Hello. I don't know if this is a question you get a lot but I would like to know how did you learn how to make music ? because they are really catchy and I would love to learn how to make music for video games

Im self taught when it comes to composing, I pirated FL Studio when I was 15 and started screwing around with it, mostly using soundfonts from different video games to make extremely simplistic songs. I didn’t and still dont know how to play keyboard or anything, so I just messed around with the piano roll and manually input notes into the program and gradually got a better ear for stuff over time

Ok before I continue to fail to beat the Toby Fox allegations I do need to say: his music really never really influenced mine. HOWEVER this tutorial is honestly what inspired me to start writing music and I still barely do anything more complicated than what’s laid out here:

I still really think that just messing with video game soundfonts, having fun, not overcomplicating things or having too high a bar for myself was a really good way to start off. I dont think I’d be where I am now if i wasn’t happy starting off making like, 20 second long songs with 2 instruments that sound like they’re from a subpar atari game soundtrack. You don’t have to do any of what I did specifically, but I do think finding any program and screwing around with it — with intent to explore rather than to make an amazing finished product — is a great way to start and get yourself excited to learn 👍

As for how to create ideas for songs: Idk most of the time I don’t have an idea I just pick a random instrument and randomly input shit in the piano roll until I accidentally come up with a combination of a couple notes that sounds semi interesting and use that as a jumping off point. Maybe not the best way to go about it but it is an option

3. After 3 days of fasting, the hunger goes away. Push through it & you’ll notice it gets easier. When u break your fast ALWAYS do it with something healthy like fruits or vegetables. Going back to like ice cream will ruin the dopamine receptors and you will crave unhealthy foods again. - source I can’t remember but ive heard it heaps on YT videos & ive tried it and can vouch for that tip.

4. After 2mins of running or high intensity exercise, your body runs out of energy & begins to fuel you by producing cortisol to keep u going. High amounts of cortisol results in your body storing BELLY FAT. So if u happen to notice that u store belly fat mainly, that could be the reason. 5. Starvation mode is a myth. Look at prisoners of war for example. They are so emaciated due to lack of food, if “starvation mode” was true, they wouldn’t end up like that. Maybe u may not loose for a few days but that is your body holding water or possibly gaining muscle, if it prolongs further than this see my next tip. 6. Your body has a natural rhythm known as the circadian rhythm. This in short like an internal clock that regulates our sleep-wake cycle and other bodily functions. It helps us feel awake during the day and sleepy at night. It's influenced by factors like light exposure, hormones, and daily routines. It means that your body doesn’t digest food the same at night, if at all. It isn’t supposed to. If u feed yourself after 6-8pm, the digestion process is slower, much slower. This can cause to hormones being released at the wrong time, storing fat, keeping u awake etc. It is best to not eat after 6pm (if u heard this tip from ur mother growing up, it is actually science backed, its not so u “eat less & that makes u loose weight” its because u stop eating after a certain time. 7. Birth-control whacks out your hormones. If u are on BC & find u have all these cravings & can’t seem to restrict, thats most likely the reason why. A lot of doctors will tell u “its just water weight” but thats not the case. The constant stream of synthetic hormones keeps your body in a state that similarly reflects how u feel the week before your period (bloated, craving, tired etc) and u feel this way continuously. 8. Also on the topic of hormones, if u aren’t loosing weight no matter what u do or its very slow progress, it can be due to a hormonal imbalance. Exactly which one im not sure, it depends on you and your body. U can see which hormones are out of balance via online tests (idk what to google i read it in a book). Completing tests online can give u a rough idea of which hormones may be unbalanced and then u can go to your doctor and request certain tests to medically check. Your dr can then advise you on what to do to balance them. You may also have hyperthyroidism which can make u constantly tired, unable to loose weight and sensitive to stress. That is all i can think of rn. I have read all books i have sited & many many more. There is definitely a huge science to weight loss and i may make another post in the future stating what i have learnt. Most books are written by drs or people of similar qualifications. I applied all these to my life and loose weight continuously. My mother is also a certified nutritionist, personal trainer and life coach & she also follows all these things & has read the same if not more books. She is almost 50 & bmi 18.3 & has consistently been this way for my whole 21yrs of living even after having 3 kids. She doesn’t loose weight due to her high calorie intake (like 3k cals a day) but she also doesn’t gain weight so if u follow these examples by restricting u will see major weightloss. I also have lost 5kg in 8 days from following these tips this relapse & last relapse i lost 30kg in 4ish months from these tips.

