I love to fuck with my favourite characters and Dustin is a fave so I apologise babe
Dustin gets spiked. Sorry for the shitty ending... i remembered it was supposed to be a drabble TW: super vague mentionsof intent to rape
âI wonât go, if you donât want me to,â Dustin said, for thefifth time, glancing back at where he knew Lucas was stood, just staring. Heshook out of his daze and shrugged.
âNo, go! You should go! Iâm just⊠not sure about him.â Hesaid, still confused within himself at why he didnât want Dustin going out. Theyâdbeen together for 4 years, he knew the younger boy would not be leaving him forthis guy, but he still felt off about the whole thing.
âDude, his father is a director. He said he saw potential in me. I canât pass that up!â Dustincontinued, putting down his comb and getting up from the dresser to approachwhere Lucas was still stood, crossed armed.
âI know, babe, I know.â He replied, pulling Dustin closeonce he was within reach, so they were both pressed against the wall, âI know...I canât help if I worry about you,â
âIâll be fine! Iâll text you the whole way. If he triesanything. Iâll bite him, and Dart will sense my pain and come running,â Almoston cue Dart started howling from his cage, Lucas smiled over at him fondly andDustin heart swelled at the amount of love Lucas had for Dart.
(He had squealed the first time he met him. âOh my God. Hethinks heâs a wolf! Dustin, I love him,â)
Dustin still saw a bit of worry in Lucasâ expression.
âFake dating someone isnât the worst thing Iâve ever done,âDustin murmured, then he growled, trying to lighten the mood, and it workedbecause Lucasâ concerned expression morphed into disgust. He pushed Dustin onthe shoulder and turned to walk away when he was caught by the waist and pulledback. Lucas struggled, trying not to concede too quickly.
âBoys who growl donât deserve boyfriends,â He yelledobnoxiously
âNo! baby, donât leave me Iâm sorry.â Lucas finally laughed, spinning around in his boyfriend arms, he placed his hands on Dustinâsshoulders.
âHow sorry?â he asked cheekily.
âooh, let me show you,â Dustin replied, wiggling hiseyebrows, Lucas rolled his eyes but kissed him anyway.
He obviously didnât go to the door when Dylan came around topick Dustin up, they could have played it like he was a roommate but Lucasdidnât need any reason to feel jealous and do something stupid like kiss Dustinto assert his masculinity. He was fine just watching from the upstairs window.
He did get a text soon after he left
8.33 â Dustin: I toldyou, you were hotter. Nothing to worry about *lennyface*
Lucas couldnât help his laughter.
âFucking loser,â he murmured heading to the bedroom, he andDustin had set up a pretty decent fort before he had to leave, and Lucas wasnâtjust going to let it go to waste. He had only seen Black Panther once⊠thisweek. It was time to watch it again.
He let Dart out and the small husky immediately jumped athim,
âOkay boy, câmon letâs go watch some black excellence,â heyipped as if he understood and followed him back to the bedroom, settling inbeside him and licking at his face. He laughed and snuggled up close as hepressed play.
Turns out he didnât have time to feel bad or have anyworried thoughts about Dustin and Dylan because he was getting constant textupdates. At least every 15 minutes.
9.07 â Dustin: You may have to watch your back babe. Dylanâs got anextensive PokĂ©mon collection.
9.07 â Lucas: DnD is better. Itâs okay, Iâll date Will
9.10 â Dustin: Donât you dArE
Lucas giggled and turned to show the messages to dart, whoyapped, recognising the small icon as Dustin. He headbutted the screen.
âWho would get you in the divorce?â he asked, âMe or yourdaddy?â
Dart yapped once. Lucas nodded.
âYeah, thatâs what I thought,â Lucas focused back on thefilm till he felt his phone go off again.
9.23 â Dustin: Damn, PokĂ©mon and a rugby player. Get you a man that doesboth amirite? Why donât you ever offer me your jersey?
9.25 â Lucas: We donât have jerseys you idiot, but you can wear mygross basketball shirt anytime!
