Besides Nagi’s, I also really like Rin’s! He looks so pretty and ethereal, really like a unicorn wandering through the forest under the moonlight. I assume he’s a Kirin which are also like “Chinese unicorns” sometimes?

Isagi is really giving divine emperor energy with Bachira as his right hand man, Chigiri looks very queenly per usual in all his merch, and Reo looks like a wise sage! It's funny how the first three have really brightly coloured design, while the other three are more toned down which I find prettier.

I know they're meant to represent all the different divine beasts in Chinese mythology, but the classifications are all mixed up which triggers me lol (Four symbols vs Four Holy Beasts plus Bachira being the fifth Yellow Kirin). It ain't that deep and there's no symbolic significance besides aesthetic reasons but still 😭

Khonshu x Reader

TW/CW: Reader works at the Gift Shop with Steven, implied anxiety etc. Mean boss, mean people (and one or two very bad words)! But don't worry Khonshu is there!

A/N: I've had moments like these before. I was literally in tears when I worked at Pizza Hut because one customer said the most awful things just because I couldn't hear her over the phone. (Like I'm sorry lady, how about you get a better cellphone provider. Bitch. I wish I could've said that to her lmao)

Today was well and truly... awful. You weren't sure why your luck had soured so famously, but it had.

Like someone poured vinegar in a fresh glass of warm milk.

First, your alarm clock had shorted out during the night, so you were nearly an hour late for work. Then, you'd dropped your cell into puddle on the way into work, making it shut off with possibly no way of turning back on...

Then Donna gave you a verbal tongue-lashing for being late, and when you tried to explain what had gone wrong, she was less than sympathetic.

"Look, I don't bloody care why you were late, but I had to take up the first portion of your shift because you were late." She scoffed, dropping a box of product roughly into your hands; causing you to fumble your phone in an effort not to drop the box... resulting in your poor cell getting its screen cracked on the museum's hard tile floor.

Poor Steven tried to rush up to alleviate the strain on you, already whisking the box away to inventory so you could get a chance to decompress behind the register--he knew that Donna couldn't resist tearing him a new one over the tiniest thing; and she'd followed him in, naturally. And you were damn near almost in tears from your horrible morning, so far.

Steven was willing to let her drag him into the back room and take her abuse if it meant giving you a space to breathe.

And you were grateful for the breather... even if it didn't last long.

Naturally... a woman had come in regarding a toy she'd bought from the gift shop for her child, or her nephew, or... someone--and apparently the child had broken it shortly after leaving the museum, and as per store policy... Once it left the museum you couldn't exchange it. And even then, all sales were final.

There was even a sign in big bold letters stating as such!

And this woman would simply not take that for an answer.

According to her, you should "just give her a refund, then" and that "the customer was always right" and you had "poor business sense" if you rejected her squawking.

Every time you tried to get a word in, she would just shout louder and louder. Suddenly, there was a crowd watching (some with their cellphones out) as this woman verbally abused you, plucking at your last frayed nerve violently just because she wanted something to do.

And worst of all... Donna had come out. She didn't defend you, didn't step in and explain the woman's point of view was, indeed, wrong; and that you couldn't offer a refund or exchange, as per policy.

She just watched, smacking her gum with an almost bored expression, quirking her plucked brow obnoxiously as she checked her watch.

Donna was waiting to see you attempt at defusing the situation. Or maybe she was just enjoying the humiliation being doled out on you as petty revenge for her having to cover your shift this morning. Each cruel, loud, spiteful thing she hurled at you just chipped away at you, making you shrink further and further into the edges of a crying fit.

You could feel the tears building in your eyes, almost at the edges of your lashes, trying desperately to blubber out the same thing you'd been repeating to this shrew of a woman since she walked in.

But the worst thing of all? Was the horrible, cruel things she spouted at you when you were stammering and tripping over your own words to try and placate her somehow and get her to understand, even if it was just partially.

She sneered at you, her glossed lips pulling back to reveal her too-white teeth as she spat at you.

"What? Too stupid to understand me, now?" Her shrill voice demanded, "You bloody retarded or something?! I want my money back or give me a new damn toy!"

That was it. The gasp from the people watching bled into shocked silence as you finally snapped, burying your face in your hands and just bawling at it all--the stress of your bad day hitting you like a weight just simply dropped onto your shoulders with the force of a runaway freight train.

