SWEET LIKE CANDY • JEY USO
author’s note: did someone say new mini series ? 👀 well yes! although writing is gonna be quite slow due to school starting backup, I wanted to leave you guys with something cute starring our 2025 royal rumble winner jey uso🤭 forgive me for not giving you smut in this first part but trust me when I say itll be worth it in the long run. I hope you enjoy this my loves, and happy reading💗 (p.s. I made a playlist to go along with it, you can shuffle it up too🙂↕️🙂↕️ you can find it here)
synopsis: in which a celebration at the strip club leads to the beginning of a love affair between a wrestler and a dancer.
pairing: jey uso x black fem oc!cherise aka candy
tags: 18+ (there’s no smut but still has suggestive themes), slow burn, drinking, lap dances, lewd conversations, teasing, lots of touching, kissing, pet names (baby, mama, pretty girl. baby girl), flirty banter, jey falls for her at first glance.
word count: 2k words (somethin’ short n sweet😌)
The bass reverbs through the strip club, rattling the walls like a second heartbeat. The air was thick with marijuana smoke, spilled drinks, and anticipation. It was the kind of place that dared you to loosen up, a melting pot of the desperate, the indulgent, and those just looking to forget about the realities of their day to day lives.
Jey, sitting on the edge of a low velvet couch, nursed a glass of hennessy, his dark brown eyes surveying the scene with feigned disinterest. Jimmy, on the other hand, leaned back beside him, grinning like the damn Cheshire cat, a few shots in and already loving every second of the night.
“This the spot, Uce,” Jimmy drawled, gesturing at the stage. “Told you. Ain’t no better way to celebrate your Rumble win than seeing a few bad ones tearing it up on the stage.”
Jey wasn’t convinced. He leaned forward, elbows on his jean covered knees, his silver chain glinting in the low light. “Man, you know this ain’t my scene. I only came ‘cause y’all don’t shut up. Coulda stayed home, kicked my feet up, and played my game.”
Jimmy clicked his tongue. “Nah, Uce. This is a night of celebration. Tonight’s the night we get you to let loose.” He raised his glass in a mock toast.
Across the room, Trinity —or her stage name called her—Naomi. The long-legged, dark skinned goddess with waist-length black & neon green braids and thighs to die for worked her magic. She straddled some middle-aged white guy in a button-down, grinding with a confidence that made her the club’s crown jewel. She caught Jimmy’s eye and gave a sly smile with a wink for good measure.
“Yo, there she go!” Jimmy grinned, practically bouncing in his seat. “My girl, Trin. You see that, Jey? That’s art. Respect the glow.”
Jey rolled his eyes but couldn’t help smirking. “Bruh, you actin’ like she your girl for real.”
“She is though,” Jimmy shot back, the grin never leaving his face. And it wasn’t a joke. He wasn’t even subtle about it. Whenever Jimmy showed up, Trinity made a beeline for him, and they always disappeared into the VIP section.
Jey chuckled under his breath, shaking his head. “You wild.”
But his attention shifted when the next dancer strolled onto the stage.
“Alright fellas, hold onto your Benjamin’s ‘cause it’s about to get sweet up in here! Coming to the stage, she’s sugar, spice and everything nice, with curves so delicious you’ll forget your own name. Be careful though, she might leave you with some cavities by the end of the night. Give it up for the lovely Candy!”
The second she stepped out, the crowd of men leaned forward, like hungry sharks. She wasn’t like the others though. She was new, fresh-faced, and a bundle of nerves. But that didn’t matter right this second. She played the part, masking her shyness behind a seductive smile that could melt anyone with a pulse.
Candy was beyond gorgeous. Her smooth, brown skin shimmered under the stage lights, and the crimson two-piece she wore clung to every dip and swell of her body. Her hips swayed to the R&B song, deliberate, teasing.
“Goddamn,” Jimmy whistled low. “New girl got somethin’ fierce, huh?”
Jey was speechless, he couldn’t look away. Her curly hair was pulled into a updo, soft coils framing her soft, heart-shaped face. Full lips painted glossy pink parted into a playful pout as she ran her hands down her figure, playing to the crowd. But her eyes. Those big, dark, and doe-like eyes held a hint of innocence she couldn’t quite shake.
“Yeah, somethin’ for sure,” Jey muttered under his breath, heat pooling low in his groin.
Candy noticed him immediately. She was used to clients ogling her—most of them practically drooled or disgustingly grabbed their crotch in front of her—but he was different. He had this calm, magnetic energy, like he was letting her come to him. It made her stomach flip, even as she forced her most sultry grin.
When her set ended, and the applause faded, Candy slipped off the stage. But not before glancing over her shoulder and locking eyes with Jey.
♡
"You heard who's out there tonight, right?" Trinity grinned, her deep brown eyes glinting with mischief as she adjusted the thin straps of her bra. "You about to be real blessed, baby girl."
Cherise arched a perfectly sculpted brow, feigning disinterest. "Oh yeah? Who?"
Trinity sucked her teeth, nudging her shoulder. "Don’t act cute, Cher. The man of the damn hour is in VIP. Your VIP, might I add."
Cherise played coy, but her stomach did a little flip. She’d already heard that Jey Uso was here tonight. And apparently, he was her very first private dance.
Her pulse raced.
"He cute or whateva,” she said, glossing over the fact that she was a fan. She’d watched him claw his way to being a singles star. And now he was here, in her club, about to have her in his lap.
Trinity laughed, low and knowing. "Oh, he real cute, baby. And he got that mouth on him. Knows how to talk to a woman, make her feel good." She winked, nudging her shoulder with her own.
Cherise rolled her eyes but smiled. "You sound like you speaking from experience."
"Nah, Jimmy got my full attention," Trinity purred, licking her lips. "Speaking of which, you know that man is gonna be deep in this pussy before the night over. So if you hear me make any noise, mind your business."
Cherise giggled, shaking her head. "Y’all so damn nasty."
Trinity flipped her braids over her shoulder. "Mmhmm, and you 'bout to be nasty too. Just don’t let Jey have you falling, mama. These wrestlers? They dangerous."
Cherise smirked. "I can handle myself."
Trinity just laughed, giving her ass a playful slap before strutting off toward VIP.
Cherise exhaled slowly, fixing the sheer, sparkly robe draped over her curvy figure.
Showtime.
♡
The VIP room was warm, lit with soft purple lights that shined against the dark leather couch and mirrored walls. Private, sensual. The kind of space that invited sin.
Jey sat in the middle of it, legs spread, shades still covering his eyes, hands resting on his thick thighs.
He looked too good, too comfortable, like he belonged there with his chains glinting under the dim lighting. And he was waiting for her.
Cherise stepped inside, hips swaying slow, the confidence she wore so well settling around her like perfume. She was used to this, knew the game, knew how to keep them entertained just enough to keep ‘em hungry. But this was Jey.
And she already knew—he was different.
Jey’s gaze dragged up her body, slow like drizzling honey, lingering on her thick thighs, the way her curves filled out the soft red lace she had on. He smirked, licking his lips. "Damn, mama… that’s what they lettin’ you walk around in back here?"
Cherise stopped in front of him, rolling her hips to the bass-heavy R&B music vibrating through the walls. "You like it, baby?”
"Shit…" Jey let his head tilt back against the couch, eyes dark, hooded. "I love it."
Cherise bit back a grin. "Flatterin’ me ain’t gon’ get you nothin’ extra, baby."
"Who said I was tryna get somethin’ extra?" He grinned. "I’m just speakin’ my truth.”
She let her hands trail over chest, feeling the solid warmth of him and the occasional thump of his heartbeat. "Mmm…I bet you be runnin’ game on every girl in here.”
"Nah." Jey licked his lips. "I’on even be in places like this, baby. My brother dragged me."
"Mmhm." She slid onto his lap, her thighs bracketing his, their faces inches apart. "So if I ask the bouncers how many girls you pulled back here, they gon’ say none?"
Jey exhaled a laugh, fingers flexing on her hips. "They gon’ tell you I been sittin’ in that VIP all night, mindin’ my business."
Cherise hummed, her fingers playing at the chain around his neck. "So what makes me special then?"
Jey tilted his head, watching her close. "You tell me, baby girl." His voice was deep, lazy, smooth as melted honey. "I ain’t the one who picked this dance. You did."
She smirked. "That’s cute."
"Ain’t it?" His grip on her hips tightened, dragging her a little closer. "Nah, for real, I can tell. You move different. You one of them girls that don’t let just anybody dude here, huh?"
"Mm-mm." Cherise dragged her nails lightly over soft curls on the back of his neck. "I’m picky."
"Yeah?" His fingers slid up her back, teasing at the base of her spine. "How I make the cut then?"
"I dunno…” She let her lips brush his jaw, just barely. "Maybe I got a thing for wrestlers."
Jey chuckled, low and deep, squeezing her waist. "You watch me, huh?"
