Navy showed up at Felix’s and knocked on the door softly. Waiting patiently as he held some tea and pastries he made for him. Taking a deep breath, he sighed a bit. Once the door opened he offered a faint smile, “I bring a peace offering?”
@infamousfailure
@infamousfailure
Felix raised his brow at Navy after opening his door and opened up the box slightly. "They don't look absolute terrible, but Ruby isn't here and if you're here to tell me you knocked her up again. I really will kill you, I know you both learned safe sex I sat you down and forced a lesson on you." He complained.

He needed to hear that. Even if it was only once. He needed someone to be there for him desperately. Not because they felt obligated to due to his sister's worrying or because he was acting out of character. Because he wasn't he had always been like this when his emotions decided to get the best of him, but he lacked the control to hide this part of him.
"I told you I'll go after one drink, but I don't want to go back to my apartment. It's too quiet. You know it wasn't just once a day in my dreams. It would loop every few hours with a new person. The stronger my feelings the more I saw that person. I would try my hardest to save you only for the end result being me dying and seeing you hurt. Then the cycle started all over again and I stopped trying to save you all. I....I ...I covered my ears and tried to block it out but it was never enough." He opened up about his time asleep in the tower and a few tears slid down his face. "I'm a coward, I couldn't even save the people I love."
mysteriousangels:
Good. If she’ll stay for one drink he could convince her not to go home. At least that was his thought process, it was very simplistic compared to how overcomplicated he was usually and he sat at the bar and downed the rest of his drink. “I broke it to pieces, my phone. Why would I need it? When I have everything I need here. They even let me sleep on the cot. I don’t have to think or acknowledge that it’s my fault she gone.” He mumbled and rubbed his forehead then laughed. “I’ve managed to come full circle to middle school me. Always starting fights in boarding school cause of pent up emotions.”
He gently took Diana’s hand and intertwined their fingers. “I wanna hold your hand and feel its warmth. I need to know your here and okay, cause when I close my eyes my heart breaks everytime I lose you.” He rested his head on her shoulder. His voicing lulling a bit.
She pulls up to sit beside him, shaking her head to herself. There it is. Diana glances at him and sighs, just listening. She’s no Iris, she doesn’t know what she’s doing. Not at all. And she desperately wishes she did, she wishes she could help him. Not anyone else. She didn’t give a damn about anyone else, not the way Iris did. But god, what Diana’d give to borrow that crazy imp’s way of thinking to help Felix.
Her entire train of thought derails completely when he takes her hand, and she doesn’t pull away, gently letting him lace their fingers together. God, he’s drunk. He’s so drunk, and she can’t let herself melt at what he’s saying, what he’s doing, as he leans his head onto her shoulder and she looks at him.
Drunk words are sober thoughts, she’d overheard that bartender at the Howling Dragon say once. But she pushes the thought aside. He wouldn’t, he didn’t–
He didn’t even remember her right now.
And when he did, he wouldn’t really think something like this.
“I’m here,” she says finally, settling on the only response she can give him. “I’m here.”

Mingi: Child’s Play
Characters: Mingi x gender neutral reader (featuring ateez and skz)
Genre/warnings: werewolf au, angst
Word count: 1,652
Summary: Just because you’re Mingi’s mate doesn’t mean he doesn’t still see you as his rival.
a/n: so i saw this and i really just had to make werewolf!mingi, and also @dearmingki didn’t exactly tell me not to write this. but i also didn’t 100% have a solid plot in mind so uh if anybody thinks it sucks,,,,,u right jkdhfsd (since i’ve been asked so many times: please stop asking if I’ll make a part 2. if i do it, then i do it, but rn, i have zero inspo ok thank u)
Part Two
He’s hated you since you were kids. He wanted to be first to go down the slide in first grade, but you had beat him to it. So as you sat down on the slide, he shoved you down it, and you ended up skinning your knee when you fell on the ground. So then you hated him, too.
As you and Mingi got older, your hatred continued. It grew from stealing each others crayons to purposely hitting your shoulder against his in the hallway or him sticking his leg out to trip you in class. Even when you moved away when you were in your sophomore year of high school, you loathed Mingi. You’d still hear about him from your friends -- how handsome he’d gotten, how deep his voice was now -- but you’d just roll your eyes.
Then you heard that he had a massive growth spurt, and then ran away from home for a week. Nobody could find him until Kim Hongjoong pulled up to Mingi’s house with the boy in question in his passenger seat one Saturday morning. But you just scoffed and said, “he should’ve stayed gone”.
Mingi caught word of a similar story. All the neighboring towns and cities were buzzing about the missing 16-year-old who had supposedly run away from home. But seeing your most recent photo in the paper -- it was your school photo from your new school -- made him feel...indifferent. Part of him didn’t care if you were going through some rebellious phase where you ran away from home, but another part of him wondered if something bad had happened to you. Part of him wondered if -- and hoped, even -- you would even come home.
But he never heard if you did.
You had eventually returned home, but only after you got yourself under control. After your pulse had started to rapidly beat, your skin had gotten hot, and you watched as claws expanded out of your fingers, you had bolted out of your house and into the woods just to hide from your parents before they got home. But then you had shifted into some giant wolf as you were running, and you couldn’t figure out how to shift back. Could you even shift back? Or were you stuck like this forever?
You were lucky that a familiar face found you despite the fact you were deep in the forest, far away from home. Though, you wouldn’t find out until later that they found you because Chan sensed that there was somebody in his pack not too far from him.
“_____, it’s okay,” Changbin had tried to calm you down, being the first to find you after his pack went out and split up in search of the stray werewolf that turned out to be you. “You just have to calm down, and you can change back.”
But nobody could get you calm until Chan showed up. The alpha -- your alpha -- managed to coax you into changing back after calming you down, and then wrapping you in a blanket since you didn’t have any clothes. Then he brought you back to his apartment and let you borrow a pair of his sweatpants and a t-shirt so he could bring you home.
But that was years ago. You weren’t in high school anymore, and you were finally used to being a werewolf. You had moved in with Changbin and Hyunjin after you graduated, and your apartment was only a floor below Chan’s. All of your pack mates treated you like family, and you loved them dearly -- even if they did constantly get into mischief. But you didn’t think about stupid Song Mingi for years, and that was what mattered.
Until Chan called for a ‘pack meeting’...
“We’re forming this treaty with another pack,” he explained before he looked at you with an amused expression. “They’re actually located where _____ came from.”
“What?” you asked as your expression turned to confusion. There was a werewolf pack in your hometown?
“What do they need from us, though?” Minho wondered.
“Apparently some werewolf hunters have been hanging around the area, so they want our help if they ever attack,” the alpha elaborated, running a hand through his hair. “I figured a few of us could go for the weekend to scope things out; make the deal and whatnot. I assumed _____ would wanna go.”
You shrugged, a small smile tugging at the corner of your lips, “I haven’t really been home in a while...”
“I wanna go, too!” Felix smiled as he threw his hand into the air.
“Alright, so it’ll be me, Woojin, Felix, and _____,” Chan nodded.
“Who’s in charge while you’re gone?” Jisung wondered.
Chan just scoffed, “None of you. Just stay out of trouble.”
-
Being back home felt better than you thought it would. Everything was so familiar but just slightly different in ways you couldn’t place. But overall, it brought back a lot of nostalgia that had you faintly smiling non-stop. Your pack took notice of it, too, and thought it was adorable -- especially Felix who wouldn’t stop cooing at you.
“So who is this pack?” Woojin wondered as Chan drove the four of you to your destination to meet this pack for the first time.
“I just know their alpha’s name is Hongjoong,” Chan replied, not really paying attention since he was trying to listen to the GPS.
Your eyes widened as you pushed yourself forward to physically interject yourself into the conversation, your hands on the driver and passenger seats, “Wait, Kim Hongjoong?”
Chan didn’t even look at you as he replied, “Yeah, why?”
“Ooh, is he one of your old friends?” Felix asked excitedly. “Do we get to meet your friends from home?”
“Not really,” you shrugged. “I knew of him but we were friends. He was friends with somebody else I knew.”
“So...friend of a friend?”
“Friend of an asshole,” you corrected with acid in your tone.
Your hatred for Mingi suddenly flooded back into you. You hadn’t thought of him in years, and now you were angry all over again.
The road Hongjoong lived on was familiar, but the house wasn’t. It was at the very end of a dead-end street that you’d never seen the end of. His house was secluded, but it still looked pretty cute. It looked like it would house a few more people than just him, though.
The car parked in the driveway, and as the four of you got out, the front door to the house opened. Hongjoong led a whole pack out the door, smiling politely when he saw your alpha. You were only paying attention to Hongjoong because of his alpha aura that he radiated.
“Thank you for coming all this way,” he said with a smile. “We really appreciate-- Oh, _____! It’s been a really long time.”
You nodded, feeling a little awkward that one of Mingi’s friends knew and recognized you. You just hoped they weren’t still friends.
“Hey,” was all you really said.
“Wait,” a deep voice that sounded unfamiliar but also kind of familiar at the same time spoke up. It made your heart beat in a way you couldn’t explain, either; in a way it never had before, “_____?”
Through the small crowd of Hongjoong’s pack, Mingi pushed through. He definitely had gotten taller, and his voice had definitely gotten deeper. He also just looked more mature, but that wasn’t really your primary focus right now.
You just knew when you looked at Mingi that he was it. You’d heard what imprinted was supposed to feel like, but you didn’t know what it actually would be like, but you just knew. Despite the anger bubbling in you, you felt an intense love and care for your only archenemy, and it was all very confusing. Your gaze completely zeroed in on him, blocking out the rest of the world, so you didn’t see how your pack and his were looking at you, realizing what was happening.
