the way people call out utena for both her initial refusal to keep participating in the duels in episode 2 because it will hurt anthy, AND her continuing to participate in the duels anyway to help anthy... hmmm, it's almost like there's no simple and easy answer to what the correct thing to do here is! it's almost like this system that has existed long before utena joined it will continue with or without her personal involvement! it's almost like she isn't actually to blame for it and yet people will say she is anyway no matter what she chooses to do! it's almost like people put all the pressure to dismantle systems of oppresion on individual people (who also suffer from it) rather than questioning the actual root of the issues, leading to us never actually fucking getting anywhere with solving them

You actually loved where you worked–honestly you did. Most of the people were great (a few questionable characters, sure, but that's life), and having your cousin Mateo around the place felt less like a hospital and more like a second home. He thrived in the chaos of the ER, always buzzing with adrenaline, while you preferred the quieter corners as a clinical psychologist–less blood, more brain. It was a good balance. Still, you always told yourself one thing: as much as you cared about the hospital, you never wanted to come back unless it was for work. No visits, no check-ins, no surprise emergencies. Just you, your badge, and maybe—just maybe—a good cup of hospital tea if you got lucky.
What began as a carefree evening—a glittering blur of laughter, cocktails, and the kind of reckless joy only found on warm nights and crowded sidewalks–quickly devolved into an impromptu trip to the emergency room. You were both kind of inebriated, the haze of alcohol still clinging to your senses, dressed in clothes that belonged to a different kind of night–ones meant for dim lighting and loud music, not the cold scrutiny of a hospital corridor.
It wasn’t fate that intervened–just a cracked piece of sidewalk and the kind of bad luck that shows up without warning. One wrong step, a shift in balance, and your best friend hit the ground hard, clutching her ankle with the quiet disbelief of someone realizing the night had taken a turn you wouldn’t laugh about just yet. You tried to break her fall, but all you managed to do was cushion it—her weight crashing into you, the impact leaving scratches along your arms and hands as she landed against you with a sharp grunt.
“Fuck—we have to call an ambulance,” you said, panic and tequila swirling your voice.
She squinted up at you, mascara slightly smudged, pain masking her indignation.
“Please just call an Uber. I refuse to make a scene.”
As much as you wanted to spare her the embarrassment–and the inevitable bill–you knew an Uber wasn’t the answer, not unless you were willing to sit there, waiting for what felt like an eternity. So, with little choice, the ambulance became the only option left. Everything after that blurred into a haze—the blaring sirens of the ambulance echoing in your ears, drowning out everything else. Between the worry for your best friend and the fog of alcohol still lingering in your system, the ride to the hospital became a memory you could hardly grasp.
That ambulance ride felt like it would never end—comforting your friend, trying to keep it together while drunk, doing your best not to look suspicious. You even had to pretend the scratches on your arm didn’t hurt, like they weren't stinging the whole time. It might've been the hardest thing you’ve ever pulled off. By the time you got to the hospital, all you could do was hope no one made a big deal out of it.
As if on cue, the ambulance doors swung open, revealing Dr. Elis and Dr. Shen, standing in the cool, sterile light, their faces a study in practiced calm. With the precision of seasoned professionals, they held their ground, eyes scanning for any sign of chaos, ready to face whatever urgent situation was about to unfold. They almost didn't notice you because of how focused they were.
They faltered for just a moment, their minds clearly racing through the worst-case scenarios, until the paramedics spoke up—’suspected broken leg’ for your friend. That was enough to ground them, the weight of their tension lifting as they recalibrated, ready to handle whatever came next.
Ellis smirks, glancing over at you. ‘You know, you don’t have to break any legs to come see us,’ she remarks, while Shen immediately goes and helps your friend. He comments, “Hmm no bone sticking out, bummer.”
You giggle as she helps you down the ambulance, her knowing glance telling you she could tell you were drunk just by the way you stumbled down. You almost forgot about the cuts on your arm until she noticed, her fingers brushing over them gently, a soft reminder of what you’d almost ignored. She gave you a look that said, clear as day, ‘You really thought I wouldn’t notice’—half amused, half concerned, and totally calling you out without a single word.
A while later, you’re with your best friend—she’s a little out of it from the pain medication and you’re half-laying on the edge of her hospital bed, just grateful it was only a broken leg and nothing more serious. You’d sobered up by now—sleepy, a bit delirious, but still in good spirits. Mostly hungry, and for some reason, all you could think about were those raspberry cookies from the vending machine.
On the other side of the emergency room, word about you and your friend has quietly made the rounds—shared in hushed tones behind desks and passed along with knowing glances, as if the entire first floor was on something unspoken.
Although they’d never admit it, most people in the ED had a quiet appreciation for the drama that occasionally unfolded around them. Silly moments were something to look forward to—brief flashes of levity in a place that demanded strength, focus, and more patience than most people realized. The ED wasn’t for the faint of heart. And while the day shift kept things running like a well-practiced routine, the night shift operated in its own rhythm—slower, weirder, a little rough around the edges, but deeply loyal in their own way.
So you can imagine the quiet buzz of excitement when they saw you walk in—guided to a room by Dr. Ellis, dressed not in your usual work attire but in a fitted dress and delicate kitten heels that were clearly more designer than practical, looking every bit put-together even if you didn’t quite feel it. Your shifts usually landed in the middle of the day, often stretching a little later than scheduled—which meant you occasionally caught glimpses of both the day and night shift dynamics.
It was rare to be called down to the ED just for your help—usually they sent patients up to you.
The main reason you ever made your way down there was to see your cousin, even if it was just for a second.
You were well-liked around the hospital, having built a solid reputation for yourself. As a young psychologist—something of a prodigy in school—you stood out, not just for your skill but for your warmth. You treated your patients, colleagues, and everyone you meet with genuine kindness. Your smile brought a little light to the hospital's sterile halls, and your laugh had a way of softening even the toughest days. You loved chatting with coworkers, always curious about the little things that went on behind the scenes.
So of course it wasn’t much of a surprise that you crossed paths with Jack Abbot—the night shift attending—during your occasional visits to the ED. You found him endearing—his dry humor didn’t always land with others, but it never failed to make you smile. You’d given him that familiar look of quiet amusement, the kind that made it clear you were paying attention—and that you appreciated the way his mind worked.
You weren't naive—you knew you turned heads. You’re gorgeous and people naturally looked when you walked into a room. Over time, you’d gotten pretty good at spotting the signs—who had a crush, who was trying not to stare, who was just a little too obvious. You tried to brush off the lingering looks Abbot gave you—the way he subtly puffs out his chest or always angled his body toward you in conversation. It was obvious, in that quiet kind of way, that his attention was reserved just for you. But you ignored it, pretending not to notice, even when it was a little too obvious to miss. Bets were already placed—how long it would take before he finally worked up the courage to make a move—even if you were still “blissfully” unaware of just how much he was quietly pining.
He had been working on a patient who came in coughing with blood when you and your friend arrived in the ambulance. He didn’t have any clue that you were there. His attention was fully on the patient, determined to figure out what was causing the bleeding. Jack was always like that, laser-focused when it came to his work. Once he wrapped up, he’d head over to the nurses’ station to update the records.
As Abbot nears the station, a familiar laugh floats from one of the curtained rooms. He pauses, just for a second. It was probably nothing—his mind playing tricks—but the sound lingered in his mind a little longer than it should have.
“Seeing her drunk like that is making me feel jealous, like I should be out drinking with my friends,” Ellis says to Shen, who nods in agreement with a chuckle.
“I can’t drink like that anymore—I’d end up like her friend, but with both legs broken,” Shen says with a smirk.
“I don’t know what or who you're talking about,” Jack says, deadpan, as he begins typing up his reports. “But just know I could outdrink both of you any day.” Then, without looking up, he adds, “Now go check on the ambulance bay and save the gossip for the break room.”
Ellis and Shen share a quick look, their eyes filled with mischief , before they both grin and go on their merry way.
“I would love some chips and possibly a Pepsi,” your best friend says, batting her eyes at you. Despite the haziness from the pain meds, she definitely needed something greasy. You nod, slowly getting up from the hospital bed, stretching and lazily slipping your heels back on.
You clumsily move past the curtain, shuddering as the cold air hits you unexpectedly. The chill cuts through the warmth that's still lingering from the hospital bed, and you instinctively wrap your arms around yourself—only to hiss softly when your fingers graze the forgotten cuts along your arm. The sound of your heels tapping unevenly against the floor seems to echo in the halls as you try to find your footing, moving as quickly as you can toward the vending machines.
The sharp click-clack draws Jack’s attention as it echoes through the halls, cutting through the quiet like an unexpected disruption. When he finally looked up to see where the sound was coming from, he stilled. There you were. The familiar laugh he’d caught earlier suddenly made sense, and a quiet kind of relief settled in his chest—like his mind had not betrayed him after all. You were real, and even in this strange, fluorescent-lit setting, you looked like something pulled out of a dream.
He couldn't help the way his chest tightened a little when he saw you—dressed in a tight dress that made it clear you hadn't planned on ending your night here. You looked stunning, like always, but his eyes were quickly drawn to the small cuts on your arm. It didn't sit right with him, seeing something so carefully put together paired with signs of pain. You shouldn't have had to walk into a hospital looking like that—not like this.
Jack stands up before he even realizes he’s doing it—some mix of instinct and worry pushing him to his feet. He doesn’t call out, does not move toward you, just stays there quietly, hoping you'll look up and see him as you get closer.
You weren’t paying much attention—too focused on the vending machine and the snacks you and your friend had been daydreaming about. So when your heel caught on the floor, sending you stumbling forward, it felt almost inevitable. You grabbed the nearest thing—thankfully, the nurses’ station—catching yourself just in time.
Instead of embarrassment, a laugh escaped you. It was just that kind of night.
Jack had already moved, hands out just enough to steady you if you fell.
He didn’t find it amusing like you did.
With a glance at your shoes, he muttered dryly, “Are those hospital-approved footwear?”
Your eyes met his, a flicker of surprise crossing your face before you recovered with ease. “They just approved these, " you said with a light chuckle, lifting your foot slightly to show him. “You didn’t hear?”
His eyes traced for a second longer than necessary before the corner of his mouth twitched—just barely. “Must’ve missed the memo.”
All of a sudden, you feel a little exposed—standing in front of him in that dress, the chill setting in, and suddenly wishing you’d brought a jacket instead of relying on alcohol for warmth.
Jack notices, saying nothing, but stepping away for a moment. He returns with a blanket, handing it to you without a word.
You take it, wrapping it around yourself as you look up at him. “Thank you,” you say softly. And you mean it.
You start explaining what happened—how the night spiraled, how you and your friend ended up in the ambulance. You know he was curious, even if he hadn't asked. He listens closely, his eyes steady on yours, not judging, just quietly taking it all in. He seems to genuinely feel for your friend—broken bones were no easy feat, and he knew recovery would be painful and slow.
You make sure to mention that you’re fine—because you know Jack, and he always worries when it comes to his colleagues. You brush it off with a small shrug and a quick, “The cuts only hurt when I touch them,” trying to keep it light.
Jack immediately gives you a look, slipping into full doctor mode.
“Then maybe don’t touch them.” His tone is gentle, but just serious enough to earn a teasing eye-roll from you.
“Doctors, you’re all the same,” you mutter playfully, earning the smallest smirk.
“It’s in my blood.” he replies with a shrug, his tone light but somehow sincere.
You smile quietly, adjusting the blanket around your shoulders. “It’s still hard getting used to that,” you say, your voice light, not really expecting a response but content with the easy moment.
“Anyways, I promised some snacks for my friend, so, I’ll see you around.” You start to turn, already heading towards the front.
“I’ll go with you,” Jack says, stepping forward without hesitation.
You stop and turn, surprised. “Oh, you don’t have to. Aren’t you working? Don’t you have patients?” you ask, genuinely curious.
He gives a small shrug, unfazed. “I’m taking a break. Besides, I could use a snack too.”
You feel your face go warm at his comment, a small smile tugging at the corner of your lips. “Well, if you insist,” you reply.
You both walk side by side in a comfortable silence, the soft sounds of the hospital around you filling the space. You watch as the place moves in its own rhythm—nurses rushing to their station, doctors calling out to each other, and the steady hum of activity filling the air. There’s something oddly calming about it, despite the busy pace, and for a moment, everything feels just a little more relaxed.
You feel him looking at you, the weight of his gaze lingering, but you don’t bother to meet his eyes. You don’t need to. The warmth in your cheeks says it all, and you’re not sure if you want to acknowledge it just yet. Instead, you focus on the path ahead, the familiar hospital light overhead, letting the quiet comfort of the walk keep things easy.
You get ready to reach for your phone, pulling it out to get your payment ready for the snacks, when suddenly, a hand goes past you, tapping his card on the device. “Would you look at that, I have tap too,” he says with a grin.
You glance up at him, a bit surprised, the playful glint in his eyes catches you off guard, and the tension between you both suddenly feels palpable, even in the otherwise busy hospital. “You didn’t have to do that,” you manage, your voice a little softer than you intended, trying to hide the slight warmth spreading in your chest.
“With the night you had, it's the least I can do. Consider it a donation from the hospital,” he says, a small smile tugging at his lips. There’s a flicker of something in his voice—warmth, intention—like the words meant more than they let on.
You glance at him, just briefly. “Well…in that case,” you say slowly, your voice playful but soft, “I’ll take a Pepsi too. It’s for my friend, obviously.”
He doesn’t say anything at first, just watches you crouch down to grab the snacks, his gaze lingering a second too long before he finally moves. Then he leans down beside you, slow and steady, careful to keep just enough distance—like he wasn’t hovering, but you could feel him there all the same. His presence was grounding, warm in a way that contrasted the energy of the hospital.
“Obviously,” he murmurs, his voice low enough to make your pulse tick up just slightly.
The moment passes like nothing happened—simple, easy—but the tension hums in the space between you, quiet and charged, like a spark left just barely untouched.
You’re back with your friend, sharing snacks and sipping on Pepsi like nothing happened—even though everything clearly did. You’re oddly quiet, staring off like you just came back from war…or a very specific kind of dream.
Your friend eyes you, chewing on a chip with the dramatic flair of someone who lives for the drama.
“What happened out there?” she asks, eyebrows raised. “You look all flushed and disoriented…Did the vending machine give you snacks and an orgasm?”
You shake your head slowly, still trying to process, cheeks warm as you mumble, “Worse…he paid for the snacks and the drink.”
“Oh my God, was it Abbot?!” she whispers like you just admitted to a crime.
“You don’t even work here how the fuck could you guess that?” you blink at her, caught completely off guard.
She grins, smug as hell. “Mateo tells me everything. I’ve been wondering when y’all were finally gonna do the dirty—honestly, I thought it would’ve happened by Christmas.”
You stare at her, deadpan. “We were at the vending machine for like five minutes.”
“Exactly,” she says, wiggling her eyebrows. “Plenty of time.”
You burst into uncontrollable laughter, doubling over with the bag of chips crinkling in the process. It’s not even what she said—it’s how she said it, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. You don’t even have a comeback, you’re laughing too hard to think straight.
Your laughter echoes just enough to catch the attention of the nurses passing by, a few glancing in with amused smiles. Ellis walks in and says, “Must be a good night in here,” and it only makes you laugh harder.
After Abbot escorted you back to your friend’s room, despite your attempts to wave him off, he suddenly got the call about an incoming patient in critical condition. With barely a moment to spare, he straightened up, professionalism settling back over him, but his eyes stayed on you just a moment longer than usual.
“I’ll be busy for a while,” he said, his voice carrying a mix of seriousness and something a little more teasing. “Find me if you’re still here. I’m sure I’ll be hard to miss.”
You couldn’t help but smile as he turned, already heading back into the chaos of the ER. There was something about the way he moved, so focused yet so casual around you. You’d still be here, waiting for your friend’s boyfriend to arrive. He was visiting family a couple of cities away, but he was on his way now to pick you both up.
Jack ended up being busier than expected, cases stacking one on top of the other, and you never got around to finding him—not that you could’ve, with your friend’s boyfriend showing up not long after. Honestly, you were a little grateful. You didn’t even want to unravel whatever “come find me” was supposed to mean. Did he just want to chat a little longer? Say a proper goodbye?
You weren’t sure, and you didn’t want to be sure. At least, that’s what you told yourself as you slumped into the backseat, craving your bed, your pillow, and the luxury of pretending the night never happened. Meanwhile, Jack couldn’t stop thinking about you—how incredibly good you looked despite the chaos. Some of the nurses’ bets about him finally cracking? Yeah, they were getting real close.

"are you almost ready?" george called out to y/n, who was in the bathroom finishing up her makeup. she knew her friends were here to collect her for their night out and george was just making sure she didn't end up keeping them waiting for too long. "yes, just give me a sec!" she replies, throwing a brush in the general direction of her makeup bag haphazardly.
"all done," she smiles, coming out of the bathroom, finishing touches all complete. "you look gorgeous y/n." george beams, wrapping his arms around her middle. "thank you." she returns the hug and gives him a quick kiss on the cheek before turning to walk towards the front door, with george following behind her. "have fun and be safe," he says, "and when you're ready to be picked up just give me a text." y/n nods, she was always grateful that he was willing to do things like that for her no matter what time of the night it was. "see you later then," she grins, a grin that he couldn't help but reciprocate, and steps outside to join her friends.
the pub that y/n's friends had chosen was a local one, but one that she had walked past countless times without ever giving it a second thought. she wasn't sure what to expect upon entering the establishment, but that didn't make her nervous. she had always thought that trying out new things or places was one of the things that kept life exciting.
once over the threshold, her senses were immediately flooded - loud music blaring from what appeared to be karaoke (something she anticipated she would have to pry her drunk friends away from later in the evening), several conversations, most of which were shouted in a desperate attempt to be heard over the music, and a strong smell of alcohol. at least, y/n thought, the people seemed to be enjoying themselves.
"we can either sit next to the speaker and go deaf or nearer to that group," one of her friends gestured to a fairly large group of rowdy guys near the bar, "and also go deaf." they all laugh at this, although their laughter was short-lived - the options really weren't good. "i vote anything but that," y/n scrunches her nose up thinking about the group - if they were already unpleasant from the safe distance at which she was observing them, god knows how insufferable it would be to spend a few hours practically on top of them.
after some deliberation, y/n and her friends settled on a table closer to the music. with everyone situated and ready for the night, a few of the girls made their way to the bar to grab some drinks.
"is that everything?" y/n questioned, scanning the array of drinks that had been poured for them. "seems about right," her friend shrugged, "we'll figure out if we ordered everyone something when we give them out." y/n nods, she was right. thankfully, enough of them had come to the bar to help out that what would have otherwise been a horrendous balancing act, was actually a swift and tidy transportation of drinks. y/n placed the last few glasses down on the table before turning to one of the girls and saying quietly, "i'm just going to pop to the toilet."
"do you want one of us to come with?" she asked, to which y/n shook her head - the bathroom wasn't far from where they were sitting and she wasn't worried about anything else. they had specifically chosen to sit across the room from the disruptive group of guys so she figured they wouldn't bother her.
either way, y/n decided she would move as quickly as possible, sliding past the few people nearby and into the room. she didn't want to spend more time than she needed to in there - pub toilets were unpleasant at the best of times and she also didn't really want to miss out on anything. nevertheless, she took a moment to freshen up - her makeup was still in position and her hair didn't seem to be so different from when she originally styled it so she simply gave her hands a wash and made for the door.
grabbing the cool metal handle, y/n threw the door open and set off with the intention of walking briskly back in the direction of her friends. instead, her stride was broken by a figure colliding with her as she stepped out of the bathroom. "oh!" she jumped back, her body flush with the door, "i'm so sorry." she exclaimed. the person, whom she had now realised was a man who had just come out of the bathroom himself, smiled warmly down at her. "don't worry, i wasn't really looking where i was going." y/n studied his face for a moment, she could've sworn she recognised him but she couldn't quite put her finger on where from. "sorry," she brushed a stray piece of hair out of her face, "do i know you from somewhere?" she paused, wondering if that had been a strange question, "i just feel like you look familiar," she added.
"you're y/n aren't you?" the man cocked his eyebrow, but didn't wait for a response. "we used to work together." realisation hit y/n, she couldn't believe she had managed to briefly forget him, they had spent almost every day for a number of years side by side. she couldn't even blame this one on alcohol. "of course!" she laughed at her own silliness and also in the hopes of relieving some tension - she was praying she hadn't offended him. "we had some good times." she smiled. much to her relief, he smiled back, "absolutely, i can't believe how much time has passed. i'd love to catch up with you." y/n liked the idea - she had to admit that she had wondered what he was up to and this would be the perfect opportunity to check in. however, she also recognised that she was here with her friends and it would be wrong to abandon them, especially when they were the ones that organised the evening.
"i'm kind of with people at the moment," y/n gave him an apologetic look, she had tried to word it kindly, in a way that didn't seem like a harsh refusal of his offer. "no worries, just whenever you have a free moment later on," he smiles, "drinks on me, of course." y/n returns the smile, "see you later then."
//
y/n could feel her head growing fuzzy and she could tell her friends felt the same, so it had been a collective decision to end the night there. with everyone calling taxis or friends to collect them, y/n decided to drop george a text to come and collect her in around half an hour's time. as promised, she found her way to her ex-coworker's table, telling herself that she could only accept one drink out of politeness and as to not hate herself too much the next morning.
"so what'll it be?" he asks grinning, digging into his pocket to find his wallet. "just whatever you're having," y/n slid into a chair and waited for him to return with the drink. soon enough, the drinks arrived and after getting over some initial awkwardness, they were back to chatting like old friends. y/n was so caught up in conversation that she hadn't realised george had texted her numerous times that he had arrived until he entered the pub himself and informed her.
"i've been trying to get you to come outside for a bit now," george says, approaching the table where they were sitting. he wasn't angry, he was aware that y/n would be caught up with her friends and therefore a little slower to check her phone, but he was confused. who was this guy? he'd met y/n's friends on countless occasions, and she often mentioned them, but this stranger hadn't ever seemed to come up in conversation. "i'm sorry," she looked up at him with flushed cheeks, the alcohol had definitely gotten to her. george was about to open his mouth to ask her who the mystery man was but before he could get there, she interjected, "this is my old coworker, from when i worked at the shop."
suddenly it made sense - maybe y/n had mentioned him in passing, he was sure she'd talked about her time at the shop a couple of times previously. "well nice meeting you," george didn't really feel like engaging in any formalities, all he really wanted was to get y/n home and go to bed. "we'd better get home." he smiled somewhat apologetically, and took y/n by the hand in an attempt to coax her to stand up. "honestly, please join us," the man, who george still didn't know the name of (nor did he really care to find out either), said. "we were only just beginning to catch up." george glanced at y/n, although he wasn't so sure if she was in a good position to be passing judgement.
"that would be nice," she smiled softly, "george?" she looked up at him with big eyes, eyes that he often found very hard to resist. george still wasn't sold on the idea. "are you sure? it's getting quite late now." he questioned, in the hopes that she would agree and they could go. he really was not a fan of how eager this guy was to spend time with her, and it was made worse by the fact that he hardly knew the guy. "please?" y/n tightened her grip on his hand, willing him to just take the seat next to her.
at this point, george obliged. it was clear y/n was enjoying herself and this guy didn't make her uncomfortable. it was not worth ruining her night and mood by forcing her to come with him. "alright." he said flatly, admittedly through gritted teeth. y/n raised an eyebrow at his tone but brushed it off, maybe he was just tired and besides, he absolutely could tolerate sitting down and talking for a short while.
//
the more he talked, the more george was sure he couldn't stand the guy. the way he looked at y/n with such blind adoration in his eyes, the way he kept reaching out to touch her on the arm briefly during the conversation and his body language, completely focused towards y/n as if he wasn't there - it was all far too much.
george made a point of blatantly checking the time and announcing it to the table, "right, i think we should call it a night here?" he turned to y/n, who was obviously more tired than she had been when he first arrived, who solemnly agreed. george stood up first, quickly helping y/n up and wrapping his arm around her shoulder protectively. "thank you, that was a lovely evening," her former coworker smiled, "we should do this again y/n." the fact he had purposely left george out of the conversation, without even having the decency to offer an invite to him (or to any of her friends) confirmed every suspicion.
george's body stiffened, his grip on y/n tightening slightly. "i don't think that would be appropriate." he said calmly, masking how truly infuriating it was for him to be witnessing this behaviour. "we're leaving now." he didn't give y/n a chance to wave goodbye or say thank you to her old friend, and instead took off briskly towards the exit and to the car.
"what was that about?" y/n looked puzzled, to her the night had simply been catching up with someone from her past and nothing more. "could you seriously not tell?" george himself was dumbfounded, it was beyond him how she could be so oblivious. "tell what?" y/n snapped back at him, "all i could tell was that you hated him. your face was sour the entire night."
"well forgive me for not taking a liking to the guy who was practically undressing you with his eyes," george began to raise his voice, he didn't like getting angry and wouldn't ever want to upset y/n but it was impossible to contain his rage in the moment. "he was not!" y/n protested, "he is just an ex-colleague, what has gotten into you?"
"to you maybe," george still felt disgusted, "i mean, did you even notice that he was constantly trying to touch you?" y/n shook her head in disbelief, "i think you're being dramatic. even if he was flirting with me, why would it matter?" silence clung to the air. george stared at the ground helplessly, he knew that no matter the number of ways he tried to explain this to y/n she would just be adamant he wasn't making advances on her. "i like you not him." she reached out to touch him on the arm, "george, i'm not angry at you. i think i was just surprised."
y/n stepped closer to him carefully and slotted herself under his chin, wrapping her arms around him in the most reassuring hug she could muster - he did the same. "i'm sorry." he mumbled into her hair where he had buried his face, "it's hard to not get jealous when you have such a beautiful girlfriend." y/n grinned, "you are silly." she paused, contemplating whether or not to share her thoughts. "and for the record, i do think you are extra hot when you're jealous."
"oh?" george raised his eyebrow, "well, as long as you don't keep meeting up with random co-workers that definitely have a crush on you, i can live with that." he chuckled. "don't worry, you definitely scared him away." y/n laughed, "i am not at risk." george mocked offense, "hilarious y/n," he smiled sarcastically, guiding her towards the car and opening the passenger door for her to climb in before getting in himself.
"i do love you, you know," she stared out of the windscreen in thought. "i know you do, and i love you," george patted her knee, "let's just worry about getting you home now."

