feeling very "oh no! anyway" rn but i hope to get around. i just had an overall shitty day i guess (or at least "mid" to shitty) and i kept getting taken out of the immersion by little kids yaping away (and their parents not stopping them) and the godawful dub plus i had extremely low blood pressure again so it was just like looking at a powerpoint presentation of someone badly explaining the movie while the fandubs were playing in the back of my head (second half/ending of the movie was just "THATS RIGHT YOU UGLY LITTLE GIRL" and "tire tire tire tire tire")

Today I tried rewatching season 4 from the perspective of an audience member who had zero clue about Will’s sexuality before starting the season. I tried stripping my mind of any outside information and just watching the show unfold. And I realized that without context, especially if I was a straight audience member who didn’t easily pick up on queerness, there’s nothing in volume 1 that explicitly televises Byler or Will’s sexuality if you aren’t looking for it. There’s little details and some blink and you’ll miss it vaguely coded convos. But if you had no idea about Byler previously, I feel like it can easily go over your head. Even the painting is a detail that can easily be forgotten. I feel like the first explicit sign is volume 2 and the painting confession but without knowing Will is gay and in love with Mike previously, even that might be somewhat confusing. Thoughts?
i feel like they did show enough of wills feelings this season but i do find it kinda fascinating how much it has to be completely spelled out for most the straight audience. when s3 came out and mike said “its not my fault you dont like girls” i completely took that as them confirming hes gay especially with the destroying castle byers scene after. i remember watching that for the first time and being like “oh shit its official” and then i went on twitter and saw so many people arguing about it and saying thats not what he meant and i was so surprised. people who would make harmless gay memes about will would get so much hate from people who claim he just “hasnt matured yet”.
my straight 25 year old brother and his gf watched the whole show for the first time recently and i watched that episode from s3 with them and when it got to that line i was curious what their reaction would be and my brother just kinda made a noise like “oh shit” but didnt say anything else and his gf didnt really react. when i first saw it my jaw dropped.
then when they started s4 he facetimed me after he finished volume one and we talked about the whole thing and he didnt mention wills feelings at all. it was the painting scene and the scene with will and jonathan that actually made him realize will loves mike. he said he kinda thought maybe he liked him but wasnt positive until the painting scene. but i was talking with his gf’s bi sister after volume one first came out and she already picked up on wills feelings. it was so obvious in my opinion but i guess queer people just pick up on gay subtext quicker.
i mean i picked up on it way back in s2. i didnt think theyd actually go through with it then, but i did notice mike treated will a lot differently than lucas and dustin. it wasnt even the crazy together scene that made me first notice it, it was the one right before it when mike was super protective of will and asked him if hes hurt and then put his arm around him and took him to his house. that was the first time i was like “hmm 🤔”. i remember finishing the season and thinking “im not crazy right?? theres something there? im not just shipping it bc i love gay fiction?” and then i went on here and found people talking about and i was like ok good its not just me.
anyways, i do think they did enough to reveal wills feelings even tho he didnt fully come out and i think after the painting scene anybody who rewatched s4 would notice other things like the “cool, cool” scene and when hes telling mike its scary to open up to people.
mike on the other hand i really wish they did more for, mostly by breaking up mlvn for good. that alone, would have made people wonder if he’d like will back bc he would be single. and they’d wonder why exactly he couldnt say he loved el and then think about all the other clues, especially the very last shot of all the couples very spaced out and paired together including mike and will. i told my brother that i think mikes gay and he literally just thought i misspoke and said “you mean will?”. its that oblivious to the straight audience. theres only one more season left they REALLY should have done more for mike if byler is actually endgame. i will never stop saying it, i think it was such a mistake to have that monologue if bylers truly endgame.
#i also think it was a mistake bc it forced poor finn to be subjected to another round of press where every question is about mlvn#imagine knowing your characters gay for probably the last two seasons and always having to answer questions about his straight relationship#id lose my shit#i dont blame noah for never shutting up about byler hes speaking out for the both of them#byler#stranger things#eden answers

hello! your anon here. through trials and tribulations, i return. (real life has been shit.) and so i indulge instead in a thought experiment/alternate universe:
how fundamentally different olivia would be if she had been raised by her father, but he was still a rapist. she still finds out too young, but its not because her mother cannot fully forgive her the sin of being born, but because he gets arrested.
she is still alone, without a family. still struggles to reckon with the truth of who her father is, still feels the need to atone for it.
but serena also played such a key role in olivia's life, for the little we hear of her, what we know cuts deep. would she still find her way to svu? i think yes, because there's no olivia without svu, really. not in that its all she is, but in that there would be a fundamental piece of her missing if she weren't in that unit, something inside her soulwould still be lost for not being that kind of advocate. it's who she is.
but how would her outlook on the suspects be different? especially at the beginning?
i rewatched the early seasons not too long ago, and olivia was harsh, elliot had to coach her through some of the necessary sympathy/compassion. not that it wasnt there, but that it wasnt soft, the way it needed to be in certain interactions.
how different would her perspective be?
because part of the journey her character goes on (particularly in season 8) is dealing with the fact that she knew her father was terrible but still wanted him - or, at least, wanted a father who wanted her.
what would her life have been like if she'd had that, but still had a rapist for a father?
