✏️ seatmates joshua x reader.
prompt: "we sit next to each other every day, i lend you pencils, you share snacks with me, people are assuming we’re a couple, let’s go with that." ✶ part of my svt university milestone event
⤿ fluff, slight miscommunication, joshua is whipped, jeongcheol [if u squint!]. more content under the cut. ♡⸝⸝ prompt from anon!
It's not looking like a good start of the week for Seungcheol.
He had an insane bender the night before. He missed the morning bus to school and ended up walking the whole two-kilometer way. And now, the not-quite-a-couple duo who sat in front of him at class was back on their bullshit again.
With his fingers pressed to his temple, Seungcheol watches warily as the starry-eyed boy— Joshua, Seungcheol thinks his name is— places a canned coffee atop the edge of your desk. God, Seungcheol would kill for that right about now.
He's too far gone to make out anything the two of you are saying, but Seungcheol can fill in the blanks. It's probably something stupid, he thinks bitterly. Good morning, love. How was your weekend, love? I missed you, love.
Blegh.
There's only one thing he can think to do. Seungcheol whips out his phone and shoots out a quick slew of texts, trying to ignore the way that Joshua has begun to laugh a little too loud at something you just said.
Seungcheol it's a monday and i'm hungover and the pretty boy in front of me keeps making heart eyes at his seatmate he's laughing. i'm hungover to the heavens and he's laughing god what have i done to deserve this god when will it be my turn Jeonghan you think someone else is pretty? :( Seungcheol do NOT start with me rn
Seokmin doesn't think Joshua notices.
It's just like Joshua, really, to be a bit slow on the uptake when it comes to matters of the heart. And so Seokmin nods along, the perfect picture of indulgence, as you wheedle your way into Joshua's every day.
You don't even have to show up in the physical sense. Joshua fills in those gaps for you. I think they'll like this, Joshua (while holding a box of some obscure snack) tells Seokmin at the grocery store. They'll get a kick out of that, Joshua cackles as he snaps a photo of a silly eraser.
Seokmin knows he could, should probably ask his best friend what the hell is going on. The boy is in desperate need of a quick 'check-the-label' moment, honestly.
In the end, Seokmin decides: Not my circus, not my monkeys.
He figures the two of you will eventually hammer it out yourselves. It's a rite of passage, isn't it? The limbo of flirtation, confined in the four corners of a classroom. The happy crush that may or may not reciprocate.
As Joshua all but skips— honest-to-God skips!— to the Wednesday session of his class with you, Seokmin can't help the fond shake of his head at what Joshua has gotten himself into. Sharing snacks and stationery every M/W/F?
There are worse situationships to have, Seokmin concedes.
Professor Kang has been in the academe for nearly two decades.
He's watched relationships bloom, and last, and end. One or two students have even invited him to their weddings. There's no shortage of gossip in the faculty rooms; there's always a seating plan to orchestrate, a partnered project to use for a little drama.
He likes to think he has a sixth sense for this sort of thing, and that's why he initially believed that you and Joshua... aren't really a thing.
Sure, the two of you bend your heads together a little too close when discussing something. He notices, too, the exchanges— both the transactional and spoken ones. But he's unconvinced, for the most part of the semester, that there's not really anything worth reading into.
That is, until, you don't show up to class one day. On a whim, Professor Kang asks Joshua about your absence, and the boy fumbles with his phone for a couple of minutes.
"Doctor's appointment," Joshua eventually divulges, though there's a slightly worried crease in his eyebrows that has Professor Kang thinking, huh.
That huh gives way to an ah when, at the next class, the two of you slot right back into place. Professor Kang catches bits and pieces of your conversation with Joshua; how he eagerly inquires about your Friday plans, how he listens intently to your little rants.
As the two of you walk out the classroom, your shoulders brush. It's slight enough that anybody not really looking would miss it, would dismiss it, but Professor Kang can only watch with amusement. Joshua apologizes for crowding you— only to take an infinitesimal step closer as the two of you leave the classroom.
By the time the two of you are out in the hall, your shoulders are almost touching again.
Ah, Professor Kang thinks. He swears he's seen it all in the past twenty years, but he's not immune to making mistakes.
Perhaps they're a little bit in love, after all.

the thought of drew and obx actress!reader sweeping award season with their crime drama😍 maybe it’s about 2/3 seasons too to really get their characters yearning…
Hehe they’re on the red carpet at the Emmy’s with the rest of the cast but they’ve split off together to do interviews. The reporters are ecstatic at getting the main actor and actress of the hottest tv show this year in front of them. Ever the gentleman, Drew has his hand resting on her lower back as he guides them through the interview line ups.
“So Drew! Y/N! How are we feeling? Your show is predicted to sweep the awards tonight - what’s that feeling like?”
Drew looks over and obx actress!reader before smirking cheekily. “I mean… I’m honoured,” he drawled, laughing as he received a playful swat to his chest at the now-famous remark. “No, but really, it’s really rewarding to know that people are liking and appreciating our work. Just a big thank you to everyone who has watched our little show. For letting us put two seasons out as well - it’s amazing to see people have faith in us.”
When the reporter turned to obx!actress reader, she spoke too, “Pretty much just echoing Drew, but it’s been quite intense! You know, you always have hope that your project is going to do well, but seeing the way this has blown up and the love from the fans for us and these characters has been incredible!”
Drew nodded alongside her. The cameras caught the way the pair had subtly begun to lean into each other, though it was clear neither was aware of it.
“And guys, coming from Outer Banks to this kind of show, it must be crazy! You two played an on-off couple before, but now for your characters, the stakes are a lot higher. What would you say has been the most important thing to help you portray this different kind of relationship, especially balancing the really challenging scenes you’re filming?”
Drew reached for the mic first, looking towards obx actress!reader momentarily for approval before speaking. “Yeah, I think knowing each other for so long beforehand was probably the most important thing. We would always debrief after scenes and check in to make sure we were both good, just keeping ourselves in good condition.”
He passed the mic to the shorter woman by his side, turning his attention to her.
“When you’re filming scenes that put you on edge and really push you out of your comfort zone, having people you feel safe with is just so invaluable. Pedro was great with that too, and all the cast on the show really recognised the nature of what we were portraying. Drew and I had a routine that each evening after filming, we would go and get ice cream from this place near the set and just chill. It was really great to just sit silently and eat for a while, you know?”
The interviewer nodded, incredibly pleased with the answers she’d managed to get from the pair so far.
“Ok! So my last question before you go is this - who is the best dancer on the set? Drew, I know you love to show off your dance moves, but there are quite a few great dancers in the cast!”
The pair both thought silently for a moment, before obx actress!reader leaned into the mic, “it has to be Pedro! He loves a quick dance party in between takes.”
“I’m also gonna go with Pedro,” Drew chimed in.
The interviewer grinned widely, thanking them quickly as their publicist began to shuffle the actors over to the next interview stand. The camera caught the pair waving goodbye as they moved over, not failing to capture the way Drew’s hand still rested on obx actress!reader’s back. This time though, her hand was resting on his bicep as she turned to talk to him, their bodies pressed closely together. The interviewer thanked her lucky stars that the pair were so touchy because her editor was going to love this.

Beautiful Stranger
(5) I'm thinking back to when I was young
Mommy!Wanda Maximoff x Beefy!Fem!Reader
Summary: It's time for Thanksgiving and you aren't used to so many people, but what happens when Vis insults Wanda it's the tipping point for you.
Word Count: 2.2K
Warnings: 18+, Men and Minors DNI, suckling, intimacy but no sex, angst, hurt/comfort, Vis is an asshole, family dynamics, cultural sensitivity (mentions of Wanda's family), alcohol use, gender roles and expectations, pregnancy
A/N: Honestly this was the first thing my brain wanted to do after kinktober because I'd been sitting on the idea since before kinktober! Next chapter will be Christmas/Hanukkah!
November 7, 2023
The soft moans that you pulled out of Wanda in the morning as you suckled gently from her breast; the warm milk filled your mouth. Her hand cradled the back of your head, gently scratching at your scalp.
You let your eyes flutter open to catch her smiling down at you. Though it had only been a few months of showing Wanda things, letting her explore things and just all around getting comfortable with each other.
You let go of her darkened nip with a pop. She closes her eyes and lets her head lean back against the headboard. You never thought you'd find a pregnant woman this attractive, but here you were. Getting to explore things you'd only ever fantasized about.
You push yourself up to give her a kiss. Her shirt falling back into place just in time as you hear the pitter pattering of the boys before the door is slamming open and they're belly flopping onto the bed. Sending Wanda into a laughing fit as you do a complete 180 to how you were mere minutes ago in her lap.
You're wrestling the boys. Showing off how you can still lift them both so easily before play slamming them back into the bed. Holding them there.
“One. Two. Three. The Troublesome Twins once again are defeated by The Giant!” Wanda calls out as she gets out of bed. “Now you two head down stairs go play a game or watch TV while we get ready, okay?” Wanda informs them and they waste no time racing down the stairs to get first choice at the game or show.
You shake your head with a smile, closing and locking the door before getting ready with her.

Just as quickly as the Halloween decor went up, the late Autumn and Hanukkah decor started going up. Christmas tunes humming from your mouth and this time the boys offered up their help. Wanting to be good boys and get the newest gaming system on the eighth night.
Wanda and you had discussed it and didn't want to leave out Christmas so while they taught you about Hanukkah you'd teach them about Christmas. You'd get to take the boys to go pick out a real tree just like you and your father had always done.
“Come on you three time for a break. I made hot chocolate!” Wanda called and Billy's head spun around.
“With the marshmallows?”
“Mhmm.”
“And the whipped cream?” Tommy chimed in.
“Of course.”
“And the–”
“And the sprinkles of peppermint and cinnamon sticks. Yes, my two beautiful boys. I'd never forget all the things that make Mommy's hot chocolate so special.” Wanda took both boys in each arm. Giving them a kiss on top of their heads. “Now go grab a cup before it gets cold.” They hurried off to the kitchen as Wanda walked up to you. A hand on the back of her hip as she let her arms rest on your shoulders.
You smile down at her, gently letting your thumbs massage her lower back. You knew this little girl had nothing on Wanda carrying twins, but you still knew Wanda was hurting at 6 months pregnant. You held her close a moment before the two of you joined the boys in the kitchen. Wanda grabbed her cup first before handing over one for you with a smile.
You watch the three loves of your lives realizing the short time they had been in it, but just how big of an impact they’ve had. You couldn’t imagine a day without them. Wanda looks at you from the boys trying to get whipped cream on the other. Seeing the sappy smile on your face as you look at them distantly.
Her weight brings you back to the moment. Looking down at her head leaning against your arm. A smile on her face as she’s looking up at you. A hand cups her cheek and you lean down, letting her meet you halfway. Her lips are always so soft and you never want to stop. You hear the boys make playful gagging noises. You smile against Wanda’s lips. “I’m gonna go take care of the peanut gallery.” You whisper against her lips before letting go and chasing after the boys, laughing as they scream down the hall and up the stairs.

November 23, 2023
The house was abuzz with life. Much more than you were used to. You had tried helping Wanda and her mother but the two of them quickly threw you out of the kitchen so you were now sat on the couch.
Your father, Wanda's father, her brother Pietro, Natasha, Yelena, finally Natasha's and Yelenas's father all sat around the big TV of Wanda's house watching the big Thanksgiving day football games.
You knew Vis was off somewhere and so was your mom which made you anxious, but Lena and Tasha kept you grounded about the whole situation. Soon enough you could get into the game. Even though the teams playing weren’t anyones team you all still went back and forth rooting for the teams as touchdowns were made and passes were successful.
Eventually you had to get up and grab another beer as you made your way to the kitchen where Wanda was alone for a moment. Her back turned to you as she whipped the potatoes. Her dress today was beautiful, a lovely scarlet color, with a square neckline that was doing nothing to hide her chest. The dress fell to her plush mid thighs. If there were no one else home you’d be on your knees worshiping her like the goddess she is.
You smile to yourself before walking over and wrapping your arms around her waist, slightly holding up the growing belly as Wanda lets out a sigh of relief. “Feel better?” You whisper against her shoulder giving the exposed skin a soft kiss.
“Much. She’s getting heavier by the day and with all the prep work she feels even heavier.” Wanda leans back against you. Head lulling a bit.
“Let me help a little just by holding you for a bit, okay pretty girl?” Wanda hummed in response as you continued to hold her for another minute before gently letting her belly back down.
“Thank you sweet girl. That was much needed.” Wanda turned in your arms, her own gently placed on your shoulders. You leaned your foreheads together and swayed gently as the soft christmas music played in the kitchen speaker. You loved getting lost in moments with Wanda.
“You two are very cute.” You hear Wanda’s mom’s voice call out, her accent was much thicker than Wanda’s, but it was apparent that her parents had immigrated here at a younger age. You turn to smile at her. Wanda’s mother was much sweeter than your own when it came to the relationship the two of you had formed. Your mother was only here out of the necessity for appearances. Wanda’s mother, Iryna, seemed to be thrilled for Wanda finding someone new.
You heard the boys before you saw them, as they came barreling through the kitchen. Grabbing each with your arms and a smile on your face. “Woah you two where's the fire?” You ask as you hold them over your shoulders and the two are in a fit of giggles.
“We’re hungry, is dinner ready yet?” Tommy asks and Billy’s nodding his head in agreement.
“Soon you two, but here,” You easily keep the boys over your shoulders as Iryna stiffles a giggle while you grab two pieces of bread, “to hold you over until Mommy and Babička are done cooking.” You set the two of them down and after handing them the snack they rush off again with a quick.
“Thank you Daddy!”
You freeze a bit as you glance at Iryna, wondering if she’ll say anything about it. “They call you Daddy?” You chew the inside of your lip.
“Oh yeah they started doing that almost immediately and it kind of stuck.” Wanda explains. “We tried getting them to use something else, but they insisted since they never called Vis Daddy.”
Iryna takes a moment before the smile comes back to her face, looking at you as she hands you a beer, her voice soft as she sends you back out to the others, “I think you make a better Daddy than him anyways.”
°○°○°○°○°
Once everyone started eating it was quiet except for the sounds of silverware hitting against plates. You were sitting next to Wanda, Vision directly across from you. Then your mom and your dad at one end of the table while the other side held Wanda’s dad, Oleg.
You smiled when Wanda's hand found your thigh, sighing happily and relaxing as you felt her thumb gently caress your thigh. You'd matched Wanda with a scarlet button up and dark gray dress pants.
Things were going smoothly which surprised you, but also put a smile on your face. You heard the oven go off and Wanda was about to get up, but you knew she was hurting so you kissed her cheek, “I've got it pretty girl. You stay right there.” You say with a smile and Wanda tries to protest, but you insist. Then as you're getting up you hear it,
“Wanda should be the one to do it.” Vision calls out. The whole table was at attention. Silence falls over everyone as you look at him.
“And why is that?” You ask with a heady tilt. You feel Wanda's hand on your trying to pull you back and not make a scene, but over the months of the comments here and there you've reached your boiling point.
“Well if you’re going to look like a man and have my sons call you Daddy then I think the woman should have her place in the kitchen. It's the only thing she's good at.” There's venom in his voice and your eyes flick over to your mom who is nodding her head. There it is you've boiled over.
“Or how about instead I be a gentleman and help my pregnant girlfriend who's been on her feet all day to make this amazing Thanksgiving meal from scratch for all of us, even the ungrateful ones and yeah the boys do call me Daddy and maybe that's because I'm a better father figure than their actual dad! I've let some comments slide since I met you Vis, but not anymore. Wanda is my girlfriend now and I won't stand for the sexist and downright rude comments you make about her! Wanda is beautiful and kind and caring and hardworking and a great mother! I won't sit here and let you continue to insult her. So you can either shut up or find a new place to go out on Thanksgiving,” you stop turning your attention to your mom, “that includes you. I won't let you threaten me for the choices I'm making as an adult because so far my choices have led me down a path I wouldn't change for anything in the world.”
No one speaks and all eyes are on you. Your heart is pounding in your chest and the anxiety starts to kick in as you rush off to the kitchen.
You lean against the counter, fingers gripping the stone top until your knuckles are white. Your heart is in your ears. You wanna throw up everything you've eaten so far, but then a familiar pair of arms wrap around your waist from behind.
“Take a deep breath milaya.” she asks of you and you do as told. “There we go.” She's rubbing soothing circles in your back and gently kissing your shoulder blades.
You turn around in her arms, picking her up and setting her on the counter a memory flashes in your mind of the first time you did that and you cup her cheeks, kissing gently. The two of you move together in perfect sync. A dance you’ve now memorized.
When you pull back, Wanda is smiling softly, her thumb brushing your cheek. “Thank you. For always standing up for me. For always reminding me of my value and worth. I lost it for a while with him, but I've found it again in you sweet girl.” Her voice is soft, almost a whisper.
You nuzzle into her hand, allowing yourself to be soft for a moment with her. Only with her. “I mean every word of it, Wands. You know I do. I'll always remind you of how loved you are. How beautiful you are. How amazing of a person you are. You deserve it.” You see the tears of happiness build up in her eyes, but nothing falls.
Just as you go to kiss her again the oven is beeping at the two of you. A smile forming on both your faces.
“Desserts gonna burn if we don't do something about that.” She whispers against your lips. You give a quick kiss before grabbing it out, setting it on the cooling rack Wanda had prepared.
You turn back to your beautiful girlfriend with a smile, letting your eyes glance over her before picking her up and kissing her deeply.
Even with Vis and your mom this had to be the best Thanksgiving because you had Wanda as your girlfriend and you were more than thankful to have her, the boys, and the little bundle growing in Wanda.

