remember when comic books told stories about heros helping people and fighting bad guys but apparently that wasnt “realistic” so its all about heros hurting each other and being corrupted instead
#shut up moth#this is about the latest batman arc#the first time nighwing showed up in comics it was because dick grayson had grown out of robin and wanted to be independent#it was a fairly peaceful transition#but a writer decided that wasn’t exciting enough#it was ret-conned into a huge fight between Dick and Bruce#in the animated series tim almost killed batman during the joker jr thing#but he didnt because he still cared for batman#honestly i dont think that would happen nowadays in favor of shock value and grimdark storytelling#sorry i just have feelings about this#sometimes i’ll see old comic panels and go ‘how did we get here’