I am so sorry things have been rough for you anon I hope this week is better!!!
I'm gonna try to break this down bc oooof this is good and I have. Many thoughts.
If Olivia grew up with a father, and the truth is revealed when she's young? Oh man I gotta sit down.
Ok so first of all I imagining, then, that under this scenario maybe Serena didn’t know what he was, and Liv spends the first few years of her life happy. She remembers what if felt like to be happy, to have two parents and a warm home, and then to have it all ripped away from her. To learn that love exists but it does not stay - at least not for her. To remember a time when her mother wasn’t bitter and angry, and resent the loss of it. To war with herself, bc she loves the father she remembers and hates the man he turns out to be. I think she would be even less trusting, under these circumstances. Even harder.
Which brings us to the next point - how different Liv would be when she first arrives at SVU and anon, my goodness, I could just kiss you on the mouth, bc I posted this back in July when I was rewatching s2:
YOU ARE SO RIGHT ANON Liv is initially hard, and Elliot does have to coach her god that is such a perfect way to phrase it. I think if we combine the hardness and the black and white view points she had in early seasons with this backstory, we get a character who looks even more like Amanda Rollins, tbh. More defensive of herself, even less trusting, and angry, bc she had a taste of happiness and then had it stolen from her.
And what if, then, the s8 arc - Liv finding out who her father is, struggling with wanting to know him and feeling like maybe she shouldn’t, wishing she had a father who’d loved her but knowing that only father she had was the man who broke her mother and trying to reconcile those two things - was replaced with Liv’s father trying to reconnect. How would she process that? Wanting, so badly, to reclaim the happiness and the love that she knew in her childhood, knowing that not only is this man her blood but that they did have a relationship, once, wanting to hate him for what he did, for the women he hurt, for the way it destroyed their family, wanting to hate him bc he’s no better than the perps she puts away every day, but he’s her father. And does she see her father’s face echoed in every man she arrests? Does that make her hate them more, or does it make her hate herself bc she can’t dehumanize them, can’t make them all into monsters, bc if they’re monsters so is the father she loved and maybe so is she?
This is heavy and it is good god bless you anon 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

(kind of depressing) psychological analysis of jack atlas --involving ramen.
So, if youve watched YGO 5Ds entirely (meaning the subbed version as the dub never finishes the ending season) you’d have picked up on Jack’s obsession with instant cup ramen, which would be fine for any character really but it seems out of character for the pompous, upper-class (wannabe), arrogant luxurious Jack Atlas aka THE KING.
But actually it reveals a lot about him, and actually is really depressing... There is a massive link between ramen and his lost childhood.
In season 1 we see NO sign of this obsession or even care for ramen. The only thing he obsesses over to any degree is a) duelling Yusei to claim King b) saving Carly from the Dark Signers or arguably c) trying to figure out his own character as a king (after beaten by Yusei)
But, in Season 2 where he is (arguably...) “redeemed” from villain to teammate/rival, he gains a bit of comedic flare with his obsession with the cheap ramen cups. (and expensive posh coffee). The coffee obsession suits him. But cheap instant ramen?
His obsession starts Episode 80, where Lazar/Yaeger steals Team 5Ds’ engine programme as well as a cup of ramen. Jack’s reaction is... comedic?
He’s more pissed at the fact his ramen was taken than the whole important, irreplaceable engine programme theft. Comedic. But his irritation at losing ramen continues in episodes 114-5, where again lazar/yager steals some ramen he wouldve bought and his reaction is...
He is in total fear of just not having ramen. In fact, he even hoards it - shown in episode 115 where he brings it out to give to lazar.
This is the episode that makes all this comedy turn dark and really depressing.
He reveals that the flavour of ramen reminds him of childhood at Martha’s, sharing it with Yusei, Crow, and the other orphans. This means that his obsession is like a psychological association to childhood, like sensory association, like how many people can recognise and get nostalgic over smells and tastes without even knowing why. Jack hoards and eats ramen defensively because he longs for childhood - whether its the relationship he had with friends or the carelessness of childhood, he misses it in comparison to adult life. I mean... who can blame him - theres a reason why so so so many conditions exist mentally that cause people to retract into childhood behaviours, like the whole AdultBaby lifestyle (wont get into it but the platonic side of it is a longing for childhood often lost) or where people continue hobbies such as certain toy collecting etc that they did as kids, OR that they longed to do as kids but just couldnt do for whatever reason/restriction.
he even wants recognition from Yusei for remembering that flavour/memory:
This is why he makes no mention of this in Season 1. Jack S1 was all about the present -no future nor past. He hated his past in Satellite w Yusei etc, openly wanting to ignore it, perhaps guilty for stealing Yusei’s card etc or overall hating that limited and depressive situation. (I have a headcanon Jack genuinely fell into a depression in Satellite and just acted to get out, but thats too deep for this current time lmao)
Because he didnt want ANY reminder of his past (hence hatred of Yusei, Crow, Kalin, and the entirety of Satellite, or “Satellite scum/trash” as he calls them in the dub), he doesnt want ramen.
