Azh and Cullen for the longest time communicated in small gestures: getting one another a drink or some food after a long day, taking time to see each other in their respective places (the office, the library). Post DA:I they continued the tradition of checking in on the other, taking a break from the day to enjoy a drink or a meal together, maybe play a game of something before returning to whatever they were doing. Azh likes to get him flowers to keep in a vase on his desk or in their room. Cullen likes to cook for them both.

This may... differ from our usual letters a bit.

It’s been too long since I’ve heard your voice. I’d love to hear the stories you’d tell me as we walk the countryside once more, but I know we have our own paths to walk right now. Still, I miss you.

I thought I’d seen it all with Ferelden! I’m in Orlais right now. I’m lucky they speak the common tongue or I think I’d be more lost than Alistair was with that woman in the Blooming Rose. I haven’t had much luck so far, but I was able to gather some information for you. I attached it to this letter, I hope it’s still there when this reaches you. 

Val Royeaux was... beautiful. To a point. I forget, had you’d been there? It seems nice, very pretty, but I saw the Circle and the Alienage. It made me sad, and I hate to say I was happy to move on. 

I hope you’re safe where you are while reading this. I love you, my heart. I feel like a bowstring pulled taut without here you here at my side, and me at yours. Are you sure you don’t need any help?

Different indeed! But it’s not unwelcome. 

Trust me when I say I would prefer to be at your side. Falling asleep without you at my side is admittedly more difficult than I would like to admit. Soon, our paths will cross once more, and maybe we can act on those promises from a few letters ago, no? I miss your voice as well, my sweet, and long to be in each others’ arms. 

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself. Though not too much without me, I hope? Thank you for the reminder that our dear friend is still desperately in need of some lessons. Perhaps we could invite him next time we meet? And thank you for the scroll, I will look it over once I am done writing to you. 

I have been to the capital, and I wish I could say I have not seen what you have, but it is sadly not uncommon. I am saddened to hear that it is still so desolate, I am sorry, amor.

I am safe for now, as I hope you are, my light. I love you too, as passionately one can, and more. Please do not worry yourself. You have a job to do, as do I, as you said. Soon we will be reunited, but for now, I send my love.

Juniper and Thom start the day early each morning and end the night late. They like to wake up to take a stroll on the ramparts of Skyhold and then get breakfast, and then at night they like to cozy up next to the fire. They tell each other stories, carve (or rather Thom teaches June how to whittle), or simply sit in each others company.
