Idk whether we had been watching ST or IT (she had been referring to Max or Bev) but my little sis was just like “damn, these readheaded freckled girls with blue eyes are fuckin cute as hell!” and I stared her blue-eyed, freckled, red-headed ass dead in the eyes and said “so your type is literally fucking you?” and she replies like “yep I’m hot and I know it” and steals some of my honey bbq chips.
How the hell is this 13-year-old more self-confident than I ever will be 💀

Transiting Sun enters Taurus
April 20 - May 21, 2018
Taurus: my need to be resourceful, productive, and stable. (Bloch and George, Astrology for Yourself)
Solar transits, according to the experts: Bernadette Brady: “A reassessment of personal identity.” Steven Forrest: “The ego itself confronts the world - or vice versa.”
In and through Taurus, it isn’t enough to merely feel that Aries flash of inspiration. We want to make it manifest; we want to turn it into reality and set it in stone. (Taurus = fixed earth = “set in stone.”).
The “resourceful” part of the Bull isn’t hard to figure out and demonstrate, here in the Northern Hemisphere: it’s gardening time! The earth is receptive, and brings forth all the food we need. We can’t be resourceful, though, unless we actually make an effort to be so, and that brings us to….
“Productive,” another tricky word. What do we have to show for our efforts? There has to be something! Little green shoots of plants bursting forth from the ground; little green dollar signs in our bank accounts. The Bull indeed can exhibit a lazy streak, but when it actually gets to work the unexpected dividends truly pay off.
Finally, we want to be “stable.” That garden needs stability to flourish: the right amount of rain (and no snow); the right amount of sunshine. We aren’t so interested in chasing around, like Aries,  from one temporary interest to the next. We want to spend a little time with our projects to see what happens.
The “Taurus season” is always a great time to really take productive, effective action with our New Year’s resolutions. That’s because once the Sun enters Taurus, it’s trine (flow) Capricorn - and indeed, we’ll have some powerful assistance from Vesta/Capricorn, Saturn/Capricorn, and Pluto/Capricorn. We’ve had four months to play around with whatever concept or project we chose. Now it’s time to put our noses to the grindstone and get to work.
Celebrities with Sun in Taurus:  Kirsten Dunst, James McAvoy, Malcolm X, Ella Fitzgerald, Karl Marx, Tina Fey, Linda Evangelista, Jessica Lange, Vladimir Lenin, Iggy Pop, Stevie Wonder, Sid Vicious, Keith Haring, George Carlin, Immanuel Kant, Stephen Colbert, Shirley  MacLaine, Miranda Cosgrove, Andy Murray, Gal Gadot, Ferdinand Magellan, James Brown, Ann Boleyn, Honore de Balzac, Michael Moore, Grace Jones
Tuesday, April 24, Vesta/Capricorn trine Sun/Taurus, 4:07
The Sun is our basic identity, and Vesta is the Lady Asteroid of personal integration. Therefore when these two join forces, the potential for increased self-awareness is vast. With this trine happening in earth signs, we can both face reality without flinching (much), and take concrete action to better ourselves. The Moon in Virgo today makes it a very constructive time for us.
Planets/Points affected lie between 3:07 and 5:07 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Sunday, April 29, Saturn Rx/Capricorn trine Sun/Taurus, 9:02
Regardless of signs, this interaction always brings with it a sense of responsibility and of empowerment; with Saturn in Capricorn, those qualities are emphasized. It isn’t flashy or charismatic, but its quiet power and stability make us behave a little more grown-up. We assume authority and have the power to make positive, long-term changes. Again the Moon is involved (in the buildup to its Full phase), making it more likely for us to harness this energy constructively.
Planets/Points affected lie between 8:02 and 10:02 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Monday, April 30, Ceres/Leo square Sun/Taurus, 10:28; North Node/Leo square Sun/Taurus, 10:32; South Node/Aquarius square Sun/Taurus, 10:32
Here is where the lazy, self-indulgent side of Taurus can cause trouble. We’re especially prone to thoughts that we “deserve” whatever it is we want - a break, a raise, acknowledgement - without having to actually work to earn it. Parenting  issues may arise, too, with some conflict over who has all the authority. The day previous, a Full Moon, may be when the issues actually manifest.
Planets/Points affected lie between 9:28 and 11:32 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*; and between 24:28 and 26:32 of the mutable signs Gemini*, Virgo*, Sagittarius*, and Pisces*.
Sunday, May 6, Neptune/Pisces sextile Sun/Taurus, 15:59
Through the rulership of Venus, Taurus has an artistic side - think of Ferdinand the Bull (book, not movie) smelling the flowers and ogling the lovely ladies. This sextile is tailor-made to explore the Bull’s more aesthetic side. We can also use this to bring some of the more lofty Neptune spiritual ideals into concrete reality.
Planets/Points affected lie between 14:59 and 16:59 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces; placements between 14:59 and  16:59 of Libra receive a transiting yod, indicating the need for adjustments; placements between 14:59 and 16:59 of Aries receive a transiting double semi-sextile, introducing an element of good timing.
Tuesday, May 8, Jupiter Rx/Scorpio opposite Sun/Taurus, 18:21
The main thing going on here is the potential for serious over-doing-it in relationships. Maybe our bluffs get called; maybe we’re tempted to “prove” something we aren’t prepared to prove. We may not need a challenge to want to prove ourselves. And, we may be the ones making the demands. The best thing to do (methinks) is to be aware of this “goading” influence, the better to resist.
Planets/Points affected lie between 17:21 and 19:21 of the fixed signs Taurus*, Leo*, Scorpio*, and Aquarius*; and between 2:21 and 4:21 of the cardinal signs Aries*, Cancer*, Libra*, and Capricorn*.
Friday, May 11, Pluto Rx/Capricorn trine Sun/Taurus, 21:11
The final aspect of 2018’s Sun/Taurus finds us again trying to build up and fortify ourselves. Unlike the previous trines to Vesta and Saturn, though, this influence has long-term consequences - longer than we can imagine. On the 10th, when the Pisces Moon is at the midpoint between the Sun and Pluto, we could catch a glimpse of where this trine may take us.
Planets/Points affected lie between 20:11 and 22:11 of the yin signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces.
