honestly, i'd rather have lando (and the other drivers who get so much unnecessary hate) to just go off the grid when its not race weekends, and give us absolutely nothing about their personal lives, than have people or "fans" film them every second theyre out of the house and call every move they make as a pr stunt or whatever.

Drew a bunch of Marinettes in a bunch of different artists styles it was a lot of fun!!
Artists who's styles I mimicked: @buggachat @hamsternamedmarinette @ladybeug @sabertoothwalrus and @anna-scribbles all epic artists 🤟😎
#my art#marinette dupain cheng#miraculous ladybug#miraculous fanart#style mimic#sorry for the @s btw#yall should go follow those artists if you dont already also#this was sort of inspired by a post the three artists on the top row made#i think they all got together and drew with one another#which is really cool#but i was genuinely confused because i mimic styles a lot#and ive seen others do it too so i was just like#wow they really know each others styles really well#until i thought about it and read their posts some more#style mimicking is really freaking fun and i think its really good practice#and a good way to explore other ways of doing things#like you really have to learn new techniques and get out of your comfort zone#also anna scribbles i could not find a recent pic of marinette in her main outfit#so thats the only marinette i drew in different clothes cuz i couldnt find a more recent ref of you drawing it#anna scribble marinette has privileges thats the others dont#but ye#i also threw my own style in there as a frame of reference to what me draw like#ive drawn marinette before just not in a loooong while#sabertooth walrus was the hardest for me to mimic cuz they have a broad range in their style#so its like which sabertooth do i wanna be in this pic#Buggachat has such a distinct style thats very clean and consistent which is amazing so they were easy#being easy or hard arent bad things either it also has to do with like styles meeting up with one another#buggachats and mine arent too too different in some shapes and aspects#so yeah itd be easier plus they drew marinette like 3 sec ago so i have more recent of a ref#as opposed to sabertooth who i have a recent ref of ladybug but not marinette so we got two diff styles in one

I want to be able to discuss transmisogyny, both to be able to defend myself against it and to help other transfems suffering from it. But if the person talking about it goes out of their way to frame trans men as inherently more privileged than women, or dismiss transandrophobia, then- i have to be weary.
How can I trust that you're being accurate about the bigotry you experience, when you are being dismissive of the bigotry fellow trans people experience?
Truth is that transmasc people suffer a unique blend of transphobia, one that insists they are women and then enacts misogyny upon them based on that assertion. This is transandrophobia. Why shouldn't transmasc people be able to use this label to correctly identify their struggles, as we transfem people use transmisogyny to correctly identify ours?

as a true geto hater it brings me immense joy to remember that he got packed up by a suicidal anxious loser w/ the power of true love who hadn't even learned his own cursed technique yet and had been studying jujutsu for less than a year

Ok but, regarding TMAGP 27, I can't stop thinking about Jonah writing, after sending Archibald to a certain death, "It is done, and I am surprised to find how little remorse I feel." It reminds me of his statement in MAG 160:
"The discovery, not simply of the dark and horrible reality of the world in which you live, but that you would quite willingly doom that world and confine the billions in it to an eternity of terror and suffering, all to ensure your own happiness, to place yourself beyond pain and death and fear. (...) It is an awful thing to know about yourself."
I will never get tired of little details about his life being revealed (regardless of the timeline/dimension) because the parallel between his discovery of the supernatural world and the discovery of his own true self and the things he's capable of is so interesting and compelling to me.
Along with the knowledge of the horrors that exist in his world comes the horror of the realization that he might be capable of anything to stop feeling scared and vulnerable, to put himself over everybody else if necessary. Every time curiosity leads him into a new experiment, a new sacrifice in the name of knowledge, he lets go a little bit of himself and his morality. And then, as it happened with Archibald, and as it happened with Barnabas in another world, he feels surprised of how easy it was. Of how he doesn't feel regret or grief, how at most he finds himself thinking that it was all a pity. So it becomes even easier each time, he finds freedom in it, as he also mentions in MAG 160— and one sacrifice after another, it all becomes incredibly simple. There is no fear of losing himself, only the fear of death and pain remains, and only after that process of two hundreds years can one condemn the world for his own sake.
The progressive descent into evil of Jonah Magnus, slowly exposed through statements and letters, will never stop being one of the more interesting parts of this podcast imo.