You hands trembled as you sniffled and sobbed, trying to get words out between your hiccups and hitched breathing.

What you hadn't realized, however... was that someone else had been watching from the shadows. Unable to take it anymore, he finally stepped ahead to do something about it.

A tall figure, dressed in a crisp white suit stepped through the spectators, hazel eyes fixed in a cold, crushing glare as his feet stomped with divine purpose.

And he. Was. Pissed.

Donna barely had a moment to straighten her posture as Khonshu marched up to the customer, grabbing her wrist and pulling her away from you when she reached for your shirt.

"Enough!" His voice boomed, making even Donna jump in his tone and bass.

He got in the woman's face as she blinked dumbly up at him, "You are the most irritating, disgusting, contemptible little wretch I have ever had the displeasure of having my senses assaulted with!"

Her lip wibbled at the turn of events, "But, I want--"

"Have you not a brain between you ears?" Khonshu sneered, throwing her hand down and taking the theatrical approach and wiping his hand on his suit, "No. I should expect not. Nor a conscience, if I had to guess, judging by how utterly moronic you sound."

He didn't give her space to speak, much like she didn't to you; "Or is your brain buried beneath all that disgusting spray in your hair and pounds of makeup you have caked onto your skin to hide your premature aging?"

The crowd gasped, snickering and whispering to each other. A few more phones came up to record. Donna stayed put. Khonshu glanced at you as your sobbing stopped to shortened, stuttering breaths as you watched him.

"No, I choose to believe you simply lack one at all. You placed your spoiled ego where it should be," He scoffed, waving his hand at her dismissively. "Leave, and do not come back. Your patronage is pointless, as is your obnoxious crowing. And should you continue to harass my lover, I will see to it personally..."

He got inches from her face, leaning down. She could almost swear she saw his eyes flash with dangerous light, "...that you regret it."

"But--but--"

"Are you deaf as well as dumb?" Khonshu spat. "Leave."

The woman argued no further, cursing and saying she will file a complaint with someone at how rude you were supposedly being. Nevermind you had over a dozen witnesses, recordings...

Donna stepped up to say something, but Khonshu interrupted her, narrowing his eyes shrewdly, "Do not attempt to lecture me, woman. You are being a spiteful, petty little creature, ignoring the fact that dreadful situations have already befallen my love this early in the day... and letting that woman abuse and harass needlessly just to make you feel superior because you had to pick up your lazy feet and actually do your job."

Donna's jaw dropped and her face began to redden with anger, her hands balling into fists, "You--you bloody--"

Khonshu held his hand up to silence her, "Oh, and do not take out your frustrations on my lover. It is, after all, against laws and policies to punish your employees due to something happening that didn't regard their performance or work ethics, no? Should you do so, I will make your life hell on Earth."

You almost laughed, Donna's mouth opened and closed like a fish gasping for air before she cursed under her breath and stormed off into the museum, bumping shoulders roughly with a patron.

The crowd began to cheer, but it only seemed to annoy Khonshu even further. He pointed and authoritative finger at all of them, "Do not applaud what I did. Any of you could have easily done the same. Yet all you did was film and gawk, you did not lift a hair to come in and diffuse the situation!"

You watched, speechless, as Khonshu lectured the crowd, sounding much like a disappointed and angry father than anything else--you even saw a few of them actually cringe when he pointed out their shortcomings in the situation--and watched still as they began to part, slinking away, humbled and with their tails tucked between their legs.

Khonshu pulled the handkerchief from his breast pocket and reached out over the counter, gently wiping the evidence of your tears away; his expression gentle and a far cry from what he'd given to the others. He always reserved his gentler nature for you.

"Thanks, I... I just... I..." You tried to explain. But he silences you with the soft swipe of his thumb over your cheek, then down over your lips.

"I will not hear anything of it," He told you. "Those people are idiots. That woman was cruel, and Donna, frankly--to steal a quote from Marc--is a bitch."

A short, sudden laugh bubbled up from you at his phrasing. He was typically more... eloquent with his insults. That one caught you off-guard.

"That's what I want to hear from you." Khonshu murmured. He pulled you in, his hand moving to the back of your neck, and leaned over the counter to kiss your forehead.

"The day will get better, love. I will stay with you to make sure of it."

