Cute Little Town Designed by Some Creative People Right Here on the Internet :3
Tumblr media
My shop is a bakery called “Heavenly Helpings” where I make the cutest cakes, and brownies, and macarons, and eclairs, and pies, and strudels, and everything always smells like freshly baked bread, frosting, and custard—and there’s an upstairs where I live above the bakery :)
At the top of that street is “Uncle Stubby’s Ammo, Liquor, and Tackle shop XD”
Next door, someone submitted “a bookstore called Good Buddy! A pet friendly store that you bring your pet (well trained of course) and where you can read the buy books of any genre! There is also a small coffee shop inside that sells both great drinks and treats for your pets!”
The shop below mine is, “A guinea pig cafe 🥰 tubes and little hideouts run a long the walls with a lower area where people can pick up, pet, and feed the guinea pigs. These guinea pigs are super friendly and love to get treats 12/7. The outside has windows so people can see some of the tubes inside. The back yard has a huge garden to provide all the vegetables and fruit for them. Up stairs is where the owner and his family live.”
And below that, “My shop would be a craft/coffee shop😋 Lots of windows and twinkly lights, and the shop’s colors would be sage green, coral pink, and cream! (Basically colorful but peaceful 😌) It would have all kinds of craft supplies (clay, paint, paper, and chargers for Apple Pencils), and the drinks served could be named after artists and famous paintings! I don’t have a lot of good ideas for a fun name, so I’ll go with Crafts n’ Coffee for now (but that can change)”
Finally, there’s the World’s Market, where you can buy all sorts of things from around the world!
On the other side of the street, we have a gas station for blimps called, “The Descent Diesel”
And below that, “NICKNACKS AND DOODADS!! An antique place where you can find nicknacks, doodads, and trinkets. Ranging from very very tiny things to very LARGE. Ancients, antiques, modern, magical, you name it! Items can be bought or traded. Run by a very organized cat :D bro is not very forgiving if you make the place crash and burn.”
And below that, “A little magical musical theatre. There is a legend that the theatre is haunted by the ghost of an opera singer who never finished her song in one play, so now she sings it every night when the theatre is empty. She's not scary at all though and some people say she helped them find their way back home on very foggy nights. By day, the theatre is a very warm place where everyone feels welcome. Outside it looks a bit like a miniature gothic castle, but its walls are covered with warm, happy posters. It's close to the river and the owner of the theatre is a great friend of the otters from the river that come to the theatre sometimes. There are a lot of flowers in the windows that are not covered with posters.”
Beneath that is the cinema! “I only ever have the good stuff playing in my theater, the bad stuff can premiere in some other theater. Concessions offers popcorn and candy and pizza and hamburgers and spaghetti-- Because why not? And I sell plushies of the movies currently playing. I do annual film festivals to showcase the creations of local movie makers, their film gets to play for a couple of weeks (*and of course they recieve the profits from the ticket sales*).”
Ending with a VHS store :)

How Stock Market Trading Becomes Easier with Practice: A Focus on Selling Options
Stock market trading often seems daunting to newcomers, with its complex charts, unpredictable movements, and a plethora of strategies. However, with consistent practice and the right approach, trading can become a much more manageable and even profitable venture. One effective strategy that simplifies the trading process is selling options.
Understanding Options Trading
Options are financial instruments that give the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset at a predetermined price before or at the expiry date. While buying options can be risky, selling options offers a more controlled and potentially profitable approach.
Why Selling Options is Beneficial
Income Generation: Selling options, especially covered calls and cash-secured puts, can generate consistent income. By selling these options, traders earn a premium, providing an immediate return on investment.
Lower Risk: Selling options can be less risky compared to buying them. With strategies like covered calls, the trader owns the underlying stock, which provides a cushion against adverse price movements.
Flexibility: Selling options offers flexibility in terms of strategy. Traders can use various techniques such as covered calls, cash-secured puts, and iron condors to adapt to different market conditions.
Improved Probability of Profit: When you sell options, especially out-of-the-money options, the probability of the options expiring worthless (which is beneficial for the seller) is higher. This increases the chance of earning a profit.
Practicing Options Selling
Just like any other skill, mastering options trading requires practice. Here are some steps to get started:
Education: Begin with a solid understanding of options trading. Numerous resources, courses, and tutorials are available online to help you grasp the basics and advanced concepts.
Paper Trading: Before risking real money, practice with paper trading. This allows you to test strategies in a simulated environment without any financial risk.
Start Small: When transitioning to live trading, start with small positions. This minimizes risk while allowing you to gain practical experience.
Track Your Performance: Maintain a trading journal to track your trades, strategies, and outcomes. Analyzing your performance helps in refining your approach and identifying what works best for you.

