DannyMay day 7- Space
A quick drabble about space obsession Danny bc I think space, heat death, existentialism, and otherwise is super cool.
CW for existentialism and discussion of long future space bullshit.
"It's a little sad, isn't it?"
Danny turned to face Jazz with a froen. They'd both sat together in silence for the last half hour. Their attention focused on the sky above them.
"What's sad, Jazz? The fact you can't watch your lecture without power?" he asked before he turned back to the sky.
It was pristinely clear tonight, the stars vividly bright against the inky black void before them. It was a rare sight- the sky's beauty untouched by light pollution due to an unexpected summer blackout. Even though they were sweaty and miserable, Danny looked up at the infinite and counted his blessings.
"Ha ha, very funny Danny." Jazz rolled her eyes. "No, not the power outage. It has to do with the skies, space stuff."
Danny perked up and Jazz laughed as his eyes flashed at the mention of his Obsession. "What about space is sad? Like I didn't think you'd pay attention to that sort of thing."
"Well, I normally don't, but I saw an article that piqued my interest while studying." Jazz made an effort to look back up at the sky. "It's beautiful, but just a little sad to think that we're looking at stars that are long dead, thousands of years into the past."
"Why would that be sad? We can still see them- they're still here for us to appreciate!" Danny paid full attention to his sister's face and words- she was finally speaking his language and he had to stop himself from interrupting, but it was too hard. "It's kinda like ghosts I think?"
"Oh? Like... the sky is a graveyard of dead stars we can still see? Like that?" Jazz asked.
"No, it's more like everything in the sky a ghost. The night sky is a documentary we're watching years after the fact. Like yeah the stars we can see are billions of light years dead- you said thousands and man that was low balling it- but it's kind of comforting to know these things are here for us to see during our lives.
"Like, we'll never be able to leave our local group let alone the Milky Way without magic, pretty much, but that's still millions and millions of star systems we can explore and see in the future- millions and billions of phenomena to observe for the rest of humanity's existence.
"Kinda like how infinite the ghost zone is, you'd never have enough time in all of existence or reality to explore every little corner, so it's best to just count our blessings that we're alive to even experience the sky looking as bright as it does."
Danny took a deep breath and smiled at Jazz while she stared at him in awe. She quickly fixed her slack jawed expression before she nodded in agreement. "You're right- there's limits we should follow, but what do you mean by us being blessed to see the sky look like this?"
"In billions of years, all the other nearby galaxies will be so so so far away nobody in the Milkdromeda- by the way did you know the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies will eventually combine? It's a stupid name but it's pretty fuckin cool I think-
"Anyways! After a while anything left in the galaxy at that point... They won't be able to see anything besides their galaxy. They won't be able to observe background radiation or even learn about the big bang. They'll think the universe is the same, infinite blackness surrounding their single dimming spot of light in existence until it fizzles out completely."
Danny stared up at the sky, truly looking at the far, far reaches of the galaxy as best his enhanced vision could.
"There's so much we can observe right now, Jazz. We finally got high def pics of Pulto. We got a picture of a black hole's Hawking radiation ring... And we still have so many questions.
"But those people, those existences billions of years from now? They'll have so little evidence... They'll never learn how the universe works- how it was made, and I think that's the sad part. Not the ghosts of ancient stars in the sky."
Jazz stared at him for a moment before she broke down into soft laughter. "Danny, your space nerd is showing again."
Jazz pointed at his face. He blinked a few times before he noticed the green glow coming from his eyes and cheeks. "Not again!!! Ugh, why can't I nerd about space without my ghost shit making it weird??"
"Well little brother, I think your freckles are cute. Especially when they look like constellations!"
Danny groaned as Jazz's giggles died down. She finally looked back up at the sky after a moment. "Yeah, it's not that sad- the stars in the sky being long dead, like I thought- they're just ghosts, and ghosts aren't inherently sad. They just want to be appreciated and seen most of the time. I think us staring up at the stars in awe and watching the universe's longest real time nature documentary is a good use of our existence."
She reached over and ruffled Danny's hair lovingly. "If you have other stuff to say about space stuff, I'm fine with existential stuff. You can go off as much as you want."
Danny perked up immediately, almost bouncing out of his seat. "Oh man, lemme tell you about the great filter and Fermi Paradox then- like yeah we've met extra planar beings like ghosts, but not aliens yet, and there's so many theories as to why-"
Jazz rolled her eyes and smiled at him. Both looked up at the stars in silence once again before Danny began to softly speak about the paradox of life and aliens.
Both teenagers quipped back and forth- one questioned the other and the sun slowly rose over the horizon before light consumed the stars once again. They realized how late (early) it was just a little too late, but neither regretted staying up to watch the dying lights beyond.
How truly lucky they were-
Two teenagers born at the right time, in the right place, in the right reality to behild a wonderfully bright and brilliant dance of long dead ghosts in the sky.
Blessed to view this long passed moment in history; their experience a short blip of life and consciousness compared to the inevitable age of black holes and entropy.
Jazz and Danny Fenton made their way down from the OPs Center roof, lucky enough to sneak past their parents. The two decided to keep their sneaking out a secret, and would forever remember that warm summer night.

Speak now, or forever hold your peace.
Summary: Ace, Rook, Epel, and Riddle failed to stop Eliza and Idia’s wedding. All hope is lost, and midnight is approaching.
An angstier take on Ghost Marriage. Idia x GN!reader. Idia-centric. Reader is MC, or takes the role of MC in this story. (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4)
Warnings: none
Wyd when you’re minutes away from receiving the literal kiss of death? Idia wished he could ask Threaddit. Of all ways to go, he never imagined getting kidnapped by a ghost princess and being forced to marry her. It was a dark but almost funny twist that wrote itself into his uneventful shut-in life.
“The wait is over, my prince. It’s time for our vows!” Eliza told him, as if this were something to be happy about. It was absolutely baffling how she never noticed his tears today. His pleas fell to deaf ears as an ancient wedding march played, which sounded more like a funeral march. It was a fitting BGM.
> Idia tried to escape, but was paralyzed on the floor and couldn’t move an inch!
> We need a healer to come save us!
> Someone with a skill to clear debuffs!
At first, he thought it was ridiculous for him to be chosen when Vil, Leona, and Malleus were right there. But now, he figured it was only right for an NPC like him to be sacrificed so that the heroes could shine. The problem was that there were no heroes here—everyone here was selfish. Besides, no one could really save him now. His schoolmates lay defeated on the floor, frozen by Eliza’s OP status effect.
Ace-shi was tied up and silenced after “offending the princess”. He tried to speak, but only incoherent grumbling could be heard with that silvery, translucent gag in the way.
Epel-shi followed after him, but started yelling and wildly waving his bouquet around after Eliza asked him to consider being a bridesmaid. He had to be restrained by the ghosts.
Rook-shi almost did it, but was slapped after Eliza somehow felt that his words weren’t for her alone.
Riddle-shi was rejected for being too short. He tried to reason with the princess, making her feel that he was too serious. He was slapped.
These four would-be saviors were frozen on the floor like everyone who came before. The Headmaster was nowhere to be seen. Since he’d been kidnapped, Ortho had been trying to help. Unfortunately, his brother was unable to do much for him without anyone’s aid. He isn’t even here right now. Idia’s heart broke at the thought of his brother still gathering people to help him.
And you? He hadn’t seen you all day.
While he waited for a savior, Eliza waited for his “I Do.” When the clock strikes twelve, she would kiss him. Then, it would be Game Over.
“I stand before this couple this day to unite them in the bonds of matrimony,” begins the ghost officiant. Idia thinks of his unfinished manga volumes, the anime he didn’t get to watch, the games he never got to play, and movie sequels he’d never get to see. Most importantly, he thinks of you—his unexpected friend. Or maybe the more appropriate word would be crush. These past few weeks, he strongly denied these feelings as if his life depended upon it. Maybe it did.
“... if there be anyone present that may present a just and lawful cause why these two individuals may not be lawfully wed…”
It was totally lame, but yes—your rejection would Crit him.
“... let them speak now or forever hold their peace.”
If his schoolmates couldn’t do anything, he didn’t expect you, a magicless human to be able to stop this. Still, it would have felt better to see you try. So, where were you? Did you ever care for him at all, or did he overestimate your friendship points?
“Do you, Idia Shroud, take Eliza as your lawful wife...”
Can someone crash through those doors right at this moment?
to have and to hold from this day forward—”
Maybe an explosion could happen in the middle of the cafeteria idk
“for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer,”
Or the ground could crack open, sucking all the ghosts into the Underworld!
in sickness and in health?”
Anyone, please?
“Man, I’m so done with this!” Floyd whined, cutting off the vows and distracting the ghosts. Idia let himself exhale as he silently thanked the eel for interrupting. “When Mr. Firefly Squid gets a kiss, we get to go home, right? Get it done already.” Oh. Or maybe not.
“My back is starting to hurt from being stuck in the same position for so long. Give her a good peck on the lips while the gettin’s good,” said Lilia. What? I gamed with you! Traitor!
“Do as Lilia says! Hurry and give her a good peck!” yelled Sebek. This was followed by more jeers—more urging for him to just die already.
Unbelievable. But he should’ve expected this from the beginning. This was why he hated people. None of them liked him, so none of them would care. It was fair, wasn’t it? There was no one he cared about in here. Only Ortho strongly protested against the wedding, but what could he do and where was he now? If only he knew this was going to happen, then maybe he could have installed some ghostbusting features into Ortho—like that one movie he watched!
In his desperation, he tried to appeal to the closest person to him in the room. “Azul-shi, we’re board game club buddies. Do something!”
But his friend, if he could even be called that, only faked a sniffle. “I’m so moved I can barely see through my tears. Congratulations, you have my blessing!”
If Azul-shi, his closest in the room won’t and couldn’t help him, who would? He hoped it would be you, but that hope has long been squashed and only left him hating that he ever hoped at all. He must have bullied you too much while you were gaming. Did he overdo the trash talk? Was he too mean? (He swears it was all light-hearted!) Did he shut you out too much? Did you hate hanging out with him all along? Of course you would.
Gaming together and talking on VC for hours, he supposed, weren’t enough to make you care if he lost his life tonight.
Eliza talking about the kiss barely registered as a lone tear escaped his eye.
“Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” If you were here, would you be chanting with them? Probably. It’s about time you showed your true colors too.
“STOP CHEERING!” he yelled, anger flaring amidst his sadness. Did he deserve this? Did he deserve to be this hated?
“Pay them no more mind, Idia. Midnight is here!”
“Shut up, shut up! Can’t you see I don’t want this?”
But Eliza leans in, drawing closer and closer. Tears seep out of Idia’s eyes, weeping for things that never came to pass. No. No. No, he chanted in his head with his eyes closed, as if it could do anything. A chilly feeling begins to cover his face. This is it. GG.
A sad and pathetic ending for a sad and pathetic shut-in boy. This was the only love he’ll ever get. Love wasn’t real. Heroes aren’t real. Dating sims aren’t reality. He should just—
BANG.
Huh?
“I OBJECT!”
“That voice!”
“Is it really…?”
Gasps and murmurs erupted in the hall at the sudden arrival of a figure clad in all-black. Beside them was Ortho, and at their feet was Grim. A large hat obscured their face, adding to the mystery of their person. The entire hall was awe-struck.
The ghosts whispered in confusion and alarm, but those who recognized the voice began hoping to be saved. Eliza, who’d been stunned into silence, quickly grew annoyed at the new interruption.
“Who is that?” she asked him, but Idia couldn’t care about her. His heartbeat drummed in his ears. His blood was alive. There they were again—those butterflies you’ve been giving him… as cliché as that sounds.
He watched you take off your hat as the hall greeted you with cheers.

To be continued
This is my first post and I’m nervous as hell.
I’ve been seeing the “Yuu-crashes-Ghost-marriage” idea around and decided to write my (really long) version of it. (Seriously, it got really long ahaha) Thank you for reading. If you liked this, stay tuned for the next parts!

Chapter Six (Jennifer Barkley x Reader)
Previous Chapter
The entire day, nay week leading up to Jen's arrival was fraught with tension. Time went all too quickly, yet dragged simultaneously. By Friday you were brimming with so much unnecessary energy that your productivity at work was comparable to that of Leslie, who's determination was currently your source of frustration. Had she not been so resolute about giving Jen a 'personal Pawnee tour', than you would've reunited at 5 rather than 9.
Admittedly, it was also your fault for not calling out her lengthy lie, but those extra four hours you had to suffer through were compensation enough.
In an attempt to pass the extra time, you tried to stay at work for longer, but Fridays were your half day and Ron demanded that you go home immediately, lest you do any extra government work. Reluctant to return to an empty house, you'd asked around if anyone wanted to hang out, and were met with a series of rejections.
Except for Ann, who upon being enlightened about the situation, insisted she help you get ready for your date (initially you refuted the title of 'date', but by the second hour of your evening it became tolerated). Her company, though unexpected, was more than welcomed. Having someone to share your excitement with made the increasing tension almost fun.
"Y/N?" Ann waved her hand in your line of vision, catching your attention. "We going in, or just spending the night in the car?"
"Don't tempt me." You muttered, grudgingly dragged out of your thoughts.
In front of you the queue to the The Snakehole Lounge was gradually growing. The sheer amount of people gathered outside was intimidating, so you dreaded to imagine how packed it'd be inside. Staying at home would've been preferable, but it seemed that time alone with Jennifer was not a luxury presently granted to you.
"Come on." Ann nudged you with her elbow. "You've been going on about this all day and now you're going to wuss out?"
You twisted round to face her, illuminated by the flickering multi-coloured lights beaming out the club's windows. She was watching you closely, trying to gauge how you felt based off expression alone. Despite all that was rushing through your mind, you were at a loss for words. How could you even begin to convey what you were currently feeling?
"Stop overthinking it." She said. "There's no way of knowing what'll happen when you see Jennifer again, but only you can change that, so just roll with it."
You paused to consider her suggestion, coming to the conclusion that she was more observant than you gave her credit for.
"You're right." You admitted, grateful that she'd knocked some sense into you. "Thanks." Awkwardly, you leant across the centre console to hug her. You didn't know Ann all too well, but needed some way of showing gratitude for her sensibility.
"This is nice." She relaxed into the embrace, then unwound an arm to glance at her watch. "But we're five minutes late so I'm pretty sure Leslie will be sending out a search party soon."
You chuckled, separating from Ann to glance at the building once more. Jen was somewhere inside waiting for you. She'd voluntarily returned to Pawnee, and to one of its less than fine establishments of all places, just because she wanted to see you again. The very notion had your heart racing.
"I'm ready."
---
The atmosphere of the club was as intense and unruly as expected. By the time you'd adjusted to the blinding lights and deafening music, Ann had already slipped away, replaced by Tom.
"Welcome this evening's esteemed VIP." He thrusted a disturbingly bright neon beverage into your hand. "Drink up."
"What is it?"
"Sweetums Fizz. My go-to drink for when I'm tryna get lucky." He winked. "But if it doesn't work out, feel free to give her my number."
Coming from Tom, that was the closest you would get to his blessings. So, unenthusiastically you took a sip of the dreadfully sweet drink , screwing up your face as you forced it down. Trying your best not to grimace at the taste, you smiled at him in thanks before he dispersed into the mass of people.
Next to approach was Leslie, who engulfed you in a crushing hug while spewing unintelligible nonsense about her trip. Usually her overly affectionate manner was too much, but this time you pulled her closer. If all went well tonight than you would be forever indebted to her.
Removing yourself from her grip, you interrupted her endless talk. "As much as I'd love to hear about Washington," You yelled over the obnoxiously loud music playing. "I can't hear a word your saying."
"Right." She nodded. "Wrong time, wrong place." There was a pause as the both of you were happy enjoying each others company. Since Jen's exit, Leslie had been so supportive and you'd missed her while she'd been gone.
Although, now wasn't the time for acknowledgements. "Have you seen Jen anywhere?"
"Oh, yeah." Leslie swivelled around and gestured in a general direction. "I think she said something about staying near the fire escape. Said this entire building was probably a hazard."
"That sounds like her." You grinned, spotting the green glowing fire exit sign. "Wish me luck."
"You don't need it." She patted your back, smiling reassuringly as you shuffled past.
Navigating through the crowd while keeping an eye on your target was a challenge. Several people bumped into you, their drink nearly spilling as they pushed past without an apology. However, nothing else mattered as you drew closer to the sign. Nothing else mattered except finding Jen.
Only she wasn't there.
As you struggled through the final row of people, you were met with yet another group of strangers. You sighed, absentmindedly swirling your glass as you resigned to return to Leslie. You then raised it to drink while turning round, though the necessary libation never reached your lips as you collided with someone.
The casualty gasped, stepping back as the cocktail spilled down the front of their dress.
"Shit." You froze, surveying the damage. "I'm so sorry-" You finally glanced up to face the woman and apologise again, but halted upon realisation.
Of course it was Jennifer. You just couldn't catch a break.
"I was going to surprise you, but looks like you got there first." She joked, scanning the vicinity for any kind of napkin. You joined the search, eventually spotting a couple abandoned on a table.
"Again, I am so sorry." You repeated, watching as she scrubbed at the stain. The attempt was futile as it didn't take long for the paper to be completely soaked through, and with little improvement to her dress. "Come on." You grabbed hold of her hand as she discarded the napkins, eager to try and improve this disaster of an event.
You maneuverer through the club with much difficulty while dragging Jennifer, who had an iron grip on your hand. Invigorated by the embarrassment, you arrived at the bathroom a mere minute later, all but shoving her inside one of the cubicles. Under the blaringly bright lighting you could assess the damage in greater detail.
"You know what?" She casually leant against the wall, waving her finger around. "I'm having some serious Deja-vu right now." You looked at her questioningly, pleased to see she didn't look too upset with the state of her dress. "Us together in a public restroom, you staring at my chest..."
You scoffed, reaching past her to grab the toilet paper. "Don't flatter yourself." You wrapped several layers around your hand, creating a makeshift towel. "Completely different circumstances."
"Same outcome though?" She raised an eyebrow suggestively, taking the bundle of paper from you.
"We'll just have to wait and see."
"I think you owe me." She scrunched up her face. "Or is throwing your drink over someone a traditional Pawnee welcome? Because that would explain the mess back there. Pretty sure every surface was sticky."
"Maybe you should wear one of those plastic ponchos next time." You muttered, nervously fidgeting with your hands.
The familiar anxiety from earlier seemed to have reappeared, you were unable to drag your eyes away from where they were fixated . Under the sobering bathroom light, everything had suddenly become very real. It had been years since you'd pursued any kind of serious relationship, and Jen was hardly the easiest person to start with. You tried to think about what Ann would say if she were here.
Probably something astute like "All the best things in life are worth fighting for." Too cheesy.
It'd be more "Nothing good comes out of running away from what you want, even if it's hard." Not inspirational enough.
Possibly "With great effort comes great gain." Nope. You'd definitely plagiarised that one from somewhere.
Maybe she'd-
"Y/N?" Jen ducked into your line of vision, bringing you back to reality. "Lost you there for a second." She smiled cautiously, resting a hand against your arm as if tethering you to the present.
"Sorry. I was thinking about something a friend said." You admitted sheepishly, placing your hand atop of hers. "Or would say if she were here."
"Oh yeah?" She carelessly threw the wad of paper behind, her full attention now on you. "And what would she say?"
You'd finally settled on what Ann would suggest. She'd say "Kiss her, idiot."
And you did.

The Proposal
Warnings: none! A/N: Third installment to the Teagan Valencia Series! A fluffier chapter because the next one is going to be intense... like woah, ‘that was unexpected’ intense. Disclaimer: This is a FICITONAL writing piece on Charlie Gillespie. In no way do I claim or declare that Charlie’s portrayal is accurate to real life. I do however, own Teagan Valencia :)
Masterlist
The Teagan Valencia Series: The Meeting / The Fight / The Proposal / The Present / The Recovery / The Future
The Proposal
“Cut! Alright let’s do touch up and we will run that scene one more time”
Kenny’s voice brought Teagan back to reality. Charlie and Maddie were laughing and wiping their tears as the make up team came for touch ups. Owen and Jeremy stood in their positions waiting to repeat the scene and complimenting the two leads. Teagan caught Charlie’s eye and he blew her a kiss from where he was standing, which caused Maddie to wave enthusiastically at me, and a “HI TEAGAN!” from Jeremy and Owen. She smiled and waved at them, Maddie spontaneously breaking out into a small dance where she kept flipping her hand in the air. For a moment, Teagan was confused, until she pointed to her own ring finger then back at Teagan. A smile came to her face as she remembered the high they were all riding from the weekend.
***
Charlie shuffled around the foyer of the hotel lobby. Charlie did get nervous from time to time, but the nervousness, excitement and, oddly enough, fear was eating him alive.
“Dude it’s going to be fine” Owen placed a hand on Charlie’s shoulder to help calm him down. Charlie gave Owen a nervous smile.
“How’s my bowtie? My hair okay?” Charlie rushed to look into the reflective surface of the wall beside him.
“Charlie you look fine. Plus, she isn’t going to care about what you’re wearing. Your plan is full proof!” Jeremy held him by both shoulders and tried to help ease his nerves.
“Were you this nervous when you were proposing?” Jeremy chuckled and nodded his head releasing Charlie from his firm hold.
“Absolutely, but I knew I had to do it. I couldn’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else” Charlie smiled at the nostalgia that crept onto Jeremy’s face reminiscing on the day he proposed to Carolynn. “Everything is going to go exactly how it needs to go. Now, take a deep breath. You don’t want her to catch on too early do you?”
“Better breathe quickly. Here she comes!” Owen whisper-shouted to the two leaving them to approach the staircase that the girls were descending. Being the southern gentleman he was, he offered an arm to Maddie as she descended the last few steps.
“I will never understand how girls in the movies make it look like walking down stairs in heels is the easiest thing in the world!” She scoffed, gladly taking Owen’s hand in hers. Savannah and Tori giggled behind her, being used to wearing heels on more than one occasion. The staff at Netflix were throwing a formal evening party to celebrate the success of Julie and the Phantoms. The series had been a hit! This meant that the production budget was increased and so were the possibilities of the show. The entire cast and production crew, old and new, were invited to the event in LA as they were close to starting the filming of season 2. Naturally, Charlie brought Teagan as his date, while Jeremy brought Carolynn. The rest of the Julie and the Phantoms cast decided not to bring someone else as their plus one, but everyone knew it was going to be an amazing night. Everyone was dressed in their evening best and Charlie was surprised at how well everyone cleaned up, but he wasn’t prepared to see Teagan and Carolynn descend the staircase last. Charlie could tell you were nervous when Carolynn whispered something to help ease the tension in your shoulders. Teagan wore a modest high neck a-line floor length emerald gown with a beaded bodice that faded into the bottom half of the dress. She wore her hair in a simple elegant side bun with soft curls framing her face, making her look more radiant than ever. Charlie was glad that she got ready with the other girls because although she looked absolutely stunning, he could still tell that it was Teagan. Her makeup wasn’t too overpowering, but wasn’t too simple either, and her dress complimented her beautifully.
“Charlie?” her voice brought him out from his day dream and admiration. “Is it too much?” she bit her lips slightly, an action that made Charlie’s heart swell but also tempted him to take you back to the apartment for an evening between the two of you.
“What? Are you crazy? You look stunning!” He kissed your cheek gently, placing his hand on the small of your back. “You make me look like an attendant” he chuckled. Charlie almost felt sheepish standing next to you in his black suit and bowtie.
“Nonsense, you’re handsome as always” she kissed him on the nose, wiping off some of the lipstick that rubbed off on your nose.
“S’excuse me! The limo is waiting!” Maddie interrupted their flattery exchange, and with a smile Charlie extended his arm out to Teagan, escorting her to the limo with the rest of the group. That evening was filled with laughter and smiles as everyone dined and danced the night away. However, the night didn’t end when everyone left the event to go galavanting on the Malibu beach at midnight. At this point, nobody cared about dirtying their clothes as everyone was too lost in the fun and was comforted in the fact that Owen reminded us of drycleaning. They cherished each other’s company as the girls walked barefooted on the sand with shoes in hand, the guys with their suit jackets over their shoulders. As everyone played “What are the odds” on the beach, Teagan watched Charlie quickly dash into the wave to quickly dash out, now half wet. Teagan watched a brief moment of panic cross his face, to relief wash over him, and nerves reach his eyes. As Owen declared a giant game of tag, Teagan sat out on a big piece of driftwood, Charlie joining her. His mind drifted to when he had asked her father for her hand in marriage...