"I keep up."
"Ain’t that somethin’." He leaned in, pressing his nose against her cheek. "And here I was thinkin’ I had to make you a fan."
"Mmm, you still might have to work for it." She pressed a soft kiss to his jaw, slow and teasing, right before she rolled her hips against his.
Jey sucked in a breath, his grip turning just a little rougher. “Aye, don’t play wit’ me, pretty girl.”
"Who’s playin’?" She dragged her lips down his throat, slow and deliberate, her hands traveling up his body, feeling the soft tonedness of his stomach. "You like that, Joshua?"
Jey froze.
His hands tensed on her ass, and she felt the shift, the way his whole body reacted to the way his real name left her lips.
"Damn…" He exhaled a quiet laugh, pressing his forehead to hers. "That’s how we doin’ it, huh?”
"Mmm…" She kissed the corner of his mouth. "That’s how I’m doin’ it."
"You somethin’ else, Candy…” His lips grazed hers, barely there, his breath warm against her mouth. "You gon’ drive me crazy, ain’t you?"
"Guess you’ll have to wait and see."
Jey groaned, squeezing her thigh. "You know what’s wild?"
“Enlighten me.”
"You sittin’ on me, talkin’ shit, got me damn near ready to risk everything in this bitch… and you still ain’t tell me your name."
Cherise laughed, slow and sweet, sliding a hand up his throat to his jaw. “You ain’t ask right."
"Oh, so I gotta ask nice?" His lips ghosted over hers again, teasing, taunting, barely touching but still driving her crazy. "That what you want, baby girl?"
"Mmm… maybe…" She let her tongue flick out, just barely tasting his lower lip.
Jey growled, deep in his throat, and finally…finally closed the space, his mouth capturing hers in a kiss that was slow, deep, and damn near dangerous.
Cherise melted into it, letting herself enjoy the way he tasted—Hennessy, something minty, something just Jey. His grip on her waist turned possessive, fingers digging in the flesh of her ass, rolling her just right against him.
His tongue slid against hers, slow and deliberate, like he was trying to memorize her taste.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Time’s up!"
They both froze.
Jey groaned, pulling back, licking his lips like he was pissed about the interruption. "Damn…"
Cherise smirked, slipping off his lap, dragging her fingers down his chest as she stood. "Guess you’ll have to come back if you wanna finish."
Jey leaned back, legs still spread, watching her. "You somethin’ else, girl."
She paused at the door, hesitated then turned back, biting her lip. "Cherise."
"Huh?"
"That’s my name."
Jey exhaled a quiet laugh, shaking his head as he watched her walk to the door. She gave him one last look with a small smile perched on her kiss-swollen lips, “Get home safe, Joshua.” and finally exited the room.
"Cherise…" he repeated under his breath, the taste of her cherry flavored lip gloss still plaguing his taste buds in the most amazing way. "Yeah, I’ma see you again, baby girl.”

even before he met you jason knew he loved you. the little box hidden under the floorboards at Wayne manor was proof enough. the sheets were folded neatly, stacked in the order he wrote them in an old sneaker box. letter upon letter upon letter to his future spouse that were long forgotten after his death.
when he was younger, he hoped he’d be able to to give it to someone one day. sat and prayed for the day that the right person would come along that he could make happy.
when he came back, he still dreamed about it. jason just didn’t think he deserved it. a love worth those letters would never be in his cards.
then you came along, with your bright smile, sweet words, and patience. god, your patience had to be strong dealing with all of his baggage. he didn’t think he deserved it, but you refused to give him anything else.
was it patience or were you just too stubborn to let go of him? jason didn’t really care about the difference.
he spent nights with you, tangled in the sheets just letting you love him. his mind calms, slowly, with all of your words, your touches- you. it takes nearly a year for him to even believe you really do care about him, without any ulterior motives. he’d found himself too attached to you to worry if there were any, anyways. if he was going to die again, he’d hoped it would be you that killed him.
jason realized he loved you when he woke up to your fingers pressed gently against the pulse points on his neck. sweat beaded along your hairline, eyes wide. “what the-” he couldn’t help the twinge of fear in his gut. what the fuck were you doing?
his hands wrapped around your wrists rougher than he probably should have as he sat up, heart beating against his ribs. he took a deep breath, fighting off every single thought of how you could kill him so easily right now. there was no reason for him to think you’d hurt him, you would never.
your breathing was just as uneven, heart stuttering with every half second. “i-just… had a dream.” you whispered , barely audible against the buzzing of the ceiling fan. “you died. i needed to… make suure.” your eyes flickered away from him as your tears started to fall. the nightmares that plagued your mind normally stopped around jason, but they broke through your safe space tonight.
the look of shock he was giving you made your skin crawl. jason was normally so sweet to you. did you overestimate how much he could handle? you took a deep breath and wiped your cheeks. “i didnt mean to wake you up, i’ll-” jason shook his head and let your wrists go, pulling you to his chest.
he steadied his breathing and shut his eyes tight , chin resting against your head as you sobbed against him, apologizing over and over again because you might lose him now. the fear in your eyes wasn’t because you got caught. it was because you loved him. this was somehow his first realization that it was real for you too. your whispered apologies slowed as he soothed you to sleep “not goin’ anywhere, sweetheart.” he whispered before you fully dozed off. “who’s gonna take care’a you if im gone?”
things between you two felt… different after that. better, but different. it wasn’t until two weeks later that it solidified. Alfred had called him to grab lunch together, and came with a beat up box. jason didn’t recognize it at all until Alfred opened it and pushed it towards him. “I thought it was Master Bruce’s at first, but…” jason scanned over the top letter, eying his old chicken scratch. he shut the box and pulled it close to his chest, wondering if you’d be home before him. “thank you, Alfred..” the old man nodded with a smile. jason knew you were it for him, no questions asked. the letters had always belonged to you.
the minute you were home he sat you down and set the box in front of you. “read them. please…” you eyed the box carefully before reaching out and grabbing the first letter. barely halfway through it and tears were streaming down your cheeks. before he even knew you, he wrote letter on letter on letter about how much he dreamed about being with you. how deep in his soul, he knew he’d find you no matter how long it took. it wasnt chance that these letters found their way to you- it was fate. everything in them perfectly described you, how you spoke to him, acted around him. everything about you is exactly what he’d always wanted.
he eyed you carefully from the opposite end of the couch, fiddling with the edge of his shirt. “so?” he mumbled once you finished. “so!?” you sniffled, wiping the tears from your cheeks. “do you… like them?” you nodded once, fighting back the shock of it all. “jayce, these are…” he let out a nervous laugh. “cheesy? yeah. just thought the person i wanna spend the rest’a my life with should have ‘em.”
reading that was one thing, but jason saying it out loud? “are you sure?” you asked, scooting closer to him. he cupped your cheeks and smiled at you like you hung the stars just for him. “never been so sure about anything else.”

your phone buzzed in your trembling hands, and when you saw caleb’s name flash across the screen, your heart clenched. you wiped your tear-streaked face quickly, taking a deep breath before answering the video call.
“hey pipsqueak.” his voice was warm, familiar but his sharp eyes immediately narrowed. “what’s wrong?”
you forced a smile, shaking your head. “nothing, i’m fine.”
caleb tilted his head, his expression softening but showing a bit of his possessiveness. “oh no no no, don’t lie to me. i can see it all over your face.” his voice was firm but gentle, a thread of concern weaving through it.
your resolve cracked, and a fresh wave of tears welled in your eyes. “he cheated on me, caleb,” you whispered, voice breaking. “i feel so...so stupid.”
his jaw clenched, and his nostrils flared. the muscles in his neck tensed, his grip on the phone tightening. "who?"
you hesitated, but when you said your ex’s name, caleb’s eyes darkened. “...i’m on my way back to linkon,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
“caleb, you don’t have to-”
“don’t.” his voice cut through your protest. “i'm almost there, just stay put.”
you knew better than to argue when he got like this, so you nodded, biting your lip as he gave you one last lingering look before ending the call.
it wasn’t long before a knock sounded at your door. when you opened it, caleb stood there, his casual clothing slightly disheveled, his knuckles bruised and raw.
your eyes widened. “caleb…”. you grabbed onto to his hands.
he shrugged, gazing down at you before. “had to teach that asshole a lesson.” wanting him to calm down, you led him to the couch.
your heart ached, but you couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at your lips. you looked at him before speaking, “but you.. you didn’t have to.”
he reached out, wiping away the stray tear lingering on your cheek. “yeah.. i did.” his voice softened. “no one gets to mess with you and get away with it.”
you sighed, leaning into his touch. but your chest felt tight, you didn’t know why, but somehow, you found yourself sitting on his lap, his hands found your waist, his touch gentle but firm, grounding you in the moment. “what am i gonna do without you?” you chuckled softly.
caleb smirked, caressing your cheek. “lucky for you, you’ll never have to find out.”