HI really love your thoughts on stuff. do you think succession - as a tv show with a script - makes all of its negative statements negatively or positively? this is something im having trouble with, specially with shiv and the overwhelming misogyny. i understand its quite literally real life. but they know the importance of media as a statement that defines real life - its sort of meta, but the whole thing with whether or not calling mencken, knowing it would affect politics, is something that can reflect on the show itself. i dont think i fully agree with what they do to shiv in the way they portray the misogyny. it feels like a "and thats how it will always be" more than "thats how its been". idk. maybe I just hate misogyny and cant stand to see that. but everything is a statement. what do u think?

well in general i agree that, yeah, the show is more interested in satire and criticism than offering any kind of imaginative solution or alternative. so, if you want to watch something that suggests alternatives to logan-style misogyny (& i'd understand why) then i think you're going to be dissatisfied with this show. like, obviously even with logan gone, his influence still haunts the company and the family, and anyway the broader structures of capitalism and its use / exploitation of women were always much larger than logan alone. all of this also applies to how roman and kendall (& to a lesser extent connor) are punished for failing to live up to standards of masculinity; logan feminised kendall to punish him for business failures and derided roman for what he saw as a more innate femininity that made roman disgusting to him.

i actually think gender is a strong suit for the show. it's very deeply interested in how they each relate to standards of bourgeois masculinity and femininity, and how these strictures are confining and punishing (often literally, as logan used them as tools of his abuse). for shiv she lived up to some of logan's femands for an heir (her emotional repression, flashes of killer instinct) but was ultimately always doomed by the fact that logan saw her as permanently being his little girl, denied a body (bc this was less disgusting to him than thinking of her as a woman) and never the right fit for his corporate mould, even when she was trying her hardest to fit it. roman and kendall ofc pick up on this and the way her gender can be used in itself to lock her out of the upper echelons of power (a walking pair of teats, all the men got together in man club). but ultimately this is a dissection of misogyny and masculinity, not a suggestion for escape.

i have mixed feelings about the sort of ethical argument here. it is fair to say that succession has a fundamentally conservative ethos in the sense that the satire and snark angle is uninterested in offering solutions or imagining alternatives. it's grounded in exploring capitalism, fascism, the resulting gender politics, &c, and to the extent that it challenges these things, it's by portraying them as worthy of mockery. it's not a leftist political treatise. but like, i think there's a can of worms to open here in terms of asking how revolutionary a television show is capable of being simple by virtue of the medium. like, even if the content is radical internally, does is matter that the form is still one embedded in capitalist production, ie, that the show is a commodity on the same market? i identify the root of misogyny within the capitalist mode of production; how far is something made within these parameters capable of going in offering any kind of alternative? and also, do we care? like, am i watching tv because i'm looking for radical politics? again, this doesn't negate the critique of succession's critique. but i do think it's a bit... trite? to ask tv to be some kind of moral guide---particularly on a show where the premise is such that any 'challenge' to misogyny would still be constrained within the bourgeois world the characters inhabit.

y'know I really do feel sorry for the younger 20 somethings (and anyone in general tbh) that are suffering from tiktok brain rot around "anti-aging" advice. like the other day, I had a review/reaction video from I think james walsh the beauty influencer in my fb watch feed, where he was reviewing/debunking the bs anti-aging advice that people give on tiktok.

one of the videos he reacted to was from some 21yo beauty influencer or some rando idk, I'm not on there. her piece of advice was to "always sleep on your back like a vampire to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and crows feet. that's how I stay looking so fresh... even though yes I'm 21 which contributes quite a bit but still. be disciplined about sleeping on your back ALL NIGHT, EVERY NIGHT to get the PERFECT SKIN!!!" like im sorry, what???? you're 20 fucking one (21). why the FUCK do you feel compelled to give "anti-aging" advice??? why the fuck do you even care about anti-aging stuff when you're like at least 10 YEARS away from any considerable signs of aging beginning to slowly show??? get the fuck out of the house and enjoy nature or some shit. instead of lamenting that you're "getting so old by the minute so I MUST ELIMINATE laugh lines and crows feet even though im still only 21."

DOGTOOTH - Tyler, The Creator: he creates once more! i always forget i had a kinda big tyler thing in high school until he releases new music. out of all his recent releases post-Flower Boy, Call Me didnt connect with me as much, but this single from the Call Me If You Get Lost "estate sale" of stuff that didnt make the album surprisingly did! it feels a little flowerboy-ish in the production but has the call me vibes of like "i can afford all these cars, buy my neighbors house, and ill still take my private plane to Switzerland for the day just cuz i was craving some nice chocolate" very braggadocio, very tyler, very good :)

Dumbass!! - Machine Girl: this song both sounds like and has similar effects as brainworms. it fuckin. got in there and made me quantifiably more insane than i was before. said brainworms make me wanna scream the lyrics and scuffle my feet and just like run into traffic and dance around the cars bc this song makes me believe i could and id be fine. i hope to fucking god they play this at the mg/100 gecs show. this song is also one of the few times ive looked up the lyrics for a machine girl song, usually content to just let the beats jar my head, and as soon as i did i couldnt get them out :) like some sort of... thought... eating... something or other idk theres probably a word for it (<-the worms are finally getting to her)

Fantastic Cat - Takako Minekawa: this song is sooooo cute, there is so much synth and whimsy to be had! unfortunately i don't know much about the artist bc this was one of the first songs i found after using Radiooooo (which u should be basically required to use if u like music and finding new music) set to Japan in the 90s, but she's part of the 'shibuya-kei' genre/subculture that was popular during that time, which sounds like an interesting topic to dive into :3 the whimsy contained in this song is almost too much tho. the melody is so sweet, that wind instrument is so silly, and the moog breakdown in the middle too is. well, its all quite fantastic.