Looking up at the building's sign above your head, you were starting to think that this was a mistake. Maybe driving yourself to a sketchy address texted to you by your friend wasn't the best idea, and there was the possibility that she may be planning your funeral next week. The tan brick building was old and crumbling, but somehow still standing after all the weathering over the years. You pulled your phone out, double-checking the address from your messages, and yes, 869 Elvie Street was the correct address.
The events leading to this scenario started a couple of weeks ago when you mentioned to a friend that you were having some stress-induced pain due to your job.
"Have you tried getting laid?" was her first question.
After exclaiming to her that not every problem is fixed with sex, she provided the option of possibly seeing a chiropractor or massage therapist. You had gone over the suggestion in your mind, waiting a few days before texting her and asking for recommendations. She had a tried and true place she had been going for years, so you trusted her judgment.
"Now, don't be put off immediately. Simon doesn't have a lot to say, strictly work. Not the friendliest type but I swear he can pinpoint exactly where my pain is coming from and I feel like I'm on cloud nine when I leave his place. He's a private practice, so only one-on-one with him."
The issue with going there was that Simon’s hours conflicted with your work schedule, and it was extremely difficult to get time off. It took you a while to message him, but when you finally did work up the courage, you asked if there was any possible way he could stay a little late to work you into his schedule. You were met with the blunt reply of,
"No. - S”
And that was that. You didn't dare message again, determining that your pain wasn't actually that bad to manage and that you could deal with it. To be honest, you had forgotten all about the text and went back to work, keeping busy for the next several weeks. That is until the sharp pain shooting from your hip down into your groin was unbearable and you could hardly walk. You were never one to call off of work, but there was no possible way you would be able to get through the day in the state that you were currently in. Teeth gritting in pain, you called your friend, begging her to talk to Simon - put in that it was an emergency.
"Can you get yourself there by 10?" she had texted.
You shot a glance at the clock - 8:47. A soft groan left your lips, you had texted a short reply that you would be able to. Maybe you should have thought about it for a moment before sending an immediate reply. Typing in the address that your friend had given you, you were pleasantly surprised that it was only a few minutes down the road from your apartment. Slowly sliding to the edge of the couch, you grit your teeth in pain once again as you try putting your weight on your good hip. The sharp jabbing pain raced like fire down into your groin, causing you to cry out softly. You huffed in annoyance, slowly making your way to the bedroom to get dressed for your appointment.
It took a lot longer than you wanted, the attempt to put on a new pair of pants almost sending you into a fit of hysterics. You limp over to your bathroom vanity, taking a moment to brush your hair and then your teeth. Your eyes are a bit bleary with tears, so you blink them away, attempting to not look deranged. This is the best that you can do in your situation. Taking one final look at yourself, you huff yet again and make the long and painful route (typically a less than 2-minute walk down a short flight of stairs) to your car.
Shutting the door behind you, you lean on your good hip as you lock the front door to your apartment. It's a bit chilly out, the sun is not quite over the clouds this morning. A quick glance at your watch lets you know that you have about 15 minutes until your designated appointment. The familiar wash of anxiety starts from the crown of your head, making you shutter slightly as it passes down your shoulders and into your stomach. Everything would be okay... you told yourself (almost unconvincingly).
The ride over was quiet, opting to not listen to any music as you were already overstimulated. You followed the little arrow on the map, almost missing your turn because your thoughts were elsewhere. A quick parallel park of your car and you throw it into Park, letting out a deep breath before attempting to pull yourself out. You have your keys and phone in one hand, using the other to grab the handle above to use as leverage. Your good foot makes contact with the asphalt, digging in slightly as you hoist yourself up, careful not to jerk too quickly.
You stumble for just a moment, leaning against the now-closed car door before righting yourself once more and slowly making your way over to the sidewalk. Nervousness pulls in your stomach again. A glance to the left and right of your surroundings shows there are no other cars on the street that you're parked on. You tilt your phone up, opening up your messages to let Simon know that you're here.
A few moments go by in silence, and you shift your weight again, taking a look at your surroundings. A bell chiming grabs your attention and you look back towards the front door, surprise etching itself along your features as a man - you are guessing Simon, fills up the entrance. He appears almost out of nowhere, still as a statue as he stands there. He crosses his arms, stretching the grey t-shirt he has on to the point where they might almost bust out of the sleeves.
You blink rapidly, taking him all in. His dark eyes lock onto you, gaze unwavering. Brows furrowed slightly, the only available space you can see are his eyes. The lower half of his face is covered by a black surgical mask. Mysterious. You're at a loss for words, not knowing what to say. His gaze has you pinned to the spot, almost as if you were caught doing something particularly naughty.
A soft grumbling noise comes from his chest, a noise of annoyance as he rolls his eyes and turns back to walk back inside, letting the door fall back into its previous closed state. A frown tugs your lips downward, confusion whirling a spiraling pattern into your thoughts as you slowly hobble towards the door. You push it open, the bell chiming once again before the rush of the wind pulls the door shut quickly behind you, causing you to jump. Taking a look around the office, it's - as expected. Neat, white walls and grey wooden flooring. Nothing is decorating the small area, but surprisingly there are a few well taken care of monsteras by the front door. The air smells like eucalyptus and mint, a relaxing scent that causes your tightly drawn shoulders to droop just a bit.
You're not sure where Simon went so you stay by the front door, not wanting to be caught snooping around the office. He comes back just a few moments later, still silent as he steps forward and crowds your space. You inhale sharply, the faint smell of cigarettes and Earl Grey filling your nostrils. He reaches beside your head, flipping the deadbolt to the left - locking you both inside.
Heart fluttering in your chest, you grip your keys a bit tighter, watching as he turns quickly on his heel and disappears down the hallway.
"Down here, love," he calls, his deep voice reverberating off of the walls.
It takes you by surprise, a warm heat spreading in your belly. You somehow get your feet to move, brain short-circuiting as you try to actively process what the hell your friend got you into.
The room at the end of the hall is much cozier than the front office. Light grey walls and a carpeted floor, shelves full of herbs and salves, a long black bench, and a rack of towels are inside. Simon's sitting on a black rolling chair, legs spread out on either side of him. The soft glow of a lamp casts a variety of shadows in the room, making it a bit hard to see his face.
You are hesitant, but trust your friend and step forward into the room. Your eyes bounce around, taking everything in before landing back on Simon.
"Your friend said this was an emergency?" he asks coolly, eyebrows raising slightly.
You nod, pressing your lips together in a slight grimace, the pain of your hip dully radiating at the moment.
"What's bothering you?" he asks again, eyes flicking quickly over your form before landing back on your face.
You feel your cheeks flush, the rush of embarrassment hitting you quickly. A quick clear of your throat before you answer timidly.
"M-My hip."
His brows furrow for a moment before relaxing back on his face. He didn't pry, which you were grateful for. God only knows the thoughts running through his head at your answer. Simon beckons you closer and you oblige, trying your best not to put too much weight on your leg. He hums softly, almost as if confirming to himself what to do with you. You're standing rather close, the scent of him filling your nostrils again. It makes your stomach flutter.
"Can you sit?" he asks, dark eyes catching your gaze.
You nod, almost dumbly as you shuffle forward, turning and placing the back of your lower thighs flush with the black table. Leaning back slightly, you go to sit down when that flash of pain shoots down your leg again, causing you to gasp sharply.
Simon's hand wraps itself around your waist quickly, holding your weight for a moment while you try to steady yourself. Your brows furrow in pain, tears welling up as you look past him, staring at the wall and willing the moment to pass. Your body trembles slightly and you let out a huff of air, closing your eyes for a moment before opening them again. The moment has passed.
You notice his dark eyes on you again, cheeks flushing with the scrutiny of his gaze.
"Alright?" he asks lowly, eyes scanning your face again for any sign of pain.
You nod slowly and he helps you lower yourself on the table. You're seated now, resting for a moment as you tell him.
"Thank you..."
He hums softly again, the sound rumbling around in his chest. Simon steps forward, pushing himself up from the small stool he was sitting on. You sit there wondering how it manages to hold his weight. A light press on your shoulder from him, wanting you to lie on your back. The plushness of the table is comfortable, and you wiggle for a moment before deciding that you're comfy. It's hard to resist looking at him, large frame taking up your entire field of vision. You can't even see the door anymore.
Your eyes flutter closed, willing them to stop for a moment. Simon’s standing by your side, and you feel his large hand circle your ankle, pushing your knee up toward the ceiling. There's a slight pull again from your hip and you tense, wary of the oncoming pain.
"Relax," he murmurs.
You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding and tell yourself to calm down. Blood rushing in your ears, you hear the familiar whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.
"'M gonna try and stretch your hip flexor before I adjust you, alright?" he explains and you nod.
With one hand on your knee and the other circling your hip he starts with a small range of motion, moving your knee towards your chest and back out again. So far so good, minimal pain. His fingers squeeze into the fat of your hip, keeping it stable as he goes through a few motions for mobility. It's only when Simon moves your knee out parallel from your body that you cry out involuntarily, the sharp sensation pulling the breath from you.
You watch as his brows furrow once more and he squeezes your hip gently - an apology. Your breath quickens, eyes widening as he slowly moves your hip back to its original spot before doing it once more. The pain is there again, but not as sudden. You let out a shuttering breath, the anticipation of the imminent pain causing you to sniffle.
"There we go..." he murmurs.
His voice causes a wave of relaxation over your body, and you go pliant in his grip. The motions are becoming easier, less and less of the pulling pain as he stretches your hip out. It's become more of a dull ache, something that you could manage. He moves to your other hip, repeating the motions from just moments earlier. This one causes no problems at all. Your gaze flits up to the ceiling, watching the shadows of the light bounce as it reflects off of his movement. He releases your hip, and you immediately miss the contact. Simon shifts down to the edge of the table, holding both of your feet together as he examines the natural alignment of your hips.
"One's a bit shorter than the other," he explains, crouching down to look at which one to adjust through one squinted eye.
"Good news, it's not the injured one," you hear a hint of a smile in his voice.
You smile back softly in return, watching as his two large hands wrap around your right foot after letting your other leg drop gently to the table. He wiggles your foot slightly, loosening up your hip.
"Relax f'me," he instructs (and how could you with the sound of his voice making pleasure burn deliciously in your stomach).
Wiggling your foot one more time, he yanks back towards himself suddenly, a sharp crack! from your hip filling the room.
"Woah," you gasp out quietly.
He grabs your shoes again, checking the alignment before dropping them gently, satisfied that the adjustment did the job. Simon's large hand reaches out, an offer to help pull you into a seated position. His hands are calloused, but not super rough against your own skin. He gently lets go and whirls around to his shelves of salves, rummaging through before he finds some BioFreeze. It's in a small aluminum tin, the sharp smell of medical tincture burning your nose.
"Apply this once you get home, you're gonna be sore for a few days. Helps relax the muscles," he explains.
You pluck it gently from his fingers, twirling the tin in your own.
"I can't thank you enough..." you murmur, looking down in your lap.
He tuts softly, placing a hand on the small of your back and helping you up and off the black table. You look up at him once more, eyes focused on his mask as you ask,
"How much?"
"Consider it a favor for a friend," he says.
You're walking down the short hallway now, looking over your shoulder at him. He follows you to the door, reaching over to unlock the deadbolt before leaning back at a respectable distance once more.
"I can't just not pay you," you argue softly.
He shakes his head, a soft huff of a laugh falling from his lips.
"Heal that hip up and I'll think about it."
With that, he gives you a wink and opens the door for you, ushering you outside. Your mouth drops slightly, blushing at his words before you click your key fob to unlock the car. You grab the handle, missing it a few times before you finally yank the door open and hop inside, throwing your belongings in the passenger seat. The first thing you do is grab your phone, furiously typing your friend's phone number into the dial box. She picks up in two rings.
"Well...?" she prods, an obvious grin in her voice.
"Well-" you huff, putting your seatbelt on in a hurry as you start to drive, not even fully clicked in before you speed off. "I feel a lot better."
She laughs on the other end. "I told you! He's amazing! And sooo handsome too, even behind the mask.”
You laugh softly at that, nodding your head even though she couldn't see you.
"He wouldn't let me pay," you pout, tapping your fingers against the steering wheel as you drive home.
"Really?" she asks incredulously.
"Mhm..." you answer, thinking back to the conversation. "He told me to let my hip heal and that he would think about it." you continue. "He also-,"
"What? He what?" she prods, so excited it sounded like she was trying to jump through the phone.
"H-He winked at me when he said it," you blush deeply, thinking about his dark eyes staying glued to you the whole appointment.
"Oh my god!" she squeals. "You know what that means right?" she asks.
"No?" you answer, genuine confusion in your voice.
--
What it meant was that he wanted to fuck. Unbeknownst to you, Simon could barely keep himself appropriate when he opened the door to you that day. A client of his, your friend, had practically begged him to get you in. She declared your situation an emergency. It was an emergency all right, the emergency being that he wasn't stuffing your pussy full of his cock at this very second. It took all of his composure not to strip you down in his office and have you begging for more. Your little whimpers and cries of pain turned on that wicked part of his brain that got off on it. He kept replaying them in his head that night, thick fingers wrapped around the base of himself as he bucked into the tight fist he had made. Simon was seriously fucked up. He knew it but couldn't help himself. Couldn't help dipping into the temptation of the possibility of having your soft body underneath his own.
He wanted to know what you tasted like, what you felt like under his rough hands. He'd treat you well. Pulling every last little noise out of you that he could. The thought alone had him crying out hoarsely, covering his hand in the sinful act of imagination.
Good god.
Simon groaned, shame filling his stomach as he rolled off the side of the bed, strolling over to the bathroom in just a few steps to clean himself up.
What was he going to do?
--
The salve Simon had given you was a godsend. As he had told you, your hips were super sore over the next few days, but having the cooling salve helped ease the tense muscles. You had gone back to work, your friend pestering you every second about him. Simon...you sigh, shaking the thought of him from your mind. Something about him...
You had thought about texting him, but that would be weird. There was no absolute reason for you to have to see him again. Your hip was doing better, the overstretched ligament finally healing with the help of his hands. Oh, his hands... You reminisce on the feeling of having his long fingers wrapped around your hips, the gentle squeezes of comfort, the sure way he knew what to manipulate on your body to make you feel better.
God. You were fucked.
--
Things were going well for a couple of weeks until one Sunday evening, you had decided to take a bath and treat yourself to a nice evening. The water was scalding, just how you liked it, as you slid into the water, a long sigh escaping your lips as you soaked your weary muscles. You close your eyes, thoughts drifting to a certain someone... imagining what he would do to you. A soft moan escapes your lips, hand sliding down your torso to gently brush against your clit.
An exasperated laugh left you, applying more pressure at the thought of his hands sliding down your body. Your hips jerked up suddenly, and to your horror, the sharp pain came back instantly. Oh no...
Dread filled your body as soon as it happened, already knowing that you were going to have to message him again. Maybe you could try to get out of the bath...
The sharp pain pulled again, causing you to curse in frustration. Looks like you were stuck for the time being. You grab your phone, open up to your contacts, and send Simon a quick message.
Another emergency.
...
Silence. You huff, knowing that he's not obligated to answer you. It was his day off after all. You might as well enjoy the hot water as much as possible. The warmth envelops your body, providing a little bit of comfort as you relax.
--
You must've dozed off because when you wake, the bath is lukewarm. A groan falls from your lips, rubbing a hand down your face before blindly reaching over for your phone. You blink blearily at the bright screen, looking at your notifications. Simon had replied. Oh shit. Your fingers shake as you open the notification.
Hope it wasn't because of something naughty. ;) - S
You nearly scream, cheeks ablaze with emotion. How the hell did he know?
Ha. Ha. You reply quickly.
You see the ... floating back and forth as he types, thoughts in limbo.
Can you walk? He asks.
You weren't sure, not having tested before because of the pain. Easing up slowly, you're able to pull yourself into a seated position. The water drips down your body and into the water, rapid descent of the drops making a soft tinkling noise. You reach for your towel, slowly starting to dry yourself off and wrapping it around your damp body. It takes a moment, but you're able to pull yourself up and over the tub, staying in a small crouch. If you're in this position, it's not too bad. You grip the counter, sending a quick text back.
Barely.
It takes a few moments for him to respond, and by that time, you have your towel dropped around your feet and are attempting to put on your panties.
I can stop by.
Your stomach flutters after reading his text. Fingers grip your phone as you respond.
I wouldn't want to bother…
Maybe you could make it until the beginning of the week. Tilting your hips back, you push yourself up, throwing an oversized shirt on quickly before bunching back over in discomfort.
Address?
Is all he asks. You huff, knowing you're not going to be able to argue, so you send it to him.
He arrives at your apartment in 20 minutes. In that time, you had slowly made your way to the living room so that you could sit on the couch and wait for him. A sharp rap of his knuckles notifies that it is indeed him. You groan when you sit up again, slowly shuffling to the door. Your fingers fumble with the lock, twisting the metal bar to the side before you pull back, allowing the door to open.
It's a bit hard to see him from the angle that you're bent at, but you tilt your head to get a quick look at him.
Simon opted for black scrubs this time, his pants pulling deliciously taut against his thick thighs. His shirt is just a thin white tee, doing little to hide his broad chest. You notice a smattering of ink crawling up his forearm, as it’s closest to your field of sight.
Your eyes catch his, noticing the softness of his gaze. You realize you must look like a wounded animal to him - pathetic.
“Can I come in?” he asks politely, voice rumbling with deep timbre.
“Yes,” you sigh out, catching the way his eyes fall to your lower half.
His mask crinkles up against his face, he's smirking. It's only then that you realize that you forgot to put on pants. How embarrassing. Heat flushes hot up your chest, staining your cheeks pink.
“I’m sorry,” you half apologize. “I couldn’t-.”
“S’okay,” he soothes.
You nod, slowly stepping back and allowing him in. He looks odd in your apartment. The hulk of him taking up most of your entryway. He has to duck to step through the threshold, kicking his shoes off by the door. What a gentleman.
You swing the door shut, mimicking his actions from a few weeks ago, and locking the deadbolt behind you. The air is a bit awkward, mostly due to your own insecurities. You attempt to pull your shirt down farther to cover your bare legs.
“Don’t have to hide from me, lovie,” Simon murmurs. “Let’s get you sorted out, yeah?”
You nod, looking at him for direction. He takes a step forward, crowding your space with his presence. Simon’s paw of a hand flexes at his side, clearly restraining to the best of his ability to not touch you.
“Where’s most comfortable?” he questions, taking a look around your small apartment.
You hum, thinking…the bed would probably be the most comfortable, but also very intimate. The couch could work too, but being only one-sided due to the back of it. There was also the floor…but you didn’t know if you could get back up from it afterward. Bed it was then.
“The bed…” you murmur shyly.
His mask crinkles again, pulling against his face as he smirks again.
“After you,” he gestures with a slight nod of his head.
You turn then, stomach twirling with anxiety as you lead him into the bedroom. Slow, deliberate steps to not flare up your injury. The air is a bit cooler and you shiver, goosebumps crawling up your skin. Your clock reads 0442, the golden rays of sunshine confirming the time.
Your bedroom isn’t messy, but a bit eclectic with the clutter - a few books stacked on your nightstand, a jewelry tray, and a few odds and ends from your purse scattered on your vanity. You always leave a lamp on, along with an essential oil diffuser. Eucalyptus and mint - your favorite.
Simon pads silently behind you, almost forgotten until you catch him out of the corner of your eye. You watch as he takes in the small space, a soft hum as his eyes dance around the room.
You had, for once made your bed today, a fluffy black duvet and a grey throw stretched across the queen size. You didn’t particularly need such a wide space, but it was a luxury of yours, being able to spread out on your own.
Walking (limping) around to your side of the bed, you take it slow when sitting down. You laugh suddenly, imagining what Simon must think of you - an old lady.
“Somethin’ funny?” he questions, a smile in his voice.
“I must look be a sight, hobbling around like this,” you laugh breathlessly.
A slight shake of his head, eyes nearly shut. He’s cheesin’. Simon steps around to meet you, mimicking his movements from a few weeks prior. Two of his thick fingers push into the rivet of your shoulder - a silent plea to lay on your back. Obviously, your bed is much comfier, plush pillows surrounding your head as you sigh. Eyelids fluttering, you look directly up at him, a blush dusting your cheeks as you wait for him to move.
A large hand slides down your side, settling in the crook of your hip. His fingers squeeze at the fat there, stabilizing the joint as his other hand slowly brings your knee up to point to the ceiling. The movements are much slower now, remembering from the first incident that he had caused you pain.
Your body is tense, waiting for the sharp ripple that travels down your thigh - it does, as soon as your hip flexor is tilted to the side.
A sharp cry punches out of your lungs, eyes immediately filling with tears.
“Sorry, love…” Simon murmurs, voicing genuine concern.
You sniffle, taking a deep breath as he makes the rotation back to the first position.
“You’re too tense,” he grumbles, releasing the hold on your knee before sliding his fingers down your bare leg, erupting goosebumps along their wake.
He allows his fingers to unfurl from your hip, pushing the hem of your shirt just above it, so that he can see the bare skin there.
Your eyes flicker down to the exposed spot, desperately wanting to yank your shirt back down.
“Where’s the salve?” he questions.
“Hm?” you hum, thoughts drifting again to his hands.
“The salve?” he questions again, eyebrows raising towards his hairline.
“Oh,” you sigh. “Bedside drawer.” you point to the nightstand to the right of you.
He rummages around for only a moment before the metal tin is in his large hands. Spinning the lid off, he dips two fingers down into the tincture before gently rubbing it into the skin of your hip. You whine softly, the cooling sensation a relief to the flared injury.
Simon huffs softly, eyes flitting over your near-naked form before settling on your own.
“Can’t be making noises like that, bunny,” he warns lowly.
A tingling sensation pulls in your stomach, desire pooling at the base of your spine. Only then do you notice his cock is straining against his pants, clearly turned on by your involuntary noises. You bite your lip hard, turning your head away to not look at him. He was doing you a favor - that was all. A favor for a friend…right?
“Simon,” you sigh softly. “I’m sorry.”
You roll your head back to the other side, blinking before looking up at his face. His brows furrow, confusion etching them into place.
“Don’t apologize,” he huffs, just a faint hint of frustration in his voice.
You can’t tell if he’s frustrated with himself or you. A frown turns your lips downward. His fingers have stopped rubbing the rest of the tincture into your skin, frozen in place as if he’s afraid to touch you again. His other hand is at a fist at his side, fingers clenching together in restraint. Simon’s chest rides and falls languidly as the moment passes, silence lingering in the shared space.
You take a deep breath before you speak,
“Is everything okay?”
His dark eyes flit to yours, pupils dilated to the point where they melt into his irises. Another unblinking gaze makes you a bit uneasy. A familiar flutter of panic itches at the back of your skull.
“No,” he finally answers, slicing the tension of silence with a verbal knife.
“Why?” you breathe out, entranced in his gaze, the rise and fall of your chest quickening.
“Because I want to touch you,” he admits, words so soft your ears are straining to hear them.
Your brain short circuits, a flood of arousal filling your panties. You tense slightly, an unwarranted reaction - before slowly relaxing and letting your legs fall open - an invitation. You’re still mindful of your injured hip, Simon’s fingers still slightly brushing the top of your thighs.
He groans then, a delightful noise that rattles around in his chest before spilling from his lips. Simon places his knee on the bed, slowly leaning his weight forward as he crawls up in between your legs. Your head was spinning, trying to catch up with what was unfolding before you. His touch is featherlight, fingers lightly brushing the bare skin of your calf closest to him. Sitting up on your elbows, you watch quietly, curious as to how this was going to play out.
The sun was starting to set, golden hues splaying across Simon’s form. A particular ray hit his eyes, revealing the brilliant ochre that spiraled within them. He looked like something of a god, on display for you and you only. Simon leans down then, pulling his mask down just a bit to place his lips on your skin. You shutter, the feeling of them erupting goosebumps. They were surprisingly soft, slightly chapped, and full. He slowly moves up your thigh, gentle kisses placed on your skin, nearly afraid of breaking you.
You were fragile in his eyes. Something that he wouldn’t dare to shatter. But yet, something in him wanted to, wanted to break and bend and manipulate you with his bare hands. Simon wanted to pull every ounce of pleasure from your body, to take away the pain that was lingering. He wanted to hear your pretty whines, watch your body react, and flush to his touches. Mold you into his own body, fitting the two as one. Dip his fingers into your soaking cunt. He opts for placing soft kisses first, warming you to his touch.
To his pleasure, you’re extremely reactive, soft sighs and hums of approval are music to his ears. His large hands slide up your bare thighs, admiring the smoothness of your skin. You answering your door in your underwear was not on his radar and completely threw him for a loop.
Things had moved quickly and now…now he was wanting to taste you. Mouth watering at the thought. Simon looks at you now, trembling under his touch, anticipation etched onto your pretty face. He’s resting on his stomach, broad shoulders causing you to stretch your good hip out almost near exertion. A slow lean down and…
His warm mouth makes contact with your clothed pussy, tongue flattening against the fabric and sliding up achingly slow. A low moan falls from your lips, head falling back against the pillow. Simon repeats the motion, slowly mapping out your folds to memory. A shudder of pleasure makes its way down your body and you reach a hand out, placing it on his bicep. You give it a light squeeze, fingers curling tight.
Soft moans of yours fill the air, along with the smell of your arousal. You’re dripping wet, soaked fabric of your panties clinging to your folds. Simon hasn’t let up since he began, your slick dripping down his chin. His mask is long forgotten, but his face is hidden between your legs, so you can’t see what he looks like in his entirety.
His long fingers brush against the side of your panties, causing your hips to jerk upwards suddenly. A sharp gasp punches out of your chest, pain radiating down your thigh once again. Tears spring up in your eyes - frustration causing them to bubble up and over onto your cheeks. Your eyes flutter closed and you are jostled by Simon moving. Cheeks burning hot with shame, you turn your face away.
Your lip trembles despite you trying your best to keep it still. This was a mistake, and now he was going to leave. Your hand curls itself into a fist at your bare side.
A touch to your face startles you, causing your eyes to flutter open in shock. Simon is still there, mask placed back on his face as he gazes down at you. He’s half leaning over you, hand placed by the space near your shoulder, eyes glittering with concern.
“Let’s try something different, yeah?” he suggests.
It takes a moment for your brain to process the words, still in shock that he is still here. He still wants to even though you ruined the moment. You nod slowly, still frozen and afraid to move due to the pain. Simon snakes his right hand down to wrap his long fingers around the fat of your hip. He squeezes tightly, holding the aching muscle in place as he climbs onto your bed yet again.
Simon’s straddling your left leg, taking the quick movement to switch your positions in one fluid moment. You yelp, hands flying out to land on his chest as you try to steady yourself. He’s still got a grip on your hip, the pressure keeping it from overextending itself as you sit in his lap. You can feel his length through your soaked panties.
He’s resting comfortably back against your pillows, eyes half closed as they lazily scan down your body. His chest rises and falls languidly, a sound of contentment rumbling throughout. It almost sounds like he’s purring. An experimental shifting of his hips has the tip of his cock brushing against your clit, sending fire licking down your spine.
A pathetic noise crawls up your throat, falling from your lips on its own accord. You watch as his mask crinkles again, eyes nearly closed as he smirks. Simon rolls his hips up towards your own, keeping you locked in place. All you can do is take it, his vice-like grip preventing you from moving. Your stomach flutters with arousal, slick dripping down your thighs as his cock slides against the sticky fabric of your panties.
“Look ‘atcha,” he praises. “Makin’ a mess and I’ve barely touched ya.”
Your lip trembles and you bite down hard, willing it to keep still. His eyes catch your own and you watch his pupils dilate. You can see a blurry reflection of yourself in them, watching your face contort in pleasure as Simon presses up into you. Another whine pulls from your throat, the friction not enough. You needed more - you tried to wiggle in his grip but to no avail.
“What’sa matter?” he mocks, tone almost turning mean. “This not enough for ya?”
You shake your head, a hot flush running down your neck and into your chest.
“N-No,” you gasp as he thrusts his hips upwards again. “I need you, please.”
“Well, since you asked so nicely.” he coos, squeezing your hip lovingly.
Simon doesn’t even bother to move you, just pushes your panties to the side and brushes his fingers through your folds. Your slick pools down onto his fingers, making it easy for him to press two inside. They’re thick, causing you to tense for a moment before relaxing and letting him in.
“‘Atta girl,” he praises again before sliding his fingers back out to the tips before thrusting back in your warm heat.
You moan, releasing your grip on his shoulder as he fucks you with his fingers. His other hand keeps you steady as he lowers you down and back just a bit, almost seated at an angle on his lap. Both of your legs are spread on either side of his hips, hand braced on the bed to keep yourself steady. Simon curls his long fingers towards himself, pressing that spongey spot that has your knees going weak.
“S-Simon,” you gasp, knees buckling inwards towards themselves.
His hand leaves your hip momentarily to push them gently back to their original position, keeping your glistening folds on display just for him. A laugh punches itself out of his chest, almost restrained. It’s a beautiful sound, one you wish you could’ve heard sooner. Simon takes the pad of his thumb and swirls it around your clit. Pleasure burning in your stomach and down your legs, you cry out, orgasm squeezing a moan out of your lungs. You tremble as it ignites your nerves, breath quickening as the pleasure wrecks your body.
He doesn’t slow his fingers, keeps milking every last drop until your body has settled. There’s a slight sheen of sweat on your skin, illuminated by the golden hues of your bedside lamp. A low whistle carries out, faintly hitting your ears as you try to push yourself back up into a sitting position. Your legs are like jelly and Simon laughs again before helping you up.
His fingers absentmindedly brush back and forth on your hip as he hums, giving you a moment to recollect yourself. Pleasure has your joints relaxed, and your hip no longer burning with discomfort. Your eyes roll languidly, almost as if floating in syrup, to meet his own. He’s watching you again, taking you all in. You try to get a good look at him - a slight furrow in his brows, almost as if he’s always in thought. The mask hides most of his face but you can tell his nose is a bit crooked - possibly broken? You fight the urge to reach out and run your fingers across the bridge. There’s a small spattering of freckles peaking out from underneath the mask and you smile.
“What?” he asks, brows furrowing in confusion.
“Beautiful,” you whisper, smiling.
He huffs out a laugh, a small smile on his lips as he shakes his head. Hesitantly reaching out to place a hand on his shoulder, you give it a soft squeeze before you slide your hand down his chest and over the tented part of his scrubs. His eyes follow the trail, locking onto where your hand is slowly stroking up and down his length.
A shudder of a breath leaves his lips and his eyes fall shut. Touch-starved and desperate for more, Simon restrains himself from reaching out and flipping the two of you, wanting nothing more than to have you under him. He reminds himself to be careful with you.
You slide your hand into his pants, stroking him through his boxers. He’s fucking huge, filling your hand with his girth.
“Jesus,” you huff out in astonishment, a small laugh escaping past your lips.
“Too much to handle?” he quips, peeking one eye open to look at you.
“No!” you huff, biting your lip as you try to plan on how to begin.
“Here,” Simon sighs, taking both of your hands in one of his own while he shimmies out of his scrubs.
His cock strains against the confines of his boxers for a moment before he pulls them down too, finally letting it bounce against his stomach.
He’s oversized, pretty - creamy skin with a lush pink tip. It curves to the right just a bit and is leaking from being neglected for so long. You want to bend down and have a taste, mouth watering at the thought. Simon still has your hands on his own when he settles back down. You wriggle them free, wrapping your fingers around the base and stroking slowly up to the tip.
A low rumble of pleasure starts low in his chest, so you keep going, swiping your thumb over the tip. He’s super sensitive, length twitching in your hand as you tighten your grip. Simon’s lids are half closed, watching you languidly.
His hips act on their own accord, bucking into your hand to chase more pleasure. You’re transfixed - watching over and over as he fucks into your hand. The action has you clenching around nothing, wetness creeping down your thighs again. A whine creeps up your throat and you roll your hips slowly against his clothed thigh - unable to stop yourself.
“Just can’t get enough, can you?” he laughs, the sound getting interrupted by a moan as you squeeeeze your fingers tight around the base.
“Not fair,” he wheezes softly, hips stilled for a moment.
His thigh twitches, bumping up into your pussy, causing a spark of pleasure to pull in your core. Simon moves then, pulling his mask down and smashing his lips to yours. He leads the kiss, licking into your mouth with slow swipes of his tongue. You moan into his mouth, eyes falling closed and hands coming up to rest on his forearms. He tastes like Earl Grey and lingering tobacco. Simon moves his thigh up and down, the slick from your pussy drenching his pants. You whine against his lips, hips stuttering as pleasure overcomes you yet again.
“You comin’ again?” he asks with a laugh, smirking against your lips.
Your cheeks blaze furiously, tears pricking at your eyes as you come again. Simon kisses down your neck, biting down at the soft flesh above your collarbone. His arms wrap around your back, burying his face into the crook of your neck, and begins rolling your lower half up and down, up and down as you ride out your second orgasm against his thigh. You’re gasping for air, breath stuttering as pleasure squeezes your chest. All the stress forgotten as it washes over your body. You feel euphoric, the overwhelming release causing tears to fall down your face.
Simon shushes you quietly, rubbing soothing circles into your back as you come down again.
“There you go,” he coos. “Good…so good f’me.”
You sniffle, a laugh bubbling up and over your lips.
“Should’ve called you a lot sooner,” you joke.
He laughs loudly - the melodic sound filling the air.
“Mhmm…” he agrees, placing soft kisses on your overheated skin.
You tilt your head back, allowing him more access. Soft presses of lips to skin. It lights you on fire, desire tingling down to your toes. You arch up into his touch, sighing when his large hands caress your skin.
His thumbs brush across your nipples, stiffening them into peaks.
“Needy little thing…” he murmurs, sliding his hands down to the hem of your shirt to pull it up over your head.
Your shirt lays forgotten on the edge of your bed, you, bare except for your panties. A shiver runs down your spine, the cool air biting your skin. Simon shifts slightly, wrapping his hand around his cock and brushing the velvety tip through your folds. It catches on your entrance, slowly sinking into your pussy.
You moan, breath catching in your throat. His size stretches you open, causing your thighs to shake with exertion. Simon’s slow, allowing you to adjust before sliding you down another inch. His large hands keep you steady, squeezing the fat of your hips. There’s a moment of silence and that’s when you notice you’re trembling.
“S’okay,” he soothes, rolling his hips experimentally.
The tip bumps against your cervix - a mix of pain and pleasure.
“O-Oh,” you gasp, grasping at his shoulders for leverage.
Just like earlier, he has you pinned, stuck in pleasure as he slowly thrusts up into you. Your head falls back, arching your chest forward. Simon takes this opportunity to latch his mouth over your nipple. His tongue expertly runs over the bud, stiffening it yet again into a hard peak.
The sound of your bodies meeting echoes in your small room, the smell of sex heavy in the air. You clench around his length, wanting him even closer than physically possible.
“Bunny…” he warns, nipping at your jaw.
You laugh, pleasure blurring your mind’s worry. You can feel him in every thrust, thick cock bullying its way into your cervix. Simon’s pace has picked up, a steady motion of in out in out in out. You know he’s chasing his pleasure, large hands grabbing at your body ravenously. Itching to touch every part of your body, nothing left undiscovered by him.
He flips you quickly, your mind whirling from the sudden change of position. Simon steadies your hip, still so mindful as he pushes back in, the new angle causing your toes to curl.
“Ohmygod,” you cry out, breaths punched out of your lungs with every thrust.
Simon’s pace falters, growing sloppy as he chases his release. You clench around his cock and his hips stutter.
“Don’t ya fuckin’-“ he starts before you ignore him and do it again.
He curses, hips jolting as he comes.
“Fuck,” he moans, filling your pussy full.
You whine, the feeling overwhelming as he thrusts a few more times before slowly pulling out. A mixture of slick and him leaks down your thighs, cooling in the air. You grimace, going to sit up but Simon pushes you down. He gets up, walks to your bathroom, and grabs a washcloth to run under the warm water. It feels good on your skin as he cleans you up. He then grabs your shirt, picking you up to pull it over your head before gently laying you back down.
Your breathing has started to even, eyes closed as sleep threatens to pull you away. A cold feeling on your hip has you yelping - the salve. Simon has placed a generous amount on your skin, rubbing it in gently. Your eyes crack open to peek at him, he has his mask on again and you frown slightly - sad you weren’t able to see his face.
“Rest up dove, you still owe me,” he winks, leaning over and crawling back into bed with you.
As you start to drift, Simon pulls you close to his chest, warmth causing a slight shiver as you shift to get comfortable. He pulls a blanket over the two of you, warmth breath brushing your neck. His mask off once more. You smile, eyes fluttering shut as you snuggle down into the blankets, and the thought of how you were going to explain to your friend suddenly pops up. Shit. You couldn’t hide this from her.
“What should I say if she asks?” you mumble, almost half asleep.
“Hm..?” Simon rouses, nearly dozing himself.
“What do I tell her what happened this weekend?” you ask him.
“Tell her it was an emergency,” he laughs softly, pulling you closer as he rests his face into the crook of your neck.

