#it's 1am I have to sleep gosh darn

Happy Valentine’s/Palentine’s Day! well not really anymore it’s almost 1am for me and I have school tomorrow rip

I actually didn’t want to do something for today, but then I just couldn’t stop thinking about Toshinori with a ton of yellow roses

....And then I started writing a fic for the picture in my mind and who gave him all the roses

Note: In Germany instead of giving out chocolate it’s more common to gift your loved ones roses, giving each color a different meaning. Red is obviously romantic love, but yellow flowers are a sign of platonic love and friendship...

Now to the fic......... it’s totally messy, because I started writing it still in school and since my mom also took me out for an obvious dinner today, I didn’t have much time in between everything... 

I hope you still enjoy it (tho it’s not really needed to understand the picture. I just felt in the mood to write a lot of fluff lol)

It had been a completely normal day...

or so Toshinori had thought, but it seems he might have missed something as he realized on his way to work.

There were way more people on the streets than usual or rather there were more people in couples slowly walking around, not caring much for their surroundings.

How peculiar... but nothing to crack your skull about.

He thought until he received the first flower. It had been Uraraka that found him first, greeting him with a loud “All Miiiiiiight!”

Surprised he had turned around, facing a yellow rose floating right in front of his eyes. In surprise he flinched and taste of blood filled his mouth, but he managed to keep it in. Behind the flower he saw Uraraka smiling at him brightly.

“What's this?” Toshinroi asked plucking the floating flower from the air. Upon closer view it was clear that the flower was just about to bloom, maximizing its remaining lifetime

“A valentines rose! It's for you, All Might!” This other than before proved as too much of a surprise for the man and he spit out blood, in vain he tried to spare the flower, but a few drops landed on it nonetheless. Resulting in bright red spots on the flowers petals. He was almost tempted to watch the blood slowly dripping of the them, but Uraraka got his attention back by giggling as she pulled a tissue out of her bag, handing it to Toshinori and disappearing just as fast as she had appeared shortly before.

Valentine's Day! Now that was a day Toshinori had completely forgotten about, That would also explain the couples he had seen on his way to the school.

But why would young uraraka give him a rose? It's something you usually give to the person you love. And wasn't it more of an anonymous thing these days anyways?

The next flowers only surprised him all the more, almost showering Tooru and Mina who had come up to him pulling up flowers from behind Minas back.

Big smile on both of their faces, Toshinori could basically feel Tooru beaming at him. The two ignored the confusion of the man as they gave him their flowers, advising him to get a big vase to prevent the flowers from drying out.

“Wouldn't a small vase be enough though...?” Toshinori wondered as he watched the girls scurry off back into the schools corridor. And where would he even find a vase in a school?

Which was when a familiar voice sounded behind him “Well, aren't you a ladies man, All Might?”

He turned around to look at the smiling old woman standing there “Chiyo! It's not what it looks like. I have no idea what has gotten into those girls!”

“Not only the girls I'd say” Chiyo pointed behind him upon saying this.

Upon turning around Toshinori saw Shouji and Satou standing in front of him, both with a flower. They both gave him their flower, leaving Toshinori even more confused. Before going away though Satou turned around again, getting something out of his bag.

Giving him a box of chocolates he said, “Sorry, I just don't think just the flower is enough”

And after that he was gone as well, Chiyo next to Toshinori however let out a sigh motioning him to follow her “A big vase the girls said, correct?”

“Y-yes” the flustered Toshinori answered following after the tiny woman.

By now he had finally understood that this was something his students planned, all of them were probably going to give him a yellow rose, but he didn't quite understand the sentiment behind this action. Wasn't Valentine's Day supposed to be a time of dating?

Chiyo quickly located a vase and gave it to him, shortly he considered to just leave the vase in the teachers room, but that notion was quickly discarded as the roses just kept on multiplying.

He was surprised to even get one from young Bakugou, not that he had lost a word about it, but just dumping the rose in the filling vase.

The last person to approach him was Izuku. Unlike the others though he carried two roses, handing them to him the easily embarrassed boy started blushing.

“The girls read this magazine a few days ago” Izuku starting fidgeting with his hands. “And it had an article about how Valentine's Day is celebrated in different countries...”

Oh? Did the class send out Izuku to finally give Toshinori answers to the questions that stemmed from today?