HI 5 - Frost Children: i took too long making this post that this entry went from originally a cheeky indirect plug for their upcoming album bc i just really liked this single to just,, oh the album came out... but either way i wanted to talk about the song bc 2 me its just more proof of how exciting of a voice in hyperpop the frost children are. the bass on it is as crazy and slick as the one on the cover. this whole song just explodes with eccentricity i think ull really like it :) also check out the epic music video! its ai generated for those who'd like to know beforehand, but they use it to like. rotoscope real footage its preddy neat!

Introduce me to your family - Otoboke Beaver: i made a little post recently about Otoboke Beaver's influence on six impala's WFLYTD, and after revisiting their album, Itekoma Hits, after making that post i got this one stuck in my head for a while. the hook hooks (the main reason i had it in my head for so long), the bass is groovy, the guitars are sharp, the rage is channeled, its all here! they keep all the energy going and growing the whole time until you cant help but scream along.

(Kongaragatta!/Tangled up!)- Necry Talkie: started reading the bocchi manga recently (im just past where the show ends as of now :3) and they have art at the beginning of each chapter with the kessoku band members that references visuals from like irl japanese bands and music videos which i thought was really cool! of course i had to find a collection of all the referenced songs, and what do ya know... this cute little number was in there! (if ur wondering it's the art for chapter 18 that references this song's music video :3) its such a dinky beat at first (said so so lovingly) but it evolves into a precise, energetic little jam.

One Million Dollars - 100 gecs: this fucking sonnng.. not everyones fav off 10k i know but it is for me :3 it just rattles me in such a specific way. it originated and is the only way to sate the need in my brain to hear what it was like for nic cage in that "not the bees!!!!" scene. i love it sm, but im absolutely biased from my hearing this at a gec show and falling for it right then and there. the live version and the album version are a bit different and i think the changes they made for the album make it a fuller song i just. loved the feeling of hearing this live so much. i would just search up the epic live version at terminal 5 where Laura fucking SHREDS on the guitar at the end over and over while i was waiting for the album. again, makes me very excitied to see them and machine girl soon :3

o (__*) - Hakushi Hasegawa: i dont know much about this artist but goddamn the few songs i have heard from them have made such an impression. u know a song is good when its not even dnb but uses the "yeah.. woo!" sample to keep everything going. and yeah with how crazy fucking banana bonkers jazzy and technical the drums and piano get at times it needs that tiny bit of stability at least. this song feels like the epitome of controlled chaos in the absolute best way possible.

PARTY GIRL - Angel Electronics: after rook's latest solo album came out i decided to go back and visit this collab project of hers with ash nerve i had missed at first and.... weeeeeeh ;w; this song makes me wanna cry every time. rook can obviously write some bangers but i love her more tender songs too. so many parts come together to make it just the sweetest thing. the part that stuck with me the most was the chorus, like it's sooo cute id just sing it to myself on loop bc it leads into itself so well. i wanna just keep talking about how fucking cute this song is but like George Costanza voice the love story between the party girl and the weird shy girl got to me okay?

Prime - Marnie Stern: kinda the reason im making this list hehe :3 this song was on char 'igottawin' mp3's most recent WILT (what im listening to) poast (hi char :3) and it was What Im was Listening To... too... (both of us bc of this epic animation) so here it is on MY knockoff WILT post too mwahaha hahaha! haha but seriously guys this song is quite good. it does so much with all the variations on just that one verse and i get sucked into the lyrics and the guitars. and by the fourth time im chanting this same unending verse the song is surprisingly over and i just wanna listen to it again. this one deserves a 10 hr extended version frfr

Wait and Bleed - Slipknot & 青春コンプレックス(Seishun Complex) - Kessoku Band: whats this? a double entry? ahaha yes! 😈 i would've put these songs here separately bc ive been getting into both slipknot (thank u char :3) and the actual kessoku band album, both of which are quite good on their own. but i only combine their entries here bc of this epic mashup of these two songs by the aforementioned rook blackdresses which makes me unable to sing either without thinking of the other song. like the first three chords of the bocchi theme start playing and my brain wants to scream the GOODBYEEEEEE from Wait and Bleed. the slipknot chorus melds with the kessoku band guitars soooo well. to me they are pieces from different puzzles entirely but they still fit together <3

okay so i do think my timeline theory does in fact work actually better now with the new dates that we have

again if you havent heard me talk about this i have a standing theory that by closing night of tour taylor will have announced all of the rest of the rerecords

