He even googled foods from Melbourne and discovered pigs in blankets is something they're both easily into eating a secret box of, smuggled from Tesco to the weird little flat they sometimes stay in in Woking

Lando's style is his own business but Oscar reserves the right to take the piss out of it when he deserves it. It's not a bad thing. Or at least, it shouldn't be. People on TikTok make out like they're never apart and body language freaks on YouTube say they're tired of each other but they're not. The more time they spend together, the easier it is. The harder it is to imagine how they exist apart.

Just as well, really, if they're getting married. Makes her bundle Lando up against her, like even imagining what separating them would be like is a thought crime she needs to protect him against.

It's pretty sweet, being Oscar Piastri, this time.

"I don't want to take the plug out," Lando mumbles into her armpit. "Do you think it'll set off the scanner things?"

list of expectations for the upcoming dev conference / livestream bc i can't sleep:

- anniversary news is almost guaranteed. batter will likely be getting one of the s-tiers, but it's not confirmed if it'll be in the shop or the essence. this may also be when undead gets his new skin, but i'm much less confident on that. four skins will be revealed: the s- and a-tiers from the essence, and the s-tier that'll be in the shop. the corresponding event will also be teased / discussed.

- once / backdrift and ivory tower skin news. definitely one once skin and at least one ivory tower skin (possibly two). this could be when we get the hunter ivory tower skin that was announced forever ago.

- no new character news. sorry, but they already have two characters waiting to be released (as i believe faro lady will already be available in-game by the date the livestream is planned for), and adding a third while giving nothing on the two already revealed would just overhype fans. if they do, for some reason, reveal a new character, it will likely be the acrobat identity switch they've been teasing lately.

- speaking of new characters, i highly doubt goatman's essence will be revealed; it's too early in the season to reveal the third essence. again, any essence news will likely be tied to the anniversary. i'd be happy to be proven wrong, though.

- we'll probably be getting news on collabs. my safest bet is news on the collaboration with the arthur conan doyle estate, which will reveal the skins (and other in-game content) we'll be getting; novelist is almost definitely getting a skin. it feels a bit early to reveal news on the return of the persona 5 collab, but it's possible. other new collabs could be revealed too.

- no logic path, coa, deduction star, nymph awards, or rank accessory news. it's too early in the season for lp and accessory news, and FAR too early in the year for ds, nymph, and coa news. if you want an estimation on those last three: october at the earliest for ds news, november for nymph, and december for coa. i can't give an estimate on lp or accessories as those vary depending on when the current season ends.

- new maps, gamemodes, story updates, etc. will at least be touched on. my best guess is a possible release date for mercenary's diaries and an update on the murder mystery gamemode that was revealed during coa7.

- a new truth & inference offline package is possible but i wouldn't hold my breath considering that we got wu chang's relatively recently.

- possible news on the idv-es skins, either an in-game showcase or a reveal of their hunter. i'm hoping they clear up the confusion around the designs because a lot of us are still a little unsure about them, especially naib's.

- news on the "mysterious event" announced on the june calendar, if it isn't covered by any of the above points.

hi anon thanks for stopping by! i don't have many spoilers rn bc hiatus so here's my plans for the next couple months instead also yuri thighs

im actually still mulling over releasing something for April just bc the May thing is huge like not something I've ever attempted writing across my eight fics lmao, don't wanna spoil too much but basically Karina lol finally

if I do come up with something for April it will most probably be Discordant Waltz part 3, have it mostly mapped out pre-writing so just a bit more but I have started writing it before hiatus just to see where it goes. the series is very fun to write I just hope I can stick with it till the end I don't wanna abandon it :<

Some KH ramblings as I play through the entire series for the first time...

I've only played and finished KH1, Days and DDD despite owning the rest for quite some time now and I don't know what awoke the urge but I finally got my ps4 back from my dad so I can properly experience the series myself rather than through watching cutscenes (and honestly I only really remember maybe 60-70% of cutscenes, which is mostly sea salt fam related). I replayed KH1 final mix, thinking I played KH1 final mix originally but honestly I think I first played the ps2 version (I do have a copy for the ps3) because I remember so vividly grinding for materials for the ultima keyblade, when I couldn't even unlock the recipe thise time around. I don't really plan to try to 100% or platinum everything any time soon.

KH1 is KH1, not much to say, got a bit nauseated by the camera in Hollow Bastion specifically for some reason.

