I can't be the only one who thought of that little tune that plays whenever you get the Super Star (Mario games) during this whole segment with Todo.
He is funny as hell for thinking of an Itadori constellation. 😆

Like I'm really asking why gege introduces characters just to off them. I hate saying its bad writing but I'm seriously looking like, why though. I really feel he got inspired by Togashi and is trying to come up with some banging plot twists and mind fuckery but it isn't slapping the same. Like "He can't keep getting away with this!!"
It is bad writing! I can talk about it for hours. It's a shame cause Gege writes so extremely well but suffers from telling more than showing.
When Gege takes his time, he writes amazingly! He has great symbolism and wordplay, good characters, and good plot elements, but then rushes all of it. In his defense, it must be hard to write on a weekly schedule especially under such pressure and under a company. I did add a tldr at the end cause I have so much to say.
But I noticed since around the Zen’in and Maki chapters that Gege’s biggest struggle as a writer is writing build up. I’m not the best writer myself, but it’s such a huge problem in his writing.
To preface, he does have good build up in certain characters:
Geto and Gojo’s relationship and downfall is done so exceptionally beautifully. There’s a reason there’s so much discourse with their relationship and fandom tears about it. Itadori and Megumi’s relationship mimicking theirs is also done very well.
Miwa and Mechamaru, as side characters, also have the right level of relationship build-up for their roles in the story.
Gege can even write deaths very well.
Junpei’s death sets up Itadori’s first failure, Sukuna as a non-ally, and sets the tone for the show that the good guys can lose.
Nobara’s “death” was unneeded for Itadori’s collapse. But as a character, I do feel she was completely fleshed out and finished. She was a character who knew who she was and embraced that without failure or doubt. The only growth I could see for her character development was to gain more empathy for others and become more open minded (something she seemed to realize at her death). But that’s another discussion.
Nanami’s death (although sad) was probably the best-done death in the series. He’s a fully fleshed out character, we know his motivations and his regrets, we were attached to him just as much as Itadori. Then, Gege adds on the juxtaposition of Mei Mei and Ui Ui to his death.
Spoilers below cut.
Where he goes wrong:
Gege tried to recatch the feeling of losing Nanami in Hiromi; but we got so little of Hiromi, it didn’t make an impact like Nanami even though Hiromi’s introduction is really good, and we see that Itadori starts to look up to him.
Choso, I believe, got caught in between being an important character that fans love and being a character that probably would have the least consequences out of the people who got stuck in Sukuna’s domain (i.e. Itadori and Maki) to die. So, his death would actually matter to the fandom; but after so many deaths, it’s too late to make the fandom care, it only brings anger.
I have a feeling he’ll do the same with Todo now.
The most ironic part is that Gege probably had the best character development moment since the Culling Games by choosing NOT to kill a minor character.
In this case, I’m talking about Remi and Megumi.
If we look at the Culling Games as the arc developing Megumi before he gets taken by Sukuna; we notice that Megumi is entering his serious, cold-hearted era. He’s making the sacrifices necessary to save his sister.
In this case, we see Megumi repeatedly killing other humans without stopping to think or any remorse. We touch this subject with all of the first years.
Itadori: struggles with killing humans, becomes regretful about doing so, hates himself for killing humans because of Sukuna. Then, he eventually resolves to do what is necessary as a cog.
Nobara: resolves this with her Bus Riding analogy. She won’t get bent out of shape when it comes to protecting herself or over strangers.
Megumi: He has the exact same thought process as Nobara. He kills humans when they attack him. However, we are also aware Megumi tends to have more sympathy for strangers and enemies than Nobara even though he likes to act like he doesn't.
Despite Remi leading him into a trap, he comes to see that she isn’t that bright and is being taken advantage of. So, even though he doesn’t like her, he feels sorry enough for her that he protects her, tries to talk reason into her, and gets hurt in the process despite her initially betraying him.
It isn’t until she attacks him, that he officially marks her as “scum”.
Megumi later hunts Remi down as easy points in the Culling Games and because she’s someone who is an enemy. Remi even describes men as wolves as he hunts her down and is confused and panicking about the situation since she’s never had to think for herself.
I’ve seen these scenes used to describe him as not being a kid anymore and basically using it to downplay his depression over losing Tsumiki, the mahoraga and bum memes.
But Gege uses Remi as a way to still display Megumi’s stipulations over killing others and his connection to Tsumiki as someone who helped him develop his moral compass and keeps him grounded.
Did Remi attack him? Yes.
But she was no longer posing a threat and actively running away from him, making her a non-enemy again. Megumi deciding to let her live is actually a solidifying moment in Megumi’s character, his relationship with his sister, and re-establishes him as a character who despite being outwardly cruel and distant at times has empathy and kindness for people. It shows this holds true when he has no reason to be kind to them and even good reason to kill them. However, this is something a) Megumi would have probably regretted later or b) set him on a worse path. Most importantly, it confirms just how much Tsumiki's ideals and expectations of him as a person means to him, giving reason to why his soul becomes weak enough to possess towards the end of the arc.
This is actually such a good example of his writing once again being amazing. Gege is aware that choosing to let someone live, even minor unimportant characters, works just as well as choosing to let someone die in terms of character motivations and development. Something that he doesn't give to Itadori for some reason, other than maybe the slim chance Nobara might live.
However, because the culling games swaps to purely fights after this, it’s a missed opportunity to continue exploring Megumi’s downward spiral and relationship with his sister before losing her. Sure, it would've been nice to see Tsumiki as her own person as well, but Gege does a good job in making Megumi's feelings about her known like when Megumi only chooses to go with Gojo because of Tsumiki.
However, this makes his exploration Maki and Mai, another sibling dynamic, lackluster in comparison.
This issue probably bothers me the most in Maki’s story and the story of the Three Big Clans.
After Shibuya, Gege has a chance to world build without Gojo as the issue. After all, the issue with Gojo being sealed was the dismantling of Jujutsu society.