“In the article they read that it is unusual in Germany to give chocolates on Valentine's, but that it is more common to give roses and the different colors have different meanings. While red roses are obviously associated with love in general and mostly romantic love, yellow roses stand for platonic love or friendship”

Izuku paused again and gave him a bright smile, cheeks still red.

“So we decided it would be nice to exchange some! And then we all kind of just agreed on us all giving one to you and to not everyone give them to one another. That way we know they're all save in the same place with a person we all love!”

Yet again on this day Toshinori spit blood. His students last words had taken him by surprise. But as much as they surprised him they also warmed his heart and he could feel his own cheeks redden as he wiped the blood away.

“Thank you for telling me, my boy. It makes me happy to know that my students would think of an old man like me” Giving Izuku a big grin and ruffling the boys hair with one hand, the vase in the other.

“But you're not old, All Might...” Izuku responded having a big grin on his face as well.

“So might you tell me who this second rose is coming from?” Toshinori asked avoiding answering to Izukus statement

“Oh, I told my mom about our plan and she told me to give you one from me as well.” Something behind Toshinori seemed to catch Izukus attention and the shy look on his face disappeared, replaced by a smile yet again. “Ah! There are the others! I have to go and tell them you loved the flowers!”

And with that the last student of class 1-A vanished in mere seconds, but instead of leaving Toshinori with confusion, he was left with a big grin on his face and if you looked hard you could still see a slight blush.

20 yellow roses from his students and one rose from Inko prominently stood on Toshinoris desk in the teachers room for the next week.

But instead of the vase disappearing like Toshinoris students could do so well, one could see different flowers adorn it every week or so.

Why doesn’t anyone talk about Kars’s leg blade?

I mean- I get he only uses it once and in Eyes of Heaven its like a cool ground kick move- but like there’s not even an “Araki Forgot” joke. Araki probably didn’t forget. I headcannon Kars either doesn’t use it often because he doesn’t like ruining his shoes- but a more likely reason is he a) As one guy posted on tumblr doesn’t really watch where he steps and probably uses his arms more often because arm blades might be easier to control or b) Its really awkward and goes to them as a last resort measure - I don’t know- you guys tell me what you think.

Anatomically, it makes sense. It makes sense that if you have arm blades that you’d probably have blades in your legs and perhaps other bones as well- but legs would make more sense (think of the little girl I can’t remember the name of from Logan who had two claws in her hands and one coming out of her foot. Technically it makes sense and I know they had an explanation involving a lioness- but let’s get back to talking about Kars).

It also makes sense since unlike your forearms (where the “brilliant bone blades” on Kars would be) and there’s two bones in the leg. Its probably safe to say the fibia (smaller bone in the leg) is the foot blade. However, that opens up another explanation on why Kars probably doesn’t use it that often... it’ll affect how he stands. That’d be embarrassing to have a foot blade out and- whoopsie doodles. Although, if he practiced his hook kicks a little more and maybe some axe kicks (I used to do martial arts) he could be effectively deadly maybe even more than the arm blades. But alas... Kars loves his buff arms too much. Gosh darn it- Kars could’ve avoided a lot of damage, caused more damage maybe, maybe even win fairly against Lisa Lisa, broken out of Joseph’s rope trap if only he remembered to practice kicking for once and pay attention to his feet.

Wait- maybe that’s what Araki was trying to display when he walked into Whammu’s shadow. Kars doesn’t think to pay attention to his feet and therefore is limited in his thinking and fighting style... or is it? I don’t know. Its almost 1am and I was going to bed- then I decided I wanted to rant about Kars’s leg blade while it was on my mind and after some refreshing of my memory realized Kars’s would’ve been more effective and avoided a lot of problems if he kicked and used his feet. Remember that. I might condense this some other time or make a video.

Ahhh, that moment right before you sleep and it's so gosh darn peaceful and then BAM you get an idea and you know you have to write it down because you're gonna forget it in the morning so you get up to do that only to keep having an onslaught of ideas killing your 1AM brain cells and all I wanted to do was go to sleep and now I'm just tired and hungry af but I already brushed my teeth a lifetime ago what is life what are we doing here are we only here to suffer

1. If it’s 1am and you’re still awake and wanting to talk to someone, who do you call and what do you talk about?

Probably Gemma, and that’s only because if I’m still up at 1AM she’s most likely to be awake. Lucy likes to fall asleep early. Well she claims she falls asleep late but more often than not she’s falling asleep by 11 because she’s been binging / writing since early in the morning. If she were awake I’d talk to her. But if I talked to Gemma I’d talk to her about how cute Lucy’s snore is. 

