The scent rolled over him.
He looked up.
Overhead, a lilac tree was in bloom.
He stared.
Damn! Damn! Damn! Every year he forgot. Well, no. He never forgot. He just put the memories away, like old silverware that you didn't want to tarnish. And every year they came back, sharp and sparkling, and stabbed him in the heart. And today, of all days ...

my contribution to the bapo timeline discourse bc i’m just gonna propose a timeline and will not be taking criticism <3 (under the cut bc this is gonna be a long post probably)
ok disclaimer I am quite stupid, however I’m gonna use my knowledge from my own 12 years in american public high school and what little info I have about american boarding schools/catholic schools that I have from my friends lol. so. idk.
i’m also gonna date songs/major events and i’m gonna be taking some “just trust me bro” liberties bc y’all are right it does NOT make that much sense.
January 6: Epiphany; this is like an actual holiday lol. like its always on the sixth. idk its good that this is the starting point bc its an actual date yknow? For the purposes of this timeline were going with that its early in the week, so lets go with Monday idk
January 6-13: You and I, Role of a Lifetime; so we’re all kinda in agreement that this timeline (at least the beginning) only really makes sense if you and i/role of a lifetime aren’t like. a singular moment and are instead multiple days. so yeah, of this first week, this is like. monday-next sunday ish yknow.
January 14: Auditions, Plain Jane Fatass; ok so having auditions for a spring musical right after kids get back from break actually makes perfect sense to me, like i can see it being like “ok take break to prepare so as soon as you come back we can have auditions so we can jump right into rehersals” yknow? and since the rave is clearly on a friday (”we’ll meet in tanya’s room on friday night”) so i’m going with the monday before.
as for pjf, i know it doesn’t make a ton of sense for them to get a two week late birthday package their first few weeks back from school, but hear me out it makes sense. the implication throughout this entire show is that the twins have decently shitty parents. from bits of dialogue (in this song in particular lol) i’m kinda inferring their the “only concerned with how their kids make them look to others” kind of neglectful. so I don’t think it’s too outside the realm of possibility that they went away for the holidays, didn’t bring the twins, and instead mailed them a birthday package and having it show up two weeks late. realistically the timing of this isnt that important and the explicit “two week” time frame could’ve been an exaggeration on nadia’s part to mock her shit parents (idk its in her character) basically ppl are a little two fixated on this imo but anyway. moving on.
January 18: Wonderland, A Quiet Night At Home, Rolling, Best Kept Secret; a very agreed upon point in the timeline. its the friday following the auditions. moving on.
January 21: Confession; also very agreed upon. the monday following the rave. moving on again
January 23: Portrait of a Girl; the date here is kinda arbitrary, but bc sister chantelle says “ok lets try to put yesterday’s rehearsal behind us” and i for the life of me cannot think of a scene she could be referring to (there’s none in the script either) that implies it wasn’t the same monday as confession (bc even in a boarding school i think holding extracurriculars that aren’t sports over the weekend (especially when they are no where near crunch time lol) is weird and not common) so i just picked a random day during the week
January 25: Birthday Bitch!, One Kiss, Are You There?; from matt’s line in wonderland, ivy’s birthday is a week after the rave. in my timeline that’s january 25th (an aquarius queen).
btw given all grown up’s “17, how will i manage?” ivy is 16 during 17 at her party, which is strange given shes a high school senior and seniors are typically 17 during 18. so either a) she skipped a grade, not an unheard of thing. or b) shes not a senior, shes just a junior who hangs out with a bunch of seniors, which is also pretty common. and looking through the script i can’t find any mention that she is also a senior, other than yknow she graduates with them, but she isn’t mentioned during the class ranking scene? so idk not that it really matters just a fun detail
February 3 (at night): 911 Emergency!; ok controversial. i know i like the joke about how its funny that peter having a weird dream when he was high prompted him to want to come out and really ruined his relationship with jason. BUT. i think the dream (despite it’s weirdness) would have a lot more meaning if it wasn’t the result of being really high, but if it was a dream he had like a week later as a result of a building sense of guilt/anxiety bc he told matt. also it fits better given later timeline things. (this timeline literally only exists if there are weird jumps in time that don’t make a ton of sense) (EDIT: I forgot one line about Jason crashing at ivys but fuck it forget that bitchass line this makes for more drama its staying this way)
February 4: Reputation Stain’d, Ever After; the next day following peter’s dream, idk what else to say, moving on.
February 25-28: Spring; another jump! i’m sorry but the only way for this to make sense logistically is for there to be quite a few time jumps! however, i also think this one works bc i think it gives time for everything from around ivy’s party and peter and jason’s break up to stew emotionally. like obviously a musical only has so much time to tell a story so the audience cannot see every realistic beat, but honestly i think it makes the whole thing a little more dramatic™ if there’s space for everything to settle, and for ivy to come and apologize and such. also, the reason it’s multiple days is bc in the script, ivy is trying to study (presumably for some sort of midterm) while nadia is playing, so that probably takes place a few days before they move out, so before finals. but in the script, jason and peter are packing and peter is leaving, so that part of the song/staging takes place on the 28th. yes, that’s weird, but we are clearly thinking more about the logistics of this school than the writers were so.
March 1: One; assuming st. cecilia’s works kinda like boarding schools here, they probably do staggered move out/move in, just bc that would be a lot to have people coming and going at once so it makes sense that peter left the day before, while jason and ivy are leaving the next day. also, given that peter is trying to call jason while he and ivy are banging, it’s probably been a hot minute since the actual break up, since peter was clearly very hurt by the whole thing, it would make sense (at least to me) that peter would reach out a month ish later, rather than like a few days later (you have to make so many assumptions to make this timeline work granted they aren’t super out there assumptions but still this is annoying)
March 1-25: Spring Break. the coworkers I have who are in boarding school work over their school breaks, which are longer than the public school breaks (which are only a week) so i put their spring break at 3 weeks. it makes sense, and it makes the later part of the timeline make sense.
I know i’m already halfway through this, but to me it makes sense for their to be quite a few time jumps in the story bc its a musical. they cannot show every day. there are a lot of other shows (particularly shows set in high schools) that are set over a whole school year, but if you just look at the events of the story that doesn’t make sense, so you have to imply that obviously they are not showing every little detail. moving on.
March 25: Wedding Bells, In The Hallway, Touch My Soul; peter wakes up from his nightmare in the church, so im assuming he fell asleep in church (like he almost did during epiphany). also it makes sense that class ranks are announced in late march-early april, I know my school announced ours in like, the first week or so of april? so yeah. moving on.
(from this point on i was giving myself a headache trying to make it make sense so its all weird from here!!)
April 4: See Me, Warning; the date doesn’t really matter here, I picked a random day in early april. the script said peter is calling from him and jason’s old dorm room, as he was picking up the last of his things, so he clearly made the roommate switch after school started (makes sense to me).
April 15-20 (approximately): Ivy finds out she’s pregnant. look google tells me on average people find out they are pregnant around 5-7 weeks after conception. i went with around 7 just so this timeline makes a tiny bit more sense given the later stuff, so yeah here we go.
May 4: Pilgrim’s Hands, God Don’t Make No Trash, All Grown Up, Promise, Once Upon A Time, Cross; a rough night for our heroes. so given sister chantelle saying “again? wonderful.” and nadia saying “i can’t believe you missed rehearsal again”, clearly ivy has been missing quite a few rehearsals, so for dramas sake maybe from when she found out she was pregnant? also i know i’ve been saying they wouldn’t have rehearsals on weekends, and given my weird timeline this would be a saturday, but its tech week so i’ll allow it.
May 5: Two Households, Bare, Queen Mab, A Glooming Peace; pretty self explanatory, and it makes sense to have the spring play in early may. rip jason.
May 11: Absolution; the day before graduation peter goes to confront the priest. gives him a small amount of time to start processing, and it makes sense it would be the night before, at least to me.
May 12: No Voice; i fucking hate this. “peter, we graduate next sunday” i hate that stupid fucking line. do you know that this timeline literally would be fine if it weren’t for that stupid fucking line? bc then, the school play would be in early may and graduation could be in late may-early june (when most high schools hold graduation) but no. keeping with continuity, they have to graduate the sunday following the school play. “peter we graduate in a month, are you really never gonna talk to me again?” would have been fine. but no, now we have beef. literally everything else about the end of this timeline being kinda weird would work itself out, except for the fucking graduation. god damn. anyway, may 12th, the graduate on may 12th which is really fucking weird bc of that one fucking line. whatever. i didn’t write the damn thing bc if i did i wouldn’t have written that fucking line. (i’ve been at this for over an hour and a half, so i’m a tad annoyed, can you tell?)
anyway, that’s it. that’s my long as hell proposed bare timeline. if there’s anything glaringly wrong with it i don’t care bc this timeline literally cannot make sense. but honestly, now that i think about the Popular Tween High Schooler Musicals (heathers, bmc, deh) the timelines of those (especially heathers and bmc) don’t make tons of sense either. that’s just the way it is, that’s the way its gonna be. and we have to live with it.
this post is so long it is actually slowing down my laptop as i type it

• Hotchkiss H35
The Hotchkiss H35 or Char léger modèle 1935 H was a French cavalry tank developed prior to World War II. The Hotchkiss H35 was adopted in 1936 by the French Cavalry arm.
In 1926, it had been decided to provide armour support to the regular infantry divisions by creating autonomous tank battalions equipped with a light and cheap infantry tank, a char d'accompagnement. In 1933, the Hotchkiss company under its own initiative presented a plan to produce a design. This was made possible by the application of a new technology to produce cast steel sections to construct an entire hull. On June 30th, 1933, this proposal was approved by the Conseil Consultatif de l'Armement. On August 2nd, 1933 the specifications were issued: a weight of 6 long tons (6.1 t) and 30 mm (1.2 in) armour protection all around. Three prototypes were ordered from Hotchkiss, but the French industry as a whole was also invited to provide alternative proposals for a nouveau char léger. On January 18th, 1935, the first Hotchkiss prototype, not yet made of armour steel, was presented to the Commission d'Expérience du Matériel Automobile (CEMA) at Vincennes; it was a machine gun-armed tankette without turret. It was tested until 4 March 1935, when it was replaced by the second identical prototype to be tested until May 6th. Both had to be rejected because new specifications had been made on June 21st, 1934 that increased the desired armour thickness to 40 mm (1.6 in).
On August 19th, the third prototype was delivered, equipped with a cast APX turret and featuring a redesigned hull; it was tested until September 20th and accepted. On November 6th, 1935 a first order was made for 200 vehicles. Though it should have been completed between July 1936 and July 1937, the first production vehicle was in fact delivered on September 12th, 1936. A first additional orders had already been made of 92 on September 7th, 1936, to be completed in November 1937. A third one of 108 vehicles followed in January 1937, to be completed in September 1938. By January 1st, 1937 132 hulls had been produced. None of these had at that date yet been fitted with a turret. The first series vehicle was again extensively and intensively tested until 4 December 1936. The testing soon showed that its cross-country handling qualities were unacceptably poor. It was simply impossible to safely steer the vehicle on a somewhat bumpy surface, posing an extreme danger to nearby friendly infantry. The Infantry therefore initially rejected any further procurement. Eventually, in 1937, it decided to accept only the last hundred tanks to equip just two battalions with the type. For political reasons however, stopping production of the tank was unacceptable. As a result the first three hundred vehicles of the production run were offered to the Cavalry, which was forced to accept them because it would not have been granted a budget for other tanks anyway. The H 35 was, at 28 km/h (17 mph), also somewhat faster than the Renault R35, which was capable of 20 km/h (12 mph), although in practice its average speed was lower than that of the R 35 because of its inferior gear box.
The Hotchkiss H35 was a small vehicle, 4.22 m (13.8 ft) long, 1.95 m (6.4 ft) wide and 2.133 m (7.00 ft) tall and weighing 10.6–11.37 t (10.43–11.19 long tons). The hull consisted of six cast armour sections, bolted together: the engine deck, the fighting compartment, the front of the hull, the back of the hull and two longitudinal sections left and right forming the bottom. The hull was made water-tight by cementing these sections together with Aslic, a product based on tar mixed with lime. The casting allowed for sloped armour, avoiding shot traps, to optimise the chance of deflection but the protection levels did not satisfy the Infantry. Maximum armour thickness was not the specified 40 mm (1.6 in) but 34 mm (1.3 in). There were persistent quality problems, worsened by the fact that many subcontractors had to be used: at first the armour was made much too soft; when hardness was increased it became brittle and hence developed weak spots. There was a crew of two. The driver sat at the right front, behind a large cast double hatch and next to the combined gearbox and steering unit. Behind him was a round escape hatch in the bottom of the hull. Driving the vehicle was very hard work. The Hotchkiss lacked the Cleveland differential ("Cletrac") of its Renault competitor, and it responded unpredictably to changes of direction. The brakes could not sufficiently compensate for this, being too weak, especially when driving down-slope.
No less troublesome was the gearbox: it was difficult to engage the highest fifth gear and so the theoretical top speed of 27.8 km/h (17.3 mph) was rarely reached. There was one reverse gear. The inevitable rough handling of the tank by the driver resulted in much wear and tear. Mechanical reliability was poor. The suspension consisted of three bogies per side—each formed of two bell cranks arranged as "scissors" with springs at the top. Each bogie carried two rubber-rimmed wheels. The bogies superficially resembled the R35 type, but used horizontal helical springs instead of rubber cylinders. The sprocket was at the front, the idler which itself was sprung to automatically control tension at the rear. There were two top rollers. The tank was powered by a 78 hp six-cylinder 86 x 100 3485 cc engine which was on the left of the engine compartment. A 160-litre fuel tank on the right, combined with a twenty litres reserve reservoir, gave a range of 129 km (80 mi) or eight hours on a varied terrain. Also a cooling fan drew air through the radiator and was also expected to cool the fuel tank. The trench-crossing capacity was 1.8 m (5.9 ft), the wading capacity 85 cm (33 in). The APX-R turret was the same standard type as used on the R35 and R40 tanks, made of 40 mm (1.6 in) cast steel and armed with the short 37 mm SA 18 gun, which had a maximum armour penetration of only 23 mm (0.91 in). Traverse of the turret was with a handwheel. The commander sat in a saddle suspended from the turret. The tank carried about 100 rounds for the gun, and 2,400 rounds for the coaxial 7.5 mm Reibel machine gun – the 37 mm ammunition racked on the left hand side of the hull, the 7.5 mm ammunition on the right side in fifteen circular magazines with 150 rounds each; a final magazine was to be at the ready on the machine-gun itself.
For access there was a hatch at the back of the turret. When opened, the commander could sit on it for better observation, but this left him very vulnerable and slow to reach the gun. The alternative was to fight closed-up, observing through the vertical slits or the visor of the hatchless cupola. The Cavalry liked neither this arrangement nor the weak gun. The latter problem was lessened somewhat by enlarging the breech so that special rounds with a larger charge could be used. This increased muzzle velocity to about 600 m/s (2,000 ft/s) and maximum penetration to about 30 mm (1.2 in). In the Spring of 1940 the original diascopes of the Chrétien type were gradually replaced with episcopes, offering more protection.
In the Cavalry arm, the main user at first, the Hotchkiss tanks replaced as main combat tanks the light AMR 33 and AMR 35 vehicles, that for want of a better type had been used to form the bulk of the first two Cavalry armoured divisions. As the new medium SOMUA S35 was initially produced in very limited numbers, until early 1939 the Hotchkiss equipped three of the four divisional tank regiments. In April 1940 the 342e CACC (Compagnie Autonome de Chars de Combat or "Independent Tank Company") was sent to Norway after Operation Weserübung, the German invasion of that country, having first been intended to form part of an expeditionary force to assist Finland in the Winter War. This autonomous company, equipped with fifteen Char léger modèle 1935 H modifié 39, all with short guns, fought in the later phase of the Battles of Narvik, after having landed on May 7th. According to the official army acceptance lists, at the start of World War II 640 Hotchkiss tanks had been delivered. The inventories deviate slightly: of the 300 H35s allocated to the Cavalry, 232 were fielded by ten cavalry squadrons, 44 were in depot, eight in factory overhaul and sixteen in North Africa. Of the H39s, sixteen were used by the Cavalry in North Africa and six in depot; 180 were fielded by four Infantry tank battalions and fourteen were in the Infantry matériel reserve. It was decided to concentrate most Allied production capacity for light tanks into the manufacture of a single type, and the Hotchkiss tank was chosen as it had the necessary mobility to be of use in the many armoured divisions the Entente planned to raise for the expected decisive summer offensive of 1941. To this end British and Portuguese heavy industry had to assist in producing the cast armour sections. It was hoped to increase production to 300 a month in October 1940, and even 500 a month from March 1941, the sections of 75 of which to be provided by Britain in exchange for a monthly delivery of nine Char B1s.
These plans were disrupted by the Battle of France. In May 1940 the type equipped in the Cavalry units two tank regiments (of 47) in each of the three Mechanised Light Divisions and served as AMR in the 9th and 25th Mechanised Infantry Division. Furthermore, sixteen vehicles were part of the 1er RCA in Morocco. In the Infantry it equipped the two autonomous battalions mentioned above and two battalions of 45 in each of the three Divisions Cuirassées, the latter with the H39 variant. Most Hotchkiss tanks were thus concentrated in larger motorised units, in the armoured divisions supplementing the core of heavier tanks, though they were mismatched. Following the French defeat in the Battle of France about 550 Hotchkiss tanks were captured and used by the Germans as Panzerkampfwagen 35H 734(f) or Panzerkampfwagen 38H 735(f); most for occupation duty. Like the French, the Germans made no clear distinction between a H38 and a H39; and fitted many with a cupola with a hatch. Panzer-Abteilung 211 was deployed in Finland during Operation Barbarossa, equipped with Hotchkiss tanks. In 1944, three of its vehicles were converted to 7.5 cm self-propelled guns. German H35/39s also saw action in Yugoslavia with 7.SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Division "Prinz Eugen", 12. Panzer-Kompanie z.b.V. and I./Panzer-Regiment 202. In 1942 a project was launched to make use of French equipment as carrier platforms for heavier guns, directed by Major Alfred Becker, an artillery officer who was a mechanical engineer by trade. He had experience making similar conversions with captured Belgian and British vehicles. Some vehicles were modified into munition carriers or artillery tractors (Artillerieschlepper 38H(f)) or rocket-launchers (Panzerkampfwagen 35H(f) mit 28/32 cm Wurfrahmen). In June 1943, 361 Hotchkiss tanks were still listed in the German Army inventories as 37 mm gun tanks; this number had decreased to sixty in December 1944.
Three Hotchkiss tanks of the "H39" version had been exported by France to Poland in July 1939 for testing by the Polish Bureau of Technical Studies of Armoured Weapons, with a view to a larger purchase. During the German invasion of Poland in 1939 the Hotchkiss tanks, together with three Renault R 35 tanks, were organised into an ad hoc "half company" unit under lieutenant J. Jakubowicz, formed on September 14th, 1939 in Kiwerce, Poland. The unit joined the "Dubno" task force and lost all of its tanks during the marches and fighting against German and Soviet armies, due to fuel shortages. In North Africa, 27 vehicles (thirteen H35 and fourteen H39) were officially serving in the 1e Régiment de Chasseurs d'Afrique and were allowed to remain there by the armistice conditions; another five were hidden in Morocco. They fought the Allies during the opening stages of Operation Torch, the Allied invasion of French North Africa, near Casablanca in November 1942, destroying four M3 Stuart light tanks. The regiment then joined the allied cause and was re-equipped with M4 Sherman medium tanks in the summer of 1943. After the war, some Hotchkiss tanks were used by French security forces in the colonies, such as French Indochina, and occupation forces in Germany. Ten H39s were clandestinely sold to Israel, they were shipped from Marseilles to Haifa in 1948.
One Hotchkiss H35 and nine Hotchkiss H35s modifié 39 have survived to this present day, all of the modifié 39 were further modified by the Germans during World War II.

