Y’know actually since so many of the characters don’t necessarily know what the flags mean or even what their respective orientation labels mean, it has me thinking about how they’d describe their sexualities.

I can see Husk going into how the gender doesn’t matter to him as much as the person’s heart does. Val is just like “a hole is a hole.” That’s all I’ve come up with so far.

I think gay/homosexual/lesbian would at least be known well enough by the characters so I think angel dust and vaggie are good with describing themselves (and either way, probably pretty easy for them to just say they're not into women/men respectively). I like to think charlie is somewhat caught up with modern labels so she'd still call herself bi. hard to really get a read on cherri and pentious, but it'd probably be easy for them to just mention attraction to multiple genders. guys hot. gals hot. non-binary pals hot.

alastor, we KNOW the motherfucker doesn't know shit and rosie's decided to be a troll and not explain what aroace is to him, he probably just thinks he hasn't found anyone yet, doesn't see it as a priority, doesn't usually think about it and thinks everyone else is weird for thinking about it. now husk and pansexuality, probably less known, I can definitely see him just describing it as you said.

val though um. no he definitely knows to describe himself as pansexual I'm sure velvette sat him and vox down for a 3h presentation about modern labels and slang when she arrived. but very possible he did describe it in some fuckass way like you said beforehand or when velvette was trying to help them figure out their labels. I still find this concept very funny btw imagine having to explain all this shit about modern labels to 2 people literally older than boomers. oh yeah and

Maverick has good intentions but I wouldn’t trust him with his own drink Ice doesn’t either, he watches his drink

Iceman is a definitive yes, he would get the job done, he just stands there looking cool and people know better than to mess with a drink he’s holding

Goose moves too much, he would try to concentrate on it but he would get distracted easily, he’s very likely to leave it somewhere and then forget about it, he’s a 50/50

Slider cannot be trusted with a drink, not because he would be careless with it but because mother fucker would accidentally intentionally drink it

Hollywood is a yes, he wouldn’t make a big deal out of it, he’ll protect your drink

Wolfman should not be trusted with a drink, he will spill it, he also moves a lot, he uses his hands a lot, so if he has a drink in both his hands then sorry, one of them is going down

Charlie is a yes, 100%, my girl knows the drill

Carole is a 50/50, depends on how drunk she is, if she’s sober then yes, if she’s a little drunk then no, she would also spill it or accidentally but for real drink it

Sundown is a no, he would say yes without much thought and then get distracted

Phoenix is a yes, she also knows the drill, I think she would spill a little bit but it’s not a big deal

Bob is a kind of yes? He would commit too much, he wouldn’t look straight up nervous but just a little… off

Fanboy is a yes, he’s nice about it, he’s happy you trust him

Coyote is a yes, people usually think that because he’s a big guy it’ll be safe and its true so that’s great

Payback is a 50/50, he’s also one of those people who would kinda forget they’re watching a drink

Fritz is a no, he has too much energy, he will either spill it or wave it around without a lot of thought

Omaha is a yes but you would have to explain to him why he needs to actually pay attention to the drink

Halo is a 50/50, on one hand she understands the task and she can accomplish it, on the other hand she is also likely to wave it around if she’s drunk

Yale is a yes, i don’t know why but I think that he would offer if he sees that you need someone to watch it

Harvard is a yes but you would also need to explain to him why this is important

Penny is the safest option if you’re at her bar, she’ll keep it behind the bar in a place out of reach

I feel like a dog that's been hanging around with housecats so long that I've grown up acting like them. I've always been a dog, and so I still have some of my own body language, but I've adopted so much catness that it feels almost just as much an intrinsic part of me. I still wag my tail according to dog rules, but I know when to switch; I slow blink to show my affection too; I've spent so long making myself small that I almost don't know how to accommodate my lanky body. In regards to my humanness, I draw cats better than I draw dogs; I've spent so much time in the Warrior cats fandom making characters and Clans and learning cat anatomy that when I try to draw a dog, my pencil makes them look short and fluffy with short legs and round stomachs. I can barely draw a dog from the side and have it look like one. I'm not just a dog—I identify almost as much with cats as I do with dogs. But I still am one. My jaws look a bit too big and my legs a bit too long. When I move without trying, I'm a bit too fast and graceless. I've spent my life hanging around cats, and it shows, but my dogness is just as undeniable.

I have a similar feeling about my humanness. Disregarding the fact that humanity has perks that I like too, I've just spent so long in this form that it's just as strong a part of me. I want to show my dogness, but not if it involves me throwing away my humanity. I can play with the other dogs, but at the end of the day, I stand back on two legs and go home to type on the computer and eat with a fork and spoon. I wouldn't throw away my grandmas' cooking, my lofted bed, or my bracelets and anklets. I wouldn't throw away all the memories I've made as a "human." So even when I'm not all human now, I don't want to leave that all behind.

I strongly agree that there are world events that deserve much more news coverage and resources than the Titan because frankly it should’ve been immediately assumed they were dead when sonar couldn’t find them and communication was lost.

However, I don’t necessarily think it’s fair to compare the EU coast guard and the US and Canada's various first response teams that responded to the Titan. Because they’re separate entities.

Do I think people should care more about the refugee ship that capsized due to alleged incompetence of the coast guard? Yes. I do. And I hope more survivors can be found because that was a genuine tragedy.

Do I think that it should be getting the same kind of attention as the Titan? Not really. Because people are just memeing on the Titan, and the average tumblr user has around $0.20 to their name and maybe 400 followers so this isn’t a very good platform for getting meaningful help for those affected by that situation.

This isn’t even a “you can care about two things at once” situation, because again with the Titan you should be very amused by 4/5 of those deaths whereas there’s nothing funny about what happened to that fishing ship. These are very different niches in cultural awareness and your ire should be towards media companies over random people on social media.

The Goth Mansion towered over Pendula View like a dark cloud. Somehow the Goths had convinved Pendites that they were the chosen ones who were always meant to rule the country, and one day, the world. Which is why they deserved this montrous mansion while most people lived in squalor.

The luxuries of the outside world were not forbidden from the Goths. Jewels, cars, foods. Even their young son, Alexander, wore clothes worth more than people's homes. Keeping Pendites poor, ignorant, and isolated was the key that allowed the Goths to maintain power.

it's not mendatory when one is living on top of the iterators/striving towards the religion and some May choose to rather wrap their hands up, but it is pretty common to cut the fingers off up there. some would rather do That to visually signal how good religious followers they are than actually work on themselves thru worship and other religion stuff. it's like a performance for everyone else, almost

the hands stuff in the oc lore is: • five fingered - the base for "higher" beings (aka sapient creatures capable of worship stationed on the planet) • three/four fingered - animalistic/way below the worshipping sapient creatures • fingerless hands - dedication to the religion in the form of renouncing using/taking anything the world has to offer. separation from the physical world is the whole theme of the Sins so goin as far as putting the body thru smth like that fits in real well

they sometimes take off the whole upper part of the hand (so half palm gone) or even the whole thing goes off. also thinkin that maybe the predecessor to this was just cutting the tendons that make the fingies move