You & the girls went to the shopping mall, you all split up, went to your shops of choice & promised to meet at the food court at a fixed time. You were shopping with Naomi & B-Fab at Zara when you realized you didn't bring anything fancy to wear, you didn't know you were gonna go on a date with your work crush. You started looking at dresses which you considered date worthy & finally picked a nice strapless dark denim dress, kinda casual, but date worthy at the same time, it was Summer anyway & only the beginning. You knew if this one goes well, you'll have a more intimate one later.

Thanks to your job & its perks of interviews, conferences or gigs you packed your heels just in case, it'd go with your dress. B-Fab was still trying on clothes, she had a date coming up too. Naomi & you went to the front counter to check-out, and then decided to wait for B. "That dress is really cute sister!" she said. "Thanks sister!" you grinned "love your outfits, you're a Trinsetter!" She laughed pointing at you "I see what you did there!" Bri finally checked out her outfits & came out with her shopping bags. "Well, it's about damn time!" said Naomi "what took you so long?" you asked. "I couldn't help it! They have a sale, and I ran out of outfit ideas for SmackDown" she said. You rolled your eyes "says the girl who has a whole Nordstrom for luggage" "hey! Ain't nothing wrong with being prepared" she said.

The 3 of you went off to Sephora to get some last minute gems, met at the food court with the rest of the girls & left. You were surprised nobody questioned you about the dress or anything else. Evening approached, you got out of the shower & lathered yourself up with your favorite lotion & fragrances to prep for your date. You kept your hair down, wore your dress, jewelry, heels & kept the makeup basic since it was just a casual date. You grabbed your purse & got ready to leave when B-Fab walked into the room.

"Ooh girl! You look so hot! Making quite the first impression on T.L huh?" she winked "Are they a girl friend or a guy friend? You usually don't dress up like this unless it's special." She was right, you were a tomboy who didn't like to dress too much & kept it comfortable rather than haute couture, but when you did, it meant something special. You did tell her about your crush on Loa, and she's always been there for you when you needed someone. Hopefully she can keep a secret so you decided to tell her.

You were snapped out of your thoughts by her "Y/N! Pull your ass out of La La Land!" "Sorry Bri! Listen, if I share something with you, could you pleeease not tell anyone?" She raised a brow at you "you didn't kidnap someone did you? Or rob a bank?" "Hell no! It's much less serious than that! It's more of a secret." You took her to the bathroom because you knew the hotel walls are thin & you never know who's listening. She was confused "okay, you know the T.L. person I'm supposed to see tonight? It's not a friend" she scrunched her face up in confusion "wait what?-" "It's Tonga Loa, I have a date with him tonight, it's our first one" you confessed.

Her eyes widened & she let out a gasp "YOU'RE GOING ON A DATE WITH THE TONGA LOA???" you quickly covered her mouth with your hand "why don't you say it louder for the world to hear?" "I'm sorry girl! But how? When?" she asked "yesterday, after the whole catering drama I was ready to leave & he stopped by we talked, he apologized on Tama's behalf which he shouldn't have, talked about our matches, and then he asked me out" you gushed. "Oh my God!" she squealed "is that why you were talking on the phone for so long at brunch today?" You blushed, "yes, but please don't tell anyone, it's between him, me & you now" she squeezed your shoulder "I won't tell a soul, you get out there & have a fun time! Steal his heart! Give me all the details after!" "Will do" you smiled as you both left the bathroom.

Your phone went off meaning you got a text, you opened it up & saw it was from Bianca. Your eyes widened, you totally forgot she was dropping you off to your date with Loa. Bri saw your expression, "what's wrong babe?" "Bianca's dropping me off to the date which is a bar & grill, I forgot. She has no clue, and you know if anyone finds out about us all hell will break loose right?" you were anxious. Bri pulled you into a hug "sister, I got your back. If anyone tries to find out, I'll stall 'em. You go out there & have a great time. You only live once!" she smiled. "I love & appreciate you more than you know Bri" you said hugging her tight & kissing her head. "Likewise, he makes you happy that's all that matters, go get your man! Good luck! Don't be late! You don't want to keep him waiting!" You waved bye to her & left the room.

You took the elevator down to the lobby to meet Bianca, before that you passed by the gym, you saw Tama & Solo in front of the gym entrance talking to each other. "Fuck!" you thought to yourself, did this have to happen now? Loa was right, they love to get their last minute workouts in.You silently passed by trying to avoid detection & looked the other way, but that failed since they eventually saw you walk by them. "Where's she off to?" mumbled Tama behind you. "I don't know, but isn't it a little too late to be going out dressed like that?" questioned Solo.

