After getting so many asks about Nighteye, I figured I’d share some HCs involving him haha
After the raid, Fortune and Nighteye exchange numbers so she can contact him if she ever has any worrisome visions about All Might. What she didn’t expect was for him to occasionally text her to see how All Might is doing, basically acting like a worried parent even though he’s younger than him lol
Fortune thinks it’s sweet how much Nighteye cares about All Might so she doesn’t mind giving him updates. She’ll also tell him about any funny events involving All Might that she happens to witness.
Also, regarding Nighteye’s birthday present for her in A Bright Celebration, Fortune takes a picture of it dressed as Dad Might and sends it to Nighteye after thanking him for the present. She also includes a caption of the words she told everyone else. Nighteye took a long time to respond cause he had to spend several minutes fighting the urge to laugh. He was literally shaking at his desk with his face buried in his arms.
So, I know that Midoriya ends up interning with Endeavor during the winter break. I don’t plan on changing that since I think that experience was good for him. The reason he wasn’t with Nighteye despite him being alive is because Nighteye was in the middle of an investigation that involved the LoV. Since UA wants their students to stay away from the LoV for now, Nighteye recommended that Midoriya intern somewhere else during that particular week which led to him accepting Todoroki’s offer.
Up until that point though, Nighteye has Mirio and Midoriya come do intern work. I figure UA wouldn’t temporarily stop the internships in TABF since things ended so much better with the raid as compared to canon. However, it becomes less frequent like they mainly go during the weekend or like in the afternoons.
During that period of time, Nighteye asks Fortune to come along every now and then since he wants to see her Quirk in action for himself. Since their Quirks are so similar, he figures he can offer some helpful advice. Even though he knows she’s technically a civilian, it’s obvious she’ll still get involved with fights as long as she’s staying at UA, so he might as well help ensure that she survives those fights lol
Naturally, Midoriya is completely fascinated with the idea of two people with foresight Quirks sparring. He wonders how that’ll work, and honestly, Fortune and Nighteye are wondering the same thing.
When they try to find out, they discover they can’t use their Quirks on each other at the same time, meaning if they try to fight each other with their Quirks the Quirks will cancel each other out. This makes sense to me since how else would a fight work when both fighters can predict the other’s movements especially since those movements are in response to those predictions?
I think their brains would have a fail safe for situations like that, so their Quirks don’t activate when other foresight Quirks are involved since it would overwhelm the brain if so many possible scenarios were being shown to it. It just seems like things could get bad quick, so no foresight Quirk battling for those two lol
As a result, whenever Nighteye spars with Fortune, it’s mostly hand-to-hand but sometimes he’ll get her to use his Quirk since he still needs to see it in action. He also has her fight Mirio and Midoriya, figuring it’ll be good training for everyone involved.
While they do get along better as compared to their first meeting, occasionally Fortune and Nighteye butt heads mostly when they disagree over something or when they’re both being stubborn. Mirio thinks it’s a sign of how well they get along that they can fight like that but Midoriya isn’t so sure. Midoriya always panics in the background when the two adults squabble while Mirio just laughs and enjoys the show.
So, you know how Nighteye knows pretty much everything about All Might? Well, there is actually something that Fortune knows that neither Nighteye nor Midoriya knows about, and it kinda drives them crazy since they hate not knowing everything about All Might lol Basically, it was an event that she saw in her vision that no one else but her saw since All Might was alone at the time. It was an embarrassing moment for All Might so he doesn’t want her talking about it even though Nighteye and Midoriya are obviously curious.
In regards to what the event was, I like to keep it vague so y’all can let your imaginations run wild. What I had in mind was either a costume malfunction happening while dealing with a villain or him accidentally running into something while on patrol XD
#TABF#bnha spoilers#figure I should use that#since I mentioned the winter internship arc#I was not expecting so many nighteye asks lol#of course I didn't mind#since it was fun answering the questions about him#it's always fun getting asks about tabf XD#TABF HCs

As I’ve mentioned in the past, I’m a big fan of the My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! novels, even though I’m currently way behind on reading them and haven’t gotten around to watching the anime yet lol
Anyway, as I was thinking about it, a fun question came to mind: What would a TABF AU of this series be like? Naturally, once that thought came to mind, I couldn’t resist coming up with some ideas XD
So, rather than the HameFura characters, this AU instead has BNHA characters along with, of course, Fortune.
