sureeeee id love to help, it’s kinda hard to explain so i hope i don’t miss anything :')

to start off -> you’ll want to be on tumblr browser, i don’t think you can do it on the app (you can / js not the copy pasting the code)

so on the browser (i’m doing the mobile method btw not on laptop but it applies as the same) click the icon near the top left first

then once all the other stuff comes up / your blog(s), settings, etc + scroll down to where it says Blog settings

scroll down until it says this (custom theme) -> you’re gonna wanna click Edit theme

this is the tricky part bc codes r so 🙄 to deal with but i got you !! so immediately it’s gonna show you this — go to where it says description

once you do that, click the save option and then go back to tumblr !!! (by the way, i think you need two links to have two colours)

to change the colors you do it (at least i do it) on tumblr — the app. on your blog, click the lil palette icon near the top right

then it’ll show this — the places i circled is where you’ll change your two colors !! 🫦the accent and the display name of your blog. choose wtv color to your liking and boom !!

Hiii 💕💕 okay so it actually has to do with coding 😭 I’ll try my best to explain. So basically, I go to this website ( https://jsfiddle.net ), this is where you can make any color text you want.

— STEPS BELOW —

Step One: So, once you’re there you’ll see this screen, I’m on mobile so it might look a lil different.

Step Two: Once there, you’ll go to the right side where the text boxes are.

Step Three: In the top box, you’ll want to type in whatever text you want to make a different color.

Step Four: Next, where the red and green color dots are, click on the red dot. This is going to be where the color starts. You can make the text whatever color you want.

note: you can make your text gradient, as in two different colors. I make my text just one color ( that pale pink color ), which means both the red and green dot must be the same color. For gradient, the red and green need to be whatever two colors you want to make gradient. For example, if you wanted to do yellow and purple gradient text, change the red to the color yellow and the green to the color purple.

*FFE5FA is the color of my pink text.

Step Five: After you’ve changed the color, hit the run button in between the text boxes.

Step Six: Once you’ve hit run, the text box below will generate the coding for your colored text.

Step Seven: Once it’s there, you’ll want to click on it and hit the ‘select all’ button.

note: I am using this on an iPhone, so it may very on a Samsung or computer. Just make sure you copy the whole thing of code

Step Eight: Once you’ve hit select all, hit the copy button

Step Nine: So now the text should be copied to clipboard and available to past where ever you want. After that, and this is an important detail or else it won’t work, you have to go to Tumblr Online, not the app.

Step Ten: Once you’re on tumblr, go to make a new post.

Step Eleven: Once you make the next post, you’ll want to go to the top right corner and click on the settings icon

Step Twelve: You should see a screen like the one below. At the bottom of that pop up where it says TEXT EDITOR, the icon next to it should say Rich Text.

Step Thirteen: Click on the Rich Text box, and options should pop up saying, Rich Text, HTML, Markdown

Step Fourteen: Click the HTML option

Step Fifteen: You should see this screen next

Step Sixteen: You’ll want to paste the HTML code you just copied next to or after the code already there like this

Step Seventeen: Okay then you’ll want to make sure it’s saved as a draft

note: if you go to your drafts first and then create a new post, then it should automatically have the save as draft option at the bottom. It’s quicker than doing it like normal and having to select save as draft.

Step Eighteen: It should look like this now

Step Nineteen: Congratulations! You’ve done the hard part. Now go back to mobile or the app because it’s easier for these next steps in my opinion.

Step Twenty: In the app, go to that saved draft and make the text bold if you so choose, it makes it stand out more that way

Extras: you only need to make one colored text when you make a post, which means you don’t need to go through that whole process for each line/word you want to make colored.

— just type whatever words you want colored next to the already colored text, then move it down a space.

— however, once you delete that line of colored text it cannot be recovered, you’d have to go through this process again.