***
Charlie’s palms were wet with sweat and his body was buzzing with nerves. He took a deep breath before pressing the doorbell alerting the residents of his presence. Teagan’s mom answered the door, a slight look of surprise and confusion on her face at the man at their front door.
“Charlie? What are you doing here? Come on in!” she ushered him in quickly as the rain had began to fall outside, giving him a big hug as he entered. Like any good host, she brought him to the table and insisted he sit, momentarily leaving him to grab a cup of tea and snacks from the kitchen. “I didn’t expect company anak! Sorry about my clothing”
“You look fine Mrs. Valencia!” he smiled, trying to hide his nervousness and thanking her as she placed home baked filipino snacks in front of him with a cup of green tea. “These look delicious!” he enthused as he took a bite, and he probably would’ve enjoyed them more, if his stomach wasn’t so busy doing summersaults.
“So how are you? What’s going on?” Mrs. Valencia had a way of soothing Charlie with her motherliness. She reminded him of his mother at times and that brought him comfort. “I thought you weren’t coming until tomorrow?”
This was the big weekend that Teagan would officially be moving to live with Charlie for good in LA. She had gotten the promotion she had worked hard for and Netflix offered her a bigger role with the marketing team in the US. When Teagan was first promoted, she would fly down for weeks at a time but it quickly came up in conversation that it didn’t make sense to pay rent for a place she barely lived in.
“I-uh wanted to surprise Teagan a day in advance, but she doesn’t know I’m here yet” at this information, Mrs. Valencia cocked an eyebrow, now curious and slightly suspicious of this secret visit. “Is Mr. Valencia home too?” Charlie knew the man was retired and rarely left the house without his wife. She nodded and went to fetch him which felt like an eternity to him as he sat there in the silence of their dining room. His leg began to bounce restlessly and he played with the snack in front of him until he heard footsteps approaching. He took a deep breath as Teagan’s dad walked into the room.
“Charlie! What are you doing here?!” her dad’s voice boomed in the house moving to give him a hug. Charlie gave him a hug and a smile as well, sitting down in his original spot, while he father sat across from him and her mother in between the both of them. “I thought you were coming tomorrow?”
“I wanted to surprise Teagan and uh talk to you two, actually” he felt the nerves rising in his throat and started to fidget in his seat. He could see Mrs. Valencia perk up and become excited, but he could also see Mr. Valencia become serious, the big smile now disappearing. “Teagan and I have been together for three years and you have an amazing daughter.” He hated how his voice was shaky and that he was stuttering, but still he persisted. There was no backing down now. “She has been the best thing that has happened to me and I know that I haven’t always been the best for her, but I can’t see my future without her” For some reason, the more the thought about Teagan and how much he loved her, the stronger his voice felt. “She has made me a better person and I’ve been so blessed to have her a part of my life. So before I take your daughter to come live with me in LA, I wanted to ask the both of you a question about a decision I have been ready to make for a while.” Charlie sat up straighter. “I love Teagan more than words can explain and I know how much it would mean to her that I ask you both before asking her” He took a deep breath.
“Do I have your blessing to ask Teagan to be my wife?”
The silence was thick and tense. Mrs. Valencia was tearing up, looking at her husband. Mr. Valencia folded his hands in front of him, bowing his head.
“Do you swear to take care of my daughter, no matter what?” Charlie didn’t know he was holding his breath until Mr. Valencia asked him this question.
“On my life sir” and with a nod, Mr. Valencia sat back in his chair, a happy but sad smile on his face.
“You have our blessing”.
***
“Y’alright?” Teagan looked at him with light concern in her eyes, interrupting him from his thoughts.
“Yeah why?” Charlie chuckled but avoided eye contact, sending Teagan warning signs that something was up. Teagan eyed him carefully in silence as he looked onwards to his friends running around. She then noticed that occasionally her friends would glance over to them in their game of tag. Maybe they knew something that she didn’t?
“Nothing... It’s just... You seem tense and I don’t think I’m the only who notices” she expressed nodding her head over at their friends. Charlie shifted weight from side to side and chuckled softly to himself. Teagan was going to drop the topic but quickly changed her mind when Charlie’s face adorned a deep pensive seriousness. Teagan began to worry that something heavy was bothering him.
“You know I tell you everything right?” Charlie looked her in the eyes and she desperately tried to read the man to find some sort of comfort to her increasing worry. She nodded and he grabbed her hand in his taking a deep breath, steadying himself. “Do you trust me? Because what I have to tell you will radically change things for our future”. His eyes expressed a worried sincerity and Teagan began to think the worse. Had he cheated? Was he breaking up with her? But things had been so good! Or was there something more?
“Charles Jeffrey Gillespie, tu m'inquiètes. What’s going on?” she started to wring her hands together, a nervous tick that came out when her anxiety started rising. Charlie knelt in front of her between her legs, looking down taking a deep breath. When he looked back up at her, his eyes seemed glossy and watery and hot needles started to prick at Teagan’s skin as her heart rate increased. He held her hand in his and took another deep breath, opening and closing his mouth a few times.
“I don’t know how else to say this without coming flat out and saying it. I want you to know that I love you with my entire being and there is no one else on this earth that I would rather be with. You accept me despite my major flaws and you forgive me even when I don’t deserve it. I am truly grateful that you are the person for me” Teagan’s face remained frozen, bracing herself for whatever news had gotten her boyfriend so distraught. She was so focused on his words and his every breath, that she didn’t notice their friends creeping up on them with their phones out, filming. She didn’t notice Charlie reach into his damp pocket to pull out a small damp box. She didn’t notice him open the box and present it to her. She felt utterly confused when Charlie smiled at her with misty eyes and said “Will you do me the honour of being my wife and marry me?”
Immediately, tears came rushing out of Teagan’s eyes, emotions crashing into her in waves. All she could do was utter a “Yes”, hold his face in her hands and kiss him. The cheer of their friends erupted at her reply as the two of them kissed. Charlie broke the kiss to place the ring on her finger, kissing her hand and looking at her with pure love in his eyes. More tears came to her eyes as she realized the ring on her hand was the same ring her grandfather had used to propose to her grandmother and the same ring that her father had used to propose to her mother. Charlie gave her a knowing smile and stood up with her, laughing as she smacked him on the chest before hugging him.
“I thought you were going to tell me something really bad! Tu m’as inquiété! Sérieusement!" she laughed and chastised through the tears that were slowly coming to a halt. As they hugged, their friends came closer and approached them, offering their hugs and congratulations. No one could ruin the happiness present on the beach that evening as the both of them began their journey towards Mr. & Mrs. Gillespie.

Chapter 11: The Coup D'état
Reiner hasn’t seen Mikasa for a week since their unexpected encounter. All he could think about was the way her soft lips crashed into his. As a Marleyan warrior, he shouldn’t have these thoughts towards his enemy, but as a man, it’s so tempting to expand his forbidden thoughts about the female Ackerman. He remembers when he and his comrades went on their mission to retrieve the Founding Titan from the Paradis Eldians, he met Mikasa at a military academy and his crush for her grew when she spared him and took him down. He admired her strength and talents from being an excellent soldier. He felt she had so much potential, but with Eren it was hard for her to focus on her priorities.
Sure he was jealous a little bit, but he believed Mikasa could grow to her full potential which a week ago, Reiner saw what she was capable of doing. He saw another side of her personality that she rarely shows to anyone.
Right now, he kept replaying on that day when Mikasa kissed him. Just thinking of the way they kissed was very enjoyable and passionate, especially for two former comrades now enemies.
The Armored Titan holder was lost in his thoughts as he’s with his family having a late lunch. Gabi, his cousin telling interesting tales during her training. His other relatives praised her while his mother was staring at him with concern.
“Reiner? Are you alright?” His mother interrupted his daydream. Reiner’s cheeks were now flushed embarrassedly.
“Yes, mother. I’m alright. I just had a lot of things on my mind.” He tried to stay cool. The rest of his family gave an ‘are you sure’ look.
“Are you sure, son? You just have that look that I used to do that when I thought about your father.” Ms. Braun's voice was low. Reiner glanced up at his mother then sighed as he got up from his chair.
“I’m fine, mother. I had a lot on my mind because we’re going to the shoreline tomorrow to prepare for the invasion soon.” He said.
Ms. Braun seems not convinced, but she lets him off as he gets up from his seat. “Are you heading back to the base?”
“Yes, I need to prepare for tomorrow. Gabi, you can enjoy a little more time here before you have to come back soon for tomorrow.” The titan shifter looked at his cousin who nodded.
“Well, thank you for the lovely meal mother. I will definitely miss your home cooked meal and uncle and auntie, it’s good to see you both again.” He smiles at each of them.
“Wait son, let me pack you up some leftovers so you can enjoy it on the trip to the shoreline.” Ms. Braun gets up quickly to go pack up some leftovers for his son, but add more to share with his close comrades. His soldiers always praised how good his mother’s home cooked meals were.
The blonde haired man goes towards the kitchen where his mother is packing up some food for him. “Reiner, I know you have a lot of plate in you, but I’m asking a favor from you to find a girl. I don’t care...where she’s from as long, she makes you happy.”
Reiner was surprised by his mother’s words. Usually, she always told him to find a good respectable Eldian girl even though she prefers a Marleyan girl, but that sounds too far fetched for him to be with. With years passed, his time is running out. Soon in a year, he will be dead by the titan's curse and have to pass it on to his successor.
“Mother, what are you trying to say?” He finally broke his silence.
“I want a grandchild. I understand this will be unfair for you and the potential mother of your child, but hear me out my son. I may push you to be in the warriors program so our family can be citizens. I want to say, I’m sorry, Reiner …for letting my ambition put on you. I was so hurt and in denial when your father stopped this secret affair. I thought being citizens will make him come back to me and be a family like I’ve dreamed. Every time I count the days when you’re about to die, I cry...from the guilty making my only child go through hell. I’m sorry for causing you pain, my precious son. I love you so much. Please, if you can make time, find a girl that makes you happy and have a child. I promise you that I will accept the mother of your child with open arms and treat her as my daughter. Your child will be raised with love and knowing its father died as a hero.” She cupped her son’s face to stare into his eyes.
Reiner scoffs that his mother mentions him as a hero. He didn’t feel like a hero when reality had hit him hard during the time of the Trost District invasion of the Titans. He started to have nightmares. At first it was the loss of his comrades Marcel Gaillard, Porco Gaillard’s older brother, the last holder of the Jaw Titan before Ymir ate him and stole the Jaw titan from him on the island. Porco had resented him because of his brother’s death.
“Reiner, you may not think you’re a hero but you are. Your loyalty to our Motherland Marley proves you will sacrifice for your country, comrades, our people and the Marleyan who had discriminated against us for years. With you, you have shown there are good Eldians; not the devils from Paradis.” Ms Braun’s tone brings some comfort in Reiner from the deeds he had done in the past.
“Mother, if I already had in mind who has my heart, will you keep your promise once I die?” He said
His mother smiled in joy from hearing this. “Oh son, so there is a girl in your life. Yes, I will keep my promise.”
“Even if it’s an enemy?” He dropped the news on to her. Now, his mother became quiet. He knew it that she would not keep her promise.
“Is she with a child?” She finally answered.
“No, we...I just saw her a week ago and….my old feelings for her had resurfaced. I thought I would grow out of it once I got back home. Instead I deeply buried these feelings since she’s an enemy and also her heart belonged to someone else at that time. I can’t keep her out of my mind. I tried mother, but if you knew her; she’s compassionate, fierce, strong, loyal, kind and also protective. Did you know she saved Gabi from getting killed by one of her comrades when Eren Jaeger attacked Liberio? She doesn’t see us, not even Marleyans as enemies. She fights to protect. I’m tired of denying my feelings for her. I want my last year on earth to have that small happiness. With that I see Mikasa Ackerman as my happiness.” he took a deep breath after his passionate speech.
“I see...this Mikasa is related to that Ackerman monster?” Reiner was confused about what his mother meant, but remember Zeke mentioned to the higher ups that they all need to beware Captain Levi Ackerman who is a monster when it comes to fighting. He agrees with Zeke that the Captain of the Survey Corps is a bloodlust killing machine. Heck, he had nightmares because of the captain.
“Yes, she is his distant relative, but how do you know about the Ackermans?” He questioned his mother.
“Let’s just say, I know how to retain information from the military when it’s necessary.” She said.
“Mother, that’s treason.” He whispered.
“And you falling for the enemy isn’t not treason? I did it because you had me worried the way you scream at night from terrors and I read on your report that you attempt to shoot yourself. I am scared for you, but like I said. I take mostly blame on myself for making you lead that path. I will do what it takes for you. It won’t make up completely what i made you do but it’s a start. Now, about that Mikasa girl. If you believe she will make you happy then you have my blessing. Just please both of you be careful ok. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you, son.” Her hand caressing her son’s cheek.
“I will be careful, but first I need to confront her about my old feelings for her.” He said.
“Well, you better because I still want a grandchild. Here, I pack enough for your friends and some extra if you meet up with the girl again.” She said with a smile then gave a paper bag with containers of leftovers to him.
“Oh god mother.” He blushed and took the big brown paper bag.
“I love you mother. I promise I will come back home alive to spend my last moments with you guys.” He smiled and hugged her.
“ I love you sweetheart. Please take care and take care of Gabi. She’s still a child.” She said.
“Of course I will. Goodbye...mom.” He whispered then exited through the back door and walked around to walk through the sidewalk.
Reiner enjoyed walking down the streets whether it’s empty or crowded. The nostalgia feeling rushed in when he glanced at all the spots he had hung out with his old friends and new. He will miss home and the people who were busy with their daily lives. There are some destroyed buildings from the surprise attack by Eren that haven't been reconstructed yet.
The Eldian blonde man was now glancing up at the blue sky until he saw a very familiar figure up at the roof jumping from roof to roof. Seriously, why isn’t Mikasa being decree? Is she trying to get herself spotted? He stopped to see her staring down at him. He doesn’t know whether he should ignore her for now. Well, his mother did pack some for Mikasa, maybe having lunch with her will get her to lose her guard with him. He goes to find a ladder that's connected to the roof where Mikasa is staring down at him. Her eyes kind of glow silver which scares him a bit, but also feels intrigued.
Finally he reaches to the top of the roof and sees Mikasa a bit far distant with her hoodie covering the top half of face. Her jet black bangs flow delicately from the breeze. His mind definitely wasn’t playing tricks when he stared at her silver glowing eyes. Reiner began to walk towards her. At first, she was about to spring off from him; but he gently used his hands to make a surrender gesture for her.
“Hey I'm not here to chase after you. I’m here for a peace offer.” He waved the big brown paper bag at her.
When the smell of a home cooked meal reached to her nostrils, her stomach growled from hunger. She blushed from feeling hungry. Mikasa pulled off her hoodie to reveal her face towards him. “This isn’t a trick right? Because i won’t hesitate to kill you this time if you do.” She warned him.
“I swear on my honor, this is not a trick. I just thought two adults having lunch on a nice clear day.” He said truthfully.
Mikasa contemplates whether to risk it and take his offer or just run away. “Fine I guess having lunch with an old friend is acceptable, but can I trust you if I show you my hideout?”
Reiner sighed. “Yes, you can trust me. I would have already tried to capture you by now.”
“Hmm fair point. Just don’t make me regret it ok. Follow me. I’ll show you my little temporary place.” Mikasa began to hop on the other rooftop which Reiner groaned but thank goodness with his titan strength he managed to catch up with her.
Finally they reached their destination. An old abandoned building was far apart from the city limit. Reiner felt they passed the internment zone where they segregated Eldians like him from the Marleyan citizens. It felt like no man's land.
“This is a good hideout.” He said.
“Yeah, I need a good place not to be seen.” She made a scoff sound then used her strength to move the heavy cemented flat block to reveal a hole enough for them to get through. Both entered into the hole then Mikasa once again closed the entrance and used candle lights to brighten the room. It's dark here, but there’s a stairway which Mikasa leads him upstairs until there is brightness from the daylight. He saw a bed and a small desk with a little feminine touch. The view was beautiful since he can see the rest of the city far away. Mikasa blows her candle light which he does the same.
She took off her boots and sat on her bed. “Sorry I don’t have a table for us to eat. Just take off your shoes and join me on the bed.” the way she said it made Reiner blushed.
He took off his shoes and went to bed. Reiner placed the bag on the bed and opened it which the aroma of the food spread around the room. “So, what did your family cook? Because it smells good.” She said.
He took out containers of the different kinds of dishes his mother made. “My mother made a feast like lunch since Gabi and I are being shipped off to the shoreline soon.”
“Yes, I’m aware your armies are preparing to invade my home.” She said with a bit of a dark tone.
“Mikasa...I know this is too late but I’m sorry for what I did in the past. I was naïve and eager to please my superiors especially I made a promise to my mother that our family will be rewarded to become citizens. This war had opened up my eyes and the consequence. I hate the mindset the Eldians were taught to hate their own people across the sea. We are all the same. It's just a fucked up world that my people have to hate your people just to live.” While speaking his thoughts out, he prepared the right amount of food in one bowl his mother placed into the bag. Then he handed the bowl filled with food to Mikasa.
“Thank you.” She mumbled gratefully then took a bite. “Reiner, maybe the younger me would accept an apology, but you don’t need to because like you said, you were a child being upbrought with my people being the devils and your people just happened to carry the blood of the devils. You thought it was justifiable of what you, Annie, and Bertholdt did the day you and him broke into the Wall of Shiganshina. After that, that hatred infected my people in wanting to destroy all titans. So, I understand what you did was necessary and naïve if I would have been in your shoes. Now, I see a man with remorse and pain from the guilt you caused during that time. But if you need my forgiveness then you are forgiven. I believe us Eldians and against the world aren’t the real villains since the real ones cause this long history of bloodshed and pain. This is one of the reasons why I joined the Brotherhood of the Creed. I learnt the truth of the history both sides were lied to.”
Reiner already had his bowl with food in it while Mikasa was speaking. He glanced up in confusion. “What do you mean, Mikasa?”
“What I mean is the history we both know is not what it seems.” Mikasa gets up while holding on to her half empty bowl. She placed it on her desk then grabbed old artifact documents and placed it in front of Reiner.
“Huh? What’s this?” He stared down old documents on the bed.
“This is evidence that our history was lied to. Everything we knew was nothing but a lie.” Her tone became dark. “I didn’t want to believe it at first either but the facts never lie.”
Reiner stopped eating and placed his bowl on the ground. He grabbed one of the papers and read. He was surprised that he kept reading each paper to process this revelation in his mind.
“What did I just read, Mikasa? Don’t tell me that all the pain, blood, tears, and fears we Eldians and Marleyans endured was all just for these sick people’s ambition to rule the world? Who do these templars think they are?” His body was shaking from the anger building.
“They planted the seed of hate and fear on both the Fritz king and his concubine, Ymir the Founding Titan. You know how the legend goes when Ymir made a deal with the Earth Devil to receive the power of the titan?” She glanced at him.
“Well, the real lore was she went to the forest to get fresh berries and herbal plants like she would usually do then one day, Ymir was gathering more until she came across a device that’s not from this world. She touched it to see strange imaging in her mind and there was an object next to it. Ymir hears voices in her head whispering the promise of endless power and immortality. Of course, she was a slave to the king; she desperately made the deal without knowing the curse. Ymir had the power to have the world under her feet instead she let the king use her as a weapon to just protect from neighboring enemies. The templars heard stories of a woman turning a giant so they came here and that’s where they whisper to the king to conquer and the world will bow to him.”
Reiner listened to Mikasa. “So in order to take over the world they need to let chaos spread to manipulate how they see it fit?” he was trying to understand what he just found out.
“Yeah pretty much. Yet their ideology and the Order are still alive today. Some are disgusting as Paradisan citizens and some are very close to your military ranks.” She stared into him.
He gasped and grunted his teeth. “Fuck, this is too much.”
“It explains why this part of the world hasn’t advanced a lot for years. The other half of the world already have this device called cell phones.” She pulled out from her pocket a phone and let Reiner hold it.
He looked at it with curiosity and intrigue. “What does it do?”
“You can communicate from a very long distance but it needs satellites and the internet. I use this flat round device to recharge it. It’s how I keep my contact with my higher rank.” Mikasa said while watching Reiner touching the screen and his eyes lit up like a child. Low key a smile appears on her lips as she finds it cute.
“Why are you telling me all this?” He stopped and became serious.
“Because I feel you should know the truth. My gut feeling tells me to trust you so I did, plus you’re the only person I know in this place who will listen and consider. You did have the right to inform your superior about my appearance here, but you didn’t...why?” The titan shifter couldn’t help staring into her dark eyes. They are full of mystery. Reiner knew he'd get lost into them if he kept staring at them. No matter how she looked, he would always see her as a beautiful warrior.
“Because I don’t want anything bad to happen to you...I guess you can say; my old boy crush had resurfaced when I saw you again a week ago.” He was blushing from his confession.
Mikasa was surprised by this. Her cheeks were blushing too. “How long have you had this crush?”
“The first time we met when we became partners to spar. I had admired your strength. You made things look so effortless. I haven’t seen that since Captain Levi.” his tone became soft.
“Yeah, you might be surprised but captain midget and I are actually related. Apparently, when he found out his surname is also Ackerman; Commander Hange began to research our family genealogy. So, he’s my second cousin. We’re the only blood family we have. Well, I will be an auntie soon.” She brushed her bang to the side to see him better.
“Wow, that explains so much the way you both have this similar intimidating look and your fighting style is very similar also.” Reiner carefully gathered the papers to place them on the ground.
“Pfft, first off, I’m better than him.” She mumbled.
“Already having a family rivalry going on?” he chuckled.
“I just hate to always be compared by him. I don’t want to be his shadow. I want to be just Mikasa.” She whispered.
“Hey, you two may have similarities but you are way different from him. He is always alone and you surround yourself with friends. You’re passionate, kind to others, but fierce in battle. You are protective of those you care about. You’ll be a wonderful badass mother one day.” Just the thought of her being a mother made his stomach flutter. Maybe only in his dreams, she would be round with his child.
“I….I mean being a mom would be something I always wanted to be if I survived this war.” Mikasa thought about motherhood for years. She thought once this hell is over maybe Eren would realize how much she loved him, but that idea died when her comrades recused Queen Historia from him and his older brother.
“You would look beautiful… even though you will always look beautiful no matter how you looked.” Again he blushed as he looked away.
“Reiner, are you proposing for me to have your child; it seems that way?” The dark haired beauty smirked teasingly.
“I- what? No! I mean I don’t want to put you in a situation where you will be alone with a child once I...passed away from the curse.” He became nervous.
“How long do you have until you're dead..?” Mikasa felt her heart squeeze from thinking about him already dying.
“A year.” He said in a low tone.
The Asian woman nodded from his response. “This probably shouldn’t be a good idea but we can try...if faith allows us to have a child then so be it. I want to be with a man who will love me for me and just make me feel I'm the only woman in this cruel world.” The assassin gently placed her hand on his lap.
The blonde man felt his heartbeat pound loudly. He can feel her hand gently slide up his thigh. His manhood woke up excitedly as it throb to be free from his trouser which it was getting tighter. “W-will you let me be that man?” His tone became husky.
As his tone got deep and raspy, Mikasa felt the warmth feeling below where her core pulsed with excitement. Now, her tone became seductive. “Yes, I can’t stop thinking about you since our encounter on the rooftop. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting the kiss to make me feel alive. Since then, just thinking of you made me feel a woman for once. I haven’t felt like this with anyone; not even with Eren.”