so as we’ve all been thinking 1989 tv is gonna (clowning) be announced next week on 8/9 aka closing night of the first us leg. evidence to support this is literally everything taylor has done since red tv era, the sofi stadium post where they had a picture of a lifeguard tower with 1989 (taylors version written on it), all of these influencers and taylors friends being invited and going to these LA shows, people are also using the lyrics from when emma falls in love “shes so new york when shes in LA” which would be very true if she announced 1989tv in LA. i personally think 1989tv will be announced on 8/9 the same way speak now was announced in nashville, with a release date sometime in september or october and i do think thats for a reason because she has a VERY large break in tour which is very much needed but we all know blondie doesnt sleep so shes probably gonna be doing a BUNCH of promo and running around for 1989tv.

now onto 8/17/24 that is the last london date and this date stuck out to me specifically because she added SO MANY NEW EUROPE DATES but she refused to change this to be the last (at the time) eras tour date? so i immediately knew she was planning something on that date. before these new dates we got today i thought it was gonna be debut tv and she would announce rep somewhere in the middle of int tour. but even i didnt really believe that because rep is so london coded?? like out of all the places london seems to be the most reasonable to announce rep tv in. it also stuck out to me because SHES GOING TO LONDON ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS YALL so i think shes gonna announce rep tv on the last london date with a release date somewhere around the same time as 1989tv so in september or october and because she now has shows in october she might pull a speak now tv and have the release date be a show night!

this is the newest addition to the theory is debut i definitely think shes gonna rush debut probably even quicker than speak now was rushed. i think for debut it’s either gonna be an instant release (“taylor swift my version is out at midnight tonight yee haw” type deal) or within that month because i think she wants all of these rerecordings OUT before TS11 which we all know shes working on. she of course is gonna have vinyls cds cassettes all the normal physical copys but probably wont be readily available for the next month or so due to production because no matter what the haters say debut tv is gonna move mountains and changes lives mark my WORDS. now the inly wonky thing about this theory is that it really doesnt make sense for her to announce debut in canada? like i gave an excuse for rep and 1989 but literally cant think of one for canada idk you could make a joke about how she forgets about debut like she almost forgot about canada idk lmao

manipulation does not have to be intentional to be manipulative. people with untreated BPD are often extremely manipulative but nothing they're doing is out of malice, they're just feeling extreme emotions that cause them to act in certain ways and develop certain dynamics... which are manipulative.

see, both can be true. manipulation isn't some abstract evil you intentionally weave into existence. i mean for some it is, but not most. but humans have certain natural and predictable responses to certain behaviors. crying is always gonna trigger sympathy because evolutionarily thats WHY ITS THERE. we don't cry for us, we cry to signal to our kin that we require aid.

same with yelling and being angry, it very reliably results in defensiveness and antipathy. the thing i notice about these discussions tho that bugs me is the implicit double standard. i can almost guarantee you that none of the people on the "normalize crying" side of the issue would be willing to extend a single shred of their prescriptions onto, say, guys who yell because they get genuinely angry or even just worked up/excited.

no, all of a sudden the normal human behavior whose very purpose for being is to communicate emotion and consequently induce reactions (cuz we're highly social animals) is actually manipulation and something which needs to be completely excised from a conversation or else you're quite frankly a terrible person and also innately a threat. but when that behavior is crying, suddenly we need to rise above our instinctual responses to emotional outbursts in order to be all uwu soft boy towards people who cry compulsively and without any sense of proportionality and really wish other people were just... less empathetic about people crying? is that a better world? one where nobody feels an innate emotional pull towards someone crying?

we want to be permissive of, shall we say, excess emotionality. but you can't extend that only to the emotionality that is comfortable for you to deal with. and people will say "oh but the crying response is often a product of abuse and trauma". which seems to imply that male anger is... not a product of trauma? so what, its innate then? men are just naturally only able to feel and express emotions through anger? cuz idk that kinda sounds like the pernicious psychological abuse of patriarchy on men resulting in toxic masculinity to me. but what do i know, im just a mentally ill person who tends towards yelling in the situations where some of my mentally ill peers tend towards crying, so basically im an evil man trying to silence women 🤷‍♂️

honestly tho, idk what the right answer is. there should probably be more understanding than there is now and more space for humans to be emotional in conversation, but there's always a point at which the only responsible way to handle it is to remove yourself from the situation. because displaying emotion NECESSARILY influences the behavior of other people and the interaction as a whole. again, i cannot overstate how social we are as animals, that's why that's the case, we can't escape it. but im sorry if you're like ugly crying and trying to have a convo or god forbid an argument with someone, thats not fair to them. you can't ask them to "just ignore it, bro", thats a situation where you just gotta leave and come back to it when you can compose yourself in a manner which doesn't induce an excess and undue level of manipulation. same with yelling. some should probs be acceptable, but too much and it's time to leave and cool down.