He missed the chance to expand on the big clans and jujutsu societal structure as a whole. He has touched on the clans and their love of bloodlines, but he has not touched on how they function with each other and jujutsu society as a whole especially as they try to power grab and go against each other with Gojo’s absence rather than solve the Kenjaku problem.
We have no idea about the Gojo clan except that Gojo is the leader and main political figure. Kamo’s clan was slaughtered very quickly. As well as the Zen’in and higher-ups.
The manga could’ve used an arc focused on the downfall of Shibuya and the consequences, but we go straight to the culling games with barely a mention on Nobara.
Now with Maki, Gege once again sets up his relationships and character structure beautifully Mai and Maki. Their ending is also very well done.
However, there’s a lack of interaction between those two plot points. Gege consistently gives us just enough to make inferences but very little else.
We don’t see the twins react to one another outside their initial meeting and Mai’s death. We understand both their motivations, but we get no further insight into their relationship or them having another discussion on their choices.
Imagine how much harder Mai’s death would’ve been if we had scenes with her together with Maki; the possible hope of them repairing their relationship. Even if they were still fighting and didn’t make up, Maki would receive more character development if it was shown that she would one day make things up to Mai and her failure to do so. Also, it seems like Mai suddenly knows everything about why twins are bad luck, and Gege once again exposition dumps us about this information. The fact that it isn’t until Maki kills her mother that she finally says “She was so happy to have Mai and Maki” also rings very hollow.
The same with Maki and Naoya. We know Naoya is an asshole, and that he made Maki’s life hell but due to our lack of insight to clans and chapters to absorb the new characters, it’s lackluster. Naoya could’ve easily been swapped out with any other jerky character; the same way random sumo wrestlers helped Maki unlock all her potential.
Choso and Itadori suffer from this as well due to the month time skip. We care about Choso, and we know how much Choso loves his brothers, but I personally feel like I didn’t see Itadori truly accept Choso as his brother due to that time skip. Yes, he calls him Aniki, but I didn’t really see where the connection came from on Itadori’s end other than Itadori sympathizing with Choso’s feelings and his guilt over the fate of his other brothers.
I’ll probably get a little backlash for this, but the same can be said for Megumi and Gojo. Yeah, dad Gojo memes and fandom art are cute. Some of the games and light novels let us know that Gojo legitimately cares about Megumi, but we don’t get opportunities to see Megumi return that affection. In Japanese, Megumi only speaks casual to Tsumiki, and it’s said in interviews that Tsumiki is the one that mostly took care of herself and Megumi.
In the long run, I feel like if it was between Itadori and Gojo dying, Megumi would care more on a personal if Itadori died despite knowing Itadori for only 3-4 months. I could be completely wrong, but Gege doesn’t give us the insight to know for a fact Megumi’s feelings towards Gojo. I’m sure he cares about Gojo, but dad is pushing it.
Even Sukuna is suffering from this. Gege wants a story about a powerful villain, but he fails to realize that you still have to make the reader’s either a) care about that villain or b) interested in the villain from a character analysis point of view.
However, all we learn about Sukuna has been through telling. We learn about his twin, we learn he was an unwanted child, we learn he was a god to humans.
The most we got of a flashback was Yorozu’s crush on him, and Sukuna was rejecting her so hard that we didn’t really get any insight on how Sukuna feels about his past. Gege doesn’t give us anything to work with to care about Sukuna. Sure, he’s hot; sure, he has fan theories and fanfic that build upon his character, but in the sense of the manga, I really don’t know why I should care about him other than power scaling and his character design is cool.
Don’t even get me started on the month time skip either.
Tldr; Gege likes to tell more than to show, and we just got to rely on taking his word for it because he’s the author. He sets up beautiful plot points; he’s an amazing author when he takes the time to build upon them, but more often than not he glosses over the build up for quick emotional shots.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 21: I Am You
I think it's pretty funny that I haven't been active at all this week due to life, but my first post since the question about my activity regarding JJK, is a post about JJK. Just a bit of irony.
Anyways, this was originally just going to be a short complaint about narrative flops in this episode (that I thought I might not even write about), but I have a feeling it's going to end up a pretty long winded complaint about the handling of key characters at the end of this season. So here we go.
I'll just get right into it with the egregious ending of Itadori vs Mahito here.
I think that if for a minute you've understood who Itadori is, what he is, that this scene will immediately rub you the wrong way.
Why, on god's green earth, would you pull Sukuna into this conversation? Why would you make a reference to Sukuna with the words coming from Yuji's mouth in this context.
Better yet, why would you paint Yuji as a looming shadow above Mahito in this moment?
It's just an egregious and wasteful depiction of Yuji that takes his character in the complete opposite direction.
Our boy Yuji here isn't some grand hero, he is not some otherworldly threat to Mahito. He is, quite literally, the antithesis to Mahito. These are words that Yuji himself states, within this very episode.
Yuji is a cog in the machine of the Jujutsu world, he is a single piece of the puzzle that creates a bigger picture. He is the wolf hunting the rabbit on sheer instinct. There is no greater goal, there is no lofty ideal. It is clear cut and simple, that this is Itadori accepting his fate, accepting his life. Using the hole in his mouth to show him carrying the carnage of Sukuna on his back? Great idea. Using that imagery at the completely wrong time though? I can't imagine why they would choose to do that.
His entire character arc through Shibuya is to own his life at this stage, to say that everything he's done is his own actions, and that he'll keep pushing until he has nothing left. Not that he'll get stronger, not that he'll save his friends or the world, but that he'll keep. killing. curses.
It just sort of blows my mind to see how they would handle something so expertly clear cut from the manga. Gege's vision was so incredibly well defined and expressed in these finals moments of the pair. It was pure art, and absolutely earned its status and popularity within the fandom.