9.25 â Dustin: mmhmboyfriend sweat. Rawr
Fucking loser, Lucas thought fondly as he led Dart back tohis cage and fed him dinner, he refilled the water bowl before locking him in. Hewould usually let him roam, but he wasnât currently aware enough to take goodcare of him (Dart fucking loved to escape, and Lucas was too tired to go outsearching â plus it was dark). He didnât want to fall asleep and wake up andhave him gone. Dustin would genuinely murder him.
He returned to another text.
9.31 â Dustin: he puts pineapple on his pizza. At this point I maynever come back babe byefelicia.gif
Lucas just rolled his eyes, pressing play on the movie. DamnDaniel Kaluuya was nice to look at, even if his character was an idiot.
There wasnât another text for a while but at this pointLucas wasnât even worried anymore. He actually felt sorry for Dylan because hewas sure Dustin was spending more time on his phone that paying attention tohim.
10.00 â Dustin: Yikes well he just asked me to come back to his placeto take some headshots for his dad⊠that sound like a proposition to meâŠthoughts?
Lucas bit his lip, contemplating, he didnât want Dustin tomiss out on any opportunities because of him. But he also did not want Dustingoing over to this guys house. He trusted his boyfriend, definitely but hecouldnât speak for the other guy. He must have been thinking for too longbecause another text came in soon after.
10.03 â Dustin: Iâm taking that as a no.,, I thought as much, justwanted to cross check. Iâm in the bathroom now so Iâll just go back out, downmy drink and say I have to head home. The fort still up babe?
10.04 â Lucas: I never want to take it down.
10.04 â Lucas: Also⊠if you really want to go...
10.05 â Dustin: Shut up Lucas. Rollseyes.gif
Lucas sniggers and places his phone down in the bedsidetable. He really, really didnât want Dustin going home with Dylan â so he washappy. He went downstairs to go refill his popcorn and ran into Stan, one oftheir roommates cleaning up. He held back the urge to roll his eyes. He lovedStan, really â but that boy loved to clean.
Lucas tried his hardest, all the time, he ready did, but he wasstill learning how to live with someone with OCD and wasnât sure what to do.
âHey dude, do you wanna come up and watch Shrek with me?â heasked. Stan kept scrubbing â a bit frantically.
âNo, No I, uh, I have a date with Richie in 30 minutes, but,â he paused, breathing frantically, âI canât leave until itâs clean,â hefinished. Lucas nodded, out of his comfort zone. He wished Dustin was here.Dustin was fucking amazing at calming Stan down.
âOkay, Iâll help. We can get this done in like 10!â Lucasoffered, placing the bowl down.
âReally? Thank you, thanks!â Stan shoved some cleaning materialshis way and Lucas chuckled, getting to work on the dishes.
Lucas and Stan manged to clean up in 20 minutes leaving Stan10 to freshen up and get out the door. He was pretty proud of himself. Hesorted his popcorn and ran back up, swearing when he realised he didnât pauseit.
âCanât miss Shrek, this film is iconic,â he whispered tohimself, laughing at his own joke. As he rewound the film he noticed his phoneflashing and remembered Dustin. It was coming close to half ten- he was probablytexting to say he was close by. Lucas picked up his phone to check
10.10 â Dustin: Bill paid, walking to the car! Keep the fort warm forme!
10.12 â Dustin: Luca I donât feel god,,, Cld you make msome soup for,,
10.15 â Dustin: he lockd the doors and im sleep
Lucasâ heart dropped, and he felt his vision tunnel as thesound of the film faded into the background. He must have read that wrong or hewas misinterpreting.
10.15 â Dustin: this isn the way hoeâŠ. Hes not takjin me home. Imscared
This was not happening. This was not happening. Not to Dustin. Not his boy.
10.16 â Dustin: oh my g,
10.16 â Dustin: I think;; he spiked me.
10.16 â Dustin: I thi he spik my coke
Lucas stopped reading the text and looked at the time. Itwas 10.34. This had happened almost 20 minutes ago. He was such a badboyfriend. Anything could be happening. His mind was going wild with possibilities.Anything could be happening. Heneeded to find Dustin and get to him but, no car, they had no car. How could he--?He had toâSteve! Steve had a car. He was a three-minute bike ride away.
