#it’s expensive sure: but it’s been tickling my daydreams lately; there and new york too

when i go up to monterey next month, i’m going to eat donuts and pie and chicken and waffles, and it helps that our hotel will literally be across the street from black bear diner—so, if my mom’s taking a nap or we don’t feel like eating breakfast in the hotel, i’ll mosey on over there: hell, if i find myself bored at some point like what happened last year, i might even go over there to have my dream lunch of a reuben sandwich with curly fries and a big oreo shake. and i’m going to walk on the beach and along cannery row and get hit with sea spray and find shells to take home with me because it’s my 30th birthday and my poor battered belly deserves a big slice of pie and a big milkshake and i’ve been saving my money, too, so i’m gonna carpe all the diems over that whole-ass weekend.