But, S2, he is reformed and has his old friends back, and even martha has accepted him back. So, he realises the error of his ways, and reclines into his lost and mentally more stable childhood. Through ramen.
His childhood wasnt happier - satellite was at its worst, they were struggling, he had no freedom, in comparison to the S2 situation where he achieved duelling fame, has friends back, and satellite and Neo Domino are united (kinda)
BUT maybe he wants to go back and correct things? Or live a guilt-less and resent-less life again, not having done any wrong? I mean this is impossible to say, but clearly his ramen obsession, now being linked w childhood, means a longing to go back for some reason.
It’s clear he shows regret or sadness over childhood/lost childhood: the only time he cries in the show with tears are over memories from childhood with ramen;
His face is streaming with tears because of Lazar’s story about ramen and childhood which he related to. He is SO intensely emotional over ramen that it does come of as comedic, which is really strange for the rival character as serious/uptight as jack. I mean, could you imagine Kaiba ever acting like this over, idk, cereal? maybe one time he shared a bowl of cornflakes with mokuba and now he cries every morning eating his cereal because of those memories. idk.
this is 115 when Sherry cuts the pile of ramen boxes out of impatience, Jack is IN HORROR of his prized collection being attacked like this. its like she’s cutting up his childhood memories or something. I mean, it basically is, apparently.
...
His comment to Crow summarises all this, 114. He has just screamed at Lazar for stealing “his” ramen (it was the old lady’s but ok jack) Crow asks him to calm down
its right, he cant, no one can. Its something in his mind relating to his childhood, losing ramen or even being in a situation where his ramen might not be “his” safely, unsettles Jack. Ramen represents his childhood in some regard, and the anxiety of losing it causes him to become incredibly defensive and on edge.
-
im sorry for this random and kinda deep/depressing take on Jack. I know we should be thinking positive rn in the current global pandemic, but i just needed to get this analysis thing out there (more a rant actually) because it really struck me when S2 made jack have a weird “comedic” element about him, in his reformed state. It’s not so much comedic, but deep and suiting his character. His obsession over ramen is not just a gag to make him more like a good-guy now he is teammates with Crow and Yusei etc, but it develops his character and gives him reformation in a completely different sense -- it doesnt force his goodness out by just making him into a comedy-relief, but rather gives him emotional backing for his mistakes and wrongdoing in the previous season, and actusally makes it kind of depressing how he arrogantly tried to forget and destroy his past in Satellite with his friends.
gimme any thoughts you have on this, if you made it this far through the rant (i applaud and love you if you did!!)
i thought of all this because in the current global situation, most people are limited inside and getting depressing, sometimes its better to mentally retract and go back to better times when this whole thing wasnt going on, and for Jack that was childhood. Sorry for philosophical rant lol, at 1am in the morning for my part of the world~
here is funny pic to say sorry and lighten the mood~
(that chef has seen some dark things in his life... )
#jack atlas#yugioh 5ds#yugioh#deep#character rant#im really sorry lol#ramen#cupramenshipping#there is a reason that exists eeeeee#psychology#have a good night as i wont now

did you catch up to s2 of furuba? thoughts?