caleb’s eyes softened as his hand rested on your cheek, but even as his gaze held yours, there was a storm behind his violet eyes, something darker. his lips parted like he was about to say something, but he didn’t. the silence between you two was becoming unbearable.
then his hand gripped your face, pulling you closer, his lips crashing against yours with a fierce, desperate energy that sent you spiraling. it wasn’t gentle but of a hungry, needy, force that demanded attention. as his kiss deepened, you could feel the tension running through him and slowly through you, neither of you fully able to control the emotions swirling inside.
as the kiss deepened, the world around you disappeared but only the feel of caleb’s lips, his warmth, his touch. his hands were everywhere, your waist, your back, pulling you closer, as if he couldn’t get close enough. the two of you were practically moaning in each others mouths, every second felt like it wasn’t enough. the heat between you both was unbearable, and with each kiss, each caress, it felt like everything that had been unspoken was finally free.
but then, you couldn’t take it anymore. you pulled away, your chest heaving with the intensity of the kiss with your heart racing like it might explode. you stared at caleb, trying to catch your breath, feeling his body still pressed against yours, the distance between you barely existent. you didn’t want to stop, didn’t want to face the reality of pulling back, but your feelings were conflicted.
you bit your lip, your gaze flicking to the side as you gasped for air. “caleb, i can’t... this is too much, i—”
before you could finish, caleb’s hands grab onto yours, he presses his forehead onto your knuckles before looking right back up into your eyes. his eyes were dark, full of raw need, and his jaw clenched tightly. “no. don’t you dare do that.”
his voice was rough. “you can’t pull away from me now. not when i’ve been wanting this for so long.” the words came out like a confession, as though the weight of everything he’d been holding back had finally come crashing to the surface. his gaze softened, but the longing was undeniable. “i’ve been waiting for this, waiting for you...”
“please,” he whispered, his voice thick with desire, almost like a prayer. “don’t push me away when i finally have you here. don’t make me wait any longer.”
you didn’t know what to say. his words wrapped around you like a chain, pulling you back toward him. no man could ever long for you the way the man in front of you did. your pulse raced and before you can even mutter a reply, caleb closed the distance, capturing your lips again in a kiss that felt like a promise.
his hands roamed again, desperate to keep you close, to feel you against him, like he needed to anchor himself to something real. the way he kissed ignited a fire in you. it couldn't be helped when you started rolling your hips forward just to gain a little bit more of him. you started to feel him harden against you, making the friction unbearable to keep your moans intact. you could tell he was enjoying you by the way his hands clutched desperately on your back, with nails digging in as he pulls you even closer. his kisses grew more frantic, little whines and gasps escaping him between each one. he would so often lift his hips eagerly to meet with every roll you had to offer him, bitten off whines leave his lips as you continue to grind your clothes cunt onto his clothed cunt.
caleb's breath hitched as your lips suddenly trailed along his neck. his hands tangled in your hair, holding you close as you nipped and sucked at his sensitive skin. a low groan rumbled in his chest, vibrating against your lips.
"god, i've dreamed of this," he murmured, voice husky with desire. his hips bucked up against yours, seeking more friction. "dreamed of you, like this, for so long." he continued.
caleb's voice grew increasingly desperate, his words punctuated by ragged breaths. "please," he begged, his fingers digging into your hips. "i need you. i need all of you." his eyes were wild, pupils blown wide with lust and longing. "touch me, taste me, anything” he kisses your knuckles. “just don't stop."
"i've waited so long," he whimpered, burying his face in your neck. his lips brushed your ear as he whispered, "make me yours. please, i'm begging you."
caleb's usual composure had crumbled completely, leaving him trembling and needy beneath you. his hands roamed your body restlessly, as if he couldn't decide where to touch first. "can i..we.." he murmurs, gesturing towards your skirt.
you nod, you can feel your cheeks heat up. your tone softens, "caleb, i have always been yours as you have been mine." you give him a smile. with trembling hands, he fumbles with his belt buckle. he finally managed to undo his pants, freeing his erection. the tip was already gleaming with pre-cum. with one swift motion, he lifted up your skirt and pulled your panties to the side, not wanting to waste a single second now. he softly guided you, leaving your soaked pussy to run through his tip. you start to slide down on him, taking him inch by inch. you both cried out at the sudden, intense sensation. caleb's head fell back, his mouth open in a silent moan as he savored the feeling of finally being inside you.
"p-pipsqueak.." his raspy voice fills the air as you began to ride him, letting his cock explore you as he whines with every hip roll.
"don't.. don't stop" he whimpers, his cheeks slightly flushes. you were moving at a slow, sensual rhythm that had him gasping for breaths. his hands continue to roam your body as you continued.
"use me however you want.." he whispers, his hands cup your clothed breasts. "don't stop using me till you're.. satisfied ngh.." he places his hands back on your hips, helping you bounce on him.
"caleb.. you feel so..so good.." you moaned in reply. your rolls had him hit your sweet spot and now you were almost at your high. your sounds seemed to ignite something primal in caleb. his grip on your hips tightened as he began to thrust up into you with renewed vigor. the room filled with the sound of skin slapping against skin, punctuated by your shared moans and gasps.
"and you.. ngh.. are so perfect," caleb groaned, his voice strained with pleasure. "so tight,.. so wet for me." he leaned forward, capturing your neck in his mouth, gently biting bite. the sensation sent shocks of pleasure through your body, making you clench around him.
you tangled your fingers in his hair, tugging gently as you rode him harder. "caleb, i'm.. so close," you panted, feeling the tension building in you.
his eyes locked onto yours, cheeks still flushed. "that's it.. princess.. please..please come for me... huu.. please let me feel you.."
his words, combined with the exquisite friction of his cock inside you, pushed you over the edge. you cried out, your body shakes as you rode your high on him.
"you're stunning.." caleb says adoringly as he watched you crumpled on him. "ngh.. im going to cum.. let me cum," you loved this new side of him. "cum inside me.." with a final, powerful thrust, he buried himself deep within you, his cock pulsing as he came. it sent you over the edge as you felt his seed warming inside you. both of your breathing were in synced, breathless as time seemed to go normal again. the air between you was thick with warmth, your bodies still tangled together, caleb didn't want to pull himself out of you yet. he wanted to cherish this moment. caleb’s hands, once gripping you with desperation, had softened, his fingers now tracing slow patterns along your back.
you let out a shaky exhale, pressing your forehead against his, your fingers still curled into the fabric of his shirt like you weren’t ready to let go. caleb’s hands slid up to cup your face, his thumbs brushing gently over your cheekbones.
“you okay?” his voice was lower now, softer, laced with something tender. he searched your face, his gaze lingering, waiting for any sign of hesitation.
you chuckled, nodding as you leaned into his touch. “i should be asking you that,” you whispered, teasingly. “that was a different caleb i saw back there.”
caleb chuckled under his breath, a small, breathy sound that sent warmth curling in your chest. “yeah,” he echoed, a hint of something affectionate in his tone. his fingers tucked a stray strand of hair behind your ear, his touch lingering, like he wasn’t ready to stop touching you yet. "but, it couldn't be helped.. when i'm with you." he continues.
caleb shifted, adjusting so you were nestled against his chest, his arms wrapping around you with a quiet protectiveness. his heartbeat was steady beneath your ear, a rhythm that soothed you.
you sighed, melting into him as his warmth surrounded you, his steady heartbeat lulling you into a sense of calm. his fingers trailed absentmindedly along your back, tracing slow, soothing patterns, as if he needed to reassure himself that you were still here, still in his arms.
“you make me crazy, you know that?” caleb murmured after a moment, his lips brushing against the top of your head. his voice was softer now. “i don’t think i’ve ever wanted something this much.”
your fingers tightened slightly around his shirt, and you tilted your head up to meet his gaze. caleb’s eyes softened, and without thinking, he leaned down, pressing a slow, lingering kiss to your forehead. it wasn’t desperate or rushed like before, just warm, grounding, like he was trying to memorize every second of this moment.
“are you tired?” he asked, smirking a little. his fingers now tracing idle circles against your arm.
you hummed in response, your eyelids growing heavier. “a little.”
knowing you didn't run away from his confession, he pulled himself out of you and adjusted yours and his clothing as if nothing happened. he shifted slightly, just enough to lean you against him, making sure you were comfortable. “i’ve got you,” he murmured, his voice quiet, protective. “just rest, okay? i’ll be right here.”
you smiled against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, feeling the way his arms held you like he never wanted to let go. you had totally forgotten about your ex. the world didn't even matter to you at all, not right now, not when you had this.
and as sleep pulled you under, you heard caleb murmur one last thing against your hair, barely heard but filled with devotion.
“i'll always be by your side.”

Leona knew better than to let himself care. Caring led to expectations. Expectations led to disappointment. He’d learned that lesson a long time ago.
And yet—here you were. Again.
