The night was heavy with mist, the damp air clinging to your skin as you stood at the edge of the cliff overlooking the churning ocean below. A faint glow of black fire flickered at your fingertips, refusing to be extinguished no matter how hard you willed it away. It was a cruel reminder of what you were—what you had been made into.

Behind you, footsteps crunched on the gravel. You froze.

“Darling.” His voice, warm and teasing, felt like a lifeline. “You’re not planning on jumping, are you? That’s my thing.”

You turned sharply, the flickering fire flaring in your sudden panic. “Childe—stop! Don’t come any closer.”

His pace faltered for a moment, a flicker of confusion crossing his face. But instead of retreating, he tilted his head, his usual cocky grin softening. “Why not?”

“Because…” You clenched your fists, trying to suppress the blaze. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

There was a moment of silence between you, broken only by the distant roar of the ocean. Then, Childe chuckled, a sound so at odds with your turmoil that it almost made you angry.

“Who said you would?” he asked, taking another step forward.

“Don’t,” you pleaded, stepping back. “You don’t understand. This… this fire—it destroys everything. It was made to destroy Archons. What do you think it could do to you?”

“And what do you think I am?” he shot back, his tone light but his gaze serious. “Do I look like I scare easy? Come on, you’ve seen me fight. You think a little fire is going to keep me away from you?”

“This isn’t a joke, Childe!” Your voice cracked. The fire surged with your rising emotions, casting eerie shadows on the ground.

“I know it’s not,” he said softly, finally stopping in his tracks. “But you’re not a weapon to me. You’re… you. And I trust you.”

His words made your chest ache. How could he not see it? You weren’t a person—you were a creation, a tool forged from Archon residue and black fire. You didn’t deserve his trust, his warmth.

“You shouldn’t,” you whispered, your voice barely audible. “I don’t trust myself.”

“Then let me do it for you.” He took another step, and this time, you didn’t move away. “I know what it’s like to feel like a weapon, to think all you can do is hurt. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that we’re more than what they made us into.”

The fire at your fingertips wavered, flickering like a dying ember. His words struck a chord deep within you, a part of you that had been buried under layers of fear and self-loathing.

“...What if I lose control?” you asked, your voice trembling.

“Then I’ll be here to bring you back,” he said without hesitation, holding out his hand. “But I don’t think you will.”

For the first time, you considered the possibility that he might be right. Slowly, tentatively, you reached out, your fingers brushing against his. The black fire crackled but didn’t lash out. Instead, it dimmed, as though soothed by his presence.

Childe’s smile widened, his grip firm as he pulled you closer. “See? Not so scary.”

You let out a shaky laugh, tears welling in your eyes. “You’re unbelievable.”

“And you’re stuck with me.” He wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into his warmth despite the flickering fire still lingering on your hands. “Black fire, Archon residue, whatever. None of it changes how I feel about you.”

For the first time in what felt like forever, you allowed yourself to believe him.

The forest was quiet except for the soft rustle of leaves underfoot and the occasional chirp of a distant bird. The usual peace of Gandharva Ville felt heavier tonight, though—tainted by the low, unsettling crackle of black fire at your fingertips. No matter how hard you tried, it wouldn’t extinguish.

“Hey!” Collei’s cheerful voice broke the silence, startling you. You turned to see her jogging toward you, a bright smile on her face. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”

Your stomach twisted in guilt. “Collei… don’t.”

She stopped a few steps away, tilting her head in confusion. “Don’t what?”

“Please,” you said, your voice trembling. “Don’t come any closer.”

The smile on her face faltered, replaced by concern. “Why not? What’s wrong?”

“I…” You clenched your fists, trying to keep the fire from flaring. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

Collei blinked, clearly startled by your words. “Hurt me? You wouldn’t do that.”

“You don’t understand!” Your voice rose, panic spilling out with every word. “This fire—it’s not normal. It’s not something I can control. It was made to destroy Archons, Collei. What if I can’t stop it from hurting you?”

Collei was quiet for a moment, her green eyes searching your face. Then she took a step forward, ignoring your sharp intake of breath. “Who said you would?”

Your heart lurched. “Collei, stop—”

“No.” Her voice was steady, but her expression was gentle. “You’re my friend. I know you, and I know you’d never hurt me. Not on purpose.”

