Actually I'm gonna be real for a second "fear/anxiety manifesting as heightened aggression" is probably my favorite hc for werehog sonic like. That is my THING right here. I love this shit I wanna see more of it so bad

I think sonic should have random bouts of anxiety for seemingly no reason when he's a werehog. He's already a hedgehog, but at night he's even More Hedgehog, and hedgehogs are very anxious animals so it just makes sense

Thing is his anxiety manifests as heightened aggression. Which can definitely be. An issue. Especially if he's around ppl that don't know him. Makes him come across as meaner and more feral than he wants to be so he tries to keep himself calm but it is Very Hard

The best way for him to ease that anxiety is zoomies

#self reblog #it just FITS #it's like. the recontextualizing of the feral monstrousity typical of werewolf characters from bloodlust to fear. i love this #bc the thing is animals usually aren't aggressive like that. often it is a response to something they perceive as a threat. it's fear #either that or hunger #and i get that werewolves are more of a supernatural thing so they're not one-to-one with real animals #and a lot of the time their bloodthirst comes from hunger too. or at least that's how i've seen it phrased a lot. like insatiable hunger #but i prefer it being a fear response a lot more. it feels more. idk realistic??#it's werewolves so like it doesn't have to be but like #imagine if your body was transformed beyond recognition. and that transformation hurts like nothing you've ever experienced before #and it feels like your mind is changing too. your thoughts are clouded. maybe it's even becoming hard to understand the ppl around you #you're suddenly flooded with sensations stronger than anything you've never felt before and insticts unfamiliar to you #like. wouldn't you be scared. like scared out of your fucking mind. i know i would #tho maybe what interpretation you prefer depends on how you think the mind would be affected by lycanthropy #idk. it's like midnight rn and i just wanted to ramble abt werewolves #i think i lost the point of this somewhere lol
