katsuki will not stay up later than 8pm on a school day because he cares a lot about his rest, but if it's a weekend or you're on break, he'd be willing to stay up later with you.

he doesn't care much for the dorm rules, especially since you're his partner anyway, so he will definitely stay in your room past curfew. curse those who catch him in your dorm late at night. what are they going to do?

he's up for whatever you want to do, honestly. movie marathon? self-care night? cleaning your room? he'll do it all. he might jokingly complain here and there, but he's truly relaxed around you. he'll spend nights however you'd like.

everyone knows that izuku isn't one for sleeping early. your nights consist of watching him train outside the dorm building, or sitting on the floor of your room exchanging notes.

if you wanted to do something fun, he wouldn't refuse, but he'd be going back to his own room at the end of the night. not because he doesn't want to sleep with you, he just does it out of respect. your rooms' beds can only accomodate one person comfortably, and he doesn't want to disturb you!

he's more of a morning person, really. so if you'd like a jogging partner or a breakfast buddy, he's up bright and early with you.

he knew that getting into a relationship meant spending a lot of time together, but shoto hasn't received much affection before, so he wasn't quite sure where to start.

when you first suggested spending nights in either of your rooms, he didn't see any problems in it. he quickly got used to this routine, and he always expects to see you at his door after dinner time. you mostly only talk about the happenings of the day and your plans for tomorrow.

neither of you initiate sleeping together at the end of the night, but he isn't opposed to it. he's thought about it, of course, but he won't say anything until you say something first.

denki will match your energy in anything. if you want a quiet night, he'll just be by your side as you both scroll through your phones. if you want a more fun night and do something, he'll be up and at 'em as much as you are.

he is the best person to try new things with because he's just as curious as you. if you want to sneak around the kitchen to make up a new snack, he would be your little flashlight to help you out.

he definitely glows a little in the dark, so if you want to sleep with him, you have to cover him completely with a blanket. he jokes that it's because he's the light of your life, and even if that's true to you, you'd never let him know it. he might glow even brighter.

hitoshi has a hard time falling asleep, so he's grateful for your company every night. he usually asks you to come to his room, but if he feels especially awake, he'd go to your room. you mostly just watch movies together until both of you feel sleepy enough to lie down on bed.

the first time you asked to sleep in the same bed, you didn't think it'd be the last time you'd ever have to. sleeping together is a must now. you have no choice, he loves sharing a bed with you. he thinks it's a good thing to have someone warm next to him as he tries to sleep. it's comforting.

fyi, he has one pillow on his bed. just a single one. so... good luck!

neito needs to see you every night. every time, without fail, he will always end up at your door. you don't even need to do anything together, he just wants to be in the same room as you.

he won't sleep with you if you don't want to, but he's always excited when you ask him to. not because he's planning anything malicious, he's just really happy to be so close to you. to hell with the rules, he will stay in your room if it's the last thing he'll do.

he will probably get in trouble for staying in your room more than in his own, but he wouldn't care much for it. you're his partner, so it's worth getting into a little trouble.

Sure the Atua stuff perplexed them a bit, but wanting to appear welcoming they didn’t question it too much.

It was mix bag when it came to academics. There were times where you’d be absent on the account of your god telling you to prepare a tribute of some kind.

Midoriya was not too fond on giving up some of his blood, but you were almost able to get Todoroki to agree.

Momo and Iida try to be respectful but they have a hard time accepting the way you convert try and enlighten people. Iida will interfere when you start getting a little too close for other student’s comfort.

Kaminari is one of the few who (usually) stay after you preach about your god and enjoys showing off some his own drawings. Since Atua favors the boy, he is allowed to watch while you paint. Together both of you were to make some scarily realistic wax figures of some of your classmates.

overhaul knew eri beforehand - the two had worked together before and she was very happy to see him again

sasaki (nighteye) is a lot nicer than his character. he's very nice to newer actors and has a great sense of humour

during the scene where mirio appears in the wall near deku, sasaki couldn't stop laughing and eventually he was asked to leave until they finished filming it, causing everyone else to laugh

tamaki is surprisingly extroverted in real life. he doesn't go out of his way to talk to people but he doesnt mind sending back an order, yk?

jirou and kaminari knew each other from school before the show and became really good friends after the first season

kaminari is scarily smart

momo had a crush on jirou when they first met, but over time it went away

mr compress and twice are terrible with spoilers so they blank out any lines that aren't theirs on their scripts. dabi and toga find this hilarious

kurogiri and shirakumo are played by two different people, and kurogiri has a stunt double. the three of them are very good friends

working with nezu, hagakure and the like is incredibly awkward. Not because they're bad actors, but because it's just a person in a green screen

iida and mei are very close off camera and they hang out a lot, both of them bullying the other's characters

mina has a tiktok series where she bullies the cast when they mess up a line

shigaraki taught deku a lot of what he knows about acting and theatre, and shiggy was always someone he looked up to

hizashi finds his character absolutely hilarious. he often gets embarrassed about the things he says but he still finds it funny

often times you can see tokoyami, komori, and kuroiro making tikoks in the background, though it's only noticeable if you're looking for it

monoma always feels bad about insulting people from 1a and always apologises afterwards

shinsou constantly forgets his lines

one time aoyama was dared to just stare into the camera so he did it and then he kept doing it for laughs and now it's just a habit

it takes ages for aizawa to do a take he likes

endeavour is a really nice guy, but is just that good of an actor that everyone thinks he's mean off camera

hawks used to be a stunt double, so he prefers to do most of his stunts himself

sasaki is very active on social media and defends everyone when they get hate

stain is an absolute dumbass most of the time, and in the scene were he threatens shigaraki he whispered "are we about to kiss?". that also had sasaki howling

eri was very shy at the beginning, and she made most of her friends through the show and came out of her shell a lot

todoroki is very hard to recognise in real life because he doesn't look ANYTHING like his character

natsuo, shoto, enji, rei, fuyumi and touya hang out together in public and send the fans mad

one time, hizashi logged into his account on one of the computers in the ua staff room and started playing minecraft and didn't realise they were recording. nobody noticed until he brought it up in an interview

bakugo is very chill. he often takes members of the cast out for food or drinks (not everyone at once - lord knows)

rei did have to go to the psych ward when she was younger, and was very glad that people in there weren't portrayed offensively

mina loves working on mha, but she hates having to cover herself in bright pink body paint

nejire was a minecraft and genshin streamer and jokingly auditioned. she found out she got the part while streaming. however, she was not allowed to say, because it had a chance of spoiling part of season 3 and 4

nemuri and mitsuki are the moms of the set, and always make sure everyone eats. inko, however, just jokes around with the others and goofs off when she's not in the scene

bakugo calls mitsuki his twitter mom, because she always defends him on social media

eri and kota go to school together, and the kids in the provisional license exam (the second one with camie, bakugo and todoroki) are their classmates

when eri grows older, she's still known as "eri from my hero academia"

He then starts to fidget around, moving like he’s stuck

It wasn’t a big show, or a big stage, but it was your first written play, and seeing it go over so well was enough to bring a tear to your eyes

You joined the audience in standing to applause as the actors took the stage for the final bow

You blinked once, twice, three times before panic set in

There’s no way Yuga Aoyama would miss the chance to stand center stage in a spotlight. If he wasn’t on stage something must have happened

You stepped out of your class stretching, ready for a well deserved lunch break when you heard your classmates muttering

Being nosy wasn’t usually your strong suit, but the mutterings has peaked your interest

You followed the eyes of those speaking to find a blond boy sitting in the floor of the hall, knees pulled to his chest to keep his legs from disrupting the flow of traffic, with his tail resting over his feet to protect them from being stepped on

He smiled and gave a light wave to your class as the dispersed

You alone approached him, curiosity peaking. Why was he sitting out here in the hall?