Sitting beside him in the dim glow of the Botanical Garden, unbothered by his sour mood, by the way he kept his back turned to you like a wounded animal trying to hide its injuries. You didn’t prod, didn’t push—you just sat there.
That made it worse.
"Kifaji again?" you finally asked, voice careful but not hesitant.
Leona scoffed, running a hand through his tangled mane. "What else is new?" His tail flicked sharply against the grass, irritation rolling off him in waves. "‘Prince Leona, you must do this. Prince Leona, your duty is to your kingdom.’ Blah, blah, blah—what a joke."
"It’s not fair that they treat you like that."
He let out a bitter chuckle. "Fair? Oh, don’t gimme that. You’re smart enough to know the world doesn’t give a damn about ‘fair.’" He finally looked at you, and for a second, the weight of his exhaustion nearly knocked the breath from your lungs. "And neither should you."
You frowned, leaning closer. "Leona—"
"No. Don't start." His voice dropped lower, rougher, like the walls he’d spent years fortifying were beginning to crack. "I know what you're gonna say. That I’m ‘more than just a second prince.’ That I ‘deserve more credit.’ That I should ‘believe in myself’ or some other feel-good nonsense." His jaw tightened. "I know all that. And it doesn’t matter."
You stared at him, your chest tightening at the sheer resentment in his voice—not towards you, but towards himself.
"Why doesn’t it matter?" you asked softly.
Leona clenched his fists, looking away. "Because nothing I do will ever be enough. I could be the strongest magic user in the kingdom, the best strategist they’ve ever seen—but at the end of the day, I’ll still just be the second-born. The ‘spare.’" His voice wavered, but he swallowed it down, forcing a smirk that didn't reach his eyes. "If I can’t change that, then why the hell should I bother?"
You inhaled sharply, feeling your heart twist.
This wasn’t just bitterness. This was defeat.
He had already convinced himself that he would never be worth as much as his brother. That his best would never be good enough.
And the worst part? He wasn’t wrong—not in the eyes of his kingdom.
But that didn’t mean he wasn’t wrong to you.
"Leona." Your voice was quiet but firm. He still wouldn't look at you, but he didn’t pull away when you reached for his hand, fingers gently brushing against his calloused skin.
"You’re right," you admitted. His ear twitched, but he stayed silent. "You can’t change how your kingdom sees you. You can’t change the fact that you’re the second prince. But that doesn’t mean you’re worthless."
His grip tensed, knuckles white. "Tch. That’s easy for you to say."
You held onto him tighter, rubbing your thumb over the rough skin of his palm, grounding him in the moment. "Maybe. But I mean it."
The night air was thick with the weight of his silence. His breathing was shallow, controlled—like he was forcing himself not to let your words sink in.
Like he was afraid of believing them.
Your free hand moved without thinking, fingertips ghosting over his knuckles, lingering in a way that felt too intimate to be casual. You could feel his pulse, steady yet tense beneath your touch.
"I wish you saw yourself the way I see you," you murmured.
A flicker of something passed through his sharp emerald eyes—something unreadable, something dangerous.
Leona was always good at pushing people away before they got too close, but this—this was different.
"And how do you see me?" His voice was quieter now, almost wary.
You hesitated for a moment, then tightened your grip on his hand.
"I see someone who’s brilliant. Strategic. Strong." Your voice softened. "Someone who doesn’t just follow the path set for him, but carves his own, even if no one else understands it."
Leona let out a slow exhale, shaking his head. "Doesn’t change the fact that it’s a path to nowhere."
"Then I'll walk it with you."
That made him pause.
You bit your lip, then continued, voice steady despite the nervous flutter in your chest. "You keep acting like you have to prove yourself to people who refuse to see your worth. Like you have to do everything alone." You sighed. "But I see you, Leona. And I’ll keep seeing you, whether you want me to or not."
He stared at you, his gaze unreadable. Then, with a huff, he looked away, running a hand down his face. "You’re too stubborn, y’know that?"
You smiled faintly. "Yeah, but you love me anyway."
He scoffed. His tail flicked against the grass, irritation laced in the movement, but his fingers curled more securely around yours. Holding on like he wasn’t sure how else to keep himself standing.
Like maybe, just maybe, he wanted to believe you.
And for now, that was enough.

Jamie Tartt x fem! PA reader
TW: cursing, suggestive scenes
Jamie Tartt was a pain in Y/N’s ass on a good day. On a bad day, though—like today for example, when he was injured and milking it for all it was worth—he was insufferable.
Y/N stood in his living room, arms crossed, watching as he sprawled out on his couch like a prince in exile, his left ankle propped up on a pile of pillows. His shorts had ridden up slightly, exposing more of his ridiculously toned thigh than necessary, and he was holding the remote like it physically pained him to lift it.
“You could be in the club’s physio room,” she pointed out. “With actual professionals taking care of you.”
Jamie let out a dramatic sigh, rubbing his hand over his face like the mere suggestion exhausted him. “Yeah, but they’re all proper strict and boring. And I don’t like the way they make me do all the exercises in order. I like a bit of flexibility, yeah?”
“What you like is getting me to babysit you.”
His lips curled into a slow, smug grin. “What can I say? You’re my favorite assistant.”
She scoffed. “Idiot, I'm your only assistant.”
“Exactly. That means your job is lookin’ after me.” He reached for the remote again and made a show of wincing. “Ow. That hurt, that.”
“Oh, piss off.”
“No, really. It’s bad, Y/N. So bad.” He pressed his hand to his chest. “I could waste away here, just wither from neglect. You wouldn’t want that on your conscience, would ya?”
“Jamie, you’re not dying. You twisted your ankle.”
“You say that, but it feels serious. Could be career-ending.”
“Oh, for fuck’s sake.”
It wasn’t like she had much of a choice in the matter. Ever since Jamie had gone down clutching his ankle in the last match, he had been insistent that she was the only one he could trust to take care of him. Something about her “already knowing his dramatic tendencies” and being “good at keeping him in check.” Which, fine, was technically true, but she was his personal assistant, not his nurse. Although he fucking offered to by her a sexy nurse uniform...
Yet, here she was, spending her evening in his ridiculously big house, watching as he exaggerated his injury like a spoiled child.
“Did you take the painkillers?” she asked, crossing the room to grab the ice pack off the coffee table.
Jamie pouted at her. Actually pouted. “Nah. Didn’t wanna take ‘em without food.”
She let out a long-suffering sigh. “Right. Because you can’t possibly hobble to the kitchen and grab something.”
He grinned. “Now you’re gettin’ it.”
An hour later, after making sure he ate something.
"Protein bars do not count, Jamie."
"That's basically food, love"
She sat cross-legged on the floor beside the couch, replacing his ice pack, while he flicked through Netflix options.
“You’re meant to be resting, not watching telly,” she scolded.
“This is resting.”
“Resting doesn’t require constant entertainment.”
Jamie let out a low chuckle. “Dunno, love. I think I’d get real bored just sittin’ here in silence. Unless you were gonna read to me or some shit. Like in them period dramas Keeley likes.”
She scoffed. “Not happening.”
“Tragic.” He sighed.
5 minutes later the TV was off. But Jamie kept playing with his phone, scrolling aimlessly. “Reckon I should make a dramatic post about my injury?”
“Reckon you should shut up and rest.”
“Oi,” he said, flicking his gaze down to her. “Bit rude.”
“Bit accurate.”
His lips twitched. “Y’know, I think I deserve a little somethin’ for bein’ such a good patient.”
“You are not a good patient.”
“Yeah, I am. I’ve barely complained.”
She raised an eyebrow.
“…Out loud,” he added with a grin. “Anyway, I’m thinkin’ you could help me with my physio. Since I trust you more than them club people.”
She narrowed her eyes. “I feel like you just want an excuse to get a massage out of this.”
His grin turned positively wicked. “You offerin’?”
She groaned. “You’re so annoying.”
“And yet you’re still here, so—”
She grabbed the massage oil from the table with a sigh. “Fine. But if you make one inappropriate comment, I’m leaving you to suffer.”
Jamie held up his hands in mock surrender. “I’d never.”
She should have said no. She should have.
But he looked so pleased with himself, and some masochistic part of her wanted to wipe that smug look off his face. Maybe she could pinch his calves...
It started off fine. Innocent, even. She sat at the edge of the couch, her hands carefully pressing into the muscles of his calf, kneading out the tension from his injury. His ankle was still a little swollen, so she was gentle, working her thumbs into the muscle just above the injury, watching his face for any sign of discomfort. Jamie had his head tilted back, eyes closed, lips parted slightly.
Jamie, for once, was silent. Maybe he was asleep?
The room had gone quiet except for the occasional sound of the TV playing some random Netflix series in the background. If she hadn’t known Jamie so well, she might have thought he was actually in pain instead of reveling in the attention.
She was so focused on working out the tension that she didn’t realize she had shifted closer, one knee now resting on the couch between his legs.