DOOMED FOR ONE ANOTHER - LN4
summary : Forced to never forget. He loved her, she loved him. It seemed easy but the moment those words met the cool air, everything changed. They had the type of love that wasn’t in story books about romance, it was the type that was in horror stories.
listen up : crazy moody today ig. hope u like bc it’s actually interesting and deep for once. dual pov!!
word count : 2040

The first time they met, he saw her sitting at the bar.
She was alone, in a cocktail dress with her legs crossed, sipping on a martini. There was a faux fur coat hanging over her chair. She wasn’t on her phone, or listening to music, she was just sitting with the world around her.
Lando Norris was well acquainted with the female species. He’s met pretty woman, he’s dated pretty women, he’s fucked pretty women.
She wasn’t just a pretty woman.
“I’m Lando.” She didn’t shake his hand, didn’t smile or giggle… she just nodded.
“I know who you are.” She brought the martini to her lips again and Lando felt his mouth open a bit, “Do you know who I am?”
He slipped into the seat next to her, “No. Should I?”
Then it happened, the corners of her perfectly lush lips tugged upward. “Nope.”
And thus started a beautiful friendship. Yes, I say friendship because neither of them expected to fall in love with each other. Even if everyone seemed to hope they would.
⋆༺
Her apartment was a mess like usual. I pushed open the door with two coffees in my hand, house keys, and the purse she made me bring all the way from Monaco to New York.
I managed to get to her room without stepping on any of her loose clothes, books, or instruments. She was lying on her bed, her head hanging off the side and her hands lazily strumming her guitar.
She was wearing a pink nightgown that scrunched up on her thighs, a faux fur coat, and headphones. Her head finally tilted back far enough to see me standing there, staring at her.
I used to worry about her a lot because of her reaction time and how she never realized I was staring. Yet I stopped thinking about it after it allowed me to watch her before we would hang out.
That sounds creepy, I know. But just like the first time I met her, I could get a read on her body language or emotions, I would look at her outfit and how much jewelry she would be wearing, I would just look at her for one quiet moment.
“Lan!” She screamed far too loud and stood up at lightning speed, hugging me. “My angel, you’re back!” She grabbed the coffee she knew was hers from my hands and spun around, hopping back onto her bed and sitting on her feet.
I pushed the clothes off her chair and sat on it, “Someone came up to me and asked if I was your friend today.”
I rolled my eyes and sipped my coffee, “One day, we’re going to be walking around and people will swarm around you and ask who the idiot next to you is.”
She sighed, sipping her coffee, “And I’d tell them that if they’re true fans, they’d know who my best friend is.” She leaned back on her pillows and stuffed animals.
“Right!” I let out a laugh, “You would definitely say I'm some freak following you.”
Her eyes got serious for a second, “I’d never pretend to not know you, Lando.”
I shook my head, “How’s the writing coming along?”
“If you’ve come here just to bug me about my music, then I will kick you back onto the streets.” She’s a musician.
I wasn’t lying when I said I didn’t know her… but she had just put out her debut album and I had just officially become an F1 driver.
She claimed she wasn’t a fan of the sport, yet would text me non stop about ‘gossip’ she heard from her ‘credible’ sources. Her sources were F1 twitter.
She let me listen to her music, humming along to the songs without lyrics and singing without any instrument to the songs without background music.
I don’t remember when I fell in love with her. It wasn’t a specific time or place, I just sort of knew one day.
⋆༺
I always loved him in a suit.
I liked his hair and the way the curls just fit with something so neat and tailored to him. Lando looked bored, an expression I didn’t see on his face a lot when he was with me.
But that day and that banquet… it was so slow and I was so off my usual game. I had secrets and Lando could tell. I thought he was going to confront me about them when he brought me outside.
“Lan, there’s a speaker!” I whispered to him as he took my hand.
“When have you ever cared about shit like that? Come on.” His hand was cold, I remember that. I actually remember everything from that night.
We slipped out the back door and he started laughing. I didn’t know why, but I also didn’t ask a lot of questions.
The banquet was in a stuffy hall, but the back garden was beautiful and miles long. I laughed with him, hurrying down the steps as fast as I could in my heels.
He loosened his tie and undid the top button of his shirt. “I couldn’t breathe in there.” He runs a hand through his curls, tilting his head back so his Adam's apple is more pronounced and his eyes are looking to the sky.
“Wanna get out of here?” I asked because I was getting cold and could tell he needed a change of scenery.
That’s when I noticed a difference. The way he looked at me just then, it was like everything I had dreaded came true in one singular moment. “No.” He had said it quietly but I felt like he had a megaphone. “I need to talk to you.”
“Lando…” I said his full name that time because I wanted him to know that for once in my life, I was being serious. I was warning him.
“I love you.” He was breathless and I'll never forget the look on his face. It was almost as heartbreaking as the look he gave me five seconds later, when I didn’t respond.
I loved him, of course I had.
But I wasn’t ready. I wasn’t ready for a relationship or for him. I wasn’t ready for everything to change or for him to suddenly start kissing me instead of hugging.
I wasn’t ready to be loved.
“Please…” He was holding my hands now, “I can’t not love you. I know you love me too.” That made me feel nauseous.
How could he know?
I kept everything close to me and had never tried to kiss him, I never even joked about it!
“I can’t…” Is all I said before pulling my hands away.
His face turned sullen, his arms limp at his sides, “You don’t have to be scared.”
“I’m not!” I didn’t mean to say it as defensively as I did.
“Bullshit.” Lando never raised his voice at me, but he did then.
“You don’t get to tell me my feelings!” I stepped farther away, ignoring every instinct to get closer.
His eyes were piercing me, “Tell me you don’t then.”
I was shaking my head as he begged, “Tell me you don’t love me! Say it to my face.” I couldn’t say anything, and he knew me too well because of it. “Break my heart, then. Do it.”
“Lan…”
“Don’t ‘Lan’ me!” He stepped closer, his hands going to my arms again, “Fucking break me or never talk to me again! I can’t pretend I don’t love you and I know you can’t stay friends with me when you know that I do.”
His voice broke and my tears started. Lando Norris knew every part of me. He watched my facial expressions, my body language. He watched me get dressed and he watched me break a million guys' hearts.
He watched me loudly do what I love but that was always music, and never him.
That’s why I had to walk away. It’s why I couldn’t admit loving him. It’s why I cut all contact, It’s why I hated myself. It’s why I pretended I didn’t know him, even though he haunted everything in my life.
⋆༺
I love my friends. But I think I'd rather be anywhere but here right now.
Carlos forced me to come to his girlfriend's party. Rebecca is nice and all but as I watch Franco get surrounded by models and Charles whispering in Alexandra’s ear, I’m seriously regretting saying yes.
I’m in a suit and zoning out with champagne in my hand, leaning against the bar as the noise around me gets louder.
“Lando!” I already know it’s Carlos, glancing back to see him hurrying over to me, “Lando!”
“What?” I ask, tired and wishing I was more drunk.
“Rebecca has a girl for you!” my immediate instinct is to run but he slaps his hand onto my shoulder and grips it tightly, “Hey! You’ll love her! She’s a musician and very pretty!”
I groan, “Carlos, no.”
“Mate, come on! You never date and I think you’ll actually love her!” He’s right. I don’t date. I have sex, I hook up, I have benefits but no friends. “It’ll be good for you.” And for a second, I believe him.
Maybe it would be good for me. It’s been over a year since my heart was ripped apart and stomped on by a type b, adhd, singer.
“Just meet her.” He says and I hesitate before shrugging, “Yes! Oh, here they come!”
I stand up straight and sip my champagne, hoping the alcohol will hit me fast. The moment I turn, The moment Rebecca smiles and starts to speak, I can’t breathe.
“Lando this is-” I don’t need to keep listening to know. She’s right there. In front of me.
The girl who ripped my heart out is right there, wearing the same shoes she stomped on it with. I’m not prepared for this, for her. Her face tells me she feels the same way but is far more calm than I am.
When she holds out her hand for me to shake, I feel sick. I shake it, not saying anything. She looks the same… but different.
Her hair is longer and her makeup is done differently. She’s wearing barely any jewelry but I can smell her perfume and I just know it’s the same one I got for her at some corner stone in brooklyn.
“It’s really nice to meet you.” She sounds strong. She sounds like she’s lying, but maybe that’s because she is.
“I wish I could say the same about you.” No one else would be able to tell, but after years of examining her, I don’t miss the way her mouth quirks. I say it because I would never pretend to not know her, no matter how hard it was to make eye contact with her today.
I know Carlos is horrified, “Norris!”
But I don’t care.
For once, I didn’t see her coming. I didn’t get to have that moment of peace where I could revel in her.
I avoided her, mostly. We never ran in the same circle… except for now, I guess… but I saw friends of friends posting about her concerts or new music. I saw her on Dominic Fikes album and I saw her kissing his cheek two days after that.
I heard the rumors and the second that one of the guys called her pretty, I clocked out.
I never saw her in person though. I would be paranoid every time I was at a music festival or even saw someone wearing close to the same faux fur jackets she adored. But I haven’t seen her for over a year, until now.
Rebecca looks uncomfortable and Carlos looks straight up scared. I’m lucky that they get pulled away but I'm unlucky that she gets closer to me. She used to tease me the same way she’s looking at me now.
I expect her to say something profound, maybe even an apology. But then I remember who she is. That Cheshire-like smile greets her lips again as her thick lashes blink, “I’ve always loved you in a suit.”

Married In Vegas Interlude: The Patio
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
"I miss you," Evan says, strain in his voice, around his eyes. "I went out with a guy the other night and he said movies are for the weak-minded."
Evan always fell asleep halfway through movies. Not enough stimulation, so Tommy had started massaging his leg, tossing a nerf ball back and forth, asking Evan to paint his toenails. He's got a knitting for beginners kit sitting at the bottom of his mud room ottoman because that had been his next attempt to keep him entertained enough to make it through a single theater run-time Lord of the Rings.
"I hired a Taskrabbit to box up all your things because every time I saw them I wanted to call you," Tommy admits.
"Even the -?"
"That too," Tommy interrupts, and Evan scowls.
"You always do that."
"Anticipate what you're doing to say?"
"Never let me finish."
Tommy can't help himself: "I don't recall that ever being a problem." The first time Tommy had found his prostate he'd made noise like a dying cow and Tommy had been worried his neighbors would call the cops and a station they both knew would show up just in time for Tommy to drown in a puddle of Evan's cum.
Evan kicks at his leg. "We never talked about the things we did that irritated each other."
Tommy gets both calves wrapped around the offending ankle and holds them in place, hovering above the cheap and patchy artificial turf.
"Like you always pretending you couldn't overpower me if you tried?" he asks, and Evan bends his knees and hooks his toe and if Tommy didn't let the hold go they'd both end up in the ER tonight.
"Like turning the thermostat in the loft down every night when you snuck down for water after you thought I was passed out."
"You have fifty blankets within arms reach up there," Tommy argues, and something satisfied sparks behind Evan's eyes. Was he not supposed to cop to that?
"You flirt with my barista every time you wake up early to buy me coffee at the cafe downstairs," Evan says.
"Tawny is basically my barista at this point, she never saw you." It's been six months. Tawny is definitely not his barista, anymore
"Maybe I wanna be the one who wakes up early and treats you, every once in a while." Which makes Tommy snort, and tip his beer against his lips to drain the rest before he digs in the bucket for another.
"You're the biggest pillow princess I've ever met," he snaps, and then amends his statement. "That isn't one of the irritations," he says, softer. When he drops his free hand on the table, Evan snatches at it, fingers stretching over the back of it before twisting Tommy's wrist to reveal his palm. He does that thing that always made Tommy a little boneless: fingernails snagging on Tommy's calluses as he traces the patterns on his palm, up the lengths of his fingers. "I like taking care of people. You. I like taking care of you."
He curls his fingers in to catch his movements on a downward drag, slides them into the empty spaces between Evan's and presses their palms together. It's silent. Tommy feels heated, and he's not sure he can blame the three straight whiskeys he'd pounded back when he'd caught sight of the breadth of Evan's back, assumed it was a stranger, and thought to himself: I deserve to be haunted by this ghost.
"Can we please talk, Tommy? For real?"
Tommy pulls another beer from his bucket and passes it off to Evan. "I miss you too, Evan."
Evan drags his chair half an inch closer and beams.

