Something funny that happened today if you need some distraction.

Okay so my boyfriend is a dork and he doesn't know about One Direction (or anyone from Hollywood for that matter). I wanted to talk to someone about everything going on, and since he HAS to listen to me,I was telling him about them, and I sent him pics of all the four members. Didn't send Liam's because I don't think I can bear it today. So I was explaining all the lore to him and just out of curiosity I asked him which members he thought looked the best. And he said Louis and Zayn and I was like!!!!

A day out and not so emotionally charged, I want to say that I think everyone should work to unpack their internalized fatphobia, but also their aversion to bugs. Yes, I recognize it's an extremely deep seated reaction for many of us, but your life will SIGNIFICANTLY improve once you can look at a bug or a representation of a bug without triggering a fight or flight response. I know it's hard, especially when the source of that aversion is related to personal trauma. I literally have this issue wrt cockroaches to the point where even the emoji can greatly upset me on a bad day, but it used to be a lot worse and applied to more bugs. Now I'm not exactly singing their praises every day, but I'm much less likely to have my day ruined by a surprise visitor. I can look at more things online without having my guard up. I can appreciate newer content for one of my Favorite Games.

You don't have to love bugs, but getting to a point where they are as inconsequential as like, a pigeon, is such a massive improvement in life.

But I think technically Alejandro is higher ranked than him (Ghost) right(?) So I'm not sure if that works entirely and 'L.t' seems to be something that other marines/or soldiers under their command picks up anyway (probably from Soap idk, but others do call Ghost that). Was it like, 'Simon' or 'Si'? I know he calls Ghost Simon occasionally and maybe the quick shutdown of Soap's sentence comes from Ghost wanting to keep the emotional distance from others. But considering the absolute vitriol of which Ghost says, nay spits, "That'll do." I wonder if Soap has gotten away with introducing Ghost with the stupidest names, like 'Ghostie' or 'Sisi', in the past 💀

but what interested me most was him saying the Hunted and Cold would be friends. I've never really thought about that pairing before but it does work. The Hunted's main thing being keeping the body alive could help balance out the Cold's general blasé nature when it comes to death, while being rational enough (focussing on his senses and what he knows is real) for the Cold to actually take him seriously. While the Cold being able to push the Hunted to act somewhat like the Stubborn, but slightly less strongly. He's confident that they can get the job done, and with the Hunted keeping them alive they could get a lot done without either really getting sick of the other. Just two reliable guys.

A little off topic but I think they'd work pretty well as a trio with Paranoid too, given a little time for Paranoid to get used to it. Cold's confidence plus Hunted's survival instinct could give him something reliable to work with, and I think he could help him by pointing out when they're going to far in either direction and going to get themselves hurt, as both can be rather single minded (on different things, mind you, but definitelythings that could leave them with blind spots) while Paranoid thinks of every possibility and could probably bring up flaws in any given plan that the others wouldn't notice, and at least Hunted would probably take it into consideration if its going to get them hurt or killed. Like a scared little peer reviewer of any plans the other two would execute

Life has settled into an easy rhythm. I do the things I’ve always done– even though there’s only me for the whole house, the house is much smaller than my old one, so it’s not hard to keep up with, even while pregnant.

As it turns out, being a leader at the Watcher’s Lens hall is pretty much a full time job without pay, so Javi makes ends meet in his free time by growing produce and selling it in the yard. He hopes that soon we’ll have a big farm, maybe even with chickens!

I help out by knitting little things he can sell alongside the produce.

The only bump so far is that I’m still getting used to the Watcher’s Lens after growing up Irisite. On the Great Blink I asked Javi what his resolutions were, and he said he didn’t make any since the Lens’ don’t celebrate the Blink.

Mariah: But couldn’t we make resolutions anyway? Resolutions are really good for planning goals for the year.

Javi: There’s no reason we can’t make resolutions any day of the year. Really, we should be resolving to be our best every single day, not just at the beginning of the year. 

Mariah: I suppose that makes sense. Just culture shock, I guess.

hey fujii do you wanna hear about a silly little thing i thought of earlier. so you know how in red/blue rescue team, eevee used to be in the "naive" category, whereas in explorers of sky, it's in the "jolly" category? it made me think about ribbons, specifically because of how the rescue team personality test describes the naive trait.

in rescue team, the naive type is described to be someone whos highly curious, and someone who likes rare things. their cheerful and carefree make everything fun for the people around them, but they also have the flaw of being childish, never sitting still, and always being on the move. (it also says that they might be selfish but i dont see that applying to ribbons tbh..)

it seems so oddly fitting for ribbons because her personality does show those traits in particular. she's a silly little thing and her bright cheery personality, and she is childish to some extent. and of course, can't forget her curiosity. especially with how curious she got when it came to dusknoir. and of course, we can't forget about the *actual* definition of naive. naivety in the sense of choosing to believe that dusknoir, despite how his aura flared with malice, bared no ill intent. to think that someone who is so great, so wise, so kind and caring could ever be capable of shattering her world apart.. that was naive. because she believed he was what she thought he was, and because it was her naivety that nearly got her and aimilios killed. you'd think she'd have learned from the drowzee incident where two kids displaying trust in a spur-of-the-moment stranger who coincidentally showed them kindness in their misfortune was a mistake, but i suppose that's what being a naive little child does to you.

Please, please, please everyone send up prayers for my sister Sochima!

She just gave birth to her 4th baby. Unfortunately, this’ll be her last child. His name is Solace, which is definitely what she needs from the Lord right now.

On top of that, Sochima and Ciaran have been stressed with their son Benjamin. Ben is 90% deaf in both ears and struggles with walking. He has a rare chromosome abnormality and they have yet to receive a proper diagnosis. Between the birth of Ben and little Solace, Sochima had several miscarriages, including an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in her getting an ovary removed. During her labor with Solace, she suffered an uterine rupture and had to undergo a hysterectomy. Sochima always said she would be willing to make sacrifices to make sure any children she conceived would have a chance at life. I’m so proud of her to have had so much faith in God to be able to do such a brave thing.

Sochima’s on bed rest for the forseeable future. Luckily her two oldest girls, Trinity and Hannah, are huge helps around the house. A few of our siblings have made trips to Henford to make sure Sochima’s alright, to help around the farm and to meet Solace. Thank you all for keeping my sister in your thoughts.