I won't lie, it hurts. Not physically, but it hurts. And then there's just a bunch of odd animation work with the sequence, like Mahito's mouth and eyes shaking at a million miles per hour. There's obviously some really great animation and work throughout the episode, and it's not so much that it's poorly animated, but just incorrectly animated. These characters can feel insanely different just from cut to cut alone, and when the smallest details can make the biggest differences, those variances can really add turbulence to their character arcs.
Anyways, onto the next topic of discussion: Todo. I love this man. Hands down, my favorite side character through all his time on the page and screen. Incredible character to put beside Yuji for balance.
But.
The production ran away with him a little too much. I get it, it's hard to not go crazy when you have the potential to, and in a vacuum I adore the two big sequences he's gotten in the last two episodes. However, I think you have to be pretty crazy to think that Todo's Takada Tandem (patent pending) is a good fit for the episode.
Todo and Takada are an... interesting pair. Todo doesn't "use" Takada too much, so it makes it hard to really define a proper line with it, so let me put it another way.
Before Yuji was in the picture, Takada was Todo's #1 by a mile. With Yuji in the picture though? Sorry Takada, a brother's more important than an idol.
So, you could imagine my surprise when Todo tries to steal Yuji's thunder with a Takada powered delusion. I mean, he's fighting side by side with his brother, the person closest to him in the world.
Todo went to Takada to ask a question in his season 1 dilemma with Hanami because Yuji was out of the equation. Yuji was not at risk, it was not "Yuji's fight". Where Todo was leading Yuji with Hanami, it is absolutely the other way around with Mahito. And I mean, the most obvious thing to explain that with is the fact that Mahito basically shoves Todo to the side to start.
Regardless, the idea is that Yuji's in the pilot's seat, he's the one that knows the most about Mahito, he knows how to fight him. Todo is there to support his brother. Bringing out Takada, stealing Yuji's thunder, and weakening the balance and chemistry between our brothers just confuses me to no end.
Like, just simple things like Todo's hand. Dude has 3-5 business days to chop it off in the anime, and realizes on his own to do so. Kudos to Todo and his insane IQ, but the entire idea presented in the manga is that Yuji is faster at warning Todo than Todo is at grasping what's going on. It's just things like these that undermine the significance and value of this fight, and consistently appear in the episode.
Completely baffles me why it happens, but it's just a further extension of the narrative trend of stirring the pot where no stirring is needed. And it really hurts. Powerscaling is nonexistent, fights have ended up vastly different in tone and execution, and core narrative elements have just all sorts of these little inexplicable changes that undermine that masterful work of Gege through this arc. We're almost across the finish line, and all I'm hoping for is for it to be over at this point, which is flat out depressing.

Hello, can I ask from this ask game :

For anime/manga : Queen's Quality, Akatsuki no Yona, Orange, and Jujutsu Kaisen.
Thanks 🌻
Sorry to reply so late :
Queen Quality :
Favorite Character: Fumi of course!
Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: The scene where it's revealed that the Black Queen is actually Fumi's self respect. The way she embrace her little self is adorable but also feel so healing for her. It's like healing your inner child.
Character I Think is Underrated: Oh man, everyone else?
Character I Think is Overrated: None!
Favorite Ship/Pairing: KyuFumi is the only one available but hopefully it's a good ones
Something I Love About the Show/Movie: How the story turn around mental health and even give you type to manage it. It seem little but actually cleaning your space help a lot with your mind than you expect. I love the gentle and patient approach the story have to emotions, how you shouldn't neglect them and the issues is never the emotions themselves but how you handle them. It's such a great manga!
Akatsuki no Yona :
Favorite Character: Yona!
Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: Tae Jun redemption arc! I didn't expect it at all and he became a favorite character after it
Character I Think is Underrated: I'm not sure
Character I Think is Overrated: ... Hak. Like sorry but being hot and loyal isn't enough for me to like a love interest but it's also due to how people were fawning on him while insulting Yona for crying for her trauma. I know it's not his fault but he have the typical profile of the male lead who's loved so much any criticism is met with death threats
Favorite Ship/Pairing: Zeno/Kaya
Something I Love About the Show/Movie: The way Yona strenghten herself but it's not at the price of her kindness. It's something I quickly loved about Yona that made her my favorite shojo mc for a long time, before that Fumi came along. She's still very precious to me.
Orange :
Favorite Character: Kakeru! He's more than a love interest to me
Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: It's my favorite but also painful : The whole flashback from the og Kakeru, about why he committed suicide. That was so heartwrenching.
Character I Think is Underrated: Naho herself. She's reduced as Suwa's trophy whos's a bitch for not choosing him. Even when people have good thing to tell about the manga, they never say anything good about her. Yeah she's dense! But she also became more and more brave throughout the story, she started to do things despite being scared and people forget how taxing it is to do things while scared.
Character I Think is Overrated: Suwa. And it's not even his fault! But people want to butcher the narrative just to offer him Naho as a trophy, Naho that they don't even like or feel like she's a good character, they just see her as an object. It's sad how most terrible take about the manga is because people love him.
Favorite Ship/Pairing: KakeNaho because they look cute
Something I Love About the Show/Movie: That it dare talk about depression and suicide with such care. For a romance it would've been easy to take the road of "I can fix him" where Naho loving Kakeru would've heal him from his depression, but he actually needed his FRIENDS and he WANT to heal because of how loved he is.
Jujutsu Kaisen :
Favorite Character: Itadori Yuuji of course!
Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: Honestly anything with the plant trio doing mission together. I wish we had more of that before... you know...
Character I Think is Underrated: TODO! And I know it's only because he's not conveniently attractive : the guy love Yuuji to the point to have his on his pendant locket, he hallucinated a whole school arc with him, he supported him when he was at his lowest... Todo deserve more. Also he'sn hilarious
Character I Think is Overrated: ... Gojo. Yeah I go for the obvious but it's more... people you KNOW that there's other character? Also stop using you know who as your self insert to have someone else than Geto to ship with him, seriously
Favorite Ship/Pairing: Itafushi. AH! Young love
Something I Love About the Show/Movie: How funny pretty much everyone is. I miss the Jujusanpo. I am not good at meta for too long work but I think there's more to see, especially around curse. Meta post explain it better than me
Thanks!