Unus Annus: A Complete Ranked List
well, now that every single video has been released, i’ve compiled them all into a complete ranked list, from best video to worst! this took way longer than it had any right to.  (also, please note this is just my opinion, and in all honesty, this list was really hard because so many of these videos are fantastic. you could tell me that you’d rearrange anything in the 50-250 range and i’d probably agree with you.)
And if you don’t feel like going through the whole list, here’s Unus Annus ranked by month!
If the video is in: Top 50: 5 points 51 - 100: 4 points 101 - 150: 3 points 151 - 200: 2 points 201 - 250: 1 point 251 - 300: 0 points 300 or below: -1 point (Any ties settled by which month had the highest ranking video overall.)
November: 93 October: 72 December:70 September: 66 February: 66 August: 63 June: 60 January: 59 July: 53 May: 43 March: 37 April: 1

🌹 camren recap of 2019: part 1 (january - march)
(1) (2) (3) (4)
this post contains almost everything to do with camren in 2019*. it also includes things about their respective PRs from this year, when relevant, and a little bit of OT5 is sprinkled in as well. this year i am keeping things in chronological order unlike last year, and entries that take place over the course of multiple days will be grouped together according to the first day.
*disclaimer: some of these things very well may be coincidences, but are included anyways because we all love lauren and camila’s synchronicity.
without further adieu, let the games begin!
january 4th:
at the beginning of january, lauren went on a vacation to a resort in sedona, arizona. while it was mostly a trip dedicated to herself, it was highly speculated among the community that camila visited her. during this time, camila tweeted this, on the day she possibly returned home to miami:
Tumblr media
what’s more is that during the entire duration of lauren’s stay in sedona, camila’s spotify activity (which at the time was always public) was set to private. on the day lauren returned (january 7th), so did the spotify activity:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
january 5th:
lauren and camila were active on instagram at the same time:
Tumblr media
(more of a sync moment)
january 6th:
dinah liked an instagram post with a peculiar caption:
Tumblr media
january 7th:
about 12 hours after lauren posted a song on her story, camila listened to it on spotify:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
on january 25th, lauren referenced the song again:
Tumblr media
january 8th:
dinah reposted someone else’s post on her story where havana is playing in the background:
Tumblr media
on the same day, lauren did an IG live where she told everyone she wrote more than that 2-3 years ago. previously lauren had lied about when she started writing music:
Tumblr media
this can be further supported because in a story in 2017, lauren says she likes to write music in a bathroom.
january 11th:
in the instagram live to celebrate the release of more than that, lauren showed off the new earrings that were gifted to her on christmas. at first she simply said ‘baby’ got them for her, but then she panicked and clarified that person she was talking about is ty, and she looked disgusted to say it. link. because of this unneeded coverup, those earrings were likely from camila.
in other news, dinah liked something somewhat suggestive involving the sun and moon:
Tumblr media
january 12th:
this is where camila’s lies began. in order to push the narrative that matthew was her first real relationship, on the anniversary of CAMILA, she said that the songs on the album were not based on real relationships:
Tumblr media
we know that to be false for many reasons, but mainly because she said the exact opposite thing herself in her zach sang interview about a year earlier.
besides the anniversary of CAMILA, britney spears celebrated the 20th anniversary of baby one more time on the same day. lauren just so happened to follow her and like her post about it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
though a reach, it was speculated that this was a nod towards camila and not only britney.
january 15th:
lauren kind of shaded her label columbia by liking a post discussing how they don’t allow ‘risky’ material and that earl sweatshirt feels ‘free’ now that he isn’t signed to them:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
that day, a low quality video of camila and matthew attempting to be affectionate in what looks to be a candid setting (which is isn’t) circulated:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the following day, lauren tweeted this, possibly directed at how inorganic PR relationships are:
Tumblr media
january 17th
during the hilarity of the world record egg, jayecane on twitter gave themselves that display name, and camila followed them while they were obsessively spamming about lauren:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
january 18th:
in an IG story about the more than that music video, the bad things music video was present in lauren’s suggestions:
Tumblr media
taking youtube’s algorithm and bad things’ release date into consideration, this suggests that lauren frequently watches camila’s videos.
january 26th:
coincidence?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
january 27th:
at 1:55pm EST, camila posted a video of a boy singing a song on her story, which included the lyrics “i’ll be right next to you”. link
exactly one minute later at 1:56pm, lauren posted this:
Tumblr media
january 30th:
in her beats1 interview, lauren revealed that her and ty had spent three months apart in the spring/summer of 2018 when things got busy. however, lauren and ty were seen together at least once a month that year. creds to totallylost4you for compiling this evidence.
a slightly more fitting scenario would be lauren and camila being apart for three months at a time. the never be the same tour started in spring, and that, as well as the reputation stadium tour, carried on into the summer:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
almost exactly three months after april 9th, camila had a week long break:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
january 31st:
lauren told us to shut the fuck up:
Tumblr media
same day, camila posted this to twitter and instagram:
Tumblr media
about an hour later, lauren seemingly replied. as january was a rather quiet month for both girls, it felt less than coincidental for a lot of people:
Tumblr media
on february 13th, lauren liked this post on instagram, which really sealed the deal:
Tumblr media
this indirect went on to be a reference to dream of you off of romance.
Tumblr media
february 8th:
camila listened to sweet disposition from one of her moon playlists:
Tumblr media
february 10th (the GRAMMYs lightning round):
coincidence?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
who are you talking about dinah?
Tumblr media
dinah jane strikes again!
Tumblr media
lauren’s turn now:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
february 12th:
arturo sandoval, the trumpet player from the grammys havana performance, liked a camren post:
Tumblr media
camila was on lauren’s IG feed (haha):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
february 14th:
lauren put another tally on the prison wall. tara got fake internet mad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
perhaps the most amusing part of this day was that ‘lauren’ posted a video to her story identical to the one ty posted about 18 hours beforehand... in the middle of their dinner she was posting about. spoiler alert, someone accidentally posted the video that was only meant for ty to post on lauren’s story.
february 18/24th:
roses:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
maybe a small coincidence:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
camila’s got a ‘boyfriend’ anyway:
Tumblr media
february 19th:
lauren and ty took a jarring picture at a party and lauren posted it on her story except it was the one where one of the owners of laurmilaupates photoshopped ty out of it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
february 21st:
lauren liked amber rose’s video of her son singing havana:
Tumblr media
february 23rd:
lauren missed her banana-loving girlfriend:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
february 24th:
camila took one of lauren’s books:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
february 26th:
hello dinah:
Tumblr media
march 2nd:
keep that fingernail trimmed camila:
Tumblr media
march 3rd:
snippets of camila’s birthday post that stuck out (?!!!):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
lauren loves camila to pisces pieces:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
march 4th:
camila listened to sweet disposition again, this time on her ‘love’ playlist:
Tumblr media
march 5th:
we see you lauren:
Tumblr media
i know somebody with ocean eyes, camila...
Tumblr media
march 13th:
shotty photoshop alert:
Tumblr media
march 17/24th:
a little too in sync:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they might have also walked the same trail in LA:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
march 28th:
alejandro sanz posted multiple teasers for mi persona favorita’s music video, but camila only liked the one featuring two women in a romantic relationship:
Tumblr media
march 29th:
mike liked a video of someone painting lauren and mi persona favorita was playing in the background:

tumblr
I need to spend more time on tumblr I forgot how calming this was.
I haven’t blogged since April it looks like so fuck...uuhhhh i used to make mini timelines on here and idek how to sum it all up but imma give it a shot for future me cause i always like to come back and read these - gonna go back in time a little to get the full covid picture but it ends with talking about the woods walk that lead to this video which brings me SO MUCH JOY
march 12th ~ last day i was at clinicals before it cancelled april 1st - online class stuff officially starts happening it probably happened before this but this is when i made a record of it. started anatomy review n shit for big ass exam april 5th - judging by my writing.. depression kicks in hard but also studying WAYYY too much every damn day april 14th ~ big deal first job interview april 17th ~ did the breakup thing, think that was the last time i wrote on here april 29th - found out big ass certification test on may 20th is scheduled for TBD ~ also found out i  got the job but awsjhcfksdjhk now certifcation is postponed for got knows when may 1st - journal says “i got to see syd and i feel better”, dont think i realized how hard the breakup feels were hittin me cause i remember casually hanging out n then suddenly crying may 13th - slept through last day of my fucking class like a goddamn depressed dummy may 18 n 19 n 20 - miss kitty to the er, and then to her nuero appointment and they think brain tumor but cant afford MRI but prednisone instantly makes her better. all the scared feels of losing her and class being done and no certification exam in sight and just general awful nothingness floating through the void (still studying way too much everyday day) seems like i saw kirk like every other weekend idk how to feel about that im the worst w clean breakups may 21st ~ technically ive graduated but it feels like nothing. also idk if he did it this day or the next but kirk dropped off flowers and a card and a you did it! smiley face thing with a grad cap on that yells YOU DID IT whenever u touch it lol may 26th ~ study sesh w shawna n jordan i know i did other study seshs w them too but idk when, and then home and parents had signs made on the lawn to congratulate me graduating, and then sydney got dropped off and we headed to rhode island may 28th ~ very interesting/bad/idk wtf mushroom trip. adderall was still in my system and i dont think my body liked that mix and then i took xanax to try to calm down but theyre not pharm approved xanax so i just lost some time but syd took awesome care of me and we laughed about this weird juicy couture dress idk even though it was bad it was great cause i was with her. i do remember petting miss kitty and she had like overlapping colored outlines and looked very ethereal and it kept me calm while syd was outside. before the trip was great too i went to ocean state job lot and syd and i made a bonfire and ate donuts n delicious coffee milkshakes honestly it was all great slept entire day after bad trip but then wokeup and immediately started studying again lmao june 1st - called the people to try to get my test scheduled but that was a no go june 4th - letter arrives can actually schedule test - schedule for 16th STUDY STUDY DIE DIE DIE STUDY DIE STUDY DIE SHdkjceshkfchsdjc june 16th - FUCKIN PASSED MY TEST june 30th - mask fitting n stuff july 1st - good hangs w syd im lucky to have her july 5th - go to the fells for the first time in FUCKIN FOREVER cause syd and lucas were going n invited me and im so happy they did swimming felt so good omg july 7th - first day o work july 10th - officially scrubbed in again, feels good, but exhausting july 21st - all nighter where connor tells me he never loved me but in the context of an actually really good heart to heart session (which weve been having a bunch of latelyp) im upset but also not at all, work is exhausting but ive started taking my antidepressants again (literally that morning lol) and i go for a woods walk n swim after, and a deer follows me in the forest and its magical and life is good july 22nd - fuckin slept through work and thats never happened so been pushin myself a bit too hard july 25th - yesterday, worked saturday w j so we’re the only tchs there and did 2 lap apps and a hemiarthroplasty and it was good but also a little discouraging idk if this career is for me
and that about brings it up to today. talking to kirk less which is good for both of us. connor and i having lots of heart to hearts n genuine friendship chats. glad thats come full circle. lucky to have syd in my life. just generally idk that bears repeating haha i love her and writing this is realized how many times i wanted to write “and then syd made everything better” - she was the first person i called after i passed my test and she started screaming for me cause she knows me and knows my past and how hard ive worked and idk just a lotta love there. im lucky. word end of things idk wtf is going on but does anybody really? hahahaha. this career is not for me and i know it deep down but ill finish orientation before i do anything. but as of right now even though lifes good it kinda feels bad cause almost everyday im sweating and shaking and in so much fucking pain for a 10 hour shift and then i come home and collapse. antidepressants are helping though. i havent been on them for the entirety of my program/job so i thought that the job just came w this sort of exhaustion. but now im remembering theres after work tired and then theres depression tired.

