At this rate I'm just waiting for the Casualty/Emmerdale crossover episode where it is revealed Robert got off innocent as they found oddities in his case and evidence for Luke killing his brother instead. Before he was released though he got cocky with other inmates and they battered his head in leaving him with a brain injury causing him to lose his memory. He came back round in the hospital thinking he worked there. Siobhan is friends with Lee and Luke's mother (I've completely forgotten her name but who can blame me) hence why she's pissed. Plus, Barney Walsh had relations with Robert before he met Aaron (like Daniel from corrie) which is why Robert remembers him.
Sneak peek - scene 2…

Emmerdale newcomer Alexander Lincoln reveals all on playing Kim Tate's son Jamie
He'll be hitting our screens soon.
Emmerdale brings back Kim Tate's estranged son Jamie in a few weeks' time – and new cast member Alexander Lincoln has shared some early gossip with Digital Spy.
We were invited to an Emmerdale press event on the show's set in Leeds this week, where Alexander gave his first interview about taking over the role of Jamie.
Last seen as a toddler in Kim's exit episode in 1999, Jamie heads back to the village to take on a job at the local vets. He has no idea that Kim is out of prison, leading to an unhappy reunion for mother and son.
Here, Alexander reveals more about what we can expect.
What can you tell us about Jamie?
"Jamie is currently in his last year of vets school and he is estranged from his mum. He is more innocent and naive than Kim, and he doesn't want anything to do with her at first. You'll see that he stands his ground with Kim."
Is Jamie aware of the extent of Kim's evil ways?
"I don't think all of it, no, but he knows bits and pieces. Jamie knows how she manipulates things, but he hasn't been in the village and doesn't know everything that's been going on."
So why does he come back to the village?
"It's for the job at the vets he's been offered. At this point he thinks Kim is still in prison, but then finds out that she's not! Jamie is very easily manipulated by her, so he is brought back into the fold even though he doesn't want to be. She is his mum – and even when you're estranged from someone, you still want to have that relationship."
"No. Jamie sees Graham as an extension of Kim. As far as Jamie is concerned, Graham is just a paid-for butler. There is no real relationship there and no love lost."
Is Jamie single?
"He is. At this point, you will have to wait and see whether he gets a love interest. A couple of ladies take a shine to him. But Jamie is not in that mindset when he arrives – he's just trying to focus on working at the vets and winning people over. He's not thinking about getting involved with someone."
How does Jamie react when he first sees that Kim is around?
"Jamie is shocked. He doesn't expect to see Kim at all, as he thinks she's still in prison. Under the circumstances, it's pure shock and a bit of frustration as he wanted to start a new life. Admittedly that was back in the village, but he wanted to stay away from Kim's ways."
Is Jamie aware of the Tate family's legacy in the village?
"He's aware. It's hard to be in that village and not be! With Graham looking after him, they've had conversations and he knows little bits about it. He doesn't know the full extent, but he knows a bit about the legacy. Jamie doesn't like it because he's very different. He wants to distance himself entirely from the Tate name."
Which characters will Jamie be involved with?
"For the moment it's just at the vets generally and then trying to win everyone over. James comes into the lives of everyone, but at the moment it's just the vets really."
Does Jamie have to defend himself and insist he's nothing like his mum?
"Essentially yes – that's the one line I've said quite a few times! It's just about Jamie trying to distance himself from Kim. He doesn't want to be anything like her, he isn't anything like her and he wants everyone to know that."
Could he have the potential to be like her, though?
"Maybe, who knows? Maybe he'll go to prison at some point! That would be a little holiday! (Laughs.) I think with your parents, there's always certain character traits that you're going to come back to eventually. Whether he knows it or not, maybe he is manipulative in his own way, but it doesn't shine through."
Fans have been speculating about a possible romance for James and Debbie Dingle…
"So far as I know, there's nothing yet. I think it'd be interesting for Jamie. It will be interesting to see what route Jamie takes with relationships. I'm really clueless at the moment, so we'll have to see."
Does Jamie feel like the village is familiar?
"I wouldn't imagine he sees it as home, but he remembers snippets. I think it was just that the job vacancy came up and he saw an opportunity and wanted to go. He thought Kim was in prison so it seemed like a great opportunity, but then it turns out differently than he was expecting."
How has it been having Claire King to guide you through?
