Hello my dearest rhythm, I am back with my (still messy) thoughts on FPS part 2 🥹

First of all, i had to reread it cuz the first time that i saw it was after a day (or days) of hectic training when i just wanted to shut off my brain but i saw that u updated and my whole world sTOPPED, i swear i held my breath and thought i was hallucinating the new part 😭 i’ve been waiting for it for so long and it’s definitely worth it 🥹😭

I might babble a lot about it so if anyone hasn’t read it, pls don’t read this cuz it will have spoilers 😭

I WAS NOT PREPARED TO EXPERIENCE THE CONFLICT IN HIS HEAD WHEN THE REVEAL HAPPENED 😭😭😭😭😭 literally, i was holding my breath,, i wanted to cry too 🥹 MY BABIES, why should the world make them meet like that 😭 they just wanted to love and be loved huhu i hate u (i love u so much pls i know it hurt u too). Knowing everything that was going on in his head, gosh, I’m so crushed. I want to hold him and tell him it’s okay because he didn’t know it was her 😭 akshjsdjjdskbsjsjx

“The fact that you wouldn’t take his life puzzled him. How could you not want him dead? After all that had transpired, why wouldn’t you?” ——BECAUSE I LOVE YOU GOD DAMMIT 😭🤕🥹

The flashback to their first date 🥺🥺🥺 i wanna scream. Knowing how both of their lives were filled with chaos, them being able to find peace and comfort with each other is just sooooo wholesome. WHICH HURTS EVEN MORE WHEN I REALIZE ITS JUST A FLASHBACK——brb gonna go sob in a corner. “If I tried to kiss you… would you let me?”——😭😭😭😭😭i love love love how they get so spontaneous and relaxed with each other. I love how you wrote about it between the lines of their stressfully calculated and rigid line of work 🥹

3 freakin’ months of no contact 😭 i wonder what happened to MC then. Although you did write a bit about her forfeiting her mission and also, technically, her spot in the Guild, I wonder what she was thinking after everything. Three months is a (kind of) long time, and I guess like Chris, she would’ve been wondering all of her what-if’s. Did she ever think about contacting him too? Did she ever considered his side of the story? idk i’m just hurting with them at this point.

—i’m gonna skip the reunion but just know that i screamed and held my breath and punched the wall and banged my head on the desk and— yeah

The honesty and vulnerability between them is just so pure. The way they both pined for normalcy with each other is just *chef’s kiss* 🤍 i love them so much, it hurts how much shit they went thru even before they met 🥺 i’m not gonna spoil much about the rest of the story but i just want you to know that i loooove how you wrote them. Their stories feel so real to me and their emotions were very well conveyed. I love how the story went and, to be honest, i don’t think i mind the ending being open as much as I initially thought. (tho i wouldn’t complain if ur brain lizard decides otherwise— 👀)

that whole first scene recounting the reveal from his POV hurt me more than you can imagine. every time i sat down to write this story i felt like my heart was being squeezed (which was exactly what i was looking for sdjfhskdfh). Chris really just wanted to have that bit of peace he had with his girlfriend and it was ripped away from him ))):

as for what happened on the MC's side during those three months... i'm sure she almost called him several times, but, just like Chris, i don't think she was ready to face him. she had hurt him and tried to kill him (before she knew it was him, ofc), so she probably had to process all that, plus the fact that she couldn't finish her mission at all (which i'm sure was a whole different problem in itself). essentially, both her heart and her pride was hurt, and, honestly, if she hadn't heard those people talking about picking up her failed mission, i feel like she wouldn't have reached out at all (or at least not that "soon").

everything that happened at Chris' flat after they met again was very therapeutic to write for some reason??? idk, i feel like i was able to let a lot of feelings out writing this story in general, so i'm glad some of those feelings were conveyed well.

i really wanted to leave the ending a bit open so the reader could interpret what could happen next. they could run away together, one of them could retire, Chris could try to get the Kims to pardon her, or (for those that want a bit more angst) maybe you can even imagine she is deceiving him still, trying to fulfil her goal and that's why she came back... the possibilities are endless atp haha. all i know for sure is that i wanted to end this story with them together, so i did!

ShunsuiKyoraku:

- Kyoraku is the type of man who is sensitive to the feelings of thosearound him, with that in mind he would have picked up on S/O’s insecuritieslong before she opened up and talked to him about them. Even before hissuspicions were confirmed, whenever he noticed her queues, he would do his bestto try and counter her insecure thoughts, even if it were for a little while.

- Now that he is aware of S/O’s feelings ofinsecurity about her weight and size, he would make it well known that she isstill loved all the same. He actually finds it quite endearing! He’s the typewho would kiss these areas gently and tell them how much he loves every inch ofthem.