RE:Com on the other hand. Oh boy... One of my earliest tweets about this game was about how I found it insufferable. Actually looking at the tweets I did post I was struggling a lot. In defense of RE:Com that insufferable tweet came after I made the rookie mistake of going to Wonderland FIRST because I thought I was supposed to go in KH1 order. After I grinded in Traverse Town for a bit I was fine...

After playing through the game (thank you youtube card deck guides), including Reverse/Rebirth, I can honestly say that it wasn't all that bad. I think it wins points for being unique with its gameplay.

I still wasn't great at it... had to redo some bosses a few times, literally won against Ursula (who was supposed to be easy, oops) with a 0 card and cures, over and over because I panic spammed my deck away. I beat Marluxia first time though! That's something right! I was so relieved that I actually put my face in my hands lmao

Anyway... I'm currently playing KH2 and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. BBS and KH3 are the games I'm still looking forward to playing the most and I tweeted about how KH2 was like the raimi spider-man movies to me. Talked so highly of at the expense of the other games that I was a little put off, but like those movies, I am experiencing them for myself and they aren't so bad.

Having played Days, but not playing KH2, and then finally playing as Roxas in his last week... just about killed me. Twilight Town in KH2 is so good, I can't wait to see it in KH3.

"Not the hints to the akusai divorce lol" I think this was re: Saïx and Xemnas talking and oof, I did not remember that cutscene at all... it probably wasn't what they were hinting at but it hurt all the same.

I think I paused before the worlds visit round 2 for an Echoes of Wisdom break and I'm back now! About level... 42 ish going to Halloweentown for the second visit. I don't know how far that is but I assume 60%?

Xaldin cooked my ass, Mickey had to save me twice but second time it was because Donald prioritised healing Beast instead of Sora. Also, gotta say, hate anti-form. Level up limit forms they said, it'll help you out with bosses they said. Nah, gotta run around until anti-form runs out so I don't die immediately. Am I playing that form wrong??

I was playing tug of war with myself but I will be replaying Days for DS then watching the movie (and doing the same with Re:coded) after this.

Man, I just... have so much more I wanna talk about it's awful dhgkjdfg I wouldn't want to bother any mutuals about it if it's not something they care for... Oho. Literally everything. Life as a whole. Everyone makes everything look so damn easy and it leaves me wondering what went wrong with me (I know damn well what's wrong with me lmao but I don't wanna change it)

Oh but to be specific it's hard to explain so I hope I make sense but appearances. I know even the prettiest people have their insecurities but it seems like everyone else knows what to do with themselves. Whether it be hair, clothes, makeup. I have to ask my bestie all the time because it's the one thing I don't get is how people are like "imma do this! I think it'll look cool!" Like how are you SURE? How do you just know what looks good in you and what doesn't?

It took me five years to nail my eyeliner. Fucking eyeliner. And it'll probably take me another five to figure out if I can even wear eyeshadow.

10. What's your boring hobby (that you still enjoy anyway)?

This is another hard one cuz I do quite a bit of hobby hopping now. In the span of a year I went from jewellery making, cross stitch, painting, clothes making, and clay. I didn't have any hobbies prior to that, let alone "boring" ones so I don't really have an answer haha.

I've had seven (there's way more but they're the core ones) imaginary friends since I was 14. I'm currently twenty, and hoping they don't go away, there have been a couple times I've "lost" my ability to daydream and I felt so broken because they stem from a time I was so lonely I only had myself and I love them so dearly. So if you ever see me talking about my OCs (original characters), I mean them. I'm so unbelievably attached and can talk about them forever haha. Oooh I'm intrigued by Time stopped!

This is. Actually one of my earliest fics! Back when I was actually engaging so much with writing I was doing random challenges for forums and taking requests and basically going "that bit in canon is interesting but not really looked at WHERE'S MY CROWBAR--"

Time stopped is one of the latter. It's in the Rurouni Kenshin fandom. I don't know if you're familiar, but in case not the main character is one who worked as an assassin in the Bakumatsu period and then swore he'd never kill again, and to that effect he switches swords to a sakabatou, (reverse-blade sword), which generally means he goes around breaking bones with the blunt backside of a katana I guess. (This is akin to Daredevil where the man says he takes no lives but leaves a trail of people behind him who are very obviously going to die from grievous head wounds, but EH. Shounen.)