You stopped in your tracks, they said 2 venomous sentences & you already had enough. "Bro went out somewhere too" said Tama "but he can manage his sleeping schedule unlike someone else" causing Solo to chuckle. You curled your fists up. "We don't have any gigs or Meet & Greets, but I'm surprised someone actually wants to see her." said Solo. You turned around to face them.

"Listen, what I do is none of your damn business. I'm not one of either of your children. If y'all spent more time on your workouts than gossiping about women maybe you'd be entertaining in the ring & then you won't have to copy & paste off of your cousin's Tribal Chief character to be relevant" you snapped, both men looked pissed, maybe you should've just kept walking. Tama got off the wall he was leaning against & walked towards you, with a death glare on his face when he got cut off by Bianca calling you.

"Y/N! I've been waiting for you for the past 10 minutes aren't you going to be late to meet your friend?" Solo scoffed "her friend? She has friends?" Bianca's expression turned from worried to cold. "Who the hell am I then? A ghost?" she defended. She went up to you & directed you away from Tama & Solo "worry about my husband & brother kicking y'alls asses next week instead of her. I'd go back in there & train with God if I were you. My man doesn't fear anyone but him. Let's go Y/N" she said taking you away from the gym. Once the both of you were out of their sight, Solo looked at Tama; "request Nick Aldis, for a Street Fight next week against The Street Profits" Tama nodded making the younger man smirk.

Hello! I just did yet another reread of your comic, so here's a list of random things I love about it!! Sorry if this is a bit uuuhhhh MUCH but I just love your comic a lot, and want to share some of that love, and this seemed like the best way to go about that. So:

-The way Azazel's wings are so fluffy and Jophiel's are so sleek! Your stylization of them is so pretty.

-How you draw Azazel's hands always folded as if in prayer, or fiddling...even though the rest of him is often so still. Very true to Aziraphale, of course, but also fitting of an owl - still and always observing. But still, something that betrays that vigilance.

-Jophiel's honest-to-someone mullet in Mesopotamia. I love him so much. His little curls give me life.

-How Jophiel is always moving, angling his head in funny ways, pulling absurd expressions! He's so fun and mobile, which is just perfect to contrast our very sad and stationary owl.

-just a second being overwhelmed again at the fact that Azazel risked and gave up everything for Jophiel and continues to do so after Falling for him I'm fine I'm fine I'm fine this is fine.

-The way they are so in character in this!! I love reverse AUs but it's very hard to keep them in character in them. You do so flawlessly, to the point that as I find myself trying to imagine future story beats, I struggle to because I just see them acting the way they do in the canon. Stellar writing.

-Jophiel's wink in Mesopotamia. This deserves its own point in this list. As does Azazel finally getting to look happy in the frame after, even if it doesn't last...oh sweet owl...

-Azazel tugging on Jophiel's abaya in Golgatha...completely unnecessary to get his attention, didn't need to pull him closer or anything, but it's like the fiddling of his hands wasn't soothing enough and he needed to reach out in this moment of fear for Jophiel, always asking questions.

-The return of Jophiel's mullet in Heaven! Hell yeah

-help you draw Muriel SO cute.

-Azazel's "I've personally witnessed an Angel become an owl" PLEASE it's so devastating yet so funny

-Every time we get a little frame of just Jophiel's eyes reacting with sorrow and anger at moments when it's so, so clear Azazel was never meant to Fall. His eyes are SO expressive. I don't think your future sunglasses are gonna hide the fact that you're constantly glaring at god my guy.

-I really love the way you draw Jophiel's nose, it's gorgeous!

-Jophiel. Calls. Him. Angel. Need to lie down

-Seriously, I should've anticipated it, and I didn't, that's on me, but my HEART was not READY and I'm obsessed with this scene and its implications. The way Jophiel, deep down, doesn't even see Azazel as a demon ("you were an angel once" "that was a long time ago"). How pleased and adorable Azazel is at being referred to thusly (the little hair poofs!!!). The care they have long held for each other, in its unique and strange manifestations, revealing itself as a tangible burgeoning affection.

