Hello everyone!! How are you today???

Here you have a set of poses I made for one of my stories that i turned into a "couple" posepack for you all 'cause there are kisses, hugs and a little ring or bracelet gift.

There are two solo poses to start the pack 'cause in my story she is looking the view while he looks at her from the distance, and then he gets closer and after a little while, they start to talk.

This pack is a little tricky and some of the poses have more than 1 option. The reason is that when I was making the poses I knew i wanted the male sim to give a gift to her girlfriend but I was unsure on what gift he was giving to her 'cause the girl has Heterochromia... and we all know how difficult it is to use rings or bracelets with heterochromia eyes...

The thing is, at first, the gift was going to be a bracelet but I wasn't sure if I was going to use a bracelet on the left wrist or the right wirst so I made a version for both options and doing both options warranted pose #5 having two options: one option where the male sim asked the female sim for the left arm and one option where the male sim asked the female sim for the right arm. Yeah, I know I could simplify it with a pose where it wasn't specified which arm the interaction was directed at, but I like having options and being specific haha and I wanted the female sim to be hesitant on giving him her hand.

And then, when i was testing the bracelet accessory i wanted to use, none option was working with the eyes, because they both conflicted with them so... instead of using a bracelet, i decided to use a ring...

The ring was for the middle finger and I ended up using that third option for my story, but after i made that opcion i said to myself: maybe someone wants to use this posepack to make kind of a "proposal" pic.... so, I decided to made a forth version of pose #6 with the ring on the ring finger. So, there are 4 different options in pose #6 for you to choose between giving a bracelet for left hand or right hand, or giving a ring for middle finger or ring finger of left hand.

And all those options lead to a pose #7 with 3 different options for the girl to "see" the gift the male sim has given her. So, in Version A, she is looking at the left bracelet while he is looking at her in silence; in Version B, she is looking at the right bracelet while he looks at her, talking; and Version C is her looking at her left hand fingers while he talk to her kind of apologizing or ashamed.

And the pack concludes with a kiss, a hug and a couple of poses with the guy handing his hand to her, kind of a new and different version of my handing pose from "conversation_poses_05" I know a lot of people use. This time with both sims standing.

hey, i’d like some advice if you have any. i’d REALLY like to go on T… i look at folks on T and i’m just… enamored with their bodies. i look at tbears and i want to live within them. i spend a LOT of time looking at bottom growth pics. i love a lot of things about my body, but… having a small clitoris… lacking chest & tummy hair… i look at people who’ve made the leap and it aches, not to look like them. that’s the only way to describe it: a deep, howling ache. i love my breasts and my curves and sometimes i really love being a girl and a dyke but i know that i need these changes. i really need them.

but i love my voice. only occasionally it seems abrasively high or nasal… but i really, really love my voice. at some point recently i started to sing again after a long, long time of shaming myself out of it, and i had forgotten that my voice is beautiful. and it’s me. i love my voice. i’m not averse to the idea of sounding deeper… but it’ll come at the cost of losing my upper range. i’ll NEVER be able to sound like that again. i’ll try to go high and it’ll feel like my voice is being replaced. i don’t know if i’ll really hate it when my voice changes… but i’m scared. i think i’ll probably like how i’ll sound, but what if it doesn’t feel like me? is there any way to prepare myself? what if there’s just no way for me to live with both a body and voice of my own?

this is a lot of heavy stuff. my best idea at the moment is to talk to a doctor about all this, hope they have some suggestions, and try to get compounded testosterone cream, since that can supposedly help prioritize bottom growth over other changes. but i’m really scared and lonely about this. i don’t know anyone else who grew up a girl and wants to be a girl on T… i only know two trans people. i know very few people in general. and i’m too scared to try and talk to anyone about all of these feelings. the way you talk about this stuff is always so full of love, in a way that makes love feel possible, so if there’s anything you can say to help guide me or validate me here, i would really appreciate it. this is really difficult for me to talk about.

I totally understand where you are coming from; the very nature of medical transition is based on possibilities and uncertainties.

I think the thing we tend to do is assume that these changes will happen almost instantly. However, the vocal changes are very gradual, at least in my experience.