In yet another self-sabotaging attempt to not watch Gundam Narrative/Gundam Ibo Urdr Hunt (honestly why do I do this to myself), I have started watching the original Gundam 0079.
(I literally went right over Narrative on the shelf, too).
Until now, I’ve basically done everything except watch the original - I got some very good cliff notes, I read the Origin Manga, I watched the Compilation Movies. But I never actually watched the show.
I’ve only watched the first three-ish episodes so far, so this’ll be a first impressions kinda deal. For reference, I’m watching the Dubbed Blu-Ray Collection (which is where that art above is from). I did try the subtitles, but I find they take up a lot of the screen, and the Japanese Audio quality isn’t fantastic.
Right, enough preamble, how is it?
In brief, dated as all hell.
Obviously, it’s dated as all hell. It was laid down and made in late-70s Japan, a far different environment than contemporary Japan. The Animation’s old and it’s incredibly clear that they were working on a budget with all the still frames. But even from the perspective of someone who came in through the wider Gundam series it’s very odd.
Like, the opening score is some stirring, heroic music about how the Gundam will fight back all its enemies, and how you must fight. Likely meant to juxtapose how war is presented in media versus what the shows actually about - the horrors implicit within war. But it’s still something of a tonal whiplash. And then the closing song is all about Amuro becoming a man, so it still reads a little off.
It’s interesting to note the great variety in characters though - a detail that I’d never seen in any of the adaptations is that Char essentially has a panic attack when he first fights the Gundam, simply because it swats his wingmate down so easily, and he truly realises how powerful it is. A lot of Bright’s early characterisation sells that he really doesn’t know what he’s doing, and Dozle (who they gave a really posh voice, by the way) mentions that Zeon’s also running low on supplies, selling that neither side’s doing so hot in the war.
Another nice detail is that when Amuro steps inside the Gundam, it doesn’t actually help the situation that much - yeah he takes out two Zaku’s, but this directly leads to him damaging Side 7, and injuring his father and the other engineers - the Gundam is a destructive saviour at best. It feels very different from the classic super robot vibes (though that may be speaking to my own unfamiliarity with the genre).
I don’t really have a concluding statement here, it’s just odd coming in from all the other shows and seeing how….. not unrefined…. How broad the series is. I can tell without checking that there’s a host of influences from *somewhere*, but I’m not knowledgeable enough about the genre to pinpoint anything.
(Also I love how catty the Zeon Commanders are. Gadem trading barbs with Char is just delightful, and I’m looking forward to seeing Conscon, since I find his design just sublime).

Things Tycho needs to implement for the mod apps:
Please hire fucking adults. Not 19 year olds, please hire some people that are over 21 and have more developed brains. Preferably 25 and up.
Heavily restrict the ability to make mod customs. I know that a LOT of people only want to be staff to be able to make customs, and this isn't a good thing to be able to do right off the bat since Tycho needs mods who want to work, not make money making designs. I think mod customs should not be allowed for at least 6 months AFTER mod trial is over. Work on the species, that's what you were hired to do, not make customs. If you want to make and sell designs, apply to be a GA, not staff.
Mod myos. There's too many mod lim myos floating around and these should not be tradeable. If mods get myos as payment every month, they should get two options. Lim myo, not tradeable. Modified myo, tradeable. They get to choose just one.
Also I think Tycho needs to go through the shambling remains of the staff and get rid of loose ends, like Kea. Kea does absolutely fucking nothing for the species except occasionally vote on staff matters and do transfers, which literally any other staff member can do. All she does is ignore trade offers for her obvious trades that totally aren't entertaining offers, which aren't even allowed btw, and she'll talk about opening up customs to get people to throw themselves at her for her art. She needs to be removed as a staff member and made a GA, since that's what she's best at. Plus she's just conveniently taking a break and ignoring all the work that needs to be done and making Tycho and the other few mods do everything themselves. If Kea can't be a functioning staff member in this moment when we really need them, why do we need her at all? Karma, too. Why are you guys taking a break and making everyone else do all the hard work so you can just come back when it's all over and reap the benefits? You guys suck. Either step up and do your job or quit.
i agree with everything you said here anon
on your first point, it def goes back to the maturity thing for me because, while previous mods and the owners are “adults,” 18 and 19 is still pretty immature (and you can really tell based off of the controversies that have happened just within a year)
on the second, i really think terras should make more use of the “official artist” role. i agree that a lot of mods seem to just sit on their ass and make customs/adopts, which, if you want to just do art then say that!! dont present it like youre gonna actually moderate if ur just pumping out adopts, thats why theres the official artist role
for the third point, i actually think tycho does have plans to mitigate the myo situation (you can see that in the conversation i had with him here), so i think theres gonna be some progress there
on your last point, i agree as well; i think kea especially is one of the people who would benefit from being an official artist instead. she has the admin role but ive literally never seen her be an administrator of anything. doing approvals is something that really anyone can do, and the main thing ive ever seen from kea is customs and adopts. i dont think ive really ever seen her answer questions or design help, and as far as events go the only one shes been visibly a part of is the birthday one that just happened (and honestly if i didnt just go and check right now i would have totally forgotten shes an ADMIN, not just a regular mod)
i think delegation of staff and staff responsibilities is a big thing that needs fixing, since its been an issue basically forever in this species. design and prompts take forever to approve, but when its ever suggested to get more mods it was always “we have enough!” yeah, you have an overabundance of mods that just wanna make fucking adopts and nothing else. just make them official artists and have the mod role for people that can actually work.