“That’s the thing,” you said bitterly. “What if I do it without meaning to? What if I lose control? I’m not just a person, Collei. I’m… I’m a weapon.”

“You’re not a weapon.” Her words were firm, but her tone was kind. “You’re my friend. And whatever this fire is, it doesn’t change that.”

Tears prickled at your eyes, the weight of her trust almost unbearable. “You don’t get it. You should be scared of me.”

Collei shook her head, stepping closer despite the black flames licking at your skin. “I’m not scared of you. I know what it’s like to think you’re dangerous, to feel like you’re nothing but a tool for someone else’s plans. But Tighnari and everyone else showed me that it’s not true. And I want to show you the same.”

Her words struck a chord deep within you, and for a moment, the fire dimmed. You stared at her, at the way she stood unwavering despite the danger, and something in your chest cracked.

“What if I lose control again?” you whispered.

“Then I’ll be here to help you,” she said simply, holding out her hand. “But I don’t think you will. You’re stronger than you think.”

You hesitated, staring at her outstretched hand. Slowly, you reached out, letting your fingertips brush against hers. The fire hissed but didn’t lash out, its destructive energy strangely quiet in her presence.

“There,” she said softly, her smile returning. “See? You’re okay.”

A shaky laugh escaped your lips, tears spilling over. “How are you so calm about this?”

“Because I believe in you,” she said, squeezing your hand gently. “And I’ll remind you of that as many times as you need.”

For the first time in what felt like forever, you allowed yourself to believe her.

Long post discussing/critiquing the unicorn/nightmare hell event story. Spoilers ahead of course

I dont mean to be a hater here. I love shining nikki and the story its tryin to tell, and i dont know if this is a new development or not- i can t remember anythin about the last lore relevant event but i do remember i had a LOT of fun with desire/leonid- however.

I feel like unicorn/nightmare was poorly written. The structure for a great event story is there, there s no issues in that regard, but it s just- how can i describe it.. the writing feels amateurish? I didnt quite get the emotion in everyone's nightmares. I didnt get the feel that this nightmare was as bad as the narration tried to make it seem it is. I didnt even know the entire world was plunged in a nightmare and i feel like thats kinda critical info (and if they did tell and i forgot, disregard this whole sentence)

We kinda jumped through unconnected nightmares and thats ok, i guess, but it felt like nikki and player kinda just. Decided to fix everyone and immediately had the correct answer because of course they do, its nikki and player. I think dodora s nightmare was the best out of the bunch, but even with her, i didnt feel that emotion that i shouldve felt.

I was thinking while reading that in comarison to life makeover, sn's story isnt presented that well visually. They sure got better! Aloysius' vines, all the different lights that appear due to whatever crystal the current story is about, yknow, all those vfx they added. Thats super good and they should do more. But that s the thing, they need more. At the moment i feel like the story suffers a bit because not only is it not voiced, it feels quite static and inexpressive.

Ima use dodora s nightmare again as an example, but she was havin a whole breakdown over here, and her sprite looked just like the usual dodora... not even a pose change. And with how short it (and every other one) was, it really felt like the importance of the whole shebang was diminished.

I do appreciate that they seem to be makin an effort though. As far as i know sn makes way more money than life makeover, and their story presentation was fuckin great. I aint even askin for the same gameplay element that lm has (for context, you can investigate rooms for clues. They re 3d, linear, and can be skipped, but they re nice for immersion) or for live2d models, but i Am kinda asking for more sprites and more animations of the sprites. Make em bounce a bit! Or shake! And i wish we saw the old god.... maybe an abstract representation of them in the bg... just. Something... we were fighting a blank arena while the narration was trying to convince me some epic shit was happening.

Oh and also write the story better. I feel like i didnt explain that great but i think its the biggest downfall atm even though i didnt focus on it much on this post.... narration is very flowery and detailed, dialogue does the job, yet there s something missing from it all imo. U can have the blandest visuals ever but if ur writing is good it doesnt matter... thats why vooks exist yknow. At the same time, you re a visual novel sn, so u should be usin the visual part better... anyway this is long enough. Post

Think about it, isnt it strange? He appeals both to boys as the stoic badass samurai ("Omg he doesnt need a demon weapon, his soul is worth 99!") and to girls as a pretty boy to ship with the other pretty boys (as they do with Spirit and Stein, but maybe Im being too dismisive and thats cause those two have shared backstory)

But no matter how controversial it is to say that what I just implied, it's no question that Mifune had all the atributes to be made into a fanfavorite - "Oh he's so cool and serious but he also protects the innocent look how friendly he is with kids!" "Wow is he a bad guy or good guy??! What intrigue" "wow look how epic his battles with BS are!" and (manga spoilers) "Wow what a dignified death, how tragic and sad, yet how beautiful!"