Hi,
Would you be open to write about Oscar and his childhood friend, now scientists. just them supporting each other during their own careers. Being so damm proud and all the time yapping about the otheres archivements Showing up at diffrent events for each other, like her coming to a race, and him showing up at a conference, where she's presenting her research.
Thanks a lot!
♡ navigation / request info / f1 masterlist
♡ warnings: none
♡ an: i messed up and replied to a different request with this T_T. so this is basically a repost. nonetheless, thank you for requesting and sorry for the mess-up.
Oscar couldn’t remember a time when you weren't around. From the early days at your father’s karting track, where you would sit on the bleachers with a juice box and your homework, to the present - F1 tracks, where your face was one of the first he searched for in the crowd.
Your friendship started when your fathers introduced you to each other. You were both six and despite most kids this age being disgusted by the opposite gender you two quickly became close. When you were kids people often mistook you as siblings - always next to each other, teasing and giggling but also supporting each other.
When Oscar went to boarding school a lot changed. You went from seeing each other everyday to seeing each other twice a year. Nonetheless, not seeing each other very often and the mix of puberty hormones didn’t take a toll on your relationship. While Oscar was in Europe, racing in junior motorsport series, you were in Australia pursuing your academic dream.
You two reunited not long after turning twenty. Oscar just got his seat in Formula one and you were on your way to receive your diploma. Even with your busy schedules you tried to spend as much time together as possible. You were a regular in the paddock and everyone in Mclaren’s garage knew you.
The crowd was loud as Oscar climbed out of his car and hugged his team. His eyes searched the crowd until they landed on you - his biggest supporter. He jogged over and pulled you into a tight hug. You kissed his cheek and hugged him close “Oscar, you did it! You were amazing. I’m so proud of you” you shouted over the noise. His first Formula one win. “Did you see what I did on the first corner?” he said, his eyes full of adrenaline. “Did I see? Dude, I was clutching the seat so hard I might’ve bruised my hand. I thought Carlos would push you off the track!”. You laughed, and he noticed the way your eyes shone with genuine pride. For a moment, he forgot about the cameras, the media - everything except that you were there, seeing him at his best. “Now go get weighted so we can celebrate!”.
Later that evening a group sat at a table at the back of a busy restaurant. Oscar was surrounded by many people, his teammate, boss, engineers and friends. But most importantly you were sitting next to him.
You raised your glass, he rolled his eyes knowing exactly what you were going to do. “To the guy who went from karting on Tuesdays to taking wins on Sundays”. He blushed slightly from embarrassment, maybe from the alcohol . “To the girl who always believed I’d get there - even when I didn’t” he said quietly before bumping your glass with his.
A few months later, it was Oscar’s turn to sit in the front row, this time at a prestigious science conference. He was out of place among the suits and academics, but he didn’t care. He’d been waiting to see you shine, finally seeing all those years of hard work in action.
The room was filled with applause as you entered the stage after being introduced by the host. “Hello, thank you everyone” you said in a confident yet still a bit shaky voice. You glanced at Oscar as he gave you a big thumbs up and a huger smile. “So before I start, I can’t express how honored I am to be standing here. This has been my dream for the past eight years. I want to thank everyone here, for supporting, inspiring and helping me through this”.
Throughout the presentation your eyes kept finding their way back to Oscar. Whenever you would get a bit too overwhelmed, the sight of him calmed your nerves. After the presentation Oscar gave you space as a flood of people gathered around you, eager to discuss your theories. You answered questions from a mix of young researchers, curious students, and seasoned scientists who all seemed genuinely intrigued by your work.
You were talking with an elderly lady, a woman that has been your huge inspiration. “Thank you. It’s… honestly, I wouldn’t even be here if it weren’t for people like you. Your work really inspired me.” You could feel the heat rising to your cheeks as you spoke, starstruck and a little shaky. She asked you a few questions and invited you to another convention.
The woman tilted her head, glancing subtly in Oscar’s direction, who was leaning against the wall. “And, if I may say, it seems that someone else is equally inspired by you”. You blinked, following her gaze to where Oscar stood. He hadn’t noticed you looking, caught up in watching you in your element, a proud smile playing on his lips. You could see how much this meant to him - that he genuinely admired you, not just as his friend.
“Oh him, that’s just my best friend” you replied giggling a little. “Hold on to him,” the lady said gently, giving your arm a reassuring squeeze. “It’s rare to find someone who believes in us as much as we believe in them” she paused for a moment glancing back at him “and stop by for a visit in my home in Uk, both of you”.
Before you could respond the lady disappeared in the crowd. “Hey,” Oscar said, his voice soft as he reached your side. “How are you holding up?”.
“I’m good,” you replied, voice brightening as soon as he was close. “Still a bit… overwhelmed, but good. Did you, um, survive the science talk?”. He laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “I think I caught about 30% of it, which for me is a win. But I caught all the important stuff - like you absolutely crushing it up there”. Your heart gave a little flutter, his voice hitting you harder than you’d expected. “Thanks, Oscar. It… it really helped having you here”. He looked down at you, his expression softening. “I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Seeing you up there… I’m just so proud of you, you know?”.
You let out a deep breath, feeling some of the tension melt away as you watched the lady. “I can’t believe she was here,” you whispered, still awestruck, “She’s, like, my hero”. Oscar chuckled, nudging your shoulder. “I get it, really. I feel the same way every time you’re at a race. Just… ridiculously lucky to have you on my side”.
You smiled up at him, the words slipping out before you could stop them. “I’m the lucky one, Oscar. Thank you for being here. For everything, really.”
He didn’t answer right away, just watched you, his gaze steady and warm. “I’ll always be here”.
… a few months later …
“It’s a nice place,” Oscar said, parking his car. As you two walked up to the ivy-covered cottage hand-in-hand, he gave your fingers a squeeze, a familiar sparkle in his eye. “Think she’s going to guess right away?” he whispered, as if afraid to break the quiet charm of the place. You nudged him, smiling. “Of course, she noticed something between us before we even did”. He chuckled softly. “Guess that’s fair”.
Before you could knock, the door swung open, revealing an old lady with a warm, welcoming smile. “There you are! I was beginning to think you’d gotten lost”. You and Oscar exchanged a sheepish look before following her inside.
Her home was cozy and filled with books, artifacts, and stacks of research papers - a testament to her lifelong dedication to science. She led you to a sitting room where a tea set and a tray of scones were waiting.
“So,” she began, settling herself comfortably into an armchair and pouring each of you a cup, “Tell me, how have the two of you been?”. “We’ve been great,” you began, accepting the delicate teacup she handed you. “It’s been busy, as usual, but… a good kind of busy”. The lady nodded, “I imagine you’ve been wrapped up in your research, my dear. And you, young man - what line of work are you in?”.
Oscar glanced at you, suppressing a grin. “I’m, uh… I’m a racing driver”. Her brows lifted in pleasant surprise. “Racing? Goodness, that’s a bit different from the world of science, isn’t it?”. He chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. “Just a bit. I race in Formula One, actually”.
Her eyes widened, a mixture of fascination and amusement flashing across her face. “Formula One! How thrilling. I’ve read about it - those cars going at breathtaking speeds. I can’t say I know much about it, but I can imagine that must be… well, exhausting.”. Oscar nodded, his voice softening as he replied, “It is, it’s intense, but it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. It’s taken me all over the world and I’m lucky enough to have had this one,” he said, glancing at you, “supporting me every step of the way”.
“And actually… there’s something else we wanted to tell you”. Her smile widened knowingly, and she leaned in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. “Oh? Do tell,” her voice with a hint of irony.
Oscar’s cheeks colored just slightly, but he held your hand firmly. “Well… we’re together. As in, officially”. She clasped her hands together, her expression delighted. “Oh, how wonderful! I could tell there was something between you two from the moment I saw you at the conference. And now you’ve finally seen it yourselves, too”.
You both laughed. It was true, if it hadn’t been for her perceptive nudge, perhaps you would have taken even longer to realize what everyone else seemed to see so clearly. “Thank you,” you said, smiling. “You were right, back at the conference. He’s been by my side for as long as I can remember”.
“Likewise,” Oscar added, his voice gentle. “She’s my biggest supporter. My constant”.
“Hold onto that. Life has a way of throwing surprises our way, but the strength you two share will see you through anything.”
The three of you sat for hours, talking about life, love, and work. The evening felt timeless as laughter and stories filled the air, connecting the three of you in a way that felt like family. When it was finally time to leave, she walked you both to the door, wrapping you in a heartfelt embrace.
“Promise me you’ll visit again soon,” she said, her voice filled with affection. “And don’t forget, no matter where life takes you, you’ll always have a place here”.
“We promise,” Oscar said, squeezing her hand. “Thank you”.
As you and Oscar walked back under the starry sky, he slipped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. “So… we’re officially a ‘we’ now, huh?” you asked.
He laughed as you leaned your head against his shoulder. “Looks like it. Think you can handle it?”.
You grinned feeling his lips on your forehead. “I think I can. As long as I’ve got you beside me”.

Buck/Tommy prompt: Tommy finally realizing he *does* have a family with the 118
It's a Thursday afternoon when he dies.
He's not even on shift, that's the thing; he was in the gym training with a friend, and the next thing he knows five masked figures burst in, shouting at everyone to get down to the ground, and he's shielding Jacob when one of them fires a spray in their direction.
The bullets don't land anywhere fatal so he doesn't die immediately, but that means it hurts like a bitch, and he can feel his extremities growing cold. He sees the five gunmen race out the other door. Jacob is panicking, pressing his gym towel on the stomach wound but not exerting enough strength to hold back the blood loss; Lizzie is screaming at someone to hurry; Tommy thinks, Fuck, on the day I beat my personal best too.
His vision is darkening around the edges. Breathing is difficult. Maybe a punctured lung from shrapnel, who knows?
The coroner will, his brain supplies, a joker to the very end.
He hears sirens. Vaguely, he wonders if who's going to tell Evan.
Sorry, baby. Didn't mean to make you cry. Tommy lets go of the vestiges of the breath he's been struggling to hold onto.
"Tommy?" He knows the voice. Wow, God really has a shitty sense of humor. "Tommy!"
At least that's the last thing he'll hear before he dies. Tommy tastes blood in his mouth, and everything stops.
Death, it turns out, is a welcoming silence.
--
He wakes up in fits and starts.
When he is finally, mostly conscious, he feels someone holding his right hand. And there are two people talking.
"...I think he's back with us again," one of the voices say. "Mr Kinard?"
Call me Tommy. Mr Kinard is my asshole dad.
"Tommy?"
Now Tommy smiles. That's the right name. He blinks, each eyelid approximately seven thousand tons. Dimmed lights, two shadowy figures, one in a white coat and the other in navy.
"Guess... G'd dint like... my crack 'bout. Sense of humor."
"What the fuck," says Navy. He scoots closer and Tommy can see his face clearly. Boyishly handsome, with light brown curly hair, a birthmark. Red-rimmed eyes. "Tommy. Tommy, god."
"Hey." He can't remember Navy's name. "Dry."
White Coat hands over a small cup. Navy puts an ice chip on Tommy's lips, and Tommy draws it into his mouth for the relief.
Evan. Not Navy. Evan.
White Coat comes close, and Tommy wants to protest. He wants to hold Evan's hand and kiss his sad little pout away.
"You can do that later when you're better," said White Coat. He shines a light into Tommy's eyes - ow - and taps him in various places, and then it's just Tommy and Evan again.
Evan stands and leans down to kiss Tommy's brow. "Go to sleep. I'll let everyone know you pulled through."
Tommy wants to ask, but sleep pulls him under.
--
They come to visit, singly or in pairs.
"Glad you're still breathing," Eddie says. He sits on the side of the bed. "Chris says that if you die, he'll hit you with his crutches. And they hurt, let me tell you that."
Hen and Karen visit with their kids that same day. Denny asks if Tommy can teach him and Mara to draw. "I liked yours the most of all the art on my cast."
Bobby comes by, scowls at the bland food, and says, "I'm glad you're still with us, kid." Tommy tears up, and allows himself to cry silently. Bobby only holds his hand and pats the back of it.
Donato and Melton come by with a bunch of balloons, all chosen for maximum obnoxiousness. The bright pink and yellow one that proclaims "It's a GIRL!" is Tommy's favorite.
He gives that balloon to Chimney when he comes by, telling him to give it to Jee. Chimney punches the side of Tommy's leg. "Count your lucky stars it isn't Maddie here. They'd never even find your body."
--
Maddie shows up with Evan the day after to take Tommy home to recover from his three bullet wounds.
"Three shots and you only get three days?" Evan is outraged.
"Flesh wounds except for the one through my lower left abdomen," Tommy reminds him, already tired. "Plus, I signed myself out." Then, taking a nervous breath, he says, "Hi Maddie."
Maddie glares at him. "You're lucky I wasn't the one holding the gun."
Tommy winces, ducks his head. "I'm sorry."
Evan rolls his eyes. "Standing right here, Maddie."
"I warned him about breaking your heart," she says grumpily, but she takes the duffel bag of Tommy's stuff.
Tommy leans back in his wheelchair as Evan rolls him out towards freedom. "How much groveling to make to earn your sister's forgiveness?"
"See how long you'll grovel for mine, and multiply that by ten."
"Oh shit."
"...that'd be about half a hour, I guess."
"For you or for her?"
Evan wrinkles his nose at him, but his smile is still sunshine. His hand lands on Tommy's shoulder and squeezes. "You and I need a good talk. And this time, you can't run."
Tommy dares to touch Evan's hand. "Okay."

papamin au, nanami is a bakery owner
nanami kento, bakery owner, is familiar with itadori-san, an old man who comes into his shop every morning to order a cornet and black coffee.
he becomes familiar with his grandson, yuji, when the small boy accompanies him one day begging for something sweet with strawberries. he watches as the boy’s eyes glow, face and tiny hands pressed against the glass of the display case. he leaves holding his grandpa’s hand with a belly full of strawberry cake roll.
from that day forward, the old man continues to come with yuji in tow, and nanami finds himself testing more strawberry-infused recipes.
two years go by, and nanami grows used to their routine. everyday, except special holidays when the bakery is closed, the pair arrive around 7 a.m., order their food, and sit next to each other while the old man reads his newspaper. yuji, a young boy ever so restless, often runs around the store greeting new customers and asking nanami silly questions.
“what’s your favorite color, nanamin?”
nanami raises an eyebrow at the boy, turning his attention to him after wiping the counter.
“yellow.”
that answer seems to appease him, as he giggles and runs away back to his table. before leaving, the old man turns and gives nanami a curt nod, the firm look in his eye sending a shiver down his spine.
after that day, they don’t come back. nanami can’t be upset, as it is to be expected. people move, find new bakeries to frequent. he’s become used to the amount of faces that come and go, some return and some don't. it’s normal, comforting even. but he can’t shake this feeling in the pit of his stomach that something is wrong.
with a surprisingly quick online search after closing up for the day, nanami discovers that the old man has passed away. he was eighty-two and left behind a grandson, yuji itadori, only four.
the ‘sorry we’re closed’ sign jolts aggressively as he slams and locks the door. the frigid, spring air causes him to tighten his scarf around his neck as he walks through the empty streets. it’s late, he doesn’t know where he’s going, but he walks.
after an inquiry at the local convenience store and a couple searches on the map application on his phone, nanami stands outside of the nearest orphanage.
fist held out to knock on the door, he freezes. what is he thinking? he can’t possibly be considering this. adoption? a 28-year-old, single man on a baker’s salary adopting a child he barely knows. it’s absurd.
he needs to sleep on this before he does anything rash. shaking his head and chuckling softly at his rashness, nanami steps and turns away from the door to leave.
that's the plan, however, until it flings open.
“sir, can I help you? you’re setting off our security cameras and, frankly, you’re kind of freaking me out. I won’t hesitate to call the authorities.”
wide-eyed with an apology ready to go, he turns back slowly with his hands raised in surrender to not cause any more panic.
“I am so sorry, I was just—”
“nanamin!”
hurrying footsteps pound the hardwood floor of the entryway behind the woman, and suddenly a fluff of pink hair flashes by her hip in an impressive display of speed. before the boy can make it any further, she grabs him by his shirt collar and pulls him to her side.
“woah, woah, woah there, yuji, slow down,” she chastises, “we don’t run out of the building, especially at night.”
the boy looks up at her with apologetic puppy eyes, “I’m sorry.”
the woman’s stern look falters slightly, and she moves to brush the hair away from his forehead. “do you know this gentleman, yuji?”
the boy starts jumping excitedly, looking towards him now. “yeah! this is nanamin! he makes me strawberry stuff!”
looking up at him confused, nanami clarifies, “I own a bakery in town that he visited frequently... with his grandfather.”
“ah,” she responds, flashing him a knowing look, “you do look familiar. you own a bakery here in sendai?"
"yes, ma'am."
“can we let him in, please?” yuji pouts, obviously restless.
“how about we ask him to come back tomorrow at a more appropriate time? besides, it is past your bedtime.”
“but—”
“mm-mmm, no buts. now go brush your teeth."
yuji's puppy eyes flash to nanami now, looking at him expectedly. hurt pangs in nanami's chest, recognizing that it must be nice for the boy to see a familiar face after everything that's happened. nanami can only assume all the pain that he has gone through at such a young age.
kneeling down to meet him at his eye level, nanami gives him a soft and sincere look. "I will be back tomorrow, itadori-kun. I will even bring you and this nice woman some fresh pancakes with strawberries if you go and get ready for bed right now, okay?"
with the promise of pancakes and another visit, yuji flashes a grin and quickly turns to bound up the stairs while yelling behind him, "don't forget the whipped cream!"
that causes him to chuckle, and nanami promises, "I won't forget."
after some more apologies, an exchange of information, and a swift goodbye, nanami finds himself walking back to his apartment.
he doesn't know exactly what implored him to visit the boy, but he knows he can't leave this alone. yuji deserves what is best for him, and if nanami is his best option, which he thinks he might be, then he will fulfill the role of caretaker for him. because no boy's spirit deserves to be crushed that young. pain and suffering are for adults.
the next day, after pancakes and an intense interview with a background check, nanami and yuji walk side by side, the boy's backpack flung over nanami's shoulder.
"oh! nanamin! I almost forgot," yuji gasps, "can I have my backpack?"
nanami leans over and hands it to the boy, who quickly zips it open and rummages through the contents. finally, the boy grabs a slightly crumpled piece of paper and presents it high in the air.
“this is for you!”
confused, nanami takes the piece of paper reluctantly, smoothing it gently before examining it. it takes awhile for nanami to register the artwork, coming to the conclusion that it’s just as it looks: a bunch of scribbled yellow lines filling the page.
“I drew it for you!,” yuji proclaims, “you know because yellow is your favorite color.”
nanami’s hand slowly rises to cover the stupid grin that’s plastered on his face. he mentally decides not to acknowledge the thin blur at the bottom of his vision. looking down at the boy now, nanami feels a warmth inside his chest that he’s never felt before.
“thank you, itadori-kun. I’ll cherish it forever.”
after many growing pains and bouts of self-doubt, yuji’s artwork, now framed and displayed in the bakery, serves as a reminder of why nanami decided to become a father that day, or, rather, how yuji decided for him.