Pain Relief - Mabel
Mabel Black Label x Reader
Summary: Mabel gets back from an intense day at work, and seeks comfort from her girlfriend.
Word Count: 800+
A/N: I’m back babies
Tumblr media
Look, dating someone in the Boston crime gang was never on your bucket list. Sure, you’ve read your fair share of enemies to lovers mafia fan fiction, but you’d never expect it to actually happen.
You were always a good kid, steered away from drugs and sketchy stoners. But Mabel, Mabel.
She was the most beautiful girl you’d ever laid eyes on. Tan skin and messy hair, it was never an option not to fall in love with her.
But in your defense, Mabel was nothing like the rest of them. She was kind, the most thoughtful soul you know, and inspiring in all aspects of her life.
She was put in a tricky situation since childhood, but she always made the most out of it and always strived to get out.
You knew she could be cold. Some of her friends referred to her as “Mabel Black Label”, but her cut-throat personality disappeared whenever she was with you. It was like she turned into this nicer, more exciting, wondrous person. Or at least, that’s how she felt.
So, when she didn’t come to see you as she’d promised, you knew something was wrong.
She had mentioned earlier that she was doing a big deal that night, and that she was going to come get you for your date right after.
By the time she called you, a little after midnight that exact night, you’d practically jumped up at the sight of her name across your phone.
Anxiety stirred deep within you.
You bit your nail as you answered the phone.
“Hey babe…” Her voice exhaled, shaky like she’d just run a mile and immediately called you.
“Baby? Where have you been? Are you alright?” You breathed, question after question tumbling out before she even had the chance to answer.
“Don’t be mad…I’m at your house now.” She says, slurring her words slightly.
You’re up and striding toward your door before she can even finish her sentence, heart racing a hundred miles a minute.
“Why would I be mad? God, Mabel, I swear you had me-“ You stop abruptly, taking in the sight before you.
She’s standing somewhat bashfully, rocking on her heels, the right side of her face facing away from you. You furrow your eyebrows, sensing immediately that something’s terribly wrong.
You reach out to tilt her face so you can see all of it, and your mouth falls open at the sight. Her face is beaten. Spilt lip and everything, the bruises that look like they’ve just been formed are already turning a different color. You grab her by the wrist and immediately drag her into your home. Your annoyance disappears instantaneously as you take her in again.
It’s so purple, you can’t help but reach out to graze your fingertips against it as she winces quietly.
“Oh, baby.” You sigh, hooking a finger under her chin so she looks into your eyes. She can’t meet your gaze, eyes flitting between your couch and the lamp, things she suddenly finds very interesting.
You get up and feel her hold on your wrist tighten, signaling to not go. You reassure her you’re only going to get the first aid kit, and you’ll be back in a minute.
Mabel begrudgingly lets you go, looking so small and fragile sitting there.
“Look at me.” You tell her, sternly, when you get back. You take the cotton bud and apply some alcohol, gently dabbing it against a cut on her lip.
She hisses, unable to keep the pain at bay. You tut, telling her you’re almost done. You know she needs some tough love in moments like these- she was never the best at receiving affirmations.
“Whatever happened…” You start, biting your lip, trying to grasp the right words. Mabel looks at you intently.
“I’m sure you did your best. And it definitely wasn’t your fault.” You know the way she works, better than you know yourself, and she blames herself for this. If anything didn’t go her way, she’d always get like this. You’s always loved the perfectionist type, after all.
Mabel opens her mouth to speak for the first time in what feels like eternities.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry I couldn’t- couldn’t get here on time for the date.” She blubbers, tears spilling out of her eyes.
You hold her for a while before you chuckle lightly, and watch as she looks up in surprise, eyebrows raised.
“I could care less about our date. What I care about is that you’re alive.” You tell her, cupping the side of her face that isn’t bruised. Your other hand pressed against her chest, right where her heart is.
Her eyes soften, turning into those big brown puppy-like eyes you love so much. And you can feel it before she says it.
“I love you.” She says as she takes your lips in a fierce kiss, surprising but not at all unwelcome. You happily lean in, kissing her like she might disappear tomorrow.
You lose yourself in the moment, push against her a little too hard, and she winces.
“Shit, sorry.” You mumble sheepishly. She pecks you on the lips again before whispering huskily.
“You know…I heard kisses help with pain. I think you should help me out over here.” She points to her split lip, eyes suddenly twinkling.
The twinkle in your eye doesn’t fail to match hers.
“I suppose I could help out someone unwell…it’s the right thing to do anyway.” You say with a little nod, though neither of you is listening to what you’re saying at this point.
“Right.” She grins, grabbing you by the nape of your neck and into her arms.
Even like this, bruised and bloody, you’re proud to say, that Mabel Black Label, your girlfriend, never fails to charm the pants off of you.