A(N  ESTIMATED )  TIMELINE  FOR  SHERLOCK
PLEASE NOTE: John’s Blog and the show contradict each other at times, in these cases, the show will be taken as canon. In times where the show contradicts itself, if other media cannot solve the mix up, then estimates based on what makes the most real world sense will be used to find an answer.
ADDITIONALLY: I don’t want to get flooded with everyone's headcanons for things where estimates had to be made; but i greatly welcome canon information that might have been missed or ( ie: The Game is Now Escape Room ) have been unable to experience. I also do not consider interviews with cast and crew as reliable sources for the most part, as these answers have also changed throughout the years. It will only be given consideration if nothing else contradicts it and was said without the air of taking the mickey out of us as many interactions with fans have. They like to say things just to get us going. So I consider this less of a word of god and more of a word of the clown.
BIRTHDATES
DATES OF MAJOR EVENTS
NOTES
TL;DR
SOURCES
THIS VERSION IS THE REBLOG FRIENDLY VERSION OF A TIMELINE MADE ON MY OTHER BLOG ( SEE TAGS )
BIRTHDATES:
SHERLOCK HOLMES: January 6th, 1981 ( stated in The Casebook ); making him younger than the actor playing him. However, this does conflict slightly as Sherlock states he was nine years old when Carl Powers drowned, and the article claims it was in 1989, which places his birth in 1980 instead. This was before they gave Sherlock a canonical birthdate in any media, however, and for the purposes of this, we’ll be using the casebook age, and claiming Sherlock was either rounding or misremembering due to the fact his childhood memories are not entirely factual. Additionally, the headstone image shown in The Sherlock Chronicles says 1977, but the previous date is the one considered to be Canon. ( See Notes )
JOHN WATSON: unknown, but somewhere in the 70′s. A popular fandate is March 30th. Judging off of the actor’s age, possibly around 1971, but maybe younger as many actors are playing younger than themselves.
MYCROFT HOLMES: Exact date unknown, but he is seven years older than Sherlock, which puts him to be born around 1973-1974. Which makes him canonically younger than the actor playing him.  02/25/19 EDIT: According to sources, Mycroft is given a birthdate in the Escape Room based on the series, October 20th, 1968. While the October date works fine, year for this doesn't fit the "Seven Years Older" claim on the show. The oldest birth date given for Sherlock is 1977 and that would make Mycroft nine years older than Sherlock, not seven. The year given falls closer to Mark Gatiss' actual age, and leaves me inclined to think that perhaps year for the game isn't entirely factual. That being said, there's still no reason he couldn't have been born October 20th. Based on the "Seven Years Older" claim, stated in show, the best guess is October 20th, 1974.
EURUS HOLMES: Exact date unknown, but she is a year younger than Sherlock, which makes her born somewhere in 1982-1983 depending on when she was conceived.
MARY WATSON: Unknown, but based on the actress’ age, likely 1974;  but maybe younger as many actors are playing younger than themselves.
ROSAMUND “ROSIE” WATSON: January 2015. We can infer this because based on how far along Mary was at her wedding, Rosie would have been conceived Mid-April, and if she was relatively ontime, she’d be born late January.
DATES OF NOTE:
REDBEARD / THE MUSGRAVE FIRE: Between 1988-1989 roughly; there is no clear indication on the show as to when these events took place. We can only summarize based on what we know about other events. We know that Sherlock "began" solving crimes at age nine ( see below ) due to Carl Powers; and we know that Sherlock had to be younger than ten years old during the events told in The Final Problem. Assuming that the tragic events of Carl Powers triggered something in him, making him take extra notice due to his own past experiences with Eurus and Victor; but still allowing time for all the events to take place and enough time to have passed for Sherlock to have rewritten the story so completely in his head where he can be suspicious but not fully triggered; I'd place him as seven or eight during these events.
THE CARL POWERS DEATH: 1990
*see notes for Sherlock’s birthday
UNIVERSITY: Sherlock attended the same school as Sebastian Wilkes in the early 2000s. Exact years, and if they were at school for the same duration of time is unknown; but he last saw the man roughly eight years ( if Wilkes can be trusted for accuracy ) prior to The Blind Banker, which would be somewhere in 2002/2003
SHERLOCK AND JOHN’S FIRST MEETING: January 29, 2010
CASE: A STUDY IN PINK: January 30th, 2010
CASE: THE BLIND BANKER: March 23rd-March 27th; inferred by Sherlock deducting the incorrect date on Wilkes’ watch and the on-screen passage of time.
Sherlock traveled to and from Minsk sometime between the events of The Blind Banker and The Great Game; based on the dates given, as well as the close air dates of the two episodes, it’s to be believed that Sherlock left and returned from Minsk on March 28th. This is also made plausible due to the funding Sherlock seems to have for himself, his impatience and the fact that it is a three hour flight each way.
BAKER STREET BOMBING: March 28th; evening
CASE: THE GREAT GAME: March 29 - April 1st; we know this based on both the blog posts and Sherlock updating his website with the case answers. However, the blog post was edited from the original date of April 6th after it’s initial publication. The reason for this is unknown.
DURATION OF SERIES ONE: January 29th, 2010 - March 29th, 2010: three months exactly.
MISC: John and Sarah go to New Zealand for a week and breakup ( April 2010 )
TRIP TO BUCKINGHAM PALACE ( A SCANDAL IN BELGRAVIA ): September 15th, 2010
IRENE MEETING: September 15, 2010
BAKER STREET CHRISTMAS PARTY: December 25th 2010
IDENTIFYING IRENE’S BODY: December 25th, 2010
IRENE REVEALS SHE’S ALIVE: December 31st, 2010
JOHN PUBLISHES THE CASE: March 12th, 2011;
We don’t know the exact amount of time transpiring between New Years Eve and this point. Based on his track record, it’s likely January 15th is meant to be the date that Sherlock is told Irene is in Witness protection ( John seems to publish immediately, regardless of how tasteful it might be to reveal details of recent cases ). This gap would cover everything from Irene arriving at Baker Street, Sherlock going to the airfield, him beating Irene at the game, and saving her in Karachi. It’s likely, considering how erratic Sherlock is by early March with no cases, that the day John tells Sherlock the lie, is around late January / early February. Allowing Sherlock enough time to have done all of this as well as get riled up in time for Baskerville, which had to have occured before March 16th
CASE: THE HOUNDS OF BASKERVILLE: Early March 2011; by best estimates given as John doesn’t take too long to post his accounts of the events, and he had already finished typing up the case prior.
BASKERVILLE CASE POSTED: March 16th, 2011. This is also the same date Moriarty hacks John’s blog with a video of him inside of their flat. Suggesting he’s already free from his interrogation shown at the end of The Hounds of Baskerville.
The dates surrounding Sherlock’s death and The Reichenbach Fall are highly questionable as the episode, the blog, and logistics for certain events all contradict each other. Joe Lidster, who wrote John’s real world blog, has comically said that Moriarty hacking the blog gave it a virus that messed with the dating system, as a tongue in cheek explanation. Meaning if we were to take that as fact, all the dates in the blog could be false. The newspapers shown in the episode, have dates that suggest different things. I’ve chosen the one which makes the most sense, based on the news reel clip on John’s blog, the statement that he went to therapy three months later, the school holiday schedule for the abduction of the Ambassador’s children and several other people’s attempts to sort this all out. An alternative version can be found here.
MORIARTY’S ROBBERIES: Late March, by best guess. Possibly a bit earlier.
MORIARTY’S TRIAL / RELEASE: April 2011
MORIARTY’S PLAN TO RUIN SHERLOCK: June 12-June 14th, 2011
MORIARTY COMMITS SUICIDE / SHERLOCK FAKES HIS: June 14th/15th; the 15th is the more commonly believed date.
JOHN CONFIRMS ON HIS BLOG: June 16th, 2011
JOHN VISITS SHERLOCK’S GRAVE: Mid/Late June 2011
TOTAL SERIES TWO DURATION: March 29th, 2010 ( The Pool ) - June 2011. Fifteen Months / One Year and Three Months
SHERLOCK DISMANTLES MORIARTY’S NETWORK: June 2011 - Late October / Early November 2013
MARY MAKES HER FIRST COMMENT ON JOHN’S BLOG: April 20th, 2013
JOHN POSTS OLD CASES: April 2013 - October 5th, 2013
WEBISODE ( MANY HAPPY RETURNS ): October 5th, 2013
SHERLOCK RETURNS: Late October / Early November 2013
JOHN ALMOST BURNED ALIVE: Guy Fawkes Day, November 5th, 2013
CASE: THE EMPTY HEARSE / #SHERLOCK LIVES: November 7th, 2013
JOHN AND SHERLOCK’S VARIOUS CASES: November 2013 - May 2014
Another case of Blog vs Screen; John and Mary’s wedding invites are shown throughout The Sign of Three with the date May 13th, while John’s blog states it was in August. The blog is deemed incorrect in this case, as well as his entries about the cases Sherlock reads at the Wedding
ROSIE WATSON IS CONCEIVED: Mid April 2014
JOHN AND MARY’S WEDDING: May 13th, 2014; ( see above note about The Sign of Three )
His Last Vow has the opposite problem as the series finale prior, in which next to no dates are given. We only know the dates at the end of the episode. Just that the events of John getting restless, Sherlock using again, Magnussen visiting, Sherlock being shot, Sherlock leaving early to confront Mary, Sherlock leaving to confront Magnussen, John confronting Mary, Sherlock being taken to Hospital again and being released all happen between May 13th and December 25th, 2014. It can take a couple months for gunshot victims to be released from Hospital, depending on the severity. Applying Mycroft Rules and Television Rules we know that Sherlock likely didn’t stay the time a regular patient would have. Knowing Sherlock he would have wanted out as soon as possible. We know John and Mary were at odds for a bit, reconciling on Christmas. Plus there needed to be time for Sherlock to fake date Janine, John to reach the level of restlessness there was and get Charles’ attention. So these next few dates are estimates. The majority of the scenes shown in episode are out of order and happen in two time periods, before Mary’s revealed and Christmas Day.
JOHN BREAKS INTO THE DRUG DEN / MAGNUSSEN VISITING BAKER STREET: September / October 2014
SHERLOCK GETTING SHOT:  September / October 2014
SHERLOCK SNEAKING OUT OF HOSPITAL TO MEET MAGNUSSEN AND MARY:  Early/Mid October 2014; presuming based on deleted scenes depicting a Sherlock who was unable to move for a while in recovery that this was maybe days or weeks later when it was deemed safe to wake him up from medically induced coma.
JOHN CONFRONTING MARY: October 2014 ( same day as above )
SHERLOCK RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL: Mid-December 2014, inferred by how the family and friends act as if it was more recent while at the Holmes’ family home.
SHERLOCK SHOOTS MAGNUSSEN: December 25th, 2014
SHERLOCK BOARDS THE PLANE / MORIARTY’S VIDEO GOES LIVE: December 31st, 2014 / January 2nd, 2015; the show itself provides two different accounts of this. Mycroft states in His Last Vow, that Sherlock was in holding for a week, placing the scene at the tarmac in Early January 2015; however, the introduction to The Abominable Bride places the scene with onscreen text in 2014 still. The only way both can be remotely accurate is if Mycroft is rounding up, and it’s December 31st, 2014.
DURATION OF SERIES THREE: Fall 2013 - Winter 2014;  just over one calendar year.
CASE: THE ABOMINABLE BRIDE ( REAL WORLD ): December 31st, 2014 / January 2nd, 2015 ( see above )
The first scene of The Six Thatchers, along with the real world scenes of The Abominable Bride and the final scenes of His Last Vow are the same day.
SHERLOCK IS ACQUITTED OF CRIMES:  December 31st, 2014 / January 2nd, 2015 ( see above )
ROSIE WATSON IS BORN: Mid/Late January 2015, assuming she was relatively on time.
ROSIE WATSON’S BAPTISM: March / April 2015; based on many modern traditions, the baby’s age and the style of clothing worn by the attendees.
The Six Thatchers covers the majority of one calendar year, no exact dates are given but we can surmise things based on the shown development of Rosie Watson ( whom we know to be a year old by the end of The Final Problem ). Rosie is shown to have full head support and movement before Mary dies, which is something that happens around six months. This would mean Mary’s still alive around June 2015. Allowing for time in which Mary is on the lam, leading to the aquarium, the following are my best guesses for events.
MARY IS MISSING: Summer 2015 ( how long she was gone for is unclear )
MARY IS BACK IN LONDON: September 2015
NORBURY SHOOTS MARY: October 2015
SHERLOCK RECEIVES MARY’S VIDEO / JOHN’S LETTER: Late October. 2015 / Possibly Early November 2015
CASE: THE LYING DETECTIVE: Possibly Mid-December 2015 / Early January 2016
Another case of ‘we don’t know how long’; we know Sherlock returns from hospital on his birthday, but the dates in between are unclear. Nor do we know how long John and Sherlock didn’t speak for. Sherlock would have needed a major detox, as well as treatment for his injuries. Based on the timeframe, it’s unlikely he attended any form of inpatient rehab outside of whatever the hospital had on location due to his injuries. Possibly due to either Mycroft pulling strings, or the more likely, Sherlock refusing and signing himself out when able.
We also know that the jump from The Lying Detective and The Final Problem can’t be too long. Even though Sherlock has had a magical recovery from all ailments between episodes, it’s extremely unlikely that John sat on the ‘I was almost killed by your secret sister’ tidbit for a few weeks. Meaning these episodes likely happen very shortly after one another. It also feels unlikely that Eurus would make herself known to John and then wait weeks/months to then begin acting out again once the secret was revealed.
JOHN AND SHERLOCK’S REUNITING: January 6th, 2016
JOHN’S FINAL THERAPY SESSION WITH EURUS: Somewhere between January 6th - January 13th 2016; assuming he went about once a week.
CASE: THE FINAL PROBLEM: January 13th, 2015 - January 20th, 2016; presuming John was able to tell Sherlock after ( not knowing how long he was knocked out for ); and allowing Sherlock and John some time to figure out their next move. This would also cover the attack on Baker Street and the entire event on Sherrinford Island.
ROSIE WATSON’S FIRST BIRTHDAY: Mid/Late January, 2016
OTHER NOTES:
The Entire Series spans six years.
The Sherlock Timeline runs one year behind real world time, with the show’s episodes in universe during 2016, aired in January 2017
Sherlock Holmes would be 29 in A Study In Pink, and 35 by The Final Problem based on the Casebook date. 30 and 36 by The Carl Powers age. and 33 and 39 by The Sherlock Chronicles age. All would make him younger than Benedict Cumberbatch, born 1976.
An incorrect headstone, as seen in The Sherlock Chronicles would make sense with the fact that until The Lying Detective, John states he never knew his birthdate. Which, had his tombstone had it, would make little sense. Providing an in universe reason for this odd lack of knowledge on John’s part. Perhaps John merely guessed? Maybe Mycroft knew he wouldn’t want it known, so they put a fake date? Especially as Mycroft knew he was alive. Otherwise, this is just another plot inconsistency  --- which, I’m getting quite tired of.
We don’t know when Mary and John first met, but we can infer they’ve known each other about a year from dialogue in The Six Thatchers when John is attempting to propose.
Alternate timelines surrounding The Reichenbach Fall sometimes claim the following dates: Sherlock Testifies: May 9th, 2011; Moriarty is freed and visits 221B: September 20th, 2011; The Kidnapping: November 19th, 2011; Sherlock Falls: November 20th, 2011. This comes from a couple on screen newspaper clippings; but they are contradictory to the stated three month interval stated. It’s up to fans to decide which version they feel is more accurate.
More of a musing, but it’s kind of interesting how many times John immediately runs to the internet to share the details of really recent cases fresh in the public’s mind; in contrast to Watson’s monologue in The Abominable Bride about how careful he is to avoid doing that very thing. Which is even funnier if you view it through the long standing canon lens of John is an Unreliable Narrator
TL;DR:
SERIES ONE: January 29th, 2010 - March 29th, 2010
SERIES TWO: March 29th, 2010 - June 15th, 2011
SERIES THREE: November 2013 - December 2014
SERIES FOUR: December 2014 - January 2016
WEBISODE: October 10th, 2013
SPECIAL: December 2014