Most of Mordred's restoration effort was focused in Ala Mhigo because it was closer to home and he had greater/more long-time sympathy for its people, but eventually, per Hien's request and because his roots were in Doma, he did spend a few months there.
This was when he worked on rebuilding the Doman Enclave, and actually went to tear down those ugly spires on the giant river gates.
He stripped them for parts and circuitry to make minions and other toys and sold them in Kugane lol. Apparently some angry Garlean at their embassy bought all of them up, probably to destroy them, but what did it matter? Mordred got the $$$ anyway.
He also pushed Hien to trade more robustly with various factions around Yanxia that had helped them in the past. When Hien pointed out that Doma had neither the resources nor the manpower to produce anything at scale right now, Mordred said, "Don't underestimate the power of a steady supply of food. Engage Namai in getting ready-to-eat rice and dried persimmons, then sell to the Confederate and Soroban's people. I'll design ship-worthy kitchens to be sold to them if you want, but I'm sure they already have the means to cook basic foods on board. Trade fosters relations and friendship, as well as codependency. Garlemald is but one of many invaders in the hopefully very long future of this land, and having strong ties to everyone around you will make you more prepared to face future enemies."
So per Mordred's advice, Hien had new rice fields and new orchards planted. Mordred used white magic to accelerate their growth, went with Hien to talk to the Xaelas at Reunion and the Confederate, and even went so far as to enlist Cid in repurposing the remaining salvaged Garlean machinery to make farming tools and machines.
Then he said, "My work here is done ✌️" and disappeared for 8 months. Aside from his on-the-dot Moogle letters to his dad.
Hien:🧍🏽‍♀️I hope he doesn't hate us or something. Despite being Doman, he only ever comes here on explicit request and on Heavensturn.
Merchant: Don't worry about it sir. He actually comes by quite regularly to drop off his adventuring spoils at our donation box and buy smoked oysters by the bucket. You just never chanced to see him.

Have a horrible horse of your very own!
I’m about to list all these plant themed pony adopts onto my FA account here, but to any folks who might want to stake their claim first I’m giving you a heads up, you special people you. If you don’t have FA but are interested then you can message me on Tumblr.
I’m new to the whole adopts thing, so bare with me. You can click the read more if you’re interested in how to claim one and their guidelines.
How To Claim Your Adopt: Send me a DM with the name of the adopt you wish to purchase along with your e-mail for me to direct a PayPal invoice to. After the invoice has been paid I will send you a high res .png file of your adopt without the price tag, name (unless you want that kept in), or any watermarks.
Rules Of the Adopt: Once the design is yours you can change and alter minor bits of it to your liking, but you cannot make edits to the original design artwork or take claim of the design as your own. Any changes you make can be reflected in new pieces of art. Basically, you are free to make alterations to the adopt (change the type of pony, gender, give them glasses, tweak the eye color, change their name, remove a limb, etc.), but you cannot claim original creation of the character design or redesign it so severely it’s no longer recognizable from its source (unless you never intend to sell or trade, in which case you are honestly free to go ham with the design changes).
Reselling and Trading: If you’ve altered the adopt’s design you can decide whether or not to include those alterations in the sale/trade, but after you’ve passed the adopt along you lose rights to both versions. You cannot keep an altered version of the adopt and claim it as your own design after somebody else is now in possession of the unaltered design. Basically, you can’t loophole your way into keeping the design while simultaneously selling it. You can resell the character for no more than the same price you purchased it at, but if you have additional pieces of art to include in the sale you may raise the price to reflect that accordingly.
All sales are final. Design cannot be for commercial use.
Don’t feed them after midnight.