Listen, I really don't want to put down anybody's art or designs, especially as some petty attempt to raise up my own designs, since obviously my own are definitely the product of my own tastes and interests, but this is just my own personal opinion (and unsolicited advice) so here goes:

most of your "human designs" are kind of silly sorry

if you looked for a person with roughly the same personality and lifestyle as that character im willing to bet 80 percent of the time they would not fucking look or dress like that

sure the ones where its just their surface level motifs plastered onto a generic white anime boy are bad but i think the designs where they invariably look like a coquettish 18-25-yr-old who does alt fashion and makeup videos on tiktok are like almost the same exact thing, just on the other end of the horseshoe.

like im not even saying either are necessarily bad its just that both are obviously self-indulgent and based moreso on your own tastes than any careful consideration of what the original design is trying to communicate or what that kind of person would look like in real life. AND- and i am especially disappointed when a its a character that should be allowed to look older and maybe not totally conventionally attractive or fashionable or like someone who wears makeup often because really thats a lot of people and its more often than not closer to the kind of real-life people those characters are supposed to be of an analogue to.

part of this is also that a lot of the time the art style used for these designs has a major case of same face syndrome (even when, ironically, the art style of the original media has a lot of variety in features and head shapes) so, in lieu of a distinctive visage, one has to fuck around with a lot of extraneous details and acessories and way-overdesigned hairstyles (which something both ends of the aforementioned horseshoe have in common, btw) in order to make it distinct. my advice is to practice a little caricature, look around, even on pinterest, for people, actors, musicians, fashion influencers OUTSIDE YOUR WHEELHOUSE, etc. with interesting and unique faces/profiles and see how you can isolate their most distinct features and make that into a workable, simplified design, and once you work out how to do that it, in tandem with a unique body silhouette, can really carry a character design, removing the need for too many other details

You are so real for saying the thing about the main reason TOP was chosen for the dearmoon crew. Im not throwing shade. It is was it is. The man doesnt get enough credit for his networking skill. Dare I say he is naturally better at the game than most people would think. Everything about his personality just magically aligns to create this image of warm-on-the-inside cool guy which is already appealing to most people, which I believe he really is but to a much more exaggerated degree in the case of stage image. The thing is, people expect him to be this wild card so even its just him loosen up a bit its already a game changer. He effortlessly charms everyone that way. I think he definitely awares of this power and knows how to use it well. And thats just the tip of the iceberg. Unlike SR, TOP is lucky his main interest is arts. Artist circle has always been full of elites and old money. These guys know how to keep their things behind the curtain. And idk if most fans are aware it, unlike what TOPs trying to do give off that aloof vibe, he care a great deal of what others thing of him. With dearmoon, he definitely has good intentions but it seems lacking self-awareness the way he put it as “for greater cause”, especially when we also have a space-dedicated youtuber on the same crew. Tbh the way I see it, dearmoon is a space business trip lol. TOP just happen to tick all the boxes they have in terms of needing someone with big social influence.

You get what I am saying, TOP picked a lucrative and highly esteemed hobby that has done more for him than he has done for it, but top gives the illusion he has done a lot for the industry. Seungri got wrapped up in the maknae curse of not outgrowing his idol and agency duties of picking activites and business ventures where you yourself have to work overtime to exert physical involvement and be the hype for your product. Seungri played checkers and TOP Played chess, you don't see top involving himself in activities and deals that require him being in public pandering, putting in a lot of work and literal socializing to make his projects a hit like the aori ramen (I may have gotten the name wrong) or burning sun. Burning sun was the worse investment SR ever made and he had to over involve himself in it and overexert himself meanwhile TOP, I mean this nicely, picks hobbies he can be physically lazy in that he already has great interest in that is easy to finnesse if you know what you're doing. what top does despite his immense passion for it, is no different than what a typical tumblr user who loves art just as much as him does. He just incorporates it into his personal and professional life with consistency and the aura of being a master at what he knows.

Also, yes, top knows what he's doing. TOP has excessive spending habits and loves a lavish lifestyle now. He knew and knows he needs an interest / side career that can keep that lucrative income in his pocket. Art is old money and new money combined, the most powerful people in the world are invested in art or have some inclination to it. Seungri took a carrie bradshaw ignorant route and involved himself with ventures that don't pay at all and don't keep your money long, sigh. Good for top though. honestly, if I ever dated an older man or someone of means, I would rush straight to the art scene and snag a man LOL. Sothebys auction house baby, here I come. I'm still waiting for him to do more work with Sothebys but it seems on a stand still and a one time thing back then. TOP needs to get his wine into another business that sells all sorts of wine and not just be a self seller of it, he's too big for that. Also, although it's criminal, you can launder and store money through expensive paintings so we never know if top is the tax evading type to do that.

another thing: I think top avoids relationships at least that serious and mature like the plague cause he knows he wouldn't have the freedom and room to be fully focused on the art world and his wine if he was with someone. this sounds mean but dating is like being a parent to an adult you are having sexual / romantic relations with. I know thats a weird analogy but it is. Especially with top dating the younger girls. it's a responsibility and you can't really rise in the art world with a hanger on unless it's a woman who has her own wealth and interests or is from the same industry.