MASTERLIST | NEXT

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
being bada's best friend would be the death of you, you were calling it right now.
she wasn't a bad friend by any means, quite the opposite actually. from the late night talks that would last until the early mornings before you both passed out, the tiny, sentimental gifts she would randomly get for you without expecting anything in return, to the way she would hold you, god, she was perfect. you loved everything about her.
but, that was the problem, wasn't it? you loved her. and a part of you wants to blame her for making it so easy, falling for her, but you know that would be unfair. not only because she wasn't leading you on or anything, but also because she couldn't do any wrong in your eyes.
everytime your heart fluttered at one of her actions, it would sink just as quickly. she's doing this as a friend, you would always remind yourself. but your not so friendly reminders didn't stop you from hoping. for something more, that one day, miracously, bada would realise that she was in lo–
"what's got you so worried?" you were pulled out of your daily dose of dramatic reality checking by none other than bada. her head was in your lap, she stared up at you with a look that you could only describe as... content. comfortable. and so, so beautiful.
"huh?" you answered, having not heard her clearly, too busy being in your head instead of in the real world, where unfortunately, you belonged.
she raised her arm and pressed on the space between your eyebrows, a small pout on her face. "you're frowning. what's wrong, pretty?"
the nicknames. the fucking. nicknames.
pretty, gorgeous, baby, love, honey. it was things like that made you believe, even if just for a moment, that she knew that you liked her, loved her, and was just toying with you for enjoyment.
you'd feel guilty everytime you had that thought. she wouldn't. not to you, not to anyone, not ever.
"it's nothing, really. I'm just in a mood today." you shrugged, hoping that she would, for your sake, take your half-hearted explanation and leave it there.
she nodded, clearly unconvinced, but moved one nonetheless. "do you still wanna go to the club tonight? we can cancel and spend the night together instead." she offered, lifting her head off of your lap in favour of placing it on your shoulder, waiting for your answer.
"no, we can still go, we'll just come back here together. we've blown off our friends enough times, I'm starting to feel bad." you joked, and once again, the atmosphere was light and airy. with that settled, you both stood up, trying to find something to wear for the nights activities.
you walked into her closet, sprinkled with tops and skirts from your own, almost laughing at the absurdity of the situation. for someone who claimed that being around bada was painful, your personal stamp on her home sure made it hard to believe.
"how's this?" you said for what felt like the 29th time to bada (it was only the third) as you spun around for her, showing off one of your options for the night.
she sat at the edge of the bed, ready to go about 20 minutes before you, as she usually was. her head was tilted back, staring at the ceiling as she waited patiently for you to finally choose something to wear.
you tried not to stare at her neck, which she made easier for you by finally looking at you, tilting her head to the side as she inspected your outfit.
"I was gonna say its looks as good as the other two because you look amazing in anything and everything, but... I like this one. a lot."
the way she looked at you when she said that, with her bottom lip between her teeth, stayed with you as you walked to the club together, hand in hand. did she really have no idea how much she affected you? you weren't sure if you hoped that she didn't, or did.
but you weren't going to think of that tonight. you were going to drink, and dance, and hang out with your friends, and not let bada affect you. if only for just one night.
okay, maybe you had had one too many drinks by now, but you weren't drunk just yet. it was still the normal you, just with a few tweaks. a little less shame here, a little more confidence here, nothing too major.
you were half in minah's lap and half in tatters, singing obnoxiously, almost as loud as the song blasting from the speakers. you weren't even thinking of bada... wait, where the hell was bada?
you squinted your eyes as they darted across the dance floor, hopelessly trying to locate her in the dim lighting of the club. but you didn't have to look for long, because she was headed back to your table, a smile painted on her face.
you stood up, suprisingly not stumbling as you walked up to her, wrapping your arms around her shoulders. "where were you?" you shouted over the music, wearing a curious expression.
she bit her lip excitedly before speaking into your ear, sending involuntary shivers down your spine. damn you and your natural charm, bada.
"I met a girl." you didn't mean for your face to drop in the way that it did, but from the looks of it, bada didn't even notice. if she did, then she didn't mention it.
"she actually wants to come over to my place..." bada trailed off, sending you a pleading look, a certain lust-driven glee shining in her eyes.
"oh." you said flatly before you could stop yourself, moving your arms away from her and crossing them over your chest.
she quickly wrapped her arms around your middle, squeezing while pleading her case in an effort to soften the blow. it doesn't help, not one bit.
"I know we were supposed to have a binging marathon, but please baby? just this once? I'll make it up to you real good, you know I always do." 'because I always let you.' you wanted to add, but you bit your tongue, you weren't feining for a fight with bada right about now.
you sigh, your arms hanging limply by your sides. "okay. I'll just crash at lushers'." you fight the urge to gag as she squeals in excitement, at the prospect of spending the night with someone who isn't you.
she gave you a curious look, most likely sensing your jealousy apprehension, her arms still around you, feeling more suffocating than comforting at that moment.
"...are you sure?" no. I'm not, don't go with her.
you nodded furiously, removing her arms from your frame, and turning her around, pushing her toward the dance floor where she had left her pursuit for the night. "go, she'll think you're blowing her off if you keep talking to me."
"are you actually, super, one hundred percent certain that I can go with her?" she pushed you further, and you knew that she knew that you weren't really all that okay with it.
but what was the point? you could easily sway her into sticking to the original plan, but she would've spent the whole night daydreaming about what could've been with the mysterious girl at the club. you didn't want to deal with that. you were tired of feeling like a second choice.
you wanted her to choose you, because she wanted to choose you. not because you asked her to.
'no, I'm not sure. I don't want you to go with her. I want you to choose me for once. choose me.' you screamed in your own mind, but all that could be seen on the outside was you smiling the best you could at bada, nodding once more before walking back to where the rest of your group sat, downing the drink in front of you.
you didn't know if it was even yours, but it didn't matter to you right now.
minah noticed your sudden change in mood, holding your hand in hers in a silent attempt to comfort you. you squeezed it as means of expressing gratitude, you didn't wanna talk about it.
but, you didn't need to. she knew, and if the downright pitiful looks the rest of the group were throwing your way were anything to go by, it seemed that everyone else knew too.
you wanted to leave, so you left. lusher had no problem going home early with you, she could tell that you weren't in a good headspace. you left with lushers arms around you, half to make sure that you didn't stumble, and half to try to make you feel a little better.
you left with a bitter taste in your mouth, and not from the shitty drinks you were downing.
you left without saying goodbye to bada, which you never did. she waved when she saw you by the door, that big smile still evident even in the dark lighting.
you didn't wave back.
a/n: this wasn't planned, and I wrote it in a day, but I hope you guys like it. also, doing a bada series and and a bada smau at the same time isn't my brightest idea, but fuck it, we ball.

"Broken", Not Stupid - 11: Johnny!
Pairing: alpha!Simon "Ghost" Riley x unusual omega!OC (13)
CW: Oemgaverse; cult-like situation; dehumanization; selling children to a cult
Author's Note: Ope, forgot to add this- just wanted to drop a reminder that 13 has an ask blog now! @ask13-cod :D she'll ocassionally reblog bits of her story but will mostly be answering any asks <3 currently she's open to name suggestions!
Tumblr media
"Johnny can be... a lot."
Simon's voice pulls me from my thoughts and I turn to look at him.
"Is that why you're so worried about making sure I'm ok with having him there today?"
"Yeah, mostly. That and you've only recently met me. Another alpha so soon could be a lot." He pauses, glancing at me. "If he gets to be too much, just let me know."
"I'm capable of setting my own boundaries," I snort, smilng. "But I understand why you're offering. It's your job as my alpha and all that."
Just as I turn to face the road again, I see Simon's forehead crease. Did I say something wrong? It is his job as my alpha to step in where I can't. Why is saying that out loud upsetting?
Eh. He'll bring it up if it's really a problem.
But what if I truly upset him?
The omega in my head paws at her enclosure and I scowl slightly. I am so not in the mood for her today so I push her back further.
Tumblr media
What the hell do they feed these guys?!
"Johnny," the Scotsman grins down at me as he greets me. "Nice to meet you, 13."
"It's nice to meet you too," I greet him from slightly behind Simon.
I'm not entirely sure why I'm back here, honeslty. Johnny seems really nice. Even if he seems a bit like he's buzzing with energy - as expected from what Simon said earlier.
"Alright?" Simon asks me as soon as Johnny's attention is drawn to a candy wall in the shop.
"Yes?"
"What's wrong?" Simon insists, eyebrows creasing together just enough to notice.
"I don't know? Just... nervous, I guess?" I offer hesitantly.
Maybe it's the knowledge that this is Simon's best friend and I'm supposed to be Simon's omega so there's this... need for approval.
No.
No, absolutely not. I don't need anyone's approval. What the hell was that? Damn omega brain.
"I'm fine. What's our first to-do?"
Simon studies me quietly for a moment before nodding toward the rest of the shop.
"Figured you might want to find yourself some clothes of your own. There's a few shops available for it, and for supplies for your nest. I'm not sure when you'll start your-"
"We can talk about that later and not in public," I cut him off abruptly and glance around the shop to see if anybody noticed what he was on about.
"Understood," he says with a firm nod. "I'm not good with fashion, but if you'd like input I can try."
I shrug at him and wander toward the nearest rack of clothes to slowly flip through them. This shop is full of... bright colors. Nothing is really catching my interest, honestly, but I continue looking just in case.
Toward the back of the store, there's a small circle rack of light grey tshirts. I begin thumbing through the different prints before coming across a tshirt with a white crescent moon printed on it. A smile spreads across my face as I hold it up. It's has a light and soft, cotton-y texture and the sleeves are cuffed.
"This one," I say with a bright smile.
"Pastels not your thing?" Johnny asks from next to Simon.
I shake my head, still smiling as I admire the shirt.
"Not really," I agree and turn toward Simon. "Can I get-"
"Anything that'll make you more comfortable," he says quickly, almost like he wouldn't hear any argument about what I get or, more accurately, don't get. "There's a shop next door with far less pastels. We'll get this one and find you some more options, yeah?"
"Thank you," I tell him, sincerity thick in my voice.
"Ah, don't be like that, lass! He's just doing his best and making sure you're all set up. Right, Simon?" Johnny says just before getting nudged in the ribs and glared at by Simon.
When Simon turns back to me, his expression - what I can see of it - is softer than usual. There's usually a neutrality to all of him with the occassional crinkle in the corner of his eyes from what I assume is a smile. In this moment he seems... genuinely happy. Maybe even content.
That's good.
I think?

So after obsessing over Arachnis Prime and reading @sonicasura's bat Optimus idea I just was really, really digging it and was inspired to make my own AU similar to it
So basically in this AU both Optimus and Elita fall back into the cavern; Elita's power times out like in canon but Optimus manages to catch her as she's falling. The issue is all that does is put too much sudden weight and tension on his grappling hook causing it to pull out of the rock and send them both tumbling down. The explosion separates the two of them, sending Optimus even deeper in. While Elita becomes Blackarachnia as she does in canon, during and after her change she's looking for Optimus to see if he survived, eventually finding him in a terrible state. He'd run into the cavern's other denizens, massive vampiric and carnivorous bats. He managed to fight off and kill a few but not without serious damage, bordering on death.
In a bid to save him, but also for the selfish reason of not wanting to be a freak alone, she makes him a techno-organic like herself. From there, Optimus lives up to his name for the first little while, practicing with his new alt and eventually managing to fly out of the cavern to watch for any Autobot ships, believing Sentinal will surely come back with or at least send help since he didn't come back for them originally, eventually realizing that Blackarachnia is right, no one is coming.
Well, no Autobots at least. The two get picked up by the Decepticons, Optimus being very much not about the idea but following Blackarachnia almost blindly as he still sees Elita-1 in her and basically owes her his life.
From there it's kind of all over. For a good bit he kinda just follows her around like a puppy and follows her commands; after all initially the idea is for them to return to how they once were, but eventually, Optimus will realize that Blackarachnia is no longer his beloved friend and something will happen to cause him to finally turn on her and split off into his own thing, of what I'm not sure; honestly, it'll more than likely be a build-up of things instead of one big thing.
There's also the debate of how Optimus deals with the Decepticons and basically being one for a while. On the one hand, I like sonicasura's idea of him just being a victim of circumstance. He's not a Decepticon, or in this case, he's only a Decepticon in name, he's just a man who's trying to deal with his current situation the best he can while sticking to his morals and general worldview.
On the other hand, I like the idea of Optimus realizing the flaws and downright failings of Autobot society and becoming a Decepticon for real. He doesn't agree with their morals and what they do a lot of the time, but the ideals Megatron puts forth? He can get behind those, especially since he and Elita were failed by the system they followed so doggedly while Sentinal abandoned them (as far as he's aware) and potentially still gets 'rewarded' (given the rank of Prime and his own team; Optimus would not know he's delegated to bridge repair until later if at all)
More than likely he might fall into a third option of neither, where he abandons the Decepticons like Blackarachnia does but refuses to rejoin the Autobots because of the whole debacle, likely hiding away with the Dinobots on their island.
Also as you've likely noticed I haven't quite come up with Optimus' new name? I'm partial to Chiropteras, as Chiroptera is the order bats are from. I considered going with Optimus Primal since Blackarachnia is also from Beast Wars and a lot of people used/use Tarantulas for spider Optimus before Arachnus Prime was revealed, but my biggest thing is in TFA Prime isn't technically anything special, it's just a rank, so why would he still be Prime or even make it Primal? Unless he's giving himself the rank because he feels he deserves it/is bastardizing it for his own use. I could also potentially use the name of another bat transformer in the way that Tarantulas is the name of a Predacon from Beast Wars but none of them really fit? Cause there's Nightscream, Sonar, and Nyx (and technically Noctorro but he's a bat and a bull). I could use Nocturne or Nocturnus, too.
Lemme know what y'all think?

The Shapeshifting Detective - Part 9 (Final Part)
cw: parental death, grief
male shapeshifter x fem character
word count: 2k
Part 1  Part 2  Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 (Final Part)
She woke up tucked into her bed. Quite literally, actually. The blankets were pushed under her on all sides, so tight she almost felt like she was being held down.
Vincent was at her side, looking down at her nervously as she took stock of her situation.
She squirmed a little bit, freeing the covers from her enough that she managed to sit up, head spinning as she did.
Immediately there was a cup of water being thrust at her, his eyes flitting nervously across her face as he handed it to her.
“I didn’t know how often humans needed to drink,” he blurted out. “You normally do it a lot but you’ve been passed out for a day and Evelyn said you’d be fine but you looked so pale.”
She took the water gratefully, just now noticing how dry her mouth felt.
It took her too long to realize he still looked like Harvey.
He gave her a sheepish laugh when she pointed it out with a quiet, “You’re still him,” before she took a sip from the glass.
“Yeah, maybe that was a bad decision. I think it was the face I had that I thought would be least upsetting to you? Not that his face isn’t upsetting to you, I just don’t really have the best options. Other than using a stranger, and I imagine that would also be upsetting to you when you woke up. A stranger at your bedside, I mean.”
She shrugged. “I think I would’ve known. It’s getting easier to tell.”
He didn’t manage to fight back the grin that broke out across his face, though she watched him try. “Right, of course you would have.”
A silence fell for a moment as Vincent fought to regain a mostly neutral expression and Kate looked aimlessly around the room, taking stock of the place she’d lived in for all her life.
“Where’s Anne?” she asked, eyes lingering on her dresser, with the items atop it laid slightly awry.
He gave her a pitying look and her heart sunk at the sight. She knew what it meant.
“She left,” he said. “She said it wasn’t the right place for her anymore. I tried to convince her to stay, to at least say goodbye, but she seemed set on it.”
So she finally did it. She ran off, just forgot about all of this and left her behind.
Kate nodded. “As she should. She’d got a good head on her.”
“She shouldn’t have left you,” Vincent said quietly.
“And there’s a lot of things I shouldn’t have done either. Sometimes that’s how things go, it seems.”
He looked like he wanted to argue but knew he shouldn’t, knew it would only make things worse.
Offhandedly, watching the discontent on his face, she whispered, “I think I loved her.”
He gave her a gentle smile. “I think you did too.”
After a moment's contemplation, he spoke again, this time more tentatively. “I could try to help, you know. I could be her, let you say goodbye, maybe get some closure.”
She shook her head. “No, I don’t want you to be anyone else. Just stay.”
She watched his face flush and then watched him become embarrassed at the fact that he’d blushed, burying his head in his hands.
“I’m sorry,” he muttered. “This is a horrible situation and I don’t think I’m helping.”
“You are helping,” she insisted.
He looked dubious but he took her at her word, pushing onwards. “Do you want to go see your mother? I can arrange it so they’ll let you.”
She shook her head, steadfast and firm. “No. I need to be done with this. I can’t see her, at least not now. Maybe not ever. I don’t know.”
He nodded, moving as if to reach for her hand before stopping and pulling it back towards himself. “You don’t have to know. If you ever want to, she’ll be there.”
And then a knock echoed through the house and they both started at the sudden noise, a little of the water she was still clutching in her hands spilling onto the sheets as she did.
Vincent scrambled to find something to clean it with, the door clearly not being his first priority.
Kate, on the other hand, couldn’t help but wonder who would want to see her. She couldn’t think of anyone she knew who would. Maybe it was someone to see about the family’s state of affairs, or to handle a further investigation in regards to her mother.
As she thought and Vincent looked for a loose handkerchief she knew he was unlikely to find, another knock sounded, this time right outside of her door.
Vincent’s eyes widened and he stumbled backward, throwing a regretful look her way.
He tucked himself away in some corner faster that she could mouth a silent, “It’s alright.” She’d have to tell him later, after she sent this mystery visitor away.
In lieu of another knock, a familiar voice sounded from outside the door. “Katherine? Can I come in? I need to see you.”
And then Daniel opened the door and entered the room without waiting for a response and she got up from her bed with a huff, grateful that she was still in the clothes she’d passed out in and not in her nightgown.
“You should not be here,” she said, her voice sharp as she did her best to leave no room for questioning.
He ignored her, a frantic look in his eyes.
“I think we should get married,” he announced, the words spoken too loudly, echoing off the walls, ringing in Katherine’s ears.
“And I think you should leave.” She stood as she spoke, trying her best to look dignified. It was a difficult feat to achieve after having just woken up from being passed out for a day.
His brow furrowed. “No, we need to do this now, you do not have much time left. You should hear the rumors spreading about you already.”
“I do not care what they are saying,” she said, taking a firm step towards him, forcing him to move back towards the door. “And it is none of your concern.”
“I will bring you security,” he said, apparently attempting to bargain with her for her hand.
She saw it in his eyes, saw how nervous he looked, and instantly recognized what he really meant. It was the other way around, of course it was.
He was scared and he knew her. That’s all he needed, just anything safe and familiar. He needed something to go according to plan and she was his plan.
But she couldn’t be that anymore. She couldn’t be someone’s security blanket, withering away after being chosen just because she was there.
“I’ll think about it,” she spat as she turned and fled, feet kicking out in long steps as she ran to fight against tripping on her skirts.
She ran and she ran, just trying to get away from the house.
She’d have to live there. She hadn’t even thought that far, hadn’t considered what that would mean.
She’d be expected to move to the master bedroom. To sleep in her parents' bed, the bed they lay in as they loathed each other. The bed her mother had been brought to the brink in, forced to sleep aside the man she loathed.
She wondered if her father had ever brought his mistress there. She wondered if her mother even would have cared.
She doubted it.
She was barely aware of where she was until she was looking out at the river.
It felt like the last time she’d been here had been lifetimes ago. It was before any of this had really begun, before her father’s death had even fully occurred to her. Before she knew her mother’s heart, knew the fate that was slowly but surely closing in on her.
It was before she’d known about Vincent, although he’d known her. Better than most ever had.
Of course, he’d been Daniel at the time. And she’d still been angry.
Maybe she still was angry. She wasn’t entirely sure she knew how to stop.
The sound of footsteps crunching loose rocks underfoot filled her ears and she felt her shoulders sag, some of her tension bidding her farewell for a few moments.
She knew who it was. She didn’t even have to look, not that looking would have helped.
He was still wearing Harvey’s face when he found her by the river.
She remembered the last time, when he was Daniel and she felt like someone cared for the first time in a long time.
She supposed someone had.
His voice was low and calm. Even if it hadn’t been, she knew it would have soothed her. “I could stay, you know,” he said, in that horrible cruel voice that he managed to turn kind as he borrowed it.  “If you wanted me to.”
“What about Harvey?”
“Evelyn has been trying to convince me to let her ship him off, put him on a boat where they’ll find him after they set sail and hope he never comes back. He probably would come back, eventually, but that’s a matter for later.”
She thought on it and knew that even with him there, this would still be a prison. “I don’t want you to stay.”
She watched him try and fail to hide the way he absolutely crumpled at her words. “Oh. Of course, whatever you’d like…”
“I don’t think I want to stay either,” she said, her words tinged with fear.
She didn’t think it was fear of leaving, not anymore. The thing that sparked a primal fear inside of her was staying, of getting swept under by the same current that had taken her mother. She could brave a thousand unknown horizons if it meant never feeling that, never looking at a daughter she loved and knowing that she would be dragged under all the same.
His head perked up. “What?”
“I’ve had enough of this place. Of these people. For years I’ve been talking about running off, it was about time I bucked up and did it. I will not become my mother.”
He almost seemed like he didn’t believe her. Like he was too scared to.
A wry, disbelieving chuckle escaped him. “Anne left a day too early.”
She laughed, a real one, at the idea that this was anything like what she and Anne had pretended to actually want and at the hope that still wormed its way into his tone. “Anne never really meant it. Neither of us did. I think that’s part of what scared her off, I stopped being too frightened to do anything.”
It wasn’t true, not really. She hadn’t stopped being frightened. The other fears had just gotten bigger, the fear of leaving barely seeming like anything anymore.
“Where are you going to go?” she asked, focusing on keeping her voice level, no expectation laced within it.
He shrugged. “I think Evelyn is leaving again, I’ll probably just follow her. It’s what I usually do.”
“But you were gonna stay with me?”
“I could probably convince her to hang around for a while.”
“And when a while passed”
He always seemed so shy when pressed like this, eyes glancing up at her and then darting back away when their gazes met. “I don’t know. I always wanted to settle down, I think she’d understand. I’m not even sure she’d pretend to put up a fight if I told her you were coming with us, she knows how badly I’ve wanted this. Wanted someone.” she saw the hope shining in his eyes, even as they looked away from her. “Evelyn just wants to keep moving, I think without me to drag her down she’d never stop.”
“You don’t drag her down,” she insisted immediately.
“Don’t I?”
“No,” she insisted, absolutely certain of it. “You anchor her, maybe, but you could never drag her down.”
“What’s the difference?”
“You’d never drag someone down. I don’t think you have it in you. I think you’d drown yourself trying to help someone else swim.”
“She says that too,” he said fondly. “She worries about me too much, I think. Maybe that’s what drags her down then, all that worry. That’s something I like about you. You don’t worry about me. You trust me to do things, trust that I won’t mess them all up.”
She stared at him, watched him refuse to meet her gaze, kicking at the rocks under his feet. It tended to take a couple of tries to move the rock how he wanted it, still unfamiliar limbs not quite cooperating with him.
Somewhere in her, she knew it was the wrong thing to say. And yet still, the words, “I do worry about you,” escaped her mouth.
He deflated as they did. “Right. Of course you do. That’s fine, I can prove myself. I don’t know what you guys talked about but it’s going to be different, I’m not going to mess up anything this time. I could be a really good human, I promise I could.”
“It’s not that,” she swore, and she could tell that he didn’t believe her. “I think it just comes with loving someone.”
His head snapped up, eyes wide and locked onto hers.
He blinked, slowly and carefully, and part of her wished they weren’t Harvey’s eyes looking back at her.
She wished she remembered what he truly looked like better, that her perception of him hadn’t been so colored by fear.
She’d see him again, she decided, and she would meet him with softness.
She wasn’t sure anyone had given him that before.
“I worry about you too,” he said, his voice fragile.
She smiled, blinking away tears as she leaned over and took his hand.
It shook slightly beneath hers, his palm warm and his fingers curled tentatively around hers.
He squeezed her hand, trying to create some semblance of reassurance for her, despite his obvious nerves.
And that proved to be too much. Tears escaped her suddenly, emotions overwhelming her as she looked up at someone she’d know in any body and watched him give himself to her.
Her knees felt weak but before she could think to move, his arms were engulfing her, pulling her face into his chest, holding her up without her so much as asking.
She felt the dampness in her hair of his own tears falling and held him harder, giving him all the comfort she could with weak arms.
She wasn’t sure how long they stood there, on that shore, holding one another up. All Kate knew was that when they left, they left together.