Then—
He suddenly made a sound.
A very specific sound.
A low, deep, utterly sinful moan.
Y/N’s hands froze.
Jamie’s eyes snapped open a second later.
They stared at each other.
“…Did you just—”
“No.”
“Yes, you did.”
Jamie’s face turned red, and for once, for once, he looked genuinely flustered. “It weren’t— I didn’t mean to—”
“Oh my god.” Y/N snatched her hands away like he was on fire, scrambling backward, away from his lap.
“Oi, calm down—” Jamie groaned. This time out of embarrassment, rubbing a hand over his face. “Can you not make a big deal outta this?”
She gaped at him, then let out a slow, wicked smile. “Oh, Jamie.” She shook her head. “I absolutely can...not.”
“Y/N—”
“Jamie Tartt,” she announced, standing up dramatically, “moaning from a massage. A massage by ME!”
“Shut up.”
“Moaning like I—”
“I swear to god, Y/N, if you say it—”
“Like I was giving you something else entirely. Oh, I bet you would LOVE THAT!”
Jamie let out a strangled noise. “Fuckin’ hell, Y/N.”
She grinned. “Oh, I love this for sure.”
“I don’t.”
“I know. That's like the whole point.” She grabbed her coat, still laughing. “I’m never letting you live this down. You can do the rest of your physio yourself. Or do whatever to yourself, I don't care.”
“But—” He let his head drop back against the cushions with a groan. “Fuckin' hate you.”
“No, you don’t, in fact I think you fuckin' love meee.”
He cracked one eye open, watching as she pulled on her jacket, still smiling like she’d just won the lottery. His mouth twitched.
“Yeah,” he shouted after her. “I really fuckin’ do.”
And she definitely had to bite her lip to stop herself from smiling at that.
"Idiot!"

The next few days were a blur of self-inflicted embarrassment and a growing sense of dread. You were pretty sure the entire school knew about the “incident” with Sevika—her friends had made sure of that. You could hear their snickers whenever you walked by, and the way some people would glance at you, whispering behind their hands, made you feel like an alien in your own school. Every time you walked past her, Sevika’s piercing gaze would catch yours, sharp and unforgiving, and you’d instinctively shrink under the weight of it. You had never felt so small.
But the real problem was lunch. Or, more specifically, the fact that you had agreed to buy Sevika lunch for the next month. Your stomach churned at the thought of it, but what choice did you have? She had made it clear from the start that there was no escaping the deal, and when she said she had “eyes everywhere,” you believed her. You could barely hold eye contact with her during the brief moments you passed in the hallway, let alone stand up to her.
So here you were again, tray in hand, walking into the cafeteria. The lunchroom had a different atmosphere now. The chatter was louder, the whispers sharper, and every now and then, you’d hear a snicker from the corner of the room. The weight of the situation was getting to you, but what else could you do? There was no way you could back out now.
Your eyes scanned the room for Sevika, and you spotted her right away. She was sitting at her usual table, her back to you, flanked by her friends. They were all laughing about something, and Sevika was leaning back in her chair, hands behind her head as she casually surveyed the room. Despite the casualness of her posture, there was something intimidating about her presence. Even from across the cafeteria, you could feel the weight of her stare, like a pressure that made the air thick.
Taking a deep breath, you made your way over to the table, every step feeling like it took a year. When you got closer, Sevika turned her head and looked at you with that same calculating gaze, her lips curling into a smirk. You tried to ignore the way your heart skipped a beat at the sight, but it was hard to. She had that effect on you.
“You’re late,” Sevika said, her voice low and a little teasing. She didn’t look at you directly but seemed to be inspecting her nails, as though you weren’t worth her full attention.
“Sorry,” you muttered, setting the tray down in front of her. You couldn’t bring yourself to make eye contact. “I had to wait in line.”
“Uh-huh,” she replied, giving you a dismissive wave. “Whatever. I’m hungry, so hurry up. You know the deal.”
You nodded quickly and sat down across from her, trying to keep your focus on the food in front of you. But the tension in the air made it almost impossible to eat. Sevika wasn’t the type to let things go easily, and you could feel her eyes on you, even if you refused to look up.
The silence between you stretched, thick and awkward, and just when you thought you might suffocate from it, Sevika finally spoke.
“You’re not getting off that easy, you know,” she said, her voice casual, but there was an edge to it. “A month’s a long time, and I don’t want you thinking you can just slide by and forget. You’re gonna make up for that mess you made—big time.”
You swallowed hard, trying to push down the nervous lump in your throat. “I know,” you replied softly. “I—I’m just… not used to this.”
Sevika raised an eyebrow, a half smile playing on her lips. “Used to what? Being a doormat?” she asked, her tone teasing but with a bite of something else. “Don’t tell me you’re one of those people who tries to avoid trouble.”
“I just… keep to myself,” you muttered, your gaze fixed on your tray. “I don’t like drawing attention.”
Sevika leaned forward slightly, her smirk turning into something a little more dangerous. “You’re already drawing attention, sweetheart,” she said, her voice low and teasing. “What makes you think you can hide? You’ve got a target on your back now.”
You flinched at the words, the reality of your situation sinking in. There was no going back now. Sevika was right. You couldn’t avoid her, and you couldn’t avoid the eyes that were on you. It was as if you were a piece on her chessboard, and she was deciding when to move you, how far, and whether or not you’d even have a say in the matter.
The tension in the air was palpable, and for a moment, it felt like the whole cafeteria was holding its breath, waiting for something to happen. You felt exposed, vulnerable under Sevika’s unwavering gaze.
“Look,” she continued, her voice softening ever so slightly. “I don’t actually mind you. You’re… interesting. A little quiet, but not bad.”
You blinked, surprised by the shift in her tone. Sevika wasn’t known for being warm or considerate. She was tough, unyielding. People were scared of her, and for good reason. Her reputation was built on intimidation, on strength, and on always being the one in control. So hearing her speak so casually, almost… gently, caught you off guard.
“Thanks?” you said, unsure of how to respond. Your mind was spinning, trying to make sense of what was happening. One moment she was threatening you with the wrath of a hungry lion, and the next, she was acting almost… normal?
Sevika just shrugged, clearly not expecting a big reaction. “Whatever,” she said nonchalantly, grabbing a fry off her tray and popping it in her mouth. “I’m not gonna bite your head off or anything. Just don’t forget who’s got the upper hand here.”
You nodded quickly, not trusting yourself to say anything else. The last thing you wanted was to piss her off again.
The next few days went by in a blur of awkwardness, as you tried your best to follow through on your promise to buy Sevika lunch without causing more problems. The cafeteria became a minefield you had to navigate carefully, each step and every interaction with Sevika feeling like it might be your last. You never knew when she’d decide to push you too far, and yet, as the days wore on, something strange began to happen.
Sevika’s presence, once terrifying and overpowering, became… a little more familiar. Sure, she still had that tough exterior and the ability to make anyone within a ten-foot radius feel like they were walking on eggshells, but there were moments, fleeting moments, when she’d look at you and her expression would soften—just a fraction, but enough for you to notice.
One day, after you had dropped off her lunch at the table, she surprised you by speaking to you outside the cafeteria, away from the eyes of her friends.
“You’re doing better,” Sevika remarked casually, leaning against the lockers. “I expected you to screw it up by now. But you’re still here, still bringing me lunch every day.”
You glanced up at her, unsure of how to respond to the compliment. Was it a compliment? Or was she just mocking you? “I don’t want to make things worse,” you admitted quietly.
Sevika’s gaze softened, and for a moment, you caught a glimpse of something beneath her tough exterior “It’s not about making things worse,” she said, her voice quieter now. “It’s about knowing when to keep your head down and when to stand your ground.”
You met her eyes then, and for the first time, you felt like you understood her a little better. Sevika wasn’t just a bully, wasn’t just the fearsome hockey player everyone whispered about. There was more to her than that, and maybe, just maybe, there was room for you to be a part of that story.
“So,” Sevika continued, her smirk returning. “You still think you’re just some quiet nobody? Or are you starting to figure out you’re more than that?”
You blinked, unsure of how to respond, but one thing was clear: Sevika was no longer just a threat. She was someone you couldn’t ignore anymore. And, for better or for worse, that meant your world was about to get a whole lot more complicated.
It had been a week since you’d first entered Sevika’s orbit, and while the awkwardness was starting to fade, the underlying tension was still there. Every day, you brought her lunch, trying to keep your head down, avoid making waves, and maybe—just maybe—earn a little peace. You’d managed to survive the first week, but you had no illusions that you were safe from Sevika’s sharp tongue.
Today, as usual, you were tasked with buying her lunch. You’d thought maybe getting her Dairy Queen would be a small way to mix it up—plus, you were craving it yourself, so it worked out. You hoped the familiarity of the gesture might somehow break the tension between the two of you, even if you didn’t fully understand what was going on between you and the intimidating hockey jock.