I'll remind everyone that I am not a medical expert, and my thoughts come from personal experience and observation and listening to fellow people on testosterone.

I'll list some highlights of my experience to illustrate this and include a chart of my voice drop:

The first voice-related change was actually soreness when I spoke, but not really a true drop

I had many voice cracks, and they were sometimes painful

The changes started gradually from month one or two to around the year mark give or take

My initial dose: 0.25mg IM/weekly

My current: 0.35mg IM/weekly

If you choose a testosterone regimen, I would suggest considering micro dosing. That way, you have a bit more control over how gradual the changes are. The testosterone will still change your endocrine system, but it won't be as sudden as it would be with a "typical" dose. My testosterone reached a typical perisex man's at approximately month six with my dosage, and by then, I had many changes begin to mature (such as bottom growth, the beginning of new hair growth, and my voice beginning to mature with more finality).

I honestly don't know how I really prepared myself for the changes I wasn't too sure about... I mostly came at it with a sense of desperation, and so I get where you are coming from. I truly hope you can get a medical team which will give you some options that best fit you. If you have any other questions or want me to expand, I am happy to do so, because I do genuinely want to show support. You're going to find something that works, I think. I have so much hope and faith in you, and I wish you only the best on this journey.

Anyway I've been here for six days now (basically a naturalised citizen) so here is what I have to say about China

Shit is CHEAP. Worryingly cheap. Don't think about it too much.

Their hourly minimum wage is the equiv of about $5AUD but that's reasonably proportionate to how much a meal is. Rent seems a bit more difficult though so I don't know how people manage that (cheap as dirt places go for 4000yuan a month or so)

People are REALLY nice, even security guards and cops and other people you'd assume would kind of give you a hard time. They'll have a laugh with you about stuff.

The country kind of feels like it's encased in a giant metaphorical glass dome - everything functions using their own special apps, special ways of doing things, etc etc. Breaking into it is difficult, but once you're "in", so to speak, it's very easy.

Public spaces including trains and buses are a bit of an "every man for himself" vibe. People will play their phone videos out loud and no one even gives a shit. Once a security guard on shift was just sitting there playing his 抖音 videos out loud with little concern for anything or anyone. It's not mayhem, but it's certainly no polite affair.

Your phone loses battery very quickly and unless you're just going for a walk it's impossible to leave home without it as any purchase is via WeChat, Alipay et al. Many times I had considered going for a phone free outing before realising it just couldn't be done.

China is beautiful and just about every place has something to offer. There are streets that are clearly just a result of a LOT of urban development being done very quickly but in terms of actual sites, it's hard to find a city that doesn't have something incredible in it.

Their coffee is top notch. Seriously approaching Melbourne level. I'm flabbergasted and slightly concerned because frankly Australia is bullied by China on the daily and our coffee is the only thing I knew for certain we had over them. Now I don't know what the fuck we're meant to do

Trains tend to be in English, even if it's not particularly big with foreigners, though I haven't gone to any suuuuper remote locations so I don't know about those. They're very well maintained; they're more or less indistinguishable from those in Japan, Korea etc.

Bikes and motorbikes don't have to follow traffic lights which will make you shit yourself the first couple times they ride right past you as you cross the road.

There is not as much propaganda around as I was expecting. My uni has a big statue of Mao but as it happens that's just cuz he has a history with this particular university. I haven't seen any pictures of Mao anywhere else that's not, like, a dedicated Spot for that sort of thing (think Tiananmen square etc). I saw one pic of Xi in a museum. Most propaganda is just asking people to become soldiers and cops and stuff. I was expecting it to be like Vietnam or something but it's basically non-existent.

No the social credit memes are not true unless everyone else can see mine and is just not telling me

People love taking photos of themselves but selfies are not too popular, so dedicated individuals will bring whole stands with lights and shit like that, as though they were dedicated cosplayers. Yesterday we saw a middle aged woman doing a sort of VR anime idol stream (I can't remember what they're called but the one where your face is overlayed with an anime avatar) in the middle of the bridge haha

^ and people will take these sorts of photos in front of ANYTHING. Even if it's... Slightly inappropriate by some standards. It's kind of funny.