Naturally, Fortune is the heroine, so she’s the one who dies and gets reborn in an otome game as the game’s villainess.
Unfortunately, poor Fortune’s past life was similar to her background in JWTN where she was raised by her cousins, Mumei and Tokumei, after her parents died. This Fortune had even worse luck since she ended up dying after one of Mumei’s beatings went too far while Tokumei wasn’t around to stop him.
In regards to Fortune possessing knowledge of the game, as you can expect, she wasn’t allowed to play games like that or have any kinds of toys period because Mumei thought they were a waste of money.
However, they did live next door to a family who had a daughter who loved otome games. Said daughter would often invite Fortune over to play because neither of them really had any friends. Tokumei was fine with it, so as long as it happened while Mumei wasn’t at home, she could go hang out with her neighbor.
So, thanks to her neighbor, Fortune is very familiar with the game, Fortune Lover, which she ends up reborn into. Just like in canon, Fortune regains her memories of her past life after hitting her head and once she realizes that she’s the villainess from the game she sets out to avoid suffering the same fate as the video game character.
In regards to the prince character, I like the idea of making Shouto the prince, even though that unfortunately means making Enji the king lol However, since this is my AU, I’ll say the Todoroki family isn’t as bad as it is in canon. Like Enji is still a jerk and is emotionally distant from his family but he’s not physically abusive. He doesn’t have the time to be that cause he’s too busy running a kingdom. So his kids still aren’t too fond of him even though they don’t outright hate him. On the bright side, Rei is in much better health in this AU, so Shouto doesn’t get his scar.
Anyway, Shouto is the same age as Fortune after she’s reborn, and as a result, before hitting her head, the villainess character wanted to win him over like Katarina wanted to win over the prince in the canon game. That resulted in the villainess hitting her head and she gained Fortune’s memories of her past life.
Because of that hit to her head, Fortune regains her past memories, which replace her memories from her current life. Thankfully, she’s able to use the excuse of getting amnesia to explain why she can’t remember what life was like in her new home before hitting her head.
Now, we’re really gonna head away from canon cause I got my own spin on things. For starters, as with all my BNHA fics, this is gonna be Gen cause I am all about some platonic/familial fluff.
That’s why there won’t be any worries of engagements here. Instead, when Shouto, who feels guilty about Fortune hurting herself, especially after he discovers that she hit her head hard enough to give herself amnesia, tries to promise to marry her to make up for what he did, Fortune reassures him that he doesn’t have to do that much to his and the staff members’ shock.
Since Shouto still seems unconvinced, Fortune asks him if he’ll become her friend instead since she doesn’t have any memories of having friends, and if he’s alright with it, she’d be happy if she could call him her friend.
This surprises him since no one has genuinely tried to become his friend before. This leads to Shouto gaining an interest in her since he wants to see what having a friend is like too, so he agrees to her suggestion.
So, as a result, Fortune & Shouto become best friends in this AU and hang out every chance they can, with Shouto mostly coming to see her since he likes being able to occasionally leave the palace and he doesn’t want his siblings to bother Fortune. His siblings often tease him for becoming so fond of Fortune, which he thinks is strange. After all, aren’t you supposed to be fond of your friends? haha
Even without her trying, Fortune successfully thwarts the death flags from his route lol
Another way I’m veering off from canon is that in this AU Fortune has an older brother before she later gains an adopted little brother.
The older brother, who is also a love interest in the game, is of course Shouta cause there’s no way I couldn’t include some Brozawa here XD
In the game, Shouta and his sister, who is two years younger than him, are on bad terms because his sister was a spoiled brat who always gave her brother nothing but trouble. They were always butting heads and just never got along.
In the AU, things are different since Fortune’s personality is the complete opposite of the villainess’ personality. As a result, she’s eventually able to win Shouta over just by being her usual sweet self.
The moment that leads to things changing between them is when Shouta catches Fortune off by herself pulling on her cheeks repeatedly. When he asks her what she’s doing, she explains that she overheard their parents worriedly commenting on the fact that she hasn’t smiled since losing her memories, so she was trying to make herself smile for them since she didn’t want to be a bad daughter.
This helps Shouta see that she really has changed since getting amnesia since the sister he knew before would never act like this. She’s really a completely different person like their parents and the maids have said.