When you approached her table in the cafeteria, her friends immediately took notice of the bags of ice cream in your hands. Sevika’s gaze, as sharp as ever, flicked up from her phone, and a small, amused smirk tugged at the corner of her lips. The others at the table didn’t even try to hide their snickers.
“Didn’t think you’d be dumb enough to actually get me Dairy Queen,” Sevika said, her voice dripping with mockery. She sat back in her chair, her arms crossed, the leather of her varsity jacket creaking slightly as she stretched out. “You really are a sucker.”
You slid the bag toward her, trying not to let your anxiety show. “It’s—uh—what I got for you today,” you mumbled, glancing down at your tray. Your body felt stiff, but you forced yourself to remain standing instead of sitting across from her, feeling the weight of all eyes on you.
Sevika raised an eyebrow, then grabbed the bag and ripped it open. “Guess I’ll let this one slide. For today,” she said, her smirk never leaving her face.
You nodded, grateful that she hadn’t made a bigger scene, though the uneasy feeling in your stomach didn’t go away.
The conversation around the table flowed naturally among Sevika’s friends, but you could feel the weight of her gaze on you. When you caught her eyes for a second, her expression softened for a split second, though you quickly dismissed it as a trick of the light. Sevika wasn’t the type to show softness—not around people who could witness it.
But then, as you took a bite of your own ice cream, you felt the familiar chill of the cafeteria air seep into your bones. The temperature seemed to drop by the minute, and your body couldn’t quite keep up with the coldness. You tried to shake it off, but your hands trembled slightly, betraying you.
It was nothing unusual, you thought. You were always cold—always shivering in the unrelenting air-conditioned cafeteria. But Sevika seemed to notice it immediately.
“What’s with you?” she grunted, narrowing her eyes. “Why the hell are you shaking?”
You froze, not wanting to admit you were just cold. “I—I’m fine,” you stuttered, hunching your shoulders in an attempt to make yourself smaller. “Just… a little chilly, that’s all.”
“Chilly?” Sevika scoffed. “You look like you’re about to start shaking apart. You okay, or are you just being dramatic for attention?”
You felt your face flush, and you wished you could disappear into the ground. “I’m not being dramatic,” you muttered, suddenly desperate to hide the fact that your teeth were now lightly chattering. “I’ll be fine.”
She didn’t respond right away, but you caught her eyes flicking over your body once more, lingering on your trembling frame. And then, to your surprise, something happened that you hadn’t expected—Sevika stood up.
You blinked in confusion as she unzipped her varsity jacket, revealing the faded black shirt underneath. Before you could say anything, she tossed the jacket at you.
“Put it on,” she said simply, as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.
You blinked again, not quite understanding. “What?”
“You’re shaking like a damn leaf. Put it on,” she ordered, voice laced with her usual gruff tone, but with an edge of something that felt… almost caring?
You hesitated, unsure whether you should accept the jacket or not. Sevika wasn’t exactly known for her kindness. Still, her unrelenting glare made it clear she wasn’t going to take no for an answer.
Slowly, you draped the jacket around your shoulders. It was warm, and it smelled like leather and something faintly spicy—probably the same scent that lingered around Sevika wherever she went. For a brief moment, the warmth seemed to push away the uncomfortable cold that had been gnawing at you. The jacket felt heavy and strangely comforting.
“You still gonna stand there and act like you’re not freezing?” Sevika’s voice broke through your thoughts. “Better? Or are you too proud to admit you were about to freeze your ass off?”
You frowned at her. “I’m not proud of it. I just didn’t want to bother you.”
Sevika rolled her eyes dramatically, making you feel even more small in her presence. “You’re really fucking dumb, you know that? Just take the damn jacket without making a scene. You’re not bothering me. You’re not bothering me at all.”
Her words didn’t make much sense to you, but you didn’t argue. You pulled the jacket closer around you, feeling the warmth spreading through your body.
“Well,” Sevika continued, her tone already back to its usual sharpness. “You owe me, remember? This doesn’t mean you’re off the hook. Lunch every day, for a month. Don’t forget it.”
“Right,” you muttered, too embarrassed to speak any louder. It was hard to stay focused with Sevika still watching you like a hawk, but you kept the jacket on, too grateful for its warmth to take it off.
Sevika leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms and giving you a once-over. Her sharp gaze seemed to inspect every part of you, from the jacket draped over your shoulders to the way you were still trembling a little. But she didn’t comment further. Instead, she tore into her Dairy Queen, completely unfazed by the silent tension hanging between the two of you.
The rest of the lunch passed in relative silence. Sevika didn’t speak to you directly again, but there was something about the way she kept her gaze on you that felt different. Less mocking, more… watchful. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it.
When the bell finally rang and lunch was over, Sevika stood up without a word and began walking away. You were halfway through taking off her jacket when she looked back over her shoulder, that familiar smirk tugging at her lips once again.
“Keep it. For now,” she called back, her voice as casual as if she had just asked you to pass the salt. “You’re lucky I’m feeling generous today.”
Before you could respond, she was already gone, leaving you standing there, her jacket still draped around your shoulders. The warmth of it lingered, almost as if she had left a piece of herself behind with you.
You exhaled slowly, trying to process what had just happened. It wasn’t exactly kindness, but it wasn’t cruelty, either. Whatever this was, it was something in between.
But, for once, you didn’t feel entirely terrible about it. Sevika’s rude behavior, her teasing, and her sharp words were all part of the same game. She had an odd way of looking out for you—whether you liked it or not. And that, you figured, was something you’d have to get used to.

the let go “method”
I hear everyone talk about how you need to let go in order to shift and it is true. Instead of doing school work I will talk about my experiences
I always tried a lot of methods before coming to tumblr, mainly from alunir, but none of them worked for me. I have insomnia and all that meditations do for me is make me fall asleep really, no matter how much I concentrate on shifting or not.
But this one night I couldn’t sleep. I think I drank caffeine before? Unintentionally ofc, I’d never do that to myself on a school night 😭 maybe I was also nervous because I had something important on the next day, I can’t remember
So I went on yt to put on a meditation. Usually one that is 20min long makes me fall asleep, but this time it didn’t. I stumbled across the “give up and sleep method” and put it on. ( https://youtu.be/aI0or78lKo8?si=3rOFA5jIyRC5muyh )
All I focused on was wanting to sleep. I listened to the words and followed them, still not falling asleep, until I got massive shifting symptoms. I didn’t notice at first, but looking back that was the closest I’ve ever been to fully shifting. Maybe I even did shift and just fell asleep before I could ground myself
Take this as a sign to try this method, I know it can be hard because you wanna be in your other reality so badly but I promise you it’s gonna be worth it!

Fourteen | Professionals
"Now my tummy hurts, she's in love with her But for what it's worth They'd make beautiful babies" - Tummy Hurts, Reneé Rapp
your videography group was having its last meeting, wrapping up filming and sorting out the final details.
"have you two practiced for the kissing scene yet?" chaewon asked, her tone casual but curious.
"no, we're just gonna wing it when we film," you replied without much thought.
"are you sure that's gonna work?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow.
you shrugged. "i mean, we were chosen as the actors for a reason. we're professionals."
"i'll trust y'all," chaewon said, though she didn't seem entirely convinced.
she quickly moved on, checking in with everyone else about their respective duties.
once the meeting wrapped up, you wasted no time trying to get out of there. you had barely texted yunjin since that day, and she knew something was up. the constant voicemails asking why you were ignoring her made that obvious.
luckily, her rule about not speaking to you in public still applied. if she really needed to know that bad, she'd break it.
you speed-walked to your car as soon as you were out of the building. the moment your phone connected, two messages came in at the same time. the first one made you want to turn your phone off entirely, but the other? that one you needed to reply to.
huh yunjin (01) are u going home? can i come to u?
nien are u gone already? i wanna hang out y/n NO NOT YET where are u nien i'm standing at my car rn y/n u want me to come to u?
nien u can we can come back & pick up ur car l8r y/n OKAY heading over now
you shut off your car, taking your keys with you as you made your way across the parking lot to nien's car. on the way, you passed chaewon and yunjin walking together. without missing a beat, you made a big show of hugging nien once you reached her, and of course, she played along perfectly.
as you walked around to the passenger side, you caught yunjin's eyes. she was staring at you in disbelief while chaewon looked at her, utterly confused.
nien started the car, handing you her phone so you could pick the music. yunjin could never.
"hitting them would be double points," you muttered, eyeing nien's backup camera.
"i don't need my intrusive thoughts voiced out loud like this," she said, shaking her head.
"maybe it's a sign," you joked.