GREAT PRETENDER
YANDERE! JEALOUS! ITADORI YUUJI X CHUBBY READER
request. 🤍hi! May I request yandere yuji x chubby reader
Where the couple is hanging out with todo, And yuji thinks reader is getting to close, while she’s wearing tight dress. Then cut to yuji bullying her, fucking her senseless till all she can do is babble his name and think of only him🤍 hopefully this sounds right (ty)
content warnings ─── possessiveness, yandere themes, jealousy, dubious consent, rough fucking, multiple orgasms, overstimulation, dacryphilia, cunnilingus, creampies, mean! yuuji, name-calling,
ᝰ synopsis .ᐟyou should have never played fire if you can't face the repurcussions.
itadori doesn't strike as the jealous type in front of other people. he's all smiles and chuckles when being faced with envy and shakes it off as a good manner in not to offend others and shrugs it off like nothing.
that's why he endures it through gritted teeth and keep his lips in forming into a snarl. the irritation keep building the more you talked or are you seducing todo in front of him.
you really are. giggling at his remarks and enthusiasm about that idol who he had been babbling for the last minutes. attention whore. he thinks to himself whilst looking at you. engrossed in the conversation with todo. did he just think you're a whore? itadori shakes the thought to himself you could never be one. whore isn't the one he'd describe you with. you're far from that. he was quick to dismiss the thoughts when you link your soft hands to his calloused ones.
“yuuji!” you beamed at him. flashing him one of your brightest smiles that instantly lifts his mood up. his jealousy dissipating in the thin air when you've given him the attention that is truly for him.
you went right in front of him. stopping him from walking further and itadori is on full mode. attentive and alert of what you were about to do and he was taken aback when you giggled in front of him. wrapping your arms around his neck before leaning towards his face to kiss him on the nose. the gesture alone sending sparks of electricity throughout his body. his arms already in your plush waist. hands above your butt and his head in your neck. burying his nose where he can smell your scent and his sight on todo. unaware of such affections behind his back and yet, itadori couldn't let go of
you were his — from the start until to the very end and hell will freeze over before you would belong to someone else who's not him.
when you pull yourself from his grasp. itadori couldn't deny the twisting pain in his gut. similar to a milk being churned to turn into butter. his eyes following your finger as you happily skipped and listen again to whatever todo was discussing to you about.
such declaration of love would be seen and heard as sweet and the devotion coming from it, is clear. it's far from it. the sickness and the selfishness that makes it deep and itadori wouldn't say he's jealous. he's not the type to get envious over silly things but it's not silly when it comes to you. not when you're happily basking in that stupid attention todo is giving to you. parading around with that tight little dress that almost leaves nothing for imagination.
the curve of your ass, the swell of your chest and that soft pudge in your tummy protruding in that clothing and your creamy thighs being exposed by that dress everytime you move. if todo was nothing but a pervert he would be ogling at you. like a dog being taunted by a piece of meat. drooling and excited. thankfully, todo isn't like that. knowing when to distance himself from such temptations but he's a man. a man who has needs and he swears he can see that gorilla stealing glances at your delectable body.
hence, he felt silly why he approved you of wearing such clothing in this cold night. he understands women have this preference of dressing nicely and being provocative at the same time and he accepts it for you. seeing you happy and confident with the body that you had numerous countless battles of. itadori couldn't be more any prouder and he can protect you from the sleazy bastards that dared to touch his girl but can he shield you and himself from the man who helped him so much. now stealing glances and god knows whatever thoughts run in that mind of his.
it didn't help when you almost fall face flat in the hard concrete ground. todo's arm wrapping around your stomach. the action intimate and that further enraged itadori. the sound of his footsteps almost stomping and hiding that scowl in his face with a grateful look to aoi. pulling you closer to his with apologies in his lips why his time with him and yours would be cut short. that night itadori held you close. hands tightly holding yours and his eyes burning with fury. you had taken the brunt of his anger that night.
he made you cum with his tongue thrice. your dress bunched up in your plush waist. your back pressed in the wall, your legs slung on his shoulders while he feasts on your cunt. laving your cunt with his spit until you were trembling and limp. your thick thighs crushing around his head and itadori didn't mind that. it's only his claim that only him could make you feel this good.
“you're a two-faced bitch...” he began and the tears came springing in your eyes at his words. “'m not...” you defend yourself while your fat pussy is mercilessly being battered by his huge cock. his hips swinging back and forth. his hold on your flabby arms is tight while you scratch his muscular biceps. nails digging from the impact of his cock inside you.
“yes, you are. acting chummy for aoi. i bet you want to get fucked by him.” itadori groans. the words he's throwing at you and thinking of what happened earlier replaying in his mind like reels. you couldn't muster any words before his hips is full on slamming into yours. his cock nudging the soft spots in your pussy that you can't even think straight.
your thick legs thrown in his shoulders. your chunky calves is flattened, the back of your creamy thighs meeting the same fate with his hands grips it. pressing your legs further in your chest that it starting to burn from the stretch. “yuuji!” you moaned out. back arching from the sudden orgasm he pulled out from you. your eyes closing while you let out a whimper. catching your breath in slow motions but it was instantly knocked out when your boyfriend continued his assault in your sopping cunt.
“yuuji!” you call his name again but it fell into deaf ears. entranced by your pussy tightening around his cock. engulfed in your warm walls that the boy above you is already drooling. his saliva dribbles and falling to your folded rolls in your stomach.
he snapped out of his thoughts when another orgasm came crashing into you. shaking your whole system that your body trembled and quaked under from his touch. your moans are garbled and your voice are getting higher in pitched while you repeatedly call his name. he's not lasting any longer either. his balls tightening while his cock twitches from his impending release. with a rough thrust, making sure that his cock is lodged deep inside you. he came. loads and loads of his cum pumping inside you. coating every corner and when yuuji cums, it's too much. the thick and creamy white cum of his overflowing from your insides and outside. escaping from the holes of the side of his cock buried inside you.
he continued fucking you dumb until he's sure he dumped his load. fingers pinching and squeezing the fat in your body making sure you're marked. he also had teeth marks littering in your body, in your chest, arms, your round stomach, thighs and fuck he ain't leaving a spot unmarked until it satiated him.
you are his and nothing would change that. he would kill anyone who dared to look nor touch you. blood in his hands is nothing when he did it for his love to you.

