AAAA!! HI! THANK YOU! I CAN FINALLY RANT ABOUT THE BLOG'S NAMESAKE!

Let me introduce to you my OC, Mothwitch!

(Art super graciously doodled by my friend who doesn't have any social media (that they want me to promote at least) sadly.)

🧠: What was their original character concept? Do they have any specific theming?

Moths are my favorite animals and Witches are my favorite aesthetic so that was what I built off of!

Narratively she is primarily based off of the West Virginian Mothman, having grayish skin, bright red eyes and very imposing silhouette, being that she's a staggering 7 feet (or 2.1 meters) tall!

However she is also partially based on the legend of The Bell Witch, which is reflected most clearly with her true name, Belladona "Belle" Batts, referencing both the Bell family and Kate Batts, the name of the witch/poltergeist that haunted the former!

Though her body's color scheme doesn't reflect it, her clothing is actually colored (somewhat) after the Polyphemus Moth (Antharaea Polyphemus) using more browns and yellows as well as dark purple/blues in parts like her hat and gloves.

🌠: What is their Afflatus? Why are they associated with that Afflatus?

Mothwitch's afflatus is Plant! She mostly deals in potions like Sotheby, and she lives (used to till she was recruited) in a cabin somewhere in the Appalachian mountains, specifically having an affinity for Sweet Maple forests and trees!