People are generally quite chill and don't take themselves too seriously

Yoonmin Run Ep Project: Week 3 Pt 2

Week 3 Pt 1

Although both Next Top Genius episodes were fun and included yoonmin moments, part 2 is where things really get interesting.

The theme of lying continues, and the members start out playing a dice game. What stood out to me here is the way Yoongi focuses on Jimin and how he’s doing in the game.

The final game of the day is the rock-paper-scissors card game. Tae and Jimin are the final two, and the other guys are their teammates. However, the tricky part is that they don’t know who is on their team and who is on the opposing team, making it difficult to know who to believe.

Yoongi pretends to be on Jimin’s team (spoiler alert: he’s not). Jimin is immediately suspicious…and amused. This begins the “Yoongi has his hands on Jimin” portion of the episode.

It continues, even when met with a little resistance. 😉 At one point, Hobi comes over. He gets very excited and is close to Jimin. Note Yoongi’s hands during this time:

Yoongi could have moved his right hand out of the way. He could have taken a step back, but he remains close to Jimin. I absolutely do NOT think this is a possessive/jealous thing. It’s just instinct.

Later, Jimin finds out that Yoongi was actually on Tae’s team, not his. He points at him accusingly, and Yoongi explains that he didn’t actually lie to Jimin, he just told him he was doing well. So…what was Yoongi’s goal in the game then? An interesting exchange.

I also found it interesting that Jk then makes a similar remark to Tae:

Anyway, Jimin is the big winner and he receives flowers and a trophy.

Jimin pretends to cry, and everyone laughs. Note Yoongi’s cute smile and gesture as he begins to lift his arm toward Jimin. He then stops his gesture and crosses his arms.

This was a really fun episode! I loved Hobi’s antics, like when he was trying to help Jimin but realized that he didn’t have Tae’s cards memorized. He’s such a cutie!

In terms of body language and just being so aware of what the other was doing amidst the chaos, yoonmin really stood out in the second half of this episode. A must-watch if you consider yourself a yoonminer!

Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 Pt 1, Schedule/Details

Tbh what i think is if you think being a fan of an artist is not fun anymore SOLEY because of his other fans, you never really loved that artist to begin with. Yes it's a Fandom, there are 1000 different types of people but that doesn't mean we should know what 999 type of people has to say or do.

For eg : Being JM stan is one of the difficult thing in fandom. He's the member who's ALWAYS attacked by his own fandom, kpoppies and western stans. He's the one who's ALWAYS belittled for his achievements and skills. He's the member who's reporting page is filled with antis every hour. He's the member who's least active on sm. Guess what ? None of it made me feel like being his fan is not fun anymore. If anything I love him and find everything about him entertaining each day passing by.

I literally don't care what those 999 of his antis and haters and so called fans has to say about him. This is a relationship between only him and me. No third parties involved on quantity of enjoyment it gives me lol. Yes i made few friends here, I follow some of his fan accounts who I feel extremely comfortable in. But that doesn't mean it's them controlling how I love him and his contents. If one of them deactivate tomorrow, ofcourse I'll miss them but it's goodbye anyway because when I came to this Fandom none of these stan accounts nor stans were the guarantee or reason for me to love him. It was just Park Jimin. As of now, 5 years into fandom, I've never felt any platforms I'm so active in tiring (as I curate tl accordingly). If it becomes I will just either log out or won't read others opinions.. because at the end of the those robots will go away once I switch off my device lol. After all nothing these accounts say about him affect my real life anyway. After I scroll through sm, I go with my day as usual just jamming to music and maybe scrolling through some JM pics lol. There's irl family, friends, chores and activities for me to engane with.

This love will only go away IF I personally lost that connection with him (without influence of anything else).. you know maybe it's because of time going on or life getting in middle or even my interest or taste changes and Park Jimin no more gives me butterflies lol. I hope that day never comes 🤞 till then I'm gonna be on Jimin land without care of anything else. It's just between him and me.