yes i did!! ok so my main thoughts are oh my god the ending episode was like sooo aggravating cuz its just frankly kind of stupid to end like wow huge shock akitos a woman when idk the entire context of why that even matters is how it informs her own abusive upbringing and volatile relationship with her mom like cutting that in half is sooooo stupid to me i was like furiously flipping thru the manga when that happened like oh my god they really ended it like that!!! Its just bizarre idk how u keep the emotional thru line for anime onlies like literally its one conversation and the beginning and end will be like 6 months apart lol if it had to end on that convo could it just have been the reveal of kurenos curse being broken that at least comes to a cathartic end with the whole like i cant fly anymore or whatever line... like much as i hate kureno its like its a good moment we can admit that much but ok ive been like following up with like very nice helpful guide on the fruits basket subreddit where they always pick out the shit missing from the manga or like reordering and my god the sheer lack of kyo in the second half of this season like its criminal what do you have against kyo i feel insane like the number of random cute kyo and tohru moments they just plucked out never to be seen again..... aaaah what is wrong with you i cannot comprehend why their minds are so tiny and full of hate for cats like ok ... its especially annoying cuz like my least favorite development in his character is gonna be coming in the next season so like okaaaay we dont get more breaks from that or whatever.. like ok i am being extremely negative but i think idk i guess there wasnt really anything i felt was done actually better than the manga this season whereas season 1 i had a lot of stuff i was like damn this is better and this is better so this feels like a bit of a let down like dont get me wrong i loved fruits basket mondays tbh very convenient to have my therapy and fruits basket on the same day like emotions are for mondays only and im very sad its gone like all of yukis whole development this season is like one of the best parts of fruits basket tho i kind of have some questions why they reordered stuff and smushed it together so some parts felt like one super long day... i wish that the parent teacher conference was as early as it is in the manga its like such an important turning point for yuki that he like finally confronts his mom in his own way and asks for a bit more freedom (getting a phone) and like idk that just feels like the place hes gotta be in to start opening up to the student council!! And i love how he finally sees ayame as a bit of an ally and they can see eye to eye for just one moment idk its just a really good part of yukis arc and i feel like the placement matters!! ok the funniest thing about the whole modern adaptation is how yuki looks like an elderly man with how little he seems to understand about technology its sooooo funny like ok make way for grandpa... also that they kept everyones confusion about video cameras and dvds from like 2003 and had them act like that today really got me giggling also we finally saw sorta cinderella truly i have been waiting like 9 years for this and finally finally.... ok this was long and all over the place but those are my thoughts also yukeru is real

Ive finished watching eleven seasons of rupauls drag race and now feel I am ready to briefly review each season
S1: A good start though it must be said, ONGINA WAS ROBBED! Also there was favoritism.
S2: Not a bad season but at least somewhat ruined by Rupauls rather overt favoritism towards Tyra and dislike of Pandora. While I didnt like Tyra on the show his callout of the entire drag community after leaving drag has given me massive respect for him and feels like karma for RuPauls rather blatant self promotion and attempts to turn himself into some kind of rolemodel. But aside from the callout and Jujube, and Pandora the season is unmemorable.
S3: The top three were all highly skilled and the winner seemed to deserve it though that was later put into doubt after it came to light that Raja had worked with RuPaul before the show aired, and lets be honest Manilla Luzon was much more talented.
S4: One of the best seasons in drag race history, has the best music video, and Sharron Needles is hands down the most influential and versatile queen in drag race history. The only bad part, aside from the editing against phi phi, is Latrice Royal, who, and I feel this needs to be said, wouldnt have been in the top four had Willam stayed, and certainly wouldnt have made top five if Alaska had been allowed to join, mostly because she kept showing a similar outfit, her not being a particularly good actor, being thrown off really easily, and quickly relying on a shtick.
S5: Good season, but I feel that Roxxxy really did end up in the top three only because Visage and Ru love drama and the Jersey Shore look that was at the time Roxxxy Andrews trademark look, and the Coco Alyssa drama was really dull, neither deserved to be as high as ended up, and ultimately both queens are unmemorable.
S6: Not a bad season but i'm not a fan of Courtney Act or miss Lake, mostly because I think they both get away with looks that really they shouldnt have gotten away with, though arguable so did Bendelacreme. Though it was nice that there wasnt any drama, and Bianca del Rio is really funny.
S7: Ive tried to come up with words to describe this season, I cant, its just that bad. No not bad just dull, really dull and awkward, and the worst part is that its not the queens who drag the season down, the queens themselves are fine and Pearl stands out as being a particularly interresting person when not on drag race, its RuPaul being a tool off camera and coming up with challenges that play to the queens weaknesses rather strengths.
S8: Unfortunately I found Bob the Drag Queen so attractive out of drag that I stopped caring about what he looked like in drag with the end result being that I have no idea if hes a good drag queen. But ignoring the moments where I was drooling over Bob it was a good season with some truly great outfits, and a good Snatch Game, that wether for good or bad did very quickly become the Bob the drag queen and Kim Chi show, making it in hindsight the second most plann
S9: The season started off with an appearance by Lady Gaga , whose reviews of the outfits consisted of little more than name dropping and not much else, unintentionally setting the tone for a dull and awkward season with a cheerleading challenge that causes one person to crack a rib and another to almost permanently lose their ability to dance, a Reality Star Rusical that is well just dull, painfully bad lipsinks, uninterresting outfits, and perhaps the blandest wierd drag queen in the history of the competition. Its also in this season that introduced the lipsink for the crown format that I personally despise as it takes the power away from the viewers and puts it back in Rupauls hand.
S10: Solid season, mostly focused on returning contestant Eureka but the other contestants are given enough focus that it feels natural. The challenges are interresting to watch, the snatchgame is funny, and the dresses are well made. The top four are all stars in their right and the winner of that season could have easily been any of them, making this the only season where a lipsink for the crown made sense.