-Jophiel's declaration on the most recent page to protect Azazel, having no freaking clue that he's frankly 4500 years late to the game. Glad to have you here, your demon friend has been protecting YOU since before time was invented! Woo...but seriously, such a powerful and touching moment all around.

Anyway, I know this is ridiculously long, but goodness knows long comments on my GO fics always make ME very happy, so I figured you wouldn't mind. ;) I eagerly anticipate every update and bit of art, and when you make this comic into physical form, I will be camping out front of the pre-orders like it's a Black Friday sale. So, I just got this amazingly lovely Commission from @stephreynaart of my two Gravity Falls OCs, Maggie and Sydney, as sort of an early Christmas gift for myself (and because I saw they were having a sale on their Comm prices)! And my goodness, they absolutely knocked it out of the park. My heart is so full 🥺😭🫶🏼

The idea is based off this section of the long Gravity Falls fic I’ve been writing on-and-off with my best friend, Matilda (again, not her real name, just an alias for privacy) since around 2020, though I think I actually started writing it before beginning to collaborate with her around 2018. So this fic has been in the works for a very long time!! But we’re almost finished with it (we’re very close) and are planning to continue writing it so it gets done eventually!! So that’s very exciting.

Anyway, the scene takes place during the episode Soos and the Real Girl in Season Two, and Maggie has had a crush on Sydney for a very long time, since they first met in The Time Traveler’s Pig back in Season One. And this is when they finally have their first kiss at Hoo-Ha Owl’s Jamboree:

“You have quite the moves, Syd.” I laughed, my face becoming warmer, and my hands rubbing against my thighs as I searched for something to occupy them with.

She bumped my shoulder with a playful smirk occupying her face, “They weren’t as impressive as when you knocked that beaver with a chair! That look of determination on your face was… whoa.” 

I could’ve sworn she turned away after saying that, but I didn’t comprehend why.

My smile soon faded into more of a frown, “I don’t think I could have handled all of those animatronics without you.”

“I mess things up all the time, and I’m not as brave as you are.” I looked at the ball pit below us, groaning. “Soos didn’t get along with Melody because of me. It’s just that you’re so courageous, I don’t know if I’m good enough.”

Sydney sighed and put an arm around me, “Who got the courage to talk to me?”

I looked up at her, pausing for a moment, “I did?”

“Who helped stop a Summerween monster?”

“You and Soos did.”

“Maggie, you still helped! Who got up the courage to stop Gideon from taking over the town with his giant robot?”

I smiled, “I did.”

“Who stood up to Bill Cipher twice?”

I stood up, “I did!”

“I don’t like you because of traits you think matter. I like you because of traits you have that do matter. You’re courageous, you’re smart, and you’ve protected me more than once.” She chuckled softly. “Honestly, I have doubts too, so you’re not alone. But I think it’s safe to say that going to that fair and meeting you was the best decision I ever made.”

I couldn’t help but feel extremely warm, and my heart started beating faster than before. It was no longer a hummingbird, more like an avalanche of rocks tumbling down the side of a mountain, pushing everything else in its path away.

“You were amazing back there just now, you know. And I would’ve been toast if it wasn’t for those Taekwondo moves you showed me that one time. How about you give yourself some credit once in awhile and enjoy things as they come.”

She leaned forward and gave me a huge bear hug. I reciprocated it, enjoying the moment of peace and quiet after the chaos of .GIFfany.

“Like what?” I asked, wanting some clarification.

“Like this.”

Before I could even process what was occurring, Sydney leaned forward. Her face was becoming closer to mine, and my heart became a hummingbird needing desperate release from a cage. I almost leaned back because of instinct, and there was part of me that didn’t want to allow myself to believe that what was occurring was really occurring. 

Then her lips connected with mine.

It was gentle and tentative at first, and for a moment, all I could focus on was how smooth and delicate Sydney’s mouth felt. Despite my fear, I couldn’t help but reciprocate. The kiss was filled with an unspoken promise and understanding that our connection ran deeper than any self-doubt I harbored. And I couldn’t believe she felt the same way about me as I did about her. This entire time we could’ve been doing this.

The kiss deepened and our hands soon found each other. They interlocked like the twine of a basket, finding each other in the midst of this newfound connection. My other hand explored Syndey’s hair, her wonderful, flowing locks that cascaded like a waterfall down her back.