Reiner didn’t know what possessed him, but he boldly captured her lips with his passionately kissing Mikasa. The Paradisian woman was a bit startled, but adjusting the deep kiss quickly. Her hands cupped his cheeks while their tongue fought for domination. Mikasa shifted her body to sit on his lap while Reiner placed his hands on her waist. She could feel how his hands moved up and down her sides. Mikasa slowly begins to rock her body to grind on him. Reiner felt his cock throbbing hard. He let out a groan. They broke free from their kiss, but Renier hovers his lips on her neck.
Mikasa whimpered from the tease of his hot breath hitting on her skin. Her body started getting hotter so quickly she began to remove her assassin outfit. Reiner happily helped her. He now kisses and bites her neck as her outfit was discarded on the floor. Only her undergarment was still on.
“Am I the only man to make you feel this needy?” He growled low close to her ear.
“Mmm y-yes, you make me touch myself when I'm alone here.” Her moan was the most sexiest sound he ever heard.
“What a naughty girl you are?” He chuckled and let his finger hooked the hem of her panties to slide them off slowly. His other hand unhooked her bra as it fell off from her. Her breasts were exposed. He could see her nipples hard. Reiner let his hand gently massage both of her breasts.
Mikasa moaning increased. She closed her eyes to enjoy the pleasure of the way he touched her breasts. Slowly, her legs spread apart as her pussy produced more slick and the throb of her clitoris made it eager for her wanting attention down below.
Reiner other hand slides to grope her thigh then travels up to between her legs. His finger rubbed her clitoris which a wave of ecstasy spread in her body.
“Ohhhh yes Reiner….d-don’t s-stop p-please.” She kept moaning.
The blonde man is already busy suckling and licking both of her nipples one at a time. He took his time to taste her soft skin. He can’t believe it that he’s actually doing this with the woman he had a crush with. He enjoys her moans become louder while his fingering goes at a fast pace. Mikasa begins to rock her hips against her finger. He added two more into her hole. This drove her on the edge.
Mikasa may be high on getting finger fucked, but she glanced at him to see his clothes are not off. She let out an animalistic growl and undo clothes aggressively. Something deep in her subconscious awakened. A familiar voice whispered.
Claim him...claim mate now…
Reiner felt how she undo his clothes and removed them. Now equally, his body was exposed as Mikasa’s. His vision became clear from the pleasure he was giving to her. He noticed Mikasa’s eyes glowing silver. The titan shifter was hypnotized. His eyes glowed amber. Like animals, they wrestled for domination again.
There were biting, sucking, and scratching. Their moans and growls echoed in the abandonment building. Finally, Reiner had her on her hands and knees bend over. His grip was on her hips. Mikasa pressed her ass on his cock grinding to feel his precum pulsing shaft on her entrance.
“Fuck Mikasa, let me try to be gentle with you.” He groans.
Her head shook. “N-no, I don’t want you to be gentle...I want rough. I need your f-fucking thick meaty cock inside me!” She begged with a demanding tone.
“This is the first time you are becoming demanding.” He mumbled. “But…this is your first time? I don’t want to hurt you.” he said.
“I’m an Ackerman, pain is the least of my concerns. Please Reiner just fuck me. I have been wanting you all this week.” Her whimpers were visible.
He stopped her then spread her bottom cheeks to see how wet she was for him. He felt pride in what he had done to her. Already with his hard cock, he thrusted into her pussy.
Mikasa cried with joy and bliss from feeling his thick meaty cock stretching inside her walls. Her body shakes from the pleasure and an electric familiar feeling spread every inch of her body. She hasn’t felt this since her awakening when she lost her biological family.
Reiner growls and keeps thrusting into her harder. His body leaned on hers while fucking her as she demanded. The sound of slapping skins echoing the room. His lips kissed ferociously on her neck. He whispered sweet words and promises in her ear.
Mikasa sobbing with bliss as she listens to Reiner’s sweet words. She wants it all. She wants love, happiness, family, marriage, and him. Mostly him. Even though it's going to be for a year, she doesn’t care. As long she gets to be with him in those 12 months. Mikasa knows she’ll be ok if faith blesses her having his child.
(Somewhere in Wall Sina, Paradis Isle)
Levi was riding his horse back to the Orphanage. He had finished all his assassin’s duties to finally come home to Historia. As he got closer to the familiar roads, far in the horizon; Levi saw black smoke in the sky. His sense started to pick up the burning scent. His heart dropped when the location was where the Orphanage is. The raven haired man kicked his horse to gallop faster to the smoke location.
When the view of the property became near, he saw it was the building along the cottage that both him and Historia put time and enough. He got off his horse and ran toward the heated area.
“Historia! Historia!” Levi screamed desperately for his wife. Maybe she hid herself along with the kids and the caretakers. Whoever does this they will pay with their lives? The place was black like charcoal. There were some small fires but it’s dying down. The captain walked through the Orphanage first. God, he hopes there’s no bodies here.
He saw the second floor gone. The rumbles of burnt wood and other materials laid on the ground. Levi carefully removes the things to spot anything who has done this. He lifts a pile and sees what he fears. Few burnt bodies. Most of them were adults, but one child lay crouching. For almost nine months, Levi had begun feeling fatherly. It angered him that probably a group or one person did this sinister act. He saw a shiny silver that caught his attention. Levi picked it up and brushed off the ashes to see it was the Templar cross.
“Those fucking bastards!” He gripped tightly the cross. As he glanced at it, the cross was dented from his strength. He placed it into his pocket to have as evidence. If there were only a few that died, where are the rest of them? He goes to the stables.
Levi reached to the stables to see it was untouched. He walked in and heard noises from under.
“Come out now.” He said sternly.
A tiny head pops out from the stack of hays. “Captain Levi you’re back!”
The little girl Kathy ran towards him to hug him tightly while sobbing. “Where are the others?” He changed his tone a bit softer for the crying child.
The child glanced at the captain when he kneel down to eye level her. “S-some were burnt...others were shot and thrown into the lake. Only us hid in the hays. Historia was taken by the bad men...one of them called Zeke.”
That fucking piece of shit Zeke. He was behind on all this. Levi tried to remain calm since he doesn’t want to scare the kid.
He heard shuffle from the hays and the rest of the children came out. Thank fucking Walls the children survived. They probably killed the adults. This time he won’t fail both Erwin and Historia. Zeke Jaeger will die by his blades.
“Come kids, let’s head to town. I’ll make sure you’re all safe.” The assassin had bottled up his bloodlust rage. He can’t go on the rampage yet. The kids need to be safe first. His titan wanted to come out.
Those fuckers. They will meet their death. How dare they kidnap our queen. We must go after her to protect her and our offspring.
“We will but let's take the kids first.” He whispers which only Iapetus heard in his subconscious.
“Captain? Who are you talking to?” Kathy looked at Levi curiously.
“No one, kiddo.” His eyes reflect silver which Kathy felt a bit frightened, but she knows the captain won’t harm her and the kids. He’s a good guy. A hero. A knight especially to Historia.
He gathered the surviving children. Levi noticed there are still two horses in the stable. He goes to the animals and takes them out to prepare the saddles. Once the horses are ready, he leads both the children and the horses where his horse awaits for him.
“OK only some of you will ride on the horses. The little ones will go on them including mine. The oldest I’m sure you guys can walk until we reach the next town.” He stared at the kids. Some were still shaken up from the event earlier.
He helped the smallest kids into threes on all the three horses. Only a few kids are a bit older from 7 to 13. The thirteen year old was holding a baby. She’s probably around 6 months.
“Here I’ll carry her. You’ll need your strength right now.” He said to the girl holding the baby.
She nodded and gave the baby to Levi. Might as well get used to it. He’ll be carrying his own brat soon. God, he hopes his and Historia’s kid will survive. Finally everything is ready and they all walked or rode on the road to the closest town.
They reached into town by late afternoon. The kids whined from being tired and hungry. Even the baby cried from missing her meal time. Luckily, he saw a very familiar Commander.
“Oi Dok.” He called out. The other man glanced to see it was Levi with the rest of the children. Something must have happened.
“Why do you have the orphans with you? Where is the queen?” Commander Dok of the Military Police began to question Levi.
Levi was getting annoyed. He glared at the commander. “I just got back from the capitol to find the property burnt to the ground. Some bodies were burnt too. The kids say the rest adults were killed and thrown to the lake. Historia….the queen was kidnapped. They fucking took her. They took my pregnant wife, Nile.” His voice was shaking with anger and fear. He fears if he doesn’t find her; there is a chance both could be dead.
“Wait what? Who? We need to alert the Premier.” Nile said.
“Come let’s go to the station and I’m sure these kids want to eat and rest.” Nile looked at the kids and felt sorry for them. They must have seen awful things.
Some of the MPs help out the kids that are on the horses off. The horses were sent to the stables to rest and be fed. Once they all entered the headquarters, one of the female MPs attended the kids. The baby that Levi is carrying didn’t want to leave his arms.
“Hey kiddo, she won’t hurt you.” He is trying to calm her down. The thirteenth year old took the baby from Levi which he was gladly that helped. The baby nuzzled onto the girl. The captain watched the kids leaving to the mess hall for food.
“Bye Levi. Promise you will save her.” Kathy ran to hug him tightly.
“Don’t worry I will.” He said. Then he let go of her as she catch up with the group.
Now it was him and Dok. They headed to the office and sat down.
“We need to act fast. Especially the condition her Majesty is in.” Nile said as he started writing the letter.
“I know. Last week she began getting cramps. Very soon my kid will be born.” Levi said.
“I’m still not used to the idea, but I’m sorry what you are going through, Captain. This is every husband and father's worst nightmare.” The MP commander sympathizes with Levi.
The captain was quiet but nodded. “It was the fucking Templars and the Jeagerists. They became allies.” He grabbed the dented cross and aggressively placed it on Nile’s desk. Nile was disturbed of this news. The queen is in grave danger.
“What will you do now?” Nile asked.
“I’m going to pass the message to Hange and my grandfather what had happened then go find those bastards and slaughter them especially Zeke. He is mine.” His tone became dark and sinister.
Dok never saw the captain like this. He had heard his notorious bloodlust when it came to titans. The middle aged man took a glimpse of files about the Ackerman clan. They are the product of titan genes to make them the perfect warriors to protect the royal family and slay titans. They are titans in their human forms. At first, he doesn’t believe it, but seeing Levi’s eyes glowing silver ready to unleash chaos. This gave him chills.
Levi had his hoodie up to cover him. “Will the kids be fine here? I’m putting their lives into your own hands, Commander.” He said as he turned around.
“Of course, we’ll keep an eye on them.” Dok said.
“Good. I gotta go. See you around and thanks.” Levi walked out the room and the chills disappeared from the room. Dok gasped since he didn’t realize he was holding his breath.
Levi got on his horse and rode away to the Capitol. War had been declared. Levi Ackerman and Iapetus are eager to shed blood on the enemies.
They will be praying to their god for mercy.
(unknown location in Wall Sina)
Historia was dragged to a beautiful luxurious bedroom. Her labor has calmed down. She was too weak to fight. Her kidnappers place her on the bed. She sees maids running around preparing for the birth.
“Where is this so called King?” Her voice was weak but still held a stern tone.
“Oh I’m here, my queen.” No, it can’t be true? It’s him.
“You.” Her tone spewed it like acid when she saw Lord Evans.
“Yes, it’s me. The mastermind of all this. Here’s what you will do. You deliver your spawn then get ready for our wedding. I’m already crowned by the High Priest Of the Walls. I have the rightful claim then you. You’re nothing but a bastard borned from sins and lust. But the people adorns you so I’m merciful to make you my queen consort. Your child will have no rights to the throne as it will be a bastard like it’s parents.” He smirked.
“You! YOU’RE A TRAITOR.” Historia’s blue eyes glared at the man.
“My darling, I think it is you that’s the traitor. You being a bastard taking the throne. You have changed what our ancestor King Karl Fritz had worked hard to make sure our kingdom stayed isolated and ignorant from the outside world. And the worst of all, you whore yourself with an Ackerman. Once we get married, I will install the old laws which include prosecuting the last Ackerman line forever. Don’t worry, I will only let your child live for now.” He laughed and walked away.
Historia screamed in fury. This isn’t happening. This is becoming too much. She wants Levi here to comfort her.
“You’re Majesty, I’ll be your head midwife to safely deliver your heir.” The woman who’s in her mid 50’s whispered to the queen.
“Huh? Aren’t you working for Lord Evans? How can I know you will try to fish me out of information for that asshole?” Historia grunted from the pain but her tone was cold. Right now, how can she trust? It seems enemies are everywhere for her.
“My queen, I may work for him, but my loyalty lies with you. You are our queen. The Walls had blessed you to rule this kingdom. It was you who slayed the enormous titan. It was you who protected the people. And it was you who care and listen to the people. You are the People's queen. Now, let’s welcome the crowned princess or prince to this world.” The midwife smiled at Historia then called in her apprentices for assistance.
“These fine ladies are my assistance who are under apprenticeships to study to be a midwife.” Historia glanced to see girls from 13- 20 years of age lined up and pay respect to her with a courtesy. “Your Majesty.” All of the girls greeted her.
Historia was about to say something, but another major contraction appeared. “Ahhh!”
“Alright, girls you know what to do. Have the bowl of cold water ready and drench the towel to cool off her body.” The senior midwife ordered her apprentices as they rushed to prepare. The midwife had Historia get comfortable on the bed laying down. She lifts up Historia’s nightgown to have her legs spread.
The old woman sees the entrance already widen open and barely sees the baby’s head. “Alright, your majesty. On the count of three, you will make a big push. Ready? Now, push.”
Historia lifted her head up as she pushed hard. The pain was unbearable. It felt her back was split in two. The queen screamed in agony. “Ahhhhhh. It hurts! I don’t think I can’t do this.” She pleaded from this awful pain. Is this what her mother endured when she gave birth to her? Maybe that’s why she hated her. Oh god, she doesn’t want to become like her mother and hate her own child.
“Your majesty, you must keep pushing. The head is not out. Your child will die if it's not out to breathe.” The midwife trying to reason with her. One of the girls damped the wet cool towel on Historia’s forehead.
“I-I can’t...I need him here. He’s supposed to be here with me.” the queen began to sob.
“Who? Lord Evans?” another girl asked.
“No, you ignorant child. The father of her majesty’s heir.” The oldest girl said.
Historia felt exhausted but the baby was trying to come out. She feels scared like when Historia was Krista in her Survey Corps years. Those were happy times even if they put their lives in danger from titans.
“L-levi where are you?” The queen whimpered then another pain consumed her.
“Levi? As the Captain Levi Ackerman of the Survey Corps? You’re carrying his child.” The girls gasped from this information.
“Girls! Focus. Worry about chatting later.” The old woman scolded at them.
Historia tried again to push. “Grrrrr-ahhhhh!”
“I see the head is out. You’re doing a good job, my queen.” The midwife said.
As the blonde haired woman paintings, her sight was getting blurring from the dizziness and exhaustion. She breathed in and out. Her face was pale like white sheets covered with swears. Her golden hair was expanded on the pillows but looked dampen. Historia feels like dying from this hellish torture called childbirth.
“Just three more pushes and the baby is out. Promise you.” The old woman said.
Historia gained more strength to make the last three pushes. Her scream had echoed the whole place that Lord Evans and his allies could hear her agony screams.
“The baby is out. You did it, your majesty.” The midwife holds the baby, but the newborn hasn’t made a sound. The midwife was worried. She slapped the newborn’s bottom which finally a crying noise was heard. It was not loud but it’s better than no sound.
“Congratulations to your majesty, he is alive and healthy. Let us clean him and you’ll meet your son.” The old midwife said with a smile. She passed the baby boy to one of her girls as some helped clean up the baby while the rest cleaned up after Historia.
The queen let out a cry of joy from hearing her son’s cries. She did it. She gave birth to Levi’s son. Historia was too weak and distorted. She felt something heavy on her arms and looked down to her it was her baby. “My little miracle. You’re finally here. I’m your mother and I love you so much already.” She whispered to the baby.
The baby opened his eyes to show it’s blue like hers. He inherited Levi’s raven hair and nose. Most of his features are Levi’s only her colored eyes are on him. “Welcome to the world, Atticus Ackerman-Reiss.”
Her son looked at her curiously, but already formed a smile for his mother. This brings Historia with joy. How did her and Levi make this pure angel? He is her everything along with Levi. Then she thought about something that will keep her son safe from Lord Evans, the Jeagerists, and the templars.
“Mrs. Goodman, you said you’re loyal to me right? Please, take my son to the Commander Hange secretly. Lord Evans and his allies will kill him if they see how my boy resembles his father. I beg of you...please.” Historia stared at the woman with pleading eyes.
“You’re majesty, his lordship promises he won’t hurt the prince.” The old woman is trying to reassure her.
Historia shaking her head in disagreement. “No, I don’t trust his promises especially allying with Zeke and his followers and the templars. They burnt the Orphanage down. Children and caretakers died from there. So please take him before they do god knows what awful things they have plans.”
“Your Majesty, I don’t mind taking the baby safely to the Survey Commander.” The eldest girl volunteered. The midwife stared at her. “Are you prepared? You can’t be caught by anyone until you reach there. Do you understand, girl?”
The 20 year old nodded. “Yes, I’m prepared. I will make sure the prince is in safe hands.” She was determined.
“Already child, let’s quickly prepare the child and you to leave. We’ll say the baby struggled to breathe and died within minutes. My queen you must act like a grieving mother to fool them. Can you do that?” The midwife said. Historia nodded.
The apprentices and the midwife begin to get the baby ready which he wraps warmly with a clean blanket. At first, Historia had a hard time to let go of her son; but it’s necessary to do this. She kissed him on his tiny forehead. “Gods...the Walls please as a mother protect him. Protect my only child from harm. I can’t lose him.” her tears stream down. She gave Atticus to the girl who was placed in a basket. Before leaving, Historia asked for a paper and pen to write a note for Hange. Finally, place the note on the basket and watch the girl sneaking away with Atticus to safety.
Historia placed her hands on her face as she sobbed. Already being away from her son is breaking her heart. She feels alone. Soon, she will be forced to marry that despicable asshole. All he would do was to breed her into having more kids than probably kill her off. The queen silently prayed for her warrior to come take her away.
The young apprentice walked hastily on the dark cold road. Lord Nathaniel Evans’ property was far away from the capitol. She covered her head with a blue hood and held the basket carefully. She took a glimpse of the newborn prince who whimpered from feeling not being around his mother. Poor little one, he will be separated from his mother. The girl glanced back at the lights from the estate to see guards patrolling the area. Quickly, she entered the forest to hide from their sight. It’s a good thing, she knows the way through the forest.
Meanwhile back at the Evans estates, Lord Nathaniel barged into the room where Historia had given birth earlier. “What happened? Why is my bride crying like a banshee?” He glared at the blonde petite woman who was on the bed crying hysterical.
“I’m sorry Lord Evans but the child died. He only lasted a few minutes before he was gone.” The midwife made a sad expression. She understands the heartbreak the queen feels.
“A son? And you sure he died?” The nobleman was surprised. Looks like Ackerman’s seed wasn’t that strong as they claim. This is perfect. One Ackerman down. Two more to go.
“Where’s the corpse?” He asked while trying to ignore the wailing sound of Historia grieving.
“We have to cremate the smell that is already getting bad from the decompose.” The midwife continued explaining.
“Do you have the ashes at least?” He kept interrogating the older woman.
“Of course, we put it in a tiny container for her to keep it. A mother’s loss is something not easily forgotten.” She goes to grab the metal container and hands it to him. Nathaniel took it to open the lid to see ashes in it. Then handed back to the midwife.
“Very well, she may keep it as a wedding present.” He glimpsed at Historia who now glared with hatred in her cold blue eyes.
“Don’t give me that look. You will soon forget your dead son. You’ll have plenty of children once we are married. This is a sign of your union with that low level criminal was unbalanced and invalid.” Nathaniel gave a pouch of golden coins to the midwife. “Here, for your service. You may leave. Historia will need to get ready for her wedding.”
The midwife caught the pouch and frowned. “My king, I implore you to let your bride rest. She just gave birth and lost a child. I suggest you postpone the wedding for her health sake.”
“She will be fine. Historia had gone through much worse than losing a half-breed.” He said.
Historia growls in anger. “Fuck you! You don’t get to assume what was the worst I endured! You took everything from me. My orphanage that I worked so hard to have a home for unwanted children. My home where my husband and I built together! And now my child. My son...he only get to fucking live minutes. I hope Levi will come after you and torture you. I will gladly watch while sipping my tea and decorate your head on a spike. That’s my wedding gift to you, oh my dear darling.” The queen felt a slap on her cheek.
“Whore you have no authority towards your true king!” He said with rage. The usurper quickly glared at the midwife and the apprentice which they were terrified for their queen.
“Why haven’t you left? You did your duties and I paid. Leave now!” He yelled at them which they gladly left.
Now it’s him and Historia. The nobleman grabbed her hair to drag her out of the room while Historia began kicking and screaming. He entered another room and there were the maids waiting for their lord’s orders.
“Maids, prepare this bitch for the wedding within a couple hours. I want her in the wedding dress I bought for her. Then escort her on the vehicle so it will take her to the main citadel in the capitol for our wedding and the coronation. By morning the whole island will wake up with a true king and his royal consort. So, be ready Historia, the templars will rule this island and Marley.” He chuckled darkly and shoveled her, Historia fell on the ground. He walked away to go get ready. Behind him, fainted whimpers from Historia were heard as the double doors closed.
(The capitol, Mitras)
One by one templars assassinated higher ups and a personal army from Lord Evans marched into the city. The MPs begin to shoot their rifles. Chaos had started. Civilians woke up from the bloodshed nightmare. Some hid, but others ran for safety.
Meanwhile at the Survey Corps headquarters, the girl finally reached there and knocked the door loud. Quickly, ran away from the building when it opened to see Sasha looked down where the basket was.
“Aww what a cutie?!” Sasha is cooing the baby. Little Atticus began to cry. The soldier freaked out and picked up the basket since the noise of rifles and screams was heard away in the main plaza.
“Let’s get you somewhere safe.” Sasha said and walked to see a note there. She picked it up to read it. Then gasped to know whose child it is. As she holded the basket, Sasha ran to the Commander’s office and pounded the door.
“Commander Hange!” She shouted out then the door opened to see both Hange and William were interrupted in their nightly activity.
“Why do you have a baby with you, Sasha? Remember what we tackled about they are not pets where you can take home.” Hange said.
“Commander please read this note. This is Queen Historia and Captain Levi’s baby.” The soldier gave the note to her higher up. William read from over his girlfriend’s shoulder.
“So the queen had given birth and sent someone to bring the baby here. Lord Evans was behind all this chaos that’s happening now.” Hange frowned.
“We need to find a different location. The templars will come after us and find the baby. They think he died.” Williams said with concern. He picked up his great grandson who stopped crying.
“He needs to be fed.” Bill goes to find baby formula since they have an emergency in case an orphan child is needed.
“We need to leave now, I’ll send a message to Levi that we’re relocating to our secret hideout.” Hange said.
“What about helping the Mps?” Sasha said.
“I will lean some of the scouts for Commander Dok to help out. But I will need my best soldiers to protect the crown prince. He is our hope along Queen Historia. Thank goodness she is still alive, but we need a better plan to get her out. Right now we relocate for his highness’s safety. Plus, Levi will go batshit crazy once he finds out what had happened to Historia.” The Commander already got ready to lead her regiment.
Once she gave the order what was happening, everyone packed up necessary things. The assassins took their best weapons while the soldiers filled up their tanks for their OMD gears. After everything was ready, they left the building abandonment. Some of the soldiers and assassin head to the destruction while the rest leave the city.
(Marley)
Both Mikasa and Reiner were enjoying each other's company when far away they heard guns and screams. They looked at the view to see chaos.
“What the hell is going on? Mikasa please don’t tell me it’s you guys?’ Reiner said.
“What? No, it’s definitely not us. We don’t have firearms.” Mikasa frowned. She goes to grab her clothes to put them back on. “I need to go.”
She felt her arm being grabbed. “Wait, Mikasa...I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to jump into conclusions.” His expression felt guilty.
“It’s fine….I’m just as shocked as you.” She said.
“Will I see you before you leave the island?” He said with hope.