Lucasâ mind was made in an instant.
He ran down, stumbling on the stairs and quickly openingSnap-maps to find Dustin. He located him and sped down to Steveâs, it was dangerousbecause he was nervous, his hands were shaking, and he couldnât really see. Healmost got hit multiple times, but it was worth it for his boy.
He banged on Steveâs door obnoxiously and repeatedly till hecame down. He was in pyjamas, but Lucas didnât have the heart to make fun ofhim for going to bed to early.
Steve took in his state and expression and his frown lightenedup.
âWhatâs wrong?â he asked, grabbing his car keys from the standin preparation.
âDustinâI â I canât. Itâs all my fault, spikedâ his drinkgot spiked. We- we need to go. 16 Pembrooke Drive. Steve now, Steve! He spiked him!!Anything could beâhe could beâ oh god!â Lucas didnât even know when he begancrying, he was so frustrated and couldnât believe he was wasting so much time.Dustin had been alone and out of it with the guy for at least half an hour. Whoknows what was happening?
Luckily Steve seemed to understand and nodded solemnly,
âGet in,â he said, beeping the car open and speeding off assoon as they were both in. He inputted the directions into the satnav. Lucas reluctantlywent back to Dustinâs texts
10.13 â Dustin: Sorry, I sosrry, so sorry,. ââ; I cahkgknât
10.13 â Dustin: u wer rit; I sorry ii lovv . I cant ;âkgkjl
âFuck,â he whispered, feeling more frustrated tears comepouring out, âfucking fuck,â he slammed his hand on the dashboard.
âLucas, weâll get there. Heâll be alright.ââ Steve said, hisvoice calm and steady, contrasting his death grip on the steering wheel. Lucasdidnât believe him.
âThis is all my fault, I shouldnât have let him go. Stupid, stupid, stupid,â
âHey, hey listen up shithead. Did you spike him? No. so stopthat self-blame shit, cause thatâs not helping him right now.â Lucasâ mouth slammedshut and he nodded. Steve was right. Focus on Dustin.
They got there, and Lucas was tumbling out of the doorbefore the car had even come to a full stop, he distantly heard Steve reprimandinghim but just ran forward into the house, ramming the door with his shoulder. Hejumped back as pain flared up in his arm, but only took a moment to recover beforehitting it again and again.
âShit, Lucas, step back,â Steve said, when heâd finallycaught up, pushing Lucas back and picking the lock.
They ran in to find a shirtless guy standing in front of thefridge, holding a bowl of grapes. Lucas felt anger flare up in his gut as hetook in his dishevelled hair and unclasped jeans. The guy frowned when theywalked in, taking a step back,
âWho the fuck are you? Why are you in my house?â He asked,
âDylan Ffion?â Lucas asked, stalking towards him. The guy shrugged, dropping the grapes and crossing his arms defensively,
âWhoâs asking?â Lucas reared back and decking him across theface. Groaning when he pulled his shoulder more and bruised his knuckles, thepunch wasnât as hard as he would have liked but the shock factor helped him asthe guy flew back, clutching his nose. âWhat the fuck, dude?â
âWhereâs Dustin?â he asked coldly, the guys eyes widened in realisation, but he quickly schooled his expression, grabbing a cloth to catch the bleeding.
âfuck! What are you a jealous ex? I donât have to tell youshit about his dating life,â dating life,Lucas felt disgust grow in the pit of his stomach.
âLook, you fuck, Dustin texted me saying you drugged him,you piece of shit, so unless you want me to leave and go straight to thestation, youâll tell me where he is and pray to God I find him in a decent condition. If I find that youâve harmed a single fucking hair on his head, Iâll skin you.âHe reeled off, stepping into the other guys personal space. He seemed tofinally be understanding how serious the situation was and began stutteringthrough an excuse.
