the funny thing about stranger things season one is that they really build up the idea that steve harrington is a POPULAR JOCK which means that he's a SELFISH DOUCHEBAG BULLY who's USING nancy for SEX and DOESNT CARE that people are DYING and then steve actually shows up and hes just like a regular guy

#i don't understand why he was supposedly The Worst i genuinely dont #steve harrington #stranger things #he had like 3 major douchebag moments and the first one was honestly understandable #(breaking jonathans camera like sure it was a dick move but also he was taking pictures of his girlfriend changing without her consent)#and then with the other two (not stopping his friends from doing cruel graffiti and then being a major asshole to jonathan to pick a fight)#he took like 20 minutes to calm down after the fight and then unprompted was like hey that was kind of shitty of me actually #and then cut off his toxic friends so he could go fix things and apologize #also i may be misremembering but the thing he was mad about wasnt even resolved??#it wasnt a 'wow ive been a total dick for no reason' kind of realization #he just went like yeah maybe he cheated with my girlfriend but what i said went too far :/