The Maybank Twins
Summery: which dream would you pick?
Words: 1.7k
Warnings: grammar mistakes
A/N: Sorry I feel like this fic is all over the place and barely understandable but I had the idea of JJ having a twin since I learned JJ's real name was Jackson so I hope you like it anyway xx
JJ and Jackson were intensely different despite being twins. But it wasn't always like that.
Both boys were born kooks, but as children, the status did not matter. Being a kook or a pogue didn't have a meaning until you grew up. Kids from both sides of the island enjoyed playing with each other. That's why when they met you they didn't hesitate to befriend you even if you were a pogue.
On a beautiful Saturday, you took your shiny pink bike and began pedalling down the roads around town to the point where you crossed the line into Kook territory. You knew your dad wouldn't like you travelling so far from home but you loved to admire the large houses with picket fences and pools. You always dreamed of visiting one.
As you were looking with dreamy eyes at everything but the path in front of you, the front wheel of your bike caught the side of a sidewalk. The handlebars jerked to one side, and you tumbled forward. Hitting the ground with a soft thud, your knees scraped against the rough concrete.
You sat up slowly, tears welling in your eyes as you examined your knees. Both were scraped and red, with tiny spots of blood forming on the surface. Your palms stung from catching yourself.
The commotion probably alerted some people because next thing you knew two boys around the same age as you came running out of the house you were wrecked in front of.
They both darted out of the yard, weaving through the iron gate and across the street to where you sat on the concrete.
“Hey, are you okay?” one of them asked, crouching down beside you.
You sniffled, wiping your tears with your sleeve. “I fell off my bike.”
“Come in, we can give you a bandaid,” the second boy said without hesitation, looking at your scraped knees.
The first boy reached for your bike to place it to safety while the second helped you up on your feet and helped you inside the large mansion-looking house.
Inside, it felt even bigger. The tall ceiling and window looked fantastic. You almost forgot your pain as you looked over the various decorations.
“There sit” You sat down slowly on the gray cushions of the couch and tried to not get any blood on it.
“I’m JJ by the way, that was a badass fall, It looked so cool” He smiled and laughed, for a moment you were almost proud.
“Don't say that JJ she could have been really hurt and it's not cool” The boy crouched in front of you with a cloth soaked in lukewarm water and pressed it to your knee.
“You're just boring, Jackson, you don't think anything is cool!” JJ argued with his brother and Jackson furrowed his eyebrows.
“Yes, I do!” They continued bickering next to you until a beautiful blond lady came into the room.
“Boys, what is going on?” She asked with her hands on her hips looking over her twins.
The childish argument stopped immediately as if both of them were soothed by their mother's presence. “We saw this girl fall off her bike, we wanted to help her” JJ muttered.
“Did you guys ask her, her name?” She asked, raising an eyebrow. But both of them shook their heads. “I thought I raised you two to be gentlemen, what's your name honey?”
“y/n”
“That's such a pretty name, I hope these boys weren't too much of a pain for you” She whispered but JJ and Jackson definitely heard and you simply giggled.
This was the moment you began to be a constant person in their lives. Both of them loved you until they grew up and this love changed into something more.
When you all all turned from children to teenagers the words kooks and pogues began to have a meaning. You were now divided into two groups, rich and poor. But the boys didn't agree with this mindset. Especially JJ. After their mom died he became reckless. He Jumped on any opportunity to go on an adventure or to feel just an ounce of adrenaline. He was sick of the bubble wrap and wanted to live freely like the pogues.
Jackson on the other end even though he disliked the hate between each side of the island, he refused to drop everything like his brother to live a careless life. He wanted to go to college, he wanted to have a bright future, with a beautiful house, a wife and maybe even kids. He wanted the picket fence dream.
And you? You didn't know which dream to pick.
The dream with JJ where everything is joyful and exciting.
Or the dream with Jackson where everything is soothing and comforting.
JJ
The Bluetooth speaker blasted an upbeat song, filling the small living room with pounding bass and lyrics. JJ stood in the center of the room, wearing his signature goofy grin and wildly waving an imaginary microphone in the air.
“AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!” he screamed, his voice cracking in all the wrong places.
You rolled over on the couch in laughter, clutching your stomach. “JJ, you’re ruining Whitney Houston! That’s a crime!” You both laughed as the song ended and Don't Stop Me Now by Queen started playing
“You think that’s bad? Just wait for this!” JJ leaped onto the couch with a dramatic flair, now holding an empty glass beer bottle as a microphone. “DON’T STOP ME NOW! I’M HAVIN SUCH A GOOD TIME”
“ I’M HAVIN’ A BALL!” You screamed following the lyrics, jumping up to join him. You grabbed a remote control off the coffee table and sang into it like it was your own microphone, matching JJ’s energy note for note.
“You’re awful!” he yelled over the music, grinning ear to ear.
“Excuse me?” You shot back, pretending to be offended. “I’m carrying this!”
“Please, you’re the backup singer at best!”
“Asshole!” You gasped and pushed him making him stumble and fall on his butt on the soft cushion but he quickly recovered, standing back up and grabbing you by the hand to dance on the dirty rug. Without a second thought, he turned bringing you with him and dipping you as dramatically as he could making you both burst into uncontrollable laughter.
He pressed a big messy kiss on your cheek and laughed again at the disgusted face you made before wiping away the saliva with his palm.
The next song started—a slow, cheesy love ballad. JJ struck a mock-serious pose, reaching out a hand. “May I have this dance, milady?”
You rolled your eyes but played along, taking his hand. “You may, good sir.”
You swayed dramatically around the room, both purposefully stepping on each other’s feet and exaggerating every movement. JJ spun you out and back in, and you both collapsed onto the couch in a heap of laughter as the song ended.
“That was awful,” You said, catching your breath.
“The worst,” JJ agreed, his head tilted back against the cushions. Then he glanced at you, a mischievous sparkle in his eye. “Wanna go again?”
“Duh.”
It was always like that between you and JJ. Loud, obnoxious, happy. You both never caught a break in each other's presence. But you loved it, you loved him.
JACKSON
Your fist knocks softly on the door of the twin's house. The sound feels like it echoes in the home. After a couple of seconds of nothing, no voice, no footsteps you try again. Louder this time.
“JJ I swear if you forgot your keys again- oh hey” the door swung open revealing the twin you were looking for.
“Hey Jacks.” you smile noticing his messy blond hair meaning he was probably taking a nap.
“Uhm JJ isn't here” he scratched the back of his head and leaned on the doorframe.
“Actually I came to see you… we haven't hung out much lately” you said looking up at him.
“Yeah sorry, I've been studying a lot and I saw you and JJ hang out often. I didn't want to bother you know”
“You never bother, I'm your friend too” he nodded and lifted himself off the frame to let you into the house you knew so well. It was honestly a second home to you.
His room was dimly lit, and much cleaner than JJ’s. You and him lay side by side on the bed, your legs tangled in the blankets.
He stared up at the ceiling, one arm tucked behind his head, the other resting gently on your hand. You lay on your side, head propped in your palm as you looked at him, a small smile playing on your lips.
“Do you ever think about where we would be if you and JJ never saved me when I fell off my bike?” You asked softly, voice barely above a whisper.
Jackson turned his head to look at you, his light blue eyes warm and thoughtful. “All the time,” he admitted, his lips curling into a faint smile. “You're like the only person I can talk to about.. anything. JJ, he's my twin but it's easier with you. Moments like this are everything I look forward to.”
You tilted your head, studying him. “You mean laying in bed talking about everything and anything?”
He grinned. “Yeah I don't get to do it with anyone else”
Your chest warmed at his words, and you reached out to brush a strand of hair off his forehead. “I don't get to do it with anyone else either”
He raised a hand, his fingers brushing your cheek before leaning in to press a tender kiss to your forehead. It was soft, lingering, and full of unspoken affection. You closed your eyes at the touch, letting yourself sink into the quiet comfort of the moment.
It wasn't unusual for you both to show affection like that. Jackson's love language was physical touch and JJ's was quality time.
“I like this,” you murmured after a while, voice barely audible.
“Yeah?” he asked, his voice equally quiet.
“Yeah. Just… us. quiet, calm.”
Jackson smiled, his hand finding yours under the blankets and giving it a light squeeze. “Me too.”
And it was always like this with Jackson and you loved it, you loved him but you couldn't bring yourself to choose who you loved most.

“A Quiet Night at The Last Drop”
It’s a calm evening at The Last Drop, the dimly lit bar you’ve called home for the past few months. The sound of the glass bottles clinking, the low murmur of patrons chatting, and the soft buzz of the jukebox create a familiar, comfortable atmosphere. The place has always felt like your sanctuary—away from the chaos of the streets of Zaun, a quiet spot where you can breathe.
Tonight, you’re behind the bar, wiping down the counter and arranging bottles. The regulars are scattered around, nursing drinks and enjoying their usual, but it’s quieter than most nights. You glance at the clock—it’s nearing closing time. Just as you’re finishing up the last of your tasks, the door opens with a familiar jingle, and in walks Sevika.
She’s a striking presence, no matter where she goes. Her black hair tied back in a messy ponytail, her leather jacket just a little worn at the edges, and that determined, confident look she always wears. Tonight, she steps in with a tired yet relaxed posture, scanning the room before her gaze settles on you. Her usual confident swagger is there, but you can tell from the slight slouch of her shoulders that something’s on her mind.
Sevika’s eyes flick to the empty stools at the bar, and without a word, she walks over to where you stand. You greet her with a small, knowing smile.
“Long day?” you ask, your voice calm and easy. You’ve seen her walk in looking like this before—tired but not defeated.
She huffs a laugh, her lips curling into a half-smile. “You could say that. The usual, yeah?”
You nod, already reaching for the bottle of her preferred drink. “Coming right up.”
Sevika leans against the counter, watching you work. Her presence is a little intimidating to the other patrons, but there’s something oddly peaceful about the way she occupies the space. Despite the aura of strength that radiates from her, she never demands attention. She simply exists, quietly but firmly. And tonight, she’s here for a bit of quiet after whatever storm she’s been weathering.
As you set the drink in front of her, you notice her eyes linger on you for a moment longer than usual. There’s something different tonight—something softer in her gaze. Maybe it’s just the way she’s unwinding, or maybe it’s the way she lets herself be a little more vulnerable around you. Either way, you don’t comment on it. You never do.
“So,” you say, leaning against the bar with your own drink in hand. “How’s the world treating you today?”
Sevika shrugs, taking a long sip of her drink before answering. “Could be worse,” she says, her voice gravelly but calm. “Could be better, though. Just another day, you know?”
You smile softly, knowing exactly what she means. The weight of the world never really leaves, not for people like her. But she’s here, in this moment, allowing herself to rest. That’s all you can ask for.
The two of you fall into a comfortable silence. She’s not one for small talk, and you’re fine with that. There’s something nice about just being in each other’s company without the pressure of conversation. The hum of the bar and the clinking of glass is enough.
After a while, you catch her glancing up at you again, her expression unreadable at first. Then, with a small sigh, she straightens up, pushing away from the bar and looking at you more directly.
“Hey,” she says, her voice a little lower than usual. “You’re working hard tonight. If you’ve got a minute, maybe you could take a break. Come sit with me for a bit?”
It’s a rare offer. Sevika doesn’t often ask for anything, and when she does, it’s always a subtle invitation to connect. You nod without hesitation, wiping your hands on your apron and stepping out from behind the bar. She motions to the empty seat next to her, and you sit down, the two of you now side by side.
For the next hour or so, you talk casually. Sometimes about the bar, sometimes about the city, and sometimes about nothing at all. But the longer you sit there with her, the more you realize how much Sevika values these small moments of peace. As tough as she is, there’s a part of her that craves calm—just as much as you do.
You laugh at a joke she makes about the other patrons, and when you turn to face her, you catch her smiling in a way that’s rare. It’s not wide or exuberant, but it’s genuine. She seems more at ease than you’ve seen her in a long time.
The night eventually winds down, and the other patrons begin to trickle out, leaving you and Sevika alone in the quiet of the bar. It’s just the two of you now, the last remaining souls of the evening.
You give her a soft smile. “You ready to head out?”
Sevika finishes her drink, leaning back in her chair. “Yeah, in a minute. Just…” She trails off, as if she’s trying to find the right words. “Thanks for letting me crash here tonight.”
You chuckle, giving her a knowing look. “It’s my job. And besides, it’s not often I get to have a drink with someone like you. You’re good company.”
Her lips curl into a small smile, and she stands, stretching slightly. “Don’t get used to it,” she teases, but it’s clear she’s grateful for the offer.
You both linger for a moment, the unspoken understanding between you settling in the air. Sometimes, the best moments are the quiet ones.
And as you lock up the bar for the night, you realize that, for Sevika, The Last Drop isn’t just a place to get a drink—it’s a place to find a little peace, even if it’s just for a few hours.