Unable to leave her alone, Shouta tells her that she doesn’t have to force herself to smile. Instead, she should just let it happen naturally since a natural smile is better than a forced one.
From then on, Shouta takes notice of the fact that Fortune really never smiles and finds that he doesn’t like that especially after he sees how hard she works to make everyone else around her smile by going out of her way to do nice things for her parents and always offering to help the maids with their work.
She even tries to do things for him even though she always looks so shy whenever she approaches him, which he finds really strange since she had never acted like that around him in the past.
Eventually, Shouta starts going out of his way to do things for Fortune because he wants to make her smile. He starts spending more time with her and even gives her little gifts, just doing whatever he can think of that could make her smile.
Much to his surprise, when he finally sees her smile, it’s not because of any gift he gives her. Instead, it’s when he comes to comfort her one night after finding her crying in her bed because of a nightmare.
When he agrees to stay with her for the rest of the night and starts stroking her hair in hopes of comforting her, Fortune smiles as she thanks him.
And just like that Shouta’s heart is stolen. At that moment, he realizes he would be willing to do anything come hell or high water to protect that smile.
So from there on out, Shouta is the doting, protective big brother who’s always doing his best to look after Fortune and be a good role model for her, which makes their parents really happy since they had always hoped their children would start getting along.
This development with Shouta surprises Fortune because she remembers how he was in the game, but she’s also relieved since she was hoping she could have a nice, brother-sister relationship with him since she was afraid of him coming to hate her like in the game.
And with that, another death flag is averted haha
As I’m sure y’all can already probably guess, Hitoshi is the younger brother who later gets adopted into Fortune’s family. In hopes of avoiding his bad end route, Fortune does her best to become the best big sister possible for Hitoshi.
At first, Hitoshi tries to avoid her since getting involved with people always seems to get him into trouble. However, Fortune’s determined to look after him, so while she gives him his privacy, she continues to try to interact with him despite him often giving her the cold shoulder.
On one of the days he was avoiding Fortune, Hitoshi comes across a cat stuck in a tree and tries to get it down, but he ends up falling because a branch breaks.
Rather than hit the ground like he expects, Hitoshi lands on something warm and soft which he eventually finds out is Fortune herself who tried to catch him when she saw him fall.
Hitoshi quickly gets off of her and starts panicking because he thinks Shouta and her parents will punish him for causing her harm, but Fortune reassures him that she’s okay, just sore from the impact.
Much to his amazement, she’s more concerned about him and starts fussing over him, asking if he got hurt when he fell. Around that time, Shouta finds the two and gets them both looked at after finding out what happened. He also takes care of saving the cat after Fortune asks him to.
When Hitoshi later asks Fortune why she saved him, she tells him it’s because he’s her little brother. It’s her job to look after him and protect him. Plus, she doesn’t want to see anyone she loves get hurt.
Her words shock him since Hitoshi had never heard anyone say that they love him before. When tears appear in his eyes, Fortune worries that she said something wrong and apologizes as she hugs him which just makes him want to cry even more.
After that day, things start improving between Fortune and Hitoshi. Now that he sees that she won’t be like the people who hurt him in the past and that her love for him is genuine, he soon comes to love her and see her like a big sister.
And another death flag bites the dust lol
In regards to Hitoshi and Shouta’s relationship, they become close too. Shouta was nice to Hitoshi from the start. He just thought Hitoshi needed space and time to adjust to his new environment which is why he didn’t approach Hitoshi as much as Fortune did.
Since this post has already gotten super long, I’m gonna stop here since I’m not sure who else I should include in Fortune’s harem of family & friendship XD
#TABF AU#so while katarina is dense about her harem of love interests#fortune is dense in that she doesn't realize#just how many people are overprotective of her#and are willing to do serious damage to anyone who dares hurt her XD#I just had to make shouta and hitoshi her siblings#cause I love that dynamic so much#they're just so cute#and of course I love best friend shouto#he is such a good friend#such a sweet boy#he would abuse his powers as a prince in a heartbeat for fortune#all she would need to do is just ask haha

Regarding Fortune’s age, I had 19 in mind when I started TABF, meaning she’s an adult but not old enough to drink alcohol in Japan. That’s why she didn’t have any when she went out with teachers since Aizawa couldn’t tell if she was 20 or not.
I just recently started thinking about what Fortune would be like when drunk. She’s not particularly interested in alcohol since Mumei was often drunk when he forced her to watch horror movies so she has a lot of bad memories involving alcohol.