"Claire is lovely and the Emmerdale team are so wonderful. It's such a welcoming environment to come into. I was told at my induction that everyone is really nice and I was like: 'Everyone says that!' But genuinely, everyone is so lovely.
"To come into the family, you're welcomed straight away and Claire has been a massive help, holding my hand the whole way through."
Did you watch the show before?
"Yeah I did. I watched bits and pieces – obviously I knew of Kim and various other characters."
Are you pleased to be billed as the new village hunk?
"I didn't know I would be! (Laughs.) I didn't even know that was a possibility. But it's great. I'll take it, that's fine, absolutely! I've got a lot to live up to I think, but it's a great feeling."
What were you doing before Emmerdale?
"I've done a couple of feature films. At the time of auditioning for this, I was filming an LGBT rugby film.
"I got the call back for Emmerdale and I had been filming until 1am the night before, so I was knackered. I was like: 'Oh, I'm out of my depth already!' I didn't know my lines at all, I had my script with me and I was sweating away, nervous. I owe it to Claire for walking me through and [Emmerdale director] Tim O'Mara, who directed the audition scene.
"So prior to Emmerdale, I'd done a couple of feature films, one being a coming of age drama set in the Cotswolds where I played a bully, which was really fun, and then this LGBT rugby film which was great fun to do too."
Do you have any actors in the family?
"No, we're all attention seekers but no-one thought to do it as a career really! I only fell into it because we started a film company and then they wanted a free actor. I said I'd do it for free and then it went from there. Everyone's quite creative in our family, but no-one's in the acting game."
How long have you had to keep the Emmerdale role a secret?
"About a month and a half. I wanted to tell everyone, but I couldn't. Best friends and family was basically it, but now it's all out there."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.

this is gonna be a ballsy post, but.....ya’ll are used to me by now.
So...just as a disclaimer i ABSOLUTELY believe all will work out, everything will come full circle and they’ll get married. with THAT being said...
Aaron: I’ve recently had an epiphany, that it’s not Robert that Aaron doesn’t trust, it’s happiness itself. Maybe at first his mistrust was directly connected to Robert, but over the past few months, he has actually realized that Robert isn’t lying to him, as he said to Chas last night. Now, I think it’s actually about whether or not happiness for HIMSELF can actually last.
We all know the affects of Gordon. That is basically, an in your face, neon sign about Aaron’s insecurities. But let’s take a look at something a bit more subtle. I’ve always believed that Aaron’s argument with Jackson BEFORE the crash added to Aaron’s feelings of insecurity. Jackson told Aaron that he wanted him to be honest, that by being honest he wouldn’t lose him. So, Aaron bore his soul, told Jackson how he felt, that he didn’t know if he could ever love someone because of all he’d been though. That he didn’t understand love so he didn’t have anything to compare it to, so how could he know if he felt it. And he didn’t believe anyone would ever love someone like him. Well, Jackson couldn’t handle truth and walked away leaving Aaron yelling “But you have me, you still have ME!”.
In that moment, Aaron internalized that HE wasn’t enough. And when Jackson was paralyzed and seeking to end his life, Aaron begged him to stay with him, to live, Jackson just couldn’t. I am NOT in anyway delving into Jackson’s mental state at that moment, i am just talking about Aaron’s mindset here. At that point Aaron must have felt abandoned AGAIN by someone he loved, that HE wasn’t enough for someone to stick around for. So for Aaron...happiness is just something that just doesn’t last for him. It’s something that he feels he has no right to or that he doesn’t deserve or that he simply doesn’t know now to accept as real or truth.
Currently, I honestly believe that Aaron’s insecurities at this point have nothing to do with thinking Robert will stray. Or that Robert will cheat. I think it’s about Aaron not believing happiness is something he gets to hang onto. That eventually Robert may think he’s not enough to stick around for not realizing that he is self-sabotaging the very happiness he so desperately wants to have. Aaron has always been the type waiting for that other shoe to drop.
He knows that Rebecca isn’t a threat in a “Rob’s going to leave me for her” type of scenario. She is just a walking, breathing, living reminder of his insecurities. Every time he sees her, she’s a reminder of what he thinks he’s not. Confident, open, free spirited, business minded, etc.. All the things Robert is and Aaron thinks Robert wants/needs. If Rebecca was actually a male gay/bisexual character, I believe Aaron would feel the EXACT same way. This situation is no longer about Robert. It’s about Aaron and what all his internal dialogue is doing to him. He is trying SO hard to portray a “no big deal” attitude in order to prove to himself, Robert and Chas that he’s okay. But this mixed message he’s sending out to Robert are going to backfire.