S11: Starts off strong with people like Miss Vanjie, Brooke Lynne Hytes, Nina West and Yvie Oddly revealing a high degree of skill both as actors and as dress makers. Unfortunately the blatant favoritism of Rupaul, the judges, and the producers towards Silky Nutmeg Ganache (honestly they seem like a nice person in real life, but on the show they just seem like a tool), unimaginative challenges, distracting and irritating cameos by former drag race contestants including by Bianca whos dull and unentertaining appearance shows exactly why contestants shouldnt return at all, a rusical so god cringeworthy you'll pray for death (Trump the Rusical), the worst snatch game in drag race history, and painfully predictable twists result in a terrible season, with the only interresting things being the romance between Vanjie and Brooke (they broke up four months after the last episode before the reunion due to conflicting schedules), Miss Vanjie being well himself, Nina Wests acting, and Yvie Oddly's outfits .
S12: Havent seen it, but lets be honest this season is the one where the star is a sex offender. By now many fans have analysed the season and its become clear that the person who was intended to be the focal point and possible winner was Sherry Pie, which means that editing them out for very well known reasons also makes them the focal point just in a different way than intended. Hell it wouldnt surprise me if this season becomes known as the one with Sherry Pie, not the one where the winner won. Though it might also be the last season that RuPauls on, as there are rumors that hes stopping with drag race.
The Christmass Special: To short for a christmass special, to much like the other episodes to be special, to blatantly commercial to be Christmass, and to scripted, even by drag race standards, to be drag race.
And now for a review of the Judges themselves
RuPaul: On the outside a warm, outspoken, well meaning person whose done things which are truly groundbreaking. But beneath that warm exterior beats the stone cold heart of a businessman. He's calculating, manipulative, greedy, has no qualms about setting queens up for failure, and ultimately hasnt done much that could be seen as groundbreaking. Perhaps the worst part is that its clear that in terms of humor , mentality and fashion hes never left the 70s, which combined with his callous way of treating the enviroment (as shown by his fracking empire) and his history of transpobia, makes him a liability to the show. Even if you manage to ignore all of that, the show is ultimately about the drag queens, not about Rupaul, and Rupauls attemps to make it about him really drag the show down
Michelle Visage: Shes a mother of two teenagers with a stay at home husband pretending to be a bitchy whore on a tv show about drag queens, yeah thats her career. Now in truth thats not the biggest issue, the biggest issue is that shes got hangups and makes the same jokes over over again and that after being on the show for ten years she hasnt developed as a judge so the routine, to paphrase miss Visage herself, has been done to death. In truth the show needs something other than the same damn shtick and same damn comments all the time, and if she cant do it then she should quite so someone else can do it for her. Ok maybe thats the second biggest issue, the biggest is that she kisses RuPaul's ass untill it shines brighter than a mirror.
Valentino Rice: Good judge, and had great chemistry with the other judges.
Ross Mathews: Cute guy, wierdly charming, and interacts well with the others.
Carson Kressley: He comes across as a very tired, very frail, very gay but very very very dull ninety year old man, which makes sense given the fact that his entire career is based on being gay, and hes, well old. Ok hes not really old, hes 50, but on camera he looks and acts closer to 150. And the issue isnt that hes gay, its that hes doing a shtick, a very dull and fairly offensive shtick. Possibly the worst choice for a judge, and the show jumps in quality whenever hes not there.
Now for a few things that just bug me.
Favoritism: Unfortunately one of the biggest issues of the show is that seasons tend to be structured around Queens who are intended to be the winner, or at least the hero, from the get go, which has the advantage of allowing the creators of the show to change the structure and challenges from season to season, but also makes it hard to watch if the season is blatant in its favoritism, if the intended winner isnt that good, or if the winner gets eliminated for one reason or another.
Cameos by former contestants: Cameos are a great way to get people to say "I know that person" which is great in a tv show because you know that the cast wont change in the next episode, but not great in a competition where all it does is take away screentime from competitors and giving it to competitors who most likely did not do well enough to win in their own drag race, and even if they did, the show is not about them, but about the current contestants. As such if Ru wants them to return he should put them in All Stars.
Cameos by celebrities: Add nothing. Its drag race not the red carpet, i'm watching for the up and coming drag queens not famous people trying to boost their careers.
Adding politics to the show: No, just no. Dont do things like Trump the Rusical, dont have steven colbert do a voiceover, theres no way that can go well and it comes accross as virtue signaling. If Ru wants to do something good he should double the prize money and have half of the money go to a charity of the winners choosing, or stop fracking.
Adding politics outside of the Show: Drag queens are celebrities and entertainers, as such are constantly in the public eye and dependent on being in it for their income which means that anything they say in public, wether its gossiping, or discussing politics, needs to be viewed as being some form of self promotion. Now this might make things difficult for them, but it is a well known part of being an entertainer so it can be assumed that they were well aware of this before they joined Drag Race. If they do want to talk about politics without being viewed as self promoting, they are free to make an anonymous account on one of the many sites, like tumblr, where its assumed that no one knows who the other people are.