TOXIC CREW - PIMP IN DISTRESS
Overview: Pimp in Distress is a sonic gut punch that cuts to the core of what makes heavy music hit so hard. Consisting of just bass, drums, and vocals, I never found myself missing traditional instrumentation because not only is the bass tone so awesome, but the energy from the group is so palpable. What Pimp in Distress captures is the experience of a live show, but with a level of sonic clarity missing from most live productions. If you love hardcore and want to listen to a wonderfully bottled live show experience, then listen to Toxic Crew.

CHASE ANDRZEJ
- FIVE LETTERS
Overview: “Five Letters” is extremely anthemic and emotive single from singer songwriter Chase Andrzej. The narrative is a vivid depiction of pain, struggle, and ultimately triumph, and the contrast in tone between the verses and choruses do well to reinforce this imagery. Just one listen will have you belting out the chorus “I deserve love”, so do yourself a favor and give it a spin, because this song certainly deserves some love.

Wutasia is a fun homage to classic folk rock that adds new life to the genre.
Released: May 25th, 2017 Genres: Jazz fusion, Prog
COTTER CHAMPLIN - PARALLEL VERTICES
Overview: Parallel Vertices is a commanding display of musicianship. The intricate arrangements of drums, bass, and guitar are always purposeful, never complex for complexity’s sake. The smooth, clean production fits these tunes perfectly, and the end product is a smart and engaging four course meal for the ears. Cotter Champlin has curated a wonderful auditory journey which needs to experienced firsthand.
Released: June 1st, 2017 Genres: Punk, Hardcore
POOR CHOICE - SOUTH SHORE SLAUGHTER

If so, this EP is for. SOUTH SHORE SLAUGHTER is a hard hitting 5 track EP of pure energy that will have you nodding your head for its entire duration. POOR CHOICE is a misnomer, because listening to their music is a great choice.
Released: June 7th Genres: Political hip hop, Conscious rap
BOBBY SANCHEZ - THE CRISIS
Overview: The Crisis is super-charged political hip hop delivered with a great deal of conviction. Bobby Sanchez is a multi-talented writer & producer, and this 15-track work delves into important, timely social issues. The earnest vocal delivery, potent word-smithery, and creative production all elevate so that it’s not only entertainment, but functions on an intellectual level as well. The Crisis is not only a victory for DIY rap, but is a reminder that music can be a powerful vehicle for communication and social commentary.

Between the adept lyricism, creative production, varied song lineup, there's no question that Honest EP is worth your time.
Released: July 23rd, 2017 Genres: Indie rock, Bedroom
LONER SPRING - THE QUIET
Overview: “The Quiet” is everything you want a college/bedroom rock single. It evokes the best kind of melancholy, a hint of nostalgia, and a dash of sobering self study; similar to the feeling you’d get listening to a Death Cab for Cutie song. The arrangement and production fit the vibe very well, and there’s a subtle urgency throughout the song that builds through the song into a satisfying conclusion.
Released: July 29th, 2017 Genres: Synth pop, Electronic
PENTHOUSE BOYS - NEW IN TOWN
Overview: New In Town is a breath of fresh air for DIY music fans. This semi-satirical synth pop project showcases a creative narrative from the perspective of a NYC playboy of the early 90s. Not only is it an interesting premise, but the songs are undeniably fun and catchy. It's safe to say that this is one of the most unique projects released in 2017 and I can’t recommend it enough.
Released: August 6th, 2017 Genres: Garage rock, Math, Surf
ALOHA MACHINE - SOOTHOUSE
Overview: The latest Aloha Machine EP is a visceral experience which will keep the listener on their toes for the entire duration. With its driving rhythms, abstract instrumental sections, and inventive production; soothouse is necessary listening material for any garage rock fan who feels that the genre is growing stale. This release effectively features all the main ingredients needed for good folk music; engaging, vivid lyrics, accompanied by well arranged, impeccably recorded guitar parts. The emotive vocal delivery is the cherry on top of a well-constructed framework of song writing, making Sightless a must-listen for any folk music appreciator.

JOKAMUNDO - 100 REASONS
Overview: The multi-talented producer, beatsmith, and lyricist Jokamundo put out an extremely enjoyable and compelling EP with 100 Reasons. There’s a lot of variety in the production between each track, but every beat hits that head-bobbing sweet spot. The lyrics range from introspection about the struggles of the creative process, to straight clout and posturing, and at every step the delivery is smart, self-aware, and calculated. There are 100 reasons to check out this EP, just do it.
Released: August 2017 (start date) Genres: Electronic, Metawave
METRIC  TONES - DAILY RELEASES
Overview: There’s no album or EP here, but what we have here is a steady stream of daily releases which has stretched from the midpoint of 2017 to the time this blog is posted. The result is an incredibly varied collection of electronic pieces ranging from ambient soundscapes, to danceable grooves, and anywhere in between. It takes a great deal of commitment to create and release a piece of music every day, but to achieve that feat and have every release be legitimately cool and worth listening to is something else entirely. For inspiration, relaxation, or sheer curiosity, I highly recommend taking the time to listen through these tracks.
Released: September 2nd, 2017 Genres: Indie folk, Singer songwriter
TOM JOLU - WHAT YOU'RE STRIVING FOR
Overview: Tom Jolu has a way of embodying the core elements that make singer songwriters staple of music culture. The transparency of the lyrics, folk style guitar playing, and an implicit yearning in the vocal delivery make the listening experience authentic and engaging. What We’re Striving For is a short but sweet collection of songs that are a perfect soundtrack for reflection and driving around your hometown.

Released: September 22nd, 2017 Genres: Rock, Punk
FULL BODY - WHAT'S GOOD?
Overview: Full Body’s latest release is a driving force of nature from front to back. From track 1 the crunchy guitars, growling bass, heavy drums, tastefully saturated vocals, and hyper-compressed-everything grab hold of your ear drums and shake them around until the end of track 8. What’s Good? kicks real hard, and leaves you struggling to your feet wanting more.
Released: September 25th, 2017 Genres: Hard rock, Latin
ALEJO BECERRA - CALAVERA EP
Overview: Calavera’s opening track “I’m Not Leaving” is a politically charged kick in the ears, and sets the tone for the rest of the EP. Each song on this EP is a different flavor from the rock spectrum, with explorations into punk, hard rock ballads, and even some rap rock. Ultimately, if you’re looking for some solid head-banging tunes, then look no further than Calavera.
Released: October 6, 2017 Genres: Indie folk, College rock
LEE'S MANIFOLD - LEAVE A LIGHT ON
Overview: Leave a Light On places the listener in a rich and sonic space and keeps you there from start to finish. The brainchild of Liam Connors (Also of Strawberry Blonde), Lee’s Manifold employs dense acoustic-driven arrangements filled with strings, keys, electronics, and thick vocal harmonies, in addition to the traditional guitar, drums, and bass outfit. The community aspect of the recording process is is quite prevalent in the final product. This is much more than your average indie folk EP, it’s proof that the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts.

ROBOT DETECTIVE - DISCOURSE
Overview: Listening to Discourse is like going through an inter-dimensional sonic wormhole. There is a great deal happening for the ear to dissect at any given moment on any given track, and the grainy, noisey elements mixed with the djembe rhythms make for a trippy, transportive experience. If you’re looking to delve into some psychedelic, experimental electronic music, then Discourse is a great choice.

JAKE KERKAPOLY - "RABBIT'S HOLE"
Overview: If you like your music smooth, then “Rabbit’s Hole” is a song you should check out. Channeling the best parts of a Maroon 5-esque vibe, this single packs all the groove, style, and sheen you want in a pop single.
Released: November 15th, 2017 Genres: Hip-hop, Soul
BOBBY WOODY - "PHOEBE"
Overview: A single from his upcoming mixtape Cartoons Are For Kids, Bobby Woody has graced us with a very friendly, groovy invitation into his sound with “Phoebe”. The production value is very high with the beat being comprised mostly of acoustic instruments. For these reasons listening to “Phoebe” feels like more than simply listening to a Bobby Woody single; it feels like all the community and energy of a live show has been packed into your bedroom.
Released: November 15th, 2017 Genres: Indie folk, Singer songwriter
CIARRA FRAGALE - ON YOUR MIND / MY HAIR'S GROWN LONGER
Overview: This double from Ciarra Fragale is an exposition of adept indie pop song writing carried by strong vocal performance and catchy melodies. The vocal lines in “On Your Mind” are strong enough to grab onto and swing around, and the layers of harmonies seem to smoothly glide across your ears. If you like pop folk, you’ll want to give this double a spin.
Released: November 18th, 2017 Genres: Blues rock, Garage
JULEZ - BACK TO FIRST STREET
Overview: If hard-hitting, driving blues-inspired rock music is something you want, then you can get it here with Back to First Street. The production is somehow simultaneously clean and dirty; and it has all the grit you’d expect, but is smooth enough so that it doesn’t wear on the ears. The record as a whole is a reassurance that dynamic, interesting rock music is alive and well in the indie world and is a must-listen for any lover of the genre.
Released: November 23, 2017 Genres: Indie rock, Folk
CITIZEN SERENADE - "PREMONITION"
Overview: “Premonition” offers a unique listening experience in both production and form. If you’re sick of the usual pop-song structure then you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that this song has no distinct repeating repeating sections to speak of. That combined with driving acoustic guitars, swirling textures, and an interesting percussion groove makes this single from Citizen Serenade a solid listen.
Released: November 2017 Genres: Rap, Hip-hop
DOMCO - FOURTEEN
Overview: FOURTEEN is an impressive release that demands full attention from the listener. There’s a good variety to this record and each track hits hard for different reasons. Whether it’s from the beat, of the intense vocals, the political message, or because of relatable interpersonal struggles, DomCo gives the listener a lot of reasons to engage with FOURTEEN.
Released: December 10th, 2017 Genres: Bedroom, Slacker rock
EVAN LIU - FKDJ
Overview: If the nonchalant title of fkdj doesn't tell you all you need to know; this is a record for slackers. The loose production, the quiet delivery of the vocals, and dark tone of the guitar parts deliver a perfect soundtrack for when you want to do nothing but lay around in your room. To me there a bit of an “X” factor here that’s hard to explicitly sell, so in order to properly appreciate this record it’s best to give it a listen at 3am, in the dark, avoiding your responsibilities.
Released: August 11th, 2017 Genres: Art rap, Glitch hop
MILO - WHO TOLD YOU TO THINK??!!?!?!?!
Overview: You don't need us to tell you why this record is good, and even if we tried we couldn't sum it up in a blurb. There are seldom few artists who better exhibit the way in which an independent artist should best conduct themselves creatively, commercially, and ideologically in today’s environment. Milo’s latest release embodies this fact, and that is why who told you to think ??!!?!?!?! is TFTV’s Official Best 2017 Record.