hiii, i love your writing so freaking much, can i please ask for a Franco fic inspired on Gold rush by taylor swift? he just literally gave me that vibe and I NEED to read something like that, please and thank you <3
everybody wants you ‧₊˚✩ - franco colapinto
summary: when your best friend since birth finally joins you in formula one, it's safe to say that you're excited - though when it becomes apparent that he's the more favoured one, you start to doubt things, including your feelings w/c: 2.8k
a/n: oh anon i love this idea but also this was my first time listening to this song so i hope i interpreted it the way you hoped and did it service !!! <333
You hated how cliche it was.
The two of you were childhood best friends, together for as long as you could remember. You always credited yourself for getting into karting first and Franco, always eager to stay by your side, followed suit. The track only gave the two of you another domain to be inseparable in, with every race ending with both of you on the podium - and it never mattered who was first, only that you were both there, together.
There was an unspoken understanding in your hometown that the two of you were never to be separated, which you initially revelled in, but the older you got the more you felt yourself developing a feeling towards your friend you couldn’t quite explain. Somewhere in the realm of jealousy, just beyond admiration and reaching just short of a childhood crush.
It came in waves, flowing whenever you were reminded of just how different the two of you were, and how inadequate you felt next to him - with his charismatic personality and curly brown hair that always fell perfectly into place, always drawing more and more people towards him. The more time you spent with him, the more you found yourself wondering why he had chosen you of all people to stick so close by, even if he never gave you a reason to doubt it.
And so when you decided to move away to pursue racing, it wasn’t shocking that Franco would too. The two of you set off, after many tearful goodbyes to your friends and family back home, to brace the world, hand in hand.
You stayed racing for the same teams, always getting promoted or signed at the exact same time - almost as if the universe had heard the same unspoken understanding of your town, and knew that you worked best together. And whilst it helped to see each other during practices, debriefs, and even wearing the same uniforms, it was far from the only thing that kept your friendship strong.
Away from almost everything else the two of you knew, you clung to each other tightly and came to know absolutely everything about each other through it. Hushed midnight conversations, early morning snack runs, and even visiting landmarks as you grew and travelled countries - all the while with Franco by your side.
Strangely enough, it never did occur to you to see the boy beside you as more than just a friend - no matter how much the other girls you befriended seemed to think otherwise. Whenever they would sneakily whisper to you, asking whether you were sure the two of you were just friends you would always roll your eyes shooting back something along the lines of Ew? Franco? No, we’ve known each other forever - which typically made them happy to pursue him themselves, even if they strangely never succeeded.
All this came to a screeching halt in the summer of your second year in Formula Two, however, when you were met with a contract deal from Alpine Racing. A racing seat for one.
“You’re taking it right?” his voice is excited as the two of you sit in the stuffy hostel room you’re sharing with about eight other strangers, all too broke or cheap to pay for anything better. Franco was the first you had told, before your coach, before your family, before anyone.
“I don’t know Franco, I mean-“
“What? Why wouldn’t you?”
You chew your bottom lip as you fiddle with the bedsheet below you, not able to look him in the eye. “It means we won’t get to race together you know,” you sigh.
“Well you don’t know that, maybe you race alone for a year but once I make it into F1 we’ll be side by side again! Plus you’re stupid if you think I won’t be visiting every one of your races anyway.”
You watch his green eyes scan your expression, searching for a clue to how you’re feeling.
“It’s just a big step, I don’t know if I’m ready for it.”
“I think you’re more than ready,” he insists, though you don’t feel convinced.
When you finally speak again your voice is tiny, “I’m scared, Franco.”
In that moment, he gives you a sympathetic look before pulling you into a tight hug and even though neither of you spoke about it again that night, you knew exactly what it meant - I know you’re scared, but I’m here for you.
And you aren’t ashamed of the fact that it was his reaction alone that pushed you to make the decision to take up the deal, and you couldn’t have been happier that you did. At least, that’s how you felt for the initial months of your contract which was filled with cocktail parties, race suit fittings and media interviews. And despite what you had expected, and as selfish as it might’ve been, having Franco not by your side for once felt like a breath of fresh air you hadn’t known you needed - it filled you with a lone sense of pride, having ‘made it’ without someone being right there for you to be compared to.
It was perhaps this sense of pride that helped you manage to score points on your debut. You still remember running up to where Franco was waiting for you in the garage, the biggest smile on both of your faces as you jumped into his arms - and it felt, just for a moment, like this euphoria might’ve been what you had spent your whole life waiting for.
But perhaps you had spoken too soon, since your progress saw a steep decline causing you to lose not only the chances to score points and impress your team, but also the confidence you had spent so long working on.
And one night, just when it seemed like you were at your lowest, after a weekend full of DNFs and near-crashes - the most unexpected thing happened. A singular text from Franco, halfway across the world, excitedly explaining how he was going to be filling a position in Formula One, in a different team to you.
There wasn’t a single word to describe the millions of emotions you felt rushing through you in that moment. For one, surprise at the mid-season switch as well as a certain sort of selfish disappointment that you would no longer be the only one in the highest form of the sport you both loved. But above all else, a thrumming excitement about being with your best friend once more - to see him at the paddock, catch up with him during sessions and not have to trek all the way into grandstands just to see his face.
It didn’t take you long to realise though, that you were far from the only one who felt this way. It was almost like the moment Franco stepped foot on the paddock, donning the blue of Williams for his first race weekend, the world fell in love with him. Online, conversations about him blew up to the point where you couldn’t go moments without being bombarded by clips of his interviews or edits of him. It was strange, one part of you felt proud that the world was finally waking up to the treasure that was your best friend, but another felt the strong urge to hide him away, for him to be all yours.
A small part of you had expected this, having known Franco and his personality since before you could put it into words - but what you hadn't expected was for him to also back it up with amazing performances. Now, it was him who was scoring points and impressing everyone - and you who was left to do little more other than celebrate with him, for your own results paled in comparison. And once news got out about you being childhood friends, through a couple of grainy leaked photos of the two of you smiling proudly in your tiny karts, the comparisons started up again.
It was like salt in the wound, agonisingly so - seeing your best friend adored him doing well in the sport you got into first, while you were left to, weekend after weekend, fail to make it into points range. And to make matters worse, the media frenzy that cropped up around Franco did little other than make you come to a realisation you might've spent your whole life running from - that you were jealous, not of Franco, but of those who loved him. That maybe your desire to constantly stick by his side was more than just a childish habit, and that your jealousy of his achievements was just a reminder that you’d never be more than just a friend, one that was always a little behind, a little worse.
Despite your best efforts, the two of you began to drift apart, each achievement he got driving a deeper and deeper wedge between you. It hurt a lot, race weekends beginning to bleed into each other - a plain blur of failed races, celebrations from other teams, and Franco's adoring fans.
It all seemed to come to a head one weekend, a minor crash in an earlier lap winding you up in the Alpine garage - sweaty, irritated and extremely exhausted. Yet you continued to watch the race, not so much for anyone else, but more so that you could keep a close eye on the blurry blue car, and its driver.
And before you knew it you were watching it cross the finish line in third, Franco’s first podium - right in front of your eyes.
You weren’t sure why, but your first instinct was to hastily get up from the fold-out chair you were sitting on and rush away to your driver's room, like a child throwing an immature tantrum. You knew Franco well enough to know he’d come looking for you but knew yourself enough just as well to know you couldn’t face him right now. With everything that had been going on, with the constant stream of less-than-kind comments you were getting online and the extreme dip in your performance, the last thing you wanted was to be reminded of your inadequacy. It was extremely selfish, sure, but you convinced yourself that you were actually doing Franco a favour since you knew your acting skills were too poor to convincingly put on a show as he celebrated right in front of you. You always had been a faster runner than him, at least, that’s what years of playground tag had told you.
But it had been a while since then and before you could make it to your room you heard an all-too-familiar voice call from behind you.
“Hey!”
“Not now Franco,” you huff, so close to the door of your room that you’ve got one hand on its handle already.
“What? C’mon, I just got a podium and that’s all you have to say?” You pause at the handle, the hurt tone in his voice pulling at your heartstrings.
“Yeah, I saw, good job but I just can’t right now.”
“Can’t what? You’re joking, right?” His voice rises in volume a little, and he sounds in disbelief - you’re glad the garages are mostly empty so that no one can see the scene he’s making.
“No, I’m not,” you shoot back firmly. You’re still facing away from him, arm hanging limp from the door handle - you can’t remember the last time you felt this defeated, this tired.
“Seriously, what is going on with you lately? It’s like, you were so excited for us to race together but now we barely talk even though we see each other every day.”
“Franco,” you say, quietly.
“We’ve known each other forever but this feels like the first time where I truly have no clue what is going on in your head, why don’t you ever talk to me anymore? You don’t think I don’t notice you avoiding me?”
“Franco, please.” You feel tears pricking up at the corners of your eyes, and it doesn’t help how accusatory he sounds.
“Please, what?”
“Please, just go celebrate.”
“No! If you think I’m just going to leave now without you, you’re seriously ridiculous. I mean, this is what we always dreamed of, isn’t it?”
At that, you turn around to face him - looking him in the eyes for the first time in what feels like months. You watch his brows unfurrow immediately as his expression softens at the sight of you, tears welling up in your eyes which are surrounded by dark circles, marks left from your many sleepless nights. It’s clear that he notices how small you look as well as you hunch into yourself, barely having the energy to stand up straight.
“Woah, hey,” he says, his tone gentle now.
“Don’t do this Franco, don’t talk to me like we’re still children,” you say, instinctively defensive.
“Aren’t we?”
You let out a laugh, soft yet cruel as you struggle to hold in your tears, “Everything’s different now, isn’t it? When was the last time we were on a podium together or even spoke face to face like this.”
“What are you even saying?” You feel a pang of pain in your heart at the look in his eyes, a little anger mixed with disbelief.
“I’m saying, that maybe being friends isn’t going to work if we’re racing against each other anymore. Have you seen the way I get compared to you relentlessly? Everyone loves you, everyone wants you, and I’m just, there! Do you have any idea what that’s like? To have no one backing you?”
“You’re my best friend, I’m right here, backing you!”
“Franco,” you say, just above a whisper.
There’s a moment of silence, and you can see Franco working up the courage to say something, his hands fiddling with the fireproof mask he’s been holding this whole time. You feel a couple of tears finally make their way down your cheeks and you do your best to wipe them away, eager to not embarrass yourself in front of him anymore.
“I love you.” He finally says.
“Don’t say that, please, don’t say that.” You’re about to turn away, ready to just shut yourself in your room.
“No, like, I love you.” You hear him take a couple steps closer to you, to the point where he’s right behind you.
“You don’t mean that,” you sigh.
“I do,” he says, barely above a whisper, “I have, for years.”
You pause, silently turning around to face him, and it feels like the breath has been knocked out of you. He looks at you, nervously waiting for a response though trying to put on a face that tells you how serious he is about what he’s just said.
“And I know that you probably don’t feel the same but I need you to know this because I can’t keep going on like this, barely seeing or talking to you and-” he begins to ramble, and all you do is let out a relieved sigh as you lean forward to rest your head on his chest in silence. However, it’s clear this confuses him as he stops talking immediately.
“I love you too, Franco.”
“Wh- really?”
“Yes,” you say, the smile audible in your voice.
“Like, seriously?”
“As serious as a heart attack.” You lean back against the door with a smile of relief, or as much a smile as you can muster up figuring that you feel like you’re about to collapse right there and then.
“I’d kiss you but,” he gestures to his face and hair which is drenched in sweat.
“Oh shut up and come here,” you say quietly, looping your arms around his neck as you pull him close to you. When your lips meet his arms wrap around your waist as he pushes you up against the door of your room, and even though you couldn’t care less, you’re once again glad there’s no one here to see the two of you. No cameras, no fans, no other drivers - just the two of you, and the years of history between you.
When you part, his face is flushed as he offers you a shy smile, his arms still around your waist. “You have no idea how long I’ve waited to hear you say that.”
“I could say the same for you.”
“So, what now?” he asks.
“You go celebrate your first podium,” you reply excitedly.
“We,” he corrects, finally unlooping his arms to take you by the hand and lead you out of the garage - and whilst your beaming smiles might’ve seemed to many the results of his podium, the two of you knew they were part of something much, much bigger.

