write gender neutral but I’m having a hard time already just for writing in another language that I’m not that good at yet so bear with me! 💜 I hope you enjoy it!

Word Count: 2220 (I think lol)

The sensation of the sun caressing your skin right now was amazing, it made you like mornings just for this. You decided to get out of the car and lean on it to soak all of it while your partner was in the store, just crossing the street, when the radio inside the patrol broke you out of thoughts with dispatch describing a suspect in the area where you were.

You were about to answer to the call when you saw him walking in the same sidewalk you where, trying to hide with a red baseball hat wich was the worst “costume” you had saw in your life because the dude was enormous, with a horrific plaid vest that showed his big arms covered by ugly made-in-prison tattoos and looking everywhere like waiting for someone to jump at him. Fair enough...

There was a few people on the street so you decided to act distracted and wait for him to pass next to you where an internal street was desserted and there you could jump at him without hurting any civilian.

You saw your moment and punched him in the temple with all the force you could manage sending him stumbling on the empty street just like you planed. But what you hadn't previewed was that the guy was three times bigger than you and him recovering pretty fast. Just as you went for your gun he grabed your hand in his fist and throw you against a wall, sending your gun flying who knows where.

“Bad move you fucking pig” he growled at you with an incredibly pitched voice that thrown you off guard so badly that when you realized the situaction you were in he was grabbing you from your vest making your feet leave the floor, ready for toss you againt the trash cans next to you when he was sudenly hit in the back of the head releasing you in the moment.

That's when you saw him. Your fucking partner!!! But the reunion was short lived when the dude punched your partner in the face dropping him in the floor instantly and starting to go for his gun. Another possibility presented to and you didn't wait a second to jump in his back and start punching everything you could while holding him in a chokehold with your other arm to 1) not fall and 2) debilitate him enough until your partner finish recovering.

And that's how it when for what it felt like two hours of wrestling a bear. You guys landing pretty good and almost choreographed punches and the criminal landing all the nasty ones in your jaw and sides.

You could hear screeching tires in the background but you didn't have time to see what was it, you saw and opening and landed a punch in his groin destabilizing him so you finished with a kick on the back of his knees making him fall on his face. Quickly you cuffed him and sat down on his back so he wouldn't move. Panting hard you lifted your head up and froze when you saw the entire Intelligence Unit surrounding you and a few neighbors in the background.

You composed yourself when you realize that you were the one staring now and said "I think this belongs to you" and you were a bit relieved that a few of them laughed and not just your partner that was sitting against the wall. You were starting to get up when a rough looking hand appeared in front of you. Looking up you see Sergeant Voight with Burguess next to him and smiling at you.

"Thank you" you say taking his hand and trying to hide the pain that rushed through your entire ribcage but you couldn't help but wince. "You okay?" asked the rough voice. "Yeah just a bit very very sore" you answered panting through the pain and touching lightly your jaw to check it was on its place. "You probably have broken ribs, you're agitated" said Kim helping you towards the ambulance were your partner was being checked. "Just another Monday" you sighed sitting in a nearby bench while waited for them to finish. With closed eyes you tried to canalize the pain out of your body just like that only class of "experimental yoga" teached you to but like we already knew, it didn't work.

"I didn't remember you this badass you know" you heard a familiar voice talk next to you. Opening your eyes smiling at one of the best partners that Sarge Platt paired you with.

"Well you are a big boy now, playing with the big guns. I didn't even expected to be remembered by the famous Kevin Atwater" you joked giving him puppy eyes. You guys laughed and talked a little, now joined by Ruzek until a paramedic came and asked you to get into the ambo.

The second you lifted your right leg to get in a wave of unbearable pain shock your entire body and made you lose your balance. Thankfully one of the paramedics and Kevin catch you before the ground were even an option."Wow okay, Simon get bed out here now" yelled the paramedic lowering your body totally in the floor and started checking the vitals.