[ LOADING INFORMATION ON HONEY’S LEAD VOCAL ROXIE…. ]
DETAILS
CURRENT AGE: 32 DEBUT AGE: 27 TRAINEE SINCE AGE: 22  SKILL POINTS: 10 PERFORMANCE | 15 VOCAL | 10 DANCE | 00 RAP SECONDARY SKILLS: Multilingual
INTERVIEW
her debuting was a shock. usually, those who debut outside the average range are young, energetic, and talented. hanmi checked only two of those boxes, missing the most important factor. being young. it seemed almost as if msg had debuted her for no reason. despite being the lead vocal, her vocal talents seemed to lack.
after honey appeared on their first reality show, her image was made clear. she was motherly, pure and sweet. she was always caring for her members. despite being twenty-eight, hanmi fit the youthful concepts surprisingly well. she doesn’t look her age, which adds to the shock factor and gains honey attention.
due to this, she has significantly less fans due to her almost being old enough to retire. however, having only debuted four years ago, hanmi has no plans of retiring soon. she’s the kind mother of honey with a set of sweet vocals that compliment honey’s concept well.
anti-fans have, however, noticed how overly motherly she can be. she smothers the other members with skinship and often speaks over the other girls, bossing them around. anti-fans are quick to jump on the hanmi hate train, saying she’s going to get old and wrinkly before her group takes off internationally.
she can’t help it. it’s what’s expected of her. she naturally feels a sense of caring towards her younger members, but since a young age, she’s been made to feel as if she’s responsible for everyone around her. hanmi has to be in control.
despite the pressure from anti-fans and fans alike to change things about her, hanmi remains in the carefully sculpted mold msg has made for her. she feels herself crumbling, the pressure is getting to her. she’s worried, but there’s nothing she can do. she’s become a passenger in her life, her company becoming the driver. hanmi remains hopeful, people would kill for her lifestyle. they don’t know the dark side, though. no one does. it’s lonely being the only one who knows. she’s used to it, though. she’d crash and burn if she was the driver of her life.
BIOGRAPHY
october 2nd 1991.
“at five years old, our daughter kim hanmi can speak korean and english. she’s learning german, spanish, and japanese. show them, sweetheart.”
she slid down in her chair. five year old hanmi hated meetings like these. from a young age, she’d been learning languages, her parents trying their hardest to make her seem like a prodigy. they tried to get her into higher grades than she actually was in. no one believed her parents, thankfully. she wasn’t what they wanted her to be, she hated every second she was forced to spend reviewing english vocabulary or the japanese alphabet.
“hello, my name is hanmi kim. i’m five years old and my favorite animal is a monkey because they go ‘ooh oohh ahh!’”
she watched the expression on the administrators faces. they were only slightly impressed. her eyes moved to her parents, her mom looked at her dad with a worried look. “hanmi, can you tell me what you want to be when you grow up?” her father asked, emphasizing the fact he spoke english.
“i want to be a singer. singing is my favorite thing to do, not learning languages. it’s boring to learn languages!” she hissed quietly, pushing herself out of the chair and running out of the room. her parents were going to be pissed, she was scared of them but didn’t regret saying what she had.
august 31st 1996.
the lights shown bright down on ten year old hanmi. she loved being on the stage.
“i’m kim hanmi, i’m ten years old and i can speak korean, english, german, spanish, and japanese.”
no one was impressed as she was still speaking korean. she smirked, knowing all the kids at her school and their parents would regret ignoring her talent.
“i’ll be singing my favorite songs in each language i know.”
people’s energy shifted. she knew she was about to take home the grand prize, her parents would praise her then.
she began to sing her favorite english song, it’s all coming back to me by celine dion. the crowd clapped after she finished her bars. her dad was notoriously bad at korean. he’d been raised in vancouver, but moved all the way to seoul for her mom.
“el siguiente es mi canción favorito en español, sin excusas ni rodeos la carretera por julio iglesias.”
people were shocked to hear her speak such fluent spanish. she sang the song and followed with the rest of the languages. after finishing her performance, she sat down backstage. she let out a huge sigh of relief. everyone knew with her simple preformance, she outshowed everyone else.
december 25th 2001.
“wow, thanks, appa.”
her voice wasn’t fooling anyone, nor was the forced smile on her face. she’d gotten one present on christmas. a french 1 textbook. fifteen year old hanmi tucked her long hair behind her ear, setting the book on the ground.
“how many times have we told you that you can be a singer when you finish college, hanmi-ah?” her father asked.
“i lost count at twenty-eight.” she admitted with a frown. “appa, you know singing is what i want to do. the routine of singing songs in different languages is old! i want to be a singer! i don’t care if i have to go to america, germany, spain, or japan! we all know i’m talented in singing, not learning languages!”
tears welled in her eyes. “this isn’t up for discussion, hanmi,” her dad said, slamming his hand down on their kitchen counter. “go to your room and don’t come out till you can hold a basic conversation in french.”
she let out a large sigh, wiping her tears with the back of her hands. she grabbed the textbook and stormed out of the living room. “i hate this family!” she yelled before slamming her door.
february 1st 2005.
she smiled and held her bouquet of flowers. the flash of cameras went off, she huddled close to her friends. her dreams of being a singer had seemed to fade away. she was graduating from high school. she’d gotten a full ride to her dream college because of her talent with languages.
“hanmi, i’m so proud of you.” she laughed as her dad ruffled her hair. “appa, stop it!” hanmi laughed. “you’d make your mother very proud.” he said. she nodded. “she’s sick, appa. not dead, you know it.”
her father nodded. his smile faded.
“hanmi, we need to talk later. about your mom.”
march 12th 2007.
“my mother was a very kind and supportive woman. she told me to be happy, to embrace everything in life, to not take things for granted. i’m very thankful to have been her daughter, but i’m afraid…”
she held back tears, squeezing her eyes closed. they spilled over, sliding down her cheeks slowly.
“i’m afraid i took one thing for granted. my time with her. but being the woman she was, she’d tell me to not worry about it. that she’d always be with me. that’s what i’d like to tell you all, she’ll always be with us. keeping us warm in the winter, refreshed in the summer.”
music helped hanmi during her time of loss. she spent her time singing instead of studying for her tests. she’d rekindled her love for singing, knowing it was the thing she was destined to do. she was meant to sing, to bless people with her voice. no one should take it for granted.
june 13th 2008.
“hello, i’m twenty-two year old kim hanmi from seoul, south korea.”
she bowed, introducing herself to the panel of people in front of her. her heart was beating so fast she was sure the people could hear it.
“today i’ll be singing sin excusas ni rodeos la carretera by julio iglesias.”
one of the executives looked up and nudged the other next to him. she began singing in spanish, the third executive looking up and writing something down. they were whispering to each other and nodding.
“stop.”
she stopped.
“we’d love to see more of you. your voice is unique and strong, but with our training, it will become stronger. we’ll be in touch.”
she bowed and thanked them over and over. after giving them the information they needed, she rushed out and squealed, running into the arms of her best friends.
“i take it’s a yes?” her friend jiyoung asked. hanmi nodded furiously. “best birthday ever!!” hanmi said, laughing and looking at her friends.
october 19th 2013.
she was twenty-seven. time had passed, she’d gotten old. the other trainees were all at least five years younger. no one wanted to hang out with her. she was old, hopeless, she’d lost her window.
the executives had called a meeting with her and four other girls. she didn’t know what to expect, she’d seen people get kicked out during meetings like these.
hanmi sat in the waiting room, fiddling with her shirt. her dad was mad she was still a trainee and not allowed to date, all of her friends were married, so why wasn’t she?
“hanmi, they’re ready for you.” the receptionist informed her with a smile. “i think you’re finally debuting.” she whispered.
hanmi’s heart started racing as she sat down in the conference room. the other girls slowly but surely trickled in.
“after observing your skills for years, we’ve decided to pick the best of the best. we’d love for you five to debut in our next girl group, honey.”
hanmi smiled and laughed, cupping her hands over her mouth. she held back tears. “i don’t care, i’ll sign whatever contract you need.”
the executives laughed and so did everyone else. the day was here.
may 29th 2015.
it had been exactly a year since she’d debuted as honey’s lead vocal. she had fans, little to no scandals, honey was gaining popularity. things seemed to finally be looking up for hanmi.
“thank you for watching our one year live stream, we hope you keep supporting honey!”
the members looked to hanmi. it was her turn to thank the international fans in english.
“to our lovely international bumblebees, we hope you know that we still love you just as much as korean bumblebees and no matter how far apart we are, you’re always in our hearts!”
the live ended and she sighed happily. what an amazing year it had been.
present day 2018.
hanmi has remained relatively clean in the department of scandals. she’s very worried about how the executives see her due to the fact she’s the member with the most hate because she’s in her thirties.
hanmi fits her designated mother roll well, but is getting antsy for change.
she wonders what life would have been like if she’d just followed the path her father wished for her.
would she be happy or unhappy?
she’s surviving. her dreams of having a family now seem impossible as she’s getting older.
she’ll be okay.

Hi! I just recently got into the 2.5D fandom and I really really would like to watch the Touken Ranbu Musicals because I’ve loved the franchise since the game came out. But I can’t buy the CD’s of the play cause they don’t ship to my country. Is there anyway I could watch a subbed version of the plays?
Hi! Yes there is a way to watch them subbed! You can either make a Tumblr account and you can download some of them from us! (As we don’t give out private links to anonymous people) AND/OR you can make a LiveJournal account and join (as all of the download links are member locked) the Tenimyutopia Community as there is a masterpost of all of the musicals! But one of the links no longer works since the user took down their copy.
I can make a masterpost here for you so then you know who is sharing what and what is available on Tumblr and in the Tenimyutopia community! And since you’ve asked for the musicals specifically I will just do them because I can add in the Touken Ranbu Stage Plays (Tousute) in the future if need be!
PLEASE READ THE RULES FOR THE RESPECTIVE DOWNLOAD POSTS BEFORE ASKING THE UPLOADERS! PLEASE ALSO RESPECT AND FOLLOW THEIR RULES!

I want to preface this by saying I’ve had some really awesome things happen this month and I’m doing just fine mentally and I’m honestly more amused than anything at this point because you have to laugh b u t a medical timeline of the month so far may explain some things.  Medical/TMI under cut, the tl;dr is holy shit is it ever Fandomversary Month, I feel entirely reconnected with Woundson.  Also if I’ve had any contact with you or posted anything between March 13 to the 26th-ish that seemed really bizarre and/or offputting I am extremely sorry I was apparently super fucked up on pain meds but not realizing it.
a n y w a y
March 7th: Have intense jaw ache, attribute it to tension headache.
March 8th: Intense jaw ache continues, attribute it to TMJ.
March 9th: Jaw ache has developed into swelling. Figure it must be a tooth at this point, call dentist; it’s the weekend but dentist is awesome and sends in an antibiotic scrip when I describe symptoms and fits me in first thing Tuesday (they’re closed Mondays).
March 10-12th: Continued treatment of pain and swelling with Aleve; unable to close mouth fully so @qglas is shredding chicken into tiny chunks so I can lizard-chaw it down but teeth do this right??
March 13th: Walk into dentist’s office, get stared at in horror.  Apparently teeth do not “do that”.  Quickly get probable diagnosis of salivary gland infection/salivary duct clog and sent to Urgent Care.  Diagnosis confirmed, put on two heavy-duty antibotics, a steroid, and hydrocodone.  Will realize later that attending physician’s comment of “These things can get way out of hand” was not a caution to take my meds but instead a comment on how incredibly fucked up the left side of my face is.  Will also realize later that “can get up to about a 7″ was grossly under-reporting pain.
TIME?????: Insert ten days of prescription side effects and infection causing me to trip balls, denial/lack of understanding that I am tripping balls, lingering symptoms, and standard antibiotic side effects all combining to effectively recreate Allie Brosh’s “Texas” story down to the “I would shank an infant for juice” part but without any actual life-threatening danger.  Highlights: Complete loss of internal ability to tell time, turning into a series of shapes repeatedly, loss of ability to determine if something is very small or just far away, internal auditory hallucinations including a small voice saying “yeah!” in a peppy tone over and over.  Somewhere in here I get a yeast infection as a secondary symptom from the antibiotics.
March 23rd: Finish run of medication and realize I have been out of my goddamned gourd for nearly two weeks, but at least I’m finally over it, and the salivary gland infection has been taken care of.  Plan to pick up treatment for the yeast infection the next day.
March 24th: It fucking snows, meaning I don’t have time to pick up Monistat before going to a rock and gem show with my family.  In a fit of social anxiety paranoia over the idea of forgetting myself and scratching in public (and also stupidity), I figure I’ll self-treat the itching with Vitamin E oil.  Because this is INTENSELY FUCKING STUPID, I have now managed to self-inflict hives over my entire upper body and legs because as good as I am at freaking out, my allergies are better at it.
March 25th (night): Finally get to go to the hecking store, pick up Monistat and also topical ointment for the hives.  Head home feeling good about finally having the situation on lock.  Trip over a curb onto pavement, skin my knee, rip my bag, and more or less erase the skin on my palm.
March 26th (early morning): Sit on the edge of the bathtub for a solid 10-15 minutes after finishing debriding and washing my hand just laughing intermittently because at this point I can’t tell if God is angry or if I’m an angry god but I am somehow still genuinely grateful things are not worse and also really what are you gonna do
Tumblr media
I want to reiterate, I’m doing really well.  The rock show was great, I got to pet three (3!) tiny (TINY!) puppies and CARRY ONE AROUND IN A SLING DURING, I scored an amazing fossilized skull fragment for fivebux, and I even managed to snag literally the last ticket to Weird Al’s show in May which is like enough good fortune in a single moment that I could understand everything else as a balancer.  Just, like, basically...honestly sometimes reaction shots don’t cut it, here’s the Big Fucking Mood of the month:
youtube
I feel so innately connected with all my characters right now, it’s almost sad how the acute reminder that I am a ridiculous hot mess of flesh wounds and bad ideas 70% of the time is also 70% of the explanation of my Types
anyway here’s Woundsonwall I’m going to spend the next five days moving around the house very carefully and hoping I don’t open the mailbox and get bitten by a black mamba or something.   I’m doing my best to catch up on shit I missed, sorry if I passed you by but I reckon I’ve been a mite distracted.