“Yeah, just be careful out there. Meet me at the edge of the city in the south.” She leans to kiss him. “I’ll see you later.” She smiled then stepped back to turn around and leave.
Reiner quickly dressed up and headed out to go to the base first. He hopes everyone is ok and defends their home. It can’t be Paradis. His comrades had been keeping an eye on them for a while. Who could it be that’s invading his home? Maybe it’s those Templars that Mikasa mentioned.
The titan shifter ran fast pace while avoiding getting shot. When he entered the internment zone, he saw his comrade squads already fighting. An enemy stopped him. The blonde man noticed the cross symbol on the other. So it is the templars that Mikasa warned about. Shit, they are fucked.
“Why are you doing this?” He yelled at the templar.
“For the peace and dream of the Templar’s Order.” The man said with pride.
The templar began to attack Reiner which the titan shifter dodged his attack. He’s glad the power of being a titan shifter, his strength and speed are abnormal than an average strong human.
The other man growls in annoyance and charges at him again. Reiner uses his leg to kick the shin of the knee and disarm the firearm to point at the enemy. Without hesitation he shot the templar between his eyes. The blonde Eldian ran towards his comrades.
“Guys, what’s going on? Where’s Gabi and the young candidates?” He asked.
Porco and Pieck turned around to see their Deputy Chief already here. “Our military and government had gone coup d’etat. Most of our higher officials were assassinated. Those devils outsmarted us.” Porco was busy aiming his gun at the enemies. The armies from the shoreline were bombed and not a lot of them survived. Our soldiers are small now.”
“I don’t think it’s the Paradis devils. You know they are not that advanced in technology as we do. The only thing they have is the titans. Eren had most of them. And Zeke will betray us. The colossal titan belonged to another Paradisan named, Armin Arlet. So it’s just us three and a small number of soldiers.” Reiner explained. “We need to go to the base to check to find the rest.”
All three begin to run to the main base. They stopped when on the other side their comrades were shooting at the enemies while vice versa. The templar’s armies had a big machine weapon that shoots ammunition with fast speed.
“Shit, we gotta shift to help our comrades.” Porco was distressed from seeing the bloody sight. Suddenly, Pieck screamed when a bullet shot on her shoulder. She fell from the pain.
“Pieck!” Both men turned to help their fellow female soldier up. Some of the enemies spotted them and aimed their weapons at them. So both Reiner and Porco dragged their friend and comrade to a safer area to be shield from the attack.
“One of us has to distract them. Porco you go take Pieck to the base where they will treat her at the base hospital.” Reiner said.
They were about to protest until they heard two gear sounds and screams from the enemies. Reiner looked around to see it was their lost long comrade, Annie Leonhart.
“A-annie?” Reiner was shook seeing her. He thought she was still a prisoner.
The Female Titan landed in front of them. “It’s been a while guys.”
All three were so happy one of their own had made it home. But they see another blonde figure landed beside her.
“Wait, What the hell what is he doing here? Why do you have our enemy beside you.” Porco frowned as he stared at Armin Arlet.
“Touch him and I wouldn’t hesitate to chop your legs and arms. He’s here to help everyone out against these Templars and their soldiers.” Annie glared at Porco. She will not let anyone harm her boyfriend.
Reiner may have an idea that these two were with Mikasa the whole time for some mission. He can’t judge Annie being involved with their supposed enemy since he is after all with Mikasa earlier.
“Alright, let’s calm down and not jump to conclusions. We have a bigger problem right now.” Reiner used his leadership tone.
“He is right. We need to work together. Forget our past of hatred with each other. This war is us against templars. If they win, we’ll be all screwed. I mean the whole world screw. We all want peace so let’s make it happen together.” Armin's inspirational monologue made them contemplated.
“We’ll have to get to the base quick then.” Reiner said.
“Wait, if we go; they will shoot Armin since he’s a Paradisan.” Porco said while carrying a wounded Pieck.
“I won’t let that happen.” Annie said darkly. Armin felt a hint of a blush from how protective Annie is towards him. They both confessed their feelings when Annie used to be a prisoner and he visited her often.
“Pfft I can’t believe you're fornicating with the enemy.” Porco mumbled.
Annie rolled her eyes at him. “Oh I’m not the only one who had fornicated with an ‘enemy’. Isn’t that right, Reiner?” She glanced at her old friend and comrade. Reiner was flushed from her comment. He coughed. “This isn’t the time to gossip our sex life.” He said in a cool tone. Now, Porco was a bit stunned that his deputy chief also slept with an enemy before, but he is right they have no time for whatever this conversation was. Pieck needs medical attention soon.
“Let’s go. She is losing a lot of blood.” Porco was worried for her. She groaned in pain. All five of them make their way to the war zone between the base and the enemies.
A/N: For those waiting for Annie's appearance. She’s finally here! I was contemplating where to have her appear. So a lot of crazy things had happened in this chapter. Yes, the baby is finally born and his name is Atticus Ackerman-Reiss uwu. He looks like his papa Levi but with Historia’s blue eyes. Tell me what you guys think of this interesting chapter? Yes, there were dark scenes. Also there will be a more dark scene in the next chapter with Historia. War can bring out the darkness in you especially trying to protect your loved ones. Ok, enjoy this chapter guys! Love you all. Until next time.

Careless For Once
TAEYONGxREADER
Smut, light angst, prudence here and there, slightly old-fashioned, life in marriage, signs of doubts, troubled thoughts, romance, selflessness, Taeyong loves Y/N, okay?
25.K+ words (a long-ass one shot)
Enjoy~
Okay, so your husband, Lee Taeyong was naked and standing before yourself. That wasn't too surprising. Not that he tended to be exhibitionist—come to think of it, he is just the opposite, isn't he? He doesn't parade himself around the house as other men might be known to do. But he did say that he was taking a bath. One does tend to be stripped for such a procedure. You heard the water running. So, obviously, he had something important—possibly urgent, considering his unusual state of undress—to say to you. So you waited in expectation.
He spoke, rather in a monotone, almost, "I think you need to be clean as well."
You considered your state of cleanliness. You had a shower the night before, and while you might enjoy a nice bath, it didn't really seem time for it. "Perhaps tomorrow morning," you replied, curtly.
"No, I think sooner than that." He was curt as well. Perhaps not curt, but a bit... forceful. This was odd. He was not one to remark on your hygiene. You cared for yourself in a proper, expected way, and no one complained about your state of filth or of any unacceptable odors. Nor did he. But here he is, naked as a newborn, not yet having his bath, telling you of your need to be cleansed. Most irregular.
And you said so. "Look here, I don't think you have any place to be telling me of ..."
Well, you tried to say so, but then Taeyong rudely interrupted. "Actually, I think you need to have a bath." Then he paused a moment. "Now." And before you knew what was happening, he had reached beneath your thighs and back, chuckling, and was carrying you away to the bathroom.
You didn't want to struggle, lest he dropped you, and then you would be injured, possibly seriously. So instead, you began in a torrent of words meant to break that smile from his face and to cease from such unacceptable activity. "Put me down! I think that enforced bathing is illegal in this country and you don't even have a license! I am really not prepared to get wet, in any case, because my hair... well, my hair is up, but that shouldn't make any difference, it might get wet which would be disastrous—just horrible. And you don't think... no, you wouldn't really put me in the bath with all my clothes—that would just be monstrous—OH!" Still chuckling, he placed you gently into the steaming tub.
Well, you thought, at least the temperature is to my liking. Sizzling hot. "For a bath, this is not very relaxing. To be shanghaied from my place on the couch and then placed in the water fully clothed... it will take all day to dry these clothes!"
Taeyong knelt beside you and replied, "They would be easier to dry if they were off." Then he began unbuttoning your blouse.
Ah, so that's his game. All right, then. I suppose we ought to just enjoy it. That's what I'm supposed to do, isn't it? You leaned back in the bath and closed your eyes. After erasing all thoughts of knives and straight pins digging into his flesh, you realized the possibilities here. Here you were, in an unexpected bath, with a personal servant to undress you, caress you, coddle you and fondle you. This could be pleasant indeed.
Taeyong noticed your visible relaxation and kissed your closed eyes. "That's right. Take some time for yourself. I'll give you whatever you need."
Your blouse was fully unbuttoned and now he was clumsily working on your bra. You sat up and released it, then took it off. Your breasts floated, being fully supported by the water. The unbuttoned white shirt lay about you. You threw the shirt about yourself, in mock modesty. "I can't have you looking at my..." Taeyong smiled wider. You looked at your chest and found that your breasts were fully visible through the thin, white, wet garment. "Well, I suppose it doesn't really matter," you said as you stripped off the shirt.
Your denim skirt and underwear came off quickly and easily. Taeyong gathered up the clothing and rung the soaking garments out in the bathroom sink and hung them up.
Temporarily alone, you allowed your heartbeat to cease racing, sitting back in the tub, and forcing yourself to rest. His attack had unsettled you considerably, and though his intentions were honorable, the method was, shall we say, somewhat unorthodox. You had never been exposed to such a blatant display of testosterone, not by him, even as quiet as it was. In approaching things of amour, Taeyong had always been a gentleman—admittedly, somewhat childish and selfish—but gentle and considerate of your feelings and of your need to adjust to a new mood. However, this time he had given no signal of lovemaking, no warning of his desire. Instead, he blindsided you, putting you in a mood of... danger, almost.
It is a bit exciting, you admitted, and allowed your heartbeat to increase a bit. It isn't every day a woman is gently ravaged by someone who loves her. Someone who desires her in such a way that he had to respond instantly, on impulse. Picking her up without warning. Putting her in a tub of water in order to be passionate with her. Stripping her gently under his adoring eyes. That's not so bad, really, is it?
Of course not. Nevertheless, it would be nice to take some revenge—in a loving manner, of course. You could plot and plan as well as the next woman. And take great pleasure in the results of your plotted torture. Oh, yes, you can plan. And he will regret. (All for Taeyong's benefit, of course, she assured herself.)
"All right," he spoke, commandingly, but gently, "it is time to clean you up."
"All right," she mocked in a friendly manner. Then her voice went meek and pleading, "But... what will you use to clean me up, sir?"
He reached across you and grabbed the Dove and a washcloth. Firmly, he replied, "Just this: soap, water, and a cloth. Please kneel and the cleaning shall begin."
You reinterpreted to yourself: the pampering shall begin. You planned to enjoy this thoroughly. You got up onto your knees, then sat on your feet and rested your chest on your legs, arms at your sides, curled up in a ball. "Please," you continued in a squeaky, pleading voice, "don't hurt me."
Taeyong's firm tone softened a bit, but he was still in character, "Don't worry, little miss. I'll take good care of you." You trembled slightly, part in your playact to show trepidation, part in real anticipation of his touch.
You were a woman who felt love at the touch of a soft caress. Without the touch, without physical closeness that had no hint of a selfish, sexual drive behind it, then in your heart of hearts, you could not be assured that you were loved. Intellectually you could acknowledge it. Your mind could assure you that you were really loved, but assurance in your deepest self would always be evaded unless you were gently caressed with direct intent.
Your husband, Taeyong, of course, was a man for whom touch was practically foreign. He grew up in a household where touch was not quite forbidden, but certainly never encouraged. Early on, when you were dating and engaged, he fawned on yourself, touching you constantly. You were not sure until later that his seductive fingers were, in reality, paws, longing for the sexual release and freedom that could not happen until you were married. But that never bothered you.
But he turned into a man who never showed you love...no, wait, that just wasn't true. He rarely showed you love in the manner in which you can truly, deeply feel it. You were confident in his love. Although his attentions waned in later years, focusing on work, a family of his, and the others who constantly came to the house, he would always take occasion to show that he cared for you. He would take you out to dinner. He would call you when it was unnecessary. He would give you little gifts. Basic romance stuff. But his touch...let's just say it was rare. Instead of sitting next to you on the couch, he chose a chair—as independent and full as an opportunity for thought as he is. And if you sat next to him on the couch, he would be briefly stiff and then relax, but he would not reach his hand to you.
Admittedly, Taeyong was tired. And he would converse with difficult people all day. And "touch" wasn't in his vocabulary of love unless you added some form of the word "sex" with it. You often sighed, disappointed at his distance.
And then sometimes, out of the blue, a light would come on within him, and he would scratch the back of your neck, softly. Or he might softly squeeze your shoulders for ten minutes. Or—a blessing of all blessings—he might take the time to give you a full backrub—no strings attached. That last was rare, very rare. On the occasional birthday, when you didn't need to sleep more than anything else in the world. Or the romantic anniversary. And thus did his displays of love descend.
Like God, you knew that he loved you, but only occasionally did Taeyong display it in action rather than in dusty, oft-repeated words of the past.
And so you trembled in anticipation. Even though the touch came through a cloth, rubbed with soap. Even though he was anticipating his own pleasure in a few minutes, or perhaps an hour. Even though he still wasn't recognizing your deepest need. You wanted this. Wanted a touch of love more than life.
Your back was fully exposed and he very gently rubbed the whole length and width of it, until small bubbles foamed all over your back. Being fully convinced of its cleanliness, he set aside the cloth and placed his fingertips on your skin. His caresses were firm—but not hurting—and the film of the soap causing each touch to be silky and smooth. You sat warm in the tub, your legs and front fully surrounded by the hot water and your back and shoulders lovingly warmed by his flat palms. After an infinitely brief time—perhaps ten minutes—he said in a soft version of his commanding character, "Up, on your knees, now. We have to clean the rest of you." And the pleasure was over.
Well, over for you. He took great delight in soaping up your chest, your buttocks, your pubic area, your thighs. Again, he dropped the washcloth. Taeyong climbed in the tub with you, kneeling behind you and reached around to cup your breasts. He fondled you all over, moaning his pleasure. Fingering your nipples, cupping your groin, squeezing your butt and rubbing them over and over.
His pleasure made you dizzy. In some way, you enjoyed his sudden yet slow approach down the road that has but one climax for two. His pawing was pleasant like you were overlooking a child taking great pleasure in brushing your hair, although he was mussing it all up. You were too cold, out of the water. Your nipples were hard, but not from pleasure and his touching was slightly unpleasant. You were gaining little out of the rubbing of her buttocks, but the somewhat pleasant touch. The touching of your pubic area was personal and intimate, but not sexy.
Did Taeyong think he was doing this for you? That he was causing waves of pleasure in you? No. His erection sticking up between your two buttocks, (for he had pushed it in with his pelvis) showed you that. He was not aware of your responses, but his eyes were closed to allow all of his sensory functions to focus on his hands, the touch he was receiving. Obviously, he felt that he had given you what you wanted, for now. And though he planned to "focus on you" in a little bit, he was taking what he wanted, for the moment. That was fine, you thought. But let's give him a little more. Or more than a little.
You took the discarded soap and rubbed it on your hands. Then you reached behind yourself and caressed the tip of his hard cock. Taeyong moaned at that, all right, and squeezed your breasts a little more, causing just a little pain. All right, you thought, let's do this. You turned around to him and saw his closed eyes and his dry skin except for his legs. "Tsk, tsk," you scolded like a kindergarten schoolmarm, "you are still all dirty. This will not do."
You wet him down, got more soap, and began soaping him down thoroughly. You rubbed his chest and back, seductively lathering them, having to press your chest into him to reach around to his back. You lathered his neck and legs, using your fingernails to scratch his skin with pleasure. You bent down to reach his buttocks and took the opportunity to give a little lick to his cock. Then you set into foaming up his groin, lingering at his tip. Taeyong backed off a bit then, saying, "We don't want to go too far." You smiled. Then you rinsed yourself and him off, front and back.
Taeyong slunk down for a moment, a bit weary from pleasure. You could tell that he was "steeling himself up" to work on your sexual desire. But before he could rise, you pressed into him, wrapping your arms about his neck, and allowing his face to touch your bare breasts. It was time. You queried seductively, "Do you know what I want?" You backed a bit and began rubbing his nipples. Taeyong sat down in the lukewarm water, eyes widening, placing his legs on either side of you. Perfect. You bent down on top of him, your breasts resting on his hard cock, forcing it down on his stomach. You whispered again, "Do you know what I want?" Again, he made noises that "we" don't want him to climax too soon.
You ignored his plea, kissing his chest and licking his nipples, hard and quick. You lifted up your face to his, breathing the words onto him, "I know what you want." You sat up, your opening, wet with excitement (although emotionally you were not ready for sex), rested on his dick and you rubbed a bit. He moaned, "Not yet. Let's focus on you." You chuckled. "But that's not what you want." You rubbed a finger through his hair, around his neck, and let it descend to his nipple. You licked it and let the saliva lubricate between his nipple and your finger, while your pussy softly thrust on his erection. "You want to be wet. You want me to rub you." Beneath your hand on his chest, you could feel his heartbeat racing. "You want my body on you. You want to be surrounded by me. You want to be smothered by my softness"
You raised herself up, pressing your breasts into his face and picked up his cock inserting the tip into yourself. "You want to moan with pleasure. You want to touch me all over." Slowly, you descended upon him and he grabbed your buttocks. "Oh," Taeyong moaned. And you moaned with him, for him, "Oh, I feel you inside. How lovely you feel." Taeyong started to make cautionary noises again until you pulsed on him. "Come on," you spoke slowly, "put your hands on my breasts," you pulled at his arms until he grabbed your chest, longingly. "Squeeze my nipples, just a little." It was slightly uncomfortable for you, but he enjoyed it. You continued with your patter, " Come on, baby. Squeeze me. Kiss me. There, please. Oh, yes. Do you feel me?" Taeyong nodded. You thrust down harder, "Press yourself inside of me—yes... Oh, how I want you, I want you, I want you..." Suddenly, Taeyong exploded inside of you, feeling him tense up and then release. You continued moving on him until he motioned for you to cease.
After his breathing became normal, you got up off of him, turned to let the water out, and grabbed a towel, drying yourself off. "But," he said, "you didn't get a chance to.." Guilt and exertion made his face red. Your sweet revenge was all set up.
You smiled wickedly. "You never answered my question." He faltered a moment. "You know...? My question?" You repeated for him slowly, "Do you know what I want?"
Taeyong was clearly confused. His previous agenda for the evening was foiled by your sudden turnabout and he wasn't sure where he stood. He got up and you came up close to him and handed him a towel. You asked again, seductively "Do you know what I want?" You kissed his neck and stroked his shoulder.
Quickly, his thinking mechanism returned to its usual working state. "Ummm... a backrub?"
You smiled and backed away. "Right. Now get wiped off and come into the bedroom, please. But not too quickly..." you added. "I've got a couple of things to set up and I want you dried with no goop on you." You glanced down at the white/clear fluid on his groin. He got the message. "Oh, and don't bother putting on any clothes," you concluded cheerily, "we're not done yet."
Entering nude into the bedroom, you realized that he wasn't done with his surprises yet. The bed was straightened up and the covers pulled back. The pillows were neatly set, with a piece of chocolate on each one. Towels were set on the mattress, neat and flat. The sill on top of the headboard was decorated with a row of candles, dimly lit. And in the background, some Blues was playing softly, romantically.
Oooh, you thought. He hadn't just planned to throw you in the bath and have his way with you. He had a small romantic evening planned. How sweet, you inwardly gushed and gave him credit for his overall plan. You started to regret your thwarting of his plans, but then you erased your repentance. "Actually," you mused, "isn't this what the best of marriage is about? Taking two plans and putting them together to make one fantastic one? Too bad it doesn't work that way usually."
You lowered the covers further and set another towel on your side of the bed, still muttering, "Usually marriage is either one person getting what they want and the other person not, or some compromise is reached where both parties have less than they want. We've done pretty well," you said as you smoothed the bedclothes, "although I've made a lot of sacrifices. Well, he has too. It just... doesn't seem like he has made as many. Maybe that's just the way it is between men and women. A woman wants the pleasure of her man more than he wants her pleasure." You heard him coming, so you quieted down.
Taeyong came in, cleaned up and dried with a towel around his waist and another draped on his arm. "How can I serve you, ma'am?"
You smiled and kissed his cheek. "I love the way you set up the room. It was really thoughtful of you."
Remaining straight-faced, he said, "All part of the service, ma'am. Now, how can I help you?"
"Oh yes... one last thing." You ran out of the room and returned from the living room, just as quickly. In your hand was a phone with timer all set up to 55 minutes. You set it on the nightstand on the other side of the room.
You stood before your stony-faced husband and said, "Taeyong-ssi, I want you to rub my back until that timer dings. You may use some lotion, but I would prefer no oil." You sat on the towels on the bed. "I shall be lying here."
Taeyong answered, "Ma'am, I have two questions."
You laid down, with your arms to your side. "Yes, Taeyong-ssi, what is it?"
"First, what if you fall asleep? Should I wake you?"
Humph, you thought. I should be asking you that question. "If I fall asleep, let me sleep and I will dream of you rubbing my back. Nothing could be better."
"Very well, ma'am. One other question. Since you have not a stitch of clothing on—a fact I greatly admire and appreciate—do you wish me to rub only that which one might call 'the back' or to perhaps cover all of your 'back', from neck to foot?"
"As you see fit, Taeyong-ssi. Although I do wish that I had shaved my legs in the tub."
"You could do so now, ma'am."
"Enough. The timer is running."
"Yes ma'am." And, kneeling beside the bed, he began.
* * *
3rd person/1st person
He set to the task, for the task it was. It was difficult enough to stay awake to give a long backrub, let alone to figure out what he should do during the backrub. Over the years he had given her many backrubs, usually, the longest was a half-hour. Of course, he thought, she wouldn't consider them many. Perhaps two a year. I suppose two a year is a paltry sum when one's goal is to have a backrub every night. But he did give her other, "unofficial" backrubs—a rub on the neck, exercising her shoulders, the gentle caress here and there. But it couldn't be done all the time. Life is simply too busy.
To start with tonight, he did not use lotion but simply his fingers, barely touching her, raising goosebumps on her flesh. He drew circles on her, caressed her, using his fingernails, his open palm and the heel of his hand. He gently relaxed the back of her neck, her shoulders and shoulder blades. He wanted to linger at her buttocks, to perhaps caress the side of her breasts, or spread her legs open and move his fingers about in her vagina. But he knew better. He knew that the pleasure she wanted was touch, pure and simple, free without a demand.
Sex, of course, isn't really a demand, he thought. It's a pleasure for both of us. It is something we both work on for the pleasure and satisfaction of both of us. That's what makes her action in the tub so confusing. She was doing that all for me—and I didn't have an opportunity to bring her along. Of course, I did kind of startle her. Maybe she just wasn't ready. Or maybe a backrub is really what she wanted tonight. Well, I could have given her one after she climaxed. Of course, it really did feel good. Just... too fast. I'd really like to try it again. But she really doesn't seem interested. He mentally shrugs, A backrub it is, then.
...
He reached over to pick up the lotion. He pumped a number of times until a mound of the goopy stuff raised upon his hand. He rubbed it between his hands for a bit until it was almost body temperature. Then he slathered on your back, working it in from your shoulder to her waist. Your skin drank it in—dry, as usual. He got more lotion and slathered it on again, focusing on your legs this time.
It's odd, he thought. Why wouldn't she be interested in sex more? Well, it isn't that she isn't interested—she enjoys it, that's for sure. But for me, I feel that when she really focuses on giving me pleasure in sex, I feel so close to her... no. Wait. That isn't it. I don't feel close to her when I go. In fact, sometimes when we're just "taking care of me" then I feel sexually satisfied but still lonely. Separated. It's only when we both gain pleasure—when it's really "good". But what makes it "good"? Is it the pleasure we feel? No, because we can both enjoy it, but it still seems shallow. As if we are just going through the motions.
Admittedly, that's what we usually do. Go through the motions. A little non-direct touching, then some caressing of her breasts. I caress her nipples, then lick them, then I get some lubrication and caress her just above her clitoris. Then she's ready to go. Usually, she'll lick my nipples a bit, I touch her some more in her vagina and we're ready to go. I get on top of her and rhythmically push just a little inside her and she climaxes. Then we might do her again, or we might go with me—long strokes and I've released and I'm outta there. That's our normal, usual sex—when I can keep it up or don't release myself too soon. It's okay. We like it. But that's not how I feel close to her.