I feel like embry a type is someone so sweet cute clothes but a freaky one
cute cute okay hope you enjoy :) next part
which way - embry x reader
Two figures were basking in the afternoon day. The window was wide open, the soft breeze flow through. The conversation was light and a bit hushed.
You both lie on your bed as you lay on your side with your head resting your head up, your other hand was close to him.
He lay mirrored to your position. One elbow supported his upper body, his other hand was close to you.
You reach and wipe a small tear, flicking it elsewhere as you then ask with a smile, “And then what happened?”
Softly chuckling, he then speaks out, “We both ended up falling.” He shakes his head at the memory.
“Poor baby. I would’ve protected you had you been there.” you joke and say and earn a laugh from him.
Embry was finished telling the story how he went ice skating with his friends. One of his friends grabbed onto him while they were falling. You were entrapped in his storytelling. He did a good job of making you feel like you were in it.
“Next time, it will just be us.” Embry declares but reaches his close hand to cover yours. As he smooths out the skin of your hand, you tell reveal to him, “I would like to meet your friends.”
Embry blinks.
He started to get a bit antsy and you rub his arm, soothing him and sensing his nervousness.
“I don’t think it’s really necessary, really.” Embry says.
“Come on. You tell me stories like that and I don’t get to meet these guys?” you ask while a chuckle bubbles from your throat as your brain went back to imagining how the clumsy catastrophe he told you, would look like.
“Yeah, but…” Embry says and looks at you and shrug. You then decided to let the conversation flow into another direction.
Leaving his home, you forgot that you need some toothpaste. Looking through the different selection, you hear a woman voice.
“Your shoes are cute!”
You turn around and see a short haired woman staring back at you. A soft smile is on her face as she looks down then back at you.
“Oh. Thanks.” You say politely with your own small smile.
You then look at her.
“Your shirt is cute.” you tell her back and she smiles and says, “Thank you.”
“Where did you get it from?” you ask as you now had the toothpaste you wanted in your hand. She tells you as you both walk toward the checkout line.
“I love that place.” you comment and she nods and smiles, “We should go together.”
Your smile turns bigger.
“I would love that.”
Exchanging phone numbers, you two go on each other’s way.
You two did follow with each other’s plans. You both met up with each other that following weekend as Embry told you he had work.
You and Leah did mostly window shopping but it was nice to get to know each other better. The conversations flowed as you two bounced comedically off one another.
“I have a friend. He’s single.” Leah tells you as you both bite into a snack.
This makes you chuckle lightly, “Really? Already trying to hook me up with someone?”
Leah shrugs with a smile.
Leah comes back and entered Sam and Emily’s home. A smile on her face made people ask her, “Where did you come from?”
“Just got back from a day out. I met this girl and Embry I swear she’s your type to a T.” Leah says as she sees Embry sitting at the table.
“What do you mean my type?” Embry inquired.
“I’m telling you, you guys would look perfect together.” Leah says as she also haves a seat.
Embry shakes his head with a grin, “You are something else.”
You saw him the following day. You both shared a grin and before you both could speak, you both laugh. That’s what you both loved about each other. No words could be said and one look could make each other laugh.
“What did you do yesterday?” Embry asks as he traced his finger in your hand. He held it out as he watched. You watched as well.
“Went shopping with a friend. She tried hooking me up with someone.” you say and you playfully roll your eyes.
He laughs, “My friend tried to hook me up too.” You share a laugh with him.
“Nobody’s taking you away from me.” you say and lean forward to place a kiss on his nose.
“And nobody’s taking you away from me.” Embry declares as his lips pressed to your lips.
You thought it would a small light peck but, the strength of his body weight fluidly pushed your body back onto his soft bed.
You smile into the kiss as your body jolted with excitement. Everytime you got excited, Embry got even more excited. His hand shook as your legs were in the air as he hastily pulled your pantries off. You sit up and he’s already naked and grabs your hand as he stares you. You’re pumping him and watching him grow. A deep pit fills your stomach as hes grunting and unashamedly using his fingers to leave goosebumps on your skin. He sits up and pulls you close to him. You’re both sitting in front of each other and you scoot in to place your legs on each side of his body. The excitement alone in his eyes created noises from you. He’s sleeking himself along your wet moist center as you two grind and fall into intoxicated kisses. You loved how he held you close and pulled your hair back with one big hand, exposing your neck up to him. He always took advantage as he slammed you up and down on him. His hand was gripping all of you as you grip onto him back. You just loved spending time with him.
Sitting on the bench, you decided to just bring a comic book that Embry let you borrow to read as the day wasn’t so bad with weather.
“Where did you get that from?”
You hear a male voice and look over to see a set of eyes staring at you. You turn to see if maybe he’s talking to anybody else but you don’t have long to question because the voice speaks again as they read the cover with clear diction but it was filled with humor that made you smile a bit.
“There’s only one other person I know who reads that.” They say as they now sit on the bench.
“You don’t like it?” you ask since he gave a disbelief look while shaking his head.
“Let’s just say it caused a lot of arguments.” They say as they look off and you laugh.
He introduces himself and they ask what you think about it.
“I don’t know it’s pretty cool. The plot makes sense so and it’s not too destructive. Hopefully no one dies.” you say as you held it up slightly.
“You sound just like him.” They laugh as they point a bit.
You capture the finger with your hand and tell them it’s not funny.
“Quil, I’m not interested in your little friend. You just reminded me to head home.”
You say but he jumps up and says, “Or..” he drags out with a smirk and you just stare at him, “We could go to the comic store.” He says and you roll your eyes hard but you agree.
You enjoyed the banter between you two. It felt natural and easy and you both agreed to hang out again soon. You don’t say goodbye because he begs one more time to let him introduce you to a friend of his.
Embry knocks on Quil’s door to remind him to know it’s his turn for patrol. Quil opens it and soon they fall into the conversation of what Quil did earlier.
“The same exact comic book.” Quil says and Embry looks uninterested.
“Dude, i’ve never seen a girl with that. This girl has to be your soulmate. I’m hooking you two up.” Quil continued and Embry waved him off.
“You’re missing out.” Quil says, eyeing his friend that wouldn’t take the bait.
“I’m not missing much. Trust me.” Embry says as he closed his eyes while he laughed.
Embry was supposed to grab a bite with Jacob. You were hungry and decided to drop by to treat your hunger pain.
Jacob was midway done with his food as you walked into the food place. You eyed the menu as he overheard you order.
When you were done, you then typed to Embry that he should meet you at the same place that you’re eating at.
Jacob received the news from Embry that he had a change of plans, Jacob didn’t care. He ate already. He gets up and makes a comment to you as he throws his trash away.
“You order like someone I know.” He just says and you take a look at him.
“Is that a bad thing or a good thing?” you ask with a nervous chuckle.
He takes a pause as he takes a moment, not long, to think, “It’s a him thing.” he decides.
“Your friend has good taste.” you say with unserious humor coating your tone.
He takes a look at you before saying, “You’re his taste, actually.”
You roll your eyes, “Yeah, I get that alot.” you say. You remember the hookups of people trying to get with you and their friend.
“Im so serious. I have to introduce you two, you both would hit it off.” he says.
“I don’t even know you. So, I definitely don’t want to get to know your friend.” you say and he introduces himself.
“Jacob, I still don’t want your friend.” you say and laugh.
“Be my friend. At least.” Jacob says. He thinks it’s easier to introduce you two.
“We have nothing in common.” you comment.
Jacob’s eyes look around the restaurant.
“Uh..Yeah, we do.”
“Good point.” you say.
Jacob walks back in the direction he came from when he sees a familiar face.
“I swear she ordered the exact same way.” Jacob says as he walked with Embry back to the place he left from.
“Oh, yeah?” Embry asks, not really listening. He was looking forward to sitting down with you.
“She was just here, I swear.” Jacob says as he looked around. Embry just clasps his shoulder, “Better luck next time.”
Jacob walks away confused and you come out of the bathroom.
“Hey, I ordered for both of us.” you say as you held him close to you as you greet him.
He placed a sweat heart kiss on your cheek as he smiled, “Thanks.”
You both sit and eat as you two talk.
“I was supposed to meet a friend but I’d rather hang with you.” Embry admits.
“Wow.” you say laughing.
Wanting to get home before the rain, you kiss him a farewell. He watched you leave until he couldn’t see your figure anymore.
With a reminder, you remember to return a package. Trying to open the big glass door, you try to hold tight of the big package as well.
The door soon opens with ease as a large hand graced the top of the door, holding it open.
“Thank you.” you say.
“Jeez what are you bringing back?” they ask and the bluntness makes you laugh.
“Something that I bought off of impulse.” you simply say and they ask a question, “What?”
“A gaming console.” you say and sigh as you look at the item you barely touched. The money
They laugh, “You remind me of someone I know.”
“Really? Well, I hope they were a good person.” you say as you wait in line.
“Yeah, he’s a pretty good guy.” they say and then take a look at you and asks for your name and introduces themselves.
“Anyways, I can definitely see you two together.” he says.
“Not interested, Paul.” you say as you look about.
“You don’t even know what the guy look like.” Paul says with a smile.
“I’m sure he’s nothing I’ve seen before.” you smoothly replied with and place the package on the counter.
Paul pressed the buttons on the controller as Embry is focused on the tv.
“I’m telling you there’s fish in the sea. Met a girl and she’s right up your alley.” Paul says.
Embry moves his character on the screen and says, “Is that so?” he boredly asks.
“Come on, don’t be like that. She was cute.” Paul says.
Embry sighs without interest, “You think every girl is cute.”
“Not true.” Paul says and with that, defeats Embry’s character.
You pushed your cart through the store as you let your eyes look for the thing that you needed. Opening the large freezer door, you reach with your fingertips to capture the cold beverage but it was too high.
You go to stand on your tippy toes until a hand plucks it from the spot before your eyes.
You smile at them and reply with, “Thanks.”
“No problem. Ugh, not you too!” they say as they look at the label.
The humor in the exclaim makes you laugh, “What? You don’t like this one?” you ask.
“It’s overrated.” They reply and you ask him, “Alright then. What’s your favorite…?” you ask and he fills in the blank.
“Jared. And I like…this one.” he replies and picks up his claim.
You both walk out of the store as you held your bag in one hand. You press your drink to Jared’s bottle and he says, “Cheers.” You both take a sip.
“You said you too. Who’s the other person who likes this.” you ask.
“Just a friend of mine…You both act similar, that’s so funny.” he says.
“Really?” you say. He nods.
“I have to get you guys to meet someday.” he says. You pay this no mind.
You finally meet up with Embry as he takes the half drunken bottle from your fingers. He greets you with a kiss and then looks at the flavored beverage.
“Can I have the rest of this?” he asks you.
“Of course.” you reply and grab his hand as he downs the drink.
You watch the two figures figure out the game. The wind blew softly and coldly, but it still felt good. Sitting on the rock, you were waiting for Embry.
The ball flew over to you and luckily you were paying attention, you catch it.
“Sorry! Nice catch!” The voice says. You smile and tell them thanks.
“Come on, play with me.” they say with a smile .
“I don’t play with strangers.” you say. They tell you their name.
“Seth, you’re not beating me.” you tell him with a wicked smile as you get up to join his game.
“I did beat someone older than me before. You should meet him.” he says.
“Ha. Ha.” you say dryly.
Seth laughs, “Yeah, you two would get along great.”
The game was very friendly with a touch of competitiveness.
“Don’t be a sore loser.” you say while smiling.
“Oh, hush.” Seth says in a playful tone, before glancing at his phone.
“Shoot, gotta go. You come here to this beach a lot?” he asks you. You nod.
“Later!” he says and jets off. His mother wants him home for dinner.
Embry brushed up the broken light bulb glass. He throws the debris and the rest of it into the trash can.
“I’ll be back. I’ll just grab one from the hardware store.” you tell him.
“Alright.” he replies.
Your eyes search for them, but you don’t see them. You then take your eyes to look for a cashier or a store worker.
A tall man is in your view and you decide to ask him since he was looking at something complicated.
“Hi, do you know where they keep the lightbulbs? I don’t see any workers around.” you say.
“They’re all chatting in the back.” he says with a chuckle and you join in, “They’re right over there.” he directs and you thank him.
You both check out at the same time.
“What is that for?” you ask him of his item he bought.
“It’s for a furnace.” he answers back.
“Nice. And here I’m replacing a broken light bulb.” you say and he chuckles.
“I remember when I had one.” he says as he remembers.
“Oh, yeah? What happened?” you ask as you both join the counter.
He tells you the story of his friend who swung his long arms too hard while dancing and it shattered at his feet. You both share laughs.
“Do you have parties often?” you ask as you both walk out.
“They’re not parties, really. Just get togethers. You should come. I can introduce you to someone you would like.” he says.
“I could use some friends.” you say with a smile. You emphasize the word friends. You were interested in getting to know someone when Embry was the one who made you the most happiest person in world.

breaking the internet
chapter three part 2 After one video and a candid photo, Miss Journalist and Hiori go viral as their chemistry together off-camera stirs up unexpected fan attention, leaving them both wondering what’s next.. blue lock longfic series pairinghiori yo x reader contains slow slow slow burn, post blue lock timeskip, afab!reader, angst, fluff masterlist
When the video is posted, fans flock to it, flooding the comments with love for how goofy, fun, and relatable Bastard München is.
The support pours in across social media, and you can’t help but feel a warm pride at how it all turned out. Your role as the audience’s eyes and ears seems to have struck a chord, with fans calling your presence refreshing and authentic.
Raichi earns the affectionate title of "boyfailure" from fans, who find his antics both chaotic and endearing. They jokingly thank you for covering the camera when he went topless but not-so-subtly request sweaty, shirtless Isagi and Yukimiya footage for future content.
Others requested a cooking video featuring Gagamaru.
As for the dribbling drills, fans can’t stop talking about how intimate it looked, many calling you “lucky” to have a one-on-one crash course with a pro like Hiori.
Of course, Coach Noa’s commanding presence sparks its own wave of thirsty comments, with people shamelessly asking if he’s single or available for marriage.
But it’s the next video that Bastard München’s social media posts that truly shocks you — and the entire internet.
What starts as a harmless blooper reel quickly spirals into something else entirely. The video opens with Sachs chasing a topless Raichi around the field. Gagamaru serves potstickers in the kitchen with motherly precision.
Ness is spotted studying, his room neat as a pin. Isagi, Kurona, and Kunigami run laps, their shirts sticking to their backs as they sweat under the sun. Coach Noa looms broodingly in the background, observing the team’s drills with laser focus.
Then, the clips shift. There’s Hiori teaching you during the dribbling drills, his tone soft and encouraging. You laugh awkwardly as you try to trap the ball, missing it ungracefully, but his quiet smile in the background makes the moment feel oddly tender.
The next clip shows the two of you sitting on the field after practice, grass sticking to your clothes, both of you sweaty and tired. Hiori’s holding up his phone, showing you his Monster Hunter Now account, and your faces are so close it’s a miracle neither of you noticed.
Your laughter mixes with his, light and unguarded, and the camera captures it all as if the world had briefly fallen away, leaving just the two of you.
And then the video moves on, but your mind doesn’t. Your heart races, pounding in your chest so loudly that the rest of the reel becomes background noise.
Before you can process what you’ve just seen, your phone buzzes with a Winstagram notification:
Bastard München tagged you in a story.
Your throat dries up. Hesitant, you click it open.
Bastard München’s story is a series of candid snapshots from the day, each one highlighting a different player. But then you see it — the photo that makes your stomach flip.
It’s a candid shot of you and Hiori sitting on the field. He’s looking at you, his expression soft, his eyes carrying something unspoken that makes your cheeks burn. You’re gazing off into the distance, a gentle smile on your lips, completely oblivious to the moment.
The text on the image reads: When the game ends, but the chemistry continues.
Your breath hitches. Your heart feels like it’s trying to beat its way out of your chest, and a flood of emotions crashes over you — embarrassment, disbelief, and something fluttery and warm that you can’t quite name.
It doesn’t take long for your colleagues and editor to blow up your phone, their messages ranging from teasing to outright gossiping.
Amid the chaos, a new notification pops up: a direct message from hiori_yo23.
hiori_yo23: wanna play monhun, miss cute journalist? hiori_yo23: (☆`• ω •´)b
You stare at the screen, your lips curving into an involuntary smile. He doesn’t seem the least bit fazed by the uproar that photo will undoubtedly cause in the coming hours — or days.
For a moment, you forget about the world outside and type your reply:
yn_offthepage: g! ill be in ur care. ໒꒰ྀིᵔ ᵕ ᵔ ꒱ྀི১ hiori_yo23: i gotchu ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ )
amari's notes: tooth rotting fluff?! hiori you are a menace to the society, you tease i decided to split this from the first part coz i don't wanna ruin the angst and fluff. my proofreader (who is a guy and has't read/watched bllk) was giddy and cringing (in a good way) when he read this! we're finally picking up pace, i'm excited for the next chapter hihi (♡ˊ͈ ꒳ ˋ͈)

Watching the episode again and I just cannot get over how well done it all is! One of the things I focused on this time was the way they managed to show us the state of TK and Carlos' relationship. We haven't really checked in with them one on one since episode 5, and I think there's so much here that can give us insight into what has been going on since then:
We see that the box is still in use! Since we're told in this episode that Gabriel died a year and a half ago, that means that about 6 months have passed and Carlos is still using the box! This shows clearly that he's been making serious efforts to be more present. I noticed some people hypothesizing that the fact that his phone was outside of the box was meant to show he was struggling to be fully present, and that's definitely a valid interpretation and maybe it is what they were going for...but to me, it seemed like the phone was outside of the box just because it was being charged. Carlos still left the phone next to the box when he went to bed and I think that indicates some major effort!
However, the presence of the box a whole 6 months later also indicates to me that they ARE still struggling. Things aren't 100% fixed. If they were, I don't think the box would really be necessary anymore.
Carlos wakes up on his day off and the first thing he does is reach for his husband. When he realizes TK isn't there, Carlos goes to find him, expresses his desire to spend the morning of their shared day off sleeping in together, and then kisses his cheek and sits on the couch next to him. TK is not remotely surprised by these behaviors. To me, this shows that there is not constant tension between them. They are loving and affectionate with each other. They look forward to spending time together and make efforts to do so.
When Carlos announces that he wanted them to sleep in on their shared day off, he makes it seem like such a thing is a rarity. Add to that the fact that he worked so late the night before that TK wasn't sure when he got home, and it's clear that they aren't getting to spend nearly as much time together as they'd like. While it doesn't seem like this is some dire situation, it certainly may be contributing to remaining issues that they are having.
The way Carlos talks about their counseling makes it sound like they are still going, which I think is a really good thing because it again shows major effort being made in their relationship!
All these things perfectly set the scene for the conflict in this episode, showing clearly that these two love each other, they're putting real work into their relationship, but they're still struggling. Under those circumstances, when you add in a major crisis and upheaval like the Jonah situation, it's inevitable that things aren't going to go smoothly. However, their love and soulmatism is still shining through, and we know they're going to make it and come out the other side stronger than ever!
#too many words i know#but sorry i can't stop gushing about how much i love this episode!!#911 lone star