• KMS Bismarck
Bismarck was the first of two Bismarck-class battleships built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine. Named after Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, the ship was laid down at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg in July 1936 and launched in February 1939.
The two Bismarck-class battleships were designed in the mid-1930s by the German Kriegsmarine as a counter to French naval expansion, specifically the two Richelieu-class battleships France had started in 1935. Laid down after the signing of the Anglo-German Naval Agreement of 1935, Bismarck and her sister Tirpitz were nominally within the 35,000-long-ton (36,000 t) limit imposed by the Washington regime that governed battleship construction in the interwar period. The ships secretly exceeded the figure by a wide margin, though before either vessel was completed, the international treaty system had fallen apart following Japan's withdrawal in 1937, allowing signatories to invoke an "escalator clause" that permitted displacements.
Bismarck displaced 41,700 t (41,000 long tons) as built and 50,300 t (49,500 long tons) fully loaded, with an overall length of 251 m (823 ft 6 in), a beam of 36 m (118 ft 1 in) and a maximum draft of 9.9 m (32 ft 6 in). The battleship was Germany's largest warship, and displaced more than any other European battleship, with the exception of HMS Vanguard, commissioned after the end of the war. Bismarck was powered by three Blohm & Voss geared steam turbines and twelve oil-fired Wagner superheated boilers, which developed a total of 148,116 shp (110,450 kW) and yielded a maximum speed of 30.01 knots (55.58 km/h; 34.53 mph) on speed trials. Bismarck was equipped with three FuMO 23 search radar sets, mounted on the forward and stern rangefinders and foretop. The standard crew numbered 103 officers and 1,962 enlisted men.[7] The crew was divided into twelve divisions of between 180 and 220 men. The first six divisions were assigned to the ship's armament, divisions one to four for the main and secondary batteries and five and six manning anti-aircraft guns. The seventh division consisted of specialists, including cooks and carpenters, and the eighth division consisted of ammunition handlers. The radio operators, signalmen, and quartermasters were assigned to the ninth division. The last three divisions were the engine room personnel. When Bismarck left port, fleet staff, prize crews, and war correspondents increased the crew complement to over 2,200 men.
Bismarck was armed with eight 38 cm (15 in) SK C/34 guns arranged in four twin gun turrets: two super-firing turrets forward "Anton" and "Bruno" and two aft "Caesar" and "Dora". Secondary armament consisted of twelve 15 cm (5.9 in) L/55 guns, sixteen 10.5 cm (4.1 in) L/65 and sixteen 3.7 cm (1.5 in) L/83, and twelve 2 cm (0.79 in) anti-aircraft guns. Bismarck also carried four Arado Ar 196 reconnaissance floatplanes in a double hangar amidships and two single hangars abreast the funnel, with a double-ended thwartship catapult. The ship's main belt was 320 mm (12.6 in) thick and was covered by a pair of upper and main armoured decks that were 50 mm (2 in) and 100 to 120 mm (3.9 to 4.7 in) thick, respectively. The 38 cm (15 in) turrets were protected by 360 mm (14.2 in) thick faces and 220 mm (8.7 in) thick sides.
Bismarck was ordered under the name Ersatz Hannover ("Hannover replacement"), a replacement for the old pre-dreadnought SMS Hannover. The contract was awarded to the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg, where the keel was laid on July 1st, 1936 at Helgen IX. The ship was launched on February 14th, 1939 and during the elaborate ceremonies was christened by Dorothee von Löwenfeld, granddaughter of Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, the ship's namesake. Adolf Hitler made the christening speech. Bismarck was commissioned into the fleet on August 24th, 1940 for sea trials, which were conducted in the Baltic. Kapitän zur See Ernst Lindemann took command of the ship at the time of commissioning. On September 15th, 1940, three weeks after commissioning, Bismarck left Hamburg to begin sea trials in Kiel Bay. Sperrbrecher 13 escorted the ship to Arcona on September 28th, and then on to Gotenhafen for trials in the Gulf of Danzig. The ship's power-plant was given a thorough workout; Bismarck made measured-mile and high speed runs. As the ship's stability and manoeuvrability were being tested, a flaw in her design was discovered. When attempting to steer the ship solely through altering propeller revolutions, the crew learned that Bismarck could be kept on course only with great difficulty. Even with the outboard screws running at full power in opposite directions, they generated only a slight turning ability. Bismarck's main battery guns were first test-fired in late November. The tests proved she was a very stable gun platform. Trials lasted until December; Bismarck returned to Hamburg, arriving on the 9th, for minor alterations and the completion of the fitting-out process.
The ship was scheduled to return to Kiel on January 24th, 1941, but a merchant vessel had been sunk in the Kiel Canal and prevented use of the waterway. Severe weather hampered efforts to remove the wreck, and Bismarck was not able to reach Kiel until March. While waiting to reach Kiel, Bismarck hosted Captain Anders Forshell, the Swedish naval attaché to Berlin. He returned to Sweden with a detailed description of the ship, which was subsequently leaked to Britain by pro-British elements in the Swedish Navy. The information provided the Royal Navy with its first full description of the vessel, although it lacked important facts, including top speed, radius of action, and displacement. At 08:45 on March 8th, Bismarck briefly ran aground on the southern shore of the Kiel Canal; she was freed within an hour. The ship reached Kiel the following day, where her crew stocked ammunition, fuel, and other supplies and applied a coat of dazzle paint to camouflage her. British bombers attacked the harbour without success on the 12th.
The Naval High Command (Oberkommando der Marine or OKM), commanded by Admiral Erich Raeder, intended to continue the practice of using heavy ships as surface raiders against Allied merchant traffic in the Atlantic Ocean. The two Scharnhorst-class battleships were based in Brest, France, at the time, having just completed Operation Berlin, a major raid into the Atlantic. Bismarck's sister ship Tirpitz rapidly approached completion. Bismarck and Tirpitz were to sortie from the Baltic and rendezvous with the two Scharnhorst-class ships in the Atlantic; the operation was initially scheduled for around April 25th, 1941. Admiral Günther Lütjens, Flottenchef (Fleet Chief) of the Kriegsmarine, chosen to lead the operation, wished to delay the operation at least until either Scharnhorst or Tirpitz became available, but the OKM decided to proceed with the operation, codenamed Operation Rheinübung, with a force consisting of only Bismarck and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. At a final meeting with Raeder in Paris on April 26th, Lütjens was encouraged by his commander-in-chief to proceed and he eventually decided that an operation should begin as soon as possible.
On May 5th, 1941, Hitler and Wilhelm Keitel, with a large entourage, arrived to view Bismarck and Tirpitz in Gotenhafen. The men were given an extensive tour of the ships, after which Hitler met with Lütjens to discuss the upcoming mission. On May 16th, Lütjens reported that Bismarck and Prinz Eugen were fully prepared for Operation Rheinübung; he was therefore ordered to proceed with the mission on the evening of the 19th. As part of the operational plans, a group of eighteen supply ships would be positioned to support Bismarck and Prinz Eugen. Four U-boats would be placed along the convoy routes between Halifax and Britain to scout for the raiders. By the start of the operation, Bismarck's crew had increased to 2,221 officers and enlisted men. This included an admiral's staff of nearly 65 and a prize crew of 80 sailors, who could be used to crew transports captured during the mission. At 02:00 on May 19th, Bismarck departed Gotenhafen and made for the Danish straits. The Luftwaffe provided air cover during the voyage out of German waters. At around noon on May 20th, Lindemann informed the ship's crew via loudspeaker of the ship's mission. At approximately the same time, a group of ten or twelve Swedish aircraft flying reconnaissance encountered the German force and reported its composition and heading, though the Germans did not see the Swedes. Code-breakers at Bletchley Park had confirmed that an Atlantic raid was imminent, as they had decrypted reports that Bismarck and Prinz Eugen had taken on prize crews and requested additional navigational charts from headquarters. A pair of Supermarine Spitfires was ordered to search the Norwegian coast for the flotilla.
German aerial reconnaissance confirmed that one aircraft carrier, three battleships, and four cruisers remained at anchor in the main British naval base at Scapa Flow, which confirmed to Lütjens that the British were unaware of his operation. On the evening of May 20th, Bismarck and the rest of the flotilla reached the Norwegian coast. The following morning, radio-intercept officers on board Prinz Eugen picked up a signal ordering British reconnaissance aircraft to search for two battleships and three destroyers northbound off the Norwegian coast. At 7:00 on the 21st, the Germans spotted four unidentified aircraft, which quickly departed. When Bismarck was in Norway, a pair of Bf 109 fighters circled overhead to protect her from British air attacks, but a Spitfire was able to fly directly over the German flotilla at a height of 8,000 m (26,000 ft) and take photos of Bismarck and her escorts. Upon receipt of the information, Admiral John Tovey ordered the battlecruiser HMS Hood, the newly commissioned battleship HMS Prince of Wales, and six destroyers to reinforce the pair of cruisers patrolling the Denmark Strait. The rest of the Home Fleet was placed on high alert in Scapa Flow. Bismarck did not replenish her fuel stores in Norway, as her operational orders did not require her to do so. She had left port 200 t (200 long tons) short of a full load, and had since expended another 1,000 t (980 long tons) on the voyage. At midnight, when the force was in the open sea, heading towards the Arctic Ocean, Raeder disclosed the operation to Hitler, who reluctantly consented to the raid. The three escorting destroyers were detached at 04:14 on May 22nd, while the force steamed off Trondheim. At around 12:00, Lütjens ordered his two ships to turn toward the Denmark Strait to attempt the break-out into the open Atlantic. Upon entering the Strait, both ships activated their FuMO radar detection equipment sets. Around 12:00, the pair had reached a point north of Iceland. Prinz Eugen's radio-intercept team decrypted the radio signals being sent by Suffolk and learned that their location had been reported.
Lütjens gave permission for Prinz Eugen to engage Suffolk, but the captain of the German cruiser could not clearly make out his target and so held fire. Suffolk quickly retreated to a safe distance and shadowed the German ships. At 20:30, the heavy cruiser HMS Norfolk joined Suffolk, but approached the German raiders too closely. Lütjens ordered his ships to engage the British cruiser; Bismarck fired five salvoes, three of which straddled Norfolk and rained shell splinters on her decks. The cruiser laid a smoke screen and fled into a fog bank, ending the brief engagement. At 05:07, hydrophone operators aboard Prinz Eugen detected a pair of unidentified vessels approaching the German formation at a range of 20 nmi (37 km; 23 mi). At 05:45 on May 24th, German lookouts spotted smoke on the horizon; this turned out to be from Hood and Prince of Wales, under the command of Vice Admiral Lancelot Holland. Lütjens ordered his ships' crews to battle stations. By 05:52, the range had fallen to 26,000 m (28,000 yd) and Hood opened fire, followed by Prince of Wales a minute later. Hood engaged Prinz Eugen, which the British thought to be Bismarck, while Prince of Wales fired on Bismarck.
The British ships approached the German ships head on, which permitted them to use only their forward guns; Bismarck and Prinz Eugen could fire full broadsides. Several minutes after opening fire, Holland ordered a 20° turn to port, which would allow his ships to engage with their rear gun turrets. Both German ships concentrated their fire on Hood. Prinz Eugen scored a hit with a high-explosive 20.3 cm (8.0 in) shell; the explosion detonated unrotated projectile ammunition and started a large fire, which was quickly extinguished. Lütjens ordered Prinz Eugen to shift fire and target Prince of Wales, to keep both of his opponents under fire. Within a few minutes, Prinz Eugen scored a pair of hits on the battleship that started a small fire. Lütjens then ordered Prinz Eugen to drop behind Bismarck, so she could continue to monitor the location of Norfolk and Suffolk, which were still 10 to 12 nmi (19 to 22 km; 12 to 14 mi) to the east. At 06:00, Hood was completing the second turn to port when Bismarck's fifth salvo hit. Two of the shells landed short, striking the water close to the ship, but at least one of the 38 cm armour-piercing shells struck Hood and penetrated her thin deck armour. The shell reached Hood's rear ammunition magazine and detonated 112 t (110 long tons) of cordite propellant. The massive explosion broke the back of the ship between the main mast and the rear funnel; the forward section continued to move forward briefly before the in-rushing water caused the bow to rise into the air at a steep angle. The stern also rose as water rushed into the ripped-open compartments. In only eight minutes of firing, Hood had disappeared, taking all but three of her crew of 1,419 men with her. Bismarck then shifted fire to Prince of Wales. The British battleship scored a hit on Bismarck with her sixth salvo, but the German ship found her mark with her first salvo. One of the shells struck the bridge on Prince of Wales, though it did not explode and instead exited the other side, killing everyone in the ship's command centre, save Captain John Leach, the ship's commanding officer, and one other. The two German ships continued to fire upon Prince of Wales, causing serious damage. Guns malfunctioned on the recently commissioned British ship, which still had civilian technicians aboard. Prince of Wales scored three hits on Bismarck in the engagement. The first struck her in the forecastle above the waterline but low enough to allow the crashing waves to enter the hull. The second shell struck below the armoured belt and exploded on contact with the torpedo bulkhead, completely flooding a turbo-generator room and partially flooding an adjacent boiler room. The third shell passed through one of the boats carried aboard the ship and then went through the floatplane catapult without exploding.
At 06:13, Prince of Wales made a 160° turn and laid a smoke screen to cover her withdrawal. The Germans ceased fire as the range widened. Lütjens obeyed operational orders to shun any avoidable engagement with enemy forces that were not protecting a convoy, and the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen headed for the North Atlantic. In the engagement, Bismarck had fired 93 armour-piercing shells and had been hit by three shells in return. After the engagement, Lütjens reported, "Battlecruiser, probably Hood, sunk. Another battleship, King George V or Renown, turned away damaged. Two heavy cruisers maintain contact." At 08:01, he transmitted a damage report and his intentions to OKM, which were to detach Prinz Eugen for commerce raiding and to make for Saint-Nazaire for repairs. Prime Minister Winston Churchill ordered all warships in the area to join the pursuit of Bismarck and Prinz Eugen. Tovey's Home Fleet was steaming to intercept the German raiders, but on the morning of May 24th was still over 350 nmi (650 km; 400 mi) away. The Admiralty ordered the light cruisers Manchester, Birmingham, and Arethusa to patrol the Denmark Strait in the event that Lütjens attempted to retrace his route. In all, six battleships and battlecruisers, two aircraft carriers, thirteen cruisers, and twenty-one destroyers were committed to the chase. With the weather worsening, Lütjens attempted to detach Prinz Eugen at 16:40. The cruiser was successfully detached at 18:14. Seeing Bismarck, Prince of Wales fired twelve salvos at Bismarck, which responded with nine salvos, none of which hit. The action diverted British attention and permitted Prinz Eugen to slip away. Although Bismarck had been damaged in the engagement and forced to reduce speed, she was still capable of reaching 27 to 28 knots (50 to 52 km/h; 31 to 32 mph), the maximum speed of Tovey's King George V. Unless Bismarck could be slowed, the British would be unable to prevent her from reaching Saint-Nazaire. Shortly before 16:00 on May 25th, Tovey detached the aircraft carrier Victorious and four light cruisers to shape a course. At 22:00, Victorious launched the strike, which comprised six Fairey Fulmar fighters and nine Fairey Swordfish torpedo bombers. Bismarck also used her main and secondary batteries to fire at maximum depression to create giant splashes in the paths of the incoming torpedo bombers. None of the attacking aircraft were shot down. Bismarck evaded eight of the torpedoes launched at her, but the ninth struck amidships on the main armoured belt, throwing one man into a bulkhead and killing him and injuring five others. The explosion also caused minor damage to electrical equipment. The ship suffered more serious damage from manoeuvres to evade the torpedoes: rapid shifts in speed and course loosened collision mats, which increased the flooding from the forward shell hole and eventually forced abandonment of the port number 2 boiler room. This loss of a second boiler, combined with fuel losses and increasing bow trim, forced the ship to slow to 16 knots (30 km/h; 18 mph).
Shortly after the Swordfish departed from the scene, Bismarck and Prince of Wales engaged in a brief artillery duel. Neither scored a hit. Bismarck's damage control teams resumed work after the short engagement. The sea water that had flooded the number 2 port side boiler threatened to enter the number 4 turbo-generator feedwater system, which would have permitted saltwater to reach the turbines. The saltwater would have damaged the turbine blades and thus greatly reduced the ship's speed. By morning, the danger had passed. As the chase entered open waters, British ships were compelled to zig-zag to avoid German U-boats that might be in the area. At 03:00 on May 25th, Lütjens ordered an increase to maximum speed, which at this point was 28 knots (52 km/h; 32 mph). He then ordered the ship to circle away to the west and then north. This manoeuvre coincided with the period during which his ship was out of radar range; Bismarck successfully broke radar contact and circled back behind her pursuers. The Royal Navy search became frantic, as many of the British ships were low on fuel. Victorious and her escorting cruisers were sent west, other British ships continued to the south and west, and Tovey continued to steam toward the mid-Atlantic. British code-breakers were able to decrypt some of the German signals, including an order to the Luftwaffe to provide support for Bismarck making for Brest. Tovey could now turn his forces toward France to converge in areas through which Bismarck would have to pass. Victorious, Prince of Wales, Suffolk and Repulse were forced to break off the search due to fuel shortage; the only heavy ships remaining apart from Force H were King George V and Rodney, but they were too distant.
HMS Ark Royal's Swordfish were already searching nearby when the Bismarck was found. Several torpedo bombers also located the battleship, about 60 nmi (110 km; 69 mi) away from Ark Royal. Somerville ordered an attack as soon as the Swordfish returned and were rearmed with torpedoes. As a result, the Swordfish, which were armed with torpedoes equipped with new magnetic detonators. Upon returning to Ark Royal, the Swordfish loaded torpedoes equipped with contact detonators. The attack comprised fifteen aircraft and was launched at 19:10. At 20:47, the torpedo bombers began their attack descent through the clouds. The Swordfish then attacked; Bismarck began to turn violently as her anti-aircraft batteries engaged the bombers. One torpedo hit amidships on the port side, just below the bottom edge of the main armour belt. The force of the explosion was largely contained by the underwater protection system and the belt armour but some structural damage caused minor flooding. The second torpedo struck Bismarck in her stern on the port side, near the port rudder shaft. The coupling on the port rudder assembly was badly damaged and the rudder became locked in a 12° turn to port. The explosion also caused much shock damage. The crew eventually managed to repair the starboard rudder but the port rudder remained jammed. With the port rudder jammed, Bismarck was now steaming in a large circle, unable to escape from Tovey's forces. Though fuel shortages had reduced the number of ships available to the British, the battleships King George V and Rodney were still available, along with the heavy cruisers Dorsetshire and Norfolk. Lütjens signalled headquarters at 21:40 on the 26th: "Ship unmanoeuvrable. We will fight to the last shell. Long live the Führer." As darkness fell, Bismarck briefly fired on Sheffield, though the cruiser quickly fled. Sheffield lost contact in the low visibility and Captain Philip Vian's group of five destroyers was ordered to keep contact with Bismarck through the night. The ships encountered Bismarck at 22:38; the battleship quickly engaged them with her main battery. After firing three salvos, she straddled the Polish destroyer ORP Piorun. The destroyer continued to close the range until a near miss at around 12,000 m (39,000 ft) forced her to turn away. Between 05:00 and 06:00, Bismarck's crew attempted to launch one of the Arado 196 float planes to carry away the ship's war diary, footage of the engagement with Hood, and other important documents. As it was not possible to launch the aircraft, it had become a fire hazard, and was pushed overboard.
After daybreak on May 27th, King George V led the attack. Rodney followed off her port quarter; Tovey intended to steam directly at Bismarck until he was about 8 nmi (15 km; 9.2 mi) away. At 08:43, lookouts on King George V spotted her, some 23,000 m (25,000 yd) away. Four minutes later, Rodney's two forward turrets, comprising six 16 in (406 mm) guns, opened fire, then King George V's 14 in (356 mm) guns began firing. Bismarck returned fire at 08:50 with her forward guns; with her second salvo, she straddled Rodney. Thereafter, Bismarck's ability to aim her guns deteriorated as the ship, unable to steer, moved erratically in the heavy seas. As the range fell, the ships' secondary batteries joined the battle. Norfolk and Dorsetshire closed and began firing with their 8 in (203 mm) guns. At 09:02, a 16-inch shell from Rodney struck Bismarck's forward superstructure, killing hundreds of men and severely damaging the two forward turrets. According to survivors, this salvo probably killed Lütjens and the rest of the bridge staff. A second shell from this salvo struck the forward main battery, which was disabled, though it would manage to fire one last salvo at 09:27. Lieutenant von Müllenheim-Rechberg, in the rear control station, took over firing control for the rear turrets. He managed to fire three salvos before a shell destroyed the gun director, disabling his equipment. He gave the order for the guns to fire independently, but by 09:31, all four main battery turrets had been put out of action. One of Bismarck's shells exploded 20 feet off Rodney's bow and damaged her starboard torpedo tube—the closest Bismarck came to a direct hit on her opponents. With the bridge personnel no longer responding, the executive officer CDR Hans Oels took command of the ship from his station at the Damage Control Central. He decided at around 09:30 to abandon and scuttle the ship to prevent Bismarck being boarded by the British, and to allow the crew to abandon ship so as to reduce casualties. Gerhard Junack, the chief engineering officer, ordered his men to set the demolition charges with a 9-minute fuse but the intercom system broke down and he sent a messenger to confirm the order to scuttle the ship. The messenger never returned, so Junack primed the charges and ordered his men to abandon ship. By 10:00, Tovey's two battleships had fired over 700 main battery shells, many at very close range. Overall the four British ships fired more than 2,800 shells at Bismarck, and scored more than 400 hits, but were unable to sink Bismarck by gunfire. The heavy gunfire at virtually point-blank range devastated the superstructure and the sections of the hull that were above the waterline, causing very heavy casualties, but it contributed little to the eventual sinking of the ship.
The scuttling charges detonated around 10:20. By 10:35, the ship had assumed a heavy port list, capsizing slowly and sinking by the stern. At around 10:20, running low on fuel, Tovey ordered the cruiser Dorsetshire to sink Bismarck with torpedoes and ordered his battleships back to port. Dorsetshire fired a pair of torpedoes into Bismarck's starboard side, one of which hit. Dorsetshire then moved around to her port side and fired another torpedo, which also hit. By the time these torpedo attacks took place, the ship was already listing so badly that the deck was partly awash. Bismarck had been reduced to a shambles, aflame from stem to stern. She was slowly settling by the stern from uncontrolled flooding with a 20 degree list to port. Bismarck disappeared beneath the surface at 10:40. Around 400 men were now in the water; Dorsetshire and the destroyer Maori moved in and lowered ropes to pull the survivors aboard. At 11:40, Dorsetshire's captain ordered the rescue effort abandoned after lookouts spotted what they thought was a U-boat. Dorsetshire had rescued 85 men and Maori had picked up 25 by the time they left the scene. A U-boat later reached the survivors and found three men, and a German trawler rescued another two. One of the men picked up by the British died of his wounds the following day. Out of a crew of over 2,200 men, only 114 survived. The wreck of Bismarck was discovered on June 8th, 1989 by Dr. Robert Ballard, the oceanographer responsible for finding RMS Titanic. Bismarck was found to be resting on its keel at a depth of approximately 4,791 m (15,719 ft), about 650 km (400 mi) west of Brest.