Anyway, there's an arc in the manga where Kenshin loses his sakabatou, and during his hunt for a new one comes across a psychopath holding a toddler hostage, and the only sword Kenshin has to hand is one from a shrine nearby. He doesn't want to draw it because he knows his instincts will take over and it'll be a killing strike, but the psychopath goes to kill the toddler and so he has no choice. He draws, he strikes. There's an extended moment where everyone's going OH SHIT SON, HE BROKE HIS VOW.

...and then it turns out the temple blade is, in fact, also a sakabatou, and he killed nobody.

AUTHOR: See? He didn't break his vow, all is well. Me: Yes he fucking did, don't pull that shounen shit with me. And the thing is, I'll stand by the fact that, sure, nobody actually died...but Kenshin struck to kill, despite his oath not to do any such thing. The spirit of his vow is broken. And he spends the rest of that episode/chapter being so lowkey and beaten down and depressed sounding that he knows it.

Anyway, Time stopped was a study of that particular moment and dissecting it down to the bone to reflect that. Very unlikely to be continued given /gestures at RK author scandals. There's not very much of it, hence you get this longwinded explanation instead of any actual piece of it lmao. (And for a fandom you are probably not involved in! Sorry |D)

just wanted to say your reasoning behind writing almost exclusively for hwa is very relatable. i don't write, but i can't bring myself to read a fic about any other member. in the past i reviewed a few skz fics for a friend, and sometimes still do it for atz, but it's less for pleasure and more because i just wanna help people or someone asked for my opinion. i just don't see any other member or any other idol actually that way. hwa just hits different lol. i recently started a really good fic a lot of people recommended (it was a bts one), because it sounded very interesting, but i kept imagining seonghwa and it felt strange, but my brain just autoreplaced the member with hwa.

i remember reading we ransacked the city, i really enjoy that one, but ngl it was a bit hard to read smut with hongjoong, he's a pretty and hot guy and my other bias in atz, but i'm just not into him the way i'm into seonghwa, y'know? i'm barely into men anyways, so maybe that's why jkcjckvkcdnjddjshdjv.

i don't write but i do art and honestly whenever i start drawing i end up with seonghwa, it's a bit annoying sometimes, because i plan on drawing someone else, but the final product is SEONGHWA 😅 he's my muse as well. the chokehold he has on us, istg, what a guuuuuuy.

i started writing these fics just on the cusp of my bias switching from hongjoong to seonghwa which you can kinda see in the masterlist especially when hwa appears in best friend's code which i hadn't really planned nor intended but he was wiggling into my head.

we ransacked the city felt kinda like the last breath before converting fully to losing my mind to hwa. (sidenote: it also is probably the ateez fic i am least pleased with. it didn't turn out the way i wanted, i don't think i nailed the vibe i was looking for, and i experienced burnout in writing it so it also mentally marks a different turning point in writing these fics.)

i think a lot of ppl are surprised when i say that even though i got into ateez at debut, hwa didn't become my bias until around fireworks/kingdom era. i originally assumed that after a few months i would be burnt out on writing about him (due to my adhd) but instead, it has just steadily grown with each passing month with no sign of stopping. seeing him irl at the concert only stoked the flames.

i'm bisexual and my attraction to men really ebbs and flows. for awhile now, it has been at a pretty low point minus seonghwa who is always just able to drive me absolutely insane lmao. while every member of ateez is stunning (mingi hit me hard live as i think he did the entire crowd honestly) something about seonghwa just...impacts me differently.

so yeah, you absolutely understand what it is like to sit down and want to create a piece and then it ends up being seonghwa AGAIN. i decided not to fight it and write what i want and if that means every single fic i write is hwa then so be it. if that means sometimes i write another member but i include hwa, that's just how it'll be. i've made my peace with it. the way i feel writing someone else vs hwa is night and day and i believe it reflects as such in the work because i've gotten a lot of comments and remarks on how the work feels when it is about hwa.

(I'm on desktop but pretend there's a sunglasses emoji here)

TL;DR at the top: Yeah, headmates can have an effect on quite a lot of this stuff. Especially if your system is affected by dissociation, physical symptoms that affect sensory input are possible, but make sure to also rule out anything else in case it could be something worth concern. Logging it when you notice this stuff can help long-term in determining a possible pattern.

Long version is under the cut because we are verbose af (sorry lol).

CN: discussions of dissociative episodes, medical topics

So, firstly it's important to mention that, obviously, these things can also be caused by other things than dissociative symptoms. For example, in our case, we're autistic; when we're experiencing sensory overload episodes, the perception we have of a lot of sensory data is skewed and/or processed a little sideways. So something that normally may have a nice taste or scent may suddenly taste or smell like the worst thing in the world.