- He loves all her extra curves; he thinks she’ssuper soft and just more of her to hold and love.

- He’s also very good in understanding howtroubled she sometimes feels, so he always makes a point to be supportive andencouraging no matter what. His S/O’s feelings come first and he will doanything to make sure she has a smile on their face even on their worst ofdays.

- He’s very sincere and honest, so she willknow when he makes comments such as, “You look absolutely beautiful today____-chan,” he truly means it. He has all sorts of techniques up his sleeves toput that smile on her face. He’d make a point of picking up S/O (he gives thebest piggyback rides and is extremely skilled in the sweeping you off your feetdepartment) and carrying them around to subtly remind her that they are not tooheavy for him and that their size wasn’t going to change how he treated them.

- If anyone dared to say something hurtfulto his S/O about her insecurities, he has no qualms with standing up for herdespite his more passive nature. He would remain calm as ever, but with an intimidatinglook in his eyes, he would say, “Now now, why’d you have to go and saysomething so rude about such a pretty girl? That’s not how you treat a lady.”

- He’s also up for trying any ideas S/Ocame up with in trying to lose weight. He loves her the way she is, but hedefinitely want to contribute if it means helping them achieve their goal.

- If they wanted to go for a walk/run, he’dbe right there behind them with a supportive smile. If they wanted to try anddo a workout session at the gym, he may not be using the equipment alongside her,but he’s right there cheering her on telling her how proud he is of her andthat she looks super cool being all active. In short, he makes everything she’dtry fun and positive.

- Even if her methods don’t work; he’dnever love her less. If she were distraught because she didn’t lose any weight,he’d kiss away all her tears, give her a massage, and he’d look for any way totouch their perfect body and show them all the love they deserve and more.Kyoraku is always ready to support S/O and make sure she knows she is perfectin every way, shape, and form.

ShuheiHisagi:- Shuhei is a little bit of a dork, so he wouldn’tnotice S/O’s subtle queues on her insecurities about her weight and size untilhe finds her in front of a mirror pinching what she feels are problem areas.All of a sudden, he pieces all those queues she’s been giving together andalmost goes into panic mode. He would manage to calm down though, approach her,and try to talk to her about it.

- He wants to help, he really does. He can’tbear to see her so sad and doubtful about herself, but he has to talk to herabout it first so he can understand exactly how she is feeling. He doesn’t wantto say or do anything that may hurt S/O’s feelings.

- If he’s being honest, he didn’t evennotice that S/O was carrying a bit of extra weight. He was so absorbed with herhe didn’t even take note of her flaws. He’d be so confused at first, vocally wonderinghow such a beautiful creature could doubt herself like this, that S/O probablywouldn’t be able to help herself but laugh at the fact that he didn’t notice.He’s just so adorkable and sincere.

- He’s made it very clear that she doesn’thave to change for him, but if she wants to change for herself, then he’s therefor her and is willing to help in any and every way he can.

- He’s super good about exercising andquite literally, makes the best gym/work out partner ever.  He’s super pumped about everything and is anexpert at keeping the both of you motivated. He has all the tips and knowledgeto plan out and execute a well-balanced and effective work out for and withher. He also knows how to keep S/O’s feelings in mind, and can adapt theworkout to her needs and abilities. He doesn’t want her to feel overwhelmed or thinkthat she’s a disappointment.

- He makes going to the gym fun as wellwhich is a huge bonus.

- This also gives him an opportunity to be “smooth”with her. He’s always telling her that she’s beautiful to see her like this;trying her hardest and doing her best. Also he always makes comments on howsexy she looks after a workout, no matter how sweaty or messy she looked.

- He’salso really good at balancing everything out. He’s the first person to tell S/Othat having fun is important, and that it’s important to take time to relax andtreat herself as well. Ultimately, he wants her to be happy, and he knows thathard work must accompany play time as well.

- When he notices that she’s lost a littleweight, he will make sure she knows how proud he is of her and how happy he is forher.

- And even if she doesn’t, her weight isn’twhat made him fall in love with her. He loves the way she cares about things,how hard she works, and how tries to live her life to the fullest. And even onher bad days, he’s there for her, ready to stay inside with them, cuddled upunder a blanket and having her sit in his lap as they watched all their favouritemovies to cheer her up as he gave her neck and shoulder kisses from behind soshe knew how irresistible she was to him.

-  Overall, he’d make sure he’s paying attentionto S/O more closely to make sure he notices whenever she starts getting botherby something, whether it’d have something to do with her self-image, or evenjust having a bad day at work. He’s there for her, and he doesn’t want her tosuffer in silence. He makes sure she’s spoiled; even on her good days shedeserves to be praised and told how beautiful she is.
