I hate that I feel the need for people to like my stuff i hate that people don't express that they like stuff more i hate that i feel like i have to be good at art or writing or whatever in order for people to be interested in my characters and ideas i hate that i can't just make stuff for the sake of making stuff

One interesting (but completely predictable) asymmetry I've noticed trying to find references to draw from, is that it's trivially easy to find images of women I find both attractive and fun to draw, but very difficult to find images of men that fit the same criteria. Modern pose reference sites mostly contain women who aren't my type - not curvy or soft enough, generally - but they're obviously models. Like, they're attractive, just not my specific taste. Art galleries and museums are overflowing with historical drawings of women I like, however. On the modern sites you'll get a handful of men, if you're lucky, but they're mostly posing to convey action not beauty. Attractiveness was just not a factor considered at any point in the process. On the historical side, if you love the lumpy muscle look of US comic book heroes, you're in luck. I like my men to look closer to the real human norm though, so no dice.

christmas sucks when you’re an extremely poor person who LOVES christmas and gift giving AND who loves other extremely poor people ESPECIALLY very poor little kids because like... I just wanna buy them things!! 😭

and like even when you CAN spend like $10-15 on someone having to get the Boring Practical Thing they desperately need and can’t otherwise get instead of any of the Fun Exciting Things you know they’d love and... also won’t otherwise get :(

and like there are people I’d love to give gifts to but just financially can’t and that sucks too

but yeah the worst is the little kids, i want them to have their needs met AND get special prizes and they often don’t really get enough of either one 😭

like I wish I was less disabled so I could at least make them things!!

I haven't watched RWBY in 2 years but it turns out they haven't released any more volumes in this whole time, so I'm all caught up. I don't know how to feel about this.