But Mingi was going through the same thing, and he was the first to speak on it.
“Fuck,” he said plainly before he scoffed and shook his head. “No, this is-- No.”
“Wait, what’s going on?” Hongjoong wondered.
Mingi whipped around to face his alpha, pointing over at you, “That’s _____!”
“Like, the _____?” somebody from his pack chuckled. “Wow, fate must really hate you two.”
Chan looked at you curiously, “_____, who is that?”
As you opened your mouth to speak, Mingi interrupted with his stupid, big, loud mouth, “It doesn’t matter because you’re all leaving. We don’t need the help.”
“Mingi--” Hongjoong tried to scold him.
“I don’t want them around me!” Mingi stated, crossing his arms over his chest.
“You’ll die if they’re not,” one of his pack mates said in a quiet, monotone voice like they really didn’t care either way.
Honestly, neither did you.
Mingi’s golden eyes landed on you, realizing that he forgot about that bit. If a werewolf was denied their mate, they would slowly die. So he either had to put up with you or die. But you were in the same predicament, and dying didn’t seem too bad right now.
He growled lowly before he rolled his eyes and seemed to just accept his fate.
“Whatever,” he spat. “But stay away from me while you’re here. And if anything happens, I don’t want your help.”
“No problem,” you promised with a sarcastic smirk.
Mingi stormed back into the house while you stomped over to the car to wait in the backseat instead.
After the two of you left, Felix quietly said, “Twenty bucks says they end up absolutely in love by the end of this.”
San from Mingi’s pack laughed, not even bothering to keep his voice down, “I’ll bet twenty-five that they’re hate-fucking each other by Sunday.”

Stray Kids AU: 10th member
Tori x Stray Kids
Tori and Zoey finally meet
A/N: ITS HAPPENING! EVERYONE STAY CALM
Requests are Open: Submit them to my ask box! I need them!
Tori stood next to Jeongin as she coached him through the moves. They were working on the choreo for a special stage, and Jeongin was having some trouble nailing the choreography.
The rest of the boys were taking a water break, spread out across the studio. The practice had been going on for hours, with only a short lunch break a while ago.
“Pull your arm straight into your chest, Jeonginnie. It has to go in time with the kick movement.”
“Like this.” He repeated the move, getting a lot closer to what it was supposed to be.
Tori nodded. “Almost there. Let’s take a break. You’ll get it in a bit.”
He nodded, looking a little dejected. She patted him on the shoulder and made her way over to her bag, right next to where Felix was sitting. She crouched down and took out her phone.
“Have some water.” Felix reminded her.
She nodded. “I will. I-”
She fell over on her butt, staring at her phone screen.
“Chan!” She practically shouted.
“What?” The leader left to his feet and hurried over. “What? Is it your head? Do you not feel well.”
Tori shook her head frantically, scrambling into a standing position. “We need to clean up.”
“What?” Changbin asked from the floor. “We’re in the middle of a practice. Why would we clean up now?”
Tori shoved the phone screen in his face.”Because Zoey is on her way up.”
“What?” Jisung demanded. “Like, right now?”
“Yes!” Tori insisted. “Two minutes ago she texted and said that the reception had told her where to find us. We need to clean up!”
She started trying to straighten her hair. “Should I meet her at the elevator?”
Chan nodded, trying to give her a reassuring smile. “You go. We’ll make ourselves presentable.”
Tori nodded and rushed out of the room, past a disturbed looking Jisung, and made for the elevators. She was only wearing leggings and a cropped-top hoodie, but she didn’t look as bad as she could. She also had no makeup on.
“Deep breaths.” She muttered to herself. “It’s just Zoey. She’s chill. You’ve talked before.”
Never mind the fact that they hadn’t actually met in person, or the fact that this was an artist that every single member of Stray Kids looked up to. Tori could not afford to mess this up.
The elevator dinged, and Tori gave her hair one final brush before the doors opened.
It felt the air had been knocked out of her when Zoey stepped into the hall. She was dressed exactly like Tori would’ve expected, in a tight leather skirt and a loose fitting t-shirt tucked in. It was the sort of effortless style that all idols seemed to have down, and that Tori was still trying to master. Her hair, dyed pink for the Shoot Out comeback, was down, and Tori noticed with a start that the older girl wasn’t wearing makeup either.
And despite the fact that Zoey was only slightly taller than Tori, it felt like her aura just filled the hall.
“Tori!” She exclaimed, smiling sweetly. “It’s so nice to finally meet you in person!”
Tori floundered for words as Zoey pulled her into a hug, trying to ignore that she smelled like sweat from hours of practice, and Zoey smelled like flowers.
“It’s really nice to meet you.” She finally said. “It’s been nice talking to you.”
“It has.” Zoey agreed. “I know this has all been really random, and probably hectic as you’re in the middle of comeback promotions.”
Tori shook her head quickly. “You guys are having a comeback too! And congratulations on your wins!”
“Thank you!” Zoey said, sincerity in her tone. “We’re so excited. I can’t wait for you guys to get your first win. I think it’s just the rookies curse getting you right now. But hey, rookies of the year!”
Tori nodded, bowing in thanks. “Did you - were you watching the award show?”
Zoey shook her head sadly. “I was - indisposed.” She looked at Tori and shrugged. “Eh, we’re going to be friends. I was really drunk. Jackson told me.”
Tori laughed awkwardly. “That’s okay. I guess you guys would have been celebrating.”
“We were.” Zoey winked. “Did I interrupt your practice?”
“Oh, no!” Tori exclaimed, even though that was definitely what had happened. “We were pretty much done.”
Zoey tilted her head. “That’s good. I don’t believe you for a second, but you’ve got guts, lying straight to my face.”
“No - I. That’s not what I mean.” Tori insisted.
Zoey threw back her head and laughed. “Don’t worry. I’m just kidding. I am sorry for showing up on such short notice. Schedules are insane, you know?”
“I do.” Tori agreed.
Zoey stepped away from the elevator. “Are the rest of Stray Kids here? I would love to meet them.”
“Yes! You can follow me.” Tori gestured down the hall, and they set off at a comfortable pace.
Despite Tori’s obvious nerves, she was able to realize that Zoey was already one of the nicest people she’d ever met. She seemed really sincere in everything she said, and didn’t seem to be treating Tori like she was her inferior.
“Oh!” Zoey exclaimed. “I meant to say, you can totally drop the formalities if you want. I feel like we’re going to be pretty close by the time this thing is done with.”
Tori nodded awkwardly. “So, I could call you Eonnie?”
Zoey nodded. “Of course. Though, I get it if that’s weird from you. You’re not from Korea, are you? I know that sometimes foreigners find it weird.”
Tori shook her head. “It’s not. That would be nice. Honestly, I don’t have very many girlfriends in Korea.”
“Side effect of being surrounded by guys all the time.” Zoey nodded. “Give it like a year. I can pretty much make any of the boys go shopping with me anytime I want.”
“I’ve already done that.” Tori laughed.
Zoey gave her an impressed nod. “You’ve got me beat then. You think my boys would’ve been better, seeing as how I’m the maknae and all. Are you the youngest?”
Tori felt her heart get a little warm when Zoey called Monsta X ‘her boys’, because it made her think of how Stray Kids were her boys. “No. I’m right in the middle. Jeongin is our youngest.”
Zoey nodded in understanding. “You’ll have to introduce me, I’m afraid. I’m not the best with names.”
“I will. It’s right here.” Tori stopped in front of the door.
Zoey stopped her with a hand on her shoulder before she opened the door. “Before I screw up and make them hate me forever, hugs or no hugs?”
At Tori’s questioning glance, she added. “I’m a hugger, but I get that not everyone is.”
Tori briefly imagined the look on Jisung’s face, and quickly replied. “You could give them hugs. I’m sure that would be okay.”
Zoey beamed. “Good.”
Tori opened the door and they stepped inside the room. They boys had kicked all of the gyms bags behind the mats so that they couldn’t be seen, and were sitting around on the floor, trying to look nonchalant. They shot to their feet the second the girls entered the room.
“Anneyonghaseyo.” Zoey greeted cheerfully. “I’m Zoey.”
The boys all bowed awkwardly. “Anneyonghaseyo.”
Seeing that they were too nervous to say anything, Tori decided to just proceed with the introductions. “Zoey-Eonnie, this is Chan. He’s our leader.”
Zoey smiled and pulled him into a hug. He returned it awkwardly, looking like he wasn’t sure where to put his hands. “It’s so nice to meet you.” She told him with a smile.
“It’s nice to meet you too.” He whispered.
Tori proceeded down the line, introducing Zoey to Seungmin, Felix and Jeongin respectively. All of them managed to maintain composure, and greeted her cheerfully.
The next in the line was Jisung, who was so pale that Tori thought he might faint. But he would certainly be worse if she pointed it out, so she turned to Zoey.
“And this is Han Jisung. He’s our-”
“Rapper!” Zoey exclaimed. “You’re really good! I always tell Jooheon that you sound amazing.”
“Thank you.” He squeaked.
Zoey laughed and pulled him into a hug, and then took a nervous step back. “Are you alright? You’re shaking?”
“We’ve had a long practice?” Minho offered.
Zoey nodded in understanding, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the hand she had kept on his shoulder was giving the boy a heart attack. “I know the feeling. Honestly, this is my first day off in a while.”
Tori quickly finished up the greetings, with Zoey being sure to point out how much she loved Changbin’s rap as well. Though she clearly loved the whole group, she also had an ear for rappers, and Stray Kids certainly had some good ones.
Zoey stepped back and playfully linked arms with Tori. “I just wanted to congratulate you all on the Rookie award! That’s a huge achievement.”
“Thank you, Sunbae.” Woojin gave her a polite nod.