Boyfriends and mentors - Tony stark x reader, Peter Parker x reader
summary: peter brings his gf to meet tony, his mentor. But when he gets dragged away for nightly rounds, he doesn't think as much as he should before leaving you two alone. cw: SMUT, cheating (r! on peter), age gap (20s and 40s) reader is described as shorter than tony and having hair that can be 'tucked behind your ear', slight angst at the end, reader regrets it. 3.5k wc
An extended hand.
A welcoming smile.
A classic 'girl next door' outfit.
A nervous glance back to your boyfriend.
That was all it took for Tony to be wrapped around your finger. Your smile faltered when your hand stood unshaken a few seconds beyond comfortable. Tony blinked twice, stepping forward to shake your hand, his second hand clasping around your shoulder as he tugged you closer to him, walking you into his lab and welcoming you to his 'sacred space'. Peter's shoulders slumped in relief, following his two favourite people in the world into the room.
Tony jogged ahead of you to clear some things from one of the two stools in the room, gesturing for you to sit down whilst he took his place on the other chair. Tony knew you were a special girl. Peter spoke about you all the time, going on about your skills and kindness, and beauty. Most importantly, you were special enough for Peter to bring you to the Stark Tower, filled to the brim with avengers and spies who only had to look at your face to know every detail about your life. Tony dismissed the questions you asked him, claiming "You probably already know too much" before turning the tables, nodding along as you answered his queries.
You leaned forward as you spoke to Tony, or 'Mr. Stark' as you called him, a curious gleam in your eyes. Laughing where appropriate and mirroring his body language, you were pulling out all the tricks for him to like you. It seemed to be working. You hadn't thought much about meeting the Tony Stark — probably overrated and not as attractive in real life. But boy were you wrong. The older man looked engaged as you spoke, stroking his salt and pepper beard in interest. All you wanted was for him to approve of you, especially as Peter's girlfriend, and not at all because you wanted a man as handsome as him to like you. Peter, who now stood behind you, chest to your back, one hand on your hip whilst the other held yours, squeezing your palm lightly in reassurance. Glancing back at your boyfriend, you grinned at him, feeling your cheeks heat up when he leaned in close to press a quick kiss to your lips. "I'm so glad you guys are getting along well."
Tony grinned, getting up to retrieve a bottle of whiskey from the shelf with two glasses, asking "You old enough to drink yet?" You laughed, nodding your head yes. "I am, Mr. Stark, but I'm not such a fan of whiskey." Tony hummed, eyebrows raising in mock surprise. "Oh right. Well, wine?" You shrugged your shoulders with a smile, muttering a "Sure, why not?" He scavenged for wine glasses in his cupboard — an odd collection you thought for a lab — before pouring a glass for you each. "Spider-Man here has nightly rounds soon, and I can't be sending the kid off to work drunk." Peter huffed behind you, mumbling something about 'not a kid', but you paid him no attention, clinking your glass with the boy's mentor.
"Wait! Rounds!" Peter gasped, "That's like, now!" He realised, rushing around the work space to sling his bag over his shoulder. "I'm sorry baby, we have to go." Peter sighed disappointedly, his eyebrows furrowing worriedly. "The party just started," Tony started, swirling the wine around in his glass "Hey, why don't you go ahead and y/n and I can get to know each other a little better?" Peter's eyes lit up at the suggestion, a smile forming on his face. "I can get her a drive home if she needs one. Unless..." Tony pointed at Peter, a thoughtful look on his face. "Yeah, yeah, I'll come back and get you when I'm done, yeah babe?" You nodded happily, swinging your legs on the high stool.
Peter ran towards you, pecking your lips lightly before swiftly existing the room, metal doors automatically closing behind him. You caught Tony moving in your line of sight, twisting in your chair to revert your attention back to him. "Now that he's gone you can tell me all the dirty stuff." You felt the heat make its way to your face at Tony's comment, unsure if he was joking. His face broke out into a laugh at the taken aback look you sported, exclaiming "I'm joking sweetheart!" You felt your heart beat particularly hard.
Sweetheart.
Peter never called you that, only ever sticking to 'babe, baby', or just your name. Tony was a man of taste — you could tell by the delicious wine. Assuming it was because he was older would be rude, so you stuck with the idea that it was due to his charm. Touchy enough to make you feel welcome, but not too touchy to make you uncomfortable.
"Penny for your thought?"
You broke out of your trance, shaking your head with a nervous chuckle "Sorry. I- I just get worried about Peter whenever he goes." The lie rolled off your tongue before you could stop it, the fact that the man in front of your could probably read your body language not occurring to you. Tony grinned, scanning your body from head to toe, grateful he was sat close enough to you that the work space wasn't covering your entire body. Your legs were swinging slowly where they couldn't reach the ground, your short dress splayed over your thighs. Thighs, ever so slightly squeezing against each other to show your... excitement to meet your boyfriend's mentor. Your hands clutched the sides of the seat underneath you — probably to stop yourself from fidgeting. Your head was often tilted downwards, if not looking around. You avoided looking at him unless he spoke directly to you, in which case you'd intensely return his eye contact.
"Worrying about your boyfriend isn't healthy for a relationship." Tony commented, a mischievous glint in his eyes. You grimaced a little, feeling caught out in your lie, and hopped off the stool. Leaning your elbows on the table in front of you, you observed the space, starting "So what's this stuff you're working on now." Topic averted, Tony noted, getting off his chair. Not a healthy relationship, he thought, at least from your side. Tony approached you until he was stood directly beside you. "Fixing a jet for my suit." You hummed in interest, watching as Tony swiped his hand in thin air, projecting a three dimensional display of the iron man suit.
Clicking on a few things, Tony pointed at the broken jet on his suit, gently placing a hand on your back as he explained it to you. The sudden touch had you taken a sharp breath, eyes going slightly wide in surprise. With Tony's attention on the display, you felt safe in knowing that he hadn't noticed your reaction, though you hadn't noticed the upwards tug of the corner of his lip, telling you otherwise. The display of his suit in front of you disappeared and you abruptly turned to face Tony, chest brushing against his. You took a shaky step backwards, reaching for the abandoned glass of wine on the table. Taking the last sip from the glass, you looked up to see Tony holding the bottle up with a raised eyebrow. Nodding, you held your glass out to him, whispering thanks before averting your attention from him.
"I'm not surprised you and Peter are together." He spoke, voice booming in the now otherwise silent lab. At the confused expression you held, he elaborated "You seem shy. He's definitely shy when he's out of that suit." You shook your head in disagreement "I'm not - I'm not usually shy, Mr. Stark." Bingo, Tony thought. "Oh? How come you are now then?" Tony's brows furrowed in mock confusion, gaze violently trained on you. He kept track of the way you sipped your wine to gain yourself time to think, swallowing thickly before responding "Well, I just want to make a good impression on you." You blinked twice, adding "You know because Peter cares so much about you." Tony caught your pause, wetting his lips with his tongue before stepping closer to you. "It's nice that you care so much. People usually don't nowadays."
"Of course I care. I love Peter." You noticed the pointed tone in Tony's voice, nodding along with him in disguised oblivion. "You take good care of him?" Tony asked, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. "Uh-huh." You don't know when Tony became so close to you, but you were now stood chest to chest with him, looking up at him to maintain eye contact whilst you spoke. Tony took one last sip of wine before putting his empty glass on the table. Following his actions, you handed him your glass, which he took with a smile, placing it right next to his. Tony's hands trailed towards your hips, manoeuvring your body so that you were trapped between him and the table. He began closing the distance between you. With his lips barely graze yours, you raised both your hands to cup the older man's face, his beard tickling your palms. Inhaling deeply, you firmly stated "This is wrong."
"We both know that means nothing to you sweetheart." Tony gave you a moment to challenge his words, scoffing in amusement when you didn't, before slamming his lips against yours. Your body had an instant reaction: involuntarily moaning and pushing yourself up against Tony, hands on his jaw pulling him impossibly closer to you. "Fucking knew it." He mumbled when you briefly separated for air before deepening the kiss, pushing his tongue against your lips so you opened your mouth, tongues tangling in a messy kiss. One of your arms slid over his shoulders, tugging him closer to you while you pressed yourself onto your tippy toes, battling for dominance against the older man, who easily carried control over the situation.
Tony pushed you back against the table, hitting your hips back against the cold marble and grinding his pelvis into you. You lightly hit Tony's chest to push him away from you, panting loudly when his lips separated from yours. Tony was immediately cupping your face with one calloused hand while the other was clinging tightly to your waist, making space for his lips on your neck. You shuddered at the scratch of his beard on your soft skin, eyes fluttering closed. Failing to suppress a moan, you tangled a hand in Tony's hair. Shit. You weren't used to the feeling of such skilled lips on your neck, and much less a beard on your skin. Peter had never grown facial hair; you weren't sure if he could.
"Fuck." You whimpered, feeling Tony's teeth scrape against your neck. Pulling Tony's head back by the grip on his hair, you desperately chased his lips for another kiss, hands moving to land on his impressive torso. Tony's arms wrapped around you, lifting you up just enough to place you on the table behind you, breaking the kiss in the process of doing so. The man stares at you silently, hands wandering under your skirt to tug at the string of your panties. "Hips." He whispered, watching with great interest as you lean your weight onto your hands, pushing your hips up to let the man drag your underwear down your thighs. You observed as he pockets the panties, a smile on his face, before both his hands trail down to your left leg. He folded your leg up to rest on the border of the table, pulling a gasp out of you when the cold atmosphere hits your dripping core. Tony repeated the movement with your second leg, stepping back to look at the scene he's created.
Peter Parker, his intern, his protégé, his chosen son. Peter Parker, whose girlfriend was sitting on Tony's lab table, spread out like a meal ready for him to devour. Tony puffed his chest out proudly, wondering if you'd break up with Peter from the guilt of cheating on him, or if you'd keep this as a secret, clinging onto what's left of your relationship. Would you sleep with Tony again? Or would you refuse to see his face ever again? "Mr. Stark?" His head snapped towards your small, unsure voice, waiting to see if you'd made a terrible mistake. "Fuck sweetheart, I'm going to eat you whole." Tony approached you in two big strides, hands gripping the tops of your thighs as he leaned down into your pussy to press a bold kiss on your cunt before immediately starting his attack on you. He sucked and licked at your pussy, tongue switching between dipping into your entrance and putting pressure on your clit.
It seemed the latter got a stronger reaction out of you, with hips bucking uncontrollably, and a hand that returned to his hair as his lips wrapped around your clit, sucking harshly before letting his teeth graze your sensitive areas. Gasping, you pushed Tony's head deeper into your cunt, squeezing your thighs around his head with a whine of "Mr. Stark!" The formal use of his name has a groan ripping out of his chest, the sound sending vibrations up into your core. You moaned so loudly you were sure the whole building could hear you, and possibly even Peter, halfway across the city doing rounds.
Grinding your hips against Tony's face to add to your pleasure, you can feel the man bringing you near your orgasm. You threw your head back, eyes shutting tightly. The pressure on your clit was so strong, bringing you closer and closer to the edge until... it was gone. Your head snapped up at the sudden loss of friction, gasping in disappointment, watching as the man in front of you stood up to reach his full height. You dropped your legs over the edge of the table, shutting them tightly. Tony stretched his back, twisting his torso until you heard a crack, muttering "Can't do that too much one you pass the age of forty." You looked at him unabashedly, jaw dropped in confusion and shock. Watching your expression, he added "You didn't think I was going to let you come anywhere other than on my cock, did you?"
Gulping, you let Tony drag you off the table, your feet landing on the floor with a soft 'thud'. Gripping Tony's belt, you tugged him closer to you, unbuckling the thick leather until his jeans dropped down his hips. "Gimme a kiss." The man muttered, leaning forward as he removed his boxers. You pecked his lips softly before glancing down, curious to see what he had to offer. Your sharp inhale had Tony chuckling, mumbling "Don't worry baby." You cringed slightly at the name, hand instinctively reaching for your phone at the reminder of your boyfriend. The screen lit up from its place on the table and you spotted the message 'Won't be late, I love you xx' from Peter. "Still thinking about him?" Tony asked, hands massaging your hips. "I'm sorry. The 'baby' reminded me. Don't wanna get caught." Tony nodded in understanding, kissing you deeply. "No one can come in here without my permission, you don't have to worry about anything sweetheart."
His hands guided you to face the table, and you held your breath, feeling the tip of his dick wander between your thighs, and catching onto your clit. Slowly, he pushed his cock into your entrance, inch by inch, watching your body react. You placed both hands on the flat surface of the table, biting your lip as your chest slowly heaved with deep breaths. "Fuck" You mumbled, dropping your head down so you got a clear view of Tony's legs, pressing against the side of your own with his jeans gathered in a bunch around his ankles, your pink panties sticking out of a pocket. With a final, sharp thrust, Tony filled you up, making you wince slightly. The man didn't wait for a 'go-ahead', instead beginning to thrust his hips into yours at a toe-curling pace. Moaning quietly, you pushed your hips back against his, allowing him to hit you at a deeper angle. You yelped at the new angle, allowing Tony to pull your hips back onto his with every hump of his pelvis into you.
With one hand moving to grip your hair, Tony pushed your head forward, causing your entire body to bend over, chest hitting the cold table, making shivers run down your spine. He held you there for a few thrusts before moving his hand back to your hips, trusting you to stay against the tabletop. Little moans escaped you with every sharp smack of Tony's hips against your ass, eyes tearing up with pleasure. Fuck, you shouldn't be doing this, you thought. A sudden sense of dread and guilt filled you, the image of Peter popping up in your mind. Peter, and everything he did for you. He didn't deserve this. But the only thing your mind could focus on was the feeling of every single little ridge of your boyfriend's mentor's cock running along the inside of your pussy, driving you closer to your orgasm with every passing second.
Despite Tony pulling you back onto his cock, his thrusts were so powerful they drove your hips into the sharp edge of the table, sending a splitting pain into your body. The pain blended into pleasure and the pleasure to pain. One of Tony's hands left your hips, trailing down the front of your dress until he could cup your mound. He bunched the fabric of your dress up past your abdomen so that he could rub at your clit harshly without obstruction. "Oh!" Your back arched with the extra friction, and you pushed you ass out, crying out when Tony's second hand came to smack it, likely leaving a hand print in its wake.
"Shit! I'm, I'm gonna cum!" You cried, letting Tony pull your torso up to his chest, hand wrapped loosely around your neck while he encouraged you to cum, fingers working at overstimulating your clit. The knot in your stomach snapped, and you were suddenly having a mind numbing orgasm, causing you to fall limply against Tony's chest, legs giving out under you. The older man tightly wrapped an arm around your waist whilst he kept on thrusting, pulling out last minute and averting his hips so his cum shot out across the table, painting the workplace with white ropes of cum. You leaned your entire weight against the table when the man let go of you, panting heavily in an attempt to catch your breath.
Tony stood with furrowed eyebrows as the last drops of cum dribbled out of his cock, hand stroking his dick to pump them out. You sighed, walking around him and leaning over to stick your hand in the front pocket of his jeans, gathered around his ankles. The man gasped, eyes stuck on your ass, eyes following you and you stood up straight, pulling your underwear back on. Averting your gaze from the man, you let the shame wash onto you, tears pricking at your eyes. You frowned, turning away from Tony in a moment of instant repentance, sitting down the stool he was previously sat in. Tony immediately sensed the change in atmosphere, giving you your space whilst he put his pants back on and cleaned his desk space.
Cautiously, he approached you, putting a hand on your shoulder with a soft "Are you okay, sweetheart?" You nodded, wiping away at any fallen tears and reaching for the wine bottle across the table. Tony stood silently as you took a swing straight from the bottle, recollecting your emotions. "I'm fine." The room was filled with an awkward tranquility, a mutual agreement to sit quietly until Peter returned.
When the door knob finally jiggled and a robotic voice announced "Mr. Stark, Peter is attempting to enter the room. Do I let him in?" You jumped up, walking towards the door as Tony gave permission, wiping at your face to make sure any sign of your tears disappeared. The door opened and Peter walked in, sweat covering his face but a bright smile covering his features nonetheless. "How'd it go?" He asked breathlessly, looking straight into your face. You smiled at your boyfriend, nodding with a small "Good" before throwing your arms around his neck and planting a kiss on his lips. Peter's balance was thrown off, stumbling slightly as his arms caught themselves around your waist. His mouth opened in a gasp, allowing you to slip your tongue in, deepening the kiss with him. When you broke the kiss, his cheeks were impossibly rosier, and you mumbled "I missed you." against his slightly chapped lips.
Well, you're definitely never sleeping together again, Tony figured, popping open the bottle of wine once more.