Sydney laughed once we separated, and we both panted, breathless. Our foreheads rested against each other, “We should probably go. I think we should give Soos and Melody some time alone.”

I laughed and followed her down, and Mabel tackled me in the ball pit.

“MAGGIE, YOU HAD YOUR FIRST KISS! It seems Soos and Melody aren’t the only match meant to be.” Mabel grinned.

“It seems like it.” I quickly hugged her and adjusted my glasses, which were starting to slide down my face.

anyway i love all the resident evil games, i love gore in video games like it just gives me a huge rush of adrenaline idk, i like scary games overall, my sister who is 20 is the biggest tomb raider fan, her room is full of lara croft posters, her phone cover is a picture of lara croft, etc. i love until dawn too, i remember watching berleezy playing it around 2015 and got hooked straight away, when the game goes on sale im definitely buying it straight away

playing arkham knight was so fun, i love solving puzzles in games it just gets my brain working, and i love the parts with jason todd, he’s too fine he can release all his pent up frustration out on this coochie idk 🙂‍↕️ ive literally forgot everything that has happened in outlast, im waiting for my sister when she’s finally has a break from work since she won’t allow me to play it by myself…. the witcher is soooo good ! you should play it one day when you can <3

Mini Update - 11/8/22

I'm more or less recovered from my surgery (got my tubes ✂️). I wasn't in pain until I returned to work but I still took a full week off from my vanilla job because work sucks and I couldn't stand/walk for long periods of time.

I mostly just rested on the couch but I managed to still make it to class that week since I could just sit and listen to the lecture. Towards the end of the week, I felt well enough to meet a friend for lunch (who was also recovering from surgery) and bought a bunch of books from a massive used book sale.

First days back at work were 11 hour shifts and hellish but now I'm about 98% recovered 3 weeks post surgery. I ended up only paying ~$200 out of pocket 😭🙏

Anyways, the semester is almost over and I'm on track to get an A in my class. Its a business class and I'm currently writing a traditional business plan for a new business I'll be starting with money earned from escorting and side businesses/revenue (real estate and other investments) in the future. It's in the same industry as my vanilla job so I already have almost 10 years experience and a large network to my advantage. I'm anticipating needing around $6 million in start up costs. This will be self funded (by choice as I don't want to give away a percentage of the business). My goal is to open the first location in Spring 2028.

In other news, a recruiter contacted me about doing some consulting for various clients in my vanilla industry. It's essentially paid per hour so freelance. Hopefully I can generate some extra networking and income out of this :)

Last week I got to finally be a part of a corporate walk at my vanilla job and the VP seemed impressed by my knowledge and said I was a hard worker. I feel really unappreciated at my job so this was great to hear.

During my days off this week, I managed to rest and be productive equally. I decluttered some more...I'm preparing to rearrange my apartment to be incall ready. While cleaning, I found the only baby photo I have of myself 🥹 I've been searching for this photo for YEARS. So happy.

I also had maintenance replace a light on my patio. It's still been pretty warm out so I like to sit out there and do homework in the evenings.

I also decided that I want to definitely finish my degree back at Penn State...next semester will possibly be my last semester at community college...at least for finishing up the classes I can still transfer back to PSU. I wrote out the classes I will have to take there...29 credits. So 2 more semesters. After I get my B.S., I'd like to get an MBA at a different university. UPenn is a stretch but would be awesome 👍

oh wait other updates. nothing interesting or funny like the source port thing. but I saw Doom (2016) & Doom Eternal on sale for Switch so I got them, since I don't own a PC that can run either one or a console besides the Switch. I'm Doom anon again btw

also I bought the first 4 Doom games (Doom 1993, Doom II, Doom 64, Doom 3) on Steam on sale because I figure I might try mods or source ports, or maybe make my own levels. probably I'll just play them on Switch though, except maybe Doom 3, I might play it on PC

I still haven't actually played through Doom II all the way, or Doom 64, or Doom 3. actually I hadn't read about or played any Doom for like, a really long time I think. they updated the "official add-ons" system for the Unity shell Doom & Doom II ports though so now every add-on is downloadable in either game

the Quake remaster has a similar thing, with curated mods downloadable for consoles (because reasons, console manufacturers are not big fans of mods on consoles and they need to make sure mods available aren't doing a copyright violation), and that has the Quake 64 campaign downloadable

see, when they made Quake for Nintendo 64, it wasn't a straight port. it's a bit different, though the levels are more or less the same, so it's nice they included it, even if it's not substantially different in most ways. it had its own soundtrack too

here's how this relates to Doom: the same thing happened with Doom on the Atari Jaguar. a downgraded port of Doom was made, tweaking or cutting levels from PC, as well as adding 2 brand new levels (which used the same names as cut levels for some reason). that port was then the basis for other console ports, including PlayStation's Doom, which was actually Doom and Doom II

