Could we get headcanons for Arthur celebrating his S/O's birthday, please? It's my birthday today and I was hoping to spend it with my fav!

I started writing this as soon as you sent it in because I don’t wanna miss your bday but I don’t know when your day is over so here you go skskskk I hope you like it and I hope you have a lovely day!

Arthur barely remembers his own birthday even at the best of times.

But yours?

Oh, honey, he’s all over it.

He prepares months in advance and sacrifices packets of cigarettes, food, that vintage jazz collection VHS… he cuts and scraps and scrimps for as long as he can, pulling extra shifts and honestly exhausting himself just for you.

You know that something is going on, you know, but there’s little you can do or say, because you’re not supposed to suspect a thing and Arthur carries out something no matter what once he’s set his mind to it.

Instead, you can only take care of him in the months leading up to your birthday, knowing what he’s doing but having to keep it a secret. 

It’s a delicate game to play, but you do it every year and practice makes perfect.

Finally, with Arthur seeming to be more and more exhausted and with you half wanting for your birthday to just be over already so that Arthur will let himself rest but also really excited to see what he’s up to, your big day rolls around.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a milestone birthday or any other birthday, Arthur will go all out as far as he can to celebrate the anniversary of the day you came into the world.

He would wake you up super early on accident.

Arthur was sneaking around the apartment cooking you breakfast - something simple but filling, like pancakes or maybe an omelette - and being as quiet as he could be, but he tripped over the coffee table or bounced off the doorway on the way into the bedroom… 

And promptly woke you up.

So a pouty, apologetic Arthur sat on the bed beside you as he leaned over to pepper kisses all over your face is the sight which greets you on your birthday, and that alone has made your entire day.

There would be a rush to eat breakfast “so it doesn’t get cold, Y/N” and Arthur would be watching you nervously in case he made it wrong or something similar, but it really is so good and you tell him as much.

His adorable beam and that cute crooked tooth are all you can see and he’s just so overwhelmed with love for you.

Throughout the day, you are pampered.

A hot bath with your favourite scents, candles and clown confetti scattered across the surface of the bubbles, a performance tailored perfectly to your sense of humour, random bouts of dancing, and a few small gifts just so you have something to open, which Arthur was told is a birthday essential.

Arthur is incredibly attentive, but on your birthday, you’re barely left alone. 

He loves you, so much and most especially on the day of your birth is he really hit with how much you mean to him. 

Arthur wouldn’t be who he is or do what he does without you by his side to hold his hand and keep him strong. 

The day is finished by Arthur crawling into bed with you, pulling you immediately into his arms and whispering his love for you over and over and over.

The words, “happy birthday” chase you into your dreams and keep you safe, and whole, and loved.

hello my name is *yells about Furuba*

I dunno what I’m doing but I have Feelings so let me rant about them, by me.

Some of y'all may not know that Fruits Basket is my favorite series on the planet– well you do now. That comes with a caveat of favorite manga, not favorite anime (that honor goes to either Noragami or Chihayafuru, with Madoka Magica as an honorable mention). I do also love the anime dearly! But comparing them is like apples and oranges, horses of different colors, etc etc, not least because the anime was made before the manga was barely halfway through. futile hope springs eternal for a full remake. So most of my feels rant will be manga-centric although the general feels apply to the anime, and uh there may be spoilers idk it’s been out for a long time???

The first volume came out in the US five days after my *deep breath* 15th birthday. I got it for the next year’s bday present from my big sis, aaaand that was when the gates of otaku/manga hell swallowed me up (I was somehow unaware that Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh were also Japanese pop culture, go figure.) I have no memory of how I found the anime– my anime-bittorrent-whateverthefuck knowledge was nonexistent but I don’t think it was airing live. I got the box set for some Christmas but that would’ve been after I was a massive fan so *shrug*

Anyway I watched the dub first and holy hell if I wasn’t planning to marry Yuki Sohma before then I definitely was after that, thanks Eric Vale. (I still have huge love for the dub cast fight me). Yun-chan was my first 2D crush and tbqh I’m still in love with him. Also I stg he’s the whole reason why pretty boys are a Big Thing of mine. And wait omg Shigure’s first appearance?! Like, that’s probably why dudes with glasses are also My Thing wow I just blew my own mind but moving on

Fun fact I couldn’t choose between Kyoru or Yukiru bc they were both cute (present me@young me: u will realize eventually grasshopper) but I was 100% cool with Kyoru happening because of course then I could be with Yuki. Cue me dabbling in a few paragraphs of self-insert fic.