Zoey laughed. She was very cheerful, Tori had noticed. “I’ve never been the Sunbae before. That’s fun.” She waved her hand. “Call me whatever you like. Zoey, Z, the girl from Monsta X, Noona...I am older than all of you, aren’t I?”
“You are.” Tori confirmed.
Zoey nodded. “Well, whatever works. And I need to thank you for letting me borrow Tori. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of each other.”
“I hope so.” Jisung breathed. Hyunjin smacked him.
“That would be fun, wouldn’t it?” Zoey agreed, seeming not to realize what he’d meant. “Anyways, I’m going to steal Tori now. Have a nice day.”
They said their goodbyes, and Tori grabbed her gym bag and headed out of the room, leading the older girl as they went.
“Did you really not notice that-” Tori cut herself off. “Nevermind.”
“What?” Zoey asked as they got in the elevator. “That Han had a crush on me?”
“You knew?” Tori gasped.
Zoey shrugged. “I’m telling you, Tori, you’ve already got lots of male fans. Your job, is to make them less embarrassed about the fact that their obsessed with you.”
“Wow.” Tori breathed. “I think I want to be you when I grow up.” It slipped out without her control.
Zoey gave a loud laugh, nudging the girl’s side. “We’re going to have fun, Tori. I can feel it.”

Stray Kids as high schoolers
Woojin
Senior - Legit the only dude who takes Childhood Development, one of like the five guys in choir, student council, always putting up some kind of poster for something, calls all the teachers he hates by their first names behind their backs but kisses ass to them in class, gets pranked by underclassmen all the time but honestly doesn’t give a shit so he just shrugs it off, got roofied at homecoming junior year and Chan still won’t let him live it down, has his own car so he drives to and from school, somewhere along the way he becomes everyones chauffer, always up to date on school drama even if he’s not involved in it, doesn’t give pencils back after he borrows them, accidentally steals dry erase markers because he forgets he’s holding onto them, panics and shoves them into minho’s backpack when he’s not looking
Chan
Senior - does like three different sports, everyone knows him, even the freshmen, the one senior who actually doesn’t hate a particular class, biggest case of senioritis EVER, smart as fuck but doesn’t take any honors or AP classes because he’s stressed out 24/7 as is, that one dude always wearing his letterman jacket, always gets school lunch yet is somehow fit af, goes to parties but is always roped into being the designated driver, mama bird has pain pills and band-aids and Neosporin in his bag, people go to him before they go to the school nurse (because school nurses don’t know shit), brought a bag of candy to school one day and nearly lost his life fending it off from the swim team, will literally sprint after a kid with the intent to kill if he sees them naruto running in the halls
Minho
Junior - hates sophomores with a passion, randomly starts dancing in the middle of lunch to get people to give him food, twerked for some skittles once, literally always doing something for the school, whether it be helping with concessions or selling raffle tickets or fundraising, definition of been there done that got a t-shirt, “hey do you have a charger on you?”, every time he sees someone wearing neon he goes up to them and hands them a psych ward business card, goes to all the pep rallies but ends up sitting with the teachers and talking shit with them about the other team, best buds with all the deans assistants so he never gets stopped in the hallways, spends social studies class secretly looking at memes, sucks at making presentations
Changbin
Junior - passed out during dissections in freshman year bio and it’s forever his legacy, ripped jeans and band tee shirts every single day, sleeps in class and still manages to pass, tries too hard in gym, always has food on him, in contrast hE NEVER HAS A PENCIL, pretends to be illiterate so he doesn’t have to read in class, somehow still had to play juliet during the class reading of Romeo and Juliet, “Romeo, Romeo, where the fuck art thou Romeo” (Minho was Romeo), could probably deck a dean and still not get in trouble, all the freshies follow him around like chicks even though he’s the WORST ROLEMODEL EVER, one time woojin asked him for a second opinion on what he should do for a schoolday plan for childhood development, after that woojin didn’t talk to him for a week
Hyunjin
Sophomore - smuggles his dog into school once a semester, somehow never gets caught?????, snapchat king, always manages to document whatever crazy shit is happening in the hallways, has a youtube page for it, everyone follows it even the principal, everyone has a crush on him, everyone, is in like four AP classes and is always making jokes like “lol I wanna die” but actually enjoys the workload because he’s fuckin crazy, somehow has a really small backpack even though he has like a shit ton of stuff he needs to carry around, takes a full hour study instead of a lunch so he’s always swindling snacks off Changbin and sneaking food in the middle of class, has an infinite supply of granola bars in his gym locker
Jisung
Sophomore - a girl in his first hour once gave him a flower crown and he wore it the whole day, has a shit ton of aesthetic pics in his locker, like you open it up and there’s goals level pics with everyone, he doodles on the whiteboard, accidentally broke a basketball hoop during gym, manages to blow something up during all his chem labs, once ripped his pants in the middle of class and just fell to the floor and laughed his ass off, until the teacher told him he had to get clothes from his gym locker, literally sprinted down to gym in hopes that no one would see him, but then a deans assistant caught him and dragged him over to the office, the dean looked like he was gonna have an aneurysm
Felix
Sophomore - taught the principal how to dab and now he NEVER STOPS, if something doesn’t go well he just kinda shrugs, whips, then shimmies it the hell outta there before he can get in trouble, has broken more desks than you can count, no longer allowed near the art wing, naruto runs down the hall just to piss of chan, moved schools at the beginning of freshman year and the whole grade was SHOOK, recreates all the memes he can, tried to shove himself into a locker one time and got stuck, took a headfirst dive into a trash can once, and that’s how he made all his senior friends cause they were all like “same”, came back from spring break with dyed hair and earrings and this one girl legit started sobbing when she saw him
Seungmin
Sophomore - everyone thinks he’s an upperclassmen so he just acts like one, yells across the hallway if he sees someone he knows, is literally saying hi to someone every other second, popular kid but a nice popular kid, wore a one direction shirt for a prank once and now it’s a school wide meme, gets really into class games, another one of the choir kids, takes honors math classes and everyone thinks he’s insane for it, read somewhere you can blow up pottery in a kilm if you form it right, so he decided to sign up for a 3D media class just because for that, somehow ends up liking it and becoming one of the best students, he’s a literally always refilling his water bottle, never remembers his locker combo so he just pries the door open when he needs something
Jeongin
Freshman - had a huge glow up over winter break, no one recognized him when he came back, took one for the team and passed out during the pacer test so now the school doesn’t use it anymore, shy goofball, teacher makes him change seats? No problem, ten seconds in and they’re his best friends, takes the bus and hates every second of it so he hitches a ride with woojin when he can, the choir teacher hunted him down and bargained with him to make him join, roasts teachers behind their backs, has fallen down the stairs at least twice in one week, refers to the hallways as if they’re roads, has secret names for all the sections of the school, like the math wing is the “witches hut” and the foreign language section is “diddly darn squat”

The Misadventures of Prince Kim - chapter 48
Yes, 48 chapters, I don’t know how I’m still going with this mess either...
Also on AO3 as always
Where was Kim’s phone? He was sure he had left it beside the rest of his things in the library while he was working, then gone off to look for a particular reference book, and after that he just hadn’t seen it. Could he have left it in his room? No, he couldn’t have! He had very definitely been sending messages to Max all evening (and getting replies telling him firmly to do his homework and stop being romantic).
Had someone taken it? No, surely they wouldn’t. Stealing from a royal counted as treason. None of the nobles would do such a thing, they were all far too wimpy. Anyway, it wouldn’t exactly be of any use to them without the battery charger, which was up in Kim’s locked dorm room, so unless they somehow managed to break into there and steal that too, then what was the point of taking his phone?
But what if… this was something to do with that assassin? The one who had sent him the chocolates? Surely it couldn’t be? Why would an assassin need a phone? His brain was hurting from all this sudden worry. He was about to send a message to Max when he realized that duh, of course he couldn’t, his phone was missing. Obviously. He smacked himself in the forehead.
“Are you alright there, Kim?”
He looked over to see Chloé frowning at him, looking vaguely unimpressed but managing to mostly hide her usual disdainful glower.
“Yeah,” he said. “I just can’t find my phone.”
“Maybe Marinette took it.”
For a few seconds it didn’t register in his brain. Marinette…? Taking his phone? He almost wanted to laugh.
“Why do you say that?” he asked.
“Because she was snooping around here earlier and I haven’t seen anyone else nearby,” Chloé replied. Her unimpressed look had only increased at the mention of Marinette. Did those two still not like each other? But then again, Chloé was a lot better now, she wouldn’t just unfairly blame Marinette for something she didn’t do, even if they weren’t on great terms…
“I guess I’ll go ask her,” he said, picking up the rest of his things.
“You don’t believe me, do you?”
“No, I do! I mean… I believe you that Marinette was here. But why would she take my phone?”
Chloé just rolled her eyes. “I have no idea. Go ask her yourself.”
Of course. Now how was he going to do this exactly? It would be a bit tactless to just go into her room and say “Oh hey Marinette, did you steal my phone by any chance?” Perhaps he would just have to ask her outright and hope that the fact that she was his first ever friend would get her to tell the truth. Marinette, much like Kim, was not known for making good decisions. This was probably just another mistake of hers. It was fine.
Marinette herself sat on the bed in Alya’s room, curled up into a ball, her hands over her eyes.
“I’m such an idiot oh my gosh Alya why did I take it why did I do that it’s not even my phone and what was I thinking–”
“It’s okay Marinette!” Alya put a soothing hand on her friend’s back. “Calm down. Just apologize and give the phone back to him. He’s your friend, he won’t mind.”
“I’m an idiot,” Marinette sobbed, still hiding away in her hands.
“You already said.”