"I'm okay, just a bit dizzy" you reassured everybody as they came worried. You got lifted into the ambo and left with your partner by your side. He was okay but needed clearance from the ER. _________

You were in the locker room getting changed out of your uniform after being released from the hospital. 6 hours under observation. Yay. Now finally in the precinct you could grab your bag and leave to your now very tempting bed. You were in a sport bra and leggings trying to catch your breath after putting the laters on when someone talked from the door. "Damn that son of a bitch made an abstract painting in your middle" said Ruzek entering with Atwater, both looking at the colorful bruising that surrounded your ribcage. "Ha! You didn't see his best work yet" you commented while turning around to face them and pointing at the left side of your face. The bruise in your jaw was more like an angry red with touches of dark blue-ish already appearing. Thankfully, you guess, it was expanding more towards the neck than your face. That would just fucking suck. "Fuck woman, that's just ruining a piece of art" said Kevin grabbing gently your face and tilting it towards the light so they could see better. "Ha ha, fuck off Atwater" you said grabbing your shirt but it looked too tight so you just dropped it and went for an oversized hoodie and slowly put it on. "So why you guys here? You needed something?”. "Voight wants to talk to you, nothing serious, maybe go through a few details about today" "Okay, let's go" you breathe out, grab the bag and left with them. You were chatting, remembering the times you shared on the job with Kevin when Adam asked a curious question. "We never slept together, not even a little kiss, for God sakes Adam, he's way too young for me! And we were partners, it'll be fucking awkward" you answered him looking at him with a 'wtf' face stopping at the top of the stairs and of course dragging the attention of the rest that were up here. "C'mon, you're not old" replied Adam going to his desk, "even if you were you'll be totally a Milf". Your face turned bright red and everyone's jaw dropped at his comment. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Halstead trying not to laugh, Kevin nodding his head and Upton and Burguess scolding him. "Was it too much?" he asked honestly without a hint of regret. "I'll punch that pretty face of yours if I was able to lift my arm without passing out from the pain" you answered playfully narrowing your eyes at him but internally thanking the universe when you saw Voight's door office closed and him talking on the phone, not hearing anything of this. You talked a bit, the group asking how you were doing and remembering the badass movements you  pulled off earlier until the Sergeant opened the door and called you in. "Sit please" he said closing the door and going to his own chair. "What's the verdict? " "Well, where do I start" you chuckle lightly, "a nice looking jaw but it's just bruised. Two cracked ribs, one in each side and practically all of the lower ones bruised. Dr. Choi said that the dizziness was from the pain, it could happen again but from now painkillers and not sudden movements. And tomorrow I have to go get bandaged properly, so they can see if nothing got swollen". "Hell, you took a nice beating" he joked a they laughed a bit. After a moments of silence he talked again, "I like my unit how it is right now and we already have a new person coming, it'll get too crowded. But if I can have you as back up it'll be a gift. " "I love my job Sergeant" you breathe out after a minute of processing, "I love patroling and I love this city. This job saved my life...  I'm honored that you think of me like that and I'll gladly be a form of support for this unit". "I'm glad to hear that" he smiled at you. "Still I don't want you to get a wrong idea about me and later disappoint you for that" you tell him looking into his the eyes. "I'm not always this 'badass' officer that goes around beating bad guys and winning every fight. This is why I also am so grateful for, I been doing this for 16 years and I know I am not getting any younger and that the young boys and girls get picked up first because they malleable and ready to obey, so if you think of me for even a simple task once in a year I'll be the happiest gal in Chicago". You talk a bit more, it felt like a job interview but with a cool boss. You noticed he had your file on his desk and that he knew a few stories of you like if he had been around asking, but mostly was small chat. "Sorry to cut chat Sergeant but I took a few painkillers before coming up here and they started to kick in like right now" you said with an apologetic look on your face. "Please I'm the that should be apologizing, you had a hell of a day" said standing up and stretching his hand at you. "It's always a pleasure to meet people with such a conviction regarding work". "The pleasure is mine, sir" you said shaking his hand, opening the door and stepping a bit outside. "Thank you again, for the chance". "Bye guys it was nice talking to you" you smiled at the rest of the unit getting a few 'get well soon' and a 'see you later' from Kevin. Going downstairs, straight to the Sarge desk to check out. "You had a long chat with Voight, any news I should know about?" asked Platt handing you a paper to sign. "Just that I have young soul under this bunch of bruises" you winked at her and she chuckled a bit. "Come here tomorrow after your appointment and we'll talk about what you'll be doing until you heal". __________ Finally home. The sun was entirely hide from us and the moon was gigantic and shining, without a cloud bothering her. Opening the door from the apartment you were met with 3 seconds of silence until the sound of big paws and a soft 'meow' emerged from your bedroom. "Hello my babies" you greeted your dog, JJ, and cat, Atlas, that were already in front of you looking for kisses and hugs. You walked directly into your room, taking out the tight leggings but leaving the CPD soft hoodie on, just lifting it up to check your middle. Grabbed the painkillers from the bag and put them on the table next to your dresser, tall enough for JJ never reaching at them, and went to bed between your two fluffy friends. Just as you were reaching dreamland your phone alerted you of a message. It was an voice message from Kevin. If you don't remember wrong he was going to Molly's with the rest of the team. "Hey! It's Adam. Ruzek. Adam Ruzek you know? From today" he sounded totally wasted, "I just wanted to say sorry if I overstepped today at the precinct, calling you Milf and that. I mean you are not old enough to be a Milf, I think, wow I should have asked at least not just asume your age, but you'll totally will be a hot woman. Not that you aren't now, that's not what.. " and it cut itself. You stared at the ceiling for a few minutes until you started laughing like an idiot, even waking up your furry friends and having them look at you weird. And you thought after Voight chat this day couldn't have ended better.