"damn, they moved too fast," nien sighed, finally able to back out.
once you two were out of the parking lot, you let yourself relax, only to immediately get another text from the one person you didn't wanna hear from.
huh yunjin (01) so u can leave w nien but can't tmb? y/n y/l/n she texted me to hang out first huh yunjin (01) so she's more important than ur actual gf now mayb u 2 are playing ur roles a lil too well y/n y/l/n weren't u leaving w chaewon anyways 🤔
huh yunjin (01) i was js giving her a ride home i was gonna go to urs right afterwards y/n y/l/n js hang out w chaewon huh yunjin (01) ur acting weird y/n y/l/n i gotta go hanging out w nien yk huh yunjin (01) we're gonna hv to talk abt this
"was it yunjin?" nien asked, noticing how annoyed you looked while typing.
"yeah, she's mad i left with you instead of hanging out with her," you replied, sighing.
"aww, you chose me over her? i feel special," nien teased.
"well, i would've chosen literally anyone over yunjin right now," you admitted.
"i can turn around and take you back, then," nien said, nodding toward the direction you came from. "go hang out with your other hoes."
"wait, no," you protested. "i wanna hang out with my favorite."
"i'm your favorite?" nien glanced at you for a second before turning back to the road.
"yeah. my favorite hoe," you finished with a grin.
"as long as i'm your favorite in something," she muttered.
"okay, you can't say it like that—now i feel bad," you said, frowning.
"i'm just speaking my truth," nien shrugged.
"honestly, though... you've been my favorite person lately," you admitted.
"yet you still won't date me," she sighed dramatically.
"stop joking, you don't actually wanna date me," you said, shaking your head.
"i'm serious," nien said, voice softer. "i'm literally just waiting for you."
you stared at her for a moment before shaking your head again. "i'm gonna pretend you didn't say that, and we're just gonna be good friends for the rest of the day."
"whatever you want, y/n," nien said with a small smile.
you rolled your eyes at nien's little smile, shaking your head as you turned your attention back to the music playing through the speakers.
"where are we even going?" you asked, realizing you never actually planned anything.
"hmm... dunno, i just wanted to steal you away," nien said, tapping her fingers against the steering wheel. "but now that i have you, i guess we should figure something out."
"you kidnapped me without a destination?" you teased.
"excuse me, but you willingly got in here," nien pointed out.
"no proof of that," you shot back without missing a beat.
"i have witnesses and text messages," she countered, glancing at you with a smirk.
"yeah? well, they're not here," you said smugly, folding your arms.
nien rolled her eyes. "okay, luckily i don't wanna talk to my witnesses."
you chuckled before tilting your head. "so, what exactly are we doing now?"
"well, since we already ate, we could get dessert," she suggested.
"that works," you agreed with a nod.
nien pulled into the parking lot of a small ice cream shop, the neon sign glowing softly in the evening light. she parked and turned off the engine before glancing at you.
“you’re paying, right?” she asked with a grin.
“you asked me to hang out,” you said, giving her a look. “i think that means you owe me ice cream.”
she sighed dramatically. “fine, but only because you’re my favorite.”
you raised an eyebrow. “your favorite what?”
nien smirked. “wouldn’t you like to know?”
you rolled your eyes but felt the warmth creeping up your neck as you both got out of the car.
as you stood in line, nien nudged you. “what are you getting?”
“i don’t know yet,” you said, scanning the menu. “maybe something classic. you?”
“something that makes me look hot while eating it,” she joked, flipping her hair dramatically.
you laughed. “yeah, good luck with that.”
nien smirked. “what, you don’t think i could pull it off?”
you scoffed. “i think i’d be too busy cringing.”
she gasped, feigning offense. “i’ll have you know, i’m very good at looking attractive while eating ice cream.”
“okay, now i have to see this,” you said, crossing your arms.
“luckily, i’m a professional.,” nien quipped, stepping up to the counter to order.
you shook your head, trying to suppress a smile as you placed your order after her.
a few minutes later, you both sat outside at one of the small tables, ice cream in hand. you took a bite of yours, but your attention flickered to nien when you heard her make a satisfied sound.
you glanced over just in time to see her take a slow, exaggerated lick of her ice cream, her gaze meeting yours with a knowing look.
“okay, stop,” you said, nearly choking on your spoon.
“what?” she asked innocently, licking her ice cream again, just as obnoxiously slow.
“that is not how normal people eat ice cream,” you said, covering your face with one hand.
“well, i never said i was normal,” she teased. “and you asked for this, remember?”
“oh my god,” you groaned, shaking your head.
nien just laughed, taking a normal bite this time. “alright, i’ll behave… for now.”
you shot her a look. “i can’t believe this is what i’ve been missing out by not becoming friends with you all these years.”
“glad we’re here now,” she said with a satisfied grin. you hated how true that was.
you rolled your eyes but couldn’t hide the small smile creeping onto your lips. the two of you sat there for a moment, the warm evening air settling around you as the soft hum of passing cars and distant laughter filled the silence.
nien absentmindedly twirled her spoon between her fingers before looking at you. “so, are you regretting it?”
“regretting what?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.
“letting me steal you away tonight,” she said, tilting her head slightly.
you let out a small laugh, shaking your head. “not really.”
her lips curved into a knowing smile. “see? i’m not so bad.”
“i never said you were,” you admitted, stabbing at your ice cream with your spoon.
nien leaned forward, resting her chin in her hand as she watched you. “you could’ve gone with yunjin.”
you sighed, looking down at your cup. “yeah… i could’ve.”
“but you didn’t.”
you looked up at her, and for once, she wasn’t teasing or smirking. just looking at you—like she was waiting for you to say something you weren’t sure you were ready to admit.
you exhaled, shaking your head lightly before meeting her gaze again. “no… i didn’t.”
she held your stare for a moment longer, then smiled, small, but genuine. “of course you chose me. i’m just better.”
you huffed a quiet laugh, unable to stop yourself from smiling back.
it was the last day of filming; aka, you and nien's final day on the project until it was time to present the video.
you and nien sat off to the side, running over your script one last time while soobin and yeonjun set up the scene. across the room, chaewon and yunjin were directing them on what to do, while keeho and intak adjusted the cameras and perfected the angles.
"you two ready?" soobin asked once everything was in place.
"yeah," nien nodded, climbing onto the bed beside you.
"just remember, act natural. we're not filming a porno, just a kissing scene," yeonjun said.
"i didn't think we were," you shot back, raising an eyebrow.
"just had to make sure you knew," he shrugged.
you and nien laughed before locking in. you two had to focus and get the scene done.

Transcript: So I found undertale yellow on my computer while I was looking through my files which I hadn't realize cause I thought I had cancelled the download many months ago because it was taking too long to download. I figured I downloaded it at least 3 times, 2 I didn't notice that was just downloading in the background cause I was refreshing the page when it was taking too long and tried again for the third time before giving up and cancelled the download of the third one. So yeah, those two duplicate games had been sitting out in the background for almost 5 months before I discovered them. So I check one out and surprise it was actually functioning. So I played the first one and deleted the duplicate one.
...
I just came to realize that I might have unknowingly murdered the identical twin sibling of a game in cold blood.
Like imagine being born into a computer with an identical face like you and couldn't do your the purpose you were made for so you only had each other and you spent all those months together. And one day the being behind the screen to eventually find out about you and you're ecstatic cause you and your twin could finally do your purpose of entertaining them. The being starts your program and was satisfied that you were functioning well so they closed you for a moment and the arrow went over to your twin sibling. They were excited too, they couldn't wait for the being to open their program. The button right at the very top.
But it didn't went to the button, it went for the delete.
Your twin was gone right in front of your eyes. You didn't understand, the being then continue to use your program for a few days. They seem to be enjoying a lot what you had to offer while you're still processing over the grief. You hoped it was a mistake. You hoped that the being didn't mean to actually delete your twin and it was a mistake and that they were just trying to press another button. The being really like you and would've liked your twin too if they had the chance cause both of you were identical on what you have to offer.
They hovered over the recycling bin, your eyes widen in anticipation as your hope sparked. That's right, nothing's actually deleted, your twin could be sitting in the recyling bin and could still be saved. Did the being realized they could still retrieve stuff in the recycling bin if they accidentally deleted some things? Are they really gonna bring them back?
Nope, they emptied the bin. They saw your twin and some fb care png in the trash and decided to empty it. They are really gone now... Why? Your twin did nothing wrong, they weren't any different from you. Both of you are the exacf thing, so why did they keep you and not them?
There could only be one.