“Do you think Kim will hate me? Will I be deposed? Arrested? Executed? Oh my gosh what if he starts a war with me? Is stealing a prince’s phone considered treason???”
“Well…” Alya shuffled into a more comfortable position. “Technically yes, it’s illegal and counts as treason. But if you really think Kim is going to start a war with you or have you executed then you don’t know your friend at all.”
Marinette put her hands down slightly, only to catch a glimpse of that phone sitting on the desk across the room, and put her hands right back up.
“Come on, I’ll help you,” Alya said. “All you need to do is go and apologize to him and give the phone back.”
“But he’ll want to know why I took it! What do I tell him?”
“The truth, of course! It’s no crime to want to talk to your family back home, especially somewhere as far away as Cheng.”
“But you know that’s not entirely true… you know who I wanted to speak to really… my, um, pet cat…”
It still wasn’t safe to talk about Adrien’s whereabouts, even if it was unlikely that any guards were somehow listening in. It was better to get used to not talking about him, in case of otherwise letting something slip when secrecy really did matter.
“Kim will understand,” Alya said. “I’m sure he misses your pet cat too. He knows how you feel.”
“Yeah… you’re right…”
There was a sudden knock at the door, followed by someone saying, “Hey Alya, are you there? I need your help solving a mystery!” The voice was unmistakeable.
“It’s Kim!” Marinette grabbed the covers and pulled them over her head. “Hide me.”
Alya pulled the covers off and pushed Marinette off the bed. “Oh no. You’re going to face him, you are. No hiding.” She got up and opened the door before Marinette could find anywhere else to hide.
“Oh, there you are Marinette!” Kim said. “I was looking for you actually.”
He knew. Oh boy, he knew. He knew she took the phone, he was going to be so mad…
“Hey, there’s my phone!” He had spotted it on the table now and ran forwards, picking it up. “So glad I found it! Marinette, did you take it? Chloé said she saw you near it earlier…”
“I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry!” Marinette gushed, curling back up into a ball right there on the floor. “I just wanted to call home and talk to my parents and my pet cat, you know who I mean, I wanted to make sure he’s okay and safe and tell him I miss him and everything else that’s been going on and letters take too long and I was going to ask you but you weren’t there and I panicked and stole your phone and I’m sorry and I meant to give it back and…”
“Oh, okay,” Kim said. “Well you can totally use it to call home if you want. Here you go.”
She lifted her face out of her knees to see that he was smiling and holding the phone out at her.
“You’re… not mad at me?”
“What? Nah, don’t worry. I’m just glad I found it.”
Oh… he wasn’t annoyed. He wasn’t annoyed at all. Thank goodness.
The amount of relief that Marinette felt flooding back into her was enough to make her feel ashamed. Kim was one of her best friends, he always had been for as long as she could remember, of course he wouldn’t be annoyed!
“Thanks,” Marinette said, taking the phone. “I really am sorry though. I promise I’ll ask first next time.”
“Cool, that way I won’t worry that it’s lost forever!”
“Um… do you have Cheng’s phone number by any chance?”
“I do,” Alya said. She had been half-sitting, half-leaning on the edge of the desk, and was looking rather amused. Now she opened one of the drawers and got out a little book, tossing it at Marinette. “All the country phone numbers are in here. Knock yourself out.”
Marinette looked through and found the number for her home. Well, one of her homes anyway. But her family hadn’t been staying in Dupain for quite a while now, so Cheng it was.
She dialled the number into Kim’s phone – it was quite self-explanatory to use – and then listened as it rang.
“Greetings, Your Royal Highness, you have reached the kingdom of Cheng. What can we do for you today?”
Phew, it had worked! It seemed impossible that this little metallic box could really contact people instantaneously from thousands of miles away, but it did.
“Hello, this is actually Princess Marinette borrowing Kim’s phone,” she said. “Is it possible I could speak to Felix? Or my parents?”
“I’m afraid they are all asleep right now.”
Drat – the time zones! How could she have forgotten? There was no point waking them up just for a chat, nothing was urgent.
“Never mind, I’ll call some other time,” she said quickly. “Thank you.”
“You are very welcome. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight…”
She handed the phone back to Kim, feeling her heart breaking. It had been so long since she had last spoken to Adrien, and letters were far too dangerous to send, even under the Felix pseudonym. Every second spent apart was just hurting her, so much! At least if he was definitely safe, she wouldn’t mind so much. She missed her parents too, after all. But Adrien… nothing was safe for him. She couldn’t help worrying.
“I can just lend you this some other time too,” Kim suggested, offering a helpful little smile.
“Thanks,” Marinette said, trying to smile back.
“You okay?”
She nodded. She was okay, really, she was. “Just missing my cat a lot.”
Kim leaned down to give her hair a quick ruffle. “You’ll get to see him again soon, I’m sure.”
Thinking about Adrien was not going to help her feel better. She cleared her throat and said, “By the way, how are you and Max getting along?”
It was so sweet to see the sudden glimmer in Kim’s eyes, that blush lighting up his face. At least Kim was happy in love. Good for him. It shouldn’t have to be so painful.
“We’re getting along awesome!” he said, the smile on his face much bigger now. “He’s so cute, and he’s the one who gave me this heart badge I’ve been wearing, and I just can’t believe he likes me back, and he’s just so adorable and amazing and…”
He was staring off into space with a dreamy expression. Marinette couldn’t help but giggle a little. Kim had always secretly been a dreamy dork for as long as she had known him, despite him trying to act otherwise, so it was nice to see him finally embrace this side of himself thanks to Max.
“…I should probably stop now,” Kim said eventually, blushing. “Sorry. I just like him a lot. Um, I’m gonna leave now…”
“See you later, say hi to Max for us,” Alya said, a smirk on her face.
“W-what? Who said I was gonna go see Max right now?”
“No one. But you are, aren’t you?”
“Maybe…”
“Oh, just go hang out with your boyfriend already!”
Kim did not need to be told twice. He sped off out of the room with his phone. Alya immediately wheeled round to face Marinette.
“Sentenced to execution, huh?”
“I was just panicking a lot earlier, I’m sorry,” Marinette mumbled. “I know Kim wouldn’t really do anything like that…”
“That being said, maybe don’t steal people’s phones next time?”
Marinette nodded. “I will never steal another phone in my life. I promise.”
“Good.”
Kim did indeed go to see Max, though it was partially for practical reasons too. The poisoned chocolates were still looming on his mind, and any second spent not in someone’s company or not doing homework, all he could think about was how much danger he was in. Here in daylight hours it seemed so much more far-fetched – someone who he had never even met was trying to kill him! But it was still terrifying. More so, now that there had been time for it to sink in.
At least Max’s calming influence would help. Spending time with anyone would be preferable to spending time alone with nothing to do, really. And plus, having a sweetheart was really quite nice so far, so he may as well go talk to him…
“Kim, just the person I wanted to see!” Max said as soon as he opened the door. “I’ve been doing some research about the International Alliance and I think it would be beneficial for you to learn about it in more detail.”
So Max was going to talk to him about nerdy things? Yes! Kim just loved listening to Max’s precious voice, he always had done even before falling in love with him. Something about it was just so… soothing. Magical.
“Come in, sit down.”
Max held Kim’s hand and pulled him into the room. It was clear that Max had been doing a lot of research indeed – there were books and pieces of paper strewn all over the floor, not enough space for the desk to hold everything. They sat down on the floor leaning against the side of the bed, much like the other night in Alya’s room.
“If you’re going to join the International Alliance, you have to know a bit about how it works,” Max began. He was still holding onto Kim’s hand, his thumb brushing over it lightly, which was a little distracting. Kim ignored it and tried to focus. “Although the country that founded it was Alix’s, that was a long time ago and leadership has changed hands several times due to popular vote. Currently the leader is Queen Sol of Nubia.”
Kim nodded. He remembered Queen Sol very well. She was that kind, motherly one who had been at the peace conference and watched the lacrosse match. Thank goodness the International Alliance had someone like her as a leader, someone nice, someone who already liked Kim despite his troublemaker personality.
“The International Alliance has several member states that are rather more influential than the rest,” Max continued. “These are the ones whose leaders you should talk to, to get them to agree that Lê Chiến would be an excellent new member to the group. The countries you need to work on ‘impressing’, as such, would be mine, Alix’s, Queen Sol’s, and possibly the Lahiffe Kingdom too. You don’t have to worry about Alix, obviously, she’s already on your side, and I’m sure both Nino and I can get our families to agree. It’s Queen Sol who you will need to work on.”
That wasn’t so bad. At the peace conference she had even said that maybe Kim’s country would be a part of the International Alliance someday. Surely it wouldn’t be very hard to persuade her.
“Unfortunately the new member initiations do not officially take place until September, at which point we will be back at school, and of course you would have to avoid dying before then. But you can get all the paperwork sorted out earlier, such as in the spring and summer holidays, so then you don’t have to worry about it. And of course, I will be coming with you in the spring holidays to help you with anything that you need.”
Kim gave Max’s hand a little squeeze. “You’d really do that for me?”
Max smiled fondly at him, squeezing his hand in return. “Of course I would. I love you.”
How… how could Max just say something like that so casually? Kim was half sure that his brain was melting, or burning, or malfunctioning, or something, and Max was just too sweet, too good for him…
“Oh, and another thing. The spring dance is still a month or so away, I know that, but I would very much like to go with you, considering that we’re sweethearts now and it’s customary.”
Max was asking him to the dance? Kim had known they would be going together, but it was still so far away. And Max was asking him already. Already! And in that typical, matter-of-fact Max style!
“Kim?” Max gave him a nudge with his elbow. “I think I killed you. You’re blushing a lot. It’s very cute.”