When it comes to world building in miraculous, which do you think is better a world where the miraculous are the only source of power or a world where magic and power is every where like marvel and DC ( I know it depends on what the writers want but)
---
As a storyteller, I will always pick the option with more potential stories, unless I’m trying to challenge myself by limiting my scope on purpose. The Miraculous, as they are used in the show, are very limiting. Their only benefit is that, much like with X-Men’s mutant powers, anyone can get superpowers, so you can easily create heroes, allies, enemies or anything in between. But, like, imagine if who got mutant powers was actually decided by Professor X, while all the villains were just temporarily brainwashed and granted powers by Magneto. Man, sounds like I just made X-Men boring and very limited.
I’m a longtime enjoyer of the superhero genre and I think I know a thing or two about its appeal, and that's often the villains. Your villains can often be almost as, if not just as, important as your hero. With a well-built rogues gallery of villains you can create foils that really make your hero shine. Reflected against their villains, your hero can showcase their strengths and weaknesses, the concessions they’re willing to make for the greater good and what their idea of justice even is. Most importantly, you can show where your hero's hard line goes, what moral line they'll never cross.
Any time Marinette is presented with a moral hard line in the show, she somersaults over it. The most she’ll do is close her eyes while doing it to make it look like it’s a hard decision. And, like, none of the breaks of any kind of moral code are prompted by the villain cornering her, putting her in a desperate situation where she has to choose her morals or saving the day. Most of the worse stuff she does has no villain in sight, like anything she did to Sublime. Because the show has no rogues’ gallery, Marinette is often the villain of the episode, causing the problems, while also acting as the hero who’s the only one who can save the day, but the intended audience reaction is to still mainly view her as the hero who just sometimes messes up.
Miraculous needed a proper rogues gallery three seasons ago. This could have been accomplished by making the Miraculous distribution more random, like having them get blown away into different parts of Paris, or simply by doing something with the idea of multiple sources of superpowers. With multiple power sources for villains, retrieving the Butterfly Miraculous wouldn’t be an instant game over for the series, making the heroes’ failure not a given. But no, the more varied power sources are strictly for the specials and nothing more.
The writers most likely intended their approach to be the best of both worlds, treating the Miraculous as the only source of powers in the show while doing more varied stuff in the specials, but, in practise, it’s wasteful. These Special characters are little more than one-offs and references to better superhero media. Miraculous' "best of both worlds" is the worse of both worlds, wasting both ideas by presenting them with a way too limited scope.
I actually thought Gabriel getting the Miraculouses in the season 4 finale was going to have him distributing them to his allies or scoundrels, causing more varied problems for episodes. I thought the show might actually get interesting at least in some aspects. But instead he gave half of them to new Akumas and half of them to return Akumas, who could be cool villains if they popped up more than twice in six years.

Part 4
Part 5
——————————
It’s the week of Thanksgiving and you are going back to Michigan to see your family. This had been planned since August so before you and Jessica Rabbit got together. You didn’t know who was more sad about not being together for your first holiday as a couple.
You were taking a personal day on Wednesday to fly out early and be with your family as much as possible for the short trip home. Of course that meant the redhead couldn’t take you to the airport and see you off because it was the last day of school before break and this made her even more upset. You actually had your first fight about it.
“I’ll take a personal day too and then I can take you to the airport.” Mel said over dinner.
You stopped eating and put down your utensils. “Honey, you know the district is having a sub shortage. And think of your kids, they all will want to say bye to you on the last day.” You say hoping that logic will have her drop the topic.
“But I need to take you to the airport and do the sappy cry fest goodbye before you go through security.” She says looking at you with those puppy dog eyes.
“Mel, I don’t need you to do anything for me. Would it be nice if you could yes, but it’s not a good option so it’s fine I’m a big girl and I can get an Uber.” You say to her and as soon as it’s out of your mouth you wish you could take it back.
She looks at you with disbelief. “Why is it so bad to need me (Y/N)? Do you know how terrifying it is for me to admit to myself let alone to you that I need you. I could’ve easily denied that I need you but I’d be lying to myself just like you’re lying to yourself!” She exclaims and then the tears start flowing down her cheeks.
And then you realize that you’re the asshole in this situation.
You get up and walk towards her slowly to gage where she’s at. Fuck it, you need to hold her and apologize and do whatever it takes to make sure she’s okay.
“Baby I am so sorry. I didn’t mean it, I promise. My mouth and my defense mechanisms got the best of me. If I’m being honest I’m more upset about not being together over break than I’m letting on and I’m just trying to be fine about the whole thing. I know shoving difficult shit down always leads to hurting myself or someone I love. I think I was just trying to protect you from seeing how upset I actually am because I knew it’d make you feel more upset. I shouldn’t have lashed out at you like that and I sincerely apologize. In the future I’ll just tell you how I’m really feeling so it doesn’t build up.” You say looking at her, you holding her hand, your thumb stroking the top of her hand. You stand up and grab a couple tissues and hand them to her.
She wipes her eyes and then gently pulls you onto her lap.
“I forgive you angel, I know you’d never intentionally hurt me. You never have to hide from me. I want to see every part of you. Especially when you’re really upset because I know I won’t be able to fix it most times but I know with certainty that I will love you through it and sit by your side and listen and hold you through it. You just gotta let me in so I can do that. I promise I’m not going anywhere, you’re forever stuck with me. You just have to trust me.” The redhead says softly.
You feel a couple tears slide down your cheeks. You wipe them away and then lean your forehead against hers. “Thank you for forgiving me. I just want to tell you that I do need you. I’m not saying it just to say it I really truly mean it. I need all of you and like you said, it’s really scary admitting that. There’s this part of me that if I say I need you that somehow you’ll end up thinking that I’m incapable, which I know sounds ridiculous. But when one of the top assumptions about me is that I am incapable to do most things because of my disabilities, it’s something that’s always in the back of my mind.” You explain as you play with her hair.
“Oh honey. I didn’t even think about that. That makes so much sense. I know I keep saying this to you but I’ll say it again you (Y/N) (Y/L/N) are my superwoman, you’re the most stubborn, independent, get shit done woman I know, and I know that you can do and get anything you want to…well maybe not cooking.” She chuckles and kisses your head. “But when you let me take care of you, when you let yourself need me it makes me feel so special because you’re so selective about who you let in. Whenever you’re having those thoughts you just need to tell me. And then I’ll remind you how amazing I think you are, how I know you can do whatever it is that I’m doing for you and that it’s okay to let your amazing woman take care of you and need me in that moment. Besides I will always be the needier one out of the two of us, cause you’re just irresistible.” She says smiling at you.
You lean in and give her a long slow desire filled kiss. When you break away she has a big smirk on her face. “We’ve had a lot of sex but we still haven’t had makeup sex yet. Do you think you are up for checking that off our firsts list tonight?” She purs into your ear.
You mirror her smirk. “I think I’m up for our first makeup session.”
“But this is a rare occasion kind of thing miss. Fighting is not who we are. We just need to remember to talk to each other about the hard shit. You’re my safe place and I’m yours, whatever we’re facing we do it together.” She says and you nod in agreement.
Before you know what’s happening she’s takes you in her arms and she stands up and carries you to the bedroom. She lays you on the bed and then she starts undressing you, when she’s done with you she starts undressing herself but slowly to tease you, it’s working and just spikes your desire for her.
You prop yourself up on your arms so you can get a better look at the strip tease she’s doing for you. She finishes by taking off her black lace panties that she knows drive you wild. And then before you know what’s happening she’s on top of you and is kissing you with such desire. Her tongue licks your lips for permission to enter and of course you let her tongue slide into your mouth and dance with your tongue, and you moan into the kiss.
She breaks away for air, and looks down at you like you are the most beautiful thing she’s ever seen. She then goes to your neck and starts kissing, sucking and nibbling, you both know that she’s marking her territory.
Melissa knows and loves how independent you are but she also has this possessive side where you are hers and everyone needs to know it, hence her marking you everywhere possible. And you’re not gonna lie, you think this side of her is so hot! You love that she wants everyone to know that you belong to her.
She works her way down to your boobs, and then she’s licking your nipple and sucking it and you let a stifled moan fall from your lips. She takes your chin in her hand and gets you to look at her.
“I want to hear that gorgeous moan of yours, nice and loud.” She instructs seductively.
She then goes to the other boob and works wonders with that gorgeous mouth of hers. “Fuck Mel!” You moan as your hands grip the sheets.
“There’s my good girl sounding so gorgeous for me.” She says praising you.
She then proceeds to kiss all the way down your stomach and your legs and then she gently licks all the way up and down your folds. Your moans fill the room.
“You’re already so wet for me princess, such a good girl wanting me to fuck you so badly.” She says as she looks at you between your legs.
She then slides her tongue inside you and your hips immediately start grinding against her mouth and your hands go to her hair. She starts rubbing circles on your clit and you feel the heat starting to rise as an orgasm begins to form.
“Oh my god Mel, yes I’m almost there!” You exclaim.
And then she pulls away and gets off the bed.
“What the actual fuck??!!” You whine looking to see what she’s doing. She goes into her closet, rummages around in there and then comes back out wearing the strap.
And you feel a whole different type of desire building inside your pussy.
She gets back on the bed and climbs on top of you. She hovers over your face and then leans down to kiss you softly.
“I’m sorry I left ya high and dry, I just thought that makeup sex needed to involve me strapping you.” She says in a soft but confident tone. All you can do is nod.
She starts rubbing the strap on your pussy as well as taking your juices and putting it on the strap so it’ll enter you with ease. She looks at you for permission to enter and you nod.
She knows that you need her to be gentle and go slowly as she starts. She pushes slowly inside of you and you gasp because having her fill you feels so god damn good. She starts pumping in and out slowly at first as she moves so that you’re face to face again, she takes your hands and places them above your head and then intertwines her fingers with yours as she leans down and kisses you deeply and you both can’t help but moan.
“You’re being such a good girl and taking me so well. You look so beautiful with me filling you.” She whispers to you.
“I’m so close Mel! Fuck!” You yell out.
“Me too baby.” She pants as she thrusts in and out of you. She can tell from your face that you’re about to cum. She thrusts in you a few more times and then says “Cum for me, my beautiful girl.” And you cum all over the strap and she cums seconds later. And then collapses on top of you as you both come down from your orgasms.
“You my dear are truly my sex goddess.” You say as you smile at her laying on your chest.
“Good, then I’m doing my job.” She says softly and winks at you.
“I love ya, ya know.” You say as you stroke her head and kiss her temple.
“I know baby, I love you so much.” She says as she reaches up and caresses your face.
“I would say that’s the best makeup sex I’ve ever had.” You say with a big smile.
“I would definitely agree. But like I said, makeup sex is occasional at most. I hate fighting with you.” She says looking up at you with those puppy dog eyes.
“I know baby. Me too. You’re just too adorable to fight with anyway.” You say with a chuckle.
“I’m only adorable with you. Everyone else I instill fear into their souls!” She says and then chuckles.
“You are rather terrifying in most situations i will say.” You say with a smirk.
“You make me feel safe, ya know. That’s why I’m so soft and loving with you cause you hold space for me where I can bring down my walls and be vulnerable and I know you got me and will love and support me regardless of what I’m feeling on any given day. And that’s a big deal for me. Thank you for being that for me, amore mio.” She says softly and then leans to you and gives you a soft love filled kiss.
“You wanna take a shower together tonight? That way you don’t have to worry about taking one tomorrow morning?” She asks as she pulls out of you, gets up and takes the strap off.
“Awww look at you thinking about future me.” You say as you get up and walk to the bathroom. “You know I’ll never say no to a shower with you.” You say as she follows you into the bathroom.
“You know I always think about you and how I can make your life easier.” She says as she wraps her arms around your waist. She looks at the handy work she did to your neck just moments ago and laughs.
“I’m glad you find the hickeys you gave me so amusing.” You say dripping in sarcasm.
“What can I say, you’ve turned me into a horny teenager all over again! And I just can’t help myself, plus your neck is so irresistible. It makes me laugh because I never felt this way let alone acted like this with anyone even as a kid. And now at 50 years old a little 29 year old comes along and brings it out of me.” She explains as she caresses your neck.
“I love that I brought it out of you.” You say with a smirk.
“Me too baby, me too. Okay shower and then bedtime so you wake up refreshed and ready to embark for Michigan.” She says and then takes you by the hand and into the shower.
You shower and then get into bed, you lie there staring up at the ceiling, feeling sad that you have to be away from Mel for five days.
“You better get your cute ass over here and lay your head on my chest. You know how that helps me fall asleep.” She says as she rolls over to face you.
You roll over and maneuver yourself and place your head on her chest and wrap your arm around her. And you listen to her heart beat and her breathing get slower and slower, as you drift off to sleep in the arms of a woman who is your everything.
“Feel the rain on your skin, no one can feel it for you only you can let it in. No one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips. Treat yourself in words unspoken, live your life with arms wide open, today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten!” Blares through your phone into the silent room.
“Fuck my life!” You groan into your pillow as you grab the phone off the nightstand to turn off your alarm. You feel soft kisses being placed on your shoulders and up your neck. It’s Mel’s adorable way of making you feel better in the morning cause she knows you’re not a morning person. And it really does make you feel better.
You turn to face her and are met with her gorgeous green eyes which you could get lost in for eternity and you’d be perfectly content with that.
“Good morning angel.” She says with a big smile as she leans in and kisses you softly. You wrap your arms around her and pull her so that your bodies are intertwined with each other.
“Good morning my gorgeous girl.” You say softly as you give her a sleepy smile.
“I just want to stay like this all day. I can’t believe I won’t see you for five days, it’s gonna be so weird. I’m gonna miss ya so much.” She says and then she lays her head on your chest.
“I know baby, me too. I’m gonna miss you so much. But it’ll go by fast and then I’m all yours to do with whatever you like.” You say with a big smirk.
“Ooo I like the sound of that!” She looks up at you seductively. “We both need to get up and get moving princess.” She says and then steals another kiss and then she rips the sheets off of you both and gets up.
“Fine but only cause you said too.” You chuckle and get up.
Once dressed, Mel goes through a mental checklist with you to make sure you have everything packed.
“You are very cute making sure I have everything.” You say as you put your hands on her waist and pull her in for a hug.
“I need to know you’re taken care of even when I’m not there. Not saying you can’t take care of yourself…” She says but is interrupted by you kissing her.
“I know what you meant baby.” You say to her when you break away as you caress her cheek.
“Good! You’re finally getting it through that stubborn head of yours!” She teases and playfully nudges you.
“Yeah, yeah! I should probably call my Uber.” You say in a more somber tone.
“Because I can’t drive you to the airport, will you at least let me pay for your Uber?” She asks with her big puppy dog eyes.
You knew this was just another way of the redhead wanting to take care of you. “Fine. I’ll let you get my Uber. But you better watch out I could get used to this princess treatment!” You teased her.
“Good! Cause you’re getting it for the rest of our lives together!” She quips back with a big smirk.
Mel gets an Uber for you. A few minutes later she’s notified it’s here. You walk arm in arm outside with Mel of course carrying your luggage. Your Uber pulls up and Mel puts your suitcase in the trunk. You look at her and see her eyes fill with tears. You pull her into you for a tight hug.
“I’ll be back before you know it. And you’ll probably realize how nice it is not to have me around.” You tease her and feel her laugh into your neck. “I’m going to miss you so much. And just know that whenever you think about me, I’m probably thinking about you too. I love you so much, sweetheart.” You say as you stroke her head.
“I’m going to miss you more! I love you so much amore mio. Don’t forget to text me when you get to the airport, when you get through security, when you get on the plane, when you land and when you get to home.” She instructs you as she looks at you lovingly.
“Yes ma’am.” You say with a nod and then you pull her in for a deep passionate kiss. When you break away, she gives you one more quick hug and then opens the car door for you, makes sure you buckle up and then gently shuts the car door.
“You ready to go?” Asks the driver.
“Yep.” You say as you roll down the window and wave to Mel. And you look back at her standing in her driveway watching you leave until you can’t see her anymore.
Onward to Michigan, you think to yourself.

