thomastair week day 5 - alternate universe (@youngreckless)

i drew something to do w this months ago LOL

- thomas is the son of the taoiseach of ireland. alastair is in line for the british throne. 

- thomas despises alastair after a not so perfect first encounter at a sporting event

- thomas thinks alastair is incredibly gorgeous but hes fooling himself into beliving the hate is stronger than the adoration. 

- the merry thieves met thomas when he attended boarding school in england, they’re all lowkey anti-monarchists and hate alastair bc they assume hes a typical royal

- a dilemma arises when james finds himself smitten with the royal highness’s younger sister, the princess cordelia. 

- she introduces TMT to her brother and it doesnt exactly go perfect, no matter how much they adore cordelia after realizing shes really not stuck up

- this creates a problem when thomas drinks a little too much at the royal jordelia wedding, where a rivalry is cemented and a very expensive cake is destroyed. 

- thomas is forced to fake a friendship with the prince to save tensions from rising between ireland and england, and so the reluctant days out and texts begin

- slowly thomas starts to realize who alastair really is, behind the carefully crafted royal persona, and begins to genuinely like,,, and maybe even more than like him

- now all thomas has to do is figure out how to break this news to the merry thieves who very much still believe alastair is the stuck up royal theyve always assumed him to be

- meanwhile in the background of all this alastair is dealing with being queer within the monarchy and lamenting over the love that will never go anywhere because in no universe can he imagine being good enough for thomas