However, I can see her trying it at least once out of curiosity. That’s how the teachers discover that Fortune is a complete lightweight. She gets drunk really fast, like it doesn’t even take a full glass of beer lol
Fortune is one of those really affectionate/cuddly/sleepy drunks. She just quietly snuggles up to whoever is nearby and hugs them.
Aizawa is her usual target if she ever happens to have any alcohol whether it be purposefully or accidentally. She loves to hug him and affectionately nuzzle him as she tells him how much she loves him.
Naturally, Aizawa finds it embarrassing, but he never pushes her away. The other teachers think it’s hilarious and will always get glared at if they try to tease him.
Aizawa is even more protective of Fortune in this state since she can’t really defend herself. He keeps her close with an arm around her shoulders.
Mic and Midnight will try to take her for fun, asking if she loves them too. Of course, Fortune does and wants to convey this, but Aizawa won’t let go over her. Drunk Aizawa doesn’t like to share lol
The nights when Fortune ends up having alcohol, Aizawa always carries her back to his apartment via piggyback rather than bother taking her to the dorm. Partly because it’s easier for him but mostly because behind closed doors he’s a cuddly drunk too XD
#TABF#I just thought the idea#of fortune being an affectionate cuddly drunk#was too good to pass up#she tells everyone how great they are#and how much she loves them#aizawa prefers to keep her all to himself though lol#although let's be real#aizawa doesn't like to share#whether he's sober or drunk haha

There are soooooo many amazing scenes littered throughout this fic, honestly this is so hard. Since I don’t want to bother you with three paragraphs, I’ll have to shorten this down, lol. But each time scenes like Fortune reuniting with Class 1.A, Aizawa, Fatgum, etc, those were always amazing.
bnhakaminari replied to your post:This is totally random, but has there ever been a...
The same can be said for scenes with certain background characters, like the one with Ojiro and Monoma in the joint-training session. I loved that! Maybe it was because we got to see and read about characters not normally explored a lot, but i really loved that scene. Another one similar to that scene, was the one with Yaoyorozu and Fortune. Where Yaoyorozu made Fortune a tracking device, and Fortune basically acknowledged all of the amazing things about her.

One final scene, I think, would be when Fortune was ‘kidnapped’ and ‘interrogated’ by Class 1.B, and all of the scenes following that. Those are characters we don’t really ever get to see, so seeing them have their time to shine, as well as see their important individual character traits explored, gosh that blew my heart away!

I’m rambling so much, I’m sorry. You should have seen the first draft, I was just mumbling on about all of these amazing scenes in TABF, it was really long, lol. I’m sorry again. 😅
First off, please don’t apologize. I freakin love responses like this. Whether it’s in a comment, reply, or an ask, I say the more rambling the better haha
I love all the scenes you listed since they’re all ones I had a great time writing. I’m sure y’all have probably figured this out by now, but I absolutely love writing reunion scenes. Those are my jam XD
I’m delighted that you enjoyed all the scenes involving characters we don’t normally see a lot of. Since Momo is one of my favorites, I had to write something for her. Plus, I wanted to give her some much needed encouragement before her final exam.
In the case of Ojiro and Monoma, I can’t even remember how I came up with that idea lol Like suddenly after he got introduced, I came up with the idea of Monoma developing a crush on Fortune cause I thought it would be hilarious. Plus, I wanted her to talk with him about his crazy rivalry with 1-A. I picked Ojiro to be in the session cause he has a Quirk that Monoma wouldn’t be able to copy and cause I like him. I’m glad I went that route since I enjoyed writing the training session.
I was kinda nervous at first about introducing 1-B into the story since we really didn’t know a lot about them, but I still wanted to give it a try since I didn’t want to exclude them from the story. While I wasn’t the most confident in all my portrayals of them, I had fun writing their characters, and that introduction chapter for them was a total blast to write haha
#tabf asks#I seriously love getting responses like this#y'all are always welcome to ramble to me#big paragraphs do not scare me#they excite me XD#makes me wonder what the first draft looked like haha

Haze, I am very glad that you enjoyed the ko-fi I sent! I am happy that it brightened your day. Truly, I find that your dedication not only to your stories and characters, but also to your fans is something to be admired. Your stories are always so creative and I can never go a scene with Todoroki in it where I don't laugh. XD Your interpretation of the characters is truly of one a kind and it really makes everyone feel like a loving family. You've done well! -Luna Anon
*clutches chest* My heart can’t handle all these feels your kind words are giving me, Luna Anon! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! You are so freakin sweet! Thank you so much!!