I got tired of posting so much and the pacing picked up, so here we go all at once.
S1 E3 I really don't have strong thoughts on this one tbh. It's mostly expo and character introduction. S1 E4 Damn Sukuna is basically just Gojo's personality but evil and with absolutely no chill. Also, obligate inclusion of my friend's joke about his domain. "Domain Expansion: Malevolent Kitchen" S1 E5 Furry Boy you just caught the King of Curses' interest. This will not end well for you. S1 E6 Itadori. My guy. You REALLY should have taken the deal with the no killing/injuring addition. You aren't Gojo, you can't back up your ego, so lose it. S1 E7 Gojo just fuckin left in the middle of a fight TO TEACH A LESSON. I am not sure his domain isn't actually Infinite Ego. S1 E8
Todo would do numbers on Tumblr. S1 E9 Nanami go off. Working for a living does suck. S1 E10 Mahito would get along great with The Witness from Destiny. Both are nihilists with a thing for non-con body-modding of others. S1 E11 AWWW FUCK YEAH NANAMI HATES OVERTIME. HE'D BE A UNION MAN IN BLUE COLLAR FOR SURE. S1 E12 Itadori please stop trying to bargain your soul away to Sukuna. This is going to bite you in the ass later. S1 E13 BASED NANAMI CONTINUES, HE CARES ABOUT HIS CLIENTS AND OTHER PEOPLE.
I have decided to watch JJK, so I'm gonna keep a record of this because funny. I'll probably put one thing per episode or at points where I have something to say. Spoilers I guess.

PLEASE DO Kill, Marry or Friends with Jujutsu Kaisen characters based on their zodiac signs/placements
I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I SAW THIS OMG!!! Any opportunity to talk about Jujutsu Kaisen 💅
Friend, Marry, Kill w/ JJK Astrology
This is based off their Sun signs btw. I mean I did go through and do Gojo and Itadori's chart, but I decided I didn't want to do that for everyone. My bad.
Aries: Kasumi Miwa. Friend!! I love her she's adorable. Her Aries placements come through with her excitement, her adoration for Gojo and admiration for Maki. She very confident and brave when she goes and asks Gojo for a picture too btw, bestie I couldn't do that omg 😭. Anyway, it makes sense for a fire sign to admire people who are incredibly strong, confident and direct (like Gojo and Maki). They're both brilliant sorcerers and thus have majorly earned her respect.
Taurus: Mei Mei. Kill. I mean, she certainly has the materialistic side of Taurus down pat?? Also hardworking and whatnot... but that's about it. She lacks the care, kindness and deep appreciation for beauty that Taurus tends to have. She has all the Bull with none of the Venus side of Taurus, you know? That said, she is stunning. So maybe not completely lacking, but still.
Gemini: Noratoshi Kamo. Kill. Okay so he's a nice guy and I actually quite like him, despite the 'kill' verdict. He's just a very very base-level Gemini, with not much of the stuff I really love about that sign? He's fun and chill and nice. Which is great! But that's it. He's got no real depth. He seems like the kind of guy who would have Gemini's stereotypical flakiness and gossip-y-ness too. He's definitely cool though! No hard feelings for my man Kamo, I promise.
Cancer: Nanami Kento. Friend? I said 'friend' with a question mark because he's more like a mentor or teacher than anything else. I have too much respect for him to ever see him on an equal friend level. Due to his Cancer qualities, he is one of the only anime teachers I respect. He's very protective over these kids and has dived in whenever they need him. He understands that they are kids and need to be nurtured and protected, not thrown into life-threatening situations without a second thought. Nanami is a hard worker, but he knows it isn't everything hence, his aversion to overtime). Endless respect for this man 15/10. I'm not a Nanami simp, but I do believe he deserves way more love and credit.
Leo: Nobara Kugisaki. BEST friend. (Also the girl in the gif above, in case anyone didn't know). The ultimate bad bitch. Her love for fashion and shopping? Stereotypical Leo trait. Her fierce love and protectiveness of Maki? Stereotypical Leo trait. Her gorgeous hair??? STEREOTYPICAL LEO TRAIT!! She fits her sign incredibly well. She embodies most Leo traits tbh, good and bad. I love her for it!! She has great style. She is honest, speaks her mind (personally a trait I adore) and isn't afraid to put people in their place. Being best friends with Nobara would be the same as having a guard dog (in a cute way). I love her, she wins, one of my favourite Leos <3
Virgo: Masamichi Yaga. Kill. I hate him. So stern, traditional, practical, organised. For what?? I know he's still flexible like Virgo, but my point stands anyway. You could argue that, yes, 'this is logically the best way'. Actually think about things from an emotional, human perspective though. Not everything is the right thing to do just because it 'makes sense'. What's worked for you in the past might not work in this situation. I fully support Gojo in his dream of changing the Jujutsu sorcery high-ups and the way things are done.
Libra: Aoi Todo. Frenemies. I know this wasn't an option, but he did not fit into any of them. He appreciates beauty and is quite romantic like Libra, but holy hell he's a bit much. Personally I think he's a very funny character, as a character. I would struggle with him so much in real life omg. I would've lost it at him at least once. Sorry Todo <3
Scorpio: Inumaki Toge. Friend!! No cuz Inumaki is my MAN. He loves fucking with people and it's iconic. I also think it's crazy how this man speaks in an onigiri language and still has SO many people simping for him (as he should). He has the magnetism and overall attractiveness of Scorpio. Good for him!! He's also very loyal and deeply emotional with his loved ones, much like Scorpio. I mean if you think about it, he made up a while onigiri language to protect everyone? Even though I'm sure it makes life quite difficult at times? That's honestly so sweet and people don't talk about how kind Inumaki is, much like they don't with Scorpio.
