In front of him was a black Ford Mustang--his favorite muscle car.

"Happy birthday!"

"Are you fuckin' serious??!"

Ian dangled the key in his hand. "We needed a car anyway. Might as well ride in style."

"If I could fuck a car it would be this one." "I'm aware." "How did you even…honestly--I don't care. Whoever you killed…it was worth it!" He hugged Ian tight before snatching the key. "Let's ride baby!"

“You done figuring out the sound files yet?” Duke asked while tapping on the hood of the Batmobile.

He was excited to hear a campy “Yes, Sir!” Come out of the open windows of the car.

“Neat, first off, any files that have your name in it?” He was a little disappointed, but still snorted to hear the tragic ‘Noooooo’ from Darth Vader.

“I think Red Robin has some pronoun type files in there, what are yours?” A mix of sir’s, dude's, and bro's were played until Duke had to stop the guy.

“Ok, what about age?” He wasn't expecting to get a straight answer, but when the car played a Scooby-Doo cut of ‘those meddling kids’, he was confused.

“So a kid?” Duke questioned. He got a weird mix of 'Ehhh', 'Kinda', and 'close enough' type files.

“We can worry about that later, any ideas how you got stuck?” A short ‘Nope’ with a pop on the P played.

Talking to the car guy was strange. Getting answers could be easy or turn into 20 questions trying to clarify an answer. So far, Duke knew the person:

is male or male presenting

a meta

has no clue how he possessed the car

has a good understanding of current memes

was possibly in their teens (probably a bit younger than Duke, but older than Daimian)

was a street kid? (When asked where he lived the car played “Why should I worry” from an older Disney movie about homeless animals in New York or something. He had to look it up.)

has a good sense of humor

and is taking their situation in stride.

Duke really had to wonder what their life has been where this is not a vast problem to fix…. And whether or not he should argue his ‘notification tone’ being a choir singing.

He really does not get paid enough for this, but it is better than the other stuff Gotham throws at the Bats.

“Mind if I get you up on the lift and check the engine? Might give us some clues.” After an affirmative from the car guy, Duke got to work.

I just finished watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. I thought it was fantastic, though I have one☝️ complaint...

It is CRIMINAL that the Gaang never addressed/discovered Appas fear of fire. 😤

Poor Appa was sold to a fire nation circus where he was abused and whipped with fire and forced to preform which made him scared of fire. Azula even ADDRESSES THIS FEAR. "Ah, afraid of fire now, are we?" SO ITS A LEGIT FORMED FEAR. BUT ITS NEVER BROUGHT UP OR DISCOVERED BY THE GAANG?? EVEN THOUGH SUKI WAS THERE AND WOULD KNOW ABOUT HIS FEAR TOO???

How a sky bison gonna fight the fire nation IF HE'S SCARED OF FIRE? They TOTALLY should have addressed that. it could have been a bonding moment between Toph, Aang and Appa and everything!😭😭😭😭

HOW SWEET WOULD IT HAVE BEEN IF THE GAANG FIGURED OUT WHAT HE'S BEEN THROUGH BY THE BURN SCARS ON HIS PAWS, THE HOLES IN HIS BACK/SHOULDERS/HEAD/FACE, THE WEIGHT HE LOST AND THE STRAINED MUSCLES AND HAD A WHOLE EPISODE PAMPERING APPA AND TENDING TO HIS INGURIES?? 😭😭

Especially since at this point he'd been missing for like 4 weeks by this point?? Making an episode where everyone has a special reunion moment with Appa and showing the Gaang helping Appa physically and mentally recover from EVERYTHING he's been through would have been the best. 😔😔😔 Would have been my favorite episode by FAR.

I would LOVE to draw a comic about this myself but that would be a TON of work and research to make sure I write everyone's characters correctly and have the timeline of events all line upppp... and I could write it but the truth is I'm a lousy fic writer and I don't think it would come out the way I wanttttt 😩😩😩

Hopefully I can find a fix-it fic for this particular issue or the post war comics will surprise me with its Appa content 👀👀👀

Oscar is p4 @ 222 points (he only scored 97 in the full 2023 season)

Car is seemingly (I refuse to jinx) competitive at every track

Lando is tied with Max for most podium finishes (10)

If you had tried to tell me this is where we’d be in Bahrain this year i’d have never believed you. I criticize Mclaren a lot (and rightfully so) but the progress that has been made this year, let alone from Bahrain 2023 is astounding. While I fully believe that with better strategy and decision making Mclaren could’ve had p1 in the WCC much earlier and Lando (or Oscar tbh) wouldn’t just be having a shot at winning the WDC I have to give some credit where it is due. I cannot wait for 2025 🧡

a backhanded but heartfelt thank-you to SPN, because last night over dinner with my mom and two dear fandom friends i confessed to pausing in the middle of a road trip to post a dumb pot-stirring poll about whether Car Boy even knows how to drive stick, and we discovered that "single set-up-to-fail attempt at a 'how to operate a stick shift' lesson from your dad who is shitty about it the entire way through" is not an uncommon Daughter Experience, and, well

the upshot is that the three of us, who are in our 30s, and my mom, who is pushing 70 and a goddamn saint and was raised by a dad who considered that shit an essential life skill instead of having some weird 'girls are hopeless with cars' complex, realized that's a fucking stupid state of affairs! that does not have to continue!!! and we are renting a manual mini cooper for the extended weekend so she can teach all of us properly

Hashtag vs. Shockwave from Earthspark season 2, episode 3, "Control Alt Delete"

Wow, what an incredible fight scene! The physicality of it!!! Even when Shockwave has fought before I don't feel like it's ever been this dynamic, or that he's had a true fighting style until now. Look at how his turret spins around after Hashtag tries to throw him off, for example! And you can see how his design is inspired by other versions of the character, like TFA Longarm's arm or the Cyberverse alt-mode and so on.

Hashtag's new alt-mode and character model look so glossy and detailed! Her being thrown, transforming, and then driving into a flying punch is also so cool. I also love that she gets to talk to someone inside her head, it's so cute and with how distracted she was getting throughout this episode you can feel the neurodiversity. I like how technically Hashtag and Shockwave both had successes here, too.