Various TADC characters x reader who doesnt remember anything about themselves
something something goose confirming that circus members remember some bits of their life + pomnis dialogue about feeling like nothing in the real world backing that up characters: kinger, caine, ragatha, gummigoo notes: reader is gn, au where gummigoo lives cws: edit
Tumblr media
caine
he doesnt fully understand why it seems to stress you out so much, though is that really surprising? caine isnt exactly.. hmm...
as mean or invalidating as it may feel he might just try to get you to forget about trying to remember or to get you to stop stressing out about it... mostly out of his lack of understanding why its such a big deal to you, but also a tiny part of him because he doesnt want to see you abstract so soon... hes grown accustomed to your prescence!
you can make new memories with him... what other option is there?
its almost endearing the way he tries to comfort you by saying you can do so, but once more it feels so... dismissive..
he doesnt really mean to make you feel invalidated its just a lack of understanding, he does offer up an apology if you tell him outright that it makes you feel upset
though he is curious about why you dont remember ANYTHING! other circus members at least seem to remember glimpses and feelings but you have.. nothing... thats never really happened before and he vaguely wants to pick you apart to find out why
kinger
he can relate a bit, given that his mind is fuzzing- he feels so so sympathetic to your position when hes in a clear state of mind
offers to let you talk to him, whether about trying to remember or something to get your mind off of it
thanks to his erratic behavior, hes pretty good at getting your mind off of it for a little while
you both walk around the grounds to try to clear the air and get any tensions away
he checks in on you often due to him worrying that your major lack of memories or sense of identity pushes you to a headspace where you can abstract
not that he wouldnt check on you anyway, because he would
in an almost lighthearted way, you both make theories on who you were- some bland and mundane, others extravagant and insane
ragatha
similar to kinger she listens to you if you ever need to vent about your frustrations and anxieties around your origins, or really just in general... she doesnt want to see you suffer and honestly she kind of tends to you so she can keep her mind off of her own problems
asks if you want comfort or possible solutions whenever you seek her out, she wants to make sure to help you in the best way possible because... well its a delicate situation! she tends to lean more towards comfort... there cant really be a solution, can there?
you both attempt to do mock interviews, asking random questions... if you cant get your memories back maybe the two of you can make inferences about the kind of person you were based on your answers?
its not perfect, but its... something
none of the circus members remember the entirety of their lives before entering the circus but shes worried about your total lack of memories, similar to caine
gummigoo
oh boy... someone with no memories prior to becoming aware in the digital circus, and someone who was given false memories prior to becoming self aware. you are both... a hot mess..
you both cling onto each other out of a sense of comfort and familiarity between the two of you
you knock sense into each other and keep each other afloat if one of you gets a little too sucked deep into it
similar "we can make new memories, together" but with a sense of genuine hope and wanting to carve out a future for the two of you rather than trying to pacify and dismiss you
you both sit down together and just... talk about anything
you ask him what life as a bandit was like, and he asks you what its like being in the circus
you build something together, and its nice

"oh good heavens, help me! for i shall die, without you, my dear!" arielle pleads, her hands clasping around the sturniolo boy's arm.
"shut up, it's not that funny!" chris huffs, swatting her arm away, before making his way over to the chair closest to him.
chris, the youngest triplet, found himself enrolled in his schools local production of romeo and juliet, and his friends had not stopped bugging him about it since they found it.
it wasn't necessarily optional, it was more like he was forced to be in the play, otherwise his grades were going to rapidly decline, regardless of arielles study lessons.
"who's playing juliet then?" matt says, as he pops up from behind arielle, tapping her arm, making sure she caught on to the mocking session, chris was about to endure.
matt sturniolo, the middle triplet, was quite obviously the most close to arielle, and spent the majority of their time together. although what they didn't see was the endless amounts of love they shared for one another wasn't exactly platonic. well, at less that's what some people thought. arielle and matt however would argue until the end of the earth, to get people to understand that they were clearly just friends.
very close friends.
"is it sophie? we all know how much you love her!" arielle laughs, catching nicks attention.
"oooh, sophie? whos sophie?" nick says, opening the fridge, before quickly running towards the three.
nick sturniolo, the oldest and the one with the best music taste (obviously), the number one marielle shipper, almost like a diehard fan.
"she's just- she's nobody. nobody." chris flushes red and stares at arielle in what he thinks is an intimidating way, but she just finds it hilarious.
"is she someone or is she nobody, chris?" nick teases, pushing chris' arm on his way to sit down.
"she's just someone in my english class that i may have liked last year, but i don't like her now so cut it out. and anyways that's completely not the point! i have to be in this play otherwise ill fail, you know that!"
"but did you have to be romeo? matt scrunches his eyebrows, laughing a little.
"i had no choice, we were given roles randomly."
"okay, i don't care anymore. im bored, can we do something?" nick picks at his jumper, careless to the previous conversation they were having.
"god, so sorry i bored you." chris scoffs and gets up to get a drink, before asking the others if they wanted one too. to which they all replied, yes.
"um, we could go shopping?"
"okay, arielle. we've done that four times this week and it's only wednesday."
"and? it's my hobby, bro. a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do. but, that's not to say nobody else enjoys shopping as well, but from the looks on your faces, you all would beg to differ, which is absurd." arielle lectures, defending her love for shopping.
it was true. the girl loved shopping. it was all she did. she would make the triplets go shopping with her everywhere. from clothes shops to food shops, you name it, she took them with her. it was mainly because she couldn't drive, but she couldn't deny that their company was really the selling point.
the triplets love for her was practically infinite so they would do anything she wanted. although many people assumed arielle would abuse that power and just drain them for everything they had, she did the exact opposite.
after they rose to youtube fame, she stuck with them through it all. through the hate and endless amounts of hours editing and filming, she helped them as much as she could. sure she wasn't in the videos, but she was always working behind the scenes, editing, getting sponsors, coming up with video ideas, helping manage their accounts, almost like a manager.
she didn't want any credit for it and she didn't make it known she helped them so much, she just generally loved being around them.
"okay, fine. no shopping." arielle flopped onto a chair.
"how about we go to dennys?" matt suggests, making their faces light up, giving him the indication that his plan was well liked.
.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.
"god, this food is sent from above, i swear." arielle looks up, as if to thank the heavens for her pancakes, she shoved into her mouth quickly.
"slow down, arielle. you'll choke!" matt says, laughing a little beside her.
"that's what she said." chris mumbles, although everyone heard, making arielle flush red and laugh.
"what did you get again?" nick asks arielle.
"chocolate chip pancakes with nutella and ice cream!" arielle smiles, proud of her order, almost as if she made it herself.
"ahhh, the same as matt." matt looks up and frowns.
"yeah, i tried his last time and it was way better than mine." arielle laughs, oblivious to the faces chris and nick were making at matt.
arielle sips her drink and to her dismay, finds nothing but melted ice.
"ill be back, just going to get another drink. do you guys want any?" she says getting up.
"we're okay." nick exclaims, answering for all of them.
arielle walks to the counter to be met with a familiar pair of eyes.
"omg, arielle, is that you?" the brown haired girl says, putting her hand to her chest in fake surprise.
"amy, long time no see." arielle mumbles, looking her up and down before smiling a little too enthusiastically.
"hows life been treating you?"
"just fine, can i have an apple juice please? just the one."
"of course. what table?"
arielle turns around to ask the triplets the table number when amy gasps.
"omg, is that who i think it is?" she makes her way around the work counter and towards the sturniolos.
arielle rolls her eyes and walks over to them too, with her hands on her hips in annoyance.
"it is you guys! ive missed you all so much!"
"that makes one of us." arielle mumbles, making nick laugh but chris and matt remain silent.
"well, how's life been treating you?"
"is that the only thing you can think of to say?
"excuse me?" amy says, turning around.
"oh no, it's just that you said that to me too, you know, i was just having a laugh. no hard feelings." arielle justifys, folding her arms and smiling fakely.
"oh, aha! i repeat myself a lot!"
"yeah, perhaps it's time to pull out that dictionary from the attic and broaden the vocabulary. although, you could've done with that last year in mr jones' class."
"mhm, anyways! hows things boys? any girlfriends? oh sorry! boyfriends?" she says, touching nicks arm, making him nod his head awkwardly.
"nope!" nick says, shaking his head and looking down.
"how about you matt? last time i saw you matt, all the girls were going insane over you! don't doubt they still are with those looks." she flirts absentmindedly.
"actually, yes. i do."
arielle pov:
as i hear those words come out of his mouth, a little piece in me feels like it's died.
"you do?" chris asks, scrunching his eyebrows in confusion.
"yeah. arielle." matt winks at me, whilst the girl turns around and stares at me, almost in disbelief.
"you and matt?" i nod along, feeling heat rush to my face.
why was i blushing? it wasn't like it was real. i was just a quick excuse as an escape in a stupid conversation. god, i needed to get a grip.
"well, that's great!" she says, her jaw clenching and a fake smile appearing on her face.
"well, we best be going! see you round, amy." matt gets up and walks over to me, before trailing his arm over my shoulder.
i can feel him looking at me and i instantly want to look away. we hug all the time but this is different, i can practically feel him breathing down my neck.
chris and nicks eyes were burning holes into my skin, as they looked in astonishment at matt and i.
they were shocked? i was shocked!
we all walk out the restaurant and i quickly change the subject.
"we had half our food left on that table." i furrow my eyebrows and peer into the window to look.
"so we're all going to ignore what happened then?" chris exclaims, his eyes practically coming out of his head.
"thanks for playing along with that, by the way." matt says, smiling at me.
i shouldn't feel sad about this. its actually fucking ridiculous.
"oh. no, yeah, for sure. it's cool." i answer, looking down at my feet, desperate for the moment to pass.
"now, what do we do?" nick begins walking to the car.
"we could have a sleepover, if your mom lets you."
"sure, ill ask her." i close the car door, before collapsing into the chair dramatically.
i open my phone and text my mum quickly.
momma <3
hi mom! hope everything's okay at work, would it be okay if i slept round the triplets tonight?
of course, if it's okay with mary!
thank you mum, love you!
love you too!
i go to put my phone away but am met with a pinging noise, more commonly known as my text notification.
i open my phone again to see nicks name pop up.
bird whisperer <3
Are you okay?
yeah, why?
You just seemed really off after the restaurant
no, it's okay, just wanted to finish my food hehehe
Hmmm Okay It's more than that but I'll talk to you about it later
what does he mean by that?
he couldn't know, could he? god, i hope not.
╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗
the drive back was peaceful but lowkey kinda awkward, which was a first with the sturniolos.
it was probably because of who we bumped into. what i forgot to say was that amy and matt used to be very close. like girlfriend and boyfriend close.
until well, i came back.
i moved to california when i was 13 for 3 years, but i still talked to the triplets the whole time and i didn't really get closer to anyone.
me and matt were like the iconic duo, everyone knew that. people at school, their parents, nick and chris, their friends, teachers, literally everyone.
so when i left, everybody was in shock but of course, they didn't know i was coming back and it was only temporary.
whilst, i was gone, matt met amy and they really hit it off. i wasn't salty about it when chris mentioned it at first, it was when our 2 hour calls turned into 10 minute calls and every month meet ups turned into every six month meet ups.
until i came back, and then it was like everything was normal again.
we kind of just put it all to the back of us, wanting to forget about it all.
but i always felt slightly guilty that matt just dropped amy like that. i was told she wasnt the nicest of people but that didn't mean she deserved to be treated that way. i mean, ive been in that situation and it's painful.
we never talked about her when i came back, apart from when i asked alahna what happened and even she was light on details.
so like i said, we just brushed it off like it never happened.
"arielle!" nick bumps my arm, making me turn towards him and hum in question.
"we asked if you are okay?"
"yeah, i just spaced out for a second. thinking about work, it's really hectic at the moment." i was partially lying, which made me feel a little better, although knowing nick he'd end up finding out anyways.
"so glad we don't have to go to school anymore, honestly it was so draining." chris adds, still on his phone.
"i know, but it was also such a good time as well, especially towards the end."
"yeah, i kinda miss it sometimes."
"you weren't there for half of it." matt laughs, making feel slightly uncomfortable.
i still feel guilty to this day about me moving, but i can't change the past.
"yeah. well you didn't miss much." nick says, lightening the mood.
the car stops, indicating we had gotten to their house and i open the car door to get out.
"i haven't got my stuff guys." i remember, stopping in my tracks, making the guys look my way.
"it's okay, you can wear my stuff." matt carelessly stares, as i nod.
i need to stop looking into things, we used to do this all the time. why all of a sudden does it feel different? amy didn't affect me that much.
we walk into the house and up the stairs to the kitchen.
"now what do we do, no offence but im bored as hell." i sit down on the counter, reaching for an apple in the fruit bowl.
"we could watch a movie."
"boring."
"we could make a tiktok."
"no we do that everytime"
i yawn and see matt come and stand next to me, grabbing the apple from my hands and attempting to balance it on his finger.
"we could do a challenge video for YouTube." chris suggests, making our heads turn towards him and i nod in agreeance.
THIS IS BAD I THINK HOPE U GUYS LIKE !!!!!

[Yandere] madness combat the main three+ 2BDamned X gender neutral reader [PART 2]
Warning ⚠ Mention of violence, , yandere themes and the basics of these stories, obsession, mention gore, anguish, mention death of the reader, mention of corpse?
.
.
.
•But one day in Nevada, another day of misfortune and pain, that was it for 3 months after your death. None of the four wanted to accept that you were no longer alive, DENIAL was something they always did.
•DEIMOS was the first one who didn't accept that you were dead, being the most affected of the four for a while, the only one who saw you die in front of him. If you had been alive you would have seen the damage he did to the A.A.H.W soldier, rest assured that he didn't spare him until his death, so much so that 2BDamned and Hank had to pull him away from the Soldier's unrecognizable body because Deimos was so destroyed (he admits in whispers to himself that he wanted to have destroyed him more).
•The amount of cigarettes he smoked was greater, and it only increased as time went by, so much so that 2BDamned had to warn him about his increased consumption (yes, things were so bad that he and the others stopped smoking more than they used to). It was like a drug for him to try to forget about you, BUT HE FAILED MISERABLY AT THAT.
•He also didn't talk much or make jokes and funny comments like before, becoming quieter and more serious, especially on missions involving the A.A.H.W agents, it seemed like everyone changed completely and became an empty shell that only killed. He also blamed himself for not being more careful, because he believes it was his fault that you died, even though Sanford, Hank and 2BDamned deny it and that it was something that was not in anyone's control. “They’re dead…because of me” was what he always said sometimes after missions, and every time Sanford had to calm him down trying to make him stop thinking about it.
•And speaking of him, SANFORD, another affected person, he didn’t accept that you were dead when he was holding your body that day, believe how much he cried while trying to convince 2BDamned that he could save you (Even though he knew it wasn’t possible to save you at that moment). Even though time passed and he had accepted that you were dead, it was just a mask that he hid in front of the others, because it was just a gap for him to almost break down in tears in an isolated place where there was no one. But the question was, what did he do wrong for this to happen? WASN’T HE PROTECTING YOU PROPERLY AS HE HAD PROMISED?
•He also became quieter and more serious when he did the missions, but unlike Deimos who almost (Never) made jokes or funny comments during the missions, he tried his best to lighten the situation by doing it himself, but all he managed to do was make Deimos and him remember YOU. So he stopped making these comments that could remind them of YOU. •He also had to take care of Deimos, since he was no longer taking care of himself while smoking more than usual and falling into a deep depression. It was hard for him to see his companion and friend being destroyed little by little, but if he wasn't strong enough to help Deimos with this, WHO WOULD BE IN THAT SITUATION?.
•Luckily, and with a lot of effort, he managed to make Deimos stop doing this, he stopped smoking like he was doing before, and stopped feeling guilty all the time for being the cause of his death. That was enough to make Sanford stop thinking about you for a bit to take care of his partner (even though he hadn't forgotten about you, he stopped a bit and tried to accept little by little that you were no longer among them). She also stopped crying a bit and controlled her feelings more about everything that happened, because reliving the bad things was never the best option. But every now and then he and Deimos took some time to remember you and everything you did for them, good memories that were worth remembering, since he and Deimos had already recovered at least a little to talk about you again.
•HANK, what can I say about the most dangerous killing machine in Nevada? He was never one to be affected by someone's death, since he always killed and had blood on his hands, so much so that it would take forever to talk about everything he had done and how many he had killed. And he didn't show his feelings and also open them to someone, but that changed completely when the subject was YOU, and believe me when I say that after what happened to you, he didn't stop being who he was, HE BECAME WORSE THAN BEFORE.
•He screamed a lot with a lot of strength and hatred, AND REALLY A LOT when he saw what happened to you, but his screams were muffled by his mask, but it was enough for everyone in the place to be surprised and a little scared, because it wasn't common, or almost never, for him to lose his calm and control over his senses, but it seemed like everything had exploded like a bomb. And also how he reacted, attacking the corpses of the A.A.H.W agents with all the rage and hatred until they turned to pulp and covered in more blood than normal.
•He became more cruel and bloodthirsty than before, no one was spared from his Fury and hatred (except Sanford, Deimos and 2BDamned). Anyone who appeared in front of him didn't last 3 seconds, especially when it was about any enemy or something related to A.A.H.W. and before he spoke little and showed little emotion (this is because he was more open with you to talk about himself), this was no longer seen in him nowadays, even TRICK, a Being who only thinks about killing and barely thinks about anything very logical, noticed this in him, YES, EVEN HE REALIZED THIS.
•although he never opened this to anyone, he missed you a lot, MISSED YOU A LOT, but it was something he didn't talk about, because even after everything he wanted to move on, strongly believing that he could do it, SPOILER... HE COULDN'T DO IT. Because the feeling of longing and guilt of not having paid attention and having prevented this from happening to YOU was greater than the desire to forget, this is something that he was not prepared to deal with in Life or that would affect him (and remember that he has been through worse things). But the only thing that calmed him down, even if it was just a little, was to go into your old room and remember you when you were alive, because it was the only thing he could do to remember you and forget his problems, even if it lasted very little, but it was enough to make him forget the problems of the world and that you WERE...
•2BDAMNED…out of everyone here he was the least affected, BUT EVEN SO HE DENIES THAT YOU DIED. Out of all four, he was one of the only ones who managed to control his feelings for your loss. Which made some people wonder why he didn't seem shaken by your death, but sometimes he let this feeling of anguish escape him, since Hank is the only one who has seen this when 2BDamned was isolated in his laboratory.
•Out of everyone he always seemed…determined? Well, he brought Hank Back to Life, WHY COULDN'T HE BRING YOU BACK? It was his most logical thought, what could go wrong? Well…to be honest it wasn't what he expected, because even trying everything (and clearly no one knowing about it) to bring him back to life, it was no use, because somehow he always made mistakes.
•He had already tried to find you and get you out of purgatory if you were there days after your death, but to his surprise you weren't there, even though he had looked for you, it was useless. What had happened to YOU? You were supposed to be there like everyone who died goes as he thought it was, but it seems that you don't seem to follow this rule. And this has become even stranger and tiring for him in these last months.
•Your body has always been kept in his laboratory, secret from the others, because if any of them found out what he was doing, he would have SERIOUS PROBLEMS with the three of them, and he also didn't want to bring false hope, especially to Deimos. The process was difficult, because it seemed like nothing changed or progressed at all, your body didn't react to anything he did, but that wouldn't make him give up on bringing you back, EVEN IF IT MEANS THAT HE DOESN'T SLEEP PROPERLY OR IS STUCK ALMOST EVERY DAY IN HIS LABORATORY.
•Until one day that changed, but not as he wanted. Because one day, while trying to bring you back to life, he passed out on the spot due to tiredness and days without sleeping, and when he woke up he saw something strange about the place. "Did I leave the lab open last time?" That's what he asked himself as he analyzed the place. And to his surprise, you were no longer there, where attempts to resurrect you were being made.
•When he realized this, he went into shock and despair, because you could finally be alive and have left the place without really knowing what happened, or the other could be that someone must have entered the lab and seen your body and taken it from the place, two possibilities that would cause serious problems and headaches for him. Mainly if Sanford, Deimos and Hank saw you walking around the Base. Someone who should have been dead three months ago walking around the base was a danger, which made him go out and search immediately before anyone found you.
•BUT YOU WERE NOWHERE…and that worried him a lot, because you weren't protected and probably didn't have any weapons to defend yourself out there. He thought many times about telling others about this, and as more days passed, the more he felt the desire and difficulty of hiding it from others increased.

UNTIL ONE DAY THAT CHANGED WHEN BOTH HE AND THE OTHERS DIDN'T EXPECT WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN….