He lied about a trip to Manchester, then had to quickly book it in secret because he didn’t want Robert going on an overnight biz trip with Rebecca. That is the behavior of a desperately insecure person. It saddens me that his insecurities have turned him into a deceitful person taking desperate actions.
I don’t have much faith in Emmerdale delving into the deepness of Aaron’s issues. They seem to only focus on them in order to push a story line, but never really trying to get to the root of it all and trying to get him some help. Aaron should be seeing his counselor, but again, I don’t have much faith in Emmerdale.
Robert: At the moment, Robert is proceeding under the assumption that Aaron is slightly uncomfortable with his interactions with Rebecca, however, not to the degree that everyone seems to assume he knows. Last Robert knew, Aaron and Rebecca had a talk and all was well. Aaron even encouraged Robert to have drinks with Rebecca. All was well, until Moira opened her mouth. Twice Aaron told Robert to go and do his thing regarding Rebecca. I can GUARANTEE that if Robert knew the depth to Aaron’s pain and insecurity, Robert would spend money to put Rebecca back on that helicopter she flew in on and straight back to where she came from. He’s burn the village down to protect Aaron. So the fact that he is going along his merry little way is because he honestly doesn’t know the dept of what Aaron is feeling because he continue to get mixed messages.
I ADORE Robert, I am a professed #Sugdenite, however, I love him enough to say he was a complete ASSHOLE in the past. But that was the past and for the last 8 months he’s been all about making Aaron happy and creating a life for their little family. EVERYTHING he does is for their future and their happiness. Robert tends to have tunnel vision when he’s focused on a something especially when that something matters to him and his, Aaron’s and Liv’s future is what is driving him full force right now. So no, he is not aware that the mixed messages are a sign of something deeper. However....that seems to be coming.
DISCLAIMER....THOSE OF YOU OF WEAK CONSTITUTIONS, WALK AWAY NOW....I’M GOING DARK.
I have been of a belief that Robert has a breaking point. Any normal person will get tired and frustrated of being accused over and over and over again of doing something that they are NOT doing, constantly NOT being given the benefit of the doubt after doing SO much to show how committed they are. I would. I would get fed up and annoyed and frustrated.
It seems, so does Rob in Week 3 when Aaron shows up at HF and Roberts lays into him about his jealousy. Is Rob in the wrong about lying as to where he is? Yes, but I am just guessing he is a person who is tired of hearing the attitude about his business dealings with Rebecca (which is actually his repayment for her getting him hard to get tickets for Aaron’s surprise). I think the argument ensues is what has Aaron keyed up (among high emotions about the anniversary of his abuse reveal to Robert) and THAT’S why he’s quick to violence when he gets caught in the middle of the Fasim shoving match. Maybe one of them says something that triggers Aaron and he loses it.
I tend to pay close attention to words used and foretelling. And on Aaron’s bday when Rob said “I can’t keep doing this” and “This is never going to work if you don’t trust me” was VERY telling. I honestly think, Robert is going to ask for some time apart. I think he’s going to tell Aaron that maybe it’s best that they call off the engagement. I think he may feel Aaron needs time to really think about whether he can be with Robert or marry him if he doesn’t trust him. He may encourage Aaron that it’s best they take some time for Aaron to really think things over.
I also believe that when it all goes down with Fasim, Kasim calls the cops on Aaron, it’s during this “we need a break” talk with Robert that the cops come and arrest him for the assault.
I think at THAT point, Robert realizes just how much and how deeply Aaron’s issues go and it reminds him of how much Aaron needs him to be there for him and how short and fragile life is (remembering almost losing him in October) that it reaffirms that they belong together and he decides a date for the wedding needs to be set because they are in it for the long haul, they are in it for “messed up forever” and he’s not abandoning the love of his life for anything or anyone.
So yeah....this was a REALLY long one. but ever since the birthday episode, this has been on my mind. again, I do believe Robert suggests they take a break, but I also believe it’ll come full circle and work out in the end.
Thanks for reading this LONG ASS post.