@73ghosts ya this is what i was going on abt, you're totally right!
the internet and the younger generations have just completely bastardized the concept of cultural appropriation. i believe it was originally developed in north america, and it was meant to critique the way in which dominant white culture would take elements from opressed cultures, without credit, claim them for themselves, and benefit off of them while still shaming said opressed culture.
ie black women were being shamed for their hairstyles which were seen as unprofessional/dirty/weird/etc and have historically been banned by white americans as a way to dehumanize africans and rupture them from an important and even spiritual part of their african heritige, but when white models would do it for modeling agencies it was cool and trendy all the sudden and they'd make money off of it. in general white dominated media&companies talking black culture and claiming it for themselves with 0 credit and making millions. another well known one, native american hollowen costumes, which turn someones sacred culture that they faught to keep alive into a stereotyped costume. another example closer to home which still makes sense would be big western clothing agencies very clearly taking designs from romanian folk clothes, and with 0 credit remaking them, branding them as african clothing, and selling them for hundreds - while much poorer peasants who make them and romanians in general get 0 credit or benefit or exposure, and while also managing to appropriate/use the "exotic" perception of africans at the same time as well
this makes sense. in a system of racial supremecy, in a country known for an incredibly ridgid racial hierarchy and harsh history, it totally makes sense as a critique and it is an important one. cultural appropriation was about taking someones culture in this hierarchy, using it to your own benefit with 0/little to no credit, while still hating said culture
this. is different from normal day to day cultural exhange. this is different from people willingly sharing their culture with others, as well as the very natural blend of cultures, ideas, customs, etc which happen when people live together for prolonged periods of time - something seen everywhere, absolutely everywhere in the old world and the indigenous americas, and frankly in the current western world as well. this is also different from cultural appreciation, a concept which seems to no longer exist frankly. its funny frankly how many times western people will be getting pissed off that someone buys clothes from another culture and wears them bc they genuinely like them, without claiming it for themselves, while people from said culture who still live in said country will say "actually we think its cool people like our clothes/things so much they want to wear them :) and its cool that theyre exposing others to our culture bc they think its beautiful :) stop being offended"
cultures are fluid, as you said. there is no such thing as pure culture, Very few things belong in actuality to one completely separate culture and group, and it is very, very normal and basically unavoidable that humans exhange culture with each other. its normal that people get influenced by the people they live around, their friends, the country they may migrate too, that trade brings parts of cultures to other places. its literally the most normal thing and weve been doing it for forever
the current-day understanding of cultural appropriation has just been bastardized to such an extent that its no longer about critiquing what it actually was, its no longer an important point of analysis and self awareness, its been taken to a ridiculous degree of performative wokeness and endless western offense about everything on this planet. the idea that Ever in Any context in Any way blending or exhanging or etc cultures is cultural appropriation, means we should twitter cancel all of humankind on this planet, for all of history in actuality. its unrealistic and useless and stupid frankly
and yea, the food thing is ridiculous. or "listening to music from other cultures is appropriation" or ive talked abt this on here before, me bringing my american ex to romania, willingly sharing my culture with her, and being asked several times by her if shes not actually appropriating my culture and its not okay,,,, like,, girl..... idk another common example someone having a cultural wedding, Asking the guests of all ethnicites to dress a certain way and participate, and the internet losing its mind. or americans seeing ppl wear/do their OWN cultuture but bc theyre so closed minded and dont know shit they get offended at them bc they think their appropriating some other culture who soley has ownership i guess (the evil eye charm thing is like, an actual common point of offense, and its so stupid bc like half the planet has had it for like hundreds of years. ive seen balkan ppl latin ppl arab ppl and others all complain abt getting this by now usually from some white american lmao rip)
we are living in an increasingly multicultural world. the last possible thing we should be doing, as far as im concerned, is all closing ourselves off from each other, never sharing anything, never exposing ourselves to anything else, and pretending we all exist in neat little separate groups with no relation to each other whatsoever. getting offended over every possible similarity but prepetually disecting all the ways were different. this..,,,, helps absolutely noone as far as i can see

Two asks for now if you don’t mind:
Which OC that you currently still draw is the oldest, as in when you created them?
What’s some lore about Soul Rune Cier that hasn’t been mentioned on world anvil yet?
Lol good call on "that I currently still draw", because Luchrokt was made in 2015, but Chris was made in 2009 [albeit I don't draw him anymore].
As for SRC lore... hmm. The Cierian Trading Card Game [CTCG] is something I made a while back and gets mentioned in passing, even had its own detailed ruleset and several cards I made for that purpose back in 2020.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I realized about midway through it that the CTCG would be better off as a simple video game than an actual card game due to how the stats are calculated.
The Cierian Trading Card Game is a massive-scale card game spanning thousands upon thousands of people, characters, creatures, and objects found throughout Cier. Popular duelists, RHGs, actors, heroes… etc. Chances are if you're well known at least somewhere, either famously or infamously, you have a card. They're created by the company Fangdemon, which produces other similar merch such as shirts and posters- most famously their card game, though. Fangdemon pays royalties to every living person they make and sell cards of, either through direct donations into bank accounts or couriers designated to provide a selling service. The card game is designed to be simple[lol], with basic stats and attacks for every card.
There are the STAT POINTS - Health - Physical damage you can take. Once this stat reaches 0 your card is knocked out for the rest of the game. Attack - How much damage you deal with a standard attack. Dice rolls determine the range of your damage dealt. Defense - How much you can resist damage, represented as a percentage. 200% will reduce damage taken by half. [High-rolled turns can bypass Defense stat entirely] Speed - Determines which card will move first in a round. Spirit - Ability to resist SPIRIT damage. If this stat reaches 0, your card's DEFENSE will drop every turn.
There are the CHARACTER CLASSES - Attack - Based around attacking and dealing damage. Has high attacking stats. Defense - Based around defense and taking hits for other characters. Status - Based around inflicting ailments and buffs/debuffs to other characters.
There are the ATTACK TYPES - The left ATTACK on the front side of your card is your active. This deals a fixed amount of damage and may or may not have a bonus effect latched onto it [such as a defense boost or debuff]. The right ATTACK on the front side of your card is your passive. Upon certain conditions being met, it will be activated and will either deal damage or add an effect to your/your opponent's card[s].
There are the ARCANE TYPES - The type of ARCANE on your cards is based on the COLOR OF THE HIGHLIGHT AROUND YOUR CARD'S TEXT. BASIC - White highlight. Does nothing. FIRE - Orange highlight. Has a 20% chance of inflicting the BURN condition which deals a token of damage every turn. WATER - Blue highlight. Extinguishes the BURN condition. LIFE - Green highlight. Has a 5% chance of healing a token of damage upon casting an attack. EARTH - Beige highlight. Has a chance of naturally hitting multiple enemies. DARK - Black highlight with white text. Has a 20% chance of inflicting DARK TAINT which deals a token of SPIRIT damage every turn. LIGHT - Yellow highlight. Has a 20% chance of healing DARK-inflicted statuses on user/ally. MECHA - Silver highlight. Has a 10% chance of increasing the user's DEFENSE. TOXICA - Purple highlight. Has a 20% chance of inflicting the POISON condition which deals a token of damage every turn.