There are some times... some times that we just feel so intimate. It's amazing, almost mystical. Early in our marriage, I did think of it as mystical. As if we were two beings, merging into one. "One flesh" really described it. Perhaps it was just an emotional experience, but it was real to me. Very real. Central, almost. I wanted to have that experience all of the time. Perhaps that what junkies feel, that high. I can understand not wanting to ever turn away from it.
But, in reality, in marriage, eventually that feeling does fade. Sex is good, a part of life, but it isn't blissful. It isn't a great high. Except sometimes. Sometimes you still reach it. The intimacy climaxes in sex, but it usually doesn't begin there. You talk... about stuff. Whatever you talk about. Books. Movies. Possibilities of having kids one day. The problem of the week. He caresses you. Not in a sexual way. Taeyong has to focus on that if he can do it. His mind—either it's sex all the time or none of the time. No middle ground.
Then... what? What is it that makes it good for both of us? When I look at her and get that feeling of how lovely she really is? Maybe it's when we both really give each other pleasure. Or when I know that she is really excited. Or maybe it happens when we do something new, spontaneous, unthought-of—breaking out of our usual pattern. Hmm. If that were so, then what she did for me in the tub would have been great. But it was just me, not her.
Or is it ever just good for me? Maybe I'm just fooling myself. Maybe I'm the one who really feels connected, feels at peace at those times. Maybe she doesn't feel it at all. Maybe for her, she just gets pleasure from it and enjoys my pleasure, my surrender. But that's all. Does she feel love? The intensity I feel? The feeling that it isn't just me going into her, organs rubbing against each other. But that it is in some way her going into me—us connecting, merging. Does she ever feel that?
Taeyong's hands' massage your back still. The lotion is worked in and your skin is smooth and soft. Not greasy, but without creases. Almost without blemishes. Nothing for the hand to get caught on. He massages deeply, but not so hard that there is discomfort. The hand and fingers slide over the skin, as a skateboard slides down a ramp in a park. Ski on the snow. Perhaps a ski takes pleasure in just the simple movement over packed snow. A satisfaction that it was made to glide, to pass effortlessly, without friction over fields of white. Maybe that is the same kind of pleasure you are feeling now. That in receiving a backrub, you are experiencing what your skin was made for. Affection.
He remembered when he first started giving you backrubs, near the beginning of your marriage. Of course, you wanted backrubs before you were married and he gave them to you—other rubs, as well, he recalled. But they weren't "official" backrubs. They were dry, and while you enjoyed them, you didn't relax like you did after you were married. That seemed to be real enjoyment for you—total relaxation and separation from all that you have been doing that day. You would try different oils, different candles, some music—whatever you could to bring peace and romance and togetherness to your crazy lives.
Things were crazy. I was crazy. Why did I get so upset all the time? Things were fine when people were over or when they were working... but every once in a while when it was just the two of them... Well, maybe it was more than every once in a while. Maybe it was more often than I would want to think. I was a jerk. No, I never hit her. But I yelled. Controlling bastard, that's what I was. Why couldn't I just let her be who she was? Why couldn't we make our decisions together civilly? Of course, sometimes it wasn't a matter of decisions. It was a matter of who cared more. We knew who cared more by who through a fit first. So stupid.
But the nights that the first year, <ou were lovely. Not every night, but every other night you would get naked with one another and play. Just relax and have a good time. Have sex, read, sleep, talk. You had all this energy for each other. You would stay up until one or two or three, just to be together.
You are so worn now. It's a good night if Taeyong can stay up past eleven. You talk, but mostly about "issues" or the latest read. What you did or learned about others during the day. Everyone is falling apart, it seems, and you are there to fix them. Although you never do. Mostly you just watch people slowly fall apart. Or slowly get better. Depending. Sometimes you don't even have time to talk. You read, but you don't read "together" anymore. Actually, maybe you never did. Taeyong didn't know just how caught up you get in a book. That's how come you couldn't hear him set up the bedroom or wonder why it was taking him so long to take a bath. Lost in a book.
He smiled. You are so cute, he thought. He looked down at you, eyes closed, mouth slightly open. Long hair braided and put on top of your head. Straight back, round butt, strong, thick thighs, and beautiful legs. Toes that are kind of crooked that they seem broken. Cute.
The timer went off. Taeyong got up, walked across the room, and turned it off. You sat up. He asked, "Did you fall asleep?"
"Nope. I was just relaxing."
He sat down beside you. "Pretty deep relaxing."
"I guess so. But I felt every stroke." You placed your hand on his shoulder and bent your head to kiss him. As your lips parted, you whispered, "Thank you."
Taeyong looked into your eyes—peace, with only a touch of your usual weariness. "No problem."
You grinned at him. "That's good." You laid back down, on your back this time. "This time I want you to do the front."
Taeyong was shocked for a moment, wondering how he could stay awake for another hour, just touching you. "Really?"
"Yes, really." You took his hand and placed it on your breast. "Feel the heartbeat?"
He was pleasantly shocked. "Y-yes."
You glanced down at his groin. "Just as I thought. If you felt the beating of my heart, you would have the energy to get up again."
Taeyong hesitated. "Do you really want that?"
You sat up and kneeled before him, kissing his lips. At the same time, you reached down with her hand and stroked his hardening member. "I really want you," you whispered. Then you laid down again. "Now, do my front."
He willingly obliged. "But if I'm going to do your front, I'm going to do all of it."
"Hmm. What do you mean by that?"
"Open your legs, and you'll see." And you did.
* * *
As you lay on the bed, still, after exertions, you breathed quietly, "That was fun. Very enjoyable."
Taeyong grinned at your praise. "Yes, it was. It was a good idea, you think?"
You turned your head to look at him. "Fine idea. Especially the way you set up the room. Very nice. But it was really more of an impulse than anything else, don't you think?"
Taeyong replied, "Not the room. It took me a half-hour to set that up without you hearing me. But," he admitted sheepishly, " Picking you up and set you in the tub, fully clothed—that wasn't completely thought out. I wouldn't normally act so...careless."
You lay your head down on his shoulder. "Of course." You paused for a moment and placed your hand on his chest. "It was all very nice, though. Even putting me in the tub." He looked surprised. "It was exciting, in a way. It set my mind thinking about new possibilities that I wouldn't have thought about before."
"Nice possibilities."
"Mmmm."
Taeyong gazed in your eyes and then lightly pressed his lips on yours, as you closed your eyes. As the close proximity comforted you, your lips barely a millimeter apart, you spoke, with your eyebrows descending, "But don't you EVER do that again!"
With a smirk plastered on his handsome face, Taeyong playfully replies. "What? Plop you fully-clothed in a bathtub?", but far from his expectation, you reciprocated with words you wish you'd say more so often to him, a genuine smile full of fondness reaching your eyes.
"Never doubt us and our way of loving."

Steve Rogers x Natasha Romanoff (part 7)
Steve reached his bedroom shortly after he managed to escape his arguing teammates and as soon as he sat on his bed he let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding.
“What a mess…” he mumbled to himself as his back hit the mattress, his feet still pressed to the ground.
He stared at the ceiling, the voices from the hallway just barely reaching him. Millions of questions were swirling in his head, though he wasn’t sure whether he truly knew the answer to any of them, nor if he actually wanted to know. But somehow, despite his best efforts to brush them off, they just kept coming back to him stubbornly. Was Tony right about his feelings after all? And if so, would he really be willing to help him out or did he just see this as a new opportunity to mock him? What about Clint?
His train of thought was interrupted by a knock on the door.
Steve closed his eyes feeling the annoyance slowly taking over his body, his mind coming up with various ways to murder the insufferable billionaire.
He was about 2 seconds away from calling Tony all the names under the sun when the door slowly opened, revealing the figure standing in the doorway.
Relief washed over Steve and his anger subsided when he was met with the sight of a young brunette with a sheepish look on her face rather than the one of the know-it-all genius he had been dreading. He smiled and motioned her to come inside. She hesitated for a second longer before closing the door behind her and sitting next to him.
“Are you okay?” Wanda asked, her voice laced with concern.
“Yeah, just a bit cranky” Steve chuckled trying to brush it off. “Didn’t really get enough sleep last night”
Wanda just stared at him for a long moment and he felt so exposed under her thoughtful gaze. It was almost as if she knew what he was thinking, what he was feeling. She averted her gaze to her lap where she was fiddling with her fingers, frowning slightly.
“You know you can talk to me, Steve”
The soldier sighed, admitting defeat almost instantly. He knew that there was no point in trying to put up a front for her because he knew she could read all of them like an open book. And after all, this conversation was bound to happen at some point, so they might as well get it over with.
“I know, but… I’m still a bit confused about my own feelings and I just… I don’t know where to start.” He said truthfully and ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.
“Maybe start by explaining what happened in the kitchen? With Tony…?” she suggested and Steve took a deep breath before telling her everything that happened these last few days: from the first time he felt that foreign feeling in his chest while they were watching movies, to his outburst this morning and lastly: what Tony had to do with any of it.
“And what do you say about Tony’s idea?” Wanda asked him, a glint in her eye as she studied him.
“I…” Steve stopped and thought about his last conversation with Tony.
“Maybe if you weren’t so damn stubborn you would’ve just accepted your feelings for Nat and tried to figure out a way to tell her instead of acting like a child”
Then another image appeared in his head. Fiery red hair, a confident smirk playing on perfect, soft lips and finally the slightly daring look in those piercing green eyes. And just like that, the answer became clear as day. He felt heat creeping up his neck, his face turning a deep shade of pink. “I think he might be right.”
It took everything in Wanda to suppress the smile threatening to break out on her face. Needless to say, the fangirl inside of her was doing a little victory dance while screaming in joy.
“Do you think…” Steve paused and sat upright, fidgeting nervously. It was quite an endearing sight, seeing a man his age, reputation and physique being so antsy because of a crush. “Do you think there’s a chance that she likes me back?”
Wanda’s eyes softened and she reached out to put her soft hand on top of his and squeezed it ever so slightly. She opened her mouth to reassure him, to say that yes, of course Nat likes him back. But she stopped herself when she remembered the scene she had witnessed just before leaving the kitchen: Natasha and Bucky engulfed in a conversation, their faces much too close for a casual talk and a hint of disappointment covering Natasha’s features when he pulled away. Wanda’s inner struggle must’ve been showing on her face because Steve looked at her questioningly.
“I’ll try to find out” she forced a smile, hoping it didn’t look as fake as it felt. He studied her face for a second before smiling back at her genuinely.
“Thank you, Wanda” he said gratefully as he pulled her into a side-hug. She leaned into him, her thumb gently rubbing circles on his hand. When she looked up at his pure blue eyes, she prayed to anyone who would hear her that her eyes had deceived her this morning, that her assumption was wrong.
He doesn’t deserve heartbreak. Especially not the one as cruel as that. She thought to herself, her heart twisting painfully in her chest at the mere thought of that possibility.
Just then, the door swung open and Clint walked in without knocking (a really annoying habit of his if you ask any of the other residents of the tower).
”Wanda, you-” his voice died in his throat as he caught sight of the two of them. He stood there for a few seconds, an unreadable expression on his face, before Steve cleared his throat and snapped him out of his thoughts.
“Sorry… Bruce called. You. To, umm… come out. I mean, he, uh… ” Clint fumbled over his words and the pair watched him in utter confusion. He took a deep breath and seemingly gathered his thoughts, because the next words that came out of him mouth were more coherent. “Bruce sent me to tell you that he’s waiting for you in the lab and that he needs your help with something.”
The look of realization flashed over Wanda’s face and she jumped to her feet.
“Oh God, I totally forgot about that. Thank you Clint” she patted his shoulder as she passed him and rushed to the door, but stopped just before exiting and turned to Steve once again.
“I’ll talk to you later”
They shared a small smile before she slipped out and he was left alone with the archer.
“So…” Clint started, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked like the embodiment of discomfort and everything from his posture to the look on his face screamed awkward but Steve couldn’t tell why for the life of him.
Steve gave him a questioning look which Clint didn’t catch because his refused to meet his gaze. Not knowing what else to do, he stood up and walked over to his comrade, putting a steady hand on his shoulder.
“Are you okay?”
“I should be the one asking you that” Clint laughed dryly. “Though you seem to be in a better mood now.”
“Yeah, I actually am.” Steve smiled to himself, thinking of his conversation with Wanda from mere minutes ago.
“Look, Steve” Clint said as he finally looked the soldier in the eye, a sudden seriousness washing over his features. “Tony told me about certain problems you’ve been having concerning you love life and although he took his time beating around the bush he managed to get his point across. And I-”
He stopped himself and took a deep breath. It was evident that he was distraught and struggling to put his thoughts into words, but in all honesty his friend was in no better condition. Steve felt his stomach drop at Clint’s words and color drained from his face in horror.
Clint knew. Tony freaking told him and Clint knew and now he’s here to confront him and if Steve ever gets out of here alive (both physically and mentally) their team will be consisting of one less member by the end of the day.
“Clint, I-”
“No, Steve” the other cut him off with determined voice, but he seemed less stern now and more concerned. “Just listen, okay? I’m sure that Tony has tortured you enough already and I have no intention of doing that. It’s just that… Are you sure? ”
The question threw him off.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, are you sure that you like her?”
“Of course I do” he responded quickly, feeling slightly offended. Why would Clint ask such a preposterous question? What was there not to like about Natasha? Clint of all people should know just how likable she was considering the amount of time he spends with her. Despite still feeling a bit defensive, Steve realized that in reality he himself actually came to terms with his feelings only recently. He sighed and added a bit more calmly: “I mean, now I’m sure of it. It took me some time to figure it out, but now that I think about it, I feel like there’s a chance I’ve always felt that way towards her. I just hadn’t realized it.”
They stared at each other in silence for a few moments, Steve’s face painted with newfound determination and certainty while Clint studied him intently. Then, his expression changed into a more relaxed one, corners of his lips turning up slightly as a small smile replaced his frown.
“I trust you Cap. I really do.” He said with a genuine voice. “I just wanted to check if you were serious about this. About her.”
He put his hand on Steve’s shoulder and gave it one firm squeeze which somehow felt both like a reassurance and a warning. “She’s like family to me. Don’t break her heart.”
With those words, he turned around and left the room, closing the door behind him. Steve couldn’t bring himself to move even after Clint’s footsteps could no longer be heard from the hall. The conversation took a really unexpected turn and he kept replaying it in his head, trying to let it sink in.
Did Clint really just tell him that he doesn’t have romantic feelings for Natasha, while also giving him a blessing to try to win her over?

Nate and Dave Ch. 10
So… I have a boyfriend now.
My first boyfriend, huh. And he’s a werewolf. And according to him, we’re each other’s soulmate.
Lucky guy I am to have found my soulmate so quickly in my life, huh? And there’s people who say that high school romances won’t last. I mean… Anything could happen but he and I are made for each other or something like that?
Dave did seem a lot more affectionate know that we’re officially dating, and that’s pretty nice. He was driving towards my house, and I thought it would be pretty nice to have him at my place tonight. Our first night together as boyfriends, huh.
Sounds nice to think about it.
The jock couldn’t help but smile each time I looked at him, and again, he took any chance he had to stop the car and look at me with loving eyes.
“What?” I asked, as we were about to arrive at my house.
“N-Nothing, it’s just that…” He stopped talking for a while to concentrate on the road, and take the last turn. “I’m just so happy to be your boyfriend, bro”
Who would think that big mean Dave is actually a piece of cake on the inside? Bah, the soulmate bond made him act like this but I’m not going to complain, he’s still an amazing guy.
He stopped in front of my house and turned the car off. “You really want me to spend the night with you? I can give you space if you want, babe. You don’t have to feel forced to anything—”
“It’s still, I wouldn’t have brought it up if I didn’t want you around” I said, trying to give him my best smile to reassure him.
Dave nodded, and we left the car. He ran around it and stopped next to me, then placed his arm around my shoulder, but this time he managed to control his strength to avoid putting extra pressure on my body.
He was getting better at controlling himself, huh!
We entered my house, and walked straight to my room. House alone again, we had to make the most of our time together.
The puppy boy followed me with a dumb grin, probably waiting for me to say something to him. He came a while ago, but I could tell by his bulge that he was horny and out for another round already.
“What do you wanna do, bruh?” Dave asked, after we entered in my room. I closed the door behind me, for safety reasons, and walked up to him. The jock was incredibly excited, and his eyes darted around with much more energy than he usually seemed to have.
This had become a habit for me by now, with Dave around a lot of the time at my room or myself going with Dave to his place and spending the night. It was a nice thing, and I felt like it wouldn’t get old soon. It would probably be easier at university…
I did have an urge to tell him to strip all his clothes and just stay there for me to admire him. It was weird, but at the same time, it wasn’t? I don’t know how to explain it, it’s like a dominant side of me just appeared lately and I was okay with it.
It’s not like an urge to mistreat Dave or hurt him, but more like use my bond with him for more… close action, if that makes sense?
I did feel a bit bad for using him like that while he declared his love for me, again. But at the time it was like something natural to do. Like it was right for me to play with my puppy boy.
“Uhm… Wanna play for a while?” I said, nervousness returning to my voice.
“Say no more” He grabbed me from the back and the legs and lifted me. Then, Dave carried me over to my bed, and softly left me on the edge. After that, the jock kneeled in front of me and held his hands like a pleading puppy, looking up at me with his tongue lolling out.
“I meant the ps4 but… this’ll work too. Just like when the day we met…” I whispered, looking down at him and softly caressing his face. He looked really cute when he was zoned out like this. “Hey boy, paw” I said, holding my hand out for him.
The jock placed his own hand on top of mine. I grabbed it and pulled him closer “Geez, you’re heavy…!” I mumbled, trying to move him to lay down with me. He seemed to hear me out, because his body suddenly started to be as easy to move as a big rag doll. “Oh… that’s better. Thanks, puppy boy”
“I really gotta have better control of my weight, babe. My mind just gets sorta fogged when we speak and I just want to be your good puppy boy, so that messes me up a bit” He managed to say, before starting to pant with his tongue out. He was really happy, that part was obvious.
“It’s okay, alpha pup. Just relax and rest for a while, alright?” I kissed his forehead before getting up and sitting on the edge of the bed “…And sleep, can you do that for me?”
He nodded with excitement, before quickly dozing off. “Anything for… youu… bruh…”
He’s amazing, I’ll give you that. I’ve never had a boyfriend before and I’m really nervous about this, but at the same time it’s not like I have any choice on the matter. He’s my soulmate, I love him and he loves me too. Yeah, he’s sort of… forced to do it via some weird supernatural thing, but it’s not a bad supernatural thing.
He enjoys it, according to him.
I sighed. ‘This is too much to think about. Werewolves? Real. Soulmates? Also real. A werewolf claiming that I’m his soulmate, and me falling in love with him some days afterwards? Triple real.
I mean, it wasn’t a real game changer. When Dave revealed his werewolf nature, it was a really unexpected thing. How can you ever expect a classmate who has been around for probably a year and a half and never talked to you to declare his love for you, multiple times, after he smells you while passing by?
I looked at Dave, who was snoring as he slept on my bed. The guy is perfect. He’s handsome, has amazing powers, every girl or gay dude would lust after his perfect frame, and a bright future ahead of him if he manages to enter the NFL.
‘I’m doing good so far’ I told myself, reassuring me that being with him was the right thing to do. I loved him, after all. And according to his Mr. Walker, if I broke Dave’s heart it could be devastating for the poor werewolf jock. I didn’t want that to happen, and god bless my head for making me fall over for the alpha puppy.
In reality, Dave was improving a lot with his studies in such a short time. If he keeps going like this, he’ll also get good chances of going to a really nice university.
My grades are good, mostly because I don’t like social reunions to spend the time at, so I either play games all day or study for fun. It’s a nice habit I’ve developed over the years, and always thought it was something nice to have.
My diverse interests in different careers proved it, I had a love for learning and I can’t get enough of it. Let it be enemy attack patterns or strategies for videogames or how to build a bird’s house for the garden, if I don’t feel lazy and have the time to do it, I’ll do it.
My friends seemed to adapt very well to the idea of me and Dave being closer these days, even after meeting less than two weeks ago.
Dave’s friends… Almost all of them, including his ex-girlfriend, seem to be pretty amazing! I still have to personally meet the football team without dying on the inside, but Leslie was a start, right?
“Hey, puppy boy?” I said, softly tapping his shoulder.
He opened his eyes, quickly. Oh, that was faster than I expected. “Yeah, bruh?” He sounded sleepy, but not zoned out at all. He wasn’t in a trance right now. I looked at my phone’s time, he’s been asleep for like 15 minutes now.
“How was that nap?” I asked, and Dave smiled at me.
“Honestly, I would’ve preferred to sleep with you. But being near you is enough for me to be happy, my love” He’s cheesy. He’s not like this normally, just for me.
But I liked it a lot. “Aww, such a cute puppy boy you are” I placed my hand near his ear, and he playfully started to move his head, probably wanting me to scratch his sweet spot again.
I did just that, and he started with that motor-like sound again. His blue eyes looked up at me with such adoration, like a dog looking at his owner. The varsity jacket around his torso made him look way cuter than he credited it.
“You’re simply amazing, bro” He said, then leaned in towards me to give me a quick smooch on the lips. “Something on your mind, or should we just cuddle like we always do?”
“Hmm… I was thinking we could play something on the ps4 but…”
“I mean; I love video games as long as I play with ya. Besides, I love beatin’ your beautiful ass in COD” He proudly interrupted me. Huh, so that’s how it’s going to be?
“But… why don’t we go take a walk instead?” I finished, getting up from the bed and walking over to the closet. I opened it and there was the dog leash, hanging beside a few belts.
After grabbing the leash, Dave got up and went to his school bag, grabbing the bowser collar and then moving over to me. “Where are we going today, babe? Oh, wait. I have to change into wolf form first, right? Gimme a sec”
But I shook my head. “I have something else in mind. It’s still quite early so… why don’t we go to the forest again?” I knew he loved the forest. I didn’t like being outside at night, but it was still sort of sunny outside so… Let’s make the most of the time, right?
The jock nodded, grabbing the leash from my hands and putting it alongside his collar inside his school bag.
I liked he wasn’t completely careless about his werewolf status and thought about hiding those things until we were completely alone at the forest. He’s smarter than he seems.
I went closer and gave him a long, nice kiss, which he seemed to enjoy a lot, before we walked outside of my room and headed to his car.
-----
The forest normally? Cold. Empty and scary. Especially now since it’s almost 6 p.m.
Dave probably loved this, and the god rays going through the leaves of the tall trees and illuminating the path was really nice to see.
I’ve never been a fan of camping, so it would probably be some time until I proposed something like spending the night at the forest with Dave. I felt safe with him though, so I really shouldn’t worry about little stuff like that?
“Arrived, should I change now?” Dave said, stopping the car near the usual spot. The nice part of the forest in fall/almost winter is that it’s actually really empty. People prefer hanging out at the cafeteria, the library or the park.
Staying at home isn’t a really bad idea neither, so it wasn’t weird to see a few of my classmates in social media posting pics while playing games or joking around with their friends.
Staying at home with Dave… It definitely was good, but we only played COD (Where he beats my ass) or cuddle and take long naps together. Not even having sex as a regular thing, since Dave still hadn’t fucked me. I also contemplated the possibility of fucking him too, but I couldn’t tell if he would like that.
At one side, he had to do everything I said without a chance of resisting, so he would be blissful about it. On the other side, Dave has stated that he’s not gay, so I’m really not absolutely sure if he really enjoys being with me, but then goes back to his old ‘I hate fags’ self.
Those little insecurities crossed through my mind multiple times a day, especially when I’m with him around. It’s definitely something I have to work on if I want this to work out for both of us.
I shook my head “Not now. I’ve got an idea, but let’s head to one of your safe spot first, puppy boy”
“A’ight, bruh” Then we left the car. He grabbed his bag, and I took a deep breath. I grew used to being here the last few days we’ve come together.
“Oh, and Dave?” Before he could turn towards me and ask me something, I finished with a “Could you turn into a werewolf?”