These questions had answers and he was, while slightly embarrassed, happy to share he had, in fact, been lost all morning. Not just in finding his class, but also in finding the exit to the building, any teachers he knew, or his phone to call for help

You began to feel sorry for the guy, as this seemed to be a common occurrence in his daily life

With a sigh, you offered your hand to help him up

It was lunch, for all courses, so surely he’d see his hero course classmates in the cafeteria. No one turns up Lunchrush’s food after all

You couldn’t initiate holding hands, when he didn’t actively want to be in contact he’d keep his hands shoved deep in his pockets

So you just had to wait for him to wipe himself off and reach for you

You were free to wrap yourself around his arm whenever, though

He’ll look pissed, but won’t say a word

And if you move away, he’ll wipe his hand on his pants, and offer it to you, a silent plea for you to come back

Magic hands

You stretched out over the couch of the 1-B common room with a whine, the rest of your class in a similar state

Training was hell today, sparing with class 1-A was never a joke, and with Monoma egging the whole game up to be more than it should have been, it all just escalated to a point you all wish it hadn’t

“Alright, next.”

Honenuki, a godsend, your blessed angel, helped Tsuburaba off the second common room couch, his typically wide eyes closed and relaxed as he wobbled his way across the room

You happily took his place, stretching out on your stomach before your classmate with the magic powers of massage

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

I am once again going to geek out about Shinsou!!

The first time we see him, he declares war on class 1-A ("Consider this a declaration of war"). The build-up to his name/Quirk reveal is epic and I will always love it, as well as his all-too-knowing smirks, especially this one after the second round of the sports fest:

And I'm heavily referencing @emoshinso's analysis post here in this rant because I love her analyses (this isn't even the best one, so go check them outtttt).

During the Joint Training Arc, Shinsou smiles four times in his match against Midoriya, and none of them are smirks like this one. They're all genuine smiles, mainly because he's having fun fighting with the hero department and because he can finally use his Quirk to help someone. He collaborates well with his class B team, conforming to Monoma's plan and fighting to the best of his ability. Even though he lost that match, it still showed tremendous character development. In Season 2, he's pretty much all alone. He feels isolated from his classmates because they're saying "just don't turn us into your slaves, okay?" and "everyone says that". He feels judged because of his Quirk - which, in a world of superpowers of all kinds, it's super easy to judge someone based on their Quirk - and used that as a way to distance himself from them and throw himself into working to become a hero. In the obstacle race, he literally uses four students to carry him to his victory while none of them moved on to the second round. Now, he's working with people instead of just using them for his gain.

RODY SOUL!!!!!!!!!

Believe me, I love 'Toshi to the ends of the earth, but I've had a hyperfixation on Rody ever since I watched World Heroes Mission. I also may have rewatched it again yesterday "to try to get his dialect down for my next fic" as an excuse to watch it again and enjoy the Rody scenes. His style and demeanor? Sexy af. He's like a mixture of Hawks and Kaminari with a sprinkle of Aladdin just for fun. His sense of humor is exactly the same as mine: dry and sarcastic and witty, but he's also smug and sly. But, underneath that whole street-hardened shell, he truly cares for his siblings and will do anything to ensure that they have a decent life, even if it stalls his own life and dreams and grays his morals. His smiles when he's with them are probably his most genuine smiles, and Pino is always trilling when they're around. You can tell that they look up to him and that he adores them in turn. Of course, I used that against him in my fic For My Family, but that's beside the point. Rody is a fully-fleshed out character by the time he runs into Midoriya, and that's even before he's revealed his backstory.

When he met All Might, he tried to help him. Even gave him his quirk. However, it still didn’t help the broken boy. One day, he met a girl named Y/N while bumping into each other in the hallway. It helped him escape out of his broken life and started to learn more about her. He knows her favorite color, food, drink, the places she goes. The problem is that he has to get rid of the people who are close to her. Which means hurting or killing them. )

Taro Yamada ( Senpai ) - Y/N L/N

( Y/N L/N is a normal girl with a normal life. the problem is that she doesn't know the danger she's in. )

Info Chan - Hitoshi Shinsou

( Hitoshi Shinsou is an unknown student at U.A. who said that he's in general studies who helps Izuku eliminate his victims. I think he's doing this to get revenge on him at the end for probably having All Might's quirk, or taking his spot to be in the hero course. )

Osana Najimi - Katsuki Bakugou

( Katsuki Bakugou is Y/N's childhood friend who blames her for almost everything while walking home and school together. He also has a best friend named Eijiro who basically follows him almost everywhere, so it can be hard for Izuku to eliminate him. The best way to eliminate him is to befriend and betraying him by doing something for him that's a huge problem and in return, he has to get away from Y/N, or other ways. )

Raibaru Fumetsu - Eijiro Kirishima

( Eijiro Kirishima was used to be the club leader of martial arts in middle school until a girl named Mina Ashido beat him in a competition. After that, he quits his club and starts to hang around with his new best friend, Katsuki when he got into U.A. Don't try to challenge him because he can easily beat you. )

Amai Odayaka - Denki Kaminari

( Denki Kaminari is a jester in his class and could act a bit perverted. He met Y/N in town when he saw her sitting by herself. She explains to him that what happened between her and her childhood friend, Katsuki. He comforts her and gives her a biscuit. He loves to make her laugh. The best way to eliminate him is to poison him by putting rat poison in his lunch. )

Kizuna Sunobu - Neito Monoma

( Neito Monoma is that one student who sees himself as the most popular student at U.A. and brags almost everyone about it. Some people find him weird, and some of them find him as a king. He normally invites Y/N to be the role of Juliet for the Romeo and Juliet play his class will be doing at the festival this year. The best way to eliminate him is to crush him while rehearsing without being seen. )

Oka Ruto - Tamaki Amajiki

( Tamaki Amajiki is often really distant from people. He said that Y/N was the only one who showed him light in his heart, saying that he cast a spell on him. The best way to eliminate him is to framing him by saying that he killed someone who bullied him a lot by calling him a "coward".)