Hair Texture
Growing up as a kid, I always had problems combing my hair. I broke every comb because my hair was always nappy. I grew up simple wish I had straight hair where I didn't have to break a comb. I would be a billionaire if I had a dollar from every comb I broke. Hair has always been important to me. I love my hair. I love every inch of my black hair, but I hated doing it. My hair was always dry. When I was a little girl, I would cry, kick and scream because my hair was tender. My mother always told me it was a part of me growing up. My hair was different. I learned that African Americans' hair tends to be dry, causes issues when combing hair, and is prone to breakage. My hair also struggled with tangles and knots, which was the wrong feeling ever when combing my nappy hair because it was naturally curly. Natural hair oils have difficulty going through my hair because of its texture. That's why to stay strong and healthy. Using a different type of comb on my hair helped my problems. With my hair, I had to use an Afro Comb "Pick." It helped me a lot through my years of dealing with my hair. I always use a Pick or a big thick comb.

History Of Combs
Combs has played an important role in American history, particularly in the lives of Indigenous peoples and African Americans.
Indigenous peoples of North America have used combs made of bone, antler, and other materials for thousands of years to style their hair, remove lice and other pests, and create decorative designs. Combs were also used in religious ceremonies and as symbols of social status.
During the era of slavery, combs took on additional significance for African Americans. Enslaved people were often denied access to grooming tools, including combs, and were forced to use crude instruments or their fingers to style their hair. This lack of access to basic grooming tools was not only a physical hardship but also a symbolic one, as it was seen as an attempt to control the enslaved population.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, African American entrepreneurs began producing and selling specialized hair care products, including combs designed specifically for the unique texture of African American hair. One of the most famous of these entrepreneurs was Madam C.J. Walker, who became one of the wealthiest women in America by developing and marketing a line of hair care products, including combs, aimed at African American women.
Combs also played a role in the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s. During the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955, African American women who refused to ride segregated buses used combs to pick out their hair to make a statement against the racist beauty standards that had long dictated how African American women should look.
Today, combs remain an important tool for styling and grooming hair in America and an important symbol of identity and cultural heritage for many communities.

What is an Afro Comb? What's the history?
The use of combs for grooming hair has been documented in various cultures worldwide since ancient times. However, the specific design of the afro comb can be traced back to West Africa, where combs made from materials such as wood, bone, and ivory have been for centuries. These combs often featured intricate carvings and designs that reflected the cultural and spiritual values of those who used them.
During the transatlantic slave trade, millions of Africans were forcibly taken from their homes and brought to the Americas, where they were forced to work on plantations and other industries. Their cultural practices and traditions were suppressed and erased as part of this process, including their use of traditional combs. However, enslaved Africans in the Americas adapted their grooming practices to suit their new environment and the texture of their hair, which generations of intermixing had altered.
In the mid-20th century, during the height of the civil rights movement in the United States, afro combs became a symbol of Black pride and identity. The "afro" hairstyle, which featured voluminous curls often styled using a pick comb, was popularized by Black activists and musicians such as Angela Davis, Jimi Hendrix, and the members of the Black Panther Party. Afro combs also became a popular accessory and were often worn as a statement piece, with many featuring slogans or designs that reflected Black cultural and political values.
Today, afro combs are an important part of Black hair care and culture, with many designers and artists creating modern versions of the traditional comb. While the use of afro combs has evolved, their significance as a symbol of cultural identity and resistance remains an important part of their history.