2. Are you the big spoon or the little spoon?

I wish I could be a spoon! Because then at least she would hold me while she was eating ice cream! Lucy doesn’t cuddle. So I cuddle with Franklin while we sleep and he sleeps on me. So no spooning in the styles/woodward house hold!

3. If you could only listen to one band/artist for the rest of your life, who would it be?

Fleetwood Mac. 

4. What kind of drunk are you?

I’ve been told I’m affectionate. 

5. Are you a team player or do you prefer to go solo?

Team, always a team. Going solo is fun and it’s fun to be pushed to my own limits, but at the end of the day working in a team has always pushed me to work harder than I do on my own. In all aspects, writing, singing, anything you throw at me.  

6. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I’ve always wanted to be a rock star. But I tell people lawyer ;)

7. What’s your ultimate feel good/pick me up TV show or film?

Love Actually. Maybe the Notebook. Or Titanic. 

8. What is one scent that reminds you of home? Why?

The way it smells after a rain storm, and a freshly blown out candle. I always liked to walk around Holmes Chapel after it rained always makes it feel like home. And we went through so many candles at home that normally as one blew out another was lit. Here though; the smell of Franklin’s shampoo and waffle cones. I shouldn’t have bought Lucy an at home thing to make waffle cones. 

9. If you were given a blank piece of paper and a pen, what would happen?

I would write. Don’t know what. But I would write. 

10. What are your top three most used emojis?

Me? Using emojis? I don’t use those.

Journey to self care

This isn't so much to make me happy but at least a little healthy and in control of my life.

I'm going to attempt to slowly go by a step by step system/ to-do list of things I need to accomplish for basic self care that I tend to neglect out of habit.

Some of such things being:

- eating breakfast (really standard, use to not eat because it would be to early but not I don't have that excuse and it's just habit now)

- showering for days/week at a time (yeah it's gross, I like to take showers at night and accidentally stay on my computer too long/do all school work the night before and I'll miss the chance)

- washing bed sheets (this just sounds like a little thing that might better my life, at least that's what I hear from other self care blogs and peoples)

- basic ass morning/night routine (I got brushing my teeth hella down, but I got nothing for washing my face which is in desperate need of attention)

- treating my self to goodies (I got way to many snacks and way to many treats that I always put off for special occasion or because I'll think I'll want it more in the future than I do now)

- doing school and chores (I can survive doing assignments the night before but it ain't really healthy so I need to rewire my brain to have dead lines before dinner rather than before 1am)

That's all I can think of right now so let's get into it

Day 1

So I'm slowly applying these things, if I do it all at once I'm for sure gonna get burned out, stressed out and crash.

So first thing first imma need energy to exist as a human being, to get me through that college class I don't like anymore or the fact that I only got less than 5 hours of sleep cuz I was doing work the night before.

I need some from breakfast.

Now food has always been touchy with me, to put it simply I don't like it. I don't have that bad of a body issue, I'm just the cutest person in the world brimming with confidence. But I'm a twig and am super weak, one hit and Imma crumble and break faster than spiderman when Thanos turned him to dust. My ribs stick out and my good jeans don't fit any more. So I need to quit skipping meals. My problem is the texture and taste of food, I hated food so much that I would rely on a single thing to eat every day. It went from corndogs to raviolis to chicken nuggets, these would be my lunch for years at a time before I got literally sick of eating them and repulsed by even the smell. Obviously I know better now and am revolving and adding variety to what o eat so that doesn't happen again. I just gotta try new foods and eat what I can.

Yesterday I had a breakfast burrito, it was amazing eating something warm while waiting in the cold outside of my class so I though I could get use to it. Well turns out my body is so use to eating only two meals a day that when I got home I was not once hungry for lunch. My blood sugar didn't drop, my stomach didn't grumble, the normal signs of being hungry just weren't there and I wasn't going to force myself to eat.

So I ate breakfast but still skipped lunch

Today is farmers market day at my college and I really wanted to try some of the food vendors out even if it wasn't typically breakfast foods. Got myself the best gosh darn tamale I've ever had. Next market day I'm trying a vegan one they offer. Ate my food, didn't explode, die, or cry so so far so good. This day by day journey shall soon get me to be eating the standard three meals a day.