Happy WiP Wednesday on a Thursday

in this edition: injury update, travel update, and new projects 💖

as you may remember, i did hurt myself for realsies knitting in the round on too-small DPNs, and have had to take it really REALLY slow since then, including many days off. i went to the doctor, because things have not been improving (like i had to reconcile the petty cash at work before i left, and gripping the bills to count them was legitimately difficult 🙃), and she said we better test me for rheumatoid arthritis because i am getting to be that age! so we will see what happens. as my friend karla says, i am already a walking inflammation, so. i would prefer to not have more. but also i'm pretty sure i don't have it, because that would involve me having something diagnosable.

anyway in the meantime i'm taking lots of breaks, soaking my hands in warm water, and doing lots of stretches. i started two different projects in the round on circular needles, but that's been extremely slow going. since i'm the world's slowest knitter, i don't do big projects. but that means i'm working pretty small diameters, and the needles are too long to work comfortably, and it puts strain on my grip. not sure how to describe it properly. even when working with a properly sized cable, it ends up feeling stretched too tight, especially when purling—somewhat like this (pic from sheepandstitch dot com):

also, on one of them, the yarn is SO slippery and SO prone to splitting and also i made SUCH a dumb mistake that i frogged the whole thing. but let's not worry about that.

IN THE MEANTIME, i am in the great american middle west for like a week and a half to take care of my brother. it turns out my dad lives in one of the "cool" neighborhoods of the city (aka the school district is not very good, so everyone else moving in is young gay couples). his neighbor who is a trump supporter is moving out, because the neighborhood is getting too "woke" for her (aka people have put up pride flags and BLM signs).

here's the project i brought with me for my downtime (not that i'm going to have any):

and here's the ravelry link. i'm using Lang Regina yarn on US 5 square needles (bought one set of these square needles in a relatively small size to see if they help me at all—stay tuned).

this ended up being the perfect project for me right now! it's worked flat, so i'm not dealing with the wrist strain of circs as discussed above. it's tiny (i'm doing 37 st across) and a suuuuuper simple lace pattern that works up quick, so even i (the world's slowest knitter, as previously stated) feel like i'm making progress after only a few minutes. the pattern is a 4-row repeat that's easy to memorize, and after you've done about 3 repeats, it is immediately obvious where in the pattern you are just by lookin, which makes it perfect for travel, as you can pick it up and put it down at a moment's notice. i've also been experimenting with frequent swapping between english style and continental style, so that i'm not straining one set of muscles the entire time, and this pattern turns out to be great for that. the right side has all the increases and decreases, all of which are worked knit-wise, which i'm finding easier to do english-style. and the wrong side has all the quick switches between knit and purl (eg k3, p1, k1, p2, etc), which is much faster to work continental-style.

i think it's pretty likely that i'll end up with second-mitt syndrome, but hopefully it'll be a quick enough knit that i can power through.

also working on:

-remembering how to drive (i will GET there please do not honk at me for the next two days THANKS) -cooking every day (😭) since my brother can't really cook much -the to-do list my dad left me, which is. extensive. and includes things like "plant half of the potatoes in the dish on the counter and save the other half until i get back because there's debate about the best time to plant in this area so i want to test it out. make sure you pick the sproutiest ones to plant and leave the others so they have time to get sprouty before we plant them." -my actual job (a little)

Just wondered why do you limit your art of 2 people to fandom only?I was just curious, what makes ocs more difficult to draw than fandom characters? Is it because some people expect character design? No shame of course <3 I just wondered what the reasoning around limiting ocs and not fandom characters was.

Note: this isn’t aimed at anyone in particular before someone starts throwing hands

I used to have an old rules letting two OCs / one OC with canon character together for request but uhm after doing that I got the same repetitive requesters asking more and more (draw my oc with) and (draw my oc with and doing this) of their ocs and it rubbed me off the wrong way and it makes me uncomfortable yknow? with the original character’s refs are also limited , plus I don’t even know the oc’s personally so poses are really hard to figure out how to draw.

For boundaries reason, that is why I make a new set of rules having one OC per request :) if anyone wants two characters in one pic then I prefer it to be art trade because having something in return boost my motivation (but im closing that for now too)

Drawing two characters took me like 3 in a half hour including small break between with color + rendering. And yes nonnie you got the answer’s right! For fandom characters, it’s easier to find more references and I can learn that canon character’s in the wiki so pose is easier to choose. If it’s a character that I’m familiar with it’ll be much more faster lol.