The joke is, this might sound as if I was some fanboy crying about people not appreciating a charachter - but the thing is I dont really care about him myself lol.

Like on an "intelectuall" level I get that I should but somehow he was allways just ok, had cool scenes and is more likeable than not, but somehow he never really "connnected" or "resonated" with me (what zero demon weapons does to a mf?)

A bit ago I was looking through someone's blog on the tumblr and they were a big Bura x Goten proponent and I was looking at all of the stuff and marveling at how much there was and how much people cared.

Well I was just thinking about that the other day ... my personal dballzposting interpretation of that pairing is that they're like those two scenes from Clone High (season 1) where Joan moves her arm and JFK reflexively flinches (seen below)

Sorry I gave Goten this epic swag ninja rattail thing. Don't know why it came to me. Won't happen again sir. Also I gave him a facial scar becasue one day he and Trunks were playing with swords and Goten wasn't paying attention and Trunks got him good. Well anyway

It's like well there is an age gap of 13 years between them so this wasn't easy for Bura to pull off. But she's a force unto herself and as soon as she set his eyes on him she wasn't gonna take no for an answer. At first it was just sort of uncomfortable but as she got older and more serious Goten started to get the sense that he was in over his head. And that this was a battle that he wasn't going to win.

Still though he held out for as long as he could and there would be momenbts where Bura would show up at the sword training dojo that he runs with Trunks and he would Not Look At her and focus on the sword in his hands and say "Don't bother me Bura I'm busy training with swords. Your brother is in the other room" and she would say "You know that I'm not here to see him you darn dirty candied son of a bitch."

First here's the shit that I think is true about Goten and Bura always, no matter your purpose:

Goten has lived a really well-lived life I think. Which is to say, for the most part, he has had total autonomy. Obviously he will always bow to the orders of his mother, and he has always been respectful toward his elders, but it comes from a place of love and respect and he feels that those things are reciprocated. His perception of life has been expansive and sunshine-filled. He's always excited for another day. He feels as though he has power over himself and his actions, but also, he's comfortable enough to surrender a certain amount of control to fate. He's secure enough to be vulnerable.

He's always been Trunks's BFF and he hangs out at Capsule Corp quite a bit. When Trunks's new sister was born, it was a time of growth for the both of them: Trunks began to internalize for himself all the big-brother-habits that he's seen in Gohan over the years, and Goten finds the joy of witnessing a new generation below him. It's not a tough transition for him to relinquish his baby status to his new niece and Trunks's new sister; rather, he's excited to be a loving support figure, same as was always and still is shown to him.

So while he's been living his life to the fullest, he's also been somewhat present for the younger crowd. But keep in mind that he's still a youth himself. He definitely does have the virile life energy of a nubile tomcat. He definitely does make throes of city friends and he definitely does become an honorary member to many frat houses over the years. And by the time we arrive at GT times, he's self-absorbed and sort of shallow, in the way that a 23-year-old man might be. He's got one thing on his mind, and he's always been self-honoring. He's chatting up GIRLS.

We can assume that as he gets older he becomes more worldy and wise because .. well that's natural. We can also assume that more of his energy is spent sitting on deck chairs and cracking open a beer than it is spent on doing keg stands at parties.

Eventually, and I don't know if the timeline was ever disclosed, but he does canonically open a sword-training dojo with Trunks. Fuck yeah. That's the coolest shit.

So that's a schema of Son Goten right there.

Goten has always been nice to Trunks's sister becasue yknow that's what you do but he definitely is not obligated to care about her the way that he is about his niece. That's one of the strong points of Trunks and Goten's relationship actually, that they're not under familial obligation to give a shit about the other, which is why it's extra meaningful when they do bond, and it keeps channels of honesty open. And yknow, Goten and Trunks aren't gonna be MEAN to Trunks's kid sister, but it's no surprise that, in their self-serving interests of youth, they frequently find her to be a nuisance.