Cute!!! Max had called him cute!!!
“Yes!” Kim said suddenly. “Um… yes. I’ll go to the dance with you. Of course.”
“Fantastic! I know it’s a proper formal dance so we won’t be able to do that jive-swing thing you treated Chloé and I to at the opening for the school’s new wing, but it’ll still be better to go with you than with anyone else.”
Why was every single word Max was saying just so nice? Kim would never tire of it. He watched as Max leaned his head on Kim’s arm, the sweetest little smile on his face, felt Max absent-mindedly fiddling with their intertwined fingers, so soothing, so calming, like the world of poison and assassination and war was a million lightyears away.
But still, as flustered as he was, he had to say something. Max wasn’t the only smooth one around, of course.
“Are you gonna wear those green robes you wore at the Peace Ball?” he asked. “’Cause honestly, you looked amazing, and I don’t think I quite managed to tell you properly.”
Max chuckled. “I will if you want me to.”
“I don’t mind!”
“Well then, I will.”
Kim glanced at the clock – he had been planning on going to the gym around this time, though not the treadmills of course. Marinette’s phone theft had distracted him for a while and he was behind schedule. Well, time to get back on track!
He scooped Max into his arms and stood up. “I’m going to the gym, you wanna come with me?”
Max was looking up at him in silence, totally starstruck. Haha, yes! Flustered Max! He had done it! Maybe he should pick up Max like this more often.
“You don’t have to actually do any exercise,” he added, before leaning much closer and whispering, “you can just watch me work out. I’ll be wearing sporty clothes. I know I’m not the only one who think tank tops look good on people, right?”
He put on a dazzling smile and raised an eyebrow for maximum effect. It seemed to have worked, since Max was staring up at him rather dreamily and still seemed too stunned to say anything. Finally Max laughed a little and hid his face in the fabric of Kim’s shirt.
“Alright, I’ll go to the gym with you, I can’t say no when you’re giving me that look…”
“What, this look?” He waited until Max was looking at him again before winking at him as charismatically as he could. Max just started laughing again.
“Oh, Kim! For the record, you don’t need to try to impress me, I’m already impressed. Though your attempts are very cute.”
Max had called him cute again! People very rarely called him that, or at least, not since he was a little kid. Once he got older he was considered far too much of a rebel to be cute. But Max… Max thought he was cute…
And now Max put his arms around his neck and said, “So are we going to the gym then, sweetie?”
Pffffff. Sweetie was such a lame nickname. Kim tried to ignore the fact that he was the one who had started calling Max that in the first place, just saying it without thinking. It was lame. So very lame, and adorable, and cheesy, and absolutely perfect for a precious, beautiful sweetheart like Max…
“Yeah,” Kim said, holding Max a little closer. “But I’m not carrying you all the way there.”
“That’s fair enough. I’m sure I can walk all that way. I’m not quite that unfit, you know.”
“You’re perfect, that’s what you are.”
Seeing Max’s flustered little smile sent his heart soaring. A little reluctantly, he put him back down and settled for holding his hand instead. Part of him wanted to kiss Max again, but they had already kissed three times in the past three days, was that considered too much? Was he allowed to kiss him again? Would that be too cheesy? Was he acting like some stereotypical teenager for wanting more kisses?
He needn’t have worried. Max, almost as if he knew what Kim was thinking, stretched up onto tiptoes and gently kissed him once more. It was too good, too addicting, but Kim pulled away before he would never be able to. He was supposed to be taking his sweetheart to the gym, not standing here kissing him!
“Let’s just go,” he said, running a hand through his hair and wondering if Max could tell how weirdly high he felt after every kiss. It was something he doubted he could put into words. Instead he held Max’s hand tight and pulled him along with him, out of the door and towards the gym.

30 Days of You and Me: Day 17
AO3
The next day, Rina found herself sitting at the kitchen table, unable to concentrate. She’d brought her laptop and a couple of data pads she’d borrowed from the university library down here, so that she could take advantage of the bright afternoon sun pouring in through the open windows. Perhaps she’d be better able to concentrate if she went out to the porch. Or maybe if she made a cup of tea.
Rina groaned, and flopped her forehead to the table, the timber sun-warmed under her skin. What was the point? Apparently, Felix had her under some sort of spell, because she couldn’t get him out of her head. Mind control was more likely, since magic wasn’t real, and Psy were. She’d have to ask Sascha when she next saw her. It was true that changeling mental shields were nigh on impossible to breach, but who knew if Felix had a touch of Psy blood in him that allowed him to squirrel his way into her thoughts? Perhaps she should talk with Ashaya about this theory. If anyone would know about latent genetics, it would be the brilliant Ashaya Aleine.
She banged her head gently against the table. Of course it wasn’t mind control, either. No, it was simply good, old-fashioned lust. She’d gone to him yesterday, unable to resist the beautiful thing that was growing between them. Being so close to him had been wonderful. Breathing in his scent, seeing that beautiful smile, the rumble of his wolf wrapping around her; it had been familiar and brand new all at once. The skin privileges had been a happy bonus. A very happy bonus. Aside from being delightful in and of themselves, they’d been enough to quiet the sexual hunger of her beast… for now. But that hunger wasn’t gone. She had a feeling that the inferno between Felix and herself wouldn’t simply disappear after they’d had sex. No, things weren’t as simple as that anymore.
She glanced over at her cactus, sitting proudly in its jaunty red pot, in the centre of the table. The peace lilies she’d moved over to a side table near the giant floor cushions they had in lieu of couches.
She knew Felix was playing for keeps. No matter his position in the hierarchy, Felix had made it clear from day one that he was serious, that he wanted a long-term relationship. And for the first time in her life, Rina was… okay with that. She’d come back from her roaming several months ago, the mind of the leopard, if not calmer, at least clearer. It was the leopard’s clarity she used now to focus herself – in both her training as a soldier, and her studies in actuarial science.
But a forever kind of relationship? It hadn’t been something she’d seriously ever considered. Until Felix.
Glancing over at the cactus again, the petals from its pretty pink flowers creating a carpet over the soil, she sighed. She should be taking advantage of this uncommonly quiet afternoon, not mooning over a stupid boy. She opened the lid of her laptop, and got to work.
… And was interrupted by a knock on her door ten minutes later.
Scenting the packmate on the other side, she called out, “It’s open!”
Mercy walked in a moment later, a smile on her face, her smooth movements speaking of the confidence of her leopard.
Rina smiled in welcome, a little confused as to why Mercy was here, but always glad for the company of Pack. Because Pack was family, and family was always welcome.
“I was just about to put the kettle on,” Rina said. Her ten minutes of work could kindly be labelled as unproductive. An afternoon pick-me-up would not go amiss. She got up from the table, and gave the sentinel a hug. Despite Mercy being only a few years older than her, the leopard that was Rina’s other half instantly calmed in her presence. It recognised Mercy’s own dominance, gave her the respect she deserved because of her position in the hierarchy. And as one of the pack’s highest-ranked members, that was a lot of respect. But it was more than that. Mercy was one of the most stable people in the pack, had been that way as long as Rina could remember. Her mating with SnowDancer’s most senior lieutenant had only enhanced that quality. The way Mercy’s animal was so comfortable in its own skin soothed her own beast.
“Tea would be perfect,” Mercy replied, following Rina into the kitchen. She grabbed two mugs from a cupboard as Rina filled an old-fashioned kettle with water, and placed it on the stove. It had been an odd quirk of her mother’s, the use of the antiquated utensil. The small act of using it still made Rina feel a little closer to her, to this day.
“How are the pupcubs?” Rina asked, grinning. All of DarkRiver and SnowDancer couldn’t wait for the birth Mercy and Riley’s babies.
Mercy beamed. “Wonderful.”
Mercy was one of the strongest women Rina knew, and it was fascinating to see such open joy at her impending motherhood. Rina was nowhere near ready to have cubs of her own, but seeing Mercy this way gave her food for thought. Maybe you could be both a hard ass, and a mother… because even though she was carrying multiple tiny lives inside her, Mercy Smith was no less dangerous, no less deadly.
“Keenan and Ashaya baked me an entire batch of cookies,” Rina said. She grabbed the container off a bench, and put several on a plate, taking it to the table.
Mercy dropped two teabags into the mugs as Rina shut her laptop, and placed it and the data pads to the side, out of the way.
“And Dorian didn’t steal any?” Mercy asked.
The kettle whistled, and Rina poured the steaming water into the mugs. “Milk?” she asked.
Mercy shook her head, no. They both walked to the dining table, and sat down, the steam dancing in between them.
“I got to them before he came back from his shift,” Rina replied.
“Smart,” Mercy nodded. “Cute cactus.” She took a sip of her tea.
Rina took a sip of her own scalding tea, to avoid replying. She looked over at the cactus, and internally sighed.
“Thanks,” she said. If Mercy thought that she was going to bring up her wolf all by herself…
“Your wolf has a rather eccentric idea of courtship.”
Rina almost choked on her next sip. Mercy’s eyes danced over the edge of her cup, the cat’s amusement clear.
“Does the entire pack have nothing better to do than gossip?” Rina snarled. She’d never thought of herself as a particularly private person, quite comfortable with the way the pack found out practically everything. Hell, she enjoyed hearing the latest gossip travelling on the pack grapevine as much as the next leopard.
Mercy laughed, unrepentant. “Tell me about him.”
Rina looked up from her teacup. “Are you asking as a sentinel, or as a nosy packmate?”
Mercy reached over and placed a warm hand over one of Rina’s, where they cradled her mug on the table. “I’m asking as someone who understands what it’s like to fall head over heels for a wolf.” She gave Rina’s hand a small squeeze.
“Head over heels is a bit of an overstatement,” Rina muttered.