Enter the Black Siblings!
This is like, a rough sketch of the main characters that I created for my thingy, idk.
Okay, this totally ignores the fact that Regulus literally DIED when he was still in his Hogwarts years as a Death Eater, but they are Regulus’s children. In an AU where Regulus survived the cave’s deadly traps and was able to run away to France. He married a pure-blood witch in France, Elodie Levefre. Regulus was, suspected to be dead, thus the possibility of him having two children.
Background: Regulus Black II was born on 1961 and allegedly died in 1979 (18 years). After his escape from England and into France, he never abandoned his identity (plot hole lol I just want to keep the Black name intact) because at that time Voldemort was not an imminent threat to other countries and he does not have a lot of followers in France. When Voldemort ‘died’ in 1981, Regulus was 20, WITH TWO CHILDREN LOL. Anyways.
Their home in Paris is at the 7Th - Faubourg Saint-Germain Paris, Il, 75007 France. Same tactic used in the 12th Grimmauld Place, it’s invisible to Muggles. (Reference: https://www.sothebysrealty.com/eng/sales/detail/180-l-85031-zl2tsv/exceptional-private-mansion-in-paris-7th-faubourg-saint-germain-paris-il-75007) I saw this property and was IMMEDIATELY like yes, this is definitely somewhere I can see them living in.
Cassiopeia Black; the first child out of the three Black siblings.
Cassiopeia is a very ambitious, narcissistic, intelligent lady. Named after the The Queen Constellation, Cassiopeia’s personalities fit her name very well.
She has a strong leadership spirit and is not afraid to speak her opinions. Cassiopeia is blessed with fair skin, blonde hair and the classic Black eyes.
Her patronus is a Black Swan.
She is actually Sirius Black’s daughter, that was taken care under Regulus as Sirius had to go to Azkaban.
Cassiopeia was born on 15 March, 1978 (Aries) , with a fling Sirius had with a Veela. She knows the truth about her biological father, but she loves her family nevertheless.
Very fluent in French, and she almost went to Beauxbatons but she insisted on going to Hogwarts as she wanted to go to the same school as her father (this works because UK citizenship can get passed on to a child that was born to a British parent).
Sorted into Slytherin.
She won’t hesitate to use any means to achieve her goals, even if it does include facilitating her Veela powers (which, let’s make it immoral).
Cassiopeia’s dream is to become a professor in her favorite subject, Herbology. She has an aptitude for floras and has her own mini garden in her own room back in France. Her favorite plant is the Venomous Tentacula because of its reputation and fear it spreads amongst people due to its aggressiveness.
The only sibling that is not in a Quidditch team, but a fan of the sport nevertheless. She doesn’t go to matches if it’s Slytherin vs. Ravenclaws though.
Carina Black; the second child out of the three Black siblings.
Carina is a calm, and although she thinks of herself as an introvert, she tries hard to be social with other people because she knows that connection will be very useful in the future. She’s very ambitious and she’s not afraid to use any means necessary to reach her goal— which is to be the youngest Minister for Magic.
Born on the 25th December of 1979 (Capricorn), she enters Hogwarts at the same year as Harry’s. The Sorting Hat has a hard time on deciding whether or not she should be in Slytherin or Hufflepuff, but due to her being proud of her Black ancestry, she chose Slytherin.
She does not agree with most of the family values such as the pure-blood mania, however, she is still proud of being from the most ancient and noble House of Black. She never once got ashamed of being from the House of Black.
Her patronus is a Dragon.
She is Regulus’s first child, and although she may not be the oldest in the three siblings, she is still protective over all of them and have a tendency to take leadership positions. This results in fights breaking out between her and Cassiopeia.
Carina is blessed with the whole Black family trait, something that she is very much proud of.
She can speak English, French, Italian and German, and she loves traveling.
She plays Quidditch on the Slytherin team as their Beater.
Corvus Black; the third child out of the three Black siblings.
Corvus Black was born a year after Carina, on 16th of September 1980 (Virgo). Corvus is also blessed with the Black family traits, minus his golden eyes, that he got from his mother.
He is the only sibling that is not sorted into Slytherin, as he was put in Ravenclaw after a long deliberation (5 minutes). Knowing the Black family history and disagreeing with its values, he is quite ashamed of his heritage and thus chose Ravenclaw.
He dreams of being a journalist and writing his own book someday, although he’s still not sure what the book will be about.
His patronus is a Magpie.
He is very a very curious individual, and his room back in France can be called a library more than a bedroom. His favorite book is History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot, and he would read the book every month despite knowing all the lines by heart.
He is also a fan of Quidditch and plays for the Ravenclaw team as their Keeper.
Corvus is less assertive than two of his sisters, which may be an effect of growing up with both of them bickering with each other all the time. He would rather spend all of his time indoors cooped up with his books or play Quidditch.
Fluent in English, French, Italian, German, Greek, Latin, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. A super duper smart guy basically.
My story follows on Carina Black, and follows the HP timeline. The siblings come back to France every holiday, and despite the whole school knowing their name starts with Black, everyone just assumes they’re very distant family members of the Black family who branched out to France. Draco, hearing this, tells Narcissa on this information. Narcissa knows that Regulus is still alive, but doesn’t say anything as she loves him dearly and wishes for him to be safe from the Death Eaters.
Like for real, this is basically fanfiction at this point but I’m just writing this so I can go through Harry’s journey all over again as a character inside the universe. This is kinda my first time writing so it’s obviously going to be a mess.

CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS UPDATE 9th JUNE 2020
The latest ONS weekly report has been published, which is based on actual registered deaths attributed to Covid-19, either directly or as a co-morbidity. These are much more accurate figures than the government publicises and has been consistently higher.  Even though the government was forced to change its reporting after 28th April it is still significantly under-reporting the total number of deaths.  Here are the latest versions of the four charts from last week.
At this stage there is still some early evidence that the curves are not declining as fast as they should, which is slightly worrying.
Tumblr media
CHART 4G compares the 7-day rolling average figures from the model (red), the Public Health England (PHE) figures (dark blue) and the ONS figures (purple) for all Covid related deaths which are both actual figures upto 29th May and projections from then.  I have also included the ONS figures for excess deaths (light blue).  The main features are:
1. ONS figures have started to drop just below the PHE figures (the official government figures presented at the daily press conference).  This is strange and is discussed below in relation to Chart 4H, together with the fit of the curves.
2. The model forecast was a 7-day rolling average of 269 for the 31st May, compared to the PHE data of 258 and the ONS projection of 211.
3. The ONS figures for excess deaths closely follows the ONS curve for Covid deaths upto about 12th April and then sharply diverges. The debate is whether the big gap between the two after 12th April is due to under-recording of Covid deaths on the official death certificates, or deaths caused as a direct result of people with other medical conditions not being able to receive the necessary medical care.
4. The discrepancy is shown more clearly in Chart 16 which compares the three data sources on May 29th.
Tumblr media
CHART 2F compares the cumulative figures from the same sources.
Tumblr media
The main features are:
1. The model line which is closely tracking, though slightly lower, the ONS Covid figures is still projecting total deaths in excess of 50,000 by the end of June.
2. The difference between the model and the ONS figures (about 3000) is largely explained by the difference in the two curves in March and April as can be seen in Chart 4G.
3. The model projected total is just over 54,000 with the disease petering out in the second week of October if we remained in lockdown. So, allowing for the current difference with the ONS figures, there is a potential range of 54-57,000.
ISSUES
Because the government has now started its exit strategy the figures will start changing from the trajectory you see in these charts.  So I may need to change one or two parameters in the model to reflect what the government is doing. The serious sign to look for is if the curves in chart 4G start to flatten which would be an early indicator of the start of a second wave.
Looking at Chart 4H, which is a section of Chart 4G for May suggests that this may be starting to happen.
Tumblr media
1. You can see more clearly that the data curve for PHE data is clearly crossing the model forecast.  It has been above the model curve for the last eight days.  This suggests that the disease is not slowing down as fast as it perhaps should be and is starting to flatten.
2. One significant feature is the blip shown in the circle around the 24th/25th May.  This is 16/17 days after the VE Day long weekend.  Of course this could be a coincidence but it does correspond very closely to the time lag between being infected and death.
3. The PHE curve has also become more erratic after 22nd May.
4. The PHE curve has also crossed over the ONS curve which shouldn’t happen since, by definition, the ONS data consists of ALL COVID related registered deaths, whether tested positive or suspected whereas the PHE data is only deaths which have tested positive.
5. Both points 3 and 4 taken together suggest a data quality issue which could be either:
a) There is a large backlog of deaths awaiting registration (which would bring the ONS numbers up retrospectively).  We’ll have more of a feel for this in next Tuesday’s ONS report.  If this was the case then it would support the contention that the curves are flattening faster than they should;
b) Alternatively, the PHE data has been delayed for some reason so that the deaths being reported over the last two weeks actually occurred earlier.  This would bring the curve down to probably below the model which would indicate no change as yet in the behaviour of the disease.
6. Just to throw something into the melting pot …… if I were a conspiracy theorist I might suggest that the peak on 23/24 March was due to the VE day celebrations, was actually a lot higher and was suppressed to give a better picture in preparation for easing the lockdown.
 SUMMARY
1. Cumulatively, the model continues to track the ONS figures very closely, though running slightly lower (Chart 2F)
2. The model forecast was a 7-day rolling average of 269 for the 31st May, compared to the PHE data of 258 and the ONS projection of 211
3. If this continues then the projected number of deaths directly associated with COVID-19 is in the range 54-57,000 and the disease appears to peter out in early October.
4. The number of deaths is open to interpretation as shown in Chart 16 which shows the figures from three different sources on 29th May
5. Worryingly there is some evidence that the disease is not slowing down as fast as would be expected.  You can see more clearly, from Chart 4H which shows that the data curves for PHE data is crossing the model forecast.  This suggests that the disease is not slowing down as fast as it should be and is starting to flatten.  One significant feature is the blip shown in the circle around the 24th/25th May.  This is 16/17 days after the VE Day long weekend.  Of course this could be a coincidence but it does correspond very closely to the time lag between being infected and death.
6. A note of caution though - there could be a data quality issue which hasn’t been corrected.  The PHE curve has been quite erratic since 22nd May compared to before and has also crossed the ONS curve which shouldn’t happen.  We do know that the government changed some figures retrospectively but we don’t know exactly why or how they decided to to do that.
STATISTICAL ISSUES
1. The three data sources have different bases so I have used some factors to relate all three to the same base of the UK.
2. The PHE figures are UK deaths from all settings, attributable to COVID and where there has been a positive test for COVID
3. The ONS figures are the actual number of deaths registered each day and attributed to COVID either directly or as a comorbidity.  But the ONS only publishes these figures for England and Wales.  I have now added the equivalent actual figures from Scotland and Northern Ireland upto 29th May.  I then use the ratio of the total figures up to 29th May divided by the PHE figures to that date to give the projection of the total (ONS+) figures through to the current date.
4. The ONS figures are collated to approximately ten days before their publication (weekly every Tuesday).  From that date I estimate figures until the next report is produced.  The estimate is based on the same factorisation as in (3)
5. The excess deaths are the difference in the the number of deaths in any given week with the average of the same week over the last five years.  Again the figures from the ONS are for England and Wales only so I scale up in the same way.  I don’t project these beyond the date on which the report is based because there is no obvious factorisation to use.