But here's the thing about Bura. She's a freak of nature. She's perfect. She's the perfect blend of her mother's insanity and intelligence and her father's fierceness and conviction. She's born knowing that she's of a special family and she takes to it very well. She was born with a Saiyan regality that Trunks just does not have. And she's damn stubborn. As a kid, if she wants to hang out with her family, then she will. Trunks isn't allowed to be mean to her so he has to kind of do what she wants to do. He can roll his eyes or complain or avoid her, but if she demands Mario Kart then Trunks has to play Mario Kart with her. He can set limits and compromises but she's still getting some Mario Kart time out of him. She's not the princess in a mocking way, she's genuinely a born princess.

Furthermore, she frequently considers GOTEN & TRUNKS a bore. As a baby they're fun but more and more as she ages, she's sort of fed up with them. She's 6 years old and she thinks they're annoying as hell when they're not bringing her to fun places. At age 7 she's speaking computer lingo like her mother and grandfather, and finding camaraderie in the 1's and 0's. She has friends of her own, and I know this because a spirit like hers would not content herself with isolation. She goes out and grabs life by the horns. She takes what she wants. She has this inborn fire. By age 10 it's undeniable: her presence of character way exceeds that of Trunks. Trunks finds himself avoiding certain rooms in the building that he senses are her territory, and though we can all pretend otherwise, on some level he knows that he no longer holds any sort of seniority or power over her: if he speaks and she complies, it's only by her grace. And it's a relief when she chooses to listen, because you will not win in a fight against her. This she gets from both parents: Bulma's womanly way of bringing the hammer down in verbal battles, and Vegeta's fiery persistence and confidence. When dealing with Bura, you get the sense that she has something unbeatable in reserves, and it's best to quit while you're ahead.

She's taken to power in the house naturally, and it makes perfect sense, given the circumstances. But Trunks just completely isn't like that. He never knew there was power to claim, and even as an older sibling, he could never establish a respectable presence. He bossed around Goten their whole lives, but then even the healthy Goten emotionally matured ahead of him. Maybe it's just Trunks's personality - in good health, he's easy and cool and chill and doesn't want any fire or electricity or anybody to hold power over anybody else. Or maybe some early life event set him in a weak direction, like a difficult birth or Bulma's inadequate new-mother habits. WHO KNOWS. But he just doesn't have what Bura has.

This is all something that is believable always. I will say this always. By age 9 Bura had already MASTERED fashion, as her outfit in GT so clearly shows.

You literally cannot improve upon that. She nailed it. And I'm of the belief that she stays winning.

So anyway. That stuff is true always. Now back to the bullshit

So essentially if you ask me how I think a Bura x Goten plot could go, there is really only one answer and it goes exactly like this:

Bura for whatever reason sets her eyes on Goten and that's it. Her will is written in stone. As soon as she set her eyes on him his fate is decided and that's it. She's an unstoppable force and he is not an immovable object. This is inevitable fate. Not even King Yemma can help him now

What happens is that Bura, for whatever reason, as she moves through puberty, decides that that Son Goten fellow is worth her attention. This is already so funny on its own. Do you know those stories of endangered birds in zoos imprinting on humans, and then falling in love with a zookeeper, so the zookeeper has to hang around and act as a bonded pair with this bird in order to encourage it to raise eggs properly? And it's so fucking bizarre but so so so beautiful too? It's kind of like that. When she's 15, he is a straight-up a 28 year old man. LIKE....? WHY......?

HE IS A FULL-ON 28 YEAR OLD MAN .......... WHY ?! He walks around in man jeans. He picks his nose when he thinks that no one is looking. He listens to Rob Zombie. He's sort of a disappointment. WHY HIM...??

I..... It's so funny but you can't argue with her becasue she's always right. She sees something beautiful and we're all going to let her have this. But it's just ... yknow ... she could have her pick of anyone in the world. She has friends her age I'm sure. She has boy band dudes at her disposal. She doesn't have to be this way. Why would she be this way. I was trying to make the argument that she's beyond formidable but maybe with great power comes great insanity...? That seems to be a trend. For example Bulma is a genius but she's also crazy. Dr Briefs & Bikini are crazy. Everybody's a weirdo here

I don't even think there's any "reason" like "her parents had her when they were old so she imprinted upon older individuals and can't help but to be drawn to them and to find herself in their midst" like NO that is NOT BURA. She's improbably invincible and won't be affected by reasoning like that. She's just weird. Or maybe she could sense that Goten is the kind of guy who would let a chick eat him alive and so she's just feeling chemistry between their natures idk. Either way, Goten looks young for a 30 yr old given his Saiyan blood, and it's not uncommon for pubescent kids to crush on matured adults, right? So this is a harmless situation, right?