Sagittarius: Gojo Satoru. Friend. I wanted to say 'kill' because I'm here for the Gojo slander, but honestly I really like him and how he uses his Sagittarius energy. I love how he chooses to change the jujutsu sorcery world by teaching the upcoming sorcerers. I love how he took Megumi under his wing. I love how he clearly cares and wholeheartedly believes in these kids. He's also super funny and whatnot, but he's genuinely a very protective and gentle heart. All of these traits are EXACTLY what Sagittarius is all about, and I think he embodies it perfectly tbh. Not to mention is bluntness towards the higher ups lmaooo
Capricorn: Megumi Fushiguro. Marry. Omg okay Megumi <333. He's extremely powerful, but doubts his abilities majorly (very Capricorn thing to do). He does a lot of things that are hard, but for the greater good. Extremely noble guy. He's also very proud and quite serious, which is obviously quite stereotypical Capricorn. Of course, it's all a façade though. He adores his friends and wants to keep everyone safe and secure, at all costs. Megumi is a cutie, truly
Aquarius: Maki Zenin. Marry. MMMMMM Maki <33333. The way she wants to restructure and quite frankly beat the Zenin Clan as we know it, to prove them all wrong? Iconic. The way she's found a way to fight despite not being born with cursed energy? Outstanding. The way she uses her Aquarius energy to change things for the better and become stronger is incredibly admirable. I think she shows the 'revolutionise' and 'change' part of Aquarius very well. She can come off as quite cold, though we can tell she always means well and does warm up eventually. All in all I love her very much and I'm honoured to be the same sign as her.
Pisces: Yuji Itadori: Marry. THE LOVE. OF MY LIFE. Best boy. My sweet, sweet boy. His empathy and kindness is unparalleled. He has so much love to give the world. Yuji is constantly doing whatever he can to help the world and everyone in it, even if it means killing himself in the process. He is able to connect, empathise and relate to people in a way most people cannot (think about what he did for Junpei, you know?). A very different note, but he was right into the occult club which is very spiritual-Neptune-y of him. I just KNOW he would listen to me go on about astrology for ages, listening very intently and excitedly. Itadori is my favourite I'm genuinely crying as I write this omg. In conclusion, Yuji Itadori personifies what Pisces truly is at it's core. This is also a weird note, but I had a dream about him last night which is quite on-topic with Pisces and Neptune and all that lol
That's all I have for today! Thank you so much for reading and thank you SO MUCH to the person who requested it, I had the best time writing this omg. Sending you all lots of love, and remember to watch Jujutsu Kaisen if you haven't <33

Forgotten Curse Sukuna x Curse! Reader: Chapter 7:
HHHHHHUUUUUUAAAGGGHHH!
Yuji jolted up from the cold metal table gasping for air. He whipped his head around the room and found Y/n laying on the table parallel to him. Sliding off the table he investigated his surroundings. When he was practically right over her, he called her name but she didn't respond.
The last thing I remember is dying but...I'm still here.
He lifts his hands palm up and peers down at the condition of his body.
There's still blood where he ripped my heart out. No wound though.
Yuji pressing his fingers against where his heart is feeling the warmth from his fingertips.
Still beating, still alive.
Sighing in relief he removes his hand from his chest and drops it to his side. Then a shiver shakes his whole body.
It would be great if Sukuna didn't rip my shirt apart.
He switches his focus to the curse in front of him.
Was her hair this long before? It's only a small difference, but...Is that blood on her hands?
I knew she came to stop Sukuna at the last moment but why isn't she waking up? Is she still alive?
In a panic he checks for a pulse but then stops.
Do curses even have a pulse?
He ponders and dismisses the thought.
How did we even get wherever here is? Did she bring me? But then...Where's Megumi? This is getting way too confusing.
Itadori tugs her arms and pulls her up from the table having her lean against him. He remembers her face full of such rage but now it was that of a doll. Motionless. Cold. Frozen in time. He turns around and pulls her onto his back.
He treks out of the room and sees the sign next to the door that says, 'Morgue'. Wandering, he comes across a few flights of stairs and continues his journey. He reaches the top he rounds the corner and places the curse on the floor back to the wall. He plops himself down next to her to regain his energy. He glances down at each end of the hallway, which seems endless, but he finally recognizes the lay of the land from a few windows nearby.
This is still Jujutsu High.
He rushes to pick her up again and this time he finds a door.
Finally.
He pushes the door open with his side making sure not to drop the curse. It takes him a while before he reaches the buildings he remembers.
"Itadori?" Gojo shocked pauses. "You have her with you." His voice darkens.
"Gojo-sensei? Haa...I finally found someone." Itadori sighs in relief.
"Where were you?"
"The morgue." Yuji stares at Gojo blankly.
"So that's where she took him." Gojo mutters under his breath. "It's surprising you're still alive, did you make a contract with Sukuna?"
"Not that I know of. But for some reason I feel like something isn't right." Itadori shifts in discomfort and readjusts his hold on the curse.
***
Chapter 125, I can only imagine what it feels like to see one of your closest friend's face blown off by your worst enemy.
Well, second worst enemy.
I'm starting to wonder if Mahito is neurotic. He probably is, that sick son of a bitch laughing at Itadori's misery. Making him act irrationally and fumble his next attack.
Nobara why did you have to go?
Itadori, you're huddled on the floor crying out at your own helplessness.
I'm helpless too. I know your fate yet I can't do anything to help. Just who am I?
I could re-read this series a thousand times and nothing would change. So many deaths, so much pain.
What does that leave?
Is gaining that power worth the cost of almost everyone you know dying in the process?