The Peanut Butter Solution

Ghosts restore a boy's (Mathew Mackay) hair when it falls out from fright, but then it won't stop growing.

Michael Baskin is an average 11-year-old boy. His father, Billy Baskin, is a struggling artist and temporary sole caregiver of the children while his wife attends to the needs of her recently deceased father in Australia. Upon hearing the news that an abandoned mansion has recently burned down, Michael and his friend Connie decide to explore the remains. Outside the mansion, Connie dares Michael to take a look inside, leading to a frightening encounter with the ghosts of its homeless inhabitants who had died in the fire. Michael does not know this yet, but his fearsome run in with the ghosts has given him a mysterious illness simply known as "The Fright". Michael wakes up the next morning to find out that "The Fright" has made him lose all of his hair. After a failed attempt with a wig (his wig was pulled off by an older boy during a fight in a soccer game), the ghosts visit Michael in his sleep and give him the recipe of a magical formula for hair growth, the main ingredient of which is peanut butter. Michael's first attempt to make the formula is thwarted when his father and sister think he is making something to ingest (rather than use topically) and dispose of it.

A short summary of this movie. It goes on to explain that Michael successfully makes the formula and grows his hair back, but an evil teacher fired from his school discovers his hair growing ability, kidnaps him, uses his hair to make magical paint brushes before he’s finally caught and everyone gets a happy ending. 

.... Gonna be honest. NO idea how this is gonna work in. lol. Will’s bowl cut??? The beginning part there had me thinking about Joyce. The exploring the hunted house with a friend had me thinking of Will and El. But everything else? Pfff. 

The Fisher King

After shock jock Jack Lucas (Jeff Bridges) inadvertently provokes a caller into murdering a group of innocent people in a Manhattan bar, he grows depressed and turns to booze. As he's about to hit rock bottom, Lucas meets a homeless man named Parry (Robin Williams), whose wife was killed by the caller Lucas pushed to the brink. Mentally scarred by his loss, Parry spends his days searching for the Holy Grail. Lucas, feeling culpable for the poor man's plight, pledges to help him in his quest.

Nope, no idea. I really got nothing except.... maybe Kali?????? Ok wait, I read a bit more, mostly the ending bits. The homeless man, Parry, is beat senseless and is in a coma/catatonic state. The hero of the movie must steal a Holy Grail to wake him up, which he does.

Another part, the hero had previously broken up with his lover (out of guilt I guess???) reunites with her. She slaps him and then they kiss and make up. Or something.

Kinda... Hopper and Joyce like I guess. 

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

Amiable slackers Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) are once again roped into a fantastical adventure when De Nomolos (Joss Ackland), a villain from the future, sends evil robot duplicates of the two lads to terminate and replace them. The robot doubles actually succeed in killing Bill and Ted, but the two are determined to escape the afterlife, challenging the Grim Reaper (William Sadler) to a series of games in order to return to the land of the living.

As much as I love Keanu, this does not make me happy. The only beneficial thing I can think of is two best friends doing stuff together to solve a mystery (Will and El). Maybe Will will get Keanu’s hair

Ordinary People

Returning home following an extended stay in a psychiatric hospital, Conrad tries to deal with his mental anguish and also reconnect with his mother, Beth (Mary Tyler Moore), who has grown cold and angry, and his emotionally wounded father, Calvin (Donald Sutherland), with the help of his psychiatrist, Dr. Berger (Judd Hirsch).

Ok THIS IS MORE LIKE IT. YES. I probably haven’t seen the movie, but this summary gets me hyped. Let me check out the plot....