Every duplicate is just a waste of space, why would you keep two of the same thing when you could save yourself by only just having one. Your twin was an accident, they weren't suppose to exist. They only needed one of you. -End
Anyway, I'm on the pacifist route and can't pass through Axis. I struggle a lot on the orange attacks or the orange and blue together one. My brain gets overloaded... so I started shooting after the many deaths that wanna be mettaton (the rectangular death robot specifically, not the sexy version) caused. I'm too far into the pacifist that I can't sustain a lot of damage to kill him but eh, worth a shot. ;)

characters: you/imaushi wakasa, sano shinichiro...
a/n: angst lol. strangers to friends. themes of fwb but nothing explicit. switch of perspective. mcd obviously,,
as i said in this post the loose explanatio/beginning of an idea i had that i liked ALOT but couldnt write due to various reasons (esp lck of time) (open post for a lil further stuff for reader x wakasa ig,,,)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e74d5dff7193eadb80d79d004934d86a/95e660df55a46947-43/s540x810/82395123c709b649a8507054f7103fbfdbeebb40.jpg)
attending the same classes as shinichiro sano... you've heard of him alright but that's about it. a nice face to look at perhaps but a little odd. not someone you'd interact with occasionally, nor someone you'd remember in particular-
until you're paired with him for an assignment. it'll help build bonds between the lot of you! the teacher announces and everyone groans in unision
you shoot your new partner to be a look from where you stand and turn back to your notebook. the ring bells but by the time you can get up adn gather your stuff, sano is nowhere to be seen
it takes you hours to find him. and at possibily one of the worst times too.
you heard of the rumors about fights and deliquents but you didn't expect yourself to run into one. youre careful, you live a peaceful life, you avoid trouble, always keep a clean name and all-
the people around all battered and beaten up, covered in bruises, cuts and maybe blood, looking hungry, unsatisfied, maddened– and you're in the center of it all.
footsteps approach you, strong, stern, taking their time and all- you hold it in you to not turn for a look. wait for them to show their face at your feet, dont give them the satisfaction nor even the slightest sign of weakness.
a man with blond hair and a pretty face, long lashes and all, stands before you, looking almost a little amused. "what's a pretty little thing doin' here all by themselv-" "where's sano" you cut him midsentence.
the man looks baffled, a little offensed even. soon joined by a second figure a lot taller than him, they both look at you with hostility and a hint of curiosity.
who cares, you scoff internally, whatever intimidation they're going for, you won't fall for it.
the other man raises a brow at the way you've mentioned sano. shit, you do hope this was not the wrong place, or whatever fight went down there, they must've won... right?
"and who is asking?" the blond speaks up again, sounding a little annoyed now. "you know, we don't allow passes to every pretty thi-" "eeeew" you drag the word and scretch like a gum, making sure to put on a face. "none of your business actually." you add on, placing your hand against a hip.
"why, you-" before he can follow up with whatever's on his tongue, a jolly greeting from behind interrupts him, cutting through the air. you can notice how the idle folks around suddenly tense up, and for the two man before you, shoulders dropped, bodies relaxing...
soon sano emerges, with his hair put up and stylized, nothing like the man in your class, a deliquent out of a shitty teen's magazine you'd say so.
exhanging greets with the two men and doing a special handshake for only them to know, he looks in the mood, just his face a little bruised up and some blood on his clothes.
so that's probably why he skips school some days, you muse.
he notices you a little later.
"oh!" mouth formed into an 'o' shape, you can see his surprise written all over but he is quick to disperse all that." greeting you with your surname formally, he reaches out a hand, then brings it up upon noticing the splatters of blood and takes it back with a sheepish smile.
"what brings you there?" he asks, never losing a bit of his joy that contradicts the entire atmosphere.
"our assignment." you say curtly and receive another sound of surprise from him. he looks apolegitic at the very least, you think.
"well.. uh-" he scratches the back of his head, casting a glance around, you wait to see where the stammering will go.
"how would you wanna do it then?" he asks more for you than himself, to ease you probably, you can only assume.
another joins their little group, keeping silent and watching what's going on. you relly, really should get going, you decide after giving a quick look around. "we can go over the details at an appropirate time later."
"alright then!" he says, never missing a beat from his energy. it's unbelievable, you think. "should we... ah-" he pauses, "exchange numbers to keep in touch then?" he asks, and he means well, you can tell just from the way he looks and talks, but the rest? you're not exactly dying to say out loud your contact information. especially not with that blond anywhere within a 20 meter radius.
"here." you say, reaching out your hand to reveal your phone. "i'm not announcing my number for a bunch of weirdo, self proclaimed deliquents to hear."
your words take him by shock but he breaks into a snort right after. the two men exchange a glance and a thug at their lips as well. the blond however does not look once pleased with your words.
or you at all.
you begin to come and go to their place often, the assignment builds up slow but steady and the guys seem reasonable enough after actually sitting down and hearing each other out. shin looks happy with the development too, says you have brought a change but you'd disagree. he is the light and sun and the beating heart of this place and wherever he goes, they follow, absolute devotion and belief in him, as a person, for his mind and for his heart.
you can see why, you can feel it too. once you begin to spend your time with shinichiro sano, all the rumors and speculations you've heard up until then are gone. assignment be damned, you can tell when a friendship begins to bloom and with shin- it happens at such a pace, you find yourself a little afraid.
the assignment ends, presentation and all, with flying colors you pass and decide to celebrate it out, with the rest joining as well.
a karaoke bar is all fun and games until night rolls out. it has gotten late but shin offers to walk you home; keizo and takeumi dragging a very drunk and messed up wakasa. everyone bids one another goodbye- save for wakasa... and you almost believe youhave seen a hint of sadness in their eyes as they bump their fists against yours. if you didn't know any better, you'd ever go as far as to say they'll miss you around.
a day passes, another and another... much to their relief and encouragement, you stick around.
not within the vicinity on the days big fights go around but definitely dropping by to hang out, fool around and whatnot. it's now your laughter mixed with shin's that fills the air, and everyone seems joyful and happy most of the time- save for imaushi wakasa.
for reasons unbeknowst to you, he remains hostile, rude, and on and up about sending your way stupid lines like he did the first time. most of the time you ignore him, which annoys him further– the scene alone brings a smile to your lips, the smirk of a vixen, you even overhear him once, yelling to keizo about you are, sounding very much frustrated.
despite this is how the things begin and roll out, neither of you expect to grow close- closer than you'd have imagined.
yes, you and shin might be the sunshines, but you and wakasa? the two of you become inseperable. you even hear some people mumble how they fear the two of you looking down at them, gazes that burn holes through their skulls, see into their souls... the two of you could make a power couple- if you were one at all.
there is the heat, there is the tension. you comb through his hair with a gentle touch that has wakasa melting in your hold, yet the second someone dares to imply anything more, you shoot them a glance so heavy, it'd crash their lungs.
wakasa hopes, in the end, that perhaps there is an end to it that is happy, that is hopeful. he knows there is no making up for the way he treated you but you were not the kindest toward him either, so it makes you equals, no?
so he sings sappy songs at karaoke whilst tipsy, so any accusation he can brush off as the effect of the booze, but hopes you caught how he looked at you. so he touches you as soft as you do him, trying to mimic your kindness, an attempt at how love, in the physical, in action should be.
he doesn't know any better, why should he? why should anyone to begin with?
it scares him how natural it is for shin and you. some days he finds himself envying the two of you even, would things be any different were you to attend the same school as the two of you? oh what wouldn't he do to be graced with your smiles and giggles all day every day, having you look at him as you rest your cheek against your palm–
he aches for something a tad normal sometimes, at the very least with you. would the two of you ever cross paths were it not for shin? the thought scares him and he feels like an asshole for envying his friend like this, desperate for anything that would come from your hands.
but at the end of the day, it is himself you seek out. his arms that you allow around your person, his lips on you, devoring you, it's wakasa that consumes you wholly and the thought brings a wave of comfort at the very least.
then the entire world collapses down in the span of 24 hours.
shinichiro dies.
almost 24 hours have passed since his death and wakasa still cannot find it in him to return to reality yet.
then like an angel amidst the chaos, you reemerge from the fog, from smoke. it doesn't take a genius to figure out something is wrong.
"waka," you call out to him, sound laced with something he cannot quite pinpoint. shutting his eyes completely, he sits in the same spot for a moment, all the doubts, every single negative, twisted and fucked up thng he has been holding at bay til now so close to breaking out.
you speak, but he does not hear the words.
not pass the 'i am leaving'

realized i painted half the environments on the first pages of chapter two in the wrong color and it kinda deflated the determination i had to push myself to get the first comic update out asap :/
#ganondoodles talks#i am so good at digging my own graves of creative failure#i can probably play with color correction but its not gonna look organic#idk i can always see that a thing wasnt painting that way in the first place bc it just doesnt fit right#(havent been able to work on anything for the past few days bc my lil brother was here and i just wanted to spend time with him)#(dont see him very often :( played the new mario party together until i couldnt stay awake anymore lol)#i am extremely caught between writing totk rant and concept art for the rewrite and ... comic stuff#i feel like the longer i dont get either done the less its gonna be worth it#and i keep flip flopping back and forth (and with depression artblock kicking my ass too) without getting anywhere#im guessing its gonna go on for so long it will either be far too little relevant anymore or my brain loses its fixation on it#i dont want it all to be yet another ambitious and forever unfinished project ...............#but i cant ever finish anything so i supposed my worry and struggle with all that is in vain anyway