Have ya thought about using a fc instead of the same damn pic each time? It's kinda annoying

(I don't have much control over dealing with technical limitations. Faceclaims come with their own annoying baggage.)

(Rant incoming... since you have no idea how many times, I've been asked these questions over the years)

(Like, even if I could find someone that look perfect for the part, getting and building a reaction image set isn't particularly easy. You have to not only find as many images as possible, but also clip every single icon into neat little 100x100 squares and well... that's even if you can find anything at all.)

(Frame extraction helps, but now you have to download a copy of that episodes they're in, brute force the extraction of every single frame from the source media, then you have to sift through all of those frames...)

(Same goes for a manga ass well... lots and lots of clicking, waiting, sorting, and trimming.)

(And that's if I get lucky and the face claim I found has any useable media to build from. Most of the time, the choices don't fit for what I am looking for.)

(So, I resort to using AI or other tools to create prototype references. However, those are just as fiddly and time consuming... despite what you'd think. If it was a canon character, it wouldn't be too difficult as the tools are usually decent on staying on the road, but it turns into a total chaotic mess once you start getting creative.)

(For all the constant tweaking, poking, and prodding, I usually only get lucky and maybe have like one or two viable images that actually are even legible, let alone fits what I was looking for.)

(I'd keep ranting like this, but that isn't even including the usual roleplay politics that have been swirling around here for as long as I can remember.)

(You could spend months putting together an icon set and then everyone just kicks you to the curb because of some overhyped nutjob sees a post you made 7 years ago and throws a nuclear fit over the subtle use of purple.)

(And don't get me started on the "no canon face claims" debacle from ten years ago.)

(Picking out face claims, building prototypes, or any kind of visual reference isn't something you just do. It's going to be a creative process and it's never going to be that simple.)

(Also, I'd add... yes, I have, but Murder Drones is a face claim unfriendly verse, the character makers I've found so far are pretty terrible, and the tools needed to get the AI to even try to get the right look is extremely fiddly and not very well made.)

(Most of the renders are missing eyes, have extra limbs and physical features, or just looks like she's melting... and it really doesn't know what to do about facial expressions.)

(Besides, people are going to complain regardless of what measure I take, so why should I care?)

(And no, I can't just go and pay someone to draw them for me. Neither can I afford such a thing, but even if I could without any penalties and didn't have to risk ending up on the street for it or worse, I don't feel comfortable with doing so without knowing exactly what I want in the end.)

the department is slow today. the usual hustle and bustle had calmed down immensely, sounds of typing and idle chatter taking over. your mug is sat to the left, empty as you squint at the computer screen in front of you. nines had been assigned the desk in front of yours — a blessing for quick cases, but a curse when he decided to ignore his tasks and simply stare at you.

as he was doing right now. blue eyes watch you as his led light slowly swirls yellow, head tilting as you blantantly ignore him. “want a refill?”

you hum, glancing at your stained mug before finding his gaze. you smile his way, “sure, if you don’t mind. i’m almost done here, though.”

without another word, nines makes his way to the breakroom to refill your mug with a steaming beverage. he hums at the steam, wondering if it was too hot for you to drink. he brings the cup to his mouth without thinking, the scalding liquid hitting his lips.

as he pulls it away — he’ll let it cool off a little longer, he decides — his lips feel sticky. a tingling sensation takes over, cooling and poking his lips at once. they taste sweet — minty — and it makes nines think.

is that how you tasted?

it had to be the lip gloss he’d always seen you applying. nines takes the mug back to you, loitering beside your desk as you look up at him. you grin again, ”thanks for the drink! you really didn’t ha—”

his lips are pressed against yours within the next second. pressing closer — harder — nines lets out a sigh as he finally releases you from his hold. he licks his lips, smacking them a bit as your gloss sticks to them.