Blackwater XIX
Raiting: 18+
Warnings: well I said a couple of months ago that something was toxic… there’s a lil bit of non-con this time, so if someone of you is not ready, im sorry, is that chap.
A/N: this chapter wasn't very easy to write, but the next ones won't be either, let's wish each other good luck.
Tumblr media
She had hoped to go somewhere else, but with problems piling up day after day doing so wasn't even an option. It was safer to stay south, where their reservation still acted as a natural stop to any external influence coming from across the border, plus Roman was in the area, though again not there with her, having yet another meeting with yet another person for yet another deal.
She hadn't been very happy about it at first, but had to admit at least to herself that maybe it was for the best. In town she had finally found something she could bring to Lisa to thank her and plus they were relatively close home, which meant they would be there before night and she could go to bed to recover a bit.
The stress caused by the situation did not help either her mood or body already affected by hormonal swings of a heat that Y/N prayed to postpone as long as possible. She wasn't sleeping well due to too many thoughts, she was losing her appetite, as well as the desire to go running and that afternoon she had another one of her waves of shivers which was trying to fight with some hot chocolate in an attempt to also replenish a sugars. She had bought Solo a coffee too, but he kept holding it in his hand without drinking, too busy glaring at anyone who dared come closer than necessary, that was not even so close.
- You didn't grow up here, did you? – she asked, interrupting silence between them once again, because they spent a lot of time together, but even if he seemed willing to talk with her, their conversations were never long.
He looked at her a bit confused, putting aside his perpetual serious face for a moment, coffee still in his hand.
- Jimmy said you came here after, like me – she explained, letting out an encouraging smile and he shook his head no.
- I grew up in the area, with my family.
Y/N let out a surprised oh, going back to twirling the straw in silence as they walked towards the suv.
From the stories she had thought he had come from out of state to help Roman, but she probably misunderstood. She hadn't spent much time with Solo's family, she had only seen them once actually and he didn't open up more than necessary, most of the time talking about what there was to do during the day, well she talked, he was more comfortable listening.
- Not with them. They were always together somewhere. – he added unexpectedly, perhaps not to make her uncomfortable with another silence or perhaps not to make her feel so out of place and Y/N smiled gratefully.
Y/N saw him nod slightly, as if satisfying her had satisfied him too.
She had never really thought about it, but there was an age gap between him and those three. Now he was a big boy with muscles and a menacing look, in those years he had probably just been a kid that them didn't want around. She couldn't imagine what it was like, Y/N hadn't had any brother or sister, she had grown up alone, but the half year spent with all of them before the chaos was enough for her to understand. Maybe he couldn't have tolerated them as a kid, always together already as pack leaving him at home and doing their own business, but now he was a man, it was different.
His family is broken.
- I'm sorry, Solo...
Standing next to the black suv, he looked at her, again confused by her reaction.
- We have to do what needs to be done.
- They're your brothers no matter what.
- I swore to the Tribal Chief. They did it too. – he said serious, his tone almost angry.
In packs like theirs, still tied to old laws and traditions, it was normal to have a relationship of deep respect with those at the top. Those were legacies that were now intertwined with a changed society but still subject to natural balances, such as the amendment on property rights between mates and social hierarchies for those who belonged to or were born from groups not commonly seen well. Y/N, with her omega smell, knew a lot about it and had had to deal with it there too in the first few months, but the prospect of an acknowledgment, oath, was new and something she hadn't heard.
She saw Solo open the door to let her in, his face less angry, but still solemn.
- You don't have to – he reassured her, mistaking her silence for concern, dark round eyes stopping too long lower, at the base between her neck and shoulder, where Y/N had tightened her jacket trying to send away the cold shivers – you already have his… smell.
Smell wasn't the word he wanted to say, but what Solo was referring to, she didn't have yet.
Our mark. His mark.
That too was an old legacy, dangerous in her case, but Y/N didn't have time to think too much about it by looking for her phone which in the meantime had notified of a message.
***
Paul was a smart man. Roman had chosen him as a wise man for that very reason. There was no one in the entire country more capable than him, no one who had his level of experience. He was a lawyer, an advisor, a connoisseur, he had political support, important acquaintances within the packs and outside, plus his family had practically adopted him when he was a boy, so he was not a stranger. The wise man was many things, but honest only when necessary and Roman had never had a problem with that kind of approach in their time together. He tolerated all sorts of expedient for his purpose, he had learned the hard way how much it cost to have feelings, but everything changed if those tricks helped something of which he was not made aware.
Because Roman knew from years and life lessons. Loyalty and trust were something he no longer expected, from anyone and certainly not from someone who had stayed afloat when everyone else drowned. Everyone could be a friend, everyone could be an enemy, his wolf now did no exception and all the whispers, phone calls and messages that kept Paul busy even when they were together were nothing but further proof of a picture that he knew. The wiseman acted driven by the feeling of ground crumbling beneath their feet, frightened by changes that his cousin and those dogs on the border threatened, by the possibility of a future that Roman would not allow as long as he was able to breathe. He loved the wise man, he could forgive him being a coward, pretending not to see, at least until he took a step too far.
- So? – he asked annoyed, almost making the phone fly out of his hand.
- Two weeks. Tomorrow both of you will exchange the sogi – he reported in a heavy voice, his shoulders low, his face frowning as if someone had just stepped on him after the news.
He didn't like the prospect of that fight, first of all because he was risking his head. Roman knew even without having to ask that he would play his cards to make things better and save everything, but for him the two weeks he had dealt were too much time and those plans useless. Fourteen days were the ritual time to provide what was necessary for families, so that both parties were ready for any outcome, but for him were just a useless wait. He wouldn't be the one to lose, he had no alternatives to plan unlike Jey, he just needed to have free way and get his hands on his cousin.
- About the stipulations, I was thinking- he advanced, trying to recover as much as possible.
- There are none.
- My Tribal Chief, if I may, considering what we are facing now, it would be better to leave a few more resources and perhaps-
- There will be no stipulations.
He had complied with stipulations, conditions for weeks, suffered weakness for months, the time for mercy was over. He had left many doors open for his cousins, he had tried everything and Jey however had gone where he shouldn't, disrespecting him to the point of contesting him with the Elders, they had gone too far and now there was only one way to put an end to it. The only acceptable stipulation was unconditional surrender, total humiliation, there was nothing else to talk about. Guts were needed to keep their family in line, his dad had reminded him of this and Roman was not willing to receive other reminders in the future, he was no longer a boy. Whatever happened next, he would handle it the way he handled everything, with a firm grip and without regard, he didn't need those two to do it. He was the alpha, he had control and winning cards to play against everyone.
- How much longer do we have to stay here? – he asked, tired of waiting, staring with annoyance at the watch on his wrist.
They had been in that office longer than he was willing to tolerate and he couldn't stand listening to the wise man calls or him typing messages anymore, he didn't have all day to waste signing a deal with the governor. He had to train, dedicate the next fourteen days focusing on the goal, not sitting bored in a chair waiting for a paper that should have already been ready the second he set foot in that building.
- I'm going to immediately check where Pearce has ended up, my… – the wise man snapped to attention, but he barely managed to turn to go towards the door – tribal… chief.
Roman smelled him before even moving his gaze to the man accompanying Pearce. He had no idea who he was, he didn't remember his face if they had ever met before, but he had a smell that he didn't like. He didn't like the smell of him, he didn't like the way was staring at him, he didn't like the attitude and he sure as hell didn't like that he came around when he had business to do.
We don't like him.
- Reigns.
Pearce greeted, already adjusting glasses on his nose, his expression stressed as always. Roman didn't even look at him, focused on observing the new arrival who was already taking place at the table without having been invited. Pearce had that same attitude in the past, a couple of years ago, until Roman had taken it away from him in his own way and since then had never reappeared. He almost wanted to do the same with that new guy.
- What’s this idea Mr. Pearce?! It was supposed to be a private meeting for private business! Very important business! It's unacceptable! – complained the wise man, standing up against that lack of respect.
- Our new neighbors have informed the governor of activities across the border. It seemed right to him to invite Mr. Aldis as a delegate to clarify before signing anything. He’s in charge of that area now.
That's what he was. Another puppet, another well-dressed small dude convinced to have power or a chance against him, thought he was worth something, that he could stand face to face with Roman, thanks to the talks of those idiots to whom his cousins had left the field free. They were becoming arrogant, stupidly brave, throwing in his face that he had lost his hold in the north and that now there were others there. They hadn't gone too far yet, keeping everything legal, moving with what they could to make their voices heard, their new influence known, but Roman was fine with those games as long as they didn't go beyond the limit. And the limit was his patience running out.
- Since you no longer have jurisdiction there and the upcoming Bloodline activities threaten the entire area, restrictions must be established for the future. Real restrictions Mr. Reigns that I will take care of enforcing and making clear to you. Without it, nothing new will be authorized. – the new dude, Aldis, announced, openly defying his influence, head held high and the wise man behind him jumped.
They wanted to authorize him.
- How dare you- he screamed, but Roman simply raised a finger to silence him, the other hand gripping the chair.
That tanned, smug face of him would have looked perfect smashed onto his table or on the floor, better under his foot.
They wanted to play the big game, gamble when he already had more important business to take care of. It was almost hilarious, almost because that little game would be short-lived. He would let them do it, for a while, until Jey got what he deserved since everything that was happening was his fault. That was what happened if they left their side exposed, if they allowed a pack of strays to smell weakness, it was the price to pay for a crack and the reason Roman would have no more second thoughts.
Elders were right, he had to focus, do what he had to do and what he had been chosen for. He couldn't afford any more weaknesses or they would become ready and able to bite his throat.
- Go ahead – he conceded, collecting himself.
He would get rid of them one by one, blood of his blood or not. Without mercy.

She had sought comfort between now cold sheets smelling of him, curling up her legs for extra warmth, keeping her eyes tighter to ward off thoughts ready to fill her mind, but hadn't made it and her she-wolf had found Roman through the link. She had sensed him immediately, probably because he wasn't shielding anything believing that she was still asleep and Y/N had snuck out to join him in the dim light of his home office.
Mate is not here with us.
He was sitting on the couch with a solitary lamp, his face serious, fingers running through the seeds of his necklace. He was physically there, but his head was somewhere else as happened too often now. In the house he always kept the ulafala in the case, but Y/N didn't need to ask to know why he was there staring at it when he was supposed to be resting by her side, in their bed. Paul had told her as soon as he received the news, keeping to their agreement or perhaps already seeking help and Y/N had finally given a deadline to the anxiety that was weighing on her.
Fourteen days of peace before chaos, before completely crumbling what was left of the family, but in a few hours it would truly become inevitable. Or it was probably already late judging by Roman's face.
- Will you have to wear it? – she asked in a whisper, entering the room almost on tiptoe.
He hadn't told her anything about how the meeting would take place nor had he added anything about the fight, but she couldn't blame him. She had promised to stand by him, to defend him, yet she hadn't reacted well to his drastic change of plans and he didn't seem to really understand why she hadn't accepted it. What had happened was serious, but what could happened next would be even worse. Standing, she watched him keep his gaze fixed on the symbol of sacrifices, of his role and pains without turning to look at her and she too observed it, perhaps expecting a revelation.
Red for power, seeds for the rebirth of the dynasty.
She knew the value and pride behind that object, Roman had told Y/N all the stories about the ulafala, but no matter how hard she tried in her eyes it was only a necklace left weighing him down. It should have given him strength, conveyed his strength, represented the family future and instead he found himself fighting to keep it around his neck, to keep what he had gained after an argument born from unpleasant circumstances and degenerated due to old grudges.
- I earned it, represents me – she heard him reply, because in his mind it was the only thought.
She felt it, she knew it. He felt his efforts, sacrifices threatened and they were, but Y/N still felt like it wasn't Jey or Jimmy who was the real danger. At least not initially, now everything was a danger, even the elders who were supposed to accompany and advise him. Them all had fallen into a trap were building with their own hands and she couldn't resign herself to the sight of that disaster.
He's not just that for us.
- You don't need it – she reminded him, stopping looking at the ulafala to focus on him.
She saw him inspire with frustration, felt annoyance pass through him at the mere idea of continuing that conversation, his eyes far from hers.
- Go back to bed Y/N.
- Come with me then, is not mornin yet – she insisted, refusing to give up.
They had different opinions, different approaches, it had always been like that and perhaps it would never change, but they were on the same side. She didn't want to go back to their room if he wasn't there, didn't want to sleep if he wasn't there, she had been alone for too long to throw away moments, to wait two weeks to pass and then hope to go back to what they had before. She trusted Roman, she had never trusted anyone like him, but it wasn't going to end up with Jey and Y/N was honestly afraid of the aftermath he talked about. The threats were different, without blood ties and were just waiting the right moment to attack him, they wanted to get him out of the way and take everything, not just his role. No one can get rid of a weed without pulling out its roots. It had already happened with her family and now can happen again because he was focused just on what was in front of him. But she couldn't wait for the inevitable, it wasn't in her nature to do what she had to do or what he wanted, she existed to do what he couldn't.
She saw him stay silent, sign he had no intention of moving. So she stood in front of him, slipping the ulafala from his fingers without asking. That move finally forced him to raise his head, trying to understand what was happening, while she carefully placed it back in the case where he kept it and then went back to the couch. She listened him breathe heavily, scratch his dark beard with a grimace, and she sat down on his lap to take up the entire view.
- Ain't doing this talk once more – he stopped her soon, shaking his head.
- Not even if im the one asking? – she tried, seeing him immediately clench his jaw.
- Im doing it for you, for us, all! I told you and you said we were on the same side, now what?!
- I'm not taking anything back. I'm just worried it’s already too much – she confessed, not really knowing how else to explain the feeling in her.
Maybe she was giving in to the hormones, anxiety, or maybe was the fact she hadn't cared about others in years like she did now for him, but it was all happening so fast and whether Roman was ready to admit it or not, he was losing control and not facing things with a right mindset. Those outbursts of anger, the way he turned against everyone, judgments, drastic solutions, he was getting carried away by the desire for revenge and his justice. He kept saying he was doing it for them, for their future and instead seemed like a pretext to rush towards other problems. They didn't need acknowlegment, a border to build anything, they were fine, everything worked when it was just them, together. They had never been happier than in the time spent getting to know each other, digging their bond out of the dust and strengthening it. Life certainly couldn't be made up only of moments like those, dates and runs in the woods, but things could certainly have been different.
- Whatever it takes, doesn't matter, at all – he announced, almost exasperated by having to explain, by having to hear, his gaze so confident and Y/N stared at him for a moment without being able to say anything else.
Whatever it takes, he said.
The prospect of those sacrifices and ease which he said he wanted to face them would torment was heavy, but as she had sadly learned to do growing up, she hid all the worry in the back of her mind.
He didn't listen or maybe he didn't want to.
So Y/N simply moved closer, challenging his growing temper, to seek some warmth and his lips in an uncertain kiss. Saw him look at her almost suspiciously for her reaction, studying before reciprocate the kiss and sliding his hands down her thighs. Close, felt their breaths slowly mix in the silence of the dark house and that warmth she had found too late, growing from the most vulnerable part to her chest begging for comfort.
- You matter to me – she reminded him in a heated murmur, forehead resting on him, swollen lips touching, eyes burning for something that went beyond words.
She didn't really care about anything else. They could have been anywhere, surrounded by anyone or in utter desolation and Y/N would still have searched for those eyes. They were her firm point, he was her person. The thought of it terrified her, but she was done fighting and pretending. Roman was everything for her, she had nothing else anymore and she wanted, hoped... he would understand that for that exact reason they couldn't give in. They had to stay together, as a pack, mates.
She saw his gaze lingering on her lips, rising then to meet her eyes, two brown pools now dark in the dim light of the room. Felt his fingers gripping her hips, digging into soft flesh with possession, domineering and lust, marking her skin to claim and force her where she already was.
- Then you gonna be there with me, as you should – he demanded, resolute and despite fighting with everything her head suggested, Y/N nodded to please him again, letting Roman finally crash his mouth against her, satisfied.
They would find a way, they would find a solution even if it seemed difficult, they could do it together, but in that moment Y/N just needed to feel him close, just for her, far from all the noise and problems that awaited them out. They could give themselves that moment of rest, cherish it and Y/N rocked on him, moaning into his hot mouth as their bodies inexorably warmed up. His tongue was insatiable, ready to devour and intoxicate her with his good taste, thrown into a fight that she didn't even dare win. She preferred to let him have control in those moments, while her fingers made their way through dark soft locks, scratching the back of his strong neck to once again elicit that raw growl that vibrated through his broad chest into her bones. Felt his hands slide deeper, grasping her ass, encouraging Y/N to move her hips, pushing on his boner which was quickly answering to juices already wetting his pants.
She had stopped wearing panties when they went to bed a while ago and now was even grateful. She would bear nothing but the feeling of his hard body against her, pressure building like a blessed torture as he guided her growling for her to ride him shamelessly. Y/N had been trying to slow down and control herself for months now, so as not to give in to the heat of their bond, stay with feet on the ground and mind clear now that everything was falling apart, but it was an inexorable descent faster every time Roman touched her. She clung to him, feeling one of his hands travel up under her shirt to roughly grab one of her breasts, his calloused palm rubbing her sensitive nipple making her squirm. Her body had always been hyper-reactive to his attentions, but now she had fallen into a spiral with no exit. Y/N yearned him like a castaway for salvation and in moments like that the need mixed with something more, something that Y/N had never felt for anyone else and her she-wolf fought to make her whisper.
Tell him. We need him. Our mate. Tell him.
- My pussy wet as fuck hm? You need me, don't you? – he said voice like velvet, breaking their kiss and motioning for her to raise herself just enough to sink easily into her cunt – Ima fill you up good, babygirl… don't worry. Aint going nowhere and you'll be stuck with me.
The heat caused by his intrusion had already forced Y/N to open her mouth without being able to speak back, but the sudden thrust of his hips quickly accelerating to pound her almost made her cry. Hands tightened on his shoulders, eyes narrowing with each thrust and then opening as the wave of heat rose from her belly, sending her entire body into flames. Bouncing on his lap, she felt Roman moving his hand from her breast to give her a sharp slap on her ass, he did it one more time drawing a moan and then move up to her throat, to squeeze it just enough to bring tears to her eyes. Quickening the pace, in the frenzy of their moment, Y/N began to confuse the her own pounding heart with the slick sound of bodies slamming together. Her mind becomes more clouded by the second, ears filled with Roman's growls and threatening promises like dark spells ready to tear her soul and climax away. Confused between pleasure and desperation, she held him to her as he held her by the throat, twitches of her wet center uncontrolled amidst the panting of both of them that grew angrier. Room around flashed, throbbing like folds around his cock, impregnated with smell of their bodies, air charged and heavy, saturated with sweat and lust, with a mix of their smells.
They were racing with no intention of slowing down, as if the only goal was to consume, melt and crumble thanks to the other one. Y/N end came sudden and violent between a sloppy kiss and a particularly insistent push on that soft point on which Roman loved to rage without any mercy, fast, powerful, in a strangled moan that made her bare feet tingle, rising in an electric discharge up her legs to a sweaty body, chest begging and hot face. She closed her eyes, grabbing Roman's arm for her life, throwing her head back and then immediately hiding her face on his shoulder because he wasn't slowing down, he wasn't even giving her a moment to breath and she had already went over her limit. Heat kept growing and shake her, causing Y/N to lose all contact with her surroundings, ears ringing as if she had been underwater, body still crying out for more while Roman pounded furiously. Stunned, she stood abandoned in his arms, letting him have his way as he wanted, until something made her eyes widen, pushing her to gasp.
- R-Ro- she tried, because his hand had somehow left her throat, to grab Y/N by the back of her neck and tilt her head to the side.
He was holding her by her curls, beard scratching her hot neck, tongue ready to lick away sweat from her sweet pulsing weak spot to prepare it.
- Easy, stay still – his breath against her skin, so close, pushed Y/N to stiffen as much as his words – I'll be gentle, ssh…
Roman had never pushed, he had never held her like he was doing at that moment and feeling his teeth on her flesh sharper than usual, Y/N wriggled away.
- Don't - she tried again, feeling him tighten his grip, slowing down his thrusts, another hand moving to her wrist.
Why he was acting like that?
- Don't panic, its me – he reassured her, words heavy, attitude raising for her reaction and she planted her feet, her only free hand tapping on his bare chest.
It was him, Roman? Was it really him that one? Suddenly Y/N wasn't so sure and ignoring her wolf pleas, confused between the sense of discomfort and desire to give in, she pushed again to put some space between them.
- Y/N
- No, not like this! – she wailed and when finally managed to slide away from his legs, Y/N saw him jump up with a growl.
The crash of the coffee table froze her on the couch, eyes wide as she watched him pant in anger with clenched fists, body stiff. Still dirty for their moment, but with her mind completely clear now, she watched him stand there trying to regain control in a heavy silence she hadn't felt between them in a while. Roman rubbed his face, rolling his large shoulders, rocking his head and even though she was shaken, something in Y/N's chest tightened following the imperceptible direction of his gaze across the room, where she had put the ulafala away.
Did he want to mark her to prove a point? To have full control in order to not go through what had happened with his family? It was that?
Mate…
She moved her eyes to his hand, the one would have grabbed to calm him, to bring him back to there with her, the one she always found on herself for any reason even the stupidest, the one Y/N had learned to want, but a second too long passed and her hesitation was enough for Roman to quickly settle down, deciding to walk out of the room without a word to leave her again.
***
Uncle Afa was a man bent by age and illness now. When him and his dad stopped traveling around the country, he opened a gym in a recreation center on the eastern outskirts of the city where family had settled. He only trained their people at that time, city folks didn't want to set foot among savages, but his uncle ignored comments like his dad, dedicating himself heart and soul to the pack. Roman remembered going into that place the last time when he was sixteen, probably with the twins, to put on muscles that had grown bigger on their own later and fill his stomach always asking for more. The gym was different now from then, it was larger, it had incorporated buildings next door and it wasn't dusty at all. There was a sign, clean walls full of photos and articles, in the central one there was also him, right at the top.
They had organized the meeting there to have a neutral place, a place that represented everyone, a symbol of the pack values as the Elders demanded. Yet sitting at the head of the table in the gym hall, with the attention of many of his blood just beyond the threshold, Roman kept undaunted watching that perfectly framed photo at the top of the wall. He was there to talk, ready to prove his worth even if it was thanks to him that that picture had a wall to still be on, if that gym existed after his uncle's family had spent almost everything to pay the national healthcare system, if the next generations would have a place to go or eat like he did. He acknowledged his family efforts, but all of them would have been still in that dusty past of mediocrity if Roman had not taken everything into his own hands knowing he was more than what the world saw.
- Don't try, don’t think about it, I wouldn't do it if I was in your place - he heard Jimmy warn, blocking the wise man from trying to come forward to break the silence of their meeting that had already started a few minutes ago without a word.
Roman heard him clear his throat anyway, but payed no attention until Jey, the only one sitting besides him and Y/N, decided to cut it short.
- I don't have any piece of paper with me – he announced, rubbing his hands on his legs.
Roman eyed him silently, slowly tilting his head and Jey shifted in his seat, face so serious as he settled himself better to speak.
He could broaden his shoulders and give himself as much tone as he wanted, but he would never be on his level, he would never be like him and it was evident. That meeting was ridiculous, disrespectful even.
- It's just between us for me. Families have nothing to do with it – he explained, quickly nodding to whoever was outside the door – Same for Solo, he's my brother... and Y/N, she's family too. He disappears with you though and won't set foot in the packland again as long as I'm here. – he concluded, pointing to the wise man who didn't even manage to mutter his disappointment before Roman burst out laughing.
He’s crazy and dumb.
His hoarse laugh echoed throughout the entire empty hall and he didn't bother to hide it or hold back, simply running a hand over his beard to regain control only after a while. With the entire family's eyes on him, he knocked the table with his hand, eyeing his cousin once more.
Jey. The little soldier Jey. Roman had tried to keep him close, to teach him how things worked, because he loved him and still he didn’t get it. Not a single thing. Anything at all.
He persisted with his speeches even a few days before the moment which Roman would have removed him from the family, putting everything on the table to play the good pup. He wanted the title, he wanted to chase him away, but he was willing to vouch for his family anyway, for Solo who had kicked him and even Y/N… as if there was only one scenario out of all the ones imaginable in which Roman would have left her if not as a deadman or it would have allowed him to realize the ideas he had in his dumb head. He still thought the problem was him or the advice the wise man had given him to stay on top, he thought he could keep his hands clean, not involve anyone and he didn't understand that the situation they were in already, was the exact reason for which he would never have survived in Roman’s place.
- You're wasting my time – he said, giving him an annoyed smile.
Jey didn't reply, cashing in without even a nod. He was good at cashing in, Roman acknowledged it, it was his talent, perhaps his only one, but it still wouldn't have been enough against him. He might be determined and willing to fight him one more time, but it would be no use. Roman had no limits and had learned over the years and blows what was needed to kept the role he had.
- Whoever will standing at the end decides, tha’s the deal, the stipulation. There's nothing else to say – he established, tone suddenly deadly heavy.
There was nothing he wasn't willing to do or lose to keep what was his.
He saw Jey nod, imitate him and stand up and in the silence of the room leave the table to join him. Face to face to each other, he stared at his reflection in his cousin's dark eyes, the ulafala still around his neck as it was in the photo of him on the wall and as it always would be. He squeezed Jey forearm and allowed that even if the bond between them no longer existed, their wolves shared a final breath.
Blood of my blood. Brother. Traitor.
When the air left his lungs again to fill them with the stale smell of the center, Roman let go without hesitation, Jey imitating him in a perfect mirror. However, was he who turned his back on his cousin this time to go away first, ignoring the wise man's sad look and those of the rest of the family outside waiting. Y/N who had been on the sidelines the entire time, unexpectedly joined him, her back straight and face betraying nothing as she took her place next to him. Roman didn't comment, there was nothing to say.
Two weeks and he would have control again. Only two weeks before moving on.

