okay sometimes i see people talking about alastor's vocabulary as if he's remarkably verbose or witty compared to the other characters but i have to confess. i really didn't register it as unusual because that is also just how i talk on a regular basis

Do you ever think about how there totally could have been an old classmate of Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth in the audience during like turnabout sister or turnabout samurai. Do you think they would realize? Like “hey, were those the guys in my class in like fourth grade? I kinda remember them. Wonder if they remember each other. But it was so long ago, I doubt they would even care.” Meanwhile Edgeworth and Phoenix are undergoing the most insane mental battles where both of them are going “I recognize my best friend across the courtroom and I desperately want to be close with them again.” And “god he is so god damn annoying I wish he would die already.”

despite whatever the fuck is happening with me now there were several years where i didn't watch/read any animanga at all. and while i genuinely believe i was put on this earth to judge people's boyfriend's taste in shounen i was at this party in college once (during said anime dry period) where someone in passing said they couldn't stand girly shoujo like inuyasha and i was like "ok putting aside the misogyny wtf are you talking about" and he said "you know inuyasha" and i was like "yeah i know inuyasha i had a heart n soul in the 7th grade. that's shounen" and he said "no it's not it's like a romance" and i go "well yeah. i know these classifications get really arbitrary im just saying it's technically listed as shounen" and he's like "kagome." and im "just bc the pov character is a girl doesn't mean it doesn't follow shounen structure/conventions" and he goes "well were there iconic fights" and im like "YES! what the fuck are you talking about fr it was serialized in shounen sunday" and he goes "what's shounen sunday" and that's when i was like i think we should stop talking for a while

Anyways, I love that Ponyboy has nice cursive. It’s still a bit awkward but it’s legible.

It’s also an interesting show of his place in education compared to the rest of the gang, the only two who placed a real emphasis on it were him, Darry and Steve (to a lesser extent). Back in the day cursive was the sort of “mandatory” handwriting in school, signing checks and documents and generally everyday life. It’d make sense for him to have nice neat cursive where as Soda and Dally might have something more simplistic but equally neat.