Basically. He fit what they were looking for and he had great influence but wasn't TOO overhyped or like craze worthy i.e a bts guy that would have distracted from the mission itself. if you have a legit skin condition it can be really helpful in managing those painful/uncomfortable/embarrassing symptoms

even if you dont have a skin condition, learning how to take care of your skin is really useful for your overall health! its an organ that needs care and attention like any other

it just feels good to moisturize and have a clean face, etc.

its a relatively low-effort activity, which i appreciate esp when i'm not feeling well

Aight, so here we go, be ready cuz shit's long.

(1st part - The Rui n the gang meeting; The Shou meeting) No Tw

Honestly, I also kinda wanted to do this for quite a long time, so I'm gonna firstly talk about how the gang (w/o really mentioning the others name's since they're gonna get introduced soon) met itself and decided to form, and then I'll individually do It in Lyva's and Shou's case, specifically Shou's since i mentioned that his meetin was somethin id have to take care of in another post, so i will rn.

First things first, w the whole gang. Now It wasn't really casually, mainly because Lyva n Rui did meet up, but It was during a special occasion still, that being a really important manifestation in one of the main regions in my oc universe. (They don't have name's yet so pls don't bash me🤡) Them being primarly the Forest, where Rui eventually lives in after all of his past shit, the near-countryside part, where Lyva was living, a pretty much city living on water, where Shou's currently living, and many more, as such the dunes with which I'll introduce Qiran (hopefully tomorrow/today),The sea itself, some High up places and as I said many, many other more. Other than this brief intro, they meet up where Lyva used to live, but mainly because of problems and out of conviniance.

Everyone had something to take back from, so they agreed to help eachother to reach that end, so it's all really planned. Now i won't really go w Lyva, cuz i explained how she met Rui the first time n how they helped her, so I don't need to ramble more on this. Now I'm gonna go w Shou's part though.

This Is more of a note i wanted y'all to know first, cuz i really like how Lyva n Rui met him the first time (cuz the second time was when the gang then all agreed to form n all that jazz.). Basically, Rui n Lyva were out, n visiting new places as such, to prepare themselves further and to try and search for more weapons, cuz they both knew that they'd eventually get in trouble, and even though they still are good, they wouldn't stand much a chance, n since Shou's Place is known for its production they decided to go. N fun fact, there's many funny shit that happends, for example Rui tries to touch a fish, but gets SLAPPED by It. They're still mad >:[. Ajkskdj anyways, some other stuff happends n they just, lose themselves. They had a map ofc but still managed to do so. But Rui was usin It so, I don't really blame em for gettin lost.

Shit happends n they find themselves pratically in front of his shrine/palace. Shou's servitors (cuz he saw everything happend from afar n gave them the okay) brought em in, but rather than makin em idk some tea n just making them recouver, Shou rather put them under some "tests" w/o tellin em, to see if they were any use.

For example he brought them some cups of tea, but before drinking them Rui noticed somethin unusual in the water, so they gave Lyva a sign to not drink It, n as Shou asked as a reason why they just replied that they weren't thirsthy, leavin Shou in a kind of defeated state. Bitch if i love this part honestly, there's so much fun to seein all of their reactions, but I'm gonna go brief rn. So other of this tests pass later n Shou eventually gets upset cuz they're all winnin n seemingly makin fun of him, lettin him in a weaket standpoint, n a fight happends. Even though it's a 2v1 situation he can still manage pretty well, so It ends in a draw. They get to talk after this and get to understand that they don't have to necesseraly be on the opposite side, though Shou Is still unsure whether to belive in that or not.

After they leave him, pratically almost alone w only a bunch of servitors helpin him. He admits defeat n won't show up until the event and yadayada. (Also it's during this weak time of his he'll meet Qiran which i already have plans w so it's all goin to be said bout their relationship in their post.)

(2nd part, the father mention.) Tw:father mention

So it's true that w Shou i did mention his father, but I'm not entirely sure bout his involvment honestly. In theory he kind of is a villain itself, even because of his devilish nature, so it's true, but im not sure whether to make him an independent villain or part of a group of them. But rather than that yes, i do want to make him some sort of villain in the end, because that's also part of Shou's agreement to be part of the group. I will make concept art for him so he'll definetly be involved. Not gonna lie, mabye that bastards also involved w Rui's cult too in a way or another but im givin in too many details holy shit I'll never get outta this fuck

(3rd part- where do they live) No Tw

They live in their own homes honestly, but It would be no surprise if they'd all decide to sleep over someone in specifical, though they have their own place. I made some concepts for Rui's intern home, which here It Is 😤 (forgive me for the bad quality but it's 2 am rn 🤡) I made this a while ago but only did Rui's, so I'll do Lyva's, Shou's n the other one's too. They live in different places, for the exception of, atm, Qiran, since I'm gonna say that they're more of a traveller n don't have a stable home.