Bura is very forward when she has something to communicate so this little crush of hers doesn't remain a secret for long. And Goten is whimsical enough to have a laugh of it. He's like "haha Trunks not to brag but it seems like your sister thinks i'm cute. I just turn all the heads. Poor thing can't help it. I'm sort of the epitome of male attractiveness so it makes sense ... she's a girl becoming a woman after all." and Trunks tells him to PLEEEAAASE shut up but Goten thinks it's funny. He lets himself be flattered but wholly unaffected. If anything he's sympathetic: "I remember being that age. I got a crush on a mannequin I saw in a window once. It's a weird time but I've no doubt that she'll persevere."

Trunks is frowning over it but Goten has a laugh of it. Ultimately, he's too busy being TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS OLD to care much. Trunks is still president of Capsule Corp, but the both are talking these days about getting back to their roots. This is the seed that'll later become their sword training dojo, but for now it's just bittersweet reminiscing and a subtle sense of being lost.

They don't know that Bura's little fixation is anything more than ephemeral and senseless, or that it'll become a viable problem. Goten doesn't know that when Bura visits Pan to hang out, she's begun to ask her questions like "your uncle doesn't usually stay with a girl long, right? Do you know why? What are the odds that he'll be married away in the next, oh I dunno, 10 years?" and Pan every time is like "Bura I'll shoot you in the forehead if you ask me that again."

Bura is like "Pan your uncle is cute af" and Pan is like "YOU'RE INSANE!!!"

Bura is like "the boys at school are cute and all but they all have so many opinions that they think I care about. The only opinion I care about is whether Goten would want a big wedding or a local affair" anbd Pan is like "THERE is something WRONG WITH YOU....!"

I mean they have the ability to hang out as normal and talk about Literally Anything Else, and they do, but Pan just has to be made aware that her friend Bura has evidently dedicated herself to weirdness with a fierce conviction, and this is just who she is now. Pan is trying to look ahead and figure out a career while Bura already KNOWS that she's going to usurp her brother as President and make a husband out of that Son Goten yet.

So now: while Goten has had an expansive and sunshine-filled life thus far, he's beginning to settle in spirit, and he's beginning to feel a touch of discomfort at the semi-frequent moves made by Trunks's teenage sister. At first it was endearing, but now - just a bit - Goten is starting to feel affected. Like he's involved. He wasn't really involved before. He was free to do as he pleased. But now he's feeling a smidge uncomfortable, and he feels pressed by circumstances to say something.

It's just a bit, at first. In theory, he still has total autonomy. He could turn around and walk home at any point. But he says something like "Okaaaaaaaaaay Well Trunks would you mind having a chat with your little sister about boundaries and personal space and appropriate language and whatnot?" But all Trunks can do is shrug and concede that "I don't really have any power over her Goten......."

It's a little harrowing. But ultimately harmless: she'll grow out of it.

But again, Bura is a force to be reckoned with. This does not diminish with time, but instead she picks up not just INTENSITY but EFFICIENCY. She becomes more and more sold in her ways. Goten can't "Does Your Mother Know" by ABBA his way out of this one

(sidenote this is in my top 10 fave songs and has been as long back as matters .. the looping bassline drives me crazy .. And i think it's really classy too. So tbh just let me have this)

Anyway. So over the years one gets the sense of "oh shit she wasn't messing around." "Oh shit she really means this." "Oh shit this isn't going away." "Oh shit."

Goten has always enjoyed his freedom, but lately, he's begun to feel like a shark is sniffing him out in the water. He keeps pretending that there's nothing going on and nothing to fear, and this denial keeps him safe from the realization that: Bura is a strong-willed Saiyan woman who has made her decision. It's only a matter of time now.

Goten for a while at least has the defense of "Not until you're a day over 18 sister" but that's all semantics. Time is inconsequential and will dutifully pass.

