I’ll be honest the way some people talk about this show makes it sound less like they’re interested in the messy nature of people failing and remorse and guilt and atonement and redemption and regret and the capacity to change and the inability to undo what’s been done and unforgivable actions and maybe forgivable people and how you face all of it and continue to live and endure. and more like they want to be sitting in that jury, determining who’s guilty or not guilty, deciding a sentence, and walking away satisfied in the result being final

The whole "breasts shouldn't be politicized because the primary purpose of breasts is to feed babies!" can be a fine jumping-off point, but I really wish people thought deeper than that when we talk about the ways in which bodies are politicized and restricted.

Like, why's it that when we talk about breasts, they must have some Higher Purpose? It's true that breasts aren't inherently sexual, but they aren't valuable solely because they can potentially feed a baby. A human body doesn't have to serve a Higher Purpose in order for it to not be legislated against or policed, and I just wish people would remember it isn't always about babies, about other people, about anything else other than the people who have that body.

Guys, guys, just picture the two of them in car blasting Girlfriend, singing at the top of their lungs. Picture Eddie pulling up next to them at a stoplight and staring at them in stupefied delight, like what is happening right now oh my god is this real life did I somehow end up in the trippiest version of heaven what

Picture Robin noticing Eddie gaping at them like an idiot and nudging Steve. Picture Steve, without missing a beat, turning to the driver next to them and sing/screaming "I want to be your girlfriend"

Then he realizes who he just sings that to, the guy Robin KNOWS he's low-key had a crush on all year, and bursts into nervous laughter at Eddie's gobsmacked expression and fucking floors it the microsecond the light turns green, cursing out a cackling Robin the entire time

Eddie goes home that day with the image of a sunny-bright Steve laughing with unreserved joy and bopping to a fun beat with his bestie. Eddie finds himself humming Girlfriend on and off all week, much to Corroded Coffin's horrified delight

A concept I think you'll enjoy:

Dream who is so touch starved that he's terrified that the moment someone touches him he'll fall apart completely. So the few times he does touch another person, he's always very restrained. He never initiates for fear of going to far and being over eager and accidentally making the other person uncomfortable. When he does get hugs, he's as still as possible cause he doesn't know how he's allowed to touch another person. So because he's always so careful when he does touch others, it barely does anything for his touch starvation. Then he meets Hob, who wants to let Dream crawl into his ribcage and let him curl up and sleep there safe forever.

It takes forever for them to get on the same page about touch, Hob at first assumes that Dream doesn't like touch, which is a fair assumption given how still he is anytime anyone touches him, or how often he flinches away from people. Or how he never initiates touch. But eventually they get on the same page and Dream proceeds to spend the next week trying to make a home for himself in Hob's ribcage. Hob is very pleased with this turn of events, he wants nothing more than to hold Dream next to his heart and keep him safe forever
