probably another hot take but i really do not like it when artists -- once again, especially on here and twitter -- will essentially beg and demand for reblogs and go on about how likes are “worthless” and shit

as a small artist myself who gets like fuck all traction, i literally do not care if someone reblogs my art or not, i appreciate likes just as much, sure it’s great when people reblog and yeah i definitely prefer it, but i’m not going to throw a hissy fit over it if someone doesn’t lmao

i get it, obviously, we need to get our art out there for people to see so that we can get work, so it can suck when you get little to no reblogs/shares, and voicing your frustrations about that is fine, but the reality is that sometimes people just simply don’t like your work enough to share it, and that’s fine, or it’s just something that doesn’t cross peoples minds which is also fine

but you aren’t entitled to people reblogging/retweeting your artwork