“The Jarretts are an upper-middle-class family in suburban Chicago trying to return to normal life after the accidental death of their older teenage son, Buck, and the attempted suicide of their younger and surviving son, Conrad. “

Chicago huh? Hmmmmmm

“ Conrad, who has recently returned home from a four-month stay in a psychiatric hospital, feels alienated from his friends and family and begins seeing a psychiatrist, Dr. Berger. Berger learns that Conrad was involved in the sailing accident that took the life of Buck, whom everyone idolized. Conrad now deals with post-traumatic stress disorder and survivor's guilt. “

This screams Will to me because of the whole alienation of friends and family (plus Will was going to doctors and psychiatrists for a while). BUT, the survivor's guilt thing could be El too. She told him she could fight (she didn’t know she couldn’t at the time she said that) and let him and Joyce go into the danger all alone. But Joyce would never send off her kids to a psychiatrist or ward. And she might not take them to counselors either, she’s been there done that.

“Mother and son often argue while Calvin tries to referee, generally taking Conrad's side for fear of pushing him over the edge again. Things come to a climax near Christmas, when Conrad becomes furious at Beth for not wanting to take a photo with him, swearing at her in front of his grandparents. “

Ooof, well. This movie does not have a particularly happy ending. Basically, Conrad is struggling with guilt and alienation most of the time. He even starts dating someone but it only helps a little. His mother is basically steely faced and refuses to express emotion. She totally blames her younger child for her older child’s death. The Chicago weather is at fault of HBO because of the Game of Thrones premiere. Jensen: Winter is here. Jared: They're trying to upstage us AND the Star Wars convention  

Jared: Anyone running the Boston Marathon at 6 am tomorrow? Jensen: NOPE. * indicates audience and himself* SMART PEOPLE. Then he teases Jared that with all the canceled flights and snow in Chicago, he might also not be running it.

Jensen is going to direct in Season 15 and imagined there will probably be a lot of behind the scenes carries, though they don't know what it'll look like. 

Apparently, everyone who has ever been on Supernatural has been reaching out to Jared like "So! Last season! Can I come back?" He's like THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY EPISODES, WE COULD DO A PERSON EVERY DAY FOR A YEAR AND NOT RUN OUT OF PEOPLE TO BRING BACK

Fan: Will Cas’s initials ever be carved into the table? Jared: No, he’s not a Winchester Jensen: Who are we talking about?

Trolling fan asking when Cas will sign the table. Jensen says eventually the table will be like a guest book and everyone who walks by signs in. Jensen gets to the heart of the issue saying that it loses its meaning if everyone carves their initials on there.  

Jared jokes that Cas should sign the underside of the table. Jensen says he should sign a chair or something easily removable, then they can easily be like "SAM, CAS IS HERE. BRING BACK THE CHAIR." 

Jensen on the carved initials in the bunker: It’s an iconic image that was messed with and it's conflicting, I expect there to be more of the same in the next season. I always loved what that initially stood for and now it’s been added to. The addition of Mary's initials changed that iconic image but it's also a memory of her. 

J2: We're constantly inspired and humbled by the fandom.     

Advice for someone about to do theatre? Jared: You've done theatre way more recently than me. Jensen: DON'T ACTUALLY BREAK YOUR LEG. "You're gonna be nervous. Use it." Jared adds that things will go off plan. Be ready for that moment and embrace it. 

Asked about pranks, they talk about how Jared was recently kicked off set for making Misha laugh too much. But he army crawled back. Everyone could see Jared on the floor except Misha who was looking away. Jensen directed the camera down to Jared. Then suddenly Misha yells because Jared snuck up and grabbed him.

Jensen: They both had bruises...like they went to some odd bondage party. Jared: We did that later... :P 

Their pranks are more opportunistic than the planned stunts people want to believe they get into. Jensen: It's more target practice than anything. *pointing to Jared* But he's committed though.

They got asked what they would ask a super fan after being asked what question they wish someone would ask. Jared: I've never been asked so many questions about what questions I want. Jensen: They've run out of things to ask us. Don't you see what's happening??

A few years ago Jensen, kids, Danneel and Misha ate at a restaurant in Chicago. Danneel ate a super hot pepper and was having a meltdown but Misha didn’t wait to see how it turned out and also at one. They were pouring water on their faces and Jensen was laughing at them. 