Asu Rito - Tenya Iida

( Tenya Iida is the fastest student in his class. He and Y/n are in the same agency, Manual. When Y/n got injured during a patrol, he took care of her. When she recovered, they started to train together. As the class representative, it's his job to keep the students together. The best way to eliminate him is to drown him. )

Muja Kina - Yo Shindo

( Yo Shindo is a student at Ketsubutsu Academy High School. He recently broke up with his girlfriend, Tatami Nakagame. Y/N always comfort him when they first met at Provisional Hero Licensing Exam. He helped her a lot as a team and helped her to recover sometimes as well. The best way to eliminate him is to matchmake Shindo and Tatami back together. )

Mida Rana - Shota Aizawa

( Shota Aizawa is Izuku and Y/N's homeroom teacher. Not only that he's her teacher, but he's also her private tutor. His secret is that he only did this to be with her, even though she has great grades. The best way to eliminate him is to fire him due to having a crush on a high school student. )

Osoro Shidesu - Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu

( Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu is Monoma's classmate. He looks like he can kill someone in a minute like Bakugou, but he has a soft heart for Y/N after he competed against her at the sport's festival. Just like Tenya, he always stayed a bit too close to her because he knows that something might happen to her. The best way to eliminate him is to expel him for school violations he "did". )

( Kota Izumi is Y/N's younger cousin. When class 1a came for the summer training camp, Kota always kept her away from guys. The best way to eliminate him is to kidnap him and force him to stay away from Y/N and never talk to her again, or he'll die. )

( Shoto Todoroki is well known as Endeavor's youngest child. He is smart, strong, and popular. Y/n and his mothers were friends and wanted them to get along and be friends. One day - and not even a whole day, because of travel time and Inko wanted Izuku home for dinner- simply wasn't enough time to master a quirk. Although he could turn Float on and off, now. So, they made plans to come back next week, and the next, up until the sports festival. Which. Wow. Really was only two weeks away.

Izuku had never realized how close to the beginning of the school year it was.

He was going to die.

"You're not going to die," said Mr. Yagi. "I'm not going to say the sports festival isn't important, because it is, it's one of the best ways to make professional connections for students, but not doing well isn't the end of the world, especially not in your first year. No one expects you to be perfectly polished."

"But," said Izuku, "I'm supposed to be the next you! I've got to stand out, right?"

Mr. Yagi looked very guilty. "I... may have given you that impression when we were first training, yes. But, since then, with all my research into the past holders... few of them were popular, flashy heroes. If you want to walk the same path as me, that's great. But you don't have to. Even I didn't really start that chapter of my life until after college."

Izuku looked down at his hands, letting silence fill the space between them as he contemplated Mr. Yagi's words. "This isn't about me manifesting One for All differently, is it?"

"What? No, no of course not, my boy. I mean, it certainly helped me come to this conclusion, I wouldn't have done so much research without it! But I certainly hope I would have come to the same conclusion eventually, even so."

"Okay..." said Izuku, still dubious.

"I mean it," protested Mr. Yagi. "Most of my work is essentially underground, you know. There's a reason the battle trial was what it was."

"H-huh? You? Underground? But you're so recognizable!"

"Am I? I firmly believe in bringing all my resources to bear in the fight against evil! Ha ha!"

His laugh devolved into a cough, and he fumbled for a handkerchief. But he recovered quickly enough.

"I guess that makes sense," said Izuku, cautiously, once he thought Mr. Yagi wasn't going to start coughing again.

"You didn't think I stayed number one by popularity alone, did you?"

"I- the formulas the Hero Commission uses to determine rankings are secret, and it only includes spotlight heroes, so when I extrapolated the hero billboard rankings, yes, I assigned a high weight to popularity. There were always some discrepancies between my predictions and the end results, but I figured I missed some events, or the commission assigned them different values…"

"That's quite impressive, my boy. But, though popularity is a factor, the HPSC does take unpublicized fights and rescues into account. Assuming you report them…"

That was the second time Mr. Yagi had mentioned not telling the commission something.

"Do you, um, do you do that a lot? Not tell the commission things, I mean."

"Eh? No, no, I try to stay up on my paperwork. I get a lot of help from Naomasa, though. Some heroes, especially independent ones, without an agency, do have trouble keeping up, sometimes."

"It's just… the other day you said something about not telling the commission about All for One."

"Ah," said Mr. Yagi. He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel. "You're quite right. How should I put this… The HPSC knows All for One exists, and I have made them generally aware of his modern exploits. I haven't told them about his ability to give quirks, though they may know through other avenues, there are certain battles I've had with him that I haven't told them about, and they do not know about One for All."

“Why not?”

“Villains aren’t the only ones who seek power,” said Mr. Yagi. “The HPSC provides a vital service, and I think what one does matters more than why one does it, but… it is my observation that many of the people there are more concerned with personal power than doing the right thing. And positions of power and authority tend to draw in those who would abuse those things."

"Even heroics?"

"Especially heroics. The HPSC Ethics Review Board is supposed to stop that, but no system is perfect." He shook himself. "But look at me! I was trying to give you a pep talk, not saddle you with doubts about the government!"

Izuku laughed, nervously. "I mean, you've definitely distracted me from the sports festival…"

“Yes. The sports festival. Don’t worry about making a big spotlight combat debut. If you want to focus on rescue, or investigation, or the underground, I’ll support you all the way.” He paused. “You do need combat, though, because, because of-”

“All for One?”

“Yes, exactly. All for One.”

“Way to kill the mood, guys,” said Banjo.

“I think the mood was thoroughly dead already,” said Yoichi.

“Unlike your brother,” said En. “Ninth’s father.”

“Come on, it was just a little omission of information. It wasn’t even a lie!”

“It was definitely a lie. You’re so lucky that my relief about you not being a pedophile eclipsed my righteous fury regarding your mendacity.”

“You know, the fact that you’re delivering that completely deadpan gives me doubts about the fury part.”

“I’m mad at you.”

“You love me.”

“Doesn’t mean I can’t be mad at you.”

“Hey, hey, wait a minute,” said Nana, making a ‘T’ shape with her hands. “Time out. Ninth’s father is All for One.”

“Yes,” said Yoichi, hanging his head, “I thought that had been established.”

“So, are we… What Toshinori is saying is completely valid, by the way… but, are we expecting this kid to fight his father? Is that a thing we’re doing?”

“Uh,” said Yoichi, “in our defense, we did think he was dead.”

“Maybe Eighth will get ‘im before Ninth has to deal with it,” suggested Banjo. “He’s got to have a better chance of that, now what with Fa Jin and all.” He paused. “But, you know what would give Ninth an even better chance, if he does have to fight his deadbeat dad-”

“He’s not a deadbeat,” interrupted Hikage.

“What?”

“Calling him a deadbeat would imply that he is neither supporting the Midoriyas financially nor regularly in contact with them. He is on both counts.”

“What?” squealed Bango.

“Did you miss his phone call with his father immediately following his return home after the USJ attack?”

“Oh,” said Yoichi, “no, I was very aware of my brother’s evil, evil voice. It’s just that these guys were too focused on scolding me to listen to anything I had to say. I still can’t believe he sent someone like that to attack his own son’s class.”

“Didn’t he, like, kill you?” asked En.

“No, my death was largely unrelated. You’ve got to remember, I was a chronically ill fugitive from the law with no money. Who told you that he killed me?”

Everyone looked at their immediate predecessor. Yoichi tracked the path back to Third, who had gone very stiff.

“What the heck, Third? You were there when I died. Why would you tell Hikage that?”

Third did not answer.

“Actually, what did he tell you, Hikage?

“Oh, it was very moving and heroic. It happened while you were saving a busload of metahuman orphans. You sacrificed yourself to let them get away from All for One. I even cried a little.”

“Is it weird that I’m now disappointed in myself for not dying like that?”

“Very,” said Nana.

“What were we talking about before this?” asked En.

“I have no idea,” said Banjo.

Izuku delayed going to class, nervous about everyone's reactions to his quirk. It wasn't that he thought they'd reject him, but more that he had no answers for the inevitable questions.