Family Friendly Drag: Lets be honest its men shoving their cocks up their own asses while dressing up as women, and naking refferences to sex, for the sake of entertainment. Thers nothing family friendly about it. Nor should there be as part of the appeal of drag is that its something that is restricted to adults. Likewise they arent heroes, they are entertainers, not doctors, not construction workers, entertainers no more worthy of praise then a person on a sitcom.
Drama outside of Drag Race: While drama on the show is to be expected and is part of what makes it entertaining, drama outside of the show is different its more personal and something that in truth should not be shared. However by presenting it as gossip on various shows they are saying its part of the show, which is unhealthy at best.
Final note.
While I am critising the Drag Race, I am not doing it because I dislike the show, I am infact a big fan of the show but at the same time I want to get my thoughts out there see how others view these topics.

strawberry shortcake s2 ep1 - horse of a different color
this one was suggested by someone who couldnt keep their mouth shut and not sing the strawberry shortcake intro theme in the middle of our economy class
no one wanted to hear that, but they went ahead and then i actually followed up on that train of thoughts i remembered about the fucking cartoons and i knew it pronto: its a must-see shit its like slightly above the level of magical school bus series, but the final rating is for the fin not the beginning so lets begin this horseshit:
were reviewing “horse of a different color”, it focuses indeed on strawberrys horse, honey pie pony (its her entire damn name, how sweet right? like all of them, i got diabete from this review but its the cost of maintaining this blog anyway, the kids are playing together on a that tree having fun jumping around like chimpanzees hooba hooba but sadly our filly quickly realizes she cant play king kong with them and keep falling on her ass,
yet since theyre all retarded or young (id say its a fifty-fifty case for them kinda normal ig, i mean they ARE literal 6yo) they try several ways of getting her up on that tree, not thinking how to get her down if they ever were to succeed (good for them: aint happening) its child labor too btw, from an horse still same deal what if honey pie fell down on them? crushing them corpses with her mighty pounds? the findus company would be delighted to hear such news, im sure its some quality (sweet ass) horse meat
once it all fails she understands a horse isnt meant to climb a tree, too big too fat its four legged, not even entertaining the relationship giraffes have with trees
but it aint over, then (after a talk with herself) hp hears the laughters of a bunch of kids which catches her attention, it always does who can ignore that sorta noise? although she aint annoyed by it shes just into the idea of riding a bike now, shes even gonna get a go at it oh yea thats it we finally found her human hobby gogdamn shes a backward furry
of course it fails aswell since she has no hand for the handle and shes heavy so i guess its the reason why she rides into w/e and cant stop? because otherwise she couldve also just.. actually it makes no sense does it? i mean she couldve easily stopped the ride actually how is that kid bike even holding her? ive never tried putting a pony on a bike for 6 y/o but i doubt about its capacity in not being crushed aswell as i doubt in the kids bones not being severely damaged after a visit under honey pies horsy buttcheeks
but all of that really makes her sad: she cant play with her human friends and shes the only horse around strawberry land or whatever see me tearing it for her, theres so much emotions in this episode especially after that filly trynna get kids to get into some horseplay horseshit like dude theyre only 6, lets go easy on them, might have a problem with the parents of the kids watching this episode no one even thought how fucked up this one part is? sure horseplay isnt only sexual or w/e but it still is the visual of 6yos on all four jumping around and neighing together with their ass a little bit too exposed wow im going on a dangerous road here? aint i? not gonna sue the writers im sure it was their subconscious speaking probably got issues from their childhood, eventually got them sorted out since 2004 what do i know? aside from me not caring
back on track : after seeing horsey being so sad the kiddos decide to get her a horse friend but where the fuck? they got no idea, they are proud nonetheless and go tell honey the good new until they are like “wait but we have no idea where to find horses!” ofc we get a big reveal, some serious strawberry shortcake lore: actually all the horses, ALL OF THEM FROM THE ENTIRE FUCKING PLANET are on one (1) single island: ice cream themed to diversify it all they are just chilling over there in ponyland and for some reason this one here got lost or idk guys she took the boat and checked the rest of the world out as an even younger filly, found strawberry and her friends and decided now she was a centaur slash humanrry furry human, idk you get it but shes their friend and so on to introduce the concept of an AWESOME island full of equestrian activity and ofc ice cream but its kinda lame because who cares? everythings already made out of food, also why isnt the ice cream melting? its one water? nevermind for the introduction as i was saying, hp sings an horrendous sounding song it deteriorated my ear drums they got pierced or something or maybe im exagerrating? either case horses cant sing:
so to the ice cream land they go, huh
of course it wouldnt be a big adventure without an almost broken bridge oh no whatever shall we do? could we possibly cross it safely? lets try it out guys: yay it worked good for us little stress and suspense it was wack how they got honey pie out of the hole her big ass hoove made im mesmerized by the power of friendship and sugar at this point, just in full awe for the rest of the episode probably over dosed on all the ice cream flavoured horseshit, i got some all over my mouth its dripping on my desk i gotta clean that later