(4th part- the mental/physical ilnesses) Tw: Self harm and Mental ilness mention

Well, this Is gonna be a ride. They all suffer from Ptsd, which Rui n Shou suffering from It the most. It still affects them all, though in different occasions, so Imma just do them in specifical. (Also because i gotta add some shit to shou that i didn't wanna add because i thought It was too much honestly)

Rui-

It affects them really much. They use crystals n gems to avoid anything going w their past or anything remotely related It, as whenever they feel awful about havin those flashbacks when they still were a child. They never want to talk about what happened, n during their moments It gets really, really bad. Both emotionally and physically, as their body sometimes cannot handle anything so it completely shuts down. They never really got any help for It as Rui's too scared to share bout their experience, both because of trauma itself that doesn't make them say anything even if they wanted to and because of the cults influence, so either way they've got to handle It by their own.

Lyva-

Other than havin to deal w mornin sickness, which Is the least for her, she has to deal w her neglectful childood and how desperate she's always been for litteraly anythin, whether it's related about love,friendship, food, toys, anything. She tried to seek for help and semi found It, but as of now she can't keep up w It and has better things to take care of. It's still really bad overall, but she's hoping for things to get better. Spoiler It really won't.

Shou-

It's... really fucking bad. I'm gonna get outta this w saying something i didn't want to add because it's really triggerin, but im gonna do It now. So basically, I've mentioned them acting feminenly for his own mother, but i didn't say what would've happened if he displeased her. She would just stare down at him and whispering some awful shit or names. This would happen especially whenever he'd slip off that mask of his or revealed even a tiny bit of his devilish essence. Note that he's still a child here. So, best thing he could to was to "punish" himself, which basically consists of him scratching his arms too much and, i don't really want to continue this, forgive me but it's kind of triggering even for me. But...you can guess what he's doing, since he even to this day still keeps sharp nails. I'm sorry for putting this, but it's another way to show how his mother fucked him up and now suffering from this.

I feel like it's the cool thing to do, you know to make fun of him right now and I just don't feel like it. I feel sad for him because though I obviously don't know what's going on bts I can't help but feel he isn't doing too good. Here’s the thing: Henry can do better.

Bar none, he can do better. He’s choosing not to do any form of healing or internal work. He’s choosing to make silly decisions. He is 38, at some point he needs to stop being babied and held accountable, and that is where this started. Fans expected better, he failed to meet that, and the reaction was jarring to people. When you used to love something and the rose coloured glasses are taken off, it’s jarring, you’re going to be emotional about it. You’re going to be nasty, that’s how it works. You feel angry and embarassed at yourself for giving so much time to something that turned out to be false, and you need them to feel what you felt. Classic projection. I’m actually angry at ME for feeling, so im going to be angry at YOU for making me feel that way. I don’t think anyone think that it’s become “cool” per say to make fun of him, I believe that we’re community based creatures, and we’ll always go where the group goes. It’s not “cool” it’s just where everyone is at the moment. And to not follow the group is to be shunned. A couple of weeks ago I was on the tag, and there were anons hassling long time henry fans saying “are you leaving the fandom i cant believe you still like him blah blah”, and those people had to say either they’re taking a break cause they can’t handle it, or they agree and they’re leaving. And all of this is over NV of all people. But that's the thing is we see all these things that people aren't doing, comparing them to ourselves saying "I would never" but you also were raised in an entirely different environment and family. HC seems to believe that being silent is the best way to go, probably because he was raised that way. He made one call out post and got the reaction he got: guess what he’s now learnt to never do that again. What’s he going to reform back to now? Being silent. I don’t feel that the people around HC are a good influence. I do feel that that isn’t helping his mindset, and he is being dragged down by said people, but he’s also not taking responsibility to change that. A member of his FAMILY is apart of his work and personal life, and he apparently made a production company with charlie. That’s all kinds of triangulation that I dont even want to get started on, and there’s two reasons to get involved with family and thats either 1. You want to help THEM, or 2. they’re in your ear convincing you. It is never a good idea to mix family with work, ever. He doesn’t make good decisions, but I do feel that that’s also because he trusts the people in his ear too much, and they have become like a family to him. That’s hard to let go of. Its really difficult. I don’t know anyone who has an easy time breaking it off with a long time friend or family member, I know i’ve found it near impossible. But I think he’s very heavily influenced by these close connections because he doesn’t want to lose them. I understand that getting involved in the drama is fun, and I’ve been there for sure up until even two ays ago i was still there, but now that I understand that what he’s going through is also tough, i’ve also realised that I need to have more empathy for the guy outside of readings too. It’s not nice to be in the place that he is. Ive been there I get what kind of person it turns you into. And it’s a huge turning point in your life aswell, you either let it consume you or you do your best to break free. He’s at a crossroads, i’ve said it before. Lets hope he goes down the path that’s best for him. All in all, I think people have a right to be upset, they’ve invested alot of time into the guy and got nothing back. I also think with that post yesterday that he’s actually trying his best. I don’t think its easy for him to self reflect, he’s not going to apologise for NV, she is his companion for now, he’s got some serious issues surrounding being loved/lonely, he’s not going to do anything to make her leave until he’s ok with finding someone else, which i feel like he’s kind of given up on at the moment? But he’s also still trying to juggle all these things in his life and his own mental health and the constant judgement doesn’t make that better. When people are loved and supported they’re the best version of themselves, right now he’s not being loved or supported. In fact he’s being hated by thousands of people, that’s going to take a toll on you. But to me, idk what it is, but it feels like he’s trying to mend things to be the best of his ability. (And his ability is still pretty poor in execution, and to be fair him talking about fucking protien shakes is more boring than paint drying and he should absolutely be dragged for that 😆 ) But it feels like a positive move. The level that the dragging is being taken is starting to turn into something else, but this is also how people express themselves. You can be apart of it or not, the pages that allow it are a good venting system, and fans deserve to have that, but there aren’t many places for it to also just be understanding, so that’s what this page will be instead. (But once again, understanding isn’t creating excuses, and I won’t create excuses for him. He is still held accountable, but without the drag) Even with this all being said, he still needs to do better. I like to write about a lot of things, but one of the main themes that comes up really often in my writing is friendship and found family (I think loving that trope so much is part of what draws me to kpop, there are so many kpop groups where the members treat each other like family). I have kind of a mix of original fiction and fanfic - I prefer to write AUs when I do fanfic though because I like to do worldbuilding and come up with backstory and stuff 😁