Just me ‘asking for it’ was enough, apparently. Dave nodded excitedly as he always does when I ask him for something, then stood still with his eyes zoned out.
I looked around, just to be sure we were alone, as Dave’s body changed drastically to his werewolf form. The snout was back, his eyes were bigger and his ears were on top of his head, like a normal wolf.
His body, now covered in fur, grew a few inches as usual. Curiously, his clothes seemed to be pushed to the limit, but he still seemed able to move freely without tearing them apart. And you could also see the shape of his abs and pecs on his shirt.
His bulge also grew a bit, and I poked it with a finger just to see if that would interrupt his transformation. Luckily, it didn’t, but Dave did let out a deep, little “Huhuhuh…” as the transformation continued.
A tail appeared on top of his butt, wiggling left and right rapidly, and his hands grew the wolf pads and nails once again.
A few seconds later, he blinked a few times, before looking at me with a caring smile that showed off a few of his fangs.
“What was that for, bro?” He asked, his voice way deeper than his usual dreamy jock voice. I liked it, but I preferred the old one, to be honest.
“Nothing important, just wanted to see you transforming again” I said, while caressing the spot now behind his wolf ears. ‘Wonder how the magic works to shift his audition system to the ears of the top after the human ears disappear’.
I would love to learn more about supernatural creatures, but I really doubt that’s a career you can follow once you join a university. It’s not like there’s a sort of Hogwarts out there for supernatural creatures, right? Would be funny if…
Hmm… Now that I think of it, it’s not really that impossible if there are actual supernatural creatures out there.
“Well, now that I’m in wolf form…” He reached out for his bag and grabbed the bowser collar. “Can we please go for a walk? It was really fun the last time!”
He broke me out of my thoughts, but it was alright. I liked last time too, although he wasn’t really in werewolf form. I wanted to see his wolf form in action, but it would
I nodded, and grabbed the collar from his hands as he straightened his neck for me to put it on him. I tried to buckle it on the usual spot so he could move freely without feeling too restrained.
After that was done, he passed me the leash from his bag and I attached it to the collar.
“Want me to carry you? I’d love to do that so you don’t get tired, bro” Aw, such a cute puppy.
“Nah, it’s alright. I should do some exercise too. Besides, I like having the leash of the situation” I said mockingly, as I lifted the hand with the hang of the leash.
The werewolf nodded “Yeah, well joke’s on you. I actually like when you have the leash”
I chuckled “Okay, puppy boy. C’mon, let’s do the walk before it gets dark and cold out here”
Dave didn’t complain, as we started walking away from the car and into the forest.
The only sound breaking the silence was our steps crushing brown leaves under our shoes, and Dave’s werewolf nose sniffing a lot, probably to recognize as many smells as he could?
We kept going like that for a good while, probably 15 minutes or so. It was relaxing, just us, together, walking in the forest like nothing mattered. Like a dog and his owner.
“Y’know, tomorrow’s the big game, bro. I know we’ve talked about this already but i’m not gonna force you to go and cheer me up.” He said, breaking the silence as he stopped walking and turned around to face me “I’d really appreciate it if you were there for me. Like, a lot, bro”
Dave grabbed my hand and moved it towards his chest, waiting for my answer while giving me puppy eyes.
“Pretty please? For me, bro? I’ll do anything you want afterwards, promise!” He insisted.
I smiled “Hey, the team is also sort of expecting me to be there, right?” He nodded “Then, if I want to help you with your plan of slowly coming out, wouldn’t it be easier if I helped you with that, as you originally planned?”
Werewolf Dave seemed mildly confused by the logic. He had a thoughtful expression and rubbed his snout a bit.
I softly pulled from the leash attached to his collar, breaking him from his train of thoughts. “Hey!” I pulled again, and he smirked “Oh, so that’s how it’s gonna be?” Then he got in four legs, clenched his knees, and jumped towards me.
I didn’t have enough time (Nor reaction skill) to avoid him. We fell to the ground, Dave on top of me with a blissful expression on his face. I looked at him, and he took the chance to lick my face just like a few days ago. It was like a big, way stronger than me-dog was trying to give me some love.
“Uh— Dave— Not— again…!” I tried to say, as he covered me with slobber once again. I managed to reach his sweet spot and started scratching it, making him stop licking my face immediately and getting off me, rolling to the side with his arms and legs extended and his tongue lolled out.
I cleaned my face with my sleeve and sat beside him. Then, I started rubbing his belly like I would to a real dog before he could go back to licking my face. “Who’s a good boy? Who’s a good boy, David?” I said with a childish voice.
“I am! I am a good boy, bro!” He responded, panting. “I’m your good boy!” His leg was kicking the air as I rubbed his belly and I honestly found that adorable.
“Oh, really?” He got up and kneeled in front of me, nodding rapidly with his tongue still lolling out, and still panting. “Let’s see… roll!”
He did as I said, his tongue going back inside of his mouth as he laid down on the floor and started rolling like a dog, just like he dared me to do a few days ago. ‘Sweet revenge’ I thought, as I remembered that little moment.
“Talk!” I ordered him, and then Dave stopped rolling and got back on his knees, holding his ‘paws’ out while barking. “Good boy! Now, chase your tail!”
He got in four legs, and looked behind him. He growled at the tail behind him and started barking as he tried to catch it.
His tail, however, didn’t seem amused by Dave’s attempts to catch it. So, the puppy boy was struggling a lot with following that order. But it was alright, he was an amazing puppy boy.
“I was joking! You can stop now!” I said, before he hurt himself or anything.
Dave got back to kneeling in front of me, waiting for any other command. ‘Just one more thing won’t hurt, right?’ I thought, as I grabbed a fallen branch on the ground. I showed it to Dave, and he followed it with his eyes as he panted in excitement. “You want it, boy? Go get it!”
I threw the branch towards a nearby tree with some flowers on its base. The werewolf ran after it with a lot of determination, before stopping on his tracks in front of the tree.
Confused after he kept staring the flowers, I walked up to him and asked “What’s wrong, puppy boy?” wondering what was going on.
“Nothing, bro” He said, still very focused on the flowers. He broke out of the puppy role by now, going back to the big handsome jock. He leaned in and audibly smelled the flowers. “It’s just… Wolfsbane, can’t touch that”
Hmm… I remember hearing about it. But Dave seemed to notice my puzzled face, so he proceeded to explain it to me. “It’s a toxic plant, bro. I’ve seen it a few times, the bitch grows in a lot of places, even when internet claims it only grows in mountains”
He threw a look of hate to the plant, before covering one of his hands with the sleeve of the varsity jacket, and slowly getting closer to it. Then, he grabbed the stick I just threw and passed it to me. “Here. The smell is really bad, so let’s just move away from it and grab another stick, a’ight?”
I was mildly surprised that he found another way of fulfilling my order of ‘Go get the stick’, even when it was surrounded by dangerous plants.
I nodded, throwing the stick away before grabbing the hang of the leash again and walking with him to another part. “Are you alright?” I asked him, as we walked in complete silence. I was sort of hoping him to tell me a dark story about wolfsbane and him but apparently that wasn’t the case.
“Yeah, sorry. Got lost in thoughts there. That shit’s smell is really awful, bro. Makes me wish I didn’t have heightened smell!” He finished with a deep laugh.
“It’s alright, we can keep playing at another place. Would you like that, puppy boy?”
He looked at me, excitement coming back to him. “Yeah! Can’t wait to catch that branch this time! I love you so much for playing with me, bro!” Huh, he really takes any chance he has to tell me he loves me.
Not gonna complain though, I really loved it.
----
It was already after school of the next day, and I was nervous, as always.
Is it weird to say that I’ve never been at a football game during my whole life? I don’t think so.
High school football games aren’t mandatory (Luckily) but our professors encourage us to attend to keep our school spirit as high as possible. And honestly I’ve never noticed how many people were into this thing.
Lots of parents and families walked over to the football field, as the bus from today’s rival team parked near our school.
A bunch of “BOOOOOS” Could be heard from the people as they passed beside the bus.
“Hey nerd” Someone said behind me. I turned around, hoping to see my good playful puppy boy. But instead, I was greeted by Butch’s frown.
I looked around, searching for my knight in shining armor as Butch took a step closer to me. I was surrounded by people, he wouldn’t be so stupid to try something against me in public, right?
“Hey Butch—” I tried to say, but he interrupted me right away.
“Listen, I don’t want any of your shenanigans” What the hell was he talking about? He’s the one who approached me. “I’ve talked with my bro last night, and even if I still think you’ve made some weird fag shit to him, we’ve reached an agreement”
Huh, that was interesting. “What was it about?”
“The game” He explained, looking around and lowering his voice. “You probably have a lot of options for universities, being a nerd and all that. Wouldn’t be surprised if you even clung to that lgbt shit to get free benefits”
That was pretty rude, and I was sort of amazed how he managed to turn his attempt of an explanation to a way of insulting me. “But me and a few mates from my team know that we’ll only get an scholarship if we play like gods during this last year. So, big D and I talked yesterday and teamed up again, like things were before you showed up”
“It’s not like I really did anything, you could just try and chill out a bit” I said, getting a little fed up by his asshole behavior.
He clenched his fist and took another step closer, but then backed again and relaxed “Don’t be so cocky, I ain’t gonna hold back when my bro is done with playing around with ya”
I gulped, then nodded. “If that was all, I think you should head over to the locker room. Your team should be waiting for you” I replied, pretty coldly. He gave me a rough pat on the shoulder before beginning to walk away. “And good luck on the field!” I said, after he took a few steps away, heading to the school.
I couldn’t tell if he heard me or anything, until he gave me the middle finger without looking back. ‘Geez, what a dickhead’ I thought, as someone else patted my shoulder again.
“I hope he wasn’t too aggressive with you, bro. We’ve chatted last night and—” I turned around and found Dave, his hair was a big messier than usually and he had a gym bag. He looked nervous, but also really excited. And I wondered if he ran out of the gym before coming here.
“I know, he told me about it. He was… decent, I guess” I shrugged it off, it’s not like I care about Butch anyway. I forgot how it was being afraid of a jock, probably because of all the time I was spending with the werewolf now.
“Wish I could kiss you right now, for good luck” Dave said, scratching the back of his head. I noticed he was blushing, and looked around a lot.
I grabbed his hand, and ran towards the side of the school’s main building. No one seemed to be around here, so it was a safe place. “Anyone around, puppy boy?”
He looked around, and I noticed he seemed to be pointing his ears as he moved his head to face other parts of the building. “Nope, we’re safe here” but before I could do anything, he was the one who kissed me.
I kissed him back, happy to give him the ‘good luck kiss’ he wanted. He pulled away quickly, probably to avoid drawing attention.
“Thanks, bruh. I’ll do my best to win that game for you, don’t wanna disappoint the love of my life while you’re watching me out there” He said, blushing a bit and looking away nervously. He seemed really worried about this.
I caressed his face, then quickly reminded myself that we’re on public and then patted his shoulder. He seemed confused about this, but I decided to speak before things got more confuse.
“You should go to the locker room too. The rivals just arrived so it’s only a matter of time until the game begins”
Dave seemed a bit disappointed, but agreed with me “Yeah… I was just making time to be around you a bit more. You’re just so handsome that I couldn’t resist, bruh” He said, before looking at the field’s direction.
“It’s okay, I know you’ll do great, big alpha guy” I gave him another pat “C’mon, it’s going to start in any moment and you still don’t have your uniform on”
He nodded, before giving me a quick smooch on the cheek. “Gonna need more luck, but I’m not going to disappoint you, bro!” Then he ran off to the locker room.
I walked back to the front of the school, and noticed Sam standing near the entrance. I walked over to him, wondering if the president had a special seat or something at the bleachers.
----
The game was over, and as I suspected, we won.
The rival team played fair, I guess. I don’t really know how football works, but the local team didn’t seem too mad while they played.
Dave was as amazing as I’ve seen during the practice after we’ve first met. And being in the bleachers, barking like a crazy dog each time our team did something great felt pretty awesome. Again, I couldn’t tell when that happened so Dick had to give me a Football 101 class as the match played out.
He also noted how good my puppy boy was at the game, moving with perfect agility and trying to synchronize himself with his teammates capabilities, rather than them being able to catch up with him. “I really don’t like your friend, but hell if he’s a great player. Looks like the Messi of American football, just dumber and not really likeable”
“He’s been trying to be nicer lately. It was nice when… you know, I stopped being afraid of him. Not being worried about having your head slammed to a table is nice” I said, trying to ease him into the thought of me dating Dave. If that ever happened to come up at the chat.
“I know you and ‘im have been… closer lately. I’m not going to give ya the usual shit of ‘be careful’ and bla bla bla. Just be honest, is somethin’ happenin’ between you two?” Dick looked at me, not with a worried face but more like a curious stare. Like he was trying to figure out what was on my mind.
I nodded slowly as we both got up from our seats and started walking out of the field. “Don’t tell anybody, alright?”
He made a movement like he was zipping his mouth, and said “Your secret is safe, lil’ bruh. He’s your first… thing, right?” I nodded again “Then hell, just enjoy and have a great time. Don’t worry about other fuckers meddling in if he really chose you to explore his sexuality or whatever”
It was nice to hear that from a friend. Although he did sound sort of dismissive, and he disappeared into the crowd before I could answer. That was great though, because I had the intention of going to congratulate my boyfriend.
The football team was still on the field, doing victory dances while the more mature guys chatted with the rival team, saying stuff like ‘It was a good game, you guys rocked out here’, trying to be nice winners.
I honestly preferred Dave’s approach to winning, he was howling to the sky a lot and yelling “HELL YEAH! WE WOOOOOOOON!” but it was probably because I knew that howling was a natural thing for him. The rival team just stared at him with hatred in their eyes, while trying to stablish a chat with the members of the local team that were actually interested in not winning but having fun.
It was clear that Dave never got that lesson from Disney during his childhood.
I waited for him and the team to leave the field, hoping I could catch him before heading home, but he suddenly started sniffing the air and looked in my direction.
I blushed, and remained there. He gave me a wink before making a showing me the palm of his hand, probably telling me to stop here and wait for him.
A few minutes later, the jocks from both teams left the field. The local team went back to the locker room to get changed and shower, while the rival team went to their bus, back to their own town.
Dave approached me before heading to the locker room and quickly said “Did you watch the game, bro? How was I?!”
He probably still had a lot of adrenaline, but he did play amazingly. “Very great job out there, big guy!” I answered him, after checking out we were effectively alone. There were a few parents about to leave the scene so it was me and him all by ourselves.
He seemed proud of my answer, and held his chest out. “Hey, my team wants to go celebrate to a dinner and eat a lot of burgers but…” He placed his big hand on my cheek, softly moving his thumb around. “I’d really rather celebrate just with you, my love”
I smiled “Sure. I actually have an idea for a reward. I didn’t want to say it before, to avoid making you… you know, play harsher with your powers, hah. But why don’t we go to my room again? I think you’ll really like this idea” I whispered, just in case anyone was near enough to hear us.
Dave’s eyes showed more excitement than before, and he nodded frantically. “Give me a few minutes! Gotta return the school’s armor before heading out and I’ll drive us there!”
He waited for me to nod, before running away at an impressive speed. As I said, I waited for him and he came back with his gym bag and his varsity jacket, ready to go.
It looked like the puppy boy wanted to lift me up and run at all speed towards my house, but he tried to contain himself pretty well.
This was going to be amazing.
----
Back at my place, I knew mom would be out for at least one or two hours more.
Dave seemed like a beast doing the best he could to contain himself. He anxiously tapped the car’s wheel every time we reached a traffic light, and he ran out of the car and locked it with his key as soon as I stepped out.
He could perfectly grab me, break my house’s door with a kick, then do a long shot with me to upstairs just so save up more time, but I don’t think the big guy would do that because I could end up hurt.
Once in my room, he almost ripped off all of his clothing. Luckily, almost. I was impressed by this energy boost he was having, even more since we were about to… do the dirty a few days ago, and he didn’t seem nearly as excited as he was now.
Probably because he had an awful day back then? Today must have been a rush because of the football game. Classes were pretty vague already with most of the professors rambling and letting us free class time to do other works or just chill out before the game.
“Ready for action, bro!” He said, striking a pose in all his naked glory. His hard cock was twitching and leaking a bit of pre already.
I took my time and fully undressed in front of him. He followed every movement I did with cautious precision, like a predator looking over for his prey. If he was in werewolf form at the moment, I bet he would stick his tongue out at every moment.
I walked towards him, only separated by a few inches. He leaned in and kissed me in a sort of nice way, as he always did. A few times, he would break the kiss and breath quite heavily. “Uh… I’m really horny now, bro… Do you… do you really want it? I’m not going to force you to—“
“Yeah,” I interrupted him before he started with the usual ‘You’re the boss here’ speech. “Yeah, let’s get on with this”
He nodded, and lifted me up from the floor. The horny werewolf walked over to my bed and gently left me on top of it, facing my mattress. “Never rimmed a guy before” He said, chuckling nervously “Can’t be too different from a chick’s ass”
I let out a little sigh, trying to relax myself, as Dave pushed my butt cheeks and started licking my hole.
It felt weird.
I mean, it felt kind of good, I guess? But also knowing that his tongue was doing that… I think I would have preferred if he just spat on his hand and inserted his fingers, like I saw on some videos. Too late to back out now, right?
Dave was the expert on sex so… he knows how to make it hurt less, I assume.
After a few minutes doing that, the jock got up and walked towards his gym bag. I moved to look at him, and noticed he took out a condom from one of the bag’s pockets. “You always carry condoms around?” I asked, honestly curious.
The werewolf shrugged “I’m always up for having sex, have that in mind” He replied, with a wink.
‘I’ll do, don’t worry’ I thought, as he ripped the condom’s envelope and placed the thing around his cock.
“Now, the important part…” He started in a really serious voice, getting in position behind me. I could feel him aligning his cock to have a clear entrance to my ass “If it hurts, or you’d like to make any request, don’t hold back. I want you to enjoy this as much as I will, and you’re my priority, bro”
Dave leaned in to kiss my back, then went up and kissed my neck softly. “Understood?” He finished, as I felt his cock pressing against my hole.
“Y-Yes, let’s do this already” I answered.
He chuckled, and kept giving me little kisses, probably to distract me. His cock was already sliding in. “God, you’re so tight…” He whispered near my ear “I love it…”.
I won’t lie, it felt good so far. Barely any pain at— OH, SON OF A BITCH!
‘It’s okay! I can handle it! It just hurts at the beginning!’ I told myself, as Dave finished going all the way in, and started thrusting in and out quite slowly at first.
The pain diminished little by little as he kept fucking my ass. I was worried his cock might be too big for my virgin ass, but it was good so far. I barely felt any pleasure though, it was just like a very weird thing.
And then, Dave touched the sacred spot. I let out a moan, and Dave said “Huh, good to know that”, probably referring that he just found my prostate. After that, it felt like heaven. The werewolf’s movements were perfect, and even if he barely moaned now, I could tell he was enjoying it.
I was tempted to order him to turn into a werewolf, but if his dick grew inside of me like it did when he transformed, I would probably be in a lot more pain that I was a few moments ago. And the condom would probably break too.
After a few more minutes of Dave fucking me, he pulled his cock out. Then, he turned me around with his impressive strength, and lifted me by the butt. I surrounded him with my legs, as he positioned me again on top of his cock and slowly made me go downwards on it.
Now we were facing each other as he fucked me, and we took the chance to make out, only interrupted by our moans from time to time.
This was amazing, he was amazing, everything was amazing.
“I could last all night if you wanted me to, bro…” He whispered, in between pants. Now that he mentioned it, I could feel myself getting closer to blowing a load. “Just tell me when you want me to cum, a’ight?”
I nodded, and he kept making me go up and down on his cock. The pain was long forgotten by now, and I felt it sliding perfectly in my hole.
Then, I came on top of him, as he sat down on my bed still holding on to me.
I was extremely disappointed by how quickly I came, but Dave’s cock still felt good inside of me. But…
“Cum” I told him, and he didn’t waste a second. His eyes unfocused for a bit, as his cock exploded inside of my ass. Afterwards, we both fell on my bed, facing each other.
His cock was still inside of me, and I was sure he would get hard again if I ordered it.
But my first time had been amazing so far, so maybe this was enough for today?
Dave smiled at me, leaning in to give me a kiss. I kissed him back, wondering how could I live so far without this beefcake around. Everything was so different unlike two weeks ago, where I would look forward to senior year ending so I could stop hiding from the mean big jocks.
“I love you…” Dave whispered after the kiss was over, looking at me with adoration in his eyes. “I hope I did good during your first time”
And now, I didn’t want it to end at all. Everything was so perfect right now.
“It was, puppy boy. Thanks for it… and I love you too” I managed to say, glad that my stutter didn’t ruin the moment. And glad that I had a werewolf soulmate.

Furiends Episode 3: A Bad Idea
A new day has come, and the warthog sits with the cat at a small table in a small coffee shop by the name “Pawbucks.” Zach sits with them, along with his two housemates. Having settled for nearly a week while out looking for employment, he’s quite comfy with their company, and had shared them with his new friends. The five animals spend plenty of time together and today, are now are gathered at the coffee place.
Zach has gone up to wait on line to ask the barista for an application while Hatboy accompanies him, patiently standing to order a fancy mocha. The girls, however, are slouched in their chairs, and have their heads leaning against solid objects as flat-mouthed, half-eyed expressions occupy their faces.
“Ugh, I’m so bored!” Emmy exclaims. “What are we supposed to do? There’s nothing around here…”
“Honestly, I don’t know,” responds Carly. “Thought it would be a good idea to talk about art, but we constantly see each other’s posts on Furbook. Maybe we can go to the cartoon festival?”
“Actually, I’ve got an interesting idea.” Brook reaches into her bag and pulls out a book to show to the girls. The title reads “The Dark Arts for Dummies,” and has a deformed face on the cover. “Was thinking we could do a little conjuring at my place. What do you say?”
“Uh…” Carly keeps her gaze fixed on the cover. “Gee, Brook. I don’t know… Maybe we shouldn’t-”
“Why not?” Emmy spurts. “Not like we’ve got anything better to do. besides, I’m interested in this stuff.”
Carly quickly faces the warthog. “Um, are you sure about that?”
“Come on, Carly,” replies Emmy. “It doesn’t seem too bad.”
“Yeah.” Brook smiles. “We could raise a cute little demon baby. Who knows?” Carly sighs before deciding to go onboard with the plans. Emmy asks the purple rabbit what the first step is. Brook opens the book and reads off the first page. “We’re going to need some supplies for this.”
Zach returns to the table with Hatboy by his side. “Well, turns out they’re not hiring… So much for that…”
Hatboy slurps down some of his mocha. “You probably wouldn’t want to work here, anyway. You’d have to be quick with making drinks and filling out orders. The food business is rough.”
“Don’t worry,” Emmy tells the fox. “You can fill out a lot more applications where we’re headed. Come on! We’re going back to the mall.”
***
Back at the mall, the gang wander around in search for their items. They split off in different directions as they look around. Hatboy follows Brook into the candles store. Zach, however, walks around in search of employment.
Brook notices a box labeled “dinner candles” on it. “These will do. Hats, come pick this up.”
“Why do I have to lift this?” he asks.
“Because you’re a strong boy, and I’m not able to lift this by myself.” Hatboy sighs, bends down, and lifts the box off the ground. “Perfect, let’s head to the next step.”
“Excuse me,” calls out a store associate. “We haven’t stocked those yet!” The rabbits continue to the counter and prepare to pay, leaving the clerk with a look of dismay.