ANYWAY, I hope this helped. I tried to make it as step-by-step as possible. 😁😁💕💕

hi!! i was wondering how you make the texts in your posts gradient colored? i’ve been trying so hard to figure out how to do it😭

hi hi!!!! i actually use two websites for it!

this one i use to pick out the colors i want to use for the text.

and this one i use to put the colors in to create the HTML for the text.

all this will have to be done on a computer (mostly bc I don’t think it can be done on mobiles??)

first copy and paste the numbers/letters for the color you choose on the first website, (ex: #25beb1) and then on the second website, find the 3rd line input and where it says value=“#FF0000” paste the color numbers/letters into the “#FF0000” making it look like this value=“#25beb1”. repeat the process with another color of your choosing but either darker/lighter/different color and put it into the 4th input the same way as the 3rd one.

after you have those put in, click run on the top left corner of the website and it’ll change the colors to the ones you’ve chosen. the right bottom side (where it’ll now show the colors and two blank boxes) you’ll type the words you want into the first box, then click run beside the colors. the bottom box will now have an HTML link, copy that.

now back on tumblr on a new post, type the same words you want to use for the colors then click the cogwheel, go to text editor and change it from rich text to HTML. highlight JUST THE WORDS YOU WANT FOR THE GRADIENT and paste the HTML you copied from the second website.

click preview to make sure it looks how you want and then boom you’re done!~ I suggest also making the text bold and italicized because it’ll make the text look prettier and more noticeable.

( 001. ) i dare say close to all of that formatting, aesthetics, writing and literally everything a blog needs is 100% possible just using the mobile tumblr!

i personally have never used the laptop for my tumblr besides just looking through my notifs when my phone is on charge. i legit do everything single thing from my phone, even the writing.

though i would say some things require you going back and forth with the web tumblr but it's okay cause it's not like an everyday thing.

things you can do on the mobile app: writing, post layouts(the three picture thing, different fonts, dividers, read more line thing), add the links(in posts), asks(answer and send including pictures and links and anonymous), change your description(including colors and fonts), change your background and accent colors, change your profile picture, queue, schedule and reblog posts, making side blogs and literally anything besides those mentioned below.

things you can not do on mobile tumblr and hence have to use the web tumblr: using colors(including gradient) for your fonts besides the default colors allowed on the app(you have to do it through html post editor available on the web tumblr post editor options), adding links in your description, blocking someone from your side blog, checking your activity status as in how many followers or notes you gained in a day or week or month, mass post editing(which is like editing the tags of multiple posts at once this one you need the laptop!) and that's all i can think of for now but it's the main things.

the chances of losing progress on tumblr is possible whether you use mobile app tumblr, mobile web tumblr or laptop tumblr. best thing is to use your google docs to write and then copy paste it to tumblr at the time of posting.

( 002. ) bingo! you are correct. tumblr does not have the feature to show the word count so writers do use different apps for it. google docs has the word count feature and i use it for my longer fics, wattpad also has the word count feature so for my headcanons and reactions i usually use wattpad.

( 003. ) this one is a bit complicated in a sense, let me explain it in small steps. so when you publish something you always have the option of putting the keep reading cut anywhere you want.

tumblr has this thing where under a specific tag, let's say enhypen imagines tag, in order to not clog up the dash of that specific tag it automatically adds the keep reading if your keep reading cut shows more than what tumblr allows. however all the other places like if anyone has liked it or rebloged it, the post will appear as originally or as presently the post is formatted.

so if in your likes that post is showing the entire fic it means the writer has not added the keep reading cut anywhere. but when you search up the enhypen imagines tag and find the same fic it will show a keep reading cut as per tumblr's rules.