Words can’t describe how happy your ask has made me. Saying that the characters feel like a loving family is like the best compliment you can give me since that’s the kind of impression I want to convey in my writing. I really enjoy writing those kinds of bonds, so hearing that you enjoy reading them makes me really happy ^-^
Tbh I was nervous at first when I started writing Todoroki since I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to do him justice. I thought I wouldn’t be able to convey his character properly, so it was a huge relief when my interpretation of him was received so positively. Now, I don’t worry about writing him. I just have fun with it cause he’s such a great character. I’m really glad his scenes are able to invoke that sort of reaction since that’s always my goal. Whenever I write Todoroki, I wanna do so in a way that’ll always put a smile on my readers’ faces
I’m so grateful to have such wonderful readers like you. It’s because of y’all’s support that I’ve made it this far. When I first started writing TABF, I was just planning on writing that one story, but after getting so much positive feedback on it, it made me want to write more for this world I created. I’m glad I did since I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. I’m always looking forward to seeing what kind of inspiration will hit me next.
Thank y’all so much for everything! I hope y’all will all continue to support me and TABF! (≧◡≦) ♡
#tabf asks#seriously you are the sweetest#you really know how to melt a girl's heart#asks like this make me weak haha#I remember being so nervous about writing todoroki#not as much as bakugou#but still pretty nervous since I had never written someone like him before#but somehow I managed to make it work out lol#the longer I wrote him the more fun I had#writing todoroki scenes is always a blast#so I'm really happy that you enjoy them <3#I'm so happy you like my interpretations of the characters#since proper characterization is important to me#I know they're not perfect#but I'm hoping I got at least a decent grasp for the majority of them haha

It wasn’t until today that I realized I missed the opportunity to include Monoma in the zodiac. While I’m satisfied with who I chose for the zodiac, I admit it would’ve been fun to include him especially since writing his interactions with Fortune in TABF was so much fun haha
That’s why I thought I could include him as a member of the Sohma family but not of the zodiac. He’s a cousin who knows of the zodiac since one of his grandparents was a zodiac member in a previous generation.
Neito hates all the attention the zodiac get since he doesn’t think it’s fair for them to be treated so differently just because they can turn into animals. So, basically, in this AU, he has a “rivalry” with the zodiac.
The way he tries to compete is by breaking the curse. If he does that, then they won’t be special anymore, and he’ll be on top since he broke the curse that no one else could for generations. Can’t get much cooler than that.
If anyone were to ask him why he wanted to break the curse, that’s the response he’d give them, but there’s actually another reason. Although he doesn’t want to admit it, Neito does care about the zodiac since they are his family. He wants to save them from the curse that is weighing so heavily on them.
So, basically, he takes turns between being jealous of them and concerned for them lol Like he cares but he also gets annoyed by them, mostly Katsuki cause of his arrogance. Those two often butt heads.
Neito meets Fortune the day he decides to visit Shouta’s house to investigate the mysterious girl who has been befriending his cousins. He doesn’t really think much of her at first, but when she manages to see through his hidden motives for breaking the curse, he starts paying her more attention.
Like in TABF, it doesn’t take him long to develop a crush on her since he likes how she doesn’t overlook him since it’s normal for people to pay more attention to his cousins. She doesn’t do that since she doesn’t give the zodiac special treatment. To her, they’re normal people like her and Neito.
As a result, Neito ends up paying a lot more visits to the house much to Hitoshi’s annoyance and Shouta’s exasperation. Shouto just takes it all in stride since he’s confident that he’ll always be Fortune’s favorite XD
#TABF: FB Edition#writing monoma crushing on fortune is so fun#I couldn't resist including that in this AU too#I thought it'd be interesting to include a Sohma who's not in the zodiac#overall monoma gets along pretty well with the zodiac#he mainly just dislikes bakugou lol#shinsou kinda annoys him too with his distant behavior#since monoma thinks he's acting all high and mighty#when shinsou is doing that because he considers himself to be bad luck#so he doesn't want to risk spreading that bad luck to anyone else#that's kinda how he feels about todoroki too#even though todoroki is just awkward with people lol