It's like this growing spiral of constriction, if you will - every new attempt at rediscovering that old sense of a boundless world is met with another hang-up or closed door, and it's subtle, but Goten can't run forever from the reality that he is being tracked like an animal and that his place of power has long since melted away.

And there's a lot of hang-ups - life is tumultuous right now. In the family, Pan is undergoing a spiritual discovery herself, and her ineffective searching is unnerving even to others. She eventually works on the family farm for a while, which is something that Goten is trying to uproot and leave behind. But he can't seem to keep a woman, and if left to his own devices, he would settle into the melancholy and respect the beautiful sadness he's seen until love blooms anew again; but seeing as his single status is a threat to his livelihood as it is tantalizing to the shark, he is nervous. Trunks is at his breaking point when it comes to his job, and Goten hasn't felt nourished by their friendship in a long while. He wishes he could help, but Trunks can't realize his fantasies of running off and playing with swords in the mountains until there is somebody to take his place --- and it all comes back to Bura doesn't it. She's 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, then 21 - Goten is in the middle of nothing until she finally relieves Trunks of his presidential duties and takes the chair.

Then Goten and Trunks are free to run off and fuck off, which is cool, and life is good again. It was a bit tense for a moment there but it's good again. It was a bit scary for a moment there, and Goten in a moment of weakness had seen for himself the inexorable reality that is his romantic predispositions as a male saiyan, and he had grabbed Trunks by the shoulders and begged him to please do something about his huntress of a sister, becasue Goten was only a man after all and of the stock of his father and he knew how it had gone with his parents and he knew how it had gone with his brother and he knew how it was going to go for him and he wasn't ready to lie down and take it yet and he needed Trunks to do soemthing to stop this becasue Goten at this moment felt that if Bura made one more convincing pass at him then he wouldnt know what he would do. And Trunks, feeling affronted, and in the knowledge he too is powerless, and in a transitory time in his life as well, could do nothing but punch Goten in the jaw and then cry into his chest.

But that was like a few months ago and it feels like years and it's all good now. They can forget all about all of that. That was all bullshit anyway. Now they can follow their passions and play with swords. Bura is too busy with the new job to be a nuisance. Trunks doesn't have to mourn the way that he feels like he never got to have a relationship with his sister becasue he was always fecklessly trying to keep her away from his BFF and he just had to pick one. It doesn't matter because he can play with swords now. He doesn't have to think about the devout fearful aversion that he holds for the strong-woman-eats-man dynamic because hes out in the mountains playing with swords with Goten. He doesn't have to witness that pattern in his parents and grapple with the way that his own conception revolved around the dynamic of a man lying his spirit down, or submitting to a womanly force. He doesn't have to think about the way that his father of strong character had warned him about women like that. He doesn't have to witness that dynamic in his parents, or in Goten's parents, or in anyone, because right now it's just he and Goten up there in the mountains playing with swords. Trunks doesn't have to face the horrific distress of bearing witness to his best friend being hunted and shot down by a woman of will. He doesn't have to see Goten grip at his shirt in fearful desperation, the fear of a man who already knows who is in possession of his soul; the fear of the body wanting to live and fighting against the spirit who can see and accept death. And Trunks especially doesn't have to sit and try to digest the ungodly amount of rage he feels toward his own sister, who has always gotten her way, who is trying to steal Trunks's most important friend from him, and who has forced Trunks to reconcile with his own weakness and vulnerability at the courtesy of her own strength.

So everything's good up there in the mountains. And I'm unsure on the timeline but they play with swords and do some exploring and traveling and discovering and eventually they see it fit to open their own dojo. Life is good.

But Bura will still come around like she always has and she'll walk into the dojo that they're trying to renovate and her red heels will clack on the ground like it's nobody's business. And she'll talk to Goten and he just has to stare at his sword and avoid looking at her and sweat stoically and insist "I'm with another girl again now you can't keep pushing your shit Bura..." and she just stands there in her perfect outfit with her hands on her hips knowing damn well that this battle was over with as soon as it started. And over the years life has been good and bad and scary and fun and they've had their laughs and tears. And it's really no big deal. Bura could have anyone in the world, if she wanted them. Right now she's perfectly satisfied in her professional life. She sort of misses the female camaraderie but she's willing to wait until Pan is done with her soul-searching journey before reconnecting with her again. She trains enough and socializes enough and feels enough that she's doing really good for herself, like always.