ân-nah dude, youâve got it wrong. I was j-just helping him. Hehad too much to drink andâŠâ Lucas scoffed rolling his eyes and grabbing Dylan bythe collar, cutting off his spiel,
âWhere. Is. he?â
âUpstairs, first room on the right,â he choked out just as Stevewas pulling Lucas off him,
âDude you donât wanna get done for assault, go get him. Iâlldeal with this shithead,â he said, shooing him upstairs. Lucas heart was in histhroat as he ran up and to the room Dylan had said, he bit his lip when he sawDustin, passed out on the bed. He could almost pretend he was asleep form thisfar away, but upon approaching him he could see the faint tear tracks on hischeeks. His heart was in his throat as he approached the bed.
âHey Dusty,â He said, gently shaking him, âCan you hear me,love?â Dustin groaned on the bed, his eyelids flickered, and his fingerstwitched. Lucas took his hand tightly, feeling his eyes tear up, âCâmon baby, wake up please,â he murmured, rubbing the back of his knuckles with his thumb. Allhe got in reply was another groan. He ripped of the blanket, cringing when hesaw his boyfriend was just in his underwear,
âShit, Dust, where are your clothes?â he asked quietly, looking around the room. He grabbed a dressing gown, wrapping Dustin in it andpicking him up. On his way out, he noticed Dustinâs jeans on the floor, andgrabbed them as well.
âSteve can I have your keys?â he asked as they walked by theliving room.
âFuckâ Steve uttered when he turned around and saw Dustin inLucasâ arms, âOf course,â he threw him the keys and all Lucas could think as hemade his way back to the car was that he let his happen.
âNever again,â he whispered, kissing Dustinâs forehead, âNeveragain,â

What We Learned: Canadiens continue to make themselves worse for no apparent reason
Another summer, another wasted asset? (Getty)
The Alex Galchenyuk trade was a long time coming, thatâs true.
But if you saw the immediate assessment from pretty much everyone on Friday night, you fully understand that everyone sees this as another big L for the Montreal Canadiens.
The question to be asked of any trade is, âWhatâs the point?â and if youâre Marc Bergevin, what answers could you possibly begin to offer that make sense? Galchenyuk was a natural talent who was nearly a point-a-game player early in 2016-17, when he was already coming off a 30-goal season as an age-21 center, before a bad knee injury seemed to set him back. That was all the Habs needed to inexplicably shuffle him away from the middle of the ice forever, despite the fact that they desperately needed someone â anyone â who could play that position in a lost season when they had all the time in the world to experiment.
Instead, his most frequent linemates this season were Jonathan Drouin, a good player, and Artturi Lehkonen (not so much). Galchenyuk still ended up as the teamâs second-leading scorer who was also third in goals despite playing just 16 minutes and change a night somehow.
Again, it was clear the Habs wanted little, if anything, to do with him but if the plan was seemingly always to trade him, the way they handled him this season was baffling. If youâre trying to get someone to buy high on a guy you donât really value that much, you have to put him in more of a position to succeed, especially if youâre trying to sell people on the fact that heâs a competent center. Instead, Bergevin and by extension Claude Julien spent much of the season more or less saying, âI know this guy isnât ready to be an NHL center after that knee injury 18 months ago,â and even if that were true and you had your heart set on shipping him out this summer, thatâs not how you handle it.
The return for Galchenyuk, who will absolutely be used as a center in Arizona, was left winger Max Domi. Youâll notice that, in the Canadiensâ pursuit of a legit No. 2 center, they seem to have traded one away for a guy who is decidedly not a center at all, which is a weird decision. Moreover, while Domi and Galchenyuk have identical career points-per-game numbers, Domi has also played nearly 200 fewer games in his career.
Ah, well, Domi debuted in 2015-16, versus the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign for Galchenyuk. But hereâs the thing: their birthdays are separated by fewer than 13 months. It took Domi longer to get himself to Galchenyukâs level, and while their games are very different â Domi is more of high-skill grinder set-up man-type player â the amount of quality they bring to their respective teams should be a major point of concern.