(Mirabelle) (Thai belongs to @lavender-tea-dragon)
(You cut down the next sadness with ease, your sword slicing through it like butter. You step back, panting, that was the, seventh? Eighth? Glancing around, you can see Isa and Ramos back to back, Odile being helped up by Bonnie, Nille protecting them both, and-)
"MIRA!!"
(You turn, a sadness was rushing at you-)
(In a blink it was sliced clean in half. Siffrin, well, Null, landed a few feet in front of it, his new sword in hand, smiling. Actually, this might be the first time you've seen him smile.)
"T-thanks Null! Having fun?"
"No." (He said, still smiling.) "I never have fun."
"Heh, of course! Oh! lower your stance a little, leg to the-"
(You hear a protest from Odile.) "Now is not the time Mirabelle!"
(You and Null nod at each other, then dive again into the fight.)
(You had made it to Wolworth, and not a moment too soon! You were walking down the road when Null suddenly started running. "Stage time" was all he said. After a very winding sprint, you got here in time to see a wave of sadness storming the city gate.)
(There were SO MANY!!!)
(You throw a scissors sign, your sparkly discs of light slicing into another sadness. The one saving grace here was that these sadness were comically weak! B-but even then, you had to fight the off!! You might not get hurt but if even one makes it in-)
"How ya doing Mira!" (Isabeau yells) "I'm on about eight!"
"Six, here!" (Ramos adds, cracking a fist into another sadness.)
"Are y'really keeping track?!?" (Nille raised an eyebrow, keeping a sadness away from Bonnie and Odile.)
"Of course!" (Isa smiles.) "It's for the competitive spirit."
(You giggle, at least your friends could help make light of it all! You turn to face another sadness, but an arrow pierces it before you can attack. Someone at the gate was holding a bow and a satisfied grinn. You wave.)
(There was a small militia in Wolworth, just a group of everyday people who would come running to fight sadness, but they were overwhelmed when you showed up. Just behind that gate were half a dozen people nursing wounds. Change, they must all be so brave.)
(The wave was thinning out, you stab another, duck back, Null jumps in to strike. It was exhilarating and exhausting. By the time the last sadness fell, your dress was a mess and the tip of your sword felt dulled.)
(You're panting, look around, make sure it's all clear.) ". . Everyone alright!?!"
"Good here!"
"Alive!"
"Tired but great!"
"Safe!!!!!"
"I'm okay."
". . . Well done." (Null sheethed the sword and walked over to you.) "Saving the day yet again with no. . . Urgh-"
(Nulls knees buckled and he collapsed to all fours, breathing heavily. You rushed to his side, healing ready. You heard the others thunder over too.) "A-are you okay?!? Craft exhaustion??"
"Y-yeah-" (He was gasping for air, you got a small tonic out and handed it to him.)
"How many times did you loop just now?" (Odile asks, you could see the worry hidden behind her eyes.)
"Only, two times." (Null drinks down the tonic.) "First, got here late. Many wounded, had to, try again."
(Isa offers a hand, Null takes it, getting back up. Odile squints at him.) ". . . And the second?"
". . . Wanted to look cool."
"Null!!"
"You CRAB!!!
"Haha!!! That's a TERRIBLE idea!"
"Hey! Look alive." (Ramos gets your attention, they're pointing to the city. Right! Call Null Siffrin in front of other people. None of them want that secret getting out after all.)
(Now that the sadness were cleared, some of that city militia were coming to check the aftermath. One had an arm in a sling, another with a bandage on their head, you noticed one was still sitting at the gate, leg in a cast. You see that person with a bow running up to you all.)
"Change I'm glad you all showed up when you did." (The bowman said. She had a heavy jacket and messy darkless hair. She had a sword and shield at the ready, as well as her longbow and arrows over her shoulder. She had bonding earings, too, a snake and a darkless bird.) "Ha! the saviors of Vaugarde themselves coming to save the city, haha!"
"All in a days work!" (Isa said with a smile.)
"I-I'm just glad we made it on time!!" (You walk up to her, still tired, but smiling.) "I-is everyone okay?!?"
"Just some booboos, some real big booboos, but nothing major. What about him?" (She gestured past you to Null.)
"Oh I'm just tired." (Null started.) "Don't worry about-"
"Siffrin here is suffering from acute craft exhaustion." (Odile cuts him off.) "Is there a doctor or someone we could see for medicine?"
"Ha!" (She grinned.) "I know people like that. Sure, there's a medhouse in town, closer to the Wolworth House of Change."
"HEY! ARK!" (One of the other fighters came running over with a limp. He had partially dyed hair and darker skin, they were wearing a striped apron. His bonding earings matched hers.) "Who won!"
"Oh yeah!" (She, Ark? Turned to Isa.) "How many ya get?"
"Oh! I got ten! Ha."
"CRAB YEAH!!!" (The newcomer replied.) "No way anyone could beat that!!"
"Twelve." (Odile replies flatly.) "I guess I'm not anyone."
"COME ON!" (The newcomer pouted and crossed his arms.)
"Told you, Thai." (Ark looked smug, holding out a hand.) "Don't underestimate a book. Pay up-"
(Null coughs into a hand, attention at him.) ". . . Seventeen."
"WHAT?!?"
"NO CRABBIN' WAY!!"
"HAHA!!! YES!!! THAT'S MY BUDDY!!!"
(Thai gave Ark a smug look right back and put his money pouch back. You couldn't help but giggle.)
". . . Aren't you two bonded?" (Bonnie squints at them.) "You'd just have the same amounta money."
"It's about PRIDE! Kid!!" (Thai jeers back. Uhoh.)
"'M NOT A KID!!!" (Bonnie got all big and tall, ready to fight this stranger before Ark got between them both.)
"OH HOW RUDE OF ME I DIDN'T INRODUCE MYSELF! Ahem- My name's Ark (she/her), I help organize-" (Thai punches her in the shoulder) "Ow- Right. I'm in charge of this little group of guards-on-demand."
"Guards on demand?!?" (Thai crosses their arms.) "PUH-LEASE. We kicked their crabbin sadness butts!!!"
"How's the leg." (Ark grinned, Thai winced, still limping, point proven.)
"FINE Whatever. Oh, uh, I'm Thai (he/they), I'm just a tea guy who likes kicking sadness in the face!!" (Thai strikes a heroic pose.)
"Tea?" (Null perked up.)
"YEAH!!! The Tea-vern!! Toughest place in town with the BEST tea IN VAUGARDE!!!"
"Ooooh that's fighting words." (You say jokingly.) "I've had some really really good tea before!"
"We'll I'll make it BETTER!!"
"O-kaaaay we wont keep you guys any longer." (Ark interrupts, putting a hand on Thai.) "We got to clean up the place, thanks again, all of you."
"Thank you all so much!" (You wave goodbye as you head into town.)
"HEY IF Y'LIKE TEA COME BY TO THE TEA-VERN!!" (You hear Thai yell after you.)
(Well, that was a very warm welcome!)
(The city of Wolworth had nice cobblestone streets with a few carts and sturdy looking houses. From what you remember it was built by an architect who wanted to build a city to last, and it did!)
"Ah Wolworth. . ." (Ramos sighed and smiled as you walked through the main gate.) "Can't get rid of me that easily."
"Glad to be back? (Nille asks.)
"Yeah! Can't wait to see Eri again, I hope they're doing good without me!"
"Your guardian, right?" (Null asked. rubbing his head.) "Memory."
"No you're right! Eri! Last letter I sent them was around, well, the King stuff."
"It'll be a reunion to celebrate then!" (Isa cheers.)
"What about 'Frin?" (Bonnie pipes up, poking Null in the side.)
"Right! Well, we should get him to the medical house, but. . ." (You rub your chin, thinking.) ". . . I-Isa could you help me get Sif there? You all go on ahead an meet Mx. Eri!"
"Fine by me." (Null nods.)
"Aww, I wanted to meet 'em sooner but that's okay!" (Isa beams.) "Sifs health comes first!"
"That should be fine." (Ramos nods.) "We'll have the house all ready for you too. Heh."
"Perfect! I'm sure they'll be glad to see you, Ramos!" (You patted them on the back.) "I think we're going opposite directions, right?"
"Yep! You go that way to the House of Change, and the medhouse will be around there. But we're going this way!" (Ramos couldnt wait, and was already walking, jogging off.)
"WAIT UP YOU CRAB!!!" (Bonnie chased them.)
"LANGUAGE- Oh we'll see you guys later, K?" (Nille waves and runs after.)
"Gems. . ." (Odile sighed.) "I thought we were done with the running."
"Cardio is good for you M'dame!" (Isa says encouragingly. Odile just rolled her eyes and chased after the others.)
(The three of you started off in the other direction. It wasn't far, but, it was just far enough to give you a chance to talk about The Thing.)
". . . . S-so!" (You cough into a hand.) "Null, M-mind if I ask about. . . W-well. . . The Ramos thing?"
(Null looks at you and huffs.) "With Siffrin?"
"Yes. With, Siffrin."
"I've been, meaning to ask about that too actually." (Isa adds, he sounded sheepish.) "I promised not to pry but Ramos' really anxious about it."
"Right." (Null breathes in, and out.) "We have reached an agreement, as a Constellation."
"Oh?"
"Yeah?"
(Null nods.) "Mhm. Myself, Mal, and Loop have until we meet and get to know Eri to prove Ramos is a danger."
(You listen intently, Null continues.) "That deadline gives us time to get to know Ramos more, and meeting Eri will help confirm if Ramos is a good person. After that, Siffrin can do whatever they want."
"Right." (You nod. You saw the medhouse come into view.) "So, we'll find out soon, right?"
"Mhm" (Null sighs.) "And you're fine with it, Isabeau?"
"Huh? Oh yeah! I'm fine with it." (He was smiling ear to ear.) "Pretty excited actually!"
". . . Good."
(You walked up to the small one story building with a little tilted plus on the door, there was a little porch out the front. The medical house was just up the street from the House of Change.)
"Here we are! Ready, Sif?" (You turn and ask.)
(Null looked exhausted, but he smiled.) ". . . Ready as ever."
"That's the spirit." (Isa smiled at him.)
"Alright, let's go!" (You turn to the door and open it.)
(The inside was a little waiting room. A desk, a few chairs, and some random books. There was a couple of people here already, one had a doctors coat with some papers. The other had a vest, dark hair, bonding earings, and-)
"It's you!!!"
(Perci turns to you, the shock on his face was obvious. Your reach for your sword-)
"O-OH!! Yes I'm sorry for running out on our get together but I just had to check on my bonded!!" (Perci interupts anything you were about to say, he turned back to the doctor.) "A-and, you're sure they'll be alrght?"
"I'm positive, Mr. Monet. She just needs a few more days rest."
"Oh change, thank you, you've put my heart at rest. ." (He's smiling, normalcy intact.)
(He turns to exit, pausing a second. You see him very clearly and purposfuly put his hands into his vest pockets, one of them was bandaged. You take your hand away from your sword and step to the side. He waits a second, then walks past the three of you.)
"We can catch up outside." (You hear him whisper.)
(. . . What was HE doing here.)
"Friend of yours?" (The doctor asks.)
"Somewhat." (You reply simply- Oh crab.) "B-but enough of that. Could you help us? My friend here's suffering from craft exhaustion."
"A second case in so many days?" (The doctor chuckled.) "People need to remember to take crafts slow."
". . Haha, yeah, I know, right?" (Isa tries livening up the tone, helping Null over to the doctor. He glances at you, and nods. You nod back.)
(You pause for a second, the doctor lead them away. You do the Siffrin thing; breathe in. . . And out. . . You turn to the door, turn the handle, and walk out.)
(. . . . Perci was standing on the porch to the right. A soft 'tink tink tink' of metal eminated from a 3d puzzle he was focused on. It was the kind where you were supposed to untangle two things of metal spaghetti from each other.)
(. . . Well he could read your mind, right? didn't you want to talk?)
(. . . He's still focused on the puzzle. Well, fine then. You cough.)
(His head bolts up to look at you. Now that you weren't about to stab him through the chest, you could see the bags under his eyes. He sighs.) ". . Lady Mirabelle."
"Mister Monet." (You reply, taking a step forward.) "You have a lot to answer for you, you crab!"
(He raises an eyebrow, then looks back to the puzzle as he talks.) "Ahaa. . . I'm sure you think I do. . . How's Siffrin? Not sick I hope."
". . . They're fine." (You huff, and look out from the porch.) "It's craft exhaustion, they haven't fully recovered from your friendly scuffle."
"Ah, yes." (Perci pauses again.) ". . . Merlon was very cross with me about that when she woke up. She was not a fan of that loophole I used- ah, pun not intended."
"Hmph." (You don't look at him. 'Loophole', yes, exhausing Null half to death in that fight. Wait, when they woke up?) "Is something wrong with Merlon?"
"Ah. . Yes. She's also been recovering from craft exhaustion since that fight." (He sighs.) "That skill they used was one they never used before. It nearly killed her."
". . . ." (Are you lying to me, Perci?)
". . . ." (He still doesn't respond, the only sound that came from him was the tinking of metal.)
". . . And, so they're still recovering?"
"Yes, she is." (Tink tink tink.) "Transporting matter from one point to another takes an incredible amount of energy. Energy that she didn't have."
"That's. . . Hard to believe." (You were trying to keep calm. It was very, very hard to believe. If Sif can- wait stop thinking! He can still read your mind, right. . ? Or. . .) ". . Can't you read my mind, Perci?"
"Hm?" (He looks up again, then down to the puzzle.) "Oh! Well, yes? But you don't need to worry about that right now."
(He holds up the puzzle.) "A word to the wise if you learn Mind Craft, find something to focus your attention on. If I let my mind wander it will eventually wander to all the minds around me. Imagine hearing the inner monolog of every person around you at once. A puzzle like this, though? A wonderful way to focus."
"Oh!" (You perk up, mind clicking like said puzzle.) "So you really are being honest with me?"
"Of course" (He smiled, back to the puzzle.) "Why wouldn't I- oh dear don't tell me I left such a bad impression you think me a dishonest man."
"You are a dishonest man!"
"Lady Mirabelle, I promise I'm no such- aha!"
(With one last clink, he undoes the two bits of the puzzle, before happily starting to put it together again.)
(You huff.) "Alright, fine. If we're being honest with each other then, then, just know I don't trust you, Perci."
". . . I see." (Perci sighs, pausing a moment again before replying.) "I won't pretend like I can get that trust back. But, I would at least like you to know I'm really not an evil or dishonest man."
". . . I understand." (You sigh, letting yourself relax.) "I. . . It'll be hard to trust you. But, I'll believe that you're not evil." (Not like the King. . .)
". . . Thank you. Aha, actually." (He holds up the bandaged hand.) "Did you know about that little side effect of mind craft? Or did you get lucky in our fight."
"Side effect?" (You tilt your head.) ". . . If that's the wound from our fight, that should have been healed weeks ago."
"Good eye." (He nods, flexing his his hand and wincing.) "Advanced mind craft requires skin to skin contact; it's a connection of the nerves. If you use mind craft a lot like I do, the nerves on where you connect with mind craft become more sensitive over time. And for me, it's my hands."
". . . Oh." (You remember back to that day, how you struck his hand, and how he couldn't hold his sword, afterwards.) ". . S-sorry."
"Don't be, we were fighting after all." (He chuckles.) "But yes, my hands are very sensitive. My swords handles are specially made to be easy on the hands, and I really should get gloves too, but. . ."
"No you should, that sounds like a great idea! For everyone." (You giggle to yourself.)
(He laughs back, and clicks the two pieces of the puzzle back together. He held it out to you.) "Lady Mirabelle, I promise that, until my bonded has recoverd, I will not cause what you consider trouble."
(You look at his outstretched hand holding the puzzle, then to him. There's a quiet, uncomfortable pause.)
". . . Ah! Right." (He chukles, and places the puzzle on the banister, NOW you take it. Looking over, he's already pulled out a new one.) ". . So, deal?"
". . . Fine." (You huff.) "I don't like you, Mr. Monet, but I'll try and trust you here. It would be nice to have a few days without worrying about trouble."
"Ahaha, I imagine. I heard about the dramatics outside the gate. Oh! What brings you to Wolworth, by the way?"
"Oh!" (You look at him, smile on your face again.) "We're actually visiting Eri! Ramos' guardian! Once Siffrin's better we're meeting up, at. . ."
(Your voice trails off. Perci is looking at you, mouth open with a mix of shock and horror.)
(You tilt your head.) ". . . .Is, something wrong."
"You. . ." (You can see him struggling to keep his mask in place, but it slipped. It slipped just enough to see the sorrow behind it. He looks away.)
"You, you don't know. . ?"
