The only reason I watched Outlaw Star when I was like 12 was because the place I hung out online was like "YO THEY GOT BOOBS IN EPISODE 23 ON THE OUTLAW STAR DVD!!!" and when I went to go borrow the DVD from my brother he was like "hey listen just make sure you skip Episode 23 when you get to it" and after agreeing to do so the first thing I did was scroll to every scene I could find of Aisha Clan-Clan.

YES i was going to make a post about it thank you for letting me yap :) So canon-divergence-wise the main thing is that Dipper never met the manotaurs/multibear and so he still feels insecure at Mabel and Stan poking fun at him and his lack of 'masculinity'. Additionally, in this AU, Mabel keeps a diary of all of their adventures!

Dipper (as per in the show) sees "The Author" as the pinnacle of masculinity, he's mysterious and from the Journal's POV Ford presents himself as very logical and justifies his own poor treatment of others as part of his Lone Wolf Scientist persona---but when Ford comes through the portal, he's older and has had some time to reflect on his past and while he still carries some bad habits, he's remorseful and embarrassed of how naiive he was in his youth.

Dipper is insecure of the diary being mushy and feminine and so he says he had no part in making it, so Ford takes on Mabel as his apprentice instead (which also makes sense as he surrounds himself with people who are creative, actionable, like Stanley), and Dipper grows resentful because it was supposed to be HIM and Ford growing closer, and if he has to go back home without Mabel standing up for him-

So Bill comes in and sees this angry insecure sweaty preteen boy and realizes he is the EASIEST target to manipulate, and convinces him to distance himself from his family because Ford has become Emotional and Soft and isnt the same man he was as The Author, and then the Weirdmaggeddon plot is basically the same but swapped with Dipper being the one to hand over the rift but he finds out Bill was trying to get at Ford the whole time and everything he thought was "Facts and Logic" was actually just Old Man interpersonal messy relationship issues but everything is fine in the end and he learns not to get pipelined The End

Dear Diary,

Don’t tell mama this, but sometimes I wake up SUUPPPEERRRR early, way before it’s time to, when it’s all still really dark. And instead of going back to sleep, I stay up to secretly watch the Leader go about their nighttime chores. It’s nice to see them still taking care of us even when we sleep! But that’s not the only reason I stay up, cause sometimes the Leader’s black cat joins them! Sometimes he helps, sometimes he just keeps them company. But every once in a while, they slow down and take each others hands, and DANCE! It’s so pretty! And romantic! So much so that after a while I go back to sleep to give them their privacy. I hope one day I’m able to make someone as happy, and in turn makes me as happy, as the Leader and Mr. Cat make each other!

went to pride today and had a lovely time :) all of the furries and queens and teenagers in town seemed to be there. i'm For Sure gonna be kind of fucked up tomorrow because my body is not well enough currently to be on its feet in 80f/27c weather for five hours, but!! dignity of risk and all that. i talked to so many queer people and partook in so much queer joy and that was way more important than my ability to leave my bed tomorrow :D