You ever watch someone write the corporate equivalent of "fuck you and the horse you rode in" (cc'ed her bosses boss and HR)
#her boss wanted her to take it “day by day” about the wildfire situation and coming into work#despite the fact that shes perfectly able to work from home#and the fact that its a 45 min drive to her work#and fire and rescue telling us that they can give us a half an hour heads up if we need to evacuate#like dude get a grip#she didnt even ask for time off work#she asked for Home office#even threathened smth along the lines of “HO is a privilege”#bruh we are in active danger zone#in contrast: i wrote my boss about the “stuck in the UK bc of wildfires” and her reaction was#child wtf are you talking about. take time off. safety comes first work can wait. tell coworkers they have yo expect a delay#and would you look at that#as soon as you involve hr things are suddenly no longer a problem who wouldve thought#love watching her go all wide eyed and “oh i am so sorry was this not what you said? my bad tehe” while quoting exactly what he said back#at him. in the form of attaching the relevant email. or screenshot of the team's conversation#he tried doing things by call to leave less of a papertrail and she started writing notes afterwards that she send him to “confirm”#that they were on the same page#he tried conplaining once that she didnt need to make such a drama out of nothing and why she didnt come directly to him#and she just forwarded him a copy of their code of conduct highlighted where it says#“if boss unavailable here are the next instances that you have to let know”#and asked him all innocent “oh i am so sorry did i misremember smth? can you point out to me how i should react next time in this situation?#wales wildfires#<- think i will use that tag for now about this whole stuff. if you want to block it

it's so wild to me that there's really people out there who make up this hypothetical trans man in their heads that swans through life completely stealth. before t youre just seen as a regular woman or young boy and after t youre immediately a big strong man that 100% fits the rigid conformity men have to hit in order to be considered truly "men". fuck gnc people. fuck poc. fuck disabled men. fuck the dudes who just dont pass and never will.
but the REASON this made up trans man is so wild to me is because... i am a trans man that's been harassed about my gender! in public! by complete strangers! i am not on t. and i do not mean i was mistaken for a butch lesbian. i mean i have been clocked by several people, hurling abuse at me specifically because im a trans man. i mean i have been called faggot, tranny, asked incessantly what my gender is, backed into corners, shoved, spat at, had shit thrown at me, again, not because these people thought i was a lesbian or trans woman, but because they knew i was a trans man.
so it's insane to me youve made up this dude in your head that represents all trans men and then just... plug your ears and go LALALALALA when literally everybody in this fucking community tells you that that's not what it's like. but oh, im sorry, i forgot you watched a youtube interview with middle class passing trans male influencers and they said they get paid more, no you're right, they're just like me fr.

yes there is privilege in being able to choose whether I go to college or not. but it's kind of like. even if I did, the job market is so bad, most degrees are rendered next to useless anyway.....all of this work, and for what? you're not getting paid much better anymore, and you'll still be working likely on top of your schooling, and you'll have lifelong debt. unless I can prove it would bring me personal fulfillment, the point has started to seem a lot less clear than it did before. is it not going to just give me stress & debt atp?
the sad part is I actually like academics, more or less. I don't like homework because my brain is bad, or the way teachers often abuse their power over their students, but I like to read and write, I like to talk to people about these things, I like consistent routines and schedules. I could hate being a student more than I do.
but college just so genuinely feels pointless, at least in the way America has it set up, unless you have an incredibly specific career you want and know you need an incredibly specific degree for. unless the field is in dire need of workers, you're just going to get done with shovelling yourself in debt to not get a goddamn job in the field you wanted anyway, which I thought was kind of The Point! more and more is expected to get hired for anything, much less a job you think you wouldn't hate,
and do you know what kind of money they want from you? you'll probably be paying college debt off your actual entire life. my dad got the job he wanted, and we are doing pretty well, all things considered (hence why I have not been forced to do any of this), but it's nothing crazy. we still have to worry about unexpected bills, like hospital visits or fixing the car. and he'll be paying his debt off literally until he dies. it will never go away, only get incrementally smaller. he didn't go to the most expensive schools. he had good grades. he worked while he was in school. he got financial aid. and this is still the way it is. if they want people like me to go to school, I need to believe it's not going to fuck me over for my entire life, which is not the future I see.

ailette's preoccupation with feeding tesilid food is really cute and funny and wholesome, especially given how tesilid doesn't really seem to place as much importance on food even if he does appreciate it.
neither ailette nor the narrative ever acknowledges this, but i think it probably has its roots in her first life. when she grew up always hungry and never really had consistent and reliable access to food that was either delicious or nutritious. i think it just becomes really important to her that someone who means the world to her always gets to eat well. even if she lives well now in this life, her traumas from her past life maybe still subconsciously impacts how she navigates life.
#a transmigrator's privilege#the perks of being an s class heroine#ailette rodeline#i think it's really sad how we never really get callbacks or references to ailette's previous life after the elthea arc#what an arc it was. grandpa acquired. mom acquired. royal heritage acquired. weapon acquired. sad backstory (x2) unlocked and#resolution (x2) acquired#truly a masterpiece and an excellent way to end season 1#anw i do understand why her prev life is never brought up again bc. her hangups alr got resolved#and esp during the timeskip period probably when she got to grow up#but :(#the only references we get is her being sad abt being too old for the childcare genre ig#but its mostly played off for jokes#and anw its implied that she kind of alr stopped aiming for that genre long ago#sniffs. wouldve loved more exploration of that theme on family but its ok#better it be done well while it was relevant than it be botchered#anw suddenly getting sad about how even tho ailette might know so much abt tesilid's lives 1-100#he can never really know her past life apart from her maybe sharing about it#but why would she ever talk about it?#theres nothing in that life she ever seems to miss#right at the start she acknowledges that she doesnt actually miss her old life#only that she didnt want her relatives to inherit her money lol#is there anything positive and personally meaningful from that life that she wouldve liked to tell tesilid about#given how little she talks abt it... i kind of dont think so.................