Emmy searches up and down the row of chalkboards, taking the erasers and chalk from the holders. “This will suit our need of chalk dust.” She picks up one eraser, but barely has a grip on it. “Uh oh!” Upon catching it, she hits the chalk boards on either side of her, emitting dust into the air around her. “Oh no…” Emmy’s mouth begins opening wider until, “Achoo!” The dust enters her nose more, causing an uncontrollable sneeze. “I must… achoo! Get out of- achoo! Here…”
In the floral shop by the corner, Carly looks around for the last item on the list; black rose water. “Hm… If I were rose water, where would I be?” Her eyes are drawn to the bottle on the top shelf near the entrance. “Of course, it’s up there…” She looks around, yet sees no worker in the store. “And no one’s around to help… Guess I’ll just help myself then…” The cat reaches for the bottle, but her paw is only inches away from it. “Hugck! Come on!” She stands on her tippy-toes. “Come on, Carly! You’ve almost got it!” Her paw stretches out more and wraps around the item. “Got it!” Her weight, however, causes the god to lean forward into the shelf. “Uh oh! Whoa!” Carly is knocked into it, causing it to fall over. As the shelf falls, a vase of flower water tips and spills all over her. Carly gets up and sees the damages she’s caused. “Uh, whoops…” She quickly pulls out some cash and leaves it on the counter. “I’ll just be going!” She leaves the scene. “I was never here…”
The friends regroup in the center of the mall. Brook approaches them with Hatboy by her side. “All right, everyone got everything from the list?” she asks, smiling. Emmy and Carly nod. “Good. Now, let’s head on back to my place and get everything set up.”
“Set up for what?” the fox queries. Brook fills him in on the details of what they’re plans are. “Oh… W-we are? Okay, I guess we’ll-” He sniffs the cat. “Hey, why do you smell like fresh roses?”
“Please don’t,” Carly utters. “I need a bath once I get home…”
“You can wash later, when we’ve-” Emmy sniffles. “Oh no… achoo! Ugh…” She sneezes again.
“Bless you,” Brook tells her.
“Security!” someone shouts. “Security! Someone has destroyed the flower shop!” As the spectator yells, the five animals rush out the entrance.
***
The gang gathers at Brook and Hatboy’s apartment, where they set up for their “special event”. Carly draws along the floor, making a pentagram with a marker. Emmy takes sand and proceeds to encircle the pentagram, touching the points with perfection. Lastly, Zach places candles beside the points while Hatboy lights them.
Carly looks into the picture in the book before viewing the shape in reality. She crosses her arms with a smile of pleasure. “Looks about right.”
“Yeah,” Emmy adds. “And it smells nice, too!”
“Okay, let’s get started.” Brook picks up the book and holds it in her paws. “All that’s left is to recite the incantation.”
“Wait!” Zach interrupts. “What if whatever comes out of there tries to kill us?”
“Hm, good point. We should suit up and prepare for the worst.” The friends rummage around for protective equipment and anything that could be used as a weapon. They manage to find gear and tools, preparing in five minutes. Zach holds a wrench close while donning a knight’s helmet, while Carly protects herself with football helmet, wielding a frying pan for her defense. Emmy’s head is covered with a pumpkin as a baseball bat leans up against her for her weapon. Hatboy and Brook use bubble wrap as light armor, donning bike helmets for their heads. Hatboy’s weapon is a shovel. The purple rabbit holds up her book. “Everybody ready?” Her friends stand by her, ready to expect the unexpected, while she begins the incantation. “For thou who lives trapped in flame and clay, heed this call, rejoice and pray.” Zach’s arms tremble, shaking the wrench in his grip. Carly tightens her grip of her frying pan. “Gather upon thy mortal door.” Hatboy hides behind the counter. Emmy watches with fascination and interest. “Break the gates, and emerge once more!” The candle flames enlarge, brightening the room as a portal opens within the center of the pentagram. One big, round ball shoots out from the entryway, bouncing off the walls of the apartment. The three girls panic as the frenzy continues.
“Whoa!” Carly dives behind the counters in the kitchen to take cover, lying on the floor. “Jeez! How do you stop this thing?!”
“Good question,” Brook answers. “I don’t know.”
Emmy dodges as the flame ball flies past her. “This thing’s out of control! Yipe!” She stumbles onto the ground, avoiding the fire sphere as it nearly collides into her. The flaming sphere then makes it to Zach, hitting him direct on and knocking him down to the ground, then bouncing off of him. He grudges his torso while lying on his side.
“Don’t worry!” Hatboy holds the shovel firmly. “I’ve got it!” As the ball comes him way, he swings and smacks it away. The sphere of flames smashes through the glass window and outside. “Homerun! Woo!” The orb is last seen barreling down the street, burning lampposts and trees along the way. “Um, uh oh…”
Brook stands and looks out the broken window. “Nice going… You yeeted our demon out the window!”
Emmy rushes over to the fox, who sitting on the floor, attempting to get up. “Zach, you okay?”
Zach grunts. “Ugh! That was rough!”
The warthog notices a large burn spanning from under his pectorals to the upper pelvic region, covering his abdominal area. “Oh geez! That looks bad…”
“Let me see!” Brooks glances over. “Ooff! That certainly looks like it hurts.”
Carly walks over and sees the fox’s burn. “Oh my goodness! Zach, we should take you to the hospital.”
Zach shows his friends the palm of his paw. “No! I’m okay.” He gets to his feet slowly. “It doesn’t hurt too bad. Just a slight burn… I’m used to pain.”
“We should get you some ice, at least,” Hatboy insists. “And you should rest.”
“I’m worried about you,” Carly tells the fox. “We should-”
“I’m fine!” utters Zach again. “Nothing too bad… Shouldn’t we try and get our demon?”
Emmy looks out the broken window. “I think it’s a bit late for that… That thing is long gone, and not sure where it went.”
“Aw man!” Brook juts. “I was so excited! I had a good feeling we’d be friends with a demon! Damn…”
“It’s getting late,” Carly says. “I should head home before my mother worries about me.”
“Yeah, same,” Emmy adds. “Stepdad’s going to go ballistic if I’m not back in my “cell” before curfew… Sorry about your apartment.”
“It’s no biggie,” Brook tells her. “That was freaking exciting, though. See yous around.” The cat and warthog exit through the door before Hatboy closes it.
Zach lies on his back against the couch. “Ugh…” He raises his head to examine the burn mark on his torso. “That stings…”
“I thought you said it didn’t bother you,” Hatboy reminds him.
“It hurts a lot,” Zach responds. “I just don’t want to go to the hospital… Not after everything I’ve been through…”
“I hear you,” Brook jumps in. “Hospitals suck anyway. Need a package of frozen peas to hold on your stomach?”
“Yes, please…”

Great Hope Amidst the Pandemic
As much as possible, we totally want to be in control of our lives. We take time to manage personal goals which are the big things to work for and accomplish such as receiving a diploma, getting married and having a family, starting our own business, becoming a big-time executive, or traveling the globe and such. These are essentially some of the things we want to do in life and in preparation for that, we plan. There may be small interruptions like atmospherical conditions, heavy traffic or sickness and we're used to it. But in an unexpected instance, in a snap, a pandemic called Coronavirus hit us by surprise and consumed us within months. Worst case scenario: it is a huge interruption everywhere with no specific vaccine.
Everyone has been writing on this and I don't know where to start. When I first heard about Coronavirus, there was a certain fear I felt as if my heart skipped a beat, wondering what repercussions it may create. By researching, I came to understand that it's highly contagious, attacks the respiratory system and no one is an exception especially the immuno-compromised ones. Knowing the fact that there is no cure for this disease heightened up my worries — for myself, my loved ones, my nation and the world.
The world is grippling with an invisible, deadly enemy. I had a feeling that it will be one heck of a ride. This pandemic got me feeling a roller coaster of emotions. I was not in my comfort zone. I had a lot of what-ifs. Before quarantine started, usual activities were still allowed despite having early cases in the country so I couldn’t help being paranoid at school, while commuting, while going to the mall and going outside with no choice but to be exposed to a lot of people which made me totally anxious and wonder "what if I get the virus" so, I did the best ways possible not to catch it. I sanitized every now and then, did limit interactions, took vitamins, used face mask and became extra careful when going out. After school, in the dorm where I stay, I really make sure to keep my health in check so I wash my hands, eat and sleep properly. Let me just say that living a little away from home sucks especially when there's a sudden global virus. I had to take care of everything myself. I was longing for security. I just wished I could go home.
There was a time back then when I really had a hard time sleeping that I fell asleep at 4 o'clock in the morning so it led to overthinking and unwanted panic attacks. Fears abound. Such uncertainty. How long will it last? What if I get sick since I lack sleep? What will happen next? Worries kept rippling because aside from these, there were school requirements to fufill, an overall health to watch and uncertain future to come so it was absolutely tough for me and took a toll on my mental health.
Days before ECQ was imposed, it was another day full of worries and not being in control. Classes were suspended due to more cases detected. So I packed my luggage, took a 1-hour ride to get home and finally be with my family. It felt good to walk into our doorstep but even if quarantine was imposed, oh God, my worries didn’t fade. Fear and anxiety were still present. During the first week of ECQ, I still got panic attacks and sleep issues. I was deeply overwhelmed. That’s why I willingly shared my thoughts to my go-to person, my mom. It's been a long time since I had a panic attack and that time, it was difficult to control and worse, even my sleep was affected. My mom would calm me down by helping me meditate with a bunch of essential oils and by staying present. I also talked over the phone to my Kuya who's in Manila and with other loved ones so it eased out my agony. Their words comforted me. Their company patted my back. I started to feel safe. I felt much better. I stopped dwelling on the negativity. I looked into the blessings which I'm really grateful for. I prayed to God. I consciously focused on the fact that I'm alive and I have a purpose. I knew I just had to shift my perspective. I started to heal. I started to pick up my broken pieces like a puzzle waiting to be solved.
Well, there’s always a new day. The virus is still there, but no one’s stopping me from overcoming my fears and doing what I love. Let’s face life no matter what. Since I'm really a home person, I didn't bother much about things to do in quarantine. These are the things that kept me going while staying at home: I do love being active so after getting up in the morning, I would pray and think about the things I'm grateful for. After that, I would turn the television on, go to Youtube and do my usual workout routine (a good sweat releases endorphins). I also got to bake some goodies, learn to cook new recipes and get creative with my makeup looks. I also do household chores and binge-watch my favorite shows on Netflix right after. I even do some home photoshoot so I get to play dress up. Spending time with my family 24/7 is a major blessing I experience amidst the crisis. Every night, I pray to God and talk to him sincerely. Prayers are the best antidote and His hands are my safe haven.
These were some of the meals I cooked.
These were some selfies I took during quarantine as I get creative with my makeup looks to avoid overthinking.
Watching my favorite series, FRIENDS. A good laugh comes a long way.
With regards to academics, as a student and as a person, I was firm on my stand to push for mass promotion of all students. Considering the situation and ongoing threat of the global crisis, health is greatly at risk. I voiced out my opinion on social media. In my little way, I wanted to help those near around me to come to our house for internet access if ever mass promotion didn’t push through. Good thing my professors were considerate enough to pass us all even if the university didn’t go for mass promotion at first. Luckily, a new memo from our school’s administration came to a decision in benefit of the students. Mass promotion pushed through.
This is a screenshot of my Mass Promotion post where I voiced out what I felt.
Just yesterday, I received a bad news. It felt devastating to lose one of the best professors I had. We didn’t see it coming. He suffered from severe pneumonia and tuberculosis. He was one of the people who believes in me and appreciates my passion. He had expert communication skills and a strong work ethic. Not to mention his great sense of humor that kept every discussion in class fun. I have always admired him. I will surely miss Sir Guban. Heaven gained an angel. May he rest in peace.
This is Sir Guban, one of my best professors who just passed away.
Giving shape to time is indeed important now when the future is so shapeless. The pandemic is a whole new ballgame with new rules being created each day. We are challenged to let go of normalcy and face a new one. I know it’s hard to gain a perspective when you are in the middle of such uncertainty; to make sense of what is going on and how the future will emerge. But I have learned that I need to trust the process because eventually, it will unleash a better version of myself, a stronger one. As I began to reflect on the reality of such a virus and trying to contain it, it became clear that it says something quite wonderful about humanity. It says that we have the capacity to shift out of our comfort zones and to quite literally work together to save our lives and the lives of others. There is a tremendous hope for humanity being demonstrated around us. We can choose to walk through it lightly, with a little luggage, ready to imagine another world and ready to fight for it. Life may hit us hard countless times but I found out that it’s about finding ways to get back up again and moving forward despite the greatest obstacles.
Always wear your face mask, sanitize, be mindful and be safe.

[Jan. 11, 2020. 1:56 pm]
Red rimmed blue eyes stared back at you in the bathroom mirror as you readjusted your outfit and tried to salvage the remainder of your makeup – oh how you despised that color.
To be fair you didn't even hate all shades of blue, it was more or less just the hue that existed in your eyes: the icy, pale lavender-blue shade that drew the attention of everyone in the room. When you were younger, you thought it was a good thing, a blessing even. You used to love the soft wash of color and would happily bask in the attention that people gave you for being different from your peers, but that all changed on your thirteenth birthday when your parents explained to you what the color of your eyes really meant... death and eternal loneliness. All those years you spent thinking people were admiring your eyes, you now understood that those looks were not ones of admiration or envy but rather ones of pity, for your soulmate had died before you were born. It was safe to say that any excitement you held for your future was crushed.
That was the day you decided you hated the color you once thought was beautiful.
Once high school came, you began wearing steely grey colored contacts to blend in with everyone else around you. You pretended to be happy for your friends as their primary soul bonds began to develop, even though on the inside you felt like you were dying, knowing you would never be as happy as them.
It wasn't until you entered university that you decided to try and embrace your pre-determined fate. You stopped wearing the contacts and you started being honest with your friends and really tried to be happy for them. It was hard at first. They would tiptoe around the subject of soulmates and tried to set you up with people who didn't have them, but you eventually grew to be completely comfortable around one another. At least until today – the day your two best friends decided to finally admit that they had been soulmates the entire time of your friendship.
Deep down, you knew that you were happy for Joshua and Chaeyoung and you couldn't deny that it made sense. They both had those warm, honey colored eyes and they always seemed closer than you thought to be normal for friends. You just never thought they would lie to you about something like this, so when you walked into work and were promptly met by the two of them at your desk, ready to spill their deepest, darkest secret, you were hurt. You tried to act supportive and happy on the outside but inside you just felt gutted, so by lunch time you managed to slip out of the office as quickly and quietly as possible, only leaving behind a note stating that you were taking a sick day.
You managed to hold it together until you reached your favorite cafe-bookstore, ironically named The Hideout, where you broke down about halfway into your coffee and quickly moved to the bathroom to finish your outburst. Upon your return, you began gathering your things to leave after tossing the remainder of your now ice-cold coffee when a fresh cup was set on the table followed by a soft "Excuse me." You turned to apologize to the person you assumed wanted your spot, but the sight before froze you in your place.
There stood before you was one of the most beautiful people you'd ever seen. His soft, white-blonde curls framed his milky skin perfectly, and his peachy lips and cheeks complimented the peachy pink button up he adorned under his apron in a way that was both cute and breathtaking. His most striking feature, however, was the piercing yet soft set of blue eyes that locked briefly with yours; eyes that matched yours completely. It was only when his gaze flickered from yours that you snapped back to reality and spoke.
"S-sorry, I was just leaving." you managed to stutter out. For the first time you noticed the fluttering of butterflies in your stomach and the heat radiating from your cheeks as you stepped out of his way.
You didn't get more than a couple feet away before a surprisingly strong but gently hand wrapped around your wrist, effectively holding you in place. You turned back to face the hand’s owner once again. This time his expression showed concern, his voice matching as a he spoke.
"Is everything okay?"
You blinked as you thought about how to respond. Your lips opened, ready to slip out a yes but for reasons you couldn’t explain, you found yourself unable to lie to this beautiful stranger and shook your head instead. You looked away and wiped a stray tear before it could fall down your cheek as the grip on your wrist loosened.
"Do you maybe want to talk about it? I did make you a cup of coffee after all." He spoke with a soft, genuine smile that contrasted the pity-filled ones you were so accustomed to. Your gaze moved to the cup on the table before moving back to him, where you noticed he holding his own cup. You couldn’t help the small grin that appeared upon your own lips at the gesture. The more you thought about it, the more you like the idea of talking with this stranger; someone who, judging by his eyes, might be able to understand you better than anyone else you knew. You accepted his offer with a nod and slipped back into the booth you were just in, thanking him as he slipped into the booth across from you.
"I'm Y/N by the way."
"I know, you're a regular here. I'm Jeonghan."
•••
A few hours and some two cups of coffee later, Jeonghan had somehow managed to make your mood do a 180º spin as the two of you sat there in the same spot, laughing at another one of his stories about some angry customer that just couldn't be satisfied. If you were being honest, you couldn't remember the last time in which your happiness had felt so genuine. Just being here and laughing with this angel felt better than any of the times you hung out with your friends. It was different – he was different. In the midst of your laughter, you hadn't noticed the little bit of whipped cream you'd managed to get on the end of your nose until the boy sat across from you was leaning over the small table to wipe it off with a napkin. Like the gesture, his closeness was unexpected but neither uncomfortable nor awkward. He removed the cream and his gaze lingered on your blushing face for a moment before he sat back and leaned against the table once again.
"I never noticed your freckles before. They suit you." he spoke truthfully, giving you another smile that could put the sun to shame. Your face, however, dropped and your eyebrows furrowed at the comment.
"What are you talking about? I don't have freckles."
"Well I'm looking right at you and they are definitely there."
You waisted no time fishing the compact mirror from your purse to look over your face. They were faint under the layer of blush you'd hastily reapplied but there nevertheless. When you looked back up at Jeonghan you noticed them beginning to dust his cheeks as well. What really caught your eye, though was the shift taking place in his eyes. What was once a light lavender-blue color was quickly taken over by a deeper shade of serenity and the sight made you gasp. While you were unsure about the sudden appearance of the freckles now dusting both your cheeks, you were certain about one thing: shifts in eye colors only happen when two soulmates meet. Your thoughts were interrupted as the curious eyes staring at you turned into saucers and you could only assume that your eyes were beginning to shift as well.
"Y/N? Your eyes..."
"I know, yours too."
"But..."
"I know, Jeonghan."
"What does this –"
"I don't know, Jeonghan."
Honestly, you didn't know what it meant. You'd gone your whole life thinking your soulmate was dead and now what? Suddenly you had one? It didn't make any sense. The boy across from you was the first to break the silence that had settled between you; his voice was a bit quieter than before.
"Isn't there a rare birth defect that effects eye color? What if we have that?" You couldn’t ignore the way his brows furrowed cutely as he tried to come up with an explanation. Under different circumstances you might have even chuckled in admiration at his determination. But now wasn't the time. You being your skeptical self had to bring him back to reality.
"That's just an old wive's tale people tell to kids to give them hope. There's only two cases that have ever been confirmed."
Jeonghan's stare quickly snapped up to meet yours. "Exactly. Two confirmed cases, meaning it isn't impossible for there to be more. I bet there are hundreds of other couples out there like us." You felt your heart flutter and the butterflies make a second appearance as he described the two of you as a couple. You opened your mouth to speak again but he quickly shut you down. "Just hear me out." he reached out, gently taking your hands into his own. "It all makes sense. We both had the same eye color before and we have the same eye color now; the sudden appearance of the freckles, its a rare one but it is a bond that people have; and this," he paused momentarily to motion between the two of you, "this feels comfortable — this feels like home. I don't know about you but I've never felt so relaxed or genuinely happy with someone in my entire life."
His words struck something deep inside you, it was like he'd taken them straight from your mouth. Suddenly, you didn't want to fight his theory anymore, you wanted to embrace it. You were ready to accept that this beautiful stranger — this angel —that sat in front of you in this small, cozy bookstore-cafe was meant to be yours all along. You felt his hands give yours a gentle squeeze in attempt to regain your attention, so you looked back up.
"What do you say y/n? Do you believe that we could be soulmates? That you could have a soulmate?" he asked with a hopeful smile and a sparkle in his eyes. For the first time since you were thirteen you answered with a nod and a soft yes and meant it.
That was the day that blue became beautiful again.

Chris Evans
God can cause opportunity to find you. He has unexpected blessings where you suddenly meet the right person, or suddenly your health improves, or suddenly you're able to pay off your house. That's God shifting things in your favor. — Joel Osteen
It wasn’t planned. The whole day wasn’t planned. That’s why all of it seemed really meant to be. Those moments where things don’t go as planned at first and end up with something truly amazing and life lasting is so much better, so much truer.
Chris thought he was going to get some beers with his friends, maybe some dinner, but nothing special. He wasn’t in the mood to celebrate his birthday, not for the past few years. Chris had been working more and more, trying to fill up his time. Make sure he’s busy and all the ways.
“This seems too fancy for a simple bar” Chris said to his friends who clearly had lied to him. By this point it was the only way to get him out of his house and work, lying. Chris came face to face with a full table of foods and drinks, some balloons. “this is too much guys” Chris said running his hand through his hair very nervous. This really wasn’t what he wanted.
“This isn’t enough. Dude, we all know you were gonna stay home eat the same food, drink the same drink and watch the same movie as you do all the time. You’re depressing” his friend said patting his sad friends shoulder. Chris new he was right but also wasn’t sure what he was looking at was a good idea too. But was going to go with it for his friends. Chris kept a smile on his face as slowly the smile became real. His friends had made sure to get everything he like: drinks, foods, music. His friends, had rented out the back or a bar, with a wooden fence around it, a grill and long tables. A real nice, private party. Feeling secure and away from the world helped Chris relax.
Chris was joking around with his friends, really enjoying his time. Even though there was music and loud laughs, Chris heard the wooden door open and there you were. He hadn’t seen you ever in his life, but yet he felt as if he had missed you and finally you had arrived. Chris felt happy when looking at you.
“Who’s that?” Chris asked interrupting his friend and not looking way from you. Joe looking in the direction Chris was looking
“oh that’s Y/N. We invited y/n too, Y/N’s new in town and needs to make new friends. Like you need to stop moping at home and also make a new friend” Joe said as he waved at you. Joe placed his drink on the table and ran to you.
“I’m really happy you came. To the last minute I thought you weren’t going to come” Joe gave you a big hug, that’s when you actually locked eyes with Chris. he had a small smile on his lips. Nothing creepy, just a sweet smile
“I wasn’t gonna come until I changed my mind at the last minute. But now I think I should go home” you pulled away from Joes hug, looked dead in his eyes “why didn’t you tell me this party was for Chris Evans, The Chris Evans” Joe started to laugh. It was his plan all along. He would have never told you who the party was really for. If he would have told you he was here and this was his party you wouldn’t have came at all, even at the last moment, you wouldn’t have changed your mind.
“Fine, well, then I’ll be staying here with..” you looked around you too see someone you actually knew “the drink” you said and went to make a drink leaving Joe in a laugh. You had made a plan to stay away from Chris, even though it was his birthday party. Talking to him would make you very nervous, ending up saying something very wrong. While your plan was to stay away, talk to people that you didn’t have a crush on. Chris on the other hand had made a plan to talk to you, get to know you. Find out who this person was that had made his heart beat faster, made him calm with just a smile.
“Hi” you heard a raspy voice behind you and when turning around to see who it was you chocked on your beer. “oh shit, I’m sorry. I didn’t want to scare you” Chris said as you coughed.
“It’s okay, I’m fine” it was a very embarrassing moment, but you also were glad you didn’t spit on him or yourself. Then there would be no other choice but to run for your life.
“Good, i wouldn’t be able to forgive myself if I ended up killing you” he smiled at you as your breathing went back to semi normal. There was no way it would be normal when he was standing there with that smile and gorgeous beard. “I’m Chris” there was no point for that, you already knew more about him then he thought you knew.
“Yeah I know, Happy Birthday” it was a surprise to yourself that you were able to speak without stuttering. But you did already think about what you might have to say next, prepare yourself in a way.
“Thank you” Chris said very excited. He actually was happy to hear that from him. When other people said it Chris wasn’t as happy, he appreciated them wishing him a good birthday but none of them felt real and from the heart. Some just waved at him and that was it. There were a couple of people who weren’t that good of friends with him, but wasn’t bothered by them being there. To him you were more important, even if he didn’t know you’re name, yet.