“Can I touch your cactus?”
“No!”
Mercy gave a knowing grin.
Rina sighed. Okay, so she obviously cared for Felix more than she was willing to let on.
“He’s… wonderful,” she mumbled.
Mercy nodded. “What’s holding you back? You’ve never been shy about men before.”
“We’re… things are… it’s complicated,” she finished lamely. God, why couldn’t she just come out and say it? Well, she knew why. The difference between their dominance was holding her back in more ways than one. It was a slap to the face to realise that she was petty enough that one of those reasons was because she was worried about what others would think of their relationship.
“If you’re worried about pack stuff, it’s not an issue,” Mercy said. “You’ll be DarkRiver, and your wolf SnowDancer. No one’s going to demand that you change your allegiance – or prove your loyalties.”
Rina gave a small smile in thanks. She had been a little worried about having to prove herself all over again. It seemed as if she’d spent a lot of her life trying to prove herself. First, that she could take care of both herself and Kit after their dad had died, then as a hot-headed novice, and now as a junior soldier, able to balance both her training and her university studies. She knew that she was capable of becoming senior soldier one day. She just had to show everyone else, too.
“… That’s not all of it,” Rina said quietly. She figured that she should take advantage of Mercy’s advice and support. That’s what Pack did, helped each other. “It’s… there’s a huge dominance gap between us.”
Mercy frowned. “You’re the more dominant one?”
Rina nodded. She took a large gulp of her cooling tea.
“And he’s not okay with that?” There was a dangerous edge to Mercy’s voice.
“No!” Rina said, a little alarmed. God, she didn’t want to accidentally set the wrath of Mercy Smith on poor Felix. Especially since he didn’t deserve that at all. “He seems fine with it, actually.” And he had. Not once had Felix indicated that he found her strength a problem, that it undermined his own masculinity and sense of self in any way. Hell, he seemed to like her for it. “He’s a submissive.”
“Ah.” Mercy leaned back in her chair, contemplative. “That explains a lot of your hesitation.”
“It does?” Rina asked, bemused. “You don’t think I’m being snooty and petty?”
“No, I think you’re being practical and mature. We’re not human, Rina. Our animals have to be happy with our choices, too.”
Rina nodded, understanding what Mercy was saying.
“What does your leopard think of him?”
“It wants to pet him all over,” she admitted. “But it’s also worried about the dominance gap.” For perhaps the first time in her life, Rina’s leopard was being confusing. Usually, the animal thought in far more black and white terms, its decisions more clear-cut.
“Hmm.” Mercy tapped her cup in thought. “Who exactly is your wolf, Rina?” Rina hesitated. Up until now, her courtship with her wolf had been a private indulgence, despite it becoming clear that her packmates knew far more than she’d thought. Fucking Kit and his big mouth. Saying his name to someone else somehow made everything seem more real. And maybe that’s just what she needed.
“His name’s Felix,” she said, staring intently at her cup. Mercy was right. It was so unlike her to be so shy about a man. It shouldn’t be different with Felix, but it was.
“SnowDancer’s chief horticulturalist?” Mercy asked, her eyebrows raised. “Where on earth did you find him?”
“He found me, actually,” Rina mumbled.
“He pursued you?” The disbelief in Mercy’s voice even more apparent.
“There’s no need to sound so surprised,” Rina muttered.
Mercy had the decency to smile apologetically. “Sorry, Reen. I guess I never pegged him for the type. He always seemed so quiet.”
“You’ve met him before?”
Mercy nodded. “I bumped into him while helping out during the replanting.” There had only been one instance to date that could be referred to as “the replanting”. Sienna Lauren’s X-fire had saved them all during that battle. Rina had missed out on the project to help regenerate the denuded area however, since she’d gone roaming only a few days after Henry Scott’s attack.
“I can see why he’s got you so interested. He’s a beautiful man.”
Rina frowned, her leopard growling in warning. “Aren’t you happily mated?”
Mercy laughed. “I’m mated, not blind.”
Rina’s frown deepened, the growl threatening to rumble out of her chest.
Mercy just grinned.
“He’s more than a pretty face,” Rina said, feeling the need to defend Felix. God, he must get that all the time, especially given his past modelling career. “He’s smart, and kind, and loyal, and – why are you laughing at me?” She could see Mercy trying to hold in her snickering, but failing miserably.
“I’m not laughing at you. I’m laughing at this entire situation.”
“What’s the difference?” Rina grumbled, grabbing a cookie, and slouching a little in her chair.
“What’s worrying you, Rina? It’s clear as day that you like Felix. And it’s even clearer that he likes you back.”
“But the dominance –”
Mercy held up a hand, halting her words. “Hear me out, okay? Yes, the difference in dominance is an issue. But truth be told, it was an issue for a lot of successful couples. And yes, in most of those cases the female is not more dominant, but who’s to say it can’t work? Every relationship has its challenges. This is just one of yours.”
The heart of the leopard couldn’t help but grab onto this kernel of hope. “Do you really think we could make it work?”
Mercy shrugged. “I think you’re already making it work.”
Rina thought about this. The statement had the ring of truth to it. She’d gone to him yesterday, just because she’d missed him for those days they’d been giving each other space. Hell, Rina had to be honest. They hadn’t seen each other because he’d been respecting her request for some time to think.
“Are skin privileges a problem?” Mercy asked.
Rina shrugged. “We’re taking things slow.”
“I can sense that’s frustrating your leopard to no end.”
Rina shrugged again. “Neither leopard nor human want to share skin privileges with anyone else.”
Mercy grinned. “There’s something to be said about anticipation. Enjoy the chase, Rina.”
Rina smiled in thanks.
“Thanks for the tea,” Mercy said. “I have to get to CTX.” CTX was the communications company in which DarkRiver held a large share. Mercy worked there, too, on top of all her responsibilities as sentinel and SnowDancer liaison. Rina had no idea when she ever had any spare time.
“Thanks for coming by… and for talking,” Rina said as she walked Mercy to the door. “Did Dorian put you up to it?”
Mercy gave Rina a hug, just before stepping out of the door. Automatically, Rina returned the hug, finding comfort in the easy skin privileges of Pack.
“He may have mentioned something,” Mercy said with a sly grin. “But like I said, I know what it’s like to fall for a wolf.”
And you know what it means to look after Pack, Rina thought. Both Dorian and Mercy had realised that Rina had a lot on her mind, and had helped in their own ways.
“I’m looking forward to meeting your sexy wolf,” Mercy said, giving a final wave before heading towards the tree line.
Rina rolled her eyes, but waved as Mercy melted into the trees. God, her packmates could be as nosy as those pesky wolves sometimes. But it all came from a place of love.
Rina headed back to the kitchen table, picked up the two used mugs to put them in the sink. Things were a little clearer for the leopard, thanks to Mercy’s little chat. But now I have to decide if I’m really serious about this, Rina thought grimly. Felix was… amazing. Question was, could they really do this?
Perhaps. Just perhaps…
They could.

What greater holiday is there than a day that celebrates the strong, beautiful women who raised us? Go ahead, try to think of one, Ill wait. 4th of July you say? Okay. Anyway, Mothers Day really does serve as a reminder that we should be really really nice to all the moms in our lives because we too may be mothers some day and we dont want a bitchy daughter who doesnt appreciate us. So its good karma to get them a gift, right? A betchs mom is the most important lady in her life. Shes given us endless words of wisdom on fuckboys, shes reluctantly allowed us to borrow steal her clothes, and she always picked us up from school when we were feeling sick. Shes molded us into the betch we are today, and for that we are forever grateful. To show her how much you love her, were giving you a list of all our favorite brands/gift ideas that are perfect for every type of mom in your life. Welcome to the Betches Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2017.
FOR THE MOM WHO STILL GRABS CANDY FOR HERSELF AT THE CHECKOUT COUNTER
Hats off to this mom, she still answers to her sugar cravings and DGAF. Elevate her candy standards with Sugarfinas Sweetest Mom Candy Bento Box and watch it disappear within 20 minutes of her opening it. If shes into the juicing craze like any betchy mom, feel free to gift her a bottle of Pressed Juicery x Sugarfinas green juice gummy bears. Its the perfect candy she can eat while convincing herself that shes healthy AF. These are the chicest and yummiest candies ever, and Im sure this mom wont mind if you steal a few for yourselfmaybe
FOR THE ZEN AF MOM YOU CAN ALWAYS VENT TO
This mom is amazing because she has the patience to listen to us talk shit about irrelevant shit for hours and somehow make us feel 10 times better in the end. Philosophy is a fave brand of ours, not just because of their amazing products, but also because of their values. Its the wellness brand version of the mom who always sends you inspirational articles and makes sure you never leave the house without food in your stomach. To reward this woman for putting up with your crazy ass, give her the Moments of Grace boxthe perfect set of shower, fragrance, and moisturizing products.
FOR THE MOM WHO KNOWS HOW TO MAKE A HOUSE A HOME (AND WONT LET YOU EAT ON THE COUCH)
This mom might have come off as a little strict and slightly neurotic due to her strict house rules you lived under as a young betch, but you now understand it was all worth it for the image of a perfect home. Shes classy, shes elegant, and shes not afraid to tell you to fuck off when you deserve it. Giving her a Venus Et Fleur box is not just giving her clich flowers for Mothers Day, its giving her a centerpiece for her precious home. These are the most beautiful flowers and they last for an entire year. There are several colors to choose from so you can def find one to match the living room couch. PS, theyre having a pop-up shop at Saks specifically for Mothers Day, so go with your siblings and get her the most Instagrammable flowers ever.