ice spice tweeted a weird edit of her face to make her look asian to promote her new song and i feel like she wanted to promote herself as like sweet and sexy, a girl's girl, but i think she has latent doja vibes. she wants to be a troll. typically at other women's expense.
and it's like girl you don't have the talent for that. doja has only lasted this long despite her awful personality because she has talent and good production. if you don't have either... no flow in sight... a fat ass isn't enough
i saw that edit and was so confused......like how did asian ppl get up in it? so fucking weird. and bc i think she's a shitty rapper i don't go out of my way to find her content so idk if she purposefully promoted the girls' girl image but thats DEFINITELY how ppl online kept trying to make her out to be which is so weird now that i think abt it bc.....where has she shown that 😭 i thought i just wasnt seeing that side of her lol? but once i saw that ice was still on twitter tweeting like a normal person w no pr presence i just knew something like this would happen. rap fans act like these girls exist in a vacuum as if we haven't all met just a crazy hot light skinned girl who turns into a vindictive person when for the first time in their lives someone isn't automatically enamored with them and expects like................substance beyond being pretty and can pass the paper bag test. like what? a mediocre rapper that blew up bc of her ass and skin color lashing out like a twitter mean girl? i am so shocked (im not)
and im a major doja hater so i wanted to disagree but honestly? yeah. i forget doja is even supposed to be a rapper but as a pop girl she has the production she has the catchy hits. i can't stand that girl fr but when say so played at tj maxx i couldnt be as mad as i wanted to and its not easy for me to admit that lmaoooooo. anyways spice trying to be edgy is crazyyyyyyy like girl you are the colorism + fat ass hire! if you don't get your bag QUIETLY and go!

not sure it's my post to make particularly, but I do fucking hate how the concept of white guilt gets weaponized within white people ingroups to throw at each other in order to goad each other into emotional passivity, detachement and inaction, it's just so extremely not what the concept is about initially and is actually still an extension of white guilt it turns out!!! as it's still reacting to that idea and concerned by trying to sever oneself from its perceived effects, regardless of what those are and what they do and what bigger picture they exist in!!!! anyway.
#thoughts#personal#bad weird takes#I have seen SO many posts weaponizing white guilt as a thing you should be ashamed of recently#and therefore (generally) you should stop openly caring about palestine and in-community discordant voices from minorities!!#funny how that always goes#the appeal to reason very often opposed to “white guilt” in these messages is also... very revealing imo#like ok are we still on the Emotions VS Reason dychotomy as if the two cannot coexist and inform each other#as if this very dychotomy isn't based on pretty eurocentric imperialist ideas (with sexism sprinkled ontop)#and also the notion that you're stupid and childish if you feel guilty about the state of the world and your complicity in it#is fucking weird???#it's not bad to interrogate how we can offset the systems of oppression we benefit from!!! what is going on!!!#it's bad to use white guilt to center one's feelings over marginalized communities and how to be actually helpful sure!!!#and it's bad (unhelpful) to let guilt freeze us into inaction!! of course!!#but this is very much not what this is about whenever mentioned in these examples?#here it's the very concept that you “feel bad because of privilege” that is bad. it's just bad inherently apparently.#there seems to be weirdass mental gymnastics happening that seem to imply that it's actually based and epic to not feel white guilt#as if??? I don't know it would dissociate you from the causes??? ???? who knows#and so somehow!!! being a “more conscienscious” ally is to ignore marginalized communities' clear calls to action apparently!!#as you wouldn't want to burden them with your your embarassing urge to be helpful :/#REAL victims are being burdened by your behavior see. :/ no you can't talk to them nor see them they're conveniently always offscreen#being taken care of by actual Good Systems that we must trust instead of interfering or getting involved in any way :/#I swear there will be so very much to unpack about those last six months on the internet#I do find it grimly funny that all of these posts calling out its readership on “you let yourself be manipulated because of white guilt boo#are the ones. doing that. the most explicitly. but in reverse. using the concept of white guilt to shame people back into comformity.