This fast-paced trading style offers the opportunity to capture the short term market actions  but at the same time it also requires a deep understanding of the market, effective strategies, and strong discipline. If you’re a beginner, this guide will provide you with the essentials to get started on the right path.
What is Intraday Trading?
Intraday trading offers an opportunity to buy and sell financial instruments such as stocks, commodities, currencies, and derivatives within the same trading day. Unlike long-term investing, where you hold assets for months or years, intraday trading requires you to close all positions before the market closes. This fast-paced approach is often seen as ideal for traders who want to profit from daily price movements.
One of the perks of intraday trading is the leverage provided by brokers. For example, brokers can offer up to 5X leverage on certain securities, which means you can trade with more money than you have in your account. However, if you’re using this leverage, all your positions will be squared off 15-20 minutes before the market closes to avoid potential risks.
Nowadays, many platforms provide an order type known as MIS/Intraday (Margin Intraday Square Off), which automatically activates the 5X funds by default. This feature makes it easier for traders to engage in intraday trades without manually adjusting their leverage.
To keep it simple, as a beginner, always remember that if you’re buying and selling on the same day, regardless of the order type, your transaction is considered an intraday trade. Choosing the best stocks for intraday trading often depends on liquidity and volatility. Stocks with high trading volume and daily price movements are usually more favorable for intraday traders.
Getting Started with Stock Market Learning through Intraday Trading:
Tumblr media
If you are a beginner, there’s a lot to learn about the stock market, including basic market terminology, software/platforms provided by brokers, order types and their executions, and the fundamentals of chart reading.
Your first objective should be to understand these market basics before diving into trading or investing. This is where intraday trading can be particularly beneficial. It allows you to practice in real-time while reinforcing your understanding of market dynamics.
Now, you might wonder: how risky is intraday trading? It can indeed be risky, especially since you will be using leverage money. As a beginner, it’s crucial to know not just how to buy and sell, but when to make those trades. You should also consider what your risk and reward should be and why you are entering a trade in the first place.
To navigate this effectively, keep the intraday trading rules in mind: focus on understanding market functioning rather than letting fear or greed guide your decisions. By maintaining this mindset, you can maximize the benefits of intraday trading as a beginner.
Start with a learning approach and trade with nominal funds. This strategy will help you grasp market functioning while also limiting your risk exposure.
Understanding Order Types in Intraday Trading:
Market Orders vs. Limit Orders:
Market Orders: These are executed instantly at the current market price, making them ideal for quick trades. However, keep in mind that you may not receive the exact price you intended.
Limit Orders: These allow you to set a specific price at which you want to buy or sell. They offer greater control over your trades but may not be executed if the market doesn’t reach your specified price.
Stop-Loss and Take-Profit Orders:
Stop-Loss Orders: These orders automatically sell your asset when its price falls to a predetermined level, helping to limit your losses.
Take-Profit Orders: These are designed to sell your asset when it hits a certain price, allowing you to lock in profits.
In the context of intraday trading, understanding these order types is essential for managing risk and optimizing your trades, especially when targeting the best stocks for intraday trading.