Chronic and acute conditions both can affect your sensory input/perception, and I mostly state this because, while some of this stuff is in the purview of our special interests, we're also not medical professionals lmao.

That out of the way, regarding headmates affecting bodily functions, we've found in our experience that some of our fronters will experience sensory input differently than others (with some intersection with the above example regarding our autism and how it affects our plurality). I can't find the post right now, but I do know that this is also something other systems have experienced; there's a specific post that talks about physical symptoms of dissociation, and that may be worth looking into if you think it can help with the situation. (Please be mindful of your needs when doing research, and if you find it is causing undue stress, be sure to take breaks <3 [/ci].)

Since you mention that this is a bit of a new thing, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to log when y'all notice sensory weirdness. If there's any kind of pattern or correlation, either regarding triggers/different headmates/etc., the more you keep track of these things the easier it'll be to tell. If you already have a health journal, it might be worth putting there; or if you track switches (like with an app such as Simply Plural or PluralKit), having a way to denote when this occurs may offer you some convenience later on when trying to assess the data.

We also would be remiss if not noting that in our experience, different headmates may experience sensory input in line more with how they function or appear in headspace. Again, this tends to line up with the dichotomy of our autism, specifically in regards to sensory seeking vs. sensory averse modes. Smell and food-related senses are easiest for us to notice these changes in, since we experience chronic migraines as well (and these are often triggers for our episodes); some headmates may not be triggered by scents that would trigger other headmates into an episode.

For a non-sensory related example, we have headmates with less keen spatial and temporal awareness that will oftentimes either struggle with dexterity-based tasks or ones that are unkind to our need for cognitive stimulation. A task that is easy to "zone out" during for one headmate suddenly becomes a task in which ten minutes feels like an eternity, because the headmate(s) that has switched in is more interested in doing something that requires thoughtful input.

Needless to say, this is all a very complex subject. We wish you the best of luck finding the words that best fit your experiences. At the very least, though, we can say with certainty: yes, headmates can affect perception.

Baal is a dps with her ult but otherwise support, kazuha is a main dps with shit artifacts because virdescent hates me, childe, yanfei and ayaka are all sub-dps's(all honestly do real nice as regular dps's) that i switch out depending on what i'm doing, eula i just got and have been speed building(physical dps)(just need more mora), qiqi is a healer, and bennett is only built because my sister took over and i needed a second healer for abyss

raiden

the first thing i look at with most characters is their crit rate/dmg ratio. i think you could definitely take raiden off so much ER and put her instead on crit rate (through artifacts). i almost always recommend a crit rate circlet over anything else, and i think she would really benefit from it here.

keep in mind that idk anything about how raiden plays though LOL but honestly as long as you have her on the catch, i don't think you need that ER sands. instead, try atk sands and crit rate circlet; she might do slightly less dmg, but her attacks will be more consistent.

granted though if she's support, i don't think it'll matter as much, but seeing as raiden's eye counts as her dmg still, i think having more consistent crit dmg will still be beneficial!

kazuha

in all honesty i think kazuha's good! i might go a little more ham with his crit dmg tho since right now it's a little bit less than 140 (to your 71 crit rate). otherwise, i guess maybe try for either a vv set bonus or a glad set bonus?

childe

agh your childe artifacts (and rust) is generally what i want for my childe too ;; it's good imo!!! if you're using him for melee all the time, i'd say def consider crowning his E (this coming from a childe simp tho so don't take me seriously lol) otherwise, if you're using his burst more, level that one higher.

DAMN okay shielder yanfei!! i think she's good, but ofc level her artifacts LOL.

ayaka

ooooh i'm not sure about ayaka actually. i don't use her, but i think you could consider upping her burst some more? also you might have just but the ER sands in there for the set bonus, but i'd go for atk!

qiqi

i know qiqi can be played in a great many ways and i don't have either, but i'm wondering if it might be better to have her on maiden's if you're building her as a pure healer? i'm not sure if you are, though, and ofc i'm not sure what qiqi scales off of either lol.

i don't think you ever specified what you're using benny for. i honestly use him as a mix of things, so i'm not sure i know how to build him as a true healer. but in general i suggest using him as a burst support/side healer. his burst gives an atk bonus that scales off his atk, and heals based off his hp. i wouldn't worry about his hp too much, so i'd change the sands to an atk sands, but then again, if you want him to heal more, ofc that's valid too!!