I do the same as you!! I put the title and the visuals on mobile and then leave blanks like [text here] or whatever and then go to desktop and paste the rest! I also add the readmore’s on mobile cause on desktop every time I add it it eats random paragraphs akdjakdjs tumblr makes it hard sometimes >:(

Virthik will go pretty far, but once it gets too inconvenient or dodgy he tends to split off of whatever the original idea was, and try and do it himself. Or he just gives up on it all together, if it’s not super consequential. Path of least resistance and all that

Farlian refuses to hurt friends and aquaintances she likes, and prefers to not mess with regular people, especially when they’re just kinda normal n well mannered. She’s pretty good at persuasion tho, so it’s much easier to avoid killing/hurting people

Zuft’zahr can and will drain you of your life savings if it’s important enough, and has enough contacts to get what he wants when he wants it. He just prefers less extreme stuff so he doesn’t have to write as many letters.

6 - how easy could your oc be convinced to do something that goes against their morals?

Virthik has. Questionable morals to begin with, but he won’t cross the boundaries that he does have for almost anything. He’s gotta draw a line in the sand somewhere, even if it’s a little bit weird and scraggly and too deep in some places

Farlian can be convinced, it just takes a lot of time and energy. If it’s presented well enough she could be tricked, but whatever is done would have to be fast so she couldn’t ponder too long.

Zuft’zahr has also got arguably questionable morals, he’s just a little more flexible with it. If there’s a good reason to go against what he feels is right he’ll do whatever is needed, but he doesn’t like crossing his boundaries too much. He’d much rather look over all the options for hours before making a decision over taking someone’s word for what it is. Which he has done before lol his fav shout is slow time for a reason

9 - do you have a specific lyric or quote you associate with your oc?

Hsgdhshsjs oh boy do I. I have so many. So so so many. I will only list a few but I have almost every song on my liked playlist(600+ songs) assigned to at least 1 character

Ok so farlian I associate with a lot of dirt poor robins songs, mostly the songs All There Is(deluxe edition), Enchanté, To The Heights, and Babylon. Ofc there are quite a few but I am also a little biased bc they’re amazing. The lyricist is what I imagine she would sound like, so it’s a very hard task to choose just one lyric. I’m sure I have a quote assigned to her somewhere but I have like 13 different oc info storage places and I would not be able to find it in a reasonable time lol

I associate Virthik with a lot of moodier ajr songs, like The Good Part and The Dumb Song, but that may be a little bit of projection when I feel frustrated haha. I also associate him with some rock songs like paper machete, little sister, what the peephole say, friends in low places, etc. generally more angry+loud stuff or sad mad stuff, if that makes sense.

I don’t have near as much for Zuft’zahr, unfortunately, but I know for a fact he would listen to lemon demon songs a LOT. And maybe some of The Correspondents

21 - does your oc have any illnesses or disorders? How do they handle it?

Virthik has got some chronic shit going on just kinda. All over. Turns out turning into a fucked up gutted dragon semi frequently really takes a toll on the body. It’s not too bad all the time, but it’s normally semi evident. When it flares up he mostly just tries to avoid the northern parts of Skyrim, so the cold doesn’t exacerbate it. He’s also trying to make some potions to help out some,

He’s also got anxiety, ‘specially in often populated spaces like dragonsreach and the bigger cities. He definitely prefers hanging with the dragur and dwarven automata. he’d rather die than admit it, but it’s definitely there. Most of the time it’s manageable but sometimes just skipping a crowded area for a few hours is best. Hes also been trying to do breathing excercises, since he found out about the whole Dragonborn thing. It’s mostly for the shouts, but it helps with the anxiety too.

Farlian has whatever flavor of adhd that I have and doesn’t really focus on any one thing fully, but like. I’m not diagnosed by anyone other than my friend who has it, so take that with a cup of salt. She just gets all of my not sad brain juice, so whatever I have she has.

Zuft’zahr has a glaring lack of issues compared to virthik especially, but his role in the big metaphorical picture is ‘the reference material’ or the grounding force. So he’s meant to be like taking a step back, grabbing a bite to eat and a nap, and looking at your problem again in a few hours with a clear mind. He gets to be a little bit more ‘normal’ because of that

I’m always trying to learn more abt different mental stuff, but If I don’t know about it in great depth I won’t add it to a character explicitly. Makes it hard to simulate their character if I don’t know exactly how their brain works, yk?