But he also didn't want to be late.

"Todoroki was so cool!" Hagakure exclaimed as he opened the classroom door. "He was all like, blam, bam, swish! And- and he checked whether or not I was there first, before attacking, which was super cool of him."

Todoroki's expression was halfway between 'statue' and 'help, I've been hit by a truck.' "Cool?"

"Very cool."

"You've grown since the first day, kero."

"Ah! Midoriya!"

All heads turned towards him. In the next second, he was hugged by several people, which was more friendly skin contact than he'd had since… ever, probably.

"Eep," he said.

"We were so worried about you," said Uraraka. "We made a group chat, after, but since you were unconscious…"

"Hm," said Monoma, "your quirk still is definitely a stockpile…"

"Monoma!" shouted Iida. "Did you join this hug just to copy quirks?"

"And what of it?"

"But speaking of quirks," said Jiro, "you can fly now? We kind of went along with it at the time, but that's kind of different from a sensory quirk."

"I know," said Izuku, "and I have no explanation."

"Maybe your quirk stockpiles danger," said Monoma, contemplatively. He rubbed his chin with one finger. "That could be why you can sense danger- you're stockpiling it. Then, when the danger gets over a certain threshold, you can release it as flight… why are you all looking at me like that?"

"Oh, nothing," drawled Kaminari. "Just that you're more thoughtful than you look, pretty boy."

"I don't want to hear that from you."

"Th-thank you, Monoma! I'll have to mention it when I go to quirk counseling next."

Which may or may not be this afternoon, depending on how Mr. Aizawa felt and- His head snapped to the door. "Mr. Aizawa's coming!"

They all rushed to their seats. The door creaked open.

"Oh my gosh, he's a mummy."

"Iida?"

"What is it, Midoriya?"

They were having a bit of a break during English while Present Mic cycled them through for short sessions with Hound Dog.

"I didn't have a chance to ask you earlier, but how's your brother?"

“He’s alright! It’s the first really major injury of his career, so he’s going to take it easy for the rest of the month, to make sure his engines heal properly. He’d prefer not to of course, but, ah, there is a silver lining.”

“That’s good,” said Izuku, encouragingly.

“I really shouldn’t be happy about it,” said Iida, rubbing the back of his neck, “but he’ll be able to come see me during the sports festival, and he probably would have been too busy if he were active.”

“I think it’s okay to be happy about good things, even if they happen because of bad things,” said Izuku. “It isn’t like we can go back and make the bad things not happen, after all…”

“That’s very true, Midoriya! What a mature way of thinking about things.”

Izuku didn’t know about that, but he was willing to take the compliment.

“Midoriya,” said Shouta, who was absolutely and unquestionably recovered enough to teach. Even if he had zoned out in the corner of the room in his sleeping bag all morning rather than trekking back to the teacher’s lounge… or teaching any of his other classes… shut up. “What are you doing at the window?”

“O-oh. Mr. Aizawa. I didn’t know you were awake?”

It was, maybe, a little unfair to single Midoriya out like that, since the entire class was standing by the window, and the way Uraraka, Sero, and Midoriya were closest to it, with Monoma a close fourth, was concerning, but Midoriya was the first one Shouta saw, and the one most likely to to cave and tell him what was going on.

“Midoriya.”

“R-right. Well, going out the door seems a little unpleasant today, so we thought we’d switch it up?”

What did that even mean?

“We were going to bring you with us, of course,” continued Midoriya.

What did that even mean?

“Out the window.”

“Um. Yes.”

“What kind of unpleasant are we talking about?”

“Battle trial unpleasant?”

Shouta groaned and hauled himself up, walking over to the door. He looked out the window and made note of all the students from other classes standing out there, circling like sharks. Great. Maybe they needed to have an assembly about respecting boundaries or whatever, especially if the people whose boundaries were being crossed were potentially traumatized.

Something to bring up at the next staff meeting he attended. Which… would probably not be soon.

Anyway.

He opened the door.

(“A mummy,” whispered someone.)

(First his kids, then these kids… he wasn’t that wrapped up.)

(Was he?)

“What are you all doing here?” he asked, voice rasping rather more than he wanted it to.

The students didn’t seem inclined to answer. Someone did mutter something about the sports festival, but it was far from the complete answer that Aizawa wanted.

“Right. Whatever. Scoping out the competition is one thing, but you are aware that class 1-A is recovering from a traumatic experience. And you’re blocking traffic. Clear off.”

The crowd slowly dispersed. Shouta sighed. He knew this would only be the first of many such incidents. He made a note to talk to Nemuri about whether or not she’d be willing to donate some of her class time to talk about public relations.

“You know,” said Nemuri, “if you actually rested, Recovery Girl would be able to heal you.”

“I know nothing of the sort,” said Shouta, glaring at his desk in the staff room. “I’m forgetting something.”

All Might walked in. “Er, young Aizawa,” he said. He paused for a painfully long, awkward moment. “Are you still meeting with young Midoriya today?”

“Crap.”

Did Izuku expect Mr. Aizawa to come to their meeting? No. The man had casts on all of his limbs. But, he hadn’t cancelled it either. So, better safe than sorry, right?

Aizawa collapsed into the seat behind the teacher's desk. “To be short, this quirk, One for All or whatever, is complete nonsense.”

“Uh,” said Mr. Yagi. “Sorry?”

“Sorry,” whispered Izuku.

“You should be. Not you, Midoriya. You’re fine.”

“Okay?”

“Right. So. You’ve got two quirks right now. Danger Sense and Float. Unless something else showed up over the weekend?”

“No, it’s, um, it is just those two right now.”

“And you’ll most likely get Smokescreen, Blackwhip, and that strength enhancement eventually. Plus two mystery quirks.”

“That is what I’ve been able to find out,” said Mr. Yagi.

“So, we have to figure out some way to get all those under a coherent umbrella that can account for the mystery quirks, and before the sports festival, so the evil immortal supervillain doesn’t notice that you have quirks just like a bunch of people he had personal beef with.”

Mr. Yagi cursed in English. “I hadn’t thought about that.”

“Yeah, I wonder what else you haven’t thought about. Maybe this year I can get Nezu to take my suggestion about doing hero names before the sports festival seriously. You know we’ve had people stalk students before because for some godforsaken reason we use their real names? I need a drink.”

“Ah, water?”

“No.”

“Young Aizawa, you’re a teacher…”

“A career choice I question daily. Midoriya, do you have any thoughts about how to make your quirk make sense in a way that won’t get you killed or abducted by the HPSC?”

“I- Does that happen?” despite his conversation with Mr. Yagi over the weekend, he still had generally positive thoughts about the hero commission.

“I have no idea. Wouldn’t put it past them.”

“Well, um, I was talking to Monoma earlier, and he said something about stockpiling danger, and how it might let out the stockpile as the energy necessary to levitate- which, really, would be a fascinating quirk if it did work that way- but I thought it might also work for Smokescreen and the strength enhancement? I mean, general responses to danger are fight, flight, or hide, so the strength enhancement is fight, Float is flight, and Smokescreen would be hide…”

“That might work. What about Blackwhip.”

“Yeah, that one has kind of stumped me.”

“Blackwhip sure is a problem,” agreed Mr. Aizawa.

"What if he's going to die?" asked Hikage, raising his hand.

"He already got your quirk, why do you care?"