“tingles.” is all he says before sitting across from you and continuing to stare. you blink, startled at his sudden and intense movements.

this changes things, you think. you’re unable to get back to work ; unable to meet nines’ eyes now that you’ve felt his skin against your own. you take a sip of your drink — this changes a lot of things.

daesu had invited to you meet up with the group ; a new store had opened and everyone needed a break from their studies. namra met up with you so you could both walk to meet your friends, arms linked together as you talked about how difficult your last test was and how drained you were.

onjo squealed when she caught sight of you both, her and isak running to collide with you. you dispersed in a pile of giggles only to be pulled into a hug by daesu, who loudly and joyfully greeted you.

gyeongsu nudges you with a laugh as you pass through an art supply store, teasing you about the abundance of pens you always brings to class. this argument always happened but you always replied with the same thing — “need a different color for each subject!”

this, of course, applied to highlighters as well.

“hey,” a shy shoulder budges against yours. the clothing store you’re looking at now isn’t that interesting to you and the distraction is welcomed. wujin’s half-smile greets you, “glad you could make it.”

you let out a sigh, “needed a break from school so badly. how was your test? did you do okay?”

wujin shrugged. his mind was on other things ; eyes sticking to the new lip tint you’d put on. it was a darker color than usual, a cranberry and wine color that he couldn’t look away from. clearing his throat, wujin says, “that’s new. your— lip color.”

you perk up immediately, animatedly talking about the sale you stumbled upon and the new scents of hand lotion you grabbed. and that was interesting — wujin hung off of your every word — but he couldn’t look away from your lips.

your lips and their wine stained smile that he imagines pressing against his neck. would the color stick to his skin? would it mark him as yours ; and you as his?

GYEONGSU ♥︎

letting out another whine, gyeongsu flops back onto his carpeted floor. studying was hard ; it was tiring and boring and mentally exhausting. sighing, he goes to sit up and get back to it when the doorbell rings.

lo and behold, his savior. you’re standing in the doorway with a grin and your school bag, takeout bags looped around your wrists. you’re talking to gyeongsu’s mom ; giggling at her words and nodding along to what she says.

you look so comfortable at his house, so natural there that it almost hurts. his mom is in her nursing uniform, scrubs making their weird noise as she moves around. wordlessly, you hand her one of the takeout bags before setting the other one on the living room table. you’d been friends since you were young — had visited his house numerous times before — but, time and time again, gyeongsu thought about how well you fit in with them.

how well you could fit with him.

“hi, ‘su!” you grin his way and his heart aches. the boy melts where he stands, smile ghosting on his face immediately at the sight of you. he walks your way, both arms looping around one of yours with a sigh as he pulls you to sit on the floor beside him. “all good?’

he whines again, “brain hurts.”

“yeah i thought you might have some trouble,” you speak as you pull out your food. sighing, you smile his way timidly, pushing the food his way. “so, i retook the notes in a way i thought you’d understand.”

gyeogsu stares as you begin to dig in. his eyes are heart-shaped — they have to be. he softens entirely as he watches you.

ARISU ♥︎

the walk back from a game was always serene in the most devastating way. the beach wasn’t as safe as he’d originally thought — wasn’t as friendly and kind as the name suggested. but, arisu needed company and needed to understand what was happening and why he was sucked into the borderlands.

one good thing about the beach was you. you’d been ‘teamed up’ with usagi since you popped into the games, your wit and her athleticism saving you both more often than it let you down. one smile at arisu and— oh, he was a goner.

you’d met at the tag game and he’d stuck to you since. you always tried your best to be paired up with him, knowing what the loss of a friend could feel like ; what dark roads it could lead your mind to.

and he appreciated it so much — appreciated the way you took care of him and looked after him in the gentlest and most subtle of ways. with a sigh, arisu gave the two of hearts card to hatter, no closer to the end of the game than they’d been beforehand.

dried blood itched on his face ; stained his hands and coated his skin in a lingering scent he could never get rid of. a hand was latched onto his own, pulling and tugging him gently to a bathroom.

“come back to me,” a voice whispered. arisu always disappeared into his head after a game, screams and surrendering laughter haunting his mind. “come on, ‘su. come back.”

with a foggy blink, you came into view. you held a warm rag to his face, washing the blood off of his skin tenderly with a smile that made him melt. arisu slouched, relaxing forward into your open arms. “[name].”

