ok after getting into one piece following the live action i have a couple of thoughts :

1. Thinking of OPLA as an adaptation of the series - following the core themes and main story despite differences (whether major or cosmetic) to the characters and plot… it’s not too bad . I hadn’t seen the series prior to watching it and I was hooked and it felt like the final kick in the ass to read the manga after being told for years by friends how great the series was . I think it told the east blue saga in a rather clear, condensed sense that gave you a feel for how the series would play out AS WELL (and this is important) as telling a fulfilling story that could survive if the series was not renewed for a second season- which I think is a major obstacle that is presented during conception.

2. Why did they straight bait the two gayest straw hats

#anyways . I will watch s2 and I’m excited bc alabasta is rly where it comes into its own as an adventure series. very clear that east blue #is about luffy assembling his crew with arlong park as a rly good hook to keep watching and once they hit the grand line #it rly rly hits its stride . I think s2 can do very well.#anyways.#about point 2 I was watching the LA and I was watching a couple Nami and zoro scenes like is this real? are they trying to imply anything #or am I crazy . and turns out Girl . never in a million years #also im slightly tipsy typing this out so if I delete it it’s because I don’t want anyone to know what I’m thinking #thank You.