"We'd like to hear it," said Banjo, somewhat forcefully.

"Well, if he looks like he's going to die, do whatever you can to stop that from happening, I guess. But chucking a quirk he doesn't know how to use isn't always going to be the beat answer."

"Wait," said Nana. "Hold up a second. A few days ago we were talking about the potential for multiple quirk brain damage, weren't we?"

"Oh, good catch," said Yoichi. "I guess I forgot to mention it, which means Nana is the only one I'd trust babysitting my nephew in the event a quirk rewound him to elementary school age-"

"That is a suspiciously specific scenario," said En.

"-and all the rest of you are fired. You didn't even question giving him more quirks? Really?"

Hikage raised his hand. "I assumed you had discovered that Ninth had a constitution capable of handling multiple quirks, similar to yourself and your brother."

"That is true. Okay, Hikage would be another exception, but he's disqualified from babysitting for other reasons."

"That's fair."

"Yeah," said Mr. Aizawa. "Honestly, even really dumb ideas would be welcome right now."

There was only one creature Izuku could think of that could do all the things Izuku one day might be able to while maintaining room for the two mystery quirks. "Cthulhu."

Mr. Yagi looked mildly scandalized at the suggestion.

"Nah, it'd have to be something like eldritch. Cthulhu's trademarked in Japan, and that can give you aboveground types trouble."

"What is it a trademark for?" asked Mr. Yagi.

"Ask Midnight. I don't want to talk about it."

"Ah," said Mr. Yagi.

"The problem with that is that you currently have no justification to call it that. Now if you already had Smokescreen…"

The adults looked at him.

"... I don't think it's going to just show up like that," said Izuku.

"Well, first off, I live for drama, so jot that down."

Midoriya, make sure you check him when he’s done. For now, we’ve got to come up with a name.”

“Um,” said Izuku. “Float’s the only one that’s really visible, so I could just call it Float?”

“Vetoed. You aren’t picking a name that the immortal supervillain knows.”

“He did seem to only refer to people by quirks unless he really hated them,” said Mr. Yagi. “Except his brother, who he always called ‘my foolish brother.’”

“Focus on the paperwork.”

“And he called himself by his quirk name as well,” mused Izuku. “Do you think it was a side effect? Quirks have document impact on people’s personalities-”

“Focus.”

“R-right. Um. Feather Fall? No, that’s part of a game. Flight Reflex?”

But wow, WOW, what a chapter to return to

For one, I love how we finally see how smart Principal Nezu really is. His intelligence as been alluded to multiple times, and heck, his quirk is literally being super duper smart, but so far it feels like UA’s safety system has been overstated, what with being broached by villains twice, but consider that nobody actually broke into UA? It was always in a separate facility.

And nice, this cute rodent set up such an intricate system based off his intuition! What a chad

Nezu just feels so reliable, somehow it feels we can’t go wrong when he’s involved. I also love how he didn’t wait for all the admin stuff and went right ahead to pay out of his pocket, really shows how much he cares for his students, and also what a incredible person he is in this world.

Like oh my god?!! And it totally makes sense he’s a major contributor to quirk morality, as a literal lab rat that we’ve seen holds memories of the way he’s been treated before.

Honestly kaminari is so perfect, he’s just me this entire chapter

Eri! And Monoma. These two got close when practicing with her quirk, that’s cute. Everyone likes to put together Shinsou and Eri, though I don’t think they acc ever interact in canon. Not that I hate Shinsou-Eri sibling life, but just saying Monoma’s got the older brother role down pat too =￣ω￣=

Kota! And Ragdoll. Is she still quirkless? Eri could technically reverse that, right?

Bakugou says it himself, they’re all here to step up when Midoirya can’t by himself. Surpassing All Might isn’t just Midoirya’s duty, but the duty of all of Class A, and the rest of the future generation of heroes.

sero hanta headcanons for the soul

- asexual, pan-romantic!

- uses they/he pronouns (didn’t know they could have different pronouns until he met tokoyami, and they spent their entire first year having a crisis over it)

- i know it’s old and overused but this kid is a hufflepuff, through and through

- CHILD OF APHRODITE. i take no criticism.

- a heartthrob among his entire grade, not just class A, but B as well, and the general course, and the business course,, AND the support course. everyone loves sero hanta.

- a natural charmer but is literally not aware that they make everyone within a 400 meter radius of them swoon

- until kaminari tells him in their second year. homie. youre fucking hot. and mina says, use it to your advantage. SO HE DOES.

- third year sero hanta is a force to be reckoned with, let me tell you. using their charm along with their natural ability to just. Befriend anyone (including a brick WALL tbh) to get his way. they get their way, they Know Everything. everyone knows his name by the time he graduates.

- The Older Sibling friend. not quite the mom friend or even the dad friend, but the older sibling. he’s a constant source of comfort and dependability among his class, but theyre also an agent of chaos that likes to cause problems On Purpose just to see what’ll happen. they never get caught being the instigator tho. no one can ever catch him.

- likes to watch aforementioned chaos from the sidelines. a mediator and an excellent negotiator. keeps his friends (cough, bakugo) from murdering each other or other people (cough, monoma)

- i like to think he’s the eldest child with two or three younger sisters and maybe a baby brother. their parents divorced right before sero started high school, and he and his siblings live with their mom. she’s a real lovely lady.

- since he’s the eldest, he kinda knows how to take care of people. sick people, sad people, hungry people. they can read and understand people really well if they really matter to him.

- most of the time there’s just wii music in their head tho

- they weren’t super great at prioritizing themselves/taking care of themselves when he first moved in to the dorms, but with time and help from his friends, they keep getting better at it

- sero gets his looks from his dad and his attitude from his mother. again, i imagine she’s a real lovely lady.

- their love language is physical touch! with so many younger siblings and his natural Eldest Sibling Vibe, it’s only natural for him to be super cuddly and affectionate!

- his favorite color is yellow, but they also really, really like red.

- doesn’t have a fucking phone case on their phone.

- earbuds falling apart but he just keeps putting more tape over them because they really don’t wanna buy new ones (kirishima bought him a pair for christmas because he didn’t want sero to get electrocuted from broken earbuds. sero ensured him he would likely not get electrocuted just from some earbuds, but took the gift anyway)

Hello I just want to list bnha characters that would have such interesting plots if they were main characters:

(These aren’t in any specific order)

Bakugou, obviously.

The actual underdog story with a twist; gifted kid syndrome. He’s relatable, he has no strong support system besides Kiri, no overpowered mentor (no mentor at all, really), most people regard him as a villain and treat him as such

His character development

His story could revolve around said character development. It could deal with trauma and address how society fails its children. He can learn how to let others in and trust others to have his back. It could also be a great story on staying true to yourself yet still being able to grow. I could go on and on but I’ll stop there.

Maybe we’ll finally get information on his life

Uraraka

Her reason for becoming the hero is the most unique; its selfless yet selfish. She wants to make money to help her family

Her story could start off with her feeling jaded about hero society, seeing them flaunt their wealth yet there’s still so many people struggling. It’s the fastest way for her to make money, though, and she hates it but she loves her family more. Throughout the story, her goal shifts from just making money to help her family to helping those in need, and she tries to use her status to make a difference no matter how small.