“hi, ‘su.” you brushed your fingers through his greasy hair. “welcome back. i’m glad you’re alive.”

arisu snuggled further into you, arms winding around your waist as he thought. it was so easy to get lost in you ; too easy to think of you both getting out of the borderlands and settling down together and staying together.

he wish you knew, but he couldn’t be the one to tell you. not yet ; not with blood still dried on his hands.

you’d been separated. you’d clung to chishiya since you arrived at the beach and now you were apart. worry and panic induced pacing caught kuina’s sight as you mindlessly picked at your skin. 

she slung a backpack around her shoulders, looking at arisu and usagi as she spoke. “i’m off to find chishiya and ann.” she turns to you again, noticing the way you perked up at his name. “want to join me, [name]?” 

you didn’t have to think before you were grabbing your own supplies and leaving with a hug to arisu and usagi. a promise to come back — to see them alive — and you were on your way. 

then you were alone. 

kuina had let go of you while you ran from the king of spades [again], and you’d found yourself lost. a blimp for the jack of hearts had just exploded a few feet in front of you. 

lost in thought, you watched it tirelessly. and then a familiar voice. “[name]?”

you blink, coming back to reality as he walks up to you. 

“chishiya,” you sigh out before running to meet him. without thinking, you throw your arms around his neck and pull him close. you let out a breath, closing your eyes and savoring his warmth. he was safe — alive. you go to pull away, “sorry. i got a little excited.” 

chishiya grabs your right wrist, pulling it back around his neck as your left one is guided to wrap around his waist. he sinks into you, letting out his own sigh of relief as he relaxes. 

“s’okay. need this — need you.” it’s out of character for the blond to be so loving ; so touch-starved as he clings onto you and makes your hold tighter. it wasn’t nice being alone in the games, not even to someone like chishiya. a feather-light touch hits the tip of your cheekbone. “you tell anyone about this, and i’ll kill you.” 

the threat makes you laugh into his shoulder — even though you know he isn’t joking.

Can we talk about Weiss in V8 chapter 13? Can we talk about how amazing she was in that episode despite all the batshit crazy insane shit happening around? Like it starts out with a full on Team RWBY Vs Cinder battle royale.

Weiss is literally never still even for a second here. She's clearly learned from Volume 5 that staying still in battle for a fighter with her attack type is a bad decision so she's constantly moving over here appearing on all sides in a matter of seconds while keeping the movements of her teammates in mind as well.

She's literally mid fight here half through zooming across the battlefield after an attack and she's already setting up a glyph to boost Blake up so she can attack Cinder keeping the momentum of the fight going in the split second she needs to move across.

Weiss's fighting style often leans to support and a series of attacks rather than one heavy blow. And support is probably the most complicated role to play in a fight.

It's all about insane mid battle calculation. She has to keep track of her team's movements to perfectly time her glyphs (also deciding what type of glyph based how her teammates are moving and their surroundings) and HOW EXHAUSTING IS THAT??? Because she not only has to keep track of the opponent's movement but she's also keeping her eye on three other people who are in continuing motion looking for any gap she can offer support in??? While constantly moving on the field and launching her own attacks in tandem with the others???

The minute Ruby is falling back Weiss is already pelting ice picks at Cinder. And okay mad props to Cinder because this entire attack sequences from RWBY was hardcore and Cinder managed to dodge it all. And back to Weiss.

So we have this insane battle where everyone is mentally exhausted and then we have Neo attacking Ruby and Yang falling into the void. And I've seen a lot of people shitting on how Ruby and Weiss didn't react fast enough and let me just say they acted exactly how you'd expect them too.

I don't have the pic here cause Tumblr has a limit but if you remember the split screen showing Ruby,Weiss, Blake and Neo we can all see Blake already starts moving. Ruby starts getting attacked by a feral Neo a second later and has no time to even process any event(a running theme this volume Rubes your breakdown is coming).

Now here Weiss starts moving a literal second later. And now remember this is Weiss, master of mid fight distance calculation.