Building a High-Efficiency Grid Trading Bot: Key Development Tips
Tumblr media
The cryptocurrency market's volatility makes it an ideal environment for automated trading strategies. Grid trading bots, in particular, are effective at capitalizing on price swings within a specific range. However, developing a high-efficiency grid trading bot requires more than just basic coding skills; it demands meticulous planning, extensive testing, and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
In this blog, we'll cover essential tips for building a successful grid trading bot.
Understanding Grid Trading Bot Development
Before diving into the technical aspects, it’s essential to grasp the fundamentals of grid trading bot development. A grid trading bot operates by placing buy and sell orders at predefined intervals within a specified price range, creating a grid of orders. The bot profits by buying low and selling high, capitalizing on market movements within this range. This strategy is particularly effective in markets that experience frequent price swings without trending strongly in one direction.
1. Identifying Suitable Market Conditions
The effectiveness of a grid trading bot largely depends on the market conditions in which it operates. Grid trading is most successful in sideways or moderately volatile markets, where prices oscillate within a certain range. To maximize your bot’s efficiency, it’s crucial to develop algorithms that can identify these market conditions and adapt the bot's strategy accordingly. By recognizing when a market is likely to stay within a specific range, your bot can avoid unfavorable trends and focus on profitable opportunities.
2. Optimizing Grid Parameters
A crucial element in grid trading bot development is determining the optimal grid parameters, such as the price range, grid levels, and trade size. These settings need to be carefully adjusted to strike a balance between risk and reward. For example, if the price range is set too wide, it may diminish potential profits, while a range that's too narrow could lead to frequent trades with minimal gains. Likewise, the spacing between grid levels should be chosen with care to ensure the bot captures sufficient price movements without triggering excessive trades. Incorporating dynamic adjustment capabilities that enable the bot to modify these parameters in response to market shifts can significantly boost its performance.
3. Incorporating Advanced Risk Management
Effective risk management is essential for the success of any trading bot. In grid trading bot development, this involves implementing features like stop-loss orders, take-profit levels, and capital allocation strategies. Stop-loss orders help prevent significant losses in case of a market trend that moves against your bot's strategy, while take-profit levels ensure that profits are secured at the right time. Additionally, capital allocation strategies should be designed to prevent overexposure to any single trade or market, ensuring that the bot can survive periods of market downturns.
4. Conducting Comprehensive Backtesting
Before deploying your grid trading bot in a live trading environment, it’s vital to conduct extensive backtesting. This process involves running your bot's algorithms against historical market data to evaluate its performance in various scenarios. Backtesting helps you identify potential weaknesses in your strategy and provides an opportunity to optimize your bot's settings. By simulating real-world conditions, you can gain insights into how your bot would perform in the past and make necessary adjustments to improve its future performance.
5. Leveraging Machine Learning for Enhanced Adaptability
Incorporating machine learning (ML) into your grid trading bot can greatly enhance its ability to adapt to shifting market conditions. ML algorithms can process vast amounts of data, identify patterns, and adjust the bot's strategy in real-time. For instance, a bot powered by ML can learn from historical trades to forecast future price movements and fine-tune grid parameters accordingly. This kind of adaptability ensures that your bot remains competitive in the fast-moving and unpredictable cryptocurrency market.
6. Ensuring Reliability and Continuous Operation
For a grid trading bot to be effective, it must operate continuously without interruptions. To achieve this, focus on building a robust and reliable system architecture. Consider using cloud-based servers or Virtual Private Servers (VPS) to ensure that your bot remains online 24/7. Additionally, implementing monitoring tools that provide real-time alerts can help you quickly identify and address any issues that arise, minimizing downtime and ensuring that your bot can capitalize on every market opportunity.
7. Ongoing Monitoring and Iteration
Once your grid trading bot is up and running, the development process is far from over. Ongoing monitoring and refinement are essential for maintaining and enhancing your bot's performance. Regularly review the trading results, assess what works and what doesn’t, and use this information to fine-tune the bot's algorithms. By remaining proactive and making continuous improvements, you can ensure that your bot consistently performs well over time.
Conclusion
Creating a high-efficiency grid trading bot is a challenging but rewarding endeavor that requires a deep grasp of market dynamics and algorithmic trading principles. By focusing on key areas such as identifying favorable market conditions, fine-tuning grid parameters, implementing robust risk management, and utilizing machine learning, you can build a grid trading bot that performs well across various market scenarios. Success in grid trading bot development hinges on ongoing improvement and adaptability to the constantly evolving market. With the right strategy, your grid trading bot can become an effective tool for achieving long-term profitability in the cryptocurrency market.

Start a Cryptocurrency Exchange: From Novice to Pro in Cryptocurrency Exchange Trading
Tumblr media
The world of cryptocurrency has exploded over the last decade, transforming from a niche interest into a global phenomenon. As digital currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum have gained traction, the demand for cryptocurrency exchanges has surged. For those looking to start a cryptocurrency exchange in the US or start a cryptocurrency exchange in the UK, understanding the intricacies of cryptocurrency trading is crucial. This article takes you from novice to pro, offering insights into mastering cryptocurrency exchange trading and highlighting the potential of launching your own platform with the help of companies like Shamlatech.
The Basics of Cryptocurrency Exchange Trading
What is a Cryptocurrency Exchange?
A cryptocurrency exchange is an online platform where users can buy, sell, and trade digital currencies. These exchanges serve as intermediaries between buyers and sellers, allowing for the exchange of cryptocurrencies in a secure and efficient manner. There are two primary types of cryptocurrency exchanges: centralized and decentralized.
Centralized Exchanges (CEX): Operated by a central authority, these exchanges offer high liquidity and a wide range of trading pairs. They are user-friendly but require users to trust the exchange with their funds.
Decentralized Exchanges (DEX): Operated on a blockchain without a central authority, DEXs offer greater privacy and control over funds. However, they often have lower liquidity and can be more complex to use.
Key Components of a Cryptocurrency Exchange
To successfully start a cryptocurrency exchange, whether in the US or the UK, it's important to understand the key components that make up a trading platform:
Trading Engine: The core of any exchange, the trading engine matches buy and sell orders and executes trades. It ensures the platform operates efficiently and accurately.
User Interface (UI): The UI is what users interact with when they trade on the exchange. A well-designed UI should be intuitive and easy to navigate, even for beginners.
Wallet Integration: Cryptocurrency exchanges need to integrate secure wallets to store users' digital assets. This can include hot wallets (online) and cold wallets (offline) for enhanced security.
Liquidity Management: Liquidity is essential for an exchange's success. It ensures that there are enough buyers and sellers on the platform to facilitate trades without significant price slippage.
Security Measures: Security is paramount in the cryptocurrency world. Implementing measures like two-factor authentication (2FA), encryption, and regular security audits are critical to protect users' funds and data.
Regulatory Compliance: Depending on the location, exchanges must adhere to local regulations. For instance, to start a cryptocurrency exchange in the US, one must comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and register with FinCEN. In the UK, exchanges must register with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Getting Started: How to Begin Trading on a Cryptocurrency Exchange
Choosing the Right Exchange
Before diving into trading, selecting the right exchange is crucial. For beginners, it's advisable to start with a centralized exchange due to its user-friendly interface and support. Popular exchanges include Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken, each offering a wide range of cryptocurrencies and trading tools.
Setting Up an Account
Registration: Sign up by providing your email address, creating a password, and agreeing to the terms of service.
Verification: Most exchanges require identity verification to comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations. This process typically involves submitting a government-issued ID and proof of address.
Depositing Funds: After verification, you can deposit funds into your account. This can be done via bank transfer, credit card, or by depositing cryptocurrencies from another wallet.
Understanding Trading Pairs
Cryptocurrencies are traded in pairs, representing the value of one cryptocurrency relative to another. For example, the BTC/USD pair shows how much Bitcoin is worth in US dollars. Understanding trading pairs is essential for making informed trading decisions.
Placing Orders
There are several types of orders you can place on a cryptocurrency exchange:
Market Orders: Buy or sell immediately at the current market price.
Limit Orders: Set a specific price at which you want to buy or sell. The order will only be executed if the market reaches that price.
Stop-Loss Orders: Set a price at which your position will be automatically sold to limit potential losses.
Advanced Trading Strategies: Moving from Novice to Pro
Technical Analysis
Technical analysis involves studying price charts and using various indicators to predict future price movements. Common indicators include Moving Averages (MA), Relative Strength Index (RSI), and Bollinger Bands. Mastering technical analysis is crucial for making profitable trades.
Fundamental Analysis
Fundamental analysis focuses on the underlying factors that affect a cryptocurrency's value, such as technology, market demand, and regulatory news. By staying informed about the latest developments, traders can make more educated decisions.
Risk Management
Effective risk management is key to long-term success in cryptocurrency trading. This includes setting stop-loss orders, diversifying your portfolio, and not investing more than you can afford to lose. Pro traders often use the 1% rule, which limits each trade to 1% of their total capital.
Using Bots and Automation
For those looking to streamline their trading process, automated trading bots can be a valuable tool. These bots execute trades based on pre-set parameters, allowing for 24/7 trading without manual intervention. However, it's important to thoroughly test and monitor bots to avoid unexpected losses.
The Next Step: Starting Your Own Cryptocurrency Exchange