After all, if Bergervinâs media availability about the trade referenced âenergyâ and âintangiblesâ more than once, with an ask for doubters to watch highlights on YouTube, that should be telling. That in addition to the acknowledgement that this guy is, of course, definitely not a center. You can find some really great goals scored by, like, Fernando Pisani or Alex Tuch. These arenât the kinds of guys you trade Galchenyuks for.
Domi wasnât exactly running with the biggest of the big dogs in Arizona (he mostly played with Christian Dvorak and Clayton Keller), but he still finished 17th in primary assists per 60 among players with at least 500 minutes at full strength this year. In the same neighborhood as Jaden Schwartz and Evgeni Malkin. Nothing to sneeze at. The question is, do they put him on Drouinâs top line immediately? If not, who else can he pass the puck to that will be able to convert at the same rate as a Keller?
No one is saying Domi is a bad player â though his worse-than-Zac-Rinaldo underlying numbers on a crap Arizona team certainly donât say heâs a good one either â but the Canadiens donât seem to have acquired the best player in the deal, either. And in fact, theyâve moved on from a player that theoretically could help at a position of need (even if they were reticent to try him there) for one that definitively does not help there.
Sure, heâs 12-and-a-half months younger, and came with an advantageous contract situation â the Habs immediately signed Domi to a two-year extension worth $3.15 million against the cap, after which heâll still be an RFA due to his wholesale lack of service time â but the cap savings on this deal is only about $1.75 million, and itâs not like Montreal is right up against the ceiling or anything anyway. They have to re-sign like four guys and will have $21 million or so in cap space right now, so thatâs probably an indicator that the GM is going on safari with some big game in mind.
Maybe, if youâre being charitable to Bergevin, you argue thatâs $1.75 million more that can go to a big signing this summer thatâs going to steer this team out of the skid. But can you honestly trust Bergevin to make such a signing? Short of John Tavares, whoâs he going to acquire that makes the kind of impact Montreal needs such a player to make? The decision-making on both the UFA and trade markets exhibited by this particular group of executives has been beyond baffling for years, and itâs not about to turn around just because Bergevin may or may not have an in with Tavaresâs agent.
But it once again circles back to what a guy provides, yâknow? Domi is probably at a maxed-out value (pardon the pun) because itâs hard to see him staying an elite set-up man for too long; his personal all-situations shooting percentage was just six this year, well below his previous career average, but his teammates shot a whopping 11.6 percent with him on the ice. Maybe you chalk that up to his elite set-up skills, but also, there probably arenât too many guys who can reasonably support an 11-plus teammate shooting percentage long-term. Especially with a low-talent group like the Coyotes and Canadiens both have. Most of the guys with on-ice shooting percentages of 9-plus over the past three seasons have names like Matthews, McDavid, Perry, and Pastrnak; can we really consider Domi in that group?
Unlike the Habs, Arizona actually put Domi in a position to succeed, and while they probably werenât shopping him, one imagines that when Bergevin called, John Chayka felt it was one of those âweâre always listening but theyâd have to bowl me overâ offers.
Apologists will say that the jury is out until theyâve played the full 82 in 2018-19, or maybe even longer. But when the hockey world â even the national media guys who donât usually put the boots to teams over this kind of thing â is collectively laughing up its sleeve at what seems to be another lost trade for the Canadiens, you really have to wonder.
Three summers in a row, Montreal has traded out at least one name-brand player. Subban, Sergachev, and now Galchenyuk. The return has been Weber, Drouin, and now Domi. Is that a team thatâs improving? Is it even a team that seems to have any kind of direction?
The only thing Bergevin should be happy about these days is that heâs not Pierre Dorion.
What We Learned
Anaheim Ducks: I can assure you: Teams should always always always always always take the best player available. âShould they do that?â is a question we need to stop asking.
Arizona Coyotes: Click here to see Shane Doan whining about how Galchenyuk doesnât Play The Right Way. Also note Galchenyuk, at age 21, had as only one fewer 30-goal seasons as Doan did in a 21-year career. Doan would probably also like to see Galchenyuk chicken-wing elbow a few more opponents in the face. Get lost!