Todo you fought valiantly alongside Yuji but at the cost of your own cursed technique. Everyone is doing their best yet...I have to stand here watching it all happen.
If only...If...if...if...That is the one word that comes to mind.
Chapter 133, you took him. Unforgivable. Unforgivable. Unforgivable.
I think I might crush my phone at this rate.
I want to scream.
Getou I'll ruin every plan, plot, and misdeed you'll think of. Just know if I ever come to your world, and I have power you'll be the first on the chopping block.
Don't worry I'll find a fate worse than death especially for you.
Oh, as for what you did to Gojo...I'll pay you back a hundred, no a hundred-thousand times over.
I'll come up with such a maddening solution, not even you will be able to stop my plans. Not even myself.
They all need a taste of reality. The world will not revolve around them. I refuse.
Sukuna don't think for a moment that I forgot about you.
But when I look at Getou...You don't seem that troublesome anymore. I mean it's all just about killing humans, right?
That's dull.
***
"Kugisaki, there's something you need to know." Megumi shuffles to the doorway of Nobara's room out of breath.
"Fushiguro, pfft...Who the hell beat you up?" Nobara stifles a laugh but can't hold it in and she guffaws. Taking out her phone she makes the best of this scarce opportunity and uses the shutter feature on her phone for maximum blackmail.
"Kugisaki...Itadori is dead." Megumi rests his weight against the door and holds his side.
Nobara halts and does a double-take waiting for Megumi to say something else. Anything else.
"What do you mean? He was just..." She trails off unable to finish her thought. "There's no way."
"It was Sukuna." Megumi holds a hand against his face as if trying to cover his words.
"Is that why you're?" Nobara's brow furrows and she frowns.
"And that curse he saved...she took his body." Megumi's grip tightened on the door.
"She what?" Nobara was startled with the new development.
"She said she was going to take him where he needed to go."
"Where he needed to go? Maybe...I wouldn't worry about it, Gojo will probably figure it out." Nobara scratches her head and places her phone on her night table.
"That's what he said." Megumi rolled his eyes at her response.
"Let's go get some ramen." Nobara pumped a fist in the air with a new found determination.
"Why?"
"To remember the good times." She flashed a hearty smile at him and dragged him along with her.
***
"When do you think Mahito will be back?" Jogo voiced out not expecting an answer.
"Sooner than you think." Getou cracked a smile and sat down near the edge of the hot springs. Steam covered the area like a fog which contrasted with the clear starry night sky.
"Haaa...Haaa." Mahito slithered from his puddle form and shifted to his human appearance.
"How did it go? That was rhetorical. I assume it didn't want to join based on your appearance." Getou partook in some of the sake left around.
Mahito cannonballed into the hot tub making the scalding water splash everywhere. "It was an exhilarating fight. She knew about my attacks before I said what they were." He drew out his smile a little too wide.
"Though it didn't matter since I was still able to heal fast. The thing that was strange is that her appearance was similar to mine for a time..." Mahito stared off into the distance his thoughts wandering. "I don't know why but she had this intense hatred for me even though we just met!" Mahito opened his mouth wide in an 'ugh' expression.
"It looked like you?" Getou answered curious at the wildcard's cursed techniques.
In all my time of living I've never heard of a curse like that before. It has enough power to put up a fight against Mahito, I have to meet them.
"We're changing the plan." Getou stated.
Everyone's attention was drawn to Getou's words. Hanami's head raised away from the bountiful flower field nearby and he joined the rest of the group.
"We need a distraction for the wildcard so we can get closer to the target of the mission." Getou polished off the rest of the sake with a soft exhale.
"Aah? You didn't leave any for me." Jogo huffed out the volcano on his head puffing out some ash.
"We'll just get some on the way." Mahito commented sticking out his tongue.
Getou pushed himself up with his hands and strolled away from the rest of the group. As soon as he was far enough away, he smiled up at the sky.
I might just have to go and kill them, but not yet. I can't have any chance of Gojo seeing me.
Mahito comes up from behind and speaks, "I forgot to mention, she said 'Kenjaku I know what you were planning from the beginning.'" He put a finger to his cheek and tilted his head toward the sky alongside Getou.
"She said what?" Getou snapped his head towards Mahito who was more interested in observing the sparkling stars.
How? How could she know? She would've had to have been near me through all my different lives. It isn't possible. I would've recognized her. Just who is she?
Getou let out a long laugh and inhaled, "She needs to die."
***
Memories again...How many times will I go through this? I was in Sukuna's domain and trying to help Itadori but...Sukuna killed me again.
I knew what he was going to do but I failed.
"You didn't fail."
Who?
"You."
I don't understand. Are you perhaps the me with all of my memories?
"I'm the original. Don't get it wrong."
I won't argue but I...You are engulfed in hatred. I want to say I understand the depths of your hate but I know it isn't true.
"Heh...You never will, just play your role."
My role? I just want to go home.
"Don't lie, you would never want to go back if you knew what I know."
You may be right but that doesn't mean I won't try.
"I'll show you soon, what it was like at home. You'll never forget it even if you lose all your memories again. I'll make you remember."
***
"Fuck, I can't believe I let him take advantage of me like that." She slammed her fist against her icy throne.
"As soon as he questioned me, I gave in to his demands. What happened to being strong!" The ice cracked under her strength.
"Now I'm here of all places, fuck me for being too self-aware." She leaned her hand against her forehead and dug her nails further into the ice.
"At least I hope Getou is in a panic over what I mentioned to Mahito." She smirks thinking about Getou's annoyed face.
"Not to mention Sukuna must be so confused. Heh...Maybe he'll feel a sliver of the hate I have for him." She curls her hand watching her nails lengthen and turn black.
I need power. More, more, more. It's not enough.

Gege is great at showing us that side-characters are going through their own arcs and stories that we either wont get to see or only see a glimpse of. And they're okay with letting it stay that way, which is refreshing no matter how much those side-stories may interest me.