Crypto Investing: HODL or Fold? A Beginner's Guide
Tumblr media
So, you want to dive into the world of crypto? Well, buckle up, buttercup, because you're about to embark on one wild ride. Think of cryptocurrencies as the digital gold rush of the 21st century. But unlike panning for gold in a river, here, you're panning for digital assets on the internet.
What the Heck is Crypto, Anyway?
Cryptocurrency is basically digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. It's like having your own digital piggy bank, except instead of coins, you have these fancy little codes that represent value. And just like regular money, you can use it to buy stuff – from pizza to Lamborghinis.
Now, you'll need a place to store your crypto. That's where wallets come in. Think of them as your digital purses. And to buy or sell crypto, you'll need to use a cryptocurrency exchange, which is basically a marketplace for digital currencies.
Why Should I Care About Crypto?
Great question! Well, for starters, crypto offers the potential for high returns. Remember that time Bitcoin went from being worth a few cents to thousands of dollars? Yeah, that's the kind of potential we're talking about. Plus, crypto is decentralized, which means it's not controlled by any government or financial institution. Some people see this as a way to break free from traditional banking systems.
So, How Do I Invest in Crypto?
There are a few popular strategies:
HODL: That's not a typo. "HODL" is internet slang for "hold on for dear life." It's a long-term strategy where you buy and hold onto your crypto, regardless of what the market does.
DCA: Dollar-Cost Averaging is a strategy where you invest a fixed amount of money in crypto at regular intervals, regardless of the price. This helps to smooth out the impact of market volatility.
Short-term trading: If you're feeling adventurous, you could try your hand at short-term trading. This involves buying and selling crypto frequently to profit from short-term price movements. But beware, it's risky!
Long-term investing: This is a more conservative approach, where you invest in promising projects and hold onto them for the long haul.
Which Strategy is Right for Me?
The best strategy for you depends on your financial goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. If you're looking for quick gains, short-term trading might be tempting. But if you're more interested in building long-term wealth, HODLing or DCA might be a better fit.

Dude, I remember someone making a suggestion to make bundle trades illegal and the suggestion got declined at first but later when through right after when someone tried offering a bundle lol
(context for what a bundle is: it when someone sells multiple ocs but uses a cs design/myo as an “addon”, it’s usually used to upsell CS stuff when it’s not allowed)
UGH I REMEMBER THAT, gave me a pretty good giggle though because staff response was basically “its not really our problem if someone gets scammed 🤗” and then the next week someone does exactly the thing they didnt wanna make a rule against. never seen them swoop in so fast to change a rule and it still pisses me off