Boston Bruins: This is a nice little deal for Matt Grzelcyk. Think this could be a very good bottom-three defenseman for a number of years.
Buffalo Sabres: The Sabres love acquiring guys who were on BU in 2015. Insofar as theyâre up to four such players. Which is a lot.
Calgary Flames: The Flames would be delighted to move up in the draft but Brad Treliving said, âIâd like a helicopter, too.â So probably donât get your hopes up.
Carolina Hurricanes: The Hurricanes should already be trying to extend budding star Sebastian Aho but the player would be very wise to refuse until he has another potentially get season.
Chicago: Well, these are definitely two guys, for sure.
Colorado Avalanche: I love to qualify my lede about the Avs maybe moving up to No. 4 by the eighth word of the first sentence.
Columbus Blue Jackets: Haha yeah, okay.
Dallas Stars: Kari Lehtonen is selling his house and maybe that means heâs done in Dallas after this season you never never know.
Detroit Red Wings: The Wings have offered pending UFA Mike Green $6 million for one year or $10 million for two. Take the latter deal, Mike.
Edmonton Oilers: There are still players who WANT to play for the Oilers? Signs and wonders.
Florida Panthers: The Panthers made a big deal out of their 25-anniversary logo and itâsâŠâŠÂ fine I guess. I always loved the crossed-hockey-stick-and-palm-tree secondary logo.
Los Angeles Kings: I absolutely did not hear about the Kings trading for Peter Budaj again last week. So hereâs that news.
Minnesota Wild: Pretty good examination of how the Wild miiiiiiiight be able to make some small changes to improve their chances to compete. But also, good luck in that division hahaha.
Montreal Canadiens: Yeah again Domi is a good playmaker but for whom is he Playmaking?
Nashville Predators: Sure the Predators donât need to make any kind of big changes but imagine if they felt like doing that anyway?
New Jersey Devils: Hereâs New Jersey governor Phil Murphy throwing $20 in the trash.
New York Islanders: I literally wonât believe a word about Tavares re-signing until it happens and even then Iâm gonna be like, âYeah, but really?â
New York Rangers: Plenty of machinations coming up for the Rangers in the week ahead. Having that many first-round picks is a nice kind of luxury, isnât it?
Ottawa Senators: I love that the Sens finally got around to suspending Randy Lee a full 17 days after he was arrested. Dorionâs out here like âWe made it clear we donât tolerate this kind of stuffâ and itâs like, come on man who are you fooling?
Philadelphia Flyers: Just in case you were wondering whether buying tickets to preseason games was a ripoff, the Flyers and Islanders are playing each other four times in September.
Pittsburgh Penguins: Horrible news about a Pens prospect and his junior teammates injured in a fire.
San Jose Sharks: If the Sharks can get a good forward this summer I like them a lot to come out of this division.
St. Louis Blues: This is an evergreen headline, to be honest.
Tampa Bay Lightning: Tyler Johnson, the Spokane Enjoyer. Say, do you think there might be an NHL team near Spokane, like maybe about four hours away, sometime soon?
Toronto Maple Leafs: Honestly, if you can get Tyler Bozak relatively cheap (which I doubt) heâd be a useful bottom-six center.
Vancouver Canucks: The Canucks probably should be looking at a buyout or two but probably wonât make a move there because, ah, why bother?
Vegas Golden Knights: So funny that an expansion team isnât picking until 61st. Very sad!
Washington Capitals: Iâm increasingly of the opinion that John Carlson really might re-sign after all.
Winnipeg Jets: Donât get it twisted: Just because the Jets are really good now doesnât mean Winnipeg is no longer a âfrozen outpost.â
Gold Star Award
I always feel so happy when guys get traded out of bad markets, so congrats to Alex Galchenyuk!
Minus of the Weekend
Phew, that was a close one for Max Domi, who is no longer an immigrant now that heâs moved back to his home country. Now heâs gotta Make the Canadiens Great Again!