Jared came to Chicago in high school. He'd never encountered someone asking for $ so when asked for change he said, "Sorry, I only have large bills." Jared: I could see in his face he was thinking "I should rob this kid probably? He's too dumb. He'll need that to get home." 

“We’ve aged but not grown up.” Jared: I went from a wannabe to a has been in one show!

Jensen: This has been the journey of a lifetime playing this character and alongside these great friends being able to play this alongside friends, but who will be friends for a lifetime, like Jared and Misha. 

Jensen: Playing Dean has been a bit of an escape at times.

Jared: I've learned to forgive myself just as Sam and Dean have learned to forgive

Jared: Misha and I have this conversation, life had all this promise and now it feels like we are past our prime. If anything we are able to provide for our friends and family.

Earliest memory? Jared jokes: Swimming in a race against millions. Jensen: Congratulations you won, how does it feel to be a winner?

Jared: I remember learning how to ride a bike!

When he was a kid, Jensen would get up, sheriffs hat and vest on, his entire ensemble, and play cowboys, that’s how he got his bowlegs lol

Jared likes seeing Sam and Cas on a case together. 

Someone recently gave JJ a gift & she just looked at it and was like, "There's no pink on it." Jensen: So I had to give her a daddy lecture about how it doesn't matter what you get, you say thank you. JJ: But what if there's no pink on it? 

Recently Tom got in trouble for saying Fuck at school. Jensen: I WONDER WHERE HE LEARNED THAT. Both boys laugh and then Jensen whispers, "Me." Then Jared and Gen had to ask him what he said and grab each other's legs like DON'T LAUGH.

Jared: We don't do baby talk around the kids. Jensen: C L E A R L Y.

Fan: If you two were hunters in real life what would you drive? Jared: Tank! Jensen: a James bond kinda car that can go invisible when you go underwater.   

Young fan: How did you get so tall? Jared: I drink a lot of milk. I eat a lot. Jensen: If you're looking to get tall, just do what Jared does. He has a contraption in his home that stretches him. Eat a lot and then just stretch out. 

Fun on set? Jennsen: Between filming, he and I have always filled that time with a lot of fun things. 

Most fun they've had on set?: Jared answers broadly: falling in love with his wife, meeting life-long friends. Jensen talks about moments they've gone out of their way to create: ping pong competitions, the first day of autumn when they play baseball, etc.

Last question: How often do they eat on set? Jensen said he used to just shove food in his mouth in early seasons, but now he takes maybe one bite. That one scene where Dean put spaghetti in a taco? It was Jensen’s idea. “The things we do for art.” 

During a scene, Jensen takes one bite and interrupts all other bites with dialogue. Jared is very impressed with how good he's gotten at fitting his mouth into bite marks he already made lol.

as The World’s Number One Most Stressed Out Human Being™️ i am definitely in no way fit to give advice on how to relax LMFAO 

but i guess something that always works for me is putting on music i KNOW will make me sing a long or make me happy to distract me from the nerves i’m feeling. also putting on my favorite comfort movies to make me feel better (they’re big fish, scott pilgrim vs the world, and spirited away btw lol)

 What are some things that make you tear up?

the ending of coco, seeing my mom cry, or anyone i love cry tbh, when children are neglected/abused, thinking about the world i’ll have to bring my future children into and how i’m going to be able to teach them to stay strong and bright in the face of it, lyrics that hit too close to home, absolutely anything tbh i cry easy

What is your favorite from each sense?

sight - the view of my cherry blossom tree against a pink sunset in the spring of my childhood home, a person’s eyes and how they light up when they smile, especially when they crinkle as they laugh

smell - the earth after rain, a forest in autumn

taste - my mom’s cooking, good coffee on an early morning

but idk theres not really much. emotionally i just tend to get withdrawn and timid in public so it can be hard for me to speak up when i go out

What is one scene from a book that makes you really sad?

unfortunately i haven’t read as many books lately as i did when i was younger...so a lot of my memories are from books that i read like as a kid lol......THAT BEING SAID i think rue and finnick’s death in the hunger games was truly heartbreaking to read, the spine of my copies of both books have cracks on those pages bc i had to read it several times just to really believe it. also i thought it was written so heart wrenchingly well that i had to go back.  also in looking for alaska when pudge, a man who loved to know people’s last words, realized that he would never know alaska’s last words. im also really thankful for that book bc it introduced me to wh auden’s poetry and to this day he’s still one of my favorite poets of all time.