PlayStation Doom includes all the Jaguar levels, adjusted a bit for PlayStation and adding Doom II enemies on the Ultra-Violence difficulty, plus levels from the 4th episode of The Ultimate Doom, plus most of Doom II (no Icon of Sin though, sadly). all the levels are tweaked again from PC, though less than on Jaguar because it was a more powerful console than Jaguar. the most interesting part imo though is that it had 6 new levels in addition to the 2 from Jaguar, for a total of 8 console exclusive levels

now, what disappoints me with the Unity shell remasters is, there's no official add-on for the Jaguar or PlayStation levels (which on PlayStation also had its own unique soundtrack just like Quake 64 -- same devs, actually, and the same composer; same people all did Doom 64 after they ported Final Doom to PlayStation, which was actually a mishmash of levels from the 2 Final Doom campaigns and the Master Levels for Doom II). anyway I feel like if they can release Quake 64 in Quake, why not for Doom also? put PlayStation Doom and PlayStation Final Doom on there as add-ons. why not?

like. I get that the version of the engine used on PlayStation isn't identical, it had fancier lighting effects and other differences and it was on a console. but you could port the levels over easily enough. PlayStation has an exclusive enemy too but it's just a reskin so that's not a problem

it just bugs me that if you want to play those levels you gotta play the low-res PlayStation version with its terrible framerate, which I can't do on my Switch

1. I know its not huge but I got a ton of halloween candy on sale and my mom bought me a whole bag of olive garden breadsticks so Ive been stress eating those

2. I was able to get back into the groove of getting my homework done a few days early like I was doing at the beginning of the semester. The Mandalorian motivated me cause I knew that if I had any work on Friday I would not be able to concentrate. 

3. I’ve finally started writing!!!! I have had so many ideas and I finally got motivated enough to write them down. I posted my first fic (thank you so much for your comments by the way😭😭❤❤) and right now I’m working on this super big one that I am really proud of!! Its a bit late for spooky season but Im still going to post it when its finished. I have gone down such a rabbit hole with this idea that each chapter has turned into about 2000 words or more lol. Plus it has really started to improve my mental health from dealing with the world and my awful roommate lol. By writing, I have something that is completely under my control. Its nice.

HEEEEYYYY i am finally FREE from spring quarter EVERYONE CHEER !!! but then i am going to have summer classes starting from next monday so crying and laughing T^T so i hope you do not mind that i will talk about school rq

i just turned in my art final last thursday after i flew in to washington ... jfc i was going through it honestly ... the art final was like a "art history" final. i had to answer 43 questions for multiple choice, do 4 short answer prompts and then a whole essay like what is wrong with this professor ... mind you not, this class is an online, lower-division ge so like why am i putting my whole ass into this

also my ochem prof released grades for the class overall and let me tell you i seriously was gonna cry bc i was so scared if i was gonna pass the class or not ... but ... I GOT A C yk what i am fine with that bc i did horrible on two exams (below avg) and pretty decent on the other (above avg) ... but i feel disappointed that i have been getting Cs on my chem classes so far :( but i think i will be getting my first ever A in the bio class tho !!! which is like kinda bad but i am proud of myself at the same time :")

ok now ... we talk about exo and ateez hehehe (the most important stuff duh) honestly speaking ... took me like 3 listens to fully get bouncy, like i was ok with it on the first listen but yk what i mean? like you just need to listen to it more in order to fully get it ... i also really like this album, like i am so excited to be getting the albums in store when i go back to california YEAAHHH but my faves are dune, django and wake up !!! wbu bff ??? exo is making me CRY with let me in and the fact that they are gonna release ANOTHER mv is crazy like ... ik 2018-2021 me would be CRYING bc exo didn't release that much group stuff back then :(( but i am so happy that they are having a comeback like i need to prepare myself ... i just KNOW i will be SOBBING when i watch the last mv as their like "title track"