2018/19
This season, everything changed for you. To start, you made your first step and scored your first goals in Frauen Bundelsiga for Essen with your best friend Lena Oberdorf. Talking about the German player, you and her were known to be pretty close; your mom raised you alone, and she was not very surprised when you told her that you wanted to play football. Growing up in a family of football fans who had some relatives who played with the legend Johan Cruff helped. You started with a boy team, and that's where you met Lena; she was also a girl, pretty good, and despite her roughness on the pitch, you quickly became friends. She was a solid midfielder when you were a more agile and versatile player.
Life couldn't be better for you, but that's when we're talking about the second reason this season is so special for you. A few weeks before the end of the season, you planned to take a new step in your and Lena's relationship. You started to see her as more than a friend a few months after she assisted one of your goals. But life is not always so simple and so great.
In May, during a training session, the coach told you that your mom had a heart attack at work. Her life wasn't in danger, but they allowed you to leave earlier. At the hospital, the doctor told you that your mom overworked, and this was certainly caused by the stress. Your mom didn't tell you, but you knew she worked more than necessary to be sure she could attend your game without any work left to be able to celebrate with you every time you win.
But the worst happened when the doctor told you that she would need an aldut around to make sure it didn't happen. Another adult—that was the problem. You never really met your father; your mom divorced him when she learned that he cheated on her when she was pregnant. Of course you could call your grandma, but she was in Netherland, and you knew she was a little too old to keep an eye on you and your mom, and then the only available option was your aunt Marina.
After you called your aunt, she immediately booked a flight. You knew that in this situation, you had to do something you would probably regret your whole life. You had a meeting with the coaching staff to ask them something, and just before your last match, you had your response: at the end of the season, after only a few matches, you'd be a free agent and leave the country.
The girls knew nothing about that—well,  maybe just one, but you knew that if you had told her, she would make you doubt, but you couldn't. It was only when you were at the airport that you wished her good luck for the next season and told her about your departure.
2019/20
It's been more than two years since you left Germany. Of course, at first things weren't easy; you spent the first part of the 2019–2020 season literally jobless. You didn't have clubs; you continued to train on your own, but you spent almost all your time helping your aunt at her work. That was like this until you ran into someone you didn't expect to see after all these months: Vivianne Miedema, and she wasn't alone; she was with Jill Roord and Danielle Van De Donk.
Of course you knew who the forward was; she was literally one of your models when you started your career, but what you didn't know was that she knew you. After a few talks, you explained to her why you were not in Germany and, more importantly, why you hadn't played since the start of the season.
They were truly sorry for you and said they wished they could do anything, but you assured them that they couldn't do anything for that and that you would eventually try to found a new club even if you had to spend the rest of the season training by yourself. Apparently they decided to take things in her perfectly because only a few days later you received an unexpected call to let you know that after the three Dutch players talked about you to their head coach, Arsenal was open to giving you a chance, but you'd have to wait until the winter transfer window to offiacilize everything wich you accepted without thinking.
Until then, you continued your routine: help your aunt in her job—well, being not really qualified for it meant you just moved boxes all day, and after that, you spent some time with your mom and sneaked out in the night to train. That was like this until you signed. In Germany, Lena was attracting the interest of a few clubs when she saw the news. She wasn't really attracted to the WSL until then, and honestly, if it weren't for random posts on her Instagram feed, she would surely have missed it.
The midfielder wanted to call you to tell you that she was proud and happy for you that you could play again after what happened, but she knew you wouldn't reply. It was selfish, but since you moved, you gradually stopped speaking to your ex-teammates. At first, you said to yourself that was because you would probably drop the football a few months after you landed in London, but you finally accepted the reality. You didn't want to have anything that reminded you of the incident, but you were also too cowardly to say all the things you never said to her.
Your debuts were pretty good; of course you started on the bench, but when the coach gave you your chance, you took it. You even scored in your first London derby against Chelsea, and even if you lost, everyone could see that you were more talented than anyone else. But unfortunately, COVID came, and with that, the end of the season.
2022/23
A lot of things happened during those three years: first, your mom found a new job in your aunt's company; second, you signed another deal with the London club; and finally, the most important thing: you made your first steps for your national team. Being a Dutch player raised in Germany, the two federations wanted you in their team, but you decided to represent your mom and also spend more time with Viv, who had basically become your big sister since you joined the Gunners.
And it was with your oranje kit that you properly saw Lena for the first time in almost four years. Yes, Arsenal faced Wolfsburg last season in Champions League, but you were injured, so you couldn't play. During your pitch inspection, you noticed someone staring at you. You tried to distract yourself by talking with Esme and Vicky, but you were cut off when Lynn and Jill said that some of their Wolfsburg teammates wanted to meet you.
If Viv was your calm and collected big sister, Jill otherwise wanted to be the cool one. She always did some dumb thing to make you smile and see her as cool as she was. Lynn quickly grew into a very close friend of yours, even with the distance. After reluctantly agreeing, you made your way with the two girls to the German players.
Here you were in front of Lina Magull and Sydney Lohmann, who just got kicked out of the Champions League because of you, but like Jill said, there were also some Wolfsburg players, and that's how you found yourself shyly waving to Alex Popp, Feli Rauch, Svenja Huth, Jule Brand, and the only real familiar face, Lena Oberdorf.
Except for Viv (who was not there), Jill, and Dom (who knew how to put two and two together), nobody really knew about you and Lena. Well,  some knew you played together, but nobody knew you were very close friends, and you messed up (almost) everything after you moved to London.
"Guys, this is Y/n, she's a little shy, but she's very good on the pitch." Jill introduced you proudly.
"We already know that." Lina said, and you looked at your feet.
"Sorry," you mumbled, "but you are very good too." You added a little, unsure of what else you could say.
"Wait, are you the same Y/n who played for Essen with Lena?" Jule asked, and when you saw Jill smirk, you knew it was something she planned.
"Uh, yeah." You looked at Lena "Yeah, it was a good moment." You smiled lightly, but it was enough to be noticed by the midfilder. Something in you wanted to pull her away from anyone and tell her that you were sorry about everything, but before that, you had a game to play.
The game went pretty well, even if you lost only 1-0. You showed one of your best performances on the pitch until you got subbed off. After the final whistle, you made your way to congregate with the opponents. When Sydney asked for a jersey swap, you accepted, and the Bayern player was floating in your jersey. Her teammates didn't miss the opportunity to comment on what made Lena feel something—something she thought she had been above for a while now.
In the tunnel, you were talking with Dom when Lena came, slightly interrupting you, but the older Dutch player didn't seem to be bothered by that. "Can we talk?" She asked, and you nodded before following her. "So..." she started before pausing for a moment. "You played really well."
"Thanks, you too. It reminds me of when we were in the old time." You responded and almost instantly cringed at your word choice "Well, it's not that we're so old or anything; it's just that..."
"It's just that it's been a while since we've seen each other."
"Yeah, that's it." There was a little silence after your reply, like you were both processing what you just said.
"You...you've changed a lot since 2019."
"Uh, yeah, I grew up a little."
"And you did a little work out?"
"Oh that's? It's a funny story; when I went to London, I was free of any club, and I started to work for my aunt's company, but she just assigned me to the physical job, and after I signed for Arsenal, I kept doing this, and here I am now." You chuckled lightly at the end.
"I think it's funny that when we were little, I was the one who looked like a boy, and now look at you...you're...handsome." You lowered your head, hoping that Lena didn't see you blush at her compliment.
"Thanks, you are beautiful too." Now it was her turn to blush. "Maybe one day we should—" you couldn't finish your sentence before Alex called her teammate "I think it's our cue to leave," you said, and she nodded and quickly hugged you before she left.
Later this night, you sent her a DM on Instagram. You talked a lot, and before you forgot, you gave her your new phone number. Back in London, you were still in your little cloud until Vicky reminded you that your next opponent in the Champions League would be Wolfsburg, but before that, you had a game against Manchester United, where you unfortunately lost Leah.
At the end of April, you were in Germany, ready to play one of the biggest games of the season. The two teams made their way onto the pitch, and like everyone except  you were on the starting eleven. It was funny to see you being almost taller than every player, knowing that you were one of the younger. Your job today was to stop Sveindis' offensive and try to assist Stina in the box.
What should be a hard game became almost impossible when you were tackled by Lena for the first time rather early in the match. Lying on the grass, you took a moment to stand up until two people held you theirs hands. You unconsciously took one of them, and instantly, when your skin touched others, you felt a familiar warmth. On your feet, you were not disappointed when you saw Lena in front of you. She seemed a little worried, but you reassured her with a smile and a gentle tap on her shoulder. That was something she used to do every time an opponent was rough with you, and it became your thing to show that you cared about each other.
The match didn't go as planned, but you still gained a draw before the game at the Emirates. Back in London, you proposed to Lena that you see her before the next game. You told her that your mom wanted to see her. You felt relieved when she finally accepted, and now you had to wait a week to see her.
One week later, you were in your bedroom, emptying your wardrobe with Viv and Beth, trying to choose an outfit for the day. "Well, why don't you try the outfit that Daan brought you for your birthday?" the Dutch asked.
"I lost it," you instantly replied.
"How can you—" Beth started before being interrupted by another voice.
"Y/n always lost or forgot things," Jill said throught your phone. She proposed to help you with Lynn, so you facetimed them a few minutes ago, but they were more focused on whatever the young Dutch was watching on her phone. "Do you remember when she almost forgot her boots before a Champions League game?"
"Oh, come on, it was once," you groaned.
"Yes, but if Viv wasn't there, you would have spent the game on the bench." Beth reminded you.
"Okay, I think we got it; now can we focus on the really important thing?"
"Yeah, girls, let's focus. We're talking about Y/n's first date since a while." Lynn said, and you groaned again.
"It's not a date; it's just a lunch with my mom." You said.
"It's not?" The two girls thought the phone asked at the same time. "So why do you need us to pick an outfit?" Jill added.
"Because...because I promised to my mom that I'd try to wear something other than a jogger, and it's been a long time since I spent a whole time almost alone with Lena, so I want to look good."
"If you want to look good, you can just go without a shirt." Jill joked, making Lynn and Beth laugh, while Viv just sighed. Sorry, but well, you built a good body, so why not show her?"
"Is that even a serious question?" Viv asked while you picked some clothes in the big bazaar.
"Okay, I'll be right back," you said before exiting the room. The girls were talking until you received a text from Lena. Well, from what your teammates could see, 'Obi💪🧸'.
Obi💪🧸:
Ich bin auf dem Weg (I'm on my way)
You came back just when Viv was about to call you. Your two Arsenal teammates looked at you; they didn't say anything; they just let you get a little unsure if it was a good choice of cloth, but when you were about to speak, you heard Lynn and Jill cheering you on the other side of the phone.
"Go catch the girl," the midfielder said, and you rolled your eyes before you took your phone and saw the text from Lena. You didn't wait more before you left a little anxious, even if you didn't know why.
This afternoon was perfect; your mom was more than happy to see Lena again, and she didn't miss embarrassing you in front of her. When you drove her back to her hotel, you took some time to apologize about your departure a few years ago, but she told you that it was okay because she knew you couldn't do something about that. And after that, there was the game in London.
-----
At the end of the game, you lost 2-3. You were more than gutted, of course; you conced a goal in the last minutes of extra time. The Wolfsburg players came to congratulate you, and even if you found it cruel, you were still professional. Dom stayed with you until she was sure you were okay. Of course, Viv, Jill, and Lynn also came to check on you. You were trying not to be too emotional when Lena approached you. The Dutch players exchanged a look and gave you a quick glance to make sure you were alright before they let you with the German midfielder.
In this moment, a lot of thought invaded Lena's mind. She wanted to hug you to tell you it was okay and you fought pretty well, but she also knew that as someone who plays to win, it was not something she would want to hear herself. So she just gently rubbed your arm and gave you a weak smile. It was fascinating that even after all these years, she still understood you so much. "It was a tough game," she said, and you nodded. "I'm very happy and proud to see you play again, even if it would be better if we played together."
"You can come play here," you remarked, making her look at you with wide eyes. "I mean, if you want, of course. I don't want to force you to leave everyone; it's just that I miss playing with you too." You confessed, "And I'm sure you'd kill it in red." You joked.
"Thanks, but I'm not ready to leave my green shirt for now. But..." she started, making you raise your eyebrow to her. "But you can let me try yours to see if you're right." she explained. It took you some time to process what she meant, but when you did, you couldn't stop a little smile from appearing on your face.
"Very smooth, Oberdorf," you replied while you started to take off your shirt. Today was not particularly hot, but Lena sensed a hot wave rising in her body until it reached her face, and she started to blush. "And here for you," you said, holding her your shirt. Her eyes lost themselves a little on your tall figure before she took it and "maybe" brushed your fingers together on purpose.
She thanked you, and when she was about to take off hers, you stopped her. You didn't say anything until you quickly walked away toward Dom, who was talking with Feli. Lena had her eyes fixed on you through the entire process when you talked to the defender before she left you with her teammates and then came back with what seemed to be a Wolfsburg vest that she gave you, and you made your way back to your best friend.
"Where were you going?"
"I just needed that," you said, showing her the vest.
"For?" You covered her with her vest just enough to let her take off her shirt, protecting her from the public's view.
"Wow, did I miss an episode or something?" Vicky asked some players next to her when she saw what you did. The women around—who were basically all your team and some of Lena's teammates—turned their heads to where the Dutch were looking.
"Oh, Daan will really like that." Lynn was visibly excited to tell your national teammates that.
"Are they dating?" Gio asked.
"No, not yet, but don't worry," Jill said just loud enough to be heard by Dom, who was next to her and earning a strange look from Viv because of the expression she was making.
After your jersey swap, you walked with Lena to where you let almost everyone. You were close, but not close enough to permit anyone to misinterpret anything. Sometimes your arms would touch her while you were walking, and those little touches made you feel something deep in you. In the tunnel, you stopped her a little far away from the group, and the German looked at you with a confused look.
"Can you promise me something?" You started, and when she nodded, you continued, "Promise me that whatever happens in the final, you will not win."
"Yeah, I promise—wait, what?"
"Yeah, you heard me."
"But I want to win."
"And me too, but I want you to win the Champions League with me. That was your idea when we were little," you reminded her, and she laughed.
"I can't promise you that."
"Well, at least I tried," you joked. "More seriously, good luck for the final; I will come to see you."
"Thank you, and I wish you come. It would be different if you can't be there."
Later on the bus, Lena was questioned by a lot of her teammates. She knew that even if they were tired because of previous events, they wouldn't stop until they had their answers. But even if the German plaeyer was more than happy from your last interaction together, she felt like it was too soon to hope about something, despite all the teasing from her teammates and Jill's confession about the fact that she didn't see you so comfortable around someone other than Dom and Viv. While the midfielder was stuck with everyone's attention, the Dutch defender texted you, first to know how you were doing after you had to leave the pitch because of a bad tackle and then to ask you something about one of her next matches.
----
Two days later, you were told that your little injury would make you miss the next two games. You mentally cursed yourself because you knew when you went to the ball that you wouldn't avoid getting hit by the defender. Tryin not to overthink, you asked to take at least one week for you, which the coach was happy to give you. You used this week to help Laura and Leah with their injuries; you also spent some time with your mom and your aunt before you booked a flight to Germany. You don't know how, but your mom told you a few days prior that someone sent you a ticket for the DFB-Pokal final between Wolfsburg and Freiburg.
At the airport, you were surprised to see Lynn and Jill waiting for you. They helped you with your luggage, and they explained to you that the ticket was Dom's idea. Of course it was hers; she always perfectly knew how to read you, so when she saw how Lena talked about you and how you acted, she knew for you that somehow you may have the chance to finish what you couldn't a few years ago.
On the day of the final, the VfL locker room was more secretive than usual—at least that's what Lena was thinking. Except for Lena, all the players knew something special could have happened today. Sensing the weird atmosphere and some gazes on her, the midfielder asked Jule what was happening, but after a quick glance to her teammates, she found the courage to keep her mouth shut, even if it was more suspicious. But the short brunette didn't have too much time to think about it because they had to warm up before the kickoff.
The game started like usual, and at halftime, the two teams were 1-1. Even if the girls in black and green were a little pissed by the result, they were more concerned by something else: Lena hadn't spotted you in the crown yet. But it was a good thing; that meant she was totally focused on the game and nothing else. Back from the locker room, fifteen minutes later, you saw Lena talking with Sveindis, and the midfielder seemed to sense your eyes on her because she suddenly stopped and was about to search for a reason for this strange feeling, but she was met with Alex instantly. The striker looked at her teammates with a confused look before Lena shoved the strange feeling away and made herself ready for the second half.
Like you expected from them, Wolfsburg easily won at the end of full time. The joy quickly erupted from one side of the stadium, and of course, you were among the ones who were celebrating. After a few minutes, you waited for them to give both teams their medals and the cup for your best friend's teammates, and then you were escorted by a guy from security to the pitch to your own surprise. Once on the pitch, you were quickly dragged to the group of players by Lynn, and there you congratulated the girls until you found yourself behind a certain number 5. Ewa Pajor was talking to Lena until she saw you; she just looked at you and excused herself to her teammates.
A little confused Lena decided to search for Jule, but when she took a step back, she collided with someone, and when she turned around to apologize, she opened her mouth, but nothing came out. She blinked her eyes quickly, making you laugh, and when she heard your voice, she finally found her voice back. "What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Oh, rude. I thought you would be happy to see me," you replied.
She stood there for a moment, processing everything, and when she came back to her senses, she enveloped you in a tight hug. It took you by surprise, but you finished by reciprocating the hug. With her, everything seemed easier. The little touches, the confessions, the hugs and–and now it clicked in your mind, an almost forgotten feeling.
"I thought you wouldn't see me play until June, but wait, aren't you supposed to have a match this weekend?"
"Yeah, but thanks to a certain defender, I sprained my ankle, so I can't play for now, but I should be alright for the next week." You informed her.
"Oh, that sucks" she commented.
"Yeah, but I should be back in training the next Monday," you assured her.
"I see," she said, looking around to see a lot of eyes on her. "Uh, actually, it's cool that you are here because there is something I have wanted to ask you for a moment now."
"Uh, yeah, me too, actually." You smiled when you saw her surprised expression, but you couldn't brush away all the attention. "Do you mind if we go somewhere a little more calm?" She nodded, and you followed her a little farther in the tunnel. You stood there for a few seconds without saying anything; you were just admiring her. "So, first, congratulations for your victory; it was a great game; you played very well, like always." She blushed at your praise, "but I'm here for another thing. I want to tell you something, but please don't interrupt me until I finish, right?" After a little hesitation, she nodded.
"Okay, I don't know where to start, so I'll just start from the beginning. I wanted to apologize again for letting you go without telling you anything a few years ago. I know you already accept my excuses, but I need to tell you why I did what I did. At first, I planned to ask you out for the end of the season, and then it happened what happened but I didn't have the courage to talk to you about it because I feared that somehow you would reject me, so I used my travel as an excuse to stop talking to you. But then, there was this friendly game when I saw you, and when you didn't seem to be angry by that, I realized that I messed up. And after that, there was our first game in the Champions League, and my crush for you came back. Well,  it's not really a crush; it's a strongest feeling. It's like I'm–"
"In love?" Lena interrupted you.
"Uh, yeah, but how do you?"
"Because I feel it too. Honestly, I should be angry about everything, and I was when you left me, but then I learned what happened with your mom and I saw you play for Arsenal, and it was like all the anger dissipated because I had seen you for a long time and you seemed happy. I wanted to ask you out too before you moved out, but I never had the chance. I don't even know how long I've fallen in love for you, but I don't know it's—I don't know."
"It's easy?" You asked, and her look told you that it was exactly what she was searching for. "Me too. I don't know why, but it's so easy to fall for you. I don't know if it's because of your eyes, your smile, your heart, or everything, but yeah, I love you. So, after four years, I can finally say this: Lena, would you go with me tonight on a date?"
The midfielder wrapped her arms around your neck before slowly approaching your face. She gave you enough time to push her, but when you didn't, she kissed you. You only pulled appar when you needed some oxygen, and Lena was giving one of her brightest smiles.
"So?" you asked when you remembered she didn't give you a proper answer.
"I would love to."
"Great, I'll pick you up at 7 p.m." you said before quickly pecking her lips when you heard some footsteps coming in your direction. Lena's teammates found you totally engulfed in Lena's little body. You saw Jill and Lynn exchanging excited faces while Dom seemed to be proud of her work.
After the team saw the two of you, you were required by almost all the youngest players and Jill to explain what happened. Dom stayed behind with a blushing Lena: "I told you," the denfender told her. The midfielder just looked at her and gave her a hug to thank her.