I was blessed enough to get my hands on the entire Tokyopop run, plus the fanbooks!!! before they shut down. I’ve been warring with myself for ages over whether to start collecting the Yen Press specials but. my resolve is weakening. I also have all of Takaya-sensei’s other stuff yeet (Phantom Dreams, Those with Wings, Songs to Make You Smile) except for Twinkle Stars which I’m def gonna get and OBVIOUSLY THE INSTANT FURUBA ANOTHER COMES OUT IM GRAB meanwhile if I remember to check out the scans

Kyoko and Katsuya’s entire thing obviously (EXTRA RIP ME I’m crying just thinking about it). “The plum on your back” scenes. Kyo and Kyoko. THAT FIRST NEW YEAR’S WHEN YUKI AND KYO RACE BACK TO THE MAIN HOUSE BECAUSEtheir girlfriend MY DAUGHTER IS SAD AND LONELY AND THEY MAKE WISHES ON THE ROOF heck me upppp– also literally all roof scenes (karate kid Tohrutm) BUT THAT ONE HHGBNCCSV!!! Also my fav episode along with the AU-ish final 2.

Furuba fandom is my biggest fleet of ships by far which is hilarious bc I have a lot of fandoms and a lot of ships and you can see them bc i’m a derp but since nobody looks at that and nobody will read this (?) I’ma talk about them here. I DO WANT I WANT YO

So I shouldn’t try to make myself look “more polynesian.” 

Guests I’m excited for? A BUNCH OF THEM. ALMOST THE WHOLE CASE OF STEVEN UNIVERSE WILL BE THERE. (all but Garnet, Greg, and Rose I believe...I know Amethyst, Peridot, Lapis, Steven, Connie, and Pearl are there.) Also Jerry Jewel (detective Conan, Viktor in the YOI dub (haven’t seen the dub but whatevs) Mother fuckin’ bunny from shin chan, THE RAIL TRACER aka Claire Stanfield from Baccano!! Oh, I am very honoured you’d send this to me!!! Alright, let’s try to find 10 things about me... that’s gonna be Hard (TM).

I’m actually playing Persona 5 on PS3 (totally stole my friend’s ps3, what do you mean he threw it in my face because lack of space, details, details lol) and I’m really really loving it so far. Everything’s so good about it!! Like the music, the battles, the infiltration, tHE CHARACTERS. There are the usual clichés in it making me upset, buT they’re less upsetting than most games lbh.

Speaking P5, I forgot to pre-order it (mostly because I didn’t have the PS3 back yet and bc of work) and wanted to get it the day after it was released, but it was out of stock everywhere. Tho, I looked in the app a very (un)famous French video games shop and they had it in the one nearest to my home. I went there (and coincidentally, got the PS3 back the same day, it was a sign), ask the guy if they still had it for PS3 (and he was like “ps3? it doesn’t exist?” joke on you dude, it does). It was their last one and I got lucky it wasn’t reserved or anything x) Anyway.

I recently got some Fire Emblem Cipher Cards !!! They’re so pretty!!! I got the Path of Radiance and Birthright Decks (I took the Hoshido one only hoping to get a Shiro before realizing he hadn’t been released yet when that deck was made but it was too late welp). I have lots of doubles tho, if anyone is interested in trading or something...(I have 3 times the same Saizo, take them from me before I set him on fire myself :D).

I also found the last Kyo Kara Maoh manga I was lacking in my collection (got hit by KKM feels because of Tales of Berseria, lalala). So, yeah, waiting for that order to come home. Also, try searching for the first tome on Amazon, it is at 500+€ I’m crying. Also my laptop won’t play my dvd anymore I’m stuck streaming it because I started rewatching the series (I’m addicted).

Speaking of Tales of Berseria, Eizen is voiced by my absolute favourite seiyuu, who voices Conrad in KKM (who is my absolute favourite character ever) so that’s why, I’m a dweeb. I also love Eizen very very very much. He’s so Great. Tales of Berseria is so Great. Thanks to my friend for letting me play her game on Steam x)

Shigure is my other favourite in that game let me cry about him-Bless Morgrim too. Hashtag Shigure did nothing wrong, Rokurou is a little shit (I love Rokurou too).

Berseria probably became one of my favourite Tales of by now, lbh. It has Everything (almost) I was asking for in a Tales of game. Mostly no forced het romance in the main cast HOW AWESOME IS THAT?????They’re all a Big Happy Familly, with Magilou as the weird aunt trying to fit in. Also /spoiler/ Zaveid wears clothes/spoiler/. Velvet looks absolutely GORGEOUS in her Pirate outfit, thanks again to my dear friend for that.

My life is so interesting I mostly talk about my fandoms, wo w.I still have 2 weeks of work left before having a break and I hope I’ll be able to get my contract soon (which we call a cdi here) because uuugh, I want a stable income and situation, I’m tired of struggling at being an adult. Fuck being an adult (Ryuji’s voice: eff that adults sux).

I can’t wait for Disgaea 5 demo on Switch and Fire Emblem Echoes, May’s gonna be strategic (and my bday hella I’m old, my back hurts bc I’m a grandma). Also I’m gonna buy a house (in Breath of the Wild, dudum).

This is getting hard hmmmmm, I love Iwa-chan ,as much as I love Conrad (and it tells a lot, I compare everyone to Conrad), please give me more Iwa-chan content to make my life better during those hard grey days. I gave up on the Conrad content, but there’s still hope for Iwa-chan.