The Princess Uhura Diaries
June 6 This girl is a college graduate!!! Woohoo! So happy to have my degree at last. Harvard is no joke, believe me. Even Grandmother almost smiled at me when I saw her after the ceremony. I may fall short in the social graces, but she can't doubt my brains! Celebrated with the girls, then said goodbye and Scotty the Royal Terrier and I are now on the plane back to Genovia. I'll miss my school sisters big time, but duty calls. I'm being groomed for queenhood someday and Grandmother wants me back there for more tutoring in the ways of being royal. Sigh.
June 8th Landed back in Genovia yesterday and found a couple big surprises. Grandmother renovated and updated a new suite for me. It's mind-blowing luxurious. The walk in closet is to DIE for. That'll come in handy for my extensive shoe collection. The bathroom is larger than my whole bedroom at Mom's and the bed.....well, it's every princess's dream. But that wasn't the only thing that surprised me. When I went in to my giant closet, who should pop up but Gaila, my bestie from New York!! There was lots of squealing and catching up after that. She came all the way over here for my party, bless her heart. June 15th I survived the party, thanks to Gaila and the cute guy I almost ran over on the dance floor. Yum-yum. It started Off like any other royal bash, me coming forth in my fancy gown introduced to a crowd of nobles and diplomats and forced to dance with a motley assortment of stuffed shirts. Ugh. The Pimply French kid was the worst. Then there was the awkward Swedish prince who stepped on my toes three times. I was so relieved to get away from him, I ran smack dab into some poor guy just standing there minding his own business, stepping on his foot even. He kind of doubled over for a second and I apologized as profusely as I could, dying with embarrassment at my perpetual clumsiness. Then he looked up at me and I met the most stunning pair of blue eyes I'd ever seen. He was kind of surprised himself I think, before he recovered and I made a joke about insurance information to which he smoothly replied in kind. It was almost flirting, but I was so relieved to finally meet a decent guy, I agreed to a dance almost before he'd finished asking. June 16th So much for a decent guy. Turns out he's gunning for my crown!! Today Gran had an uncomfortable meeting with parliament and they brought up the old law that requires a female to be married in order to inherit the crown!! I thought they'd done away with anachronistic, sexist rules like that. Evidently not. So, I've got to get myself a man before my next birthday or this James Tiberius Kirk brat gets a chance to lay claim to the throne. I don't know how, but his Uncle, the Viscount Mabry, said he should get the throne because he's more familiar with the Genovian society. Then, he brought him over to live here for the summer! When I saw who it was, well, I was steamed and disappointed. Let's just say, this time, when I stepped on his foot, it wasn't an accident. Gran said afterward, "As a Queen, I cannot condone it, but as a Grandma, I say RIGHT ON!!" I love that woman. June 22 Ever since HE moved in, I feel on edge everyday, like they're looking for reasons I shouldn't be allowed to rule. The Viscount is always sneering and sniffing at me and James is trying to pretend like he's not a lying scumbag. If it weren't for Gaila's refreshing presence, I'd have ripped out my hair by now, or thrown myself in the duck pond. First there was the embarrassing episode with the runaway chicken. I admit, it was stupid of me to open the clucking basket, but James looked way too tickled by my mortification. Then there was the inspection of the guard and I had to ride sidesaddle past the whole company without looking like I was in mortal fear of falling to a terrible demise. Of course, the supposedly calm horse spooked at something and knocked me on my rear anyway. Needless to say, my humiliation was complete, AGAIN. I saw Joe looking very grim and somewhat menacing at the Viscount, but I have no idea why. James had the goodness to keep his mouth shut for once. June 27 Gram is dead set on finding me a husband now. She loathes the Viscount and his schemes to get his nephew the throne. So she and Joe started vetting possible candidates and last night Gaila and looked through the options. It felt creepy. Who wants to pick their husband like he's a dinner option on a menu? But Parliament would have to abolish the longheld law with a two-thirds vote, and The Prime Minister says there isn't enough opposition  to get the required votes. I can tell that bothers him, but his hands are tied. So, we scrolled through various young lords and princes until we came to a nice looking Vulcan by the name of Spock. He's tall, dark, and very handsome, with cute pointy ears and looks very calm and logical like most of his species. I gave him the thumbs up and Gram declared she would invite him to visit Genovia immediately. I'm not promising to marry the guy, but I need something to keep me from thinking about those blue eyes!!! (Darn them) James still keeps trying to convince me our lie dance wasn't a lie and he really did enjoy it!! July 1st. Today was the Founder's Day Parade. As the princess and heir to the throne, I am obligated to sit on a float and wave at the crowds beside Grandmother. It's totally not my thing, but necessary for public relations. So up I got, pleased that James had to experience the same discomfort with his pompous windbag uncle. Despite my dislike of him, I have to admit he was pretty smooth at the mingling with the masses part and not nearly as uncomfortable as I'd hoped. I forgot about that when I passed the girls from the orphanage and saw the wistful expression in those eyes. Impulsively, I got down from the float and invited the girls to walk with me at the front. After all, in my view, every girl deserves to feel like a princess even if they never see a tiara. It ended up being the best part of the day and Gram didn't even really scold me. Even James told me sincerely it was a sweet thing to do. July 8th Spock arrived and we met in person for the first time. Let's just say he's even more handsome in real life and has those dark brown eyes that aren't hiding any nefarious designs! (Unlike some) We get along well, if it was a little awkward at first. Vulcans are very literal and logical and don't always get the jokes, so I try not to get too punny around him. Turns out he's WAY into science and stuff, founded a special scientific institute in his country even. July 12th. Been on several outings with Spock. He's quite a conversationalist once you get him talking. We took some long walks around the coast, played badminton, and several chess games, at which he royally kicked my butt. Of course, the whole thing is being blown up by the media and turned into a soap opera, which is really annoying.  The Viscount though, is really grumpy about it, much to my satisfaction, and James gives me odd looks sometimes, which I find highly unsettling for no reason at all! July 25th The Garden Party started out well, and ended in me doing something monumentally STUPID!! How could I let it happen? HOW?? I hate his guts so much right now!! James arrived at the party looking all smug and dapper as usual, with a knockout blonde on his arm, whom he introduced as Carol. She seemed like a nice girl, but it looked more like Jim was just trying to get me jealous, which is totally ridiculous because I don't even like him!!! Anyway, somehow, Spock and Carol got talking on some deeply technical scientific stuff and James and I were left alone. He started making suggestions that I'm only using Spock to keep my throne and of course I told him off for that, the hypocrite. "I loathe you!!" I yelled finally, getting right up in his smarmy handsome face. "I loathe YOU!!" He yelled back, staring at me intently. Next thing I knew, he'd yanked my face to his and was kissing me!! I should have slapped him for that, but instead I kissed right back. I can't believe that happened. Only you, diary, will ever know that James T. Kirk is really good at kissing, much as I hate to admit it. Then we started arguing again, and somehow ended up in the fountain. I embarrassed Grandmother again. Thankfully, Spock didn't see that indiscretion, being deep in discussion. Aug. 17th Well, James has been a lot less obnoxious lately, seeing how serious Spock and I are getting. In fact, he's been downright nice, even giving me archery tips as I practiced for the test I'll undergo the night before the coronation, which involves shooting an arrow through a ring, an Old Genovian tradition, I hear. I tried to ignore the fluttering in my stomach when he laid his hand over mine while correcting my stance, but wow, he seems to have really gotten under my skin. Ugh. Spock has been so sweet about this whole thing and probably being married to him won't be such a bad thing, but I just can't seem to be quite as happy as I thought I would with such a perfect man.... Sept. 3rd Spock proposed. I said Yes. The kingdom is going nuts at the prospect of a wedding.   It's kind of nice, actually, being engaged to him, but I never thought I'd feel so calm about impending marriage. Gram smiles approvingly a lot, Gaila still looks at me questioningly and Jim seems down in the dumps. He mostly keeps to himself now, seems to always have a book in his hand. He and Carol have double dated with us a couple times and she's great company, but it always ends up with her and Spock doing most of the talking and Jim and I avoiding each other's eyes. I think he's changed his mind on me being a fit ruler finally. I wonder if he'll have the guts to stand up against the Viscount uncle, who's more bombastic than ever. March 5. I haven't written in forever, but wedding planning has taken over my life right now. The dress, the flowers, the table settings, the cake, pleasing the families and all that jazz is pretty exhausting. Spock's been really kind and helpful in his own way. He's great at subtly telling people when enough is enough. It's very comforting and I ought to be head over heels by now, but I'm not and that saddens me. Should I really go through with this? Is it worth losing the kingdom and hurting Gran? Should I really cave to this sexist law? Gaila told me she'll support me no matter what I decide, and it's comforting to know that. For now, everything is going ahead for an April 3rd Wedding. March 30th Had a delightfully unconventional "shower" last night. We invited princesses of all ages to the palace for a giant slumber party, including mattress surfing down the main staircase. It was a riot! Even Grandmother joined in, looking dignified while doing it. It was nice to let myself go and just be a regular girl again. Pretty soon I'll be in charge of a country and fun time? Well, Buh-bye. April 2nd I caved to temptation last night and snuck  out with Jim to the lake for a moonlight walk. I should be strong enough to resist him, but those eyes just DO things to me and he seems to be much more than an insufferable, cocky rich guy. We really talked this time and I learned about his life and growing up with no parents and I told him about New York and Gaila and my Mom and how awkward it was learning to be a princess. "You're doing a pretty fantastic job, in my opinion," he told me. "You really do care about the people and the country. My uncle is so wrong." "You really think so?" I asked (He was holding my hand at this point). "Sure do." He smiled at me and my heart did a flip again. Shoving the guilt aside, I stayed with him. We danced in the moonlight and curled up under a tree and dozed off. Bad idea. Next thing I know, there come the paparazzi and I'm running away in rage and panic, wondering if it was all a set up by Jim to create a scandal and wreck the wedding. I really need to make better choices. April 3rd Well, there was a wedding today, but not mine. I couldn't go through with it, not after searching my own heart and realizing I'm in love with someone else. It's not fair to Spock, logical as he's been about the whole thing. When Joe told me that James had NOT planted those paps to ruin me and he believed the young man was besotted with me, well, the was the finishing touch. I went out there and told Spock I couldn't go through with it. He was very gracious as usual and I think I detected a faint trace of relief on his part. Then the good ole Viscount got up and started haranguing me again and how he wouldn't stand for this. After he stormed out in a huff, the Prime Minister came up and told me now was a good time to convince Parliament to change the rules. "They're waiting to be convinced. Go after them and tell them what's what. Don't back down." I always liked the Prime Minister. Lord Pike is a good man. Up I got and explained why women are perfectly capable of ruling a country without a husband. Most of them seemed to be receptive, but one old fellow had to ask "What does the other heir think?" There was a silence, and James stood up, much to my surprise. I certainly didn't expect him to be there after everything that happened to be there. He looked like he'd had a bad night, but what he said warmed me through. He backed me up completely!! Even said he utterly refused to be king because he felt the crown was mine and I would be a great queen. "Plus, she'll look lovely on all our postage stamps," he added saucily, with a smile at me. Once he'd finished, he turned and left without further ado, leaving me both grateful and puzzled. The Prime Minister called for a vote right then and there and the law was overturned. That wasn't the end of the surprises, though. Grandmother stood up and declared it would be a shame to waste all the bridal plans, so she and Joe would be filling in as the happy couple. It's very unlike her to be so impulsive, but the two of them together has been a long time coming and I gladly played bridesmaid as they were united in marriage. What a day!!! April 16th I passed the archery test with flying colors and the coronation will proceed tomorrow as planned. I'm really nervous about it, but this evening something wonderful happened. I was lounging in my drawing room, Scotty beside me on his little doggy throne, when Jim appeared and knelt before me. "What is your dilemma, young man?" I asked him playfully. Those big blue eyes were looking at me so intensely, I thought I would drown in them. "I am in love with the queen to be and am inquiring as to whether she loves me too." I admit, I launched myself at him in a very unqueenly manner and we held each other tightly, finally giving in to the electricity between us. Then he whispered "Nyota!" In my ear in a longing, loving tone and I kissed the daylights out of him. How I love that man. Scotty was annoyed at losing my undivided attention and stalked off in high dudgeon, yipping, but we were too busy to care. I'll make it up to him. April 18th The coronation went off with much pomp and circumstance. I now understand what they mean when they say "heavy is the head that wears the crown". Not only is it a huge responsibility to be ruler of a country, but the crown is literally HEAVY. My head was sweating the whole day. Between Grandmother, Joe, Gaila, and Jim, I was subtly encouraged by my loved ones and made it through the long ceremonies fairly well. Grandmother bustles around looking proud, Joe kept the throng from getting too big, Gaila smiled, and Jim looked dazzled and proud and utterly gorgeous. Even Spock attended with Carol sticking to his side. I think those two might have a thing going...... (Skips over a year of entries until the next June) June 6th I married Jim yesterday. It truly was the best day of my life and Mom got to be there, which was wonderful. I'd felt weird wearing the same dress that I'd originally picked out to marry someone else, so the original was auctioned for charity to support the orphanage. My new gown was a simple long white satin with elegant sheer sleeves and delicate crystals scattered over it. It moved beautifully as well, and Jim seemed to like it judging by the countless times he's told me how gorgeous I am. He's no slouch either, rocking that royal uniform with confidence and style. Joe walked me down the aisle, which made Grandmother very happy. (Was that a tear I saw in her eye?) Jim's eyes were just glowing as we exchanged vows and I hope I was able to convey my own love and joy so perfectly. "How does it feel to be a prince?" I asked him when it was over. "Not as good as being your husband," he answered softly, kissing my hand regally. I swooned inwardly. Who could help it? Just as we started our first dance, he looked down at his feet with feigned anxiety. "Are my toes safe today?" He asked, the rascal, bringing up our awkward first two meetings. I laughed. "You bet, baby." Well, Jim is starting to stir beside me and I think I saw one blue eye open a bit, so I'd better stop for now. I will say, he has totally cute bedhead! I think I'm going to ruffle it up some more.