next thing we know: horses its all this episode is about (aside from labor) but you see, so far hp would switch between normal human language and neighing well turns out her other fellow equines can only neigh and so they just neigh together while our english well-spoken mammal translates to the moronic kids who just smile smuggly
of course the animals are having a welcome party then, dancing around while the morons are just bored, harsh one being a cartoon character isnt it guys? w/e theyre gonna ask for honey pie to come back home now, convinced that her natural habit isnt her place and she loves them too much to just leave them and never come back and break any plans they ever had together- oh shit looks like shes leaving forever huh? what a plot twist mark that on the bitch quota for today
the first one to leave is the little boy btw, important thing to note: hes the biggest pussy he cant even face reality: oh no, no more pony back time before sleep thats quite a bummer, downer and man how are they going to survive now they got no animal to watch over them? jesus theyre soon, on the boat (idk where they got it from idk why suddenly theyre on a boat because then theyre once again gonna cross that bridge but ok) anyway yea theyre having a relationship crisis during that ship trip yada yada ah and the bridge, because (see i do not call them morons for now reasons obviously they deserve this title not only because theyre 6 but also because they are just daft:) they proceed, once in the middle of the bridge all 4 of them, to stop and wonder
“will the bridge be able to hold all of us? wont it break? damn i wonder if it will crack” and they talks without moving until vlam: a tree comes and breaks it (dont ask) so now theyre in trouble:
back to ponyland: bitch pie realizes how much she misses her actual friends and that she can speak english which her other horse friends cant do so she is special and probably abnormal, shes a big outcat of the pony society and has no other reason but to escape her incoming death sentence for fraternizing with the humans of course none of the second part is true, she just wants to see the kids again so she says asta la vista baby to the neigher team and runs away see, she hasnt taken the boat and yet also arrive to the bridge? why a boat sequence then? i will skip this for now but it WILL play in the rating, imagine im the parent of the youngster watching this crap and i have to endure it
if it sucks this bad and is this illogical i might just get bored and change the channel, idc my progeny aint gonna be watching this in either case, ill make them watch political debates then interrogate them on what they learned after what but it wasnt actual political debates just random furry youtuber venting with their fursona sprites animated and thats how you make your kids retarded, the kick of this joke is that i aint planning on getting any kids but totally gonna make them watch classics too such as the attack of the killer donuts as soon as they reach 6 so they wont be dumb and probably not getting diabete or w/e in their adulthood
then honey pie saves the kids btw all of them, heavy shit
and they all go back to strawberryland, happily after a big “wow i missed you sm, you are my real friends w/e if you dont look like me i aint speciest guys really!” theyre all vegan too btw so this works for them i havent watched enough strawberry shortcake episodes to know if they ever eat meat but i have doubts seeing how theyre into a very cannibalistic diet which include eating dessert when obviously thats what they are at least half part, this cartoon raises a lot of political questions it may have a deeper value than i first attributed to it
the end: another terrible song plays about horseshit and how tasty it is
thats all folks
so the rating: big 6/10, so you know 5/10 if its a decent kid show where im highly eager to click on the x and get back making jams but nah
surprisingly enough, i only wanted to stop watching half of the episode and not the entirity of it so credits for thats since im an adult and not a kid, imagining kids enjoyed this sweet childish cartooness or w/e now why +1? its because of how many political questions it raised, how it made me think about our society and cakes yknow its more than kids having a conflict with an horse it talks about veganism, specism, handicap, cannibalism, the management of the limited ressources were exploiting and so on yea really makes you think, its subliminal messages to make kids smarter: they watch their dessert-imbecile counterparts doing bs and then get it right irl: good ah- it also makes it better for you when youre watching this with your kid, you suddenly transcend to another level of spirituality, existential crisis activated or at least reasoning mode or w/e youre willing to name this the point is you arent bored still despite all of this i rated it quite low for such a serious kid cartoon what couldve possibly made me tic? 1) kids are morons and cant understand all of this, not clear enough for the targeted public 2) projection onto the characters/dialogues from the writers of their childhood traumas (the horse play event didnt go unnoticed, karren brown) 3) my little pony ripoff 4) its controversial, our society, especially in 2004 couldnt understand the depth of this shit and finally 5) i got so much ice cream flavoured horseshit all over my desk god help me this is so filthy what a fucking mess i would totally recommand it to anyone who feels like being blown away by the statements made in this work of art 6/10 but really we all know in the future, itll be a 9/10, some ahead-of-its-time-crap

can u explain what the yongguk situation is? i don't understand it at all and i've read a bunch of threads/posts :(((
ok so if people dont know who yongguk is: yongguk was on produce 101 s2 and he didnt get to debut in wanna one. but he was loved by fans and due to fan demands he debuted in group called jbj with other 5 guys. before that he debuted in unit called “longguo&shihyun” (longguo is his chinese name) and now he debuted solo.