Like you said, there's the example of Maki's mother, which is done beautifully. But also there's the scene between Yaga, Kusakabe and Takeru's mother that really sticks with me because obviously there's a story there that's already taken place but we may never know the details of it. Same for Todo and Takada-chan or Momo and Mai. You get the sense that all of these characters have their own arcs that are happening or have happened behind the scenes rather than them just being background reactors to what's currently going on and it makes them feel so human.
We also see this with Yuuji's story. Despite it being the main story of the manga, you get the sense that it's just something that's happening within the world of jjk. The people around him don't treat him or interact with him like he's a main character, because he isn't, he's just a student like all the other students. He's not the first to be sentenced to execution. He's not a prodigy or a natural at jujutsu or special. He's just a kid. Even when we find out that he was always supposed to be a vessel, Gege balances it with the knowledge that there are other vessels like him for other curses. Yuuji and Sukuna are just one of many, and they're the one's we're focused on.
(Sorry for rambling in your askbox, hopefully this all makes sense 💗)
I agree with everything ♥ and it gives me a good opportunity to talk about Yaga and Jin. There is a false idea that a story can be told as it is full, but the truth is that nobody remembers everything and what remains from the past are just pieces. Us, readers, faced against small pieces of a story we don’t know we have to exercise our imagination to understand what they (characters) have been through. I really enjoy that about Gege writing, we never know everything, all the details. Those pieces (alway incomplete) he gave us put us in the situation to try to decipher riddles and force us to try a deep understanding of the characters and the story.
Why did Yaga create Panda? Sometimes I believe he didn’t have a reason like a plan, but was an impulse of someone who felt alone. Someone who gave his life to jujutsu, who served the cause and got nothing but bad memories. That chapter doesn't solve the enigma, but insert the question and through that question we can think about Yaga, who he was and why he did what he did.
The same for Jin Itadori. It’s just a few panels but let us understand that Yuji's tragedy started with his father and set so many questions about him and Kenjaku. Maybe we won’t ever know with details what happened to him, but we know that Yuji’s tragedy started with Jin’s yearning to become a father.
#rengokunico#ask adari#jjk reply#i don’t if is because of my job but i love stories told by fragments that are always incomplete

Hello, I'm new here, I would really like you to answer my question, I really like your thoughts. What bothered me most about this chapter 261 of jujutsu is that it doesn't make sense that Yuta came back in Gojo's body, this took away the weight of Itadori again in the story, it seems like a fanfic written by a fan. 2. this chapter took away all the weight of gojo's death.
Hi, right back at you, Anon!
I could see how this chapter bothered you. I seen some people even mentioned how "Yuji is going to be sidelined again".
I already written a post about 261 here, and I'm going to mention a few things I already said in that post.
Now, this may seem to be shocking to some people when I say this because y'all know Yuji is my favorite. But... I can see Yuta on the frontlines but just for this moment. I also have a second outlookto this. I don't think this is going to be a Sukuna VS. Yuta battle.
It feels, just a little at least, like a tag team of Yuji and Yuta VS. Sukuna part 2. It's just that this time, Todo is here in the place of Rika.
In my post, I mention how it feels like Yuta may be showing up at this particular time to save Yuji from losing that bit of humanity he has left. In a way, he is taking the weight off of Yuji. That burden of turning yourself into a curse to kill a curse.
Also, I just thought of this. The audience knows Yuji has awakened. We seen him hitting Sukuna with those back-to-back Black Flashes, whooping Sukuna's ass. Yuta hasn't.In a more realistic sense, with Yuta being out the fight for some time, during that time I can imagine he also worried about Yuji and the others like "I gotta get back in the fight, I gotta help". So pack that panic onto possessing your teacher's body.
I know to some, this indeed feels like a "Yuta is here to take Yuji's shine" moment, but again to me it's just feels like someone coming to help after taking an inhumane risk.
Gojo told Yuta to take care of Yuji and the others if something ever happened to him. And yeah, this is him doing that.
There's also the fact that neither Yuji or Yuta actually care to show out against Sukuna, they just want to kill this guy. There's not even a sense of rivalry between them.
And even if Yuji is out of the fight for a while, this is a rhetorical question for other Yuji fans, would that make you see him any less of a great character he is?
Because even during the Culling Games, he wasn't in that arc much but it didn't make me think of less of him because before, during and after he has moments that I still find great and honestly when he's not onscreen, just makes appreciate him more as a character.
I don't think screentime should determine how great a character is. Just the time they have shown should count for something. That during that time onscreen, they showcase what makes the viewer favor them.
Whatever happens next, isn't going to make me think of Yuji any less.
But enough of that!
Okay, for Gojo's death... okay, I can see why people would feel upset about Gojo's body being used like that after dying.
But I think that's the point. It should make the audience sick to their stomach because none of the characters are happy about it either. Except maybe Sukuna, he seems thrilled.
People are currently slandering Shoko for not trying to convince him against it, but uh... in the same breath Gojo expresses indifference about it even though it is his body. "Who cares what happens to one's corpse?" He takes no regard about what if he does lose and says "well, I'll admit I don't like my body being used like that".
Didn't do that.
To me, Gojo... I'm not going to say "okay"... was nonchalant about it being he states "he won't lose, he won't die" verbally to hide that even if he does he's accepting to it. He accepts he dies this time around. He finally is no longer tied down to that life of being a weapon. And maybe... this is also him kind of... punishing himself for what happened to Geto's body.
Geto died and Gojo didn't properly dispose of the body because he probably couldn't make himself do it. That lead to Kenjaku getting his body and using it as a weapon.
So, how does Gojo make up for it. Well, Yuta is the one to end Kenjaku so Gojo, still probably feeling not feeling satisfied and guilty, decides "well, if I do lose, they can use my body as a weapon".
Gojo's life is a tragedy, but his afterlife, being there with Geto and the others he lost, just may have been his mercy. He's finally in a paradise where he can feel happy, truly happy and whatever goes on in the real world, he can let go, including his body.
But that's just me.
