I found this really funny- well, just to say how it is from my perspective; you could kinda equate it to vocal stimming honestly- I COULD keep myself from doing it, but its a way to express my emotions that dives into instinct. Depending on the sound and how I write around it, I am expressing different feelings that I am having without having to actually say anything!

If you dont mind reading me ramble and try to explain things wile giving examples then you dont need to, ignore the read more <3

For example; when I write that I chirp, I am referring to bird sounds that an actual macaw probably could not make, something more along the lines of other parrots and even songbirds at times. Parrot example

Normally I will write a 'Squawk' when I am surprised or stressed out, and THAT is a macaw sound :> its something more alarming to the ears, and can be quite loud (im not called 'pesky bird' for no reason, am I? hehe)

Then there's cooing, which I sadly cant find an example for qwq; best way I can describe it is a shorter and softer version of a pigeon coo, kinda like a chocobo coo.

I can't figure out a way to explain trilling, or find a good example, but sometimes it can sound like some cat trills..?

I also purr, which can be quite similar to a cat purr (heres a video of a chicken purring that you can use to kinda get an idea, just a warning though she does poop at the end 😭), or more bird like (or kinda a mix of the two?)

Sometimes I'll say that I 'scree' or 'squee' which is just- I donno its kinda like a bird screaming (the 'squee' is softer) but I do it when I'm flustered more than when I am mad. A screech is kinda similar, but that one can hurt even my ears so I dont do it often.

I also growl, which is more of a mimicry sound similar to a dog growl really; and I hiss, which is once again similar to a cat (or a swan, they sound quite similar to cat hisses honestly).

I dont know what else to say- feel free to ask questions :3

also i have a few theories about our MC if you don't mind-

1. so... as i played through the nightmare scene for the 9th time in a row to fully relish the horror and trauma, i realized that our dear (but unfortunate) MC must have gone through something MUCH MUCH worse than merely watching their father get oofed off by their mother 🤔🤔🤔 because i once read somewhere that if someone experiences like a really bad traumatic experience their brain will instinctively suppress their memories and lock them away to protect the person from getting anymore affected and also to give them a sense of normality? dunno about that our brains can be really mysterious sometimes, which brings me to my second theory

2. OK OK OK i know this may sound crazy and also scientifically inaccurate, but i think MC has some sort of Dissociative disorder? i mean- how do you explain their sudden black out from their home to their journey all the way to Bale's territory and the bar? or maybe im just overthinking it and perhaps its somehow related to the hallucinations and the syringes that have been emphasized over multiples times in the demo

3. why do i feel our MC is being drugged with something 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 or maybe something happened before or after the incident with their father otherwise why would Alex act so sus, Vincent too, YALL TOO SUS

and so ends my theory spree as i have exhausted my remaining two brain cells to make SOME kind of sense and connection through this whole theory thing

Oh that is long, but don't be sorry! I love seeing long messages like this 😌And I’m so glad you love the story to this extent 😭

First of all, so there'll be no misunderstandings, I want to make it clear that what the MC is going through isn't exactly a dissociative disorder, although there is some degree of disassociation happening. I can't explain further because it's a very huge spoiler, but not everything they've been experiencing can be solely attributed to the level of trauma and other related occurrences that DID patients often went through before being diagnosed. It's a little... different.

This does not mean, however, that the MC has no repressed memories 😔 If you look carefully, there are actually some more hints spread throughout the demo, although some of them are hidden behind certain routes. A lot are in Chapter 2, though. Anyway, the revelations relating to it won’t be the focus of Book 1, but there will be a lot more clues in the future.

And yeah, I'm afraid Alex and Vincent will continue to be sus all the way.

To be fair, I don't think arresting them counts as offing lmao but yeah there's a heavy corruption occurring within the police force and everybody knows it; it's just that most of the people in Gaile cannot do anything to stop it. And don't worry about Bertrand, he already sleeps with one eye open lmaoooo although he does have kind of a huge role (spoiler: he will always be an asshole).

Wesley's reuinion scene, though... if you all think the flashback scene is already conflicting you, well, the reunion might uh.... actually nevermind, I'm not gonna spoil it.

Jin - The annoying Vice Principal that makes bad jokes and embarrasses himself every field day when he runs away from bugs. You heard he comes from money which could be beneficial. Most of the teachers hate him.

Joon - The gentle 1st grade teacher. He'll sit on the floor with the kids and the little girls fight to sit next to them. He'll even sit on the floor with his class during assemblies. He sometimes will eat lunch with them. He's just so fucking sweet and adorable but disguised as a walking orgasm. He forgets to turn off his teacher voice and when you're not feeling well, he'll ask if your tummy hwurts. Yeah...

Yoongi - Music teacher. Known for being an asshole. Kids sign up for his class thinking its an easy A but he's borderline JK Simmons in Whiplash. Rumor has it he told Tiffany Gianopplus's mother that he sees where she gets her fat fingers from. Jin always saves his ass.

Hobi -The guidance counselor. Very happy and cheery and known to pull ANYONE aside when they're not smiling. However you've seen so many kids leave his office crying. A kiss of the teeth and a eye roll can be seen from him before he puts his mask back on and wishes you a Happy Hump Day! Pretty sure he's still some of the Adderall from the kids.

Jimin - Single dad to the sweetest set of triplets. The little girls look up to you and point you out to their father all of the time. During the first meeting with him, he played the doting father role until he had to take a call where you overheard him mentioning he needs to "cut the brick before it can hit the streets". Now that you think about it, the girls are always perfectly groomed and carry way more cash than expected for 7yr olds...

Tae - Pre K teacher. Always smells like poop. You've seen him run out of assemblies carrying kids in overalls that need to go to the bathroom. Comes to school looks sharp as a tack but leaves looking like he hasn't had a home all his life. Refuses to speak negatively about his kids or his job. Smokes organic marshmallow cigarettes on his break behind the dumpster where he tries to convince you that it isn't bad because its organic and organic is healthy and healthy is great for the future leaders of this world and... and.. and.. just let him cry for a bit. Gladys will bring out his usual glass of apple juice.

Jungkook - The art teacher. He always encourages his students to do what they want and that they are talented regardless. He is a walking lawsuit by how friendly he is to the older girls that stalk him. The younger kids love to color in his tattoos to the dismay of Jin. You often catch him talking to himself. He may take the creative genius persona too far.
