yeah as someone who's read homestuck I can assure everyone it's not a homestuck ripoff in the slightest
#it borrows some vibe/voice and scifi elements#but literally what#literally WHAT fictional fantasy hasn't#and that's something homestuck teaches you#the alchemy of ideas into something new#that's storytelling and influence baby#it's all chemistry you can't create a brand new element out of thin air#homestuck showed us some good tools and the pupils should use them#but anyways despite my rambling#it takes a trained homestuck eye to even notice the influences#and a lot of them are just things that have already been used in storytelling in different way or scream to be used - you just need the key#like dream bubbles allowing the interaction with dead characters and memories#sometimes there's a lot more to be dug from a grave#it is absolutely not ripping off#homestuck is video games and internet weirdos and creating universes#tlt is death magic and grief politics and relationship mysteries#idk#i could go on and on about the similarities between hs and tlt#but they are still vastly different identities

Your facial anatomy can sometimes be a bit off, giving an uncanny feel, maybe its something to work on? Or style experimemting. It's not your fault if you don't get many likes though, you just have to reel yourself in sometimes and remember you draw for yourself, otherwise you'd be riding the trends on this site. But if you want to be noticed, I might suggest following the new Homestuck upd8s. There will be one next month and you can try ride the trending tag then. Best of luck☆
Hahaha! Yes! I see what you mean. It's hard for me to adjust to the anime style (big eyes, few facial features, disappearing nose and lips, my style goes to the more realistic side and when I try to mix it with anime/manga to make it "cute" it comes out a terrifying thing, haha!), it's a struggle I've had since forever, because I've been very influenced by manga, so I'm taking up again the study of anatomy and other artists to improve that point. I might be able to get away from anime a little bit in general. I'll see.
And I remember well that I draw for myself, but I've been drawing for myself for many years now, haha! Not that I mind. But this is supposed to be a community, the fandom, I mean, and I don't have any friends or people to even talk to. It's my fault too, but that's why I was asking for suggestions.
But maybe I'll just disassociate myself from fandom in general for the moment? And train my art instead, as you can see, I need it, haha!