few days ago it started with dating rumor but frankly no one cared about that because worse shit got revealed. like his private instagram and situation with his cat lucy (rcy).
i wont talk about his dating rumors bc … lmao its quite obvious, even if he dated who cares?
ill start with lucy situation because its more complex, messy and disgusting.
it started because fans found rcy at shelters multiple times, contacted choon ent (yongguks agency) and yet they received no info.
rcy was yongguks first cat and she was adopted. then yongguk adopted tolby and kagu. choon ent said rcy and kagu couldn’t get together and rcy had many scars so yongguk decided to give her away to new owner (which is quite dumb because??? lucy is ur first cat???). choon ent said they couldnt contact the owner until september 25th and now rcy’s under the protection of another shelter now.
this is a whole different story now, since yongguk said rcy is with him now.
choon didnt specific when they gave rcy away, but she was seen on a shelter’s website stated as a STRAY CAT on july 27th. meaning she wasnt with yongguk since july.
even if lucy wasnt yongguks cat anymore, he still included her in the photocards, albums and photobooks. in september/october, another shelter started posting photos of rcy, where they said they (unknowingly) neutered her again, which left her with a stamp on her ear (shelters do this to differentiate neutered cats to unneutered cats).
fans started to notify choon ent about it and finally, choon ent took lucy back during chuseok. but everytime they posted pic of lucy, they cropped her ears so the stamp wont be seen. yongguk sent a flower wreath to jbj95’s showcase on the behalf of tolbi, rcy, kaguunlike how he completely forgot about rcy during fansigns.
fans revealed info about how yongguk didnt really took care of his cats.
tolbi and rcy were taken care by a house keeper, and then shihyun took care of tolbi and rcy during produce 101. during jbj he brought cats to the dorm, knowing some members (taehyun and sanggyun) have allergy and he never took care of them to the point hyunbin had to sleep with mask on and finally decided to take care of cats himself.
even jbj members talked about how yongguk NEVER groomed his cats and that they shed fur everywhere. and while many fans (including me) laughed at how lucy and tolbi are more attached to hyunbin rather than yongguk, it finally made sense. hyunbin was the one taking care of cats and yongguk used them just as his >concept
luckily the new owner of lucy posted and said lucy is safe with them. probably choon ent gave her away again.
instagram stuff
yongguk has private instagram and its so messy lmao. fans should stop saying ‘’its not his account!!’’ because yongguk confirmed its his…….
he posted pic of signing jbj album (true colors) with caption that can mean ‘delusionals’ (x)
posted a script from jbj uniform king with the caption “who wants it???” and then comment saying “i definitely wont do it” when the script mentioned jbj coming back @ season 2. uniform king was filmed long before jbjs disbandment. (x)
other said he posted pics of himself drinking or doing drugs but i didnt find the screencaps so im not sure. just throwing it here tho.
other gross behavior
throwing away fan gifts (x) (x) (x)
fansign fanacc that said ‘’doing a fansign for 100 is urgh and everybody is like the mother in law that keeps on bitching’’ (i saw translations that went ‘’grandmother’’ too) (x)
yongguk didnt attend jbj amigo filming and fans were worried, but it was revealed he drank too much with his ex girlfriend
shot hyunbins life-size banner/standee (x). hyunbin was sad he couldnt take a pic of the banner because yongguk has been using hyunbins face as a shooting target. fans picked it up near jbjs dorm.
during fantasy era he threw out the cat stickers his fan created for him (x)
yongguks relative missed him so much they came to fansign venue just to see him but yongguk didnt even bother to show his face and threw sanggyuns banner instead. (x)
during a fansign he called a fan ‘noona’ because according to him she looks 33 (x)
drank underage and was a frequent visitor of sexist club (x) (x) (some people dont see drinking underage as a problem but .. just throwing it here because still, it is pretty controversional for some)
based on his ex-girlfriend’s instagram, they were together till late on the 3rd of march, but on the 4th he tweeted that he couldnt celebrate hyunbin’s birthday because he had been too sick to move away from his bed (x)
this???? (x)
his cursing while playing overwatch (x) (again, some ppl dont find it controversional but … just throwing it here because k-joyfuls frequently mention it)
when leaving the show, yongguk and his manager pretended like they were going one way and then suddenly did an ILLEGAL u-turn, shocking all fans there to see yongguk for less than 10 seconds. yongguk and his manager were seen laughing after doing the u-turn (x)
misogynist yongguk (x)
misogynist yongguk: more explanation (please remember suckjin is his overwatch / game ID) (x) (x) (x)
i think i mentioned everything. obviously k-joyfuls post more info but its not translated. if you want to read more then type 김용국 @ twitter. im truly disappointed because i was (and still am) a joyful so its like .. a stab to the heart ?