Kpop does seem to have an extra element of "connection" to the artist, I've definitely noticed that - it's similar to boy bands like One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer or even the Beatles, though I think with the influence of the internet, the amount that it's possible for groups to interact with fans has increased a lot (being able to open up a VLive and chat and have people around the world able to tune in is wild, if you think about it) and I guess entertainment companies realize that you get a lot more money if fans are emotionally invested on levels besides just the music. It does seem like kpop artists do a lot more extra stuff (variety shows, etc)... I feel like there are probably more factors that I don't know about but I'd be interested to learn more!

Ah yeah I feel you on the awkwardness thing 😂 for me I think I would most like to hang out with Youngbin, Zuho, and Taeyang (I would love to hang out with any of the members honestly but I think those are my top 3)

For favorite friendships/pairs... I think I still need to learn more about them before I can say anything definitive, but some of the moments I've seen with Inseong & Dawon and Chani & Youngbin have been really great so I'm gonna go with those! And I think it would be really cool to have a track with Rowoon, Taeyang, Jaeyoon, and Zuho - their voices are all so cool and I'd love to hear more of them! Dawon and Taeyang together would also be awesome ☺️

The member in the emoji game example is Zuho, right? I read that he has a corn allergy, which really stuck in my memory because I also can't eat corn (it gives me horrible stomachaches)! Also, speaking of emojis: do you know why the SF9 members have the representative emojis they do? Some of them make sense to me, but for others I can't think of why they would choose those ones (like Inseong's, Youngbin's, Dawon's, and Hwiyoung's). Is there an explanation of them anywhere?

friendship and found family are always nice to read about, i do think found family is one of the best tropes out there 😆 and omg yeah a lot of kpop groups are like a little found family 🥺🥺 im a sucker for it 😂😂

when i think about it i suppose it could also apply to other celebrities as well, what with gossip columns and tabloids and stuff like that. they are celebrities bc people are interested in them and inevitably some are interested in them more personally as well. and yeah i think the internet definitely plays a big part in all of it. now you have access to your faves with just the click of a button and you get updates from them just as easily as it is to chat with your friends it's cool but also you can see how people take it for granted and start feeling entitled to getting frequent updates and interactions with their faves. (not that im totally innocent, if dawon doesn't post for a week i lose my mind skgsksh)

i think another thing that influences it is that there is always new stuff going on so in order to make sure fans don't drift or get caught up in other things, they have to make sure there's a connection that keeps them loyal (and also why they have to put out so much content constantly.)

companies are all about money so im not surprised they've capitalized off the connections people make. I definitely feel like it's more evident in kpop (but again I've only really only stanned kpop so maybe it's evident other places as well) like the whole creating a fandom name and celebrating days together and whatnot,, there's probably more but im kinda just rambling at this point so i will stop there 😂

is there anything specifically you'd want to do with them? i really want to go out to eat with them 😂😂

omg that would be such a good subunit 🤩 rowoon taeyang and jaeyoons voices would go together sooo well and i love how zuhos able to produce tracks that really suit the members' styles. i think whatever they make would be a masterpiece 😍