Iida

He’s a part of a hero family

The entire story could be about him finding his own identity and not feeling obligated by blood. He could even choose not to be a hero at the end! A lesson on self discovery and familial pressures

Monoma

His quirk is copying others

Like Iida, his story could focus on finding his own identity and he could have to deal with imposter syndrome. I’m thinking lots of mental illness in this one that he hides behind false bravado. It could also deal with how society looks at you for your quirk, but when his quirk is just taking others’ quirks, what does that say about him?

Aizawa

Ignoring his tragic backstory that could make a good plot in and of itself

Like monoma, his quirk relates to other peoples’ quirks. Instead of “I take others’ so who am I?” It could be “I take away something that makes people who they are. What does that say about me?”

It’d probably have to take place in middle school/high school bc I can’t see adult Aizawa having this hang up

Or if you wanna use current Aizawa, then you could go the “repressed trauma” route that’s related to his quirk, his tragic backstory, and the things he’s had to witness as an underground hero

Tsukauchi

Acab but he’s a detective so I’m still doing this. Watch out for cop propaganda

His story could deal with morality and corruption. Morality in using his quirk on people, corruption in the general sense of the government/police. Also about things he’s had to witness while doing his job

Tsuyu

She’s the eldest out of her siblings

Could focus on that. The fact that she had to grow up early. Learning that she can’t be a hero for everybody, having to address the trauma of being a parent to her siblings and having to be responsible 24/7. Learning how to let others help her

Her “bluntness” (yall she would be considered rude if she said what she said in a voice that wasn’t monotone but I digress) could be her repressing emotions bc she has to focus on her siblings

Idk where the hero aspect would come into her story though. Maybe with her learning to trust others to take the reigns once in a while

Sato/Tetsu/Kiri

Dealing with not being unique bc there are many others with quirks like them. Identity themes. Learning how to accept yourself and not compare yourself to others. Working together and thinking that you’re all the same but learning that you’re different. That stuff

Tokoyami

Mental illness. He literally has another person living in side of him. He’s not 100% okay.

He could focus on being scared of himself, having others be scared of him. Not being able to trust his control. Never being able to truly be alone.

Making peace with the darkness inside and all that

Okay speed run time! (Bc I don’t have as much to say abt these characters):

Everyone with a mutant quirk/Shinsou/the LOV -> discrimination/self-acceptance/problems with society

Todoroki Family -> trauma, abuse, things not being all black and white

Hagakure -> being invisible, self-acceptance, self-esteem, etc

Kaminari -> mental disabilities, not being cookie-cutter smart, proving ppl wrong not for them but for yourself

Vlad King -> morality given the fact that he could control the blood of both himself and others

All Might -> hero complex, not being able to save everyone, problems with hero society and the fact that the weight of the world rests on one man’s shoulders, being a good person at heart but hurting others, loneliness

Wash -> They’re a washing machine. That’s enough of a reason.

Inko -> single mother, not wanting to be the reason why your kid can’t achieve his dreams after so long but also being extremely worried for his life, how the people meant to keep others safe can’t always do that (both in relation to her and the heroes)

The most interesting plots would be the ones revealing how terrible hero society actually is. A nice dystopian plot but it’s not revealed to be dystopian until the characters find out more (or bc they were exposed to it from the start but they’re powerless to do anything and have to watch others continue to see with rose-colored lenses). Bakugou is the one I’d be most invested in because he’s my favorite character, obviously. Tokoyami’s would also be rad. All Might’s, too.

Deku’s story would be interesting if he actually faced real consequences, didn’t think lesser of others (in his own deku way), had actual character development, didn’t have all his powers handed to him, and was just more interesting. He’s not annoying but the way he’s written and the way the narrative is written to always make him right is annoying. Hopefully this gets better in the manga, but I’m not gonna hold my breath. I don’t like the direction the story has taken right now, so I’m just gonna look at spoilers when they come and wait to read when Bakugou comes back XD

BNHA characters and their genshin experiences

I've been way into genshin for the past couple months, if anyone wants to play with me message me (I'm lvl 45 rn) but be warned I have shitty internet and am a partial razor main

but this is mainly characters I can see actually putting time into genshin

Bakugou

Mains: Yanfei

his main has probably been most every pyro character at some point

he wants diluc so bad, whenever someone else complains that diluc ruined their pity he wants to ruin their existence

before yanfei his main was probably hu Tao

hed definitely play klee if he had her lmao but he doesnt and is patiently waiting for her rerun

he has a lot of 5 star characters and is f2p, he can always get banner characters within at least the first pity, but for standard 5 stars hes gotten keqing and qiqi way too many times and hes livid

especially as a previous hu tao main, he was begging for Jean, still has yet to come home

hes probably a very high level, not fully maxed out considering he hasnt been playing all that long, he was probably forced to start when the rest of the bakusquad started playing it and he just took off

has really shitty artifact luck though, like his characters arent bad or anything but they could be so, so much better

and ugh hes livid

explores everything, has 100% exploration everywhere, but hes not bored hes still got artifact farming to do and he enjoys terrorizing enemies

in co op he will set you and everything around you on fire. cope.

Todoroki

Mains: Xiao or Ganyu

probably only started playing because Izuku asked him to

kaeya has also been on his team since day 1 and he is never leaving doesnt matter his friendship has been level 10 for weeks now who cares

was f2p until xiao, who didnt want to come home at all, and he finally got him on his 180th pull

now he doesnt care and will buy primogems whenever hes bored

he has a lot of constellations on kaeya and hes so proud of that, probably c4, is considering buying way too many primogems just so that he can hopefully get his c6

now his artifact luck is godly, you'll go into a domain with him and be like ugh I got nothing and hes like I got a 4 piece set with all attack or crit rate/damage main stats like haha I hate you

but yeah his characters are very strong cause of this, but he doesnt put effort into building a lot of them, he only levels up and gives good artifacts to his team and a couple other characters he likes but everyone else just sits there for a while

hes not super obsessed with the game, but he does think its funny seeing bakugou get so upset whenever they do domains together

doesnt even bother doing daily tasks really unless hes trying to save primogems

Midoriya

Mains: Venti

hes so good at building characters, like he looks up builds online and watches those "do INSANE damage with these tips" videos - and he sets out to get them done and he does

bakugou is once again livid whenever they play together, because Izuku barely has to try and can do so much more damage than him

he does have to put in a lot of work for his artifacts though because he doesnt settle for the okay ones he needs the absolute best

he builds his favorite characters the most ofc, but he evenly distributes things to other characters he knows can be useful- those characters might not have insane stats but they're still good

will not kill timmies pigeons, hell hunt birds in the wild for fun though

definitely a food hoarder

also does a lot of exploring and probably has at least 90% for each area

Kaminari

Mains: Lisa

he is 1000% in love with Lisa, he took her quest very seriously

and so many people say shes horrible, he hates it, hes made her crazy strong out of spite

his team consists of only his wifus- meaning lisa, beidou, rosaria, and mona

for a long time beidou was his second but then rosaria came along and hes like ugh big tiddy goth gf, but lisa still remains queen

these are the only characters hes built though, save for a couple like probably razor and xiangling that he used before he fully got this team

is an ayaka saver

he doesnt care too much about most 5 stars but will sometimes get them just to say he has them, but they end up just sitting there rotting away because he never puts work into them

he does have hu tao though and would get ganyu if she ever had a rerun

Kirishima

Mains: Diluc Razor or Beidou

they're all on his team, the last person switches out but it's most likely zhongli or childe

hes all about dps, support who, he just wants to hit hard and do insane damage , so yes he made dps zhongli

except his builds arent that great, with some help his builds are decent, but on his own hell be like ugh that's some sexy 300 damage

probably didnt know what 90% of the stats even meant and just put random attack ones on people and went yeah that looks good

doesnt really care though and is just having fun so hell play how he wants (as he should) but he does have to ask for help when farming bosses

loves exploring but misses so much, hell get distracted easily and end up just messing around

honestly probably hasnt bothered to ascend his world since he got to level 35, if he did the quest hed probably go straight to 45 and even then hed still have extra exp because hes been there for so long oml

but eventually he would have to and hed be trying to do it like :,) this is fine and it takes him a lot of tries but he gets there eventually,,, only to immediately have another one waiting for him poor baby