FOR THE MOM WHO WANTS TO BE INA GARTENS BEST FRIEND
This mom spends half her life watching the Food Network and the other half begging her husband to agree to redoing the kitchen. As such, she takes great pride in all her kitchen essentials, and each time you come home theres a new blender or toaster. Although you have barely any space for a wooden spoon in your apartments kitchen and deem it acceptable to microwave water for your tea, this mom would rather be caught dead than without at least 25 different spatula options. Cuisinart is the perfect place to find the best and newest kitchen products that this mom will die over, like the QuicKettle and the PrepExpress. If you get her any of their products, I foresee massive amounts of free food in your future.
FOR THE MOM WHOS NOT AFRAID TO BLACK OUT AT FAMILY DINNERS
This mom is always invited to hang with you and your friends whenever shes in town. As a betch who can single-handedly create a party out of thin air, her Mothers Day gift needs to suit her hostess needs. Kim Crawford Wine is the perfect bottle to whip out on any given occasion, and with summer around the corner, it is officially ros season. Their website has tons of amazing recipes, including fros, sothis mom will def exploit a bottle of Kim Crawford ros for all its worth. If she also happens to be an Insta whore, were sorry in advance.
FOR THE MOM WHO GIFTED YOU YOUR WITTY SENSE OF HUMOR
This mom has passed on her good genes of having no filter and always has the entire family in tears at Thanksgiving dinner (like, the good kind). We were always afraid of what kind of backhanded bitchy comment she might make at our frenemies when we were younger, but we loved her anyway and secretly enjoyed it. If shes begging you not to get her anything this year, at least get her the perfect card from Shop Betches.
FOR THE MOM WHOS PUTTING OFF BOTOX FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE
This mom has had perfect skin her entire life and is now in overdrive doing everything she can to keep it that way. Washing her face isnt just something she does a couple times a day, its now an insane obsession. To make sure this mom is getting the most out of her incessant face cleansing, get her the Soniclear brush from Michael Todd Beauty. The antimicrobial brush stays cleaner and fresher for longer, and cleans deep into your pores. Lets be real, youre probs going to get one for yourself as well. Also, since shes probs big into blending, you should get her the Sonicblend brush to apply her makeup flawlessly.
FOR THE MOM WHO WON’T LET YOU ANYWHERE NEAR HER KITCHEN
This mom has a panic attack whenever there’s too many people in the kitchen (which for the most part means if there’s anyone in there besides her). She’s a firm believer in “a place for everything and everything in its place”, which as a betch you can only relate to on the level of your apartment’s bar cart. Joseph Joseph has the perfect modern organizational kitchen shit that will perfectly encourage this mom’s obsessive compulsive habits, but at least the kitchen will look sleek AF so who cares. We love their Nesting Bowl Sets and their super chic Worktop Savers.
FOR THE MOM WHO ALWAYS FALLS ASLEEP WITH HER IPAD ON HER FACE
This mom can’t get enough of her Facebook feed and loves to send you videos of dogs at all hours of the night. She probably thinks she’s squinting at all her screens because she’s old, but really it’s because no ones eyes should not be staring at this shit all day. Felix Gray glasses are v trendy-looking and protect your eyes from the blue light emitted from all our electronics’ screens, so mom won’t have to fight through the headaches to continue scrolling through Insta anymore. Our offices fan favorites are the Turing and Nash frames.
FOR THE MOM WHO JUICED BEFORE IT WAS COOL
This mom has been a juice drinking yoga freak since before you were born, and she’s always looking for new ways to show the world that she’s healthier and has more of her shit together than anyone else. Daily Harvest delivers fresh soups, smoothies, chia parfaits and overnight oats to your door on your schedule. This way, mom can get her fav smoothies delivered at 3pm just in time for her to consume before her 5pm spin class. If you didn’t think eating healthy could be convenient, neither did we, but here we are.
FOR THE MOM WHO HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEVER KNEW YOU NEEDED
This mom may seem like a hoarder, but in reality she’s just a collector of random shit that will impress people. Totally different. Also, we are not ones to talk about hoarding as evidenced by our closets. Anyway, Tovolo is the perfect place to shop for this mom because while it’s super fun for us to look through all the fun kitchen gadgets they have, it will be that much more fun for her because she’ll know exactly what to do with whatever you get her. “OMG, skull ice molds?! This will be perfect for Debbie’s divorce party!” We love their Clear Ice System and Stainless Steel Cocktail Shaker.
FOR THE MOM WHO ALWAYS LOSES SHIT
As a young mom, this one relied on her children to remind her of her dentist appointments or whenever she accidentally left the stove on. Though shes the most scatter-brained person you know, shes so lovable youve never (really) faulted her for it. Plus, her lack of having her shit together taught you how to be a proactive, multitasking betch. To make this moms life a little easier as her brain is only getting worse with age (sorry but its true), get her Tile for Mothers Day so you never have to get another phone call about her missing keys again. All she has to do is attach the little Tile to whatever it is she loses every day and connect it to her phone through Bluetooth and voil, when she needs to find either thing she can make em ring (I did not do that on purpose but I apologize).
FOR THE MOM WHO REALLY WANTS TO LOSE 3 POUNDS BUT HATES THE GYM
This mom might sound very familiar because she is all of us. She would much rather spend an hour at book club talking shit than hitting the gym, but the thought of showing up to Southampton for the summer in her current state is freaking her out. Do her a favor and buy her HUM Nutritions Skinny Bird, a natural weight loss supplement. If youre feeling really generous, they also have a Turn Back Time supplement that helps with skin cell protection. Time to pop some pills!
FOR THE BRAND NEW MOM
This mom has been MIA because she is now with child and a real human and also struggling to get more than 4 hours of sleep at night. Brighten up her day by getting her little Betch In Training a baby onesie from Shop Betches.
FOR THE MOM WHO IS ALWAYS ON THE GO
This mom has always been your business betch inspiration, as youve admired her for balancing her work and home life so well. Despite being super important at her company, she somehow found the time to proofread all your high school papers and prepped you for every job interview youve ever had. Soap & Glory is the perfect cheeky and empowering cosmetic brand that this mom absolutely NEEDS in her life. Since shes always running from mandatory family breakfast to business meeting, get her some of our favorites like their Rushower Dry Shampoo and their Hand Food hydrating hand cream.
FOR THE MOM WHO ALWAYS KEEPS IT SIMPLE
This mom is a woman of few words, but always knows what to say. You can find her in the yoga studio in the morning and hosting a charity dinner party by night. Shes the one who taught you that doing things for others is like, important. Not one for flashy things but a lover of the arts, this mom would love a piece from Adam Marc Jewelry. Our favorite pieces are the Kim Star Choker and the Rafaeli 14k Gold Bar Necklace. Use code BETCHES20 for 20% offyour mom will never have to know you didn’t pay full price.

Diana is absolutely coming that way in a dead run, with the cat still in her arms. She obviously hasn't gotten much sleep, and from the looks of her she literally had never stopped looking for him. She does slow down and gently set the cat down before absolutely throwing herself at him, hugging him tightly. "You scared me!"
Felix hugged her back tightly cradling her head in his hand and sighed a bit. He was a little scared that Diana would get upset with him for falling asleep after screenshotting her confession. He pulled away gently and looked at her. "Looks like I did more than scare you, but I am sorry I didn't call sooner. I called Ruby and I thought about calling Hannah but I haven't talked to her in almost a year. But still I shouldn't been better with that."

Paranoia sits down next to Felix with a sigh, coming basically out of nowhere. "Okay, out with it. What's going on? And don't pull any of this 'I don't remember you, why should I tell a stranger' crap. No bullshitting. You may not remember me, but you should have enough sense to listen to everyone around you telling you that we know you." - ( @storystartsanew )
Felix was sitting alone, as usual reading over a blog post. He raised his brow when Paranoia had her say and scooted a bit away from her uncomfortably. A face he could put with the screams in his nightmares, considering that he might as well hear her out.
"I don't doubt that you did know me before the memory loss, but I can assure you there's nothing going on with me Miss." He threw on his persona for her, not a crack to be seen.

Open Starter: Ghost of Me
Felix had come to the ball with Diana but at some point, they had split because Diana wanted to talk to some of her friends. Felix let out a soft sigh and walked out on the balcony. Not only was he avoiding Hannah be couldn’t even talk to Ruby because she made him seem like he was shitty for feeling the way he did.
He had originally decided to put all that baggage at the back of his mind though for Diana’s sake and for his reputation. One thing he did best was act and he was determined to have that part of his life go right even if it was for the night. “This would be a romantic place for a couple to have a New Year's kiss though.”

Solo Para (Felix/Ruby): The Forest Air Smells so Fresh
Felix was out at the Snuggly Duckling again this time completely sober. He was thinking about his lost memories and had considered retracing his steps but there were way too many steps to retrace and none of them had any real significant meaning plus he still wasn’t aware of who he was retracing his steps for outside of Diana and Paranoia since they were the only ones to have confronted him out of all the voices he would hear and listen to the deaths of. He furrowed his brows in confusion as another person came into the bar and sat next to him with a sigh.
“I knew I would find you here, you tend to be a creature of habit when you’re upset about something.” The voice said and Felix turned to see Ruby next to him and smiled softly at the blonde.
“Aren’t you a little too young to be in a bar?” He asked teasingly. He hadn’t been in the best state of mind to see Ruby but having her around always felt nice because to some degree he knew his little sister could understand him and understand the changes he made in life due to their past cause she had to make those changes too, changes that neither of them wanted to be honest with themself on. “So why did you come out here by the way I am not drinking so there’s no need to sound the alarm and call house warden Diana. Plus I should be leaving soon I’ve bothered her enough.”
