listen. I understand why the public has reacted the way it has to the death of a CEO that genuinely hurt millions of people with his policies. I understand this. and trust me, I also understand the irony of the lack of gun control leading to "One Of Them" suffering for it. I just don't think we should be gleeful about gun violence as soon as it purportedly benefits us. I don't expect many people to agree with me but I think it is in situations like these where I think it most important to demonstrate integrity and stick to one's convictions

#brian thompson #I'm not saying this to make people feel bad #i understand where this is coming from #it's a valid reaction to have when healthcare in this country is so inaccessible #and so many people needlessly suffer #but I've already seen multiple people say things like ''gun violence is okay when you kill a ceo''#and i know it's a joke #but i also know that the line between someone saying something ironically and then believing it #is a very thin one #and I'll say it #I'll be the one to say it #i personally don't think gun violence is a solution #even when it's in the hands of (assumed) leftists #and if the suspect does turn out to have a leftist agenda #that is leftist EXTREMISM #again i must reiterate #you should not feel forced to feel sympathy for brian thompson #but take a step back and actually sit with how you are personally reacting to what is inarguably gun violence