Mina

Mains: Klee or Xiangling

hes a pretty casual player, kinda only plays when hes bored or the others make him play with them

but his stats arent too bad, they're fairly average but he gets by

has so many primogems because he doesnt bother to wish on anyone, probably wants kazuha though

he does get super invested into the story though, hes so curious about the world and where the story is gonna lead

probably watches a lot of genshin theory videos and now he over thinks everything in the game

he explores a lot, not so much to find every single thing but more so just because he likes looking at everything, hes very excited for all the new places

Shinsou

Mains: Childe

hes a very thorough player, he explores a lot and puts a lot of work into building his characters

most of them arent all that great but he has plans to fix them

his main team is very well built, not the best, but still good

he struggles when he has to switch someone out for a domain or something because his other characters are so painfully mediocre right now and he feels so bad

shinsou, playing a character that can do like max 200 physical damage and biggest damage is like 2 thousand, repeatedly saying I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you deserve so much better, I'm so sorry

even if it's not the worst damage by far, he feels bad about anything under his main team's stats because they're just so much higher

broke. has no primogems. spent them all on childe and his constellations. does he regret it? well he sure does appreciate his c6 so- hell manage

yes he spent real money on his stupid mass murderer who he loves very much

fights childe every day even though he already collected the treasure, he is but a humble simp

probably decently lucky with wishing like he can beat the 50/50 almost every time

Tamaki

Mains: Chongyun and Sucrose

he only started playing recently, probably kirishima got him into it, but he immediately fell in love

kirishima was like tell me when you're level 16 so we can play together !!! and 2 days later tamaki was level 16 and kiri was shook because how the hell did he do it so fast

hates domains, the dread he feels when he realizes the lower level isnt going to give him anything anymore, and he has to move up to the next, and the next,,

asks kirishima to help him only to realize he isnt much help, is too nice to say that so he let's kiri keep trying- one day kiri gets deku to play with the two of them and tamaki almost cries because finally he can get through the level 90 domain and actually get things ugh

cannot get xingqui to save his life he refuses to come home and poor tamaki is so sad he wants him a lot hes even got all his materials saved up

Monoma

Mains: Ningguang

honestly doesnt play all that much but takes pride in making his account seem v good, is a whale

but hes very good at the game, didnt know what the artifacts were for at first and gave people ones based on how they looked but once he figured it out hes fixed them

is a very standard player, logs in every day to do his commissions and use his resin then logs out, he doesnt put too much time into the game and doesnt worry if he misses a day or two

worships ningguang, also really likes xinyan, his other team members are probably venti and albedo

has every single banner 5 star that has come out since he started playing, probably doesnt have klee though and is v upset about it, and is thanking the heavens for all the reruns lately

also doesnt have keqing and wants her a lot cause he likes her

accepts every single co op request he gets, and despite what a lot may think hes actually a very nice person to play with, not toxic at all - unless you're someone he knows then he might be mean to you shshshsh

Shigaraki

Mains: Razor

haha isnt it so odd that they sound so similar haha (if you dont know they have the same japanese va and I'm guessing hed play it in Japanese)

obviously he can be kinda busy ya know being a criminal and all that but when hes not he puts a lot of time into genshin

sadly doesnt have very good luck when it comes to characters or artifacts, but hes doing his best even with 0 primogems and his 50% crit rate

doesnt explore all that much, most of the exploring hes done came from him trying to get all the oculus

his razor is so good though, except that's the only character hes put tons of effort into

except for now zhongli, hes not replacing razor but ugh does he love zhongli

but his other characters are pretty mediocre at best, he could build them if he wanted to, hes good enough at gaming to figure it out, he just doesnt have the time to spend to do it so he focuses on his main team

also (spoiler alert kinda) when we had to go to the wolf spirit to fight the abyss herald and razor was there, afterwards how razor was saying how he was too weak and stuff and was super sad, at that very moment shiggy decided the entire abyss order had to be destroyed - sorry aether (he chose lumine) but razor is more important than you

↮ that his opinion does matter. okay— it’s not like you handed his confidence to him, no that’s different. but, you are a main contributor to the sudden increase of confidence in himself. before, he was just so used to be brushed aside, other people being told to ignore him whenever he does this, and for his rambles to be ignored like white noise— but after you showed up and spent some time with him, he realizes that it’s not the end of the world if he does ramble, and it’s not the end of the world to not be confident about your opinions 100% of the time, but what does matter is that his opinion was heard. which ultimately lead to him being more confident in expressing his own opinions, not caring if it’s apart of the vase majority, or the minority. he’ll forever love you for this.

todoroki shouto

↮ that taking your time isn’t abnormal. shouto, being someone that had little to no set example of what romance is, and being exposed to romance comedies, and tv shows— made him realize something. that people were already kissing on the first date, and he felt well,, under developed because of it. he was never the biggest fan of physical touch, it’s not to say that he never wanted to kiss you, he always does want to, but— he won’t just kiss you just because it’s the first date, or because the movies said so, even as much as he wanted to, no. that’s not what he wanted. he felt worried that he was moving too slowly, compared to the examples he’s seen online but— you say things differently. you allowed him to take his time, showing him patience as you peck him on his temples, and he couldn’t be more grateful to love someone like you.

bakugou katsuki

↮ that being vunerable isn’t a bad idea. you’re even aware of the many few boundaries katsuki has set up for himself— like no pda. which, you’re perfectly fine with, but katsuki hated the idea of being vunerable because well,, people shoved him onto this pedestal at a very young age, he’s thee bakugou katsuki, there’s no room for vulnerability (or so he thinks) besides all might and deku, you’re really the only one that has seen the vulnerable bakugou katsuki, not the loud and explosive one everyone is used to. he was repulsed by the idea, but after the first time he allowed himself to cry on your lap, shedding tears as he trembles in your caring embrace— he realized that he has someone, and that someone wouldn’t care for the world if he wasn’t this big and strong person 24/7. he won’t say it out loud, but he’s incredibly thankful

kaminari denki

↮ that people do take him seriously. nearly everyone sees this man as this.. class clown, goof ball, and that he’s ‘stupid’ or he’s ‘lacking braincells’ most of the time, and that’s all they make him out to be. denki doesn’t like drowning in self pity, but he can’t help it, why doesn’t anyone take him seriously? but wait, that’s when you come along. it was heartbreaking to say the least when you saw how shocked he was when you wanted to hear his plans and ideas. to anyone else, it might appear to be the bare minimum, but it’s everything to denki. to be taken seriously when the time says so, to be treated like the next person with ambitions. sure, he loves being a jokester, he loves making people laugh, but he can’t bite back the smile, when he sees you worry about him after every short circuit, and kiss him on the cheek whenever he comes back to his senses.