“I came to talk to you about that. I wanted to tell you that it’s okay not to remember people and you don’t have to keep yourself closed up because of it. You loved pushing people’s buttons when you could while still playing the nice guy. You genuinely loved everything you did for your fan club. You don’t have to stop that because of your amnesia, if it’s for your health I would understand but you haven’t cared about your health since you were like 8 and old habits die hard. Plus you still have those memories on you. “ Ruby told him with a small smile. “I’m tired of being the voice of reason and playing mediator too, I wanna go back to being a little sister. “ She started to whine playfully and rested her head on his shoulder.
“You know, I have to threaten your boyfriend now, you could have at least come here without a fading hickey. I’m not that careless, not that anyone is giving me hickeys in the first place. “ Felix shrugged as he patted Ruby’s head and then flicked her forehead. “I’ll take your advice but I don’t really want to talk to any of them right now. I’m still not okay too be dealing with that, there still not a lot I can grasp from that night.” Felix told her honestly while beating around the bush about his lazarus syndrome. As they talked out of the corner of his eye he could see a man going into the shadows of the bar and setting something up. He didn’t take it too seriously since this bar was filled with criminals, but what did catch his interest was how quickly the man left after staying in that corner for a good 10 minutes.
Felix looked at Ruby and smiled softly at her. “Before you head into your next speech, I’m gonna head to the bathroom.” Felix lied and walked towards the bathroom and when he saw that Ruby was distracted by the owner he turned around and walked over to where the man had been. As soon as he was in that corner he heard the sound of ticking, it was soft and barely noticeable. He crept over to it only to see a bomb attached to an old time watch. His eyes widened as he ran back over to the bar. “EVERYONE NEEDS TO LEAVE,THERE’S A-” In the middle of his warning the bomb went off and Felix subconciously grabbed Ruby and brought her to the ground shielding her. It wasn’t like the bomb was that big but that also wasn’t the problem, it was the fire that would be caused by the bomb.
It took Felix a minute to reorient himself after the bomb went off, his ears were ringing and everything was muted. His vision was hazy but the orange glow of the flames told everything he needed to know. He gently shook Ruby and called out to her but got no response, he didn’t even know if he was loud enough for her to hear him. He had gotten hit in the head with one of the bar stools from the initial blast and his head was bleeding slightly but he didn’t care. He knew he had to get Ruby out, he couldn’t have his nightmares become reality. He couldn’t lose his sibling for real like he did while under the spell. Gathering up all his strength he picked up Ruby, despite knowing he was more susceptible to getting smoke in his lungs standing up and weaved his way throught the burning building, getting other stragglers and helping them out along the way. After getting Ruby out he left her in the care of one of the other as he kept going back in to help others. He needed to do this, he felt like it was his only way to repent for those he didn’t save in his dreams the people he could remember the faces of. He almost went back in a third time until he was pulled back since others could tell that if he went back this time he wouldn’t come back out alive.
At first Felix protested, but then he was reminded that Ruby needed him so he went over to her and checked her pulse and her breathing while frantically texting Navy in the group chat, cause he knew that the boy wouldn;t ask questions when it came to his sister’s health. After that last message things started to go black for himself and all he could think was ‘Damn I never knew the forest air smelt so fresh.’

Solo Para: Same as Always
It was right after the events of the tower, after waking up and making the awkward ride the hospital with a bunch of strangers and his sister he was tired. After he was released from the hospital, he spent the next few days wanting to be alone with his thoughts. Every once in a while, he would start to hear voices again, none of them familiar to him anymore but for some reason it still hurt him to hear their voices sound so distressed.
Shaking off the thoughts of his prolonged he stood up with a grimace forgetting that he did in fact have a stab wound and did in fact die, until that good old sun drop flower in his DNA kicked in and ruined that whole dying plan. Of course, he made it a point for the doctors not to tell anyone that he had left the hospital as long as he took care of himself. He just wasn’t in the mood to hear about how worried the people who didn’t actually give a shit about him were. He had even free time in the hospital to read back on everything and feel bad. He grabbed his keys and locked the door before turning off all the lights in the apartment and opened up the window. He climbed out the window a bit wobbly and unstable, but he made it down and ran his hand through his hair. He should have been better at that, and he knew it but instead he was barely able to do as simple of a task as that and it frustrated him. Actually, everything frustrated him in this moment from the fact that piece of his memory was missing to the fact that his own twin seemed to believe nothing was wrong the entire month.
Felix knew a lot of this stuff was out of his control especially his memories, but he didn’t know how else to feel and it’s not like he was going to go to anyone to talk these feeling out. If he did the only person, he felt like he could be open with was his dad, who wasn’t the most reliable considering he wouldn’t be able to keep it a secret from their mother. He walked out to a field and laid down looking up at the moon. Crowned Prince Felician, a joke of a title. He wasn’t someone who earned it, in fact he only got said title cause Hannah’s wasn’t mentally stable at the time. Then there was the label and role he spent years curating ‘Kind and Caring Prince’ another title he didn’t deserve, not after he spent a month just trying to drown out the screams of others instead of helping them.
It took a minute for him to realize that he was crying, it was the first time in years that he actually cried. Who would have thought that even he would reach his breaking point, but after tonight he would pretend nothing happened. He didn’t want pity or people to pretend to care. He was okay, He was fine. It was the same thing he told himself back then when he decided to play into those roles he created. After tonight, things would go on the same as always.

Solo Para (Ada/Felix/Della): Lovelace
Ada sat there shell-shocked. She felt as if her heart had stopped beating and there was nothing in her head. She stared at her pet lynx, body crushed by the trailer that they used to live in and suddenly a heartwrenching scream came from her lips. There was a stabbing pain in her head as the connection she had to Lovelace was gone. She wasn’t open about it but Ada had experimented on Lovelace in her spare time back when she was working in England. Of course, what she did to Lovelace she did to herself, and in the end, she created a telepathic link to the cat and it had also become far more intelligent than normal.
She started to panic as she felt like a part of her was fading away and dying. This was the first time she had ever cared about a death. Ada had looked at the victims of genocide in the eye and felt nothing, even though they died because of her work and her ego. But here she was finally paying the price for her past by losing the thing she cared about the most outside of her work.
The air around her was foggy and slightly tinted blue from the toxins created by her. She didn’t mind if this was the way she would go out. She was okay with dying by her own poison because she no longer had the will to live right now. Ada closed her eyes and took in a breath when suddenly a hand grabbed her shoulder. She looked up and saw Felix Fitzherbert looking back at her with pity in his eyes.
“I know this is hard, I don’t know how you and your pet were but you can’t end your life here just because she’s gone. Plus if you die here, we’re gonna die because you’re the only one who can make the antidote and I have a little sister and my crush kinda hoping I won’t die. I don’t know about my twin 'cause I haven’t spoken to her in almost a year but that’s a can of worms we can open somewhere safe.” Felix told her and sat down beside her. He rubbed her back softly and looked around a bit worried about the air around them since they were breathing it in more and more.
“I’m not going. I can give you the instructions to make the antidote but this is where my story ends, it ends with Lovelace. Tell my parents I’m sorry, I was so focused on being better than The Jimmy Neutron and The Cindy Vortex I started playing God. I don’t regret the work I did or the millions I killed because why guilt trip myself? But I’m apologizing because of karma biting me in the ass.” She said as she started to reach out to her pet. Felix quickly grabbed her hand and turned her to face him.
“Fuck your shitty ass apology. You’re one of the worst people I have met after hearing you say that shit and I know quite a few in fact they’re my sister's friends because for some reason she decided to become besties with her bully. To each their own though, anyways I’m not letting you get out of this. Atone my living.” Felix pulled Ada to him and threw her over his shoulder. He stood up as Ada thrashed around. He was glad that both of them were weakened due to the poison because it wasn’t that hard to carry Ada while she was thrashing. But at the same time, he was weaker and that was a nuisance in this situation.
Ada thrashed around. He was glad that both of them were weakened due to the poison because it wasn’t that hard to carry Ada while she was thrashing. But at the same time, he was weaker and that was a nuisance in this situation.
Della had slipped in behind him and knocked Ada out by injecting her with a muscle relaxer and made sure that he was okay to carry her. “I’m sorry I was late and you had to deal with her alone for a bit. I had to make sure there was no one else around and that the toxins didn’t go that far. It seems like Morgiana was already here and dealt with that problem. She left a note, it had blood on it but she left it.” Della explained as she walked next to him. “You should go find your family as someone who has that power and freedom to do so.”
“And leave you to deal with your emotionally broken friend alone, what kind of guy would I be if I did that to you?” He asked joking around with her. She was right though, it was just that he was pretty stubborn and he had some idea of where Ruby was due to the tracker. He naturally assumed that she was with the Navy and was right since the tracker was moving, but he could be wrong. Along with that, he was also with her when things first went crazy so he wasn’t too worried. Then there was Diana, of course, he liked her, but he also assumed she wasn’t really worried about him and needed to fully sort out her feelings. Yes, they kissed but he wasn’t sure if she was okay with herself and her feelings on the inside. “They all need space right now and you two don’t have a lot of people to help you right now. From this past month, I learned that both of you decided to just run into death if no one watched you carefully. So here I am.”
“Here you are, Inessa was a better three musketeer than you though. She would just run into the fire with us.” Della smiled sadly.
“Been there done that.” He replied with a sigh. “We aren’t gonna die in like an hour right?”
“Nah I give it 48 to 72 hours with how much we breathed in.” She shrugged

Open Starter: Lost Memories
Felix sat on campus looking around, mentally he was going through his head who he may have forgotten and who he remembered. On the bright side it didn’t seem like it was very many people but at the same time it was awkward looking at the people who went out of their way to help him but him only recognizing one of them. And he won’t even get into the hurt and betrayal he felt that night too.