The minute Weiss turned and saw Blake she knew. She knew that judging from how fast Yang fell of the ledge and how fast Blake moved the only person who had a sliver of a chance of saving Yang was Blake. She knew she would be a second late if she tried. She knew that summoning a glyph in the event of Blake missing would be no use because she's done the math in that heated second of fear and anguish and knows that she will be too late.

Which is why Weiss Schnee master of logic and cool headedness in the battle field and emotional wellbeing off the battlefield knew what would happen a second later. She knows Yang. Weiss was the first person we've ever seen Yang be vulnerable around. And I bet the reason Weiss was so sure Blake would find her way back to them is because Weiss and Blake are alot more similar than you think. So Weiss knows. She knows the Blake Belladona would not hesitate for a second to jump into the literal unknown for Yang.

She would too. But they're in the middle of battle and Ruby is being attacked and thousands of Atlas and Mantle citizens are in the middle of a space that shouldn't exist and she knows despite how she wants too she cannot jump. And she cannot let Blake jump either because she cannot and will not lose another member of her family today. And she immediately pulls Blake literally dragging her from the surface(and this is no easy feat because we know how crazy swol Blake is and adding that with mad grief Blake is basically the strongest most impulsive person in that space right now) and you can see from that single frame that Weiss herself is so close to tears but she has to hold it together for Blake. For Yang. For Ruby.

And once Blake takes off in a rage she knows that Cinder is left with no one to fight her. And Weiss (who is probably a little traumatised after having been stabbed and almost dying because of her) she immediately faces Cinder and Weiss is frantically dodging because remember Cinder was able to take on all four of them with barely a scratch and now Weiss is facing her alone.

And I also love this because it seems like Weiss is just zig zagging her way in a frenzy but she's trying to make herself really difficult to target here. You know how they say to run zig zag when your being chased by an animal right? That's what she's doing here. She's stays in a position for just enough time for Cinder to shoot her fire and then immediately takes off in a tangent making cinder have to spend a split second trying to reorient her attack cause all her attacks shoot in a straight direction.

I included this picture because she looks so fucking cool here. She literally fights fire with FIRE and I love her stance and pose and if you've actually read this far you can kinda guess I love everything about her.

And now we see her skating up. Because she knows the advantage and how being in a higher position can help. She needs to get to higher ground. And I'd like to highlight that Weiss only takes this pathway cause at that moment it is completely empty. She assumed that people had already finished evacuating from there which is why she chose that place. But it turned out that particular door was one for Atlas and Atleasians were alot more hesitant to use the gates than people from Mantle which is why there are people still there(this might also have been a convenient plot narrative to make Jaune aware that Cinder was here, who knows we shall see)

She uses her gravity glyph to try and hinder the airborne higher ground advantage that Cinder has. And it works. Cinder is momentarily focussed on Weiss allowing Penny to regain her stance and figure out her weapon situation.

And then an Atleasian steps out and Weiss realises in a matter of milliseconds that shit she has to protect them.

And if you notice Cinder is imitating Weiss's attack here. Weiss attacked Cinder with the same Ice pick move 5 minutes ago. And Weiss has to protect herself and the now emerging Atlas citizens. And I love how it's shown that she doesn't have the time to fully summon her Knight so only summons the arm and blade and protects everyone from actually getting hurt. Also I don't know if this the first time we've seen the summoning glyph for the knight in this angle but it is absolutely gorgeous and I really want to see what the Nevermore one looks like.

And I ran out pictures but Cinder literally tosses Weiss over the edge and the only thing stopping Weiss from certain fall in the void is her own gravity glyph which she is maintaining after all of the stuff I mentioned before.

I mean we know that Weiss has the lowest stamina of the team and the role that takes up the most energy. And she's still standing and she still going to fight in the next episode.

I just-- GODS Weiss Schnee is an absolute legend and possibly the best ally to have on the battlefield. She's is a super skilled ,level headed and versatile fighter whose constant presence and observations in the battlefield are such an asset and I wouldn't be far off in saying that she's probably the smartest fighter after Ruby and there's a reason they're partners because for every wacky absolute bonkers plan Ruby has, Weiss will be there to build the foundation to launch off from. And I cannot wait to see her learn and grow even more.