shinsou hitoshi

↮ that not everyone’s opinion is valid. okay hear me out, that might be considered a bad thing, but it’s really not. in fact, it’s a good thing. hitoshi’s just used to hearing sugar coated and backhanded compliments being thrown his way, people saying that “you’d be a good villain, at least!” but, he doesn’t want to be a villain. sometimes they’re not even backhanded, and he’s just used to accepting it as it is. because, everyone has been thinking that way, since well— he first manifested his quirk. but that’s when you come along, and blow away his expectations. you weren’t afraid to tell him the truth, that he shouldn’t have allowed all of them to insult him like that, since he deserved all of the good that was in the world. that wasn’t the part that stuck out the most, but it was the part where you told him that it’s the intent that mattered, and who cares if his quirk seems villainous, as long as he meant well? for once in his life, he stopped paying attention to the senseless comments, and focused on what really mattered— you.

kirishima eijirou

↮ that you don’t need a flashy quirk to be honorable. his quirk, while it took some time for it to be in the state that it is today, it has always been an insecurity of his, not that he’d admit that. that he can’t create big explosions or large glaciers of ice like bakugou or todoroki, or he can’t create whatever he desired like yaoyorozu, he just felt,, plain sometimes. which was something he never voiced out in such a blunt manner before, since he always presented himself as this cheery dude that’s always ready for the occasion. it might be easy, he probably curses at himself for being under your spell a little bit too easily, but he feels great whenever you praise him for his hard work, and especially his quirk. even when the insecurity slips out by accident, and when you’re questioned if you really meant that, you stay true to your statement, and that was an eye opener.

amajiki tamaki

↮ that there are other ways of being strong. look, it’s not like tamaki’s quirk is weak— in fact, it’s the very opposite, but his self esteem, and the absence of a sociable personality does take a toll on him sometimes. he feels like he can’t do anything right, especially when he mutters, messes up on what he wants to say, more importantly when he has an idea on what to say. he feels helpless, compared to the other two strong personalities of UA’s big three. and that’s why, you’ve showed him that shyness is completely normal and fine, and it’s not just him that struggles with socializing— and besides, tamaki does have other strong points, like his ability to be considerate with his actions, and his carefully selected words of affirmation whenever he sits next to you on a date. tamaki might be socially uh.. weak sometimes, but he’s come to realize that it’s fine, since he has other strong parts!

monoma neito

↮ that he won’t be forgotten, and also— that being nice to class 1-A doesn’t sound that bad. come to think of it, neito DOES have a nice side in him, but it’s just not exposed to class 1-A for several different reasons (that are layered) when he was younger, he was told that his quirk wasn’t that spectacular, people have underestimated his quirk a lot. not because it’s ‘boring’ but because it just ‘copies other quirks,’ and has no individual attributes. thus, lead neito to act out as an attempt to stand out and not be ‘boring.’ in reality, neito doesn’t realize that he’s anything close to that, and that he can be remembered in the best ways. like, when you first saw his room, and it was covered in pastels, and whenever he sees you, the first thing he says is a compliment. who would’ve guessed it from him? and most importantly, when he is nice to class 1-A, he finds himself laughing at amusement— and he thinks ‘hey! this,, isn’t bad.’ it’s a slowburn for him to finally act like how he is with his class but hey, process!

dabi todoroki touya

↮ that he needs someone. how ironic, a villain— needing someone, and all for what? just to be abandoned for someone better? no thanks. you didn’t actually shove it in his face for him to realize it but, you did contribute to it. his staples were starting to falling off again after another gruesome mission, dabi didn’t feel like plucking them out himself, but he knows that he has to— he went to go pick them off, until, you come in. a stapler in your hand, as you practically make him sit tightly as you replaced the staples. it stings, not that he’ll ever admit that, he’ll just stick to making fun at you in such dabi fashion. but ugh, there’s that warmth again everytime he looks at you. it’s not the cruel burn, similar to his quirk— but it’s,, gentle. it makes him want to disembowel himself, but he doesn’t mind it when you touch the cool metal. just,, get out of his face before he decides to flame you, all just because he learned that he needs someone (he won’t actually flame you but ugh, he’s still dealing with that kind of warmth you’re making him feel)

My Hero Students Marching Band AU

Leaders

Band director: All Might! all might lives being involved with students and being the band director allows him to interact closely with the largest group in UA. he’s not super strict but he still strives for perfection

Drill writer: Aizawa! hizashi pressured him into helping out with the band so he chose to do the part of it that would require the bare minimum while still being a part. he still comes to games of course!

Guard instructor: Yamada! he has so much energy and he needs to channel that into constant exercise by creating his perfect choreography. super close with all the guard kids they know so much about him

Drum Majors: Iida and Yaoyorozu! as the class leaders it’s only natural that they both ended up as drum majors. they’re both great at conveying instructions and still caring about the people they’re leading

Pit

Marimba: Monoma! monoma needs to be the center of attention so of course he would gravitate towards the instrument that is literally in the center of the field. also thinks he’s better than everyone because he doesn’t have to march

Synthesizer: Tokoyami! the synth just sounds so dark and edgy it fits tokoyami perfectly. (he also can’t play anything besides percussion because of his beak lol awkward)

Bells: Nejire! she loves the pretty sound they make and she cannot remember drill for the life of her so it’s probably best that she stay still

Sound effects: Mina! she loves the bass drum so much. all night has to constantly tell her to calm down cuse she is banging the shit out of that thing

Guard

Color guard: Aoyama and Shoji! Aoyama, like monoma, loves to be the center of attention so of course he’s the one swinging around something colorful and most likely shiny. as for shoji, he was just built for color guard. man can spin like three rifles at once mic loves him

Battery

Bass drum: Mirio and Ojiro! ojiro likes being able to use his tail as a mallet that’s really the only reason he became a bass drum. mirio thinks that the drums make such a big impact on the show and that’s why he likes them so much

Snare drum: Bakugou and Kirishima! they both think that the drums are very manly and prefer to make more noise rather than louder noise. bakugou is def the section leader and his duts are so loud it’s pretty obnoxious

Brass

Baritone: Jirou! she prefers the more subtle notes that really bring the show together

Mellophone: Midoriya! in all honesty, he found the smallest section and joined them. he’s always encouraging his teammates and says that they’re still important even if they’re small

Trumpet: Kaminari! were you really expecting anything else? kaminari found the most annoying and loud instrument in the band and played the shit out of it

Trombone: Sato! idk i just feel like with his lips and build this man just really has the power to blow some air into that thing

Tuba: Sero! kind of like kaminari sero really just wanted to find the instrument that would get on bakugous nerves the most

Woodwinds

Flute: Tamaki, Koda and Todoroki! these are our quiet boys so they tend to go for the quiet instruments. they all have the delicate necessities to play the gentle instrument

Sax: Hagakure and Mineta! they both just think it looks cool

Clarinet: Tsuyu! she knew she wanted to be a woodwind but in no world would she be in the same section as mineta and i’m pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to play the flute with her tongue