“I’m Y/N” you finally said your name, making you face-palm yourself in your mind. Why am I so weird? you asked yourself as Chris smiled and talked. Few first words you didn’t hear because you were too busy being weird and yelling at yourself in your mind. “Theo invited me. He kind of felt bad for me since I spend all my free time at home, watch movies and eat some pizza” you felt comfortable and that made you say more then a person should to someone they just met
“Sounds a lot like how I spend my free time” Chris said laughing and his eyes kind of said he wanted to be doing that now. “but this is nice too” he looked around with a sigh
“Are you sure? I’m sorry but you don’t seem too happy. You don’t usually celebrate your birthday?” he nodded slowly, but still smiled. That smile wasn’t real, he was looking at people, waving at them. He had a posed smile on, trying to act as if everything was okay.
“I’m just not used to these kind of parties. It’s a bit..” he paused, looked at you trying to find the right words to express what he was feeling.
“too fancy?” Chris smiled, a real smile, when you finished his thoughts. “I know what you mean. I like low-key parties. Some good food, games, friends.” you said looking around at all the people. They were all dressed up, standing around with drinks in their hands, it didn’t look like a party or that people would be having fun. “I have an idea” you quickly said before running out leaving Chris a bit confused. He went to talk to his other friends, hoping you’d be back soon. And his wish came true, just few minutes later you came back but right behind you 2 guys were carrying in a big table.
“What’s going on?” Theo and everyone else were confused.
“We’ll play a little game...beer pong” you were really happy with your idea and how it actually was coming true, but what made you even more happy was seeing how excited Chris got. He was rolling up his sleeves ready to kick some ass.
“This is awesome. How did you know they had this?” Chris asked while helping you place the cups.
“I didn’t and this technically isn’t a beer pong table. It’s just a big table divided in half.” it was gonna work for the game anyway. It was big enough and seeing the game being set up made people more excited.
“So you just went and asked them for some cups and a big table?” you nodded looking in his smiling eyes. Chris was really happy “thank you” he said in a low voice and then you just looked into each others eyes for a long time, but your moment was cut short by Thoe who was eager to get teams together and start playing.
The next 2 hours or even more, everyone played beer pong. Chris was finally having real fun. You step aside for a moment, just after your team had won a game.
“That was one great game” Chris said walking towards you. Still even after being in the same place as him, you always couldn’t believe he was around, talking to you or even just standing next to you. Every time he looked in your direction your heart went crazy.
“Yeah it was, i’m glad I had a chance to play one more game before I have to leave” there was disappointment in your voice and there even more disappointment in his eyes.
“Oh, you’re not staying. Other plans like a date or something?” he was fishing for information about you and it made you a little happy.
“No, just need, honestly, I really want to get some real food in me” you laughed but also felt slightly bad saying that to him
“Yeah, these little sandwiches aren’t doing it for me anything for me too” he looked at the table, thought for a moment “maybe we could go get some food together? Like a pizza?” he offered and praying you’d say yes.
“It’s sounds great but don’t you have to stay here? I mean, this is your birthday party” Chris had forgotten why he really was there, he had been having so much fun and no one were making a big deal about his birthday like they did before you got the beer pong table.
“Wait here” now Chris was the one to run off and leave you confused, bu he was back quicker then you were. “everything’s okay. We can go. if... you want to” he smiled at you wanting to get a positive answer from you and he did
“Sure, let’s go.” and you both walked out to find some real food. In reality the food wasn’t the problem, every thing else was. You both really wanted to talk without being interrupted. A comfortable setting like a small pizza place helped you both relax and open up. Chris was relaxed, smiling, laughing. In his mind Chris kept saying how this was his best birthday and it all was thanks to you. As you both were talking it was clear this wasn’t going to be the last time you see each other. There might never be the last time you see each other.
When the whole evening had ended and you were at your homes, Chris and you still kept talking to each other by texts, but Chris also sent a quick text to Theo, thanking him for the party but an even bigger thank you Chris said for inviting you to the party.

The Descendants
The Descendants
Book 1:
Genesis
Chapter One:
November 4th, 2024. Edison New Jersey, Earth.
We had done it. The efforts of hundreds, if not thousands of people had come to fruition: a landslide victory for the brand new Equalist Party of America. Diya Anand scanned around the party office, taking in the momentous joy that had suddenly erupted amongst the volunteers and workers.
Just moments ago, the last state still counting their votes finally finished, putting the Equalists well ahead of both the Republicans and Democrats. It was assured, Dominick Moore would be the nation's second African American President, and her the first female Indian American Vice President.
As Diya walked amongst her colleagues, they began congratulating her on a job well done, wishing her the best of luck in the years ahead and most commonly, saying how happy they were to see a new face in the White House. Diya smiled, nodded and thanked all those who came up to her fervently shaking their hands and even shed a tear for one.
What she was really trying to do was transverse the crowd to get to the podium where Dominick was standing, since it is customary and necessary to address the people as their new leaders. As she reached the top, Diya smiled wide,
“Congratulations on your victory, Mr. President” , being sure to emphasize his new won title.
“Congratulations to you too, Madam Vice President” he said, returning the respect with a hint of playfulness which was hard to catch through his thick Nigerian accent. “Are you ready to change the nation for the better?
“I wouldn’t be standing here if I wasn’t Dom you know that” she replied. He began to say something else but just then news reporters pushed through the doors and poured in to stand in front of the podium. Like normal, they started barraging them with a multitude of questions, about how they felt, what would be their first actions and others that were lost in the torrent of sound.
After a few moments, Dominick finally got them to settle down as they needed to soon broadcast their victory speech. The camera’s soon flickered on, streaming their image to every news station in America and world-wide. Both Dominick and Diya were dressed in their cultures traditional attire: a well tailored Dashiki and Sari respectfully. The usual suit and tie and gown and pants had been thrown to the wayside at least for this instance. The American people needed to see the ethnic leaders they had voted for, and the new reality that was about to set in.
Dominick took the mic in hand, pushed his mask to the side and began, “I’d like to begin with stating how overjoyed I am. Not about winning the election but at the resolve of the American people. For the past eight years, we have had to fight countless battle after battle: wildfires in the west, massive storms and earthquakes in the Midwest, hurricanes and flooding in the east and two pandemics that changed the very core of our society. The past administrations had failed us, and we sought out new leaders, a new vision for the country. One that would let us tackle the challenges of climate change and other life changing issues…”
While Dominick kept speaking, Diya stood behind him smiling and nodding to the cameras whenever he said something that fell within the party’s platform. He was a great speaker, unlike her who most of the time did exactly this, stand behind him as he ran the show. But then it was her time to come up next to him and share her thoughts. As she did, as she spoke to millions of people across the world she couldn’t help but remember one thing in the back of her mind. She never even wanted the job in the first place.
As Diya was driven home by her security detail, she began to ponder how she had gotten to where she was now. She had been a judge, the closest she had ever wanted to come to politics. Many questioned her, how being in government meant you weren’t political but to her it was the best place to be apolitical.
You didn’t have to conscribe to any agreed upon base of actions, when a case reached her desk she went at it with the ethics she cultivated through her life and an understanding of the law she so fervently loved. But it all changed in 2020.
Everyone knew the presidential election was going to be a decisive one, but no one knew just how much. No one could tell who truly won, over a dozen states were flagged as “improper” because of their voting systems. The problems worsened as the incumbent president refused to leave office in a gambit to maintain power and the resulting riots tore through the nation. Every major city was hit, hundreds killed, thousands inquired and billions of dollars in property damage.
Through it all, Diya had stayed home wanting to weather out the crazy climate with her parents and siblings. She could still remember the fear in her families eyes, how they were utterly convinced this was the end of the life they knew. And as the riots raged, more tragedy struck.
Since so many young and capable people had been out protesting in such large numbers, another massive pandemic swept through the country. And then a super-hurricane hit Florida, an massive earthquake in the four corner states and… A lot of tragedies at once.
The next four years had proven to be one of extreme change and humanity for us. People started to band together like never before. Every place that was hit with something was helped by the very people in it. It was the citizens who helped themselves out of flooded homes and crushed buildings. It was parents and children who constantly made meals and clothes for the hundreds of homeless and sick. We didn’t ask our governments if we could, we just did.
And so Diya did just that, help all those she could. She quit as a judge and began organizing everything under the sun. Foodbanks, marches, fundraisers, if it was an event she was behind it. It was this type of cross-cultural, apolitical connectivity that the Equalist Party liked. They had formed under the noses of everyone, suddenly popping up around the nation with aid for all those ailed by the tragedies. No one really knows how they formed, but everyone knew how much they helped. In the end, the support they garnered was immense.
By 2022, the amount of support from the polls put them around 20% of the population. The following year, over 50% of the population. The online rallies broke the communication industry, almost every new politician that switches parties immediately gained thousands of followers. Which is where Diya's’ interactions with the Equalists started.
Having to coordinate resources and capabilities from her volunteer organization with the Equalists own outreach efforts, Diya virtually became a superstar overnight. Not that she wanted to in any way shape or form, helping from the shadows was her go to plan for the future. Work hard, help everyone, retire old, die older; that had been the plan.
Diya stepped out of the car waving a farewell to her driver only to be escorted into her home by the home security detail in front of her house. She smiled to the bodyguard as he held the door open and she walked in as the automated lights flickered on. She was about to put down her bag and wind down when her cell phone began to vibrate within.
“Hello?” she answered inquisitively, as she hadn’t known the number.
“Hey Diya, it’s me Leo,” the caller said.
An unexpected but gratuitous call. Diya immediately smiled and perked up a bit at the sound of his voice. Diya had met Leonidas, or Leo, over four years ago during one of the outreaches she had organized. They had immediately taken a liking to each other, having an unexplainable connection from day one. They had stayed in contact over the years, but with so much going on in his and her life, calls became less and less frequent.
“Oh it's great to hear from you, using someone else's sat phone this time? Diya asked, making the conclusion on her own.
“You got it. I hope this is okay, I just wanted to congratulate you on your amazing victory!” Leo exclaimed.
“Haha yea, amaaazing.” Diya groaned, emphasizing the sarcasm. “But you know what’s new with me and I have been talking about it for hours. How’s things on your end, last we spoke you just finished training”
“Yes Ma’am” Leo replied, realizing now that Diya was technically his superior. “I shipped out about about a week ago with the fleet. We’re somewhere in the Bay of Bengal, waiting to meet up with the Indian and Chinese before we make landfall. I called because I’m part of the second wave.”
“I see… well you know I’m not much for words, but I can make the exception for tonight” she mused.
“Haha thanks Diya, there are definitely a few things I want to get off my chest.” Leo continued. Leo and Diya talked things over for the rest of that night, never truly talking about anything important but that didn’t matter. Anything that could distract them from the different realities they now faced, was a blessing they couldn’t interrupt.

Chapter 14: Courting Danger
Emma wakes up the following morning feeling refreshed. She is engaged once more and maybe she should be nervous, seeing how great it worked out for her last time. The difference is this time it is her choice, she wi the one making the decision, not her parents or anyone else. Technically she had a little push in this direction because of the rumors but ultimately it was her decision to marry. The thought alone gives her butterflies. She finds herself smiling so brightly at the idea. It is funny; she doesn't remember feeling this way the last time.
She dresses quickly and is out her bedroom door. As she has promised to speak to her mother about Killian, she must tell her the news, and although things are moving fast, the decision is hers. Emma knocks at her mother's door and enters when Snow's voice comes through telling her to come in.
"Good morning, mother," Emma says a little too happily. She is happy though, and it scares her a little, but she will not dwell on that right now.
"Emma sweetheart, there is a glow to you. You look so happy," Snow says cheerfully, and then she gasps and asks, "Does this have anything to do with the mysterious man you mentioned yesterday?"
Emma looks at her mother and nods. "Yes, Mother! His name is Killian Jones and he is the steward here and-"
"Emma, did you say, Killian Jones?" her mother interrupts. "Please, tell me you are not talking about the pirate? I believe that is his name, Killian Jones, am I correct?" Snow asks.
"Yes, mother. I know Killian has a reputation but he is trying to be a better man. I thought if anyone could appreciate someone looking for a second chance, it's you," Emma says to her mother and starts pacing around the room, "How many chances did Uncle James get? Hmm? No one made more mistakes than him, Mother. I have not seen my father for years because he is out there trying to fix his brother's mistakes. You don't get to judge Killian. He is trying to atone for his past choices, not leaving the mess for someone else to clean up."" Emma says defensively.
"Emma, don't you dare compare your uncle to that man!" Snow is almost yelling at her daughter. Her loving daughter has filled her life with nothing but joy and has never given her a need to raise her voice, until today.
"Well, the man I'm to marry and the same man you obviously disapprove of is the same one. Where is your excitement for me now? You were so happy for me seconds ago and now all I hear is disapproval in my choices," Emma says as she is about to walk out of her mother's room.
"Emma, if he truly wanted to be a man of honor, why not come to me? He could have also waited for your father's arrival to ask for your hand in marriage?" Snow says, desperately trying to prove her point.
"This marriage is my idea. And as for your approval Mother, it is not like you have been in the greatest health. Please, do not blame him for any of this," Emma waves her hands between the two of them, "if it matters to you at all, he actually encourages for me to voice my opinion, above all he is my friend, we understand each other."
Emma walks out of her mother's room with unshed tears in her eyes. She'd had a feeling that her mother would not be as accepting as she'd originally led her to believe, and although things could have gone a lot better, there is nothing she can do about it right now. She will deal with what she can, therefore, she will go to the convent and talk to Mother Superior about her decision. Emma smiles in spite of the conversation she just had with her mother when she catches a glimpse of Killian in the dining room.
He sees her and smiles broadly as he stands, quickly pulling out her chair, hoping she will join him for breakfast.
"Oh, such a gentleman, but there is no need. I will not be joining you. I was actually on my way to the convent to let Mother Superior know that I will not be returning," she tells him.
Killian smiles and looks around to see if anyone is watching them. He slowly takes her hand while watching her face, and as he raises it to meet his lips, he slyly changes his tactic and catches her off guard as he pulls her to him for a kiss. Their bodies collide and somehow Killian manages to cradle her head and hold her in place. It's a soft, sweet, tender kiss that ends faster than either would have liked. They part and are both inarticulate, still lost in the sensation. For him it is a kiss so unlike any he has ever had before. For her, it is a first.
Emma's eyes slowly fluttered open and her stomach is full of butterflies. She has never been kissed before and although it was highly inappropriate, she doesn't regret it.
He looks at her and has to stop the need to touch his lips. The same spot where hers had been seconds ago. It feels like the sun has finally emerged from an abyss.
Trying to detach themselves from the overwhelming feeling, they both smile and say their goodbyes before parting.
Emma's heart is beating fast, that had been unexpected. She knew there would be some physical interactions but she never expected to feel the way she does right now. Perhaps leaving the convent is the right choice for more than just protecting her family. The thoughts and feelings she feels are in no way shape or form fitting of a nun.
Killian sits down once again and stares at his food. He is jarringly brought back to reality when Enith walks in to announce, "Sir, Mr. Hopper is here to see you."
"Thank you, Enith, I will take it from here," Killian says as he gets up from the table and walks to greet his old friend.
"Good Morning, mate. To what do I owe the honor of your visit on this amazing day?" Killian asks with a little too much glee.
Archie takes a good look at Killian. "You are awfully chipper today. Are you aware of what they are saying about you in town? To be precise, of you and one of the Nolan girls. Girls I know personally?" he asks, waiting patiently as he paces the foyer.
Killian grabs him by the arm and guides him outside of the house. "Aye, Smee stopped by and gave me the news."
"The girl you were going to marry was Milah, right? Is that the true reason you wanted the job here? Killian, what are you doing?" Archie asks, disappointment coloring his tone.
"Why assume that it was Milah? Why not Emma? Am I not good enough to capture fair Emma's, heart?" Killian asks as he purses his lips together and locks his jaw.
"First of all Killian, don't put words in my mouth. I mentioned a possible pairing between you and Emma at the convent, and you told me you two were only engaging in small talk. You dismissed the idea rather fast, if I remember correctly. I made the same comment again the last time I was here and you dismissed it once more. Now you tell me it was Emma all along? You know I love you as if you were my own flesh and blood, so don't take this personally, but I know both girls well and Milah was the obvious choice given the scandalous nature of the rumors."
"I hate to be the burden of bad news. It was always Emma, she thought that she had lost me and that is why she opted to join the convent. When she saw me, she was so bloody furious at me, she said she never wanted to see me again, that is why we lied about not knowing each other, I was just trying to protect her."
"But she was betrothed to August, we all just assumed she was heartbroken about him breaking off the engagement," Archie countered.
"About that, we met and fell in love rather fast. She was heartbroken, just not over the loss of the man you assumed. The foremost reason for the last trip I made was in hopes of becoming a better man in order to obtain her family's approval." He looks down toward his shoes, wondering if his story will hold any weight with Archie. "Alas, we have cleared the air. My love and I have resolved our issues and have decided to move forward and marry. She went to the convent to inform Mother Superior of her decision not to take the vows. I'm happy I was able to return before it was too late. I was wondering if you would be willing to help me find a house fitting of my lovely, Emma."
Archie looks at Killian and nods. He is still hesitant. He hasn't lied to Killian about knowing the Nolan girls. The rumors of the dalliance between Killian and one of the young countesses had finally reached his ears and he automatically made the assumption, that the woman in question was Milah. To him, she was the obvious choice since she had always been so reckless and Emma was the opposite.
"Archie, I know you don't believe me but I'm telling the truth and Emma will confirm my story. Now allow me to change the subject for a bit. How is the business coming along, have you had any problems?" Killian asks.
"Have you talked to her mother? Killian, please tell me you asked for her mother's blessing. Snow is a very kind woman, I don't believe she will oppose. I know she was heartbroken by Emma's decision to enter the convent. Her parents are good people, but if you are worried about the last name. I offer you mine once more," Archie tells him.
Killian smiles and answers, "Emma, accepts me as I am."
"I know of all her qualities and I'm not surprised. I'm more concerned with her parents. Sadly, you are not exactly the type of man they envisioned their daughter to marry. Killian, they are good people but your reputation may not make it easy, perhaps if you had my last name it would be easier?"
"I will ask again, is the business running well?"
"Everything is running smoothly. A lot better than I thought it would. I was also thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to contact Emma's father. He has an export business in Arendelle and we could perhaps partner with him," Archie says enthusiastically, finally letting Killian have his change of subject.
"Emma's father is in Arendelle?" Killian asks.
"Yes, I have mentioned him before. His name is David Nolan, he owns Nolan Importing and Exporting," Archie replies.
Killian turns whiter than a fresh sail. Her father is the owner of the business he had gone to Arendelle for, the final job.
"Is everything alright?" Archie asks with concern. " Killian?"
"That is where I was when I was detained on false accusations, I may add, luckily I came across an honorable Navy officer. One that happened to be my long lost older brother. Liam Long. Did you know of him?" Killian asks.
Archie simply smiles, "That is great news, and I vaguely remember hearing your father mention him once, a long time ago. I'm very happy you two found each other. Why not mention it before?" Archie asks as he pulls Killian into a hug.
Killian looks at Archie. "To be honest, I didn't feel much like celebrating at the time. I returned from the trip to the news I had lost my love." He is being honest, just not about the particular love he had lost.
"One last thing Killian, I support your relationship with Emma. The only thing I have a problem with is how the two of you have dealt with the situation," Archie says as he zips his lips to confirm that it is, in fact, the last thing he will say on the matter.
"Good Morning, Mother Superior," Emma greets the head nun.
"Emma, is everything alright?" Mother Superior asks with concern as she picks up on Emma's demeanor. "Is your mother okay?" she asks as she remembers the declining health of the convent's old benefactor.
"Yes, Mother Superior, everything is okay. My visit is only temporarily as I have come back to inform you that I will not be returning. I want to thank you for all your generosity. I found love, just like my mother and you had told me I would, I apologize for being so stubborn," Emma says to her kind confidant.
"I'm happy for you Emma, I hope to meet the lucky man soon."
Emma just nods her head, avoiding making any promises. "I'll just collect my things," Emma says as she excuses herself and heads for her room.
Emma knocks at the door and is welcomed by Tink.
"Oh Emma, are you back?" Tink asks.
"No, I'm here to pick up my things, I have some news I would love to share," Emma tells her friend.
"Oh, of course," Tink says as she sits on the bed and waves for Emma to join her.
"I'm getting married," Emma says, she takes a breath and continues, "to Killian, your good friend."
The look on Tinks face goes from curious to furious in seconds. "When you left I advised you to go after your cousin's man, not mine, how could you? I thought we were friends!" Tink screams at her.
"I am your friend, I'm sorry," Emma says. "We don't always choose love, Tink, sometimes it chooses us."
Tink doesn't respond, only stares at her with anger and hurt before getting up and storming out of the room.
Emma quickly finishes packing and leaves the convent.
Emma arrives at the Booth Estate to find Archie and Killian who have moved back inside, lost in conversation in the office. They both smile as soon as they see her.
"Am I interrupting?" Emma asks hesitantly.
"Of course not, love," Killian answers as he approaches her and gently grabs her hand and guides her to the available chair in front of the desk.
"Archie heard the rumors and I have confirmed our torrid love affair and plans to wed," Killian informs Emma. She looks between the two men.
"I'm sorry if I have disappointed you, Archie," Emma says.
"I'm not disappointed in you. I had hoped for a relationship between the two of you," Archie says and points to them, "Killian, kept insisting it was not a possibility. So imagine my surprise when I heard a rumor about Killian and one of the Nolan girls having an affair. An affair Killian assures me was real and with you."
"He is not lying; we met and just fell in love so fast. Then I feared I had lost him and I just couldn't go on. I joined the convent because of my broken heart, but when I saw him at the convent once again I knew my heart was still his. I'm sorry we lied about knowing each other but Killian was only trying to protect my image. Mother Superior never truly believed my vocation was true. I think she was just giving me time to heal my broken heart. Now I understand what a mistake I was going to make." Emma knows full well that although she is being honest about the feelings she had and what had led her to the convent's door, it was for a different man. She cared for August but she had never really known him. How could she claim love for him if she had no idea who he truly was? Then there is Killian, she had gotten to know him. They have talked about things that may not be suitable but he truly listens to her.
Archie studies her face and simply says, "Emma I'm truly happy that Killian found you. I know things may not be easy but I will support the two of you. I was telling Killian that I think it would be a good fit for his new business to work with your father. I wanted to suggest for me to take a trip to propose a joint business venture to your father."
"I thought my father was set to return by next month?" Emma asks.
"Yes, that is true, but there was an attempt on his business and he wants to tie up some loose ends before he departs. I could go and help him with the legal aspects and God willing, we will return together by the time he had planned," Archie says. Standing from the his char, Archie announces that he will be taking his leave. "Please, excuse me with your mother for not saying hello. I will be leaving now as I want to leave for Arendelle as soon as possible. Killian, I will be leaving Smee in charge while I'm gone.
"Aye," Killian replies simply as he sits there deep in worried thought. He doesn't believe David Nolan or Archie are aware of his involvement in the failed attempt on the business. At least he hopes there is no proof. Should he tell Emma?
Emma notices his change in mood after Archie takes his leave. "Killian, you are awfully quiet."
"Just basking in your beauty, love," he flirts.
Emma smiles and looks away. Should she tell him about her dreadful conversation with Tink or how well her mother received the engagement news?
Snow decides to ask Cora for help, she hopes that she can help get through to Emma and change her mind about marrying Killian. She has heard the staff mention her dislike for Killian on several occasions. She knocks on the woman's door, hoping to find the assistance she seeks.
"Snow, good morning, darling," Cora says as she greets her old friend and guides her inside. "What brings you out of your room? Is there a problem?"
"It is Emma, I'm afraid she is about to make the biggest mistake of her life. She wants to marry Killian Jones, your new steward," Snow says with shame all over her face.
Cora looks at Snow and she cannot help feel triumphant. She knew Emma would heed her concerns.
"I gather you don't agree," Cora says.
"He is a pirate! Cora, how can you ask me that? You are not his biggest supporter either. Why are you so calm about this?" Snow asks with outrage.
"I'm not calm about this. I just feel so much guilt over what my son did to her. He broke her heart and if my support in this marriage is what she requires, I will grant it. I'm sorry Snow."
Snow leaves the room in shock, she can't believe Cora would support this union. She hopes David is back before it is too late, he is her last hope.