She's 25 years old and she stands at the attention of this poor 38-year-old bastard. Goten avoids looking at her in the eye, or at all, same as Vegeta did to Bulma when he first started to feel her effect. Bura instinctively knows the signs.

Goten is an open kind of person. He doesn't like denying and repressing things for long. It's counterintuitive to him, someone who places a certain amount of respect in and relinquishes a certain amount of control to fate, to keep fighting against the current for forever. He craves the comfort and relief of lying down with grace. Saiyans keep fighting until they're dead, but only for interests of the self, and Goten doesn't see it fit to keep fighting against himself like this.

He doesn't look at her because he knows that she's already won. He's just biding his time. Obviously he would have preferred that things had gone differently, and he wishes that a woman of his generation would have committed to him the fierce way that Bura has, but them's the cards. At the end of the day, Goten is very much a "Oh well. Play the cards that I'm given" kind of guy. Meanwhile Bura is the one who's dealing the cards.

He doesn't look at her until all of him is ready to. There's still some fight in him that hasn't accepted fate yet. That's fine. We've all the time in the world. It marches dutifully on.

There's literally a day where Goten and Trunks are cloudgazing in silence and then Goten slowly gets up and says "........yknow what Trunks. I'm um. I'm gonna go visit Bura.. See what she's up to." And he doesn't hang around for a response, he just starts walking away. And there's nothing of worth that Trunks can say because he knows exactly what that means and he can't stand to see it. He would rather spend his whole life fighting the will of a woman, to prove that he has power, and that it's possible for him to win. He could never accept the outlook that it's inevitable, that that's just biology. He's been fighting on Goten's behalf for years, keeping he and Bura in seperate rooms, trying to vain to talk some sense into the both of them, making sure to keep Goten's fighting spirit up - and to think that all of that effort could amount to nothing...? That Trunks cannot vicariously heal the wound and insecurity that he inherited by circumstances of his conception and by witnessing his parents' relationship...? That Goten's submission is a mark of grace and strength, and not of anything else, is obvious but incredibly difficult for Trunks to digest.

Anyway, though. I don't know why a 25 year old woman would want to be with a 38 year old man but Bura is just funny and crazy that way. They get married too. She marries a 40 year old. IDK why but it's funny. And BTW I forgot to weave this in but all of their parents have opinions on this arrangement too. Sort of. Goku doesn't care. Chichi has many qualms, such as the age gap, or Bura's busy lifestyle hamstringing her housewife potential, but she's also glad that FINALLY her second son is to be married! Bulma takes start but of course sees beauty in the way that her daughter will do as she will. She probably thinks it's funny in the end. Vegeta's opinion is really the one I want to talk about though because it's so simple and straightforward and factual to him

See unto his son he's imparted the idea subtlety that: women are stronger than men. He tells Trunks to never stop training, to keep improving, to be stronger than the world, etc. Out loud, he says things about minding your own strength and that chivalry is needed when it comes to women, because you cannot abuse your own strength. But in his BEHAVIOR, it looks to Trunks less like chivalry, and more like getting pussywhipped. Vegeta TRIES to argue with Bulma and ALWAYS loses. This has set up Trunks to feel distrustful about his own vulnerability and about aggressive women in general.

Unto his daughter, Vegeta has implicitly imparted these beliefs of his. While he never SAYS outloud anything about men and women and their dynamic, his beliefs regarding do come through. He raises Bura to be completely confident and self-loyal. He encourages all whims and passions of hers. He even bends to her opinion sometimes, like in GT when he shaved his mustache because she said that he looked awful with it. Why would she have that opinion? She's just a fashionista 9 year old who is saying shit. She may change her mind tomorrow. Who's to say that she's right about anything? She's 9. BUT he not only honored her opinion, but deferred to it. This is the reality of Bura's upbringing. And when she bears witness to strife between her parents, she always feels assured that it is her side who will win in the end.

So when it comes to Bura maintaining a committed crush on Son Goten, Vegeta's opinion is simple: GO FOR IT GIRL! The fuck! What're you asking me for?! You come from a long line of people who win hard. Furthermore, all of your opinions are correct and your spirit is perfect. Your path of maturity has been only beautiful and your potential is pure. I will do whatever it takes to ensure that nobody will surpass me and I expect you to do the same and if I die by your hand I will be proud of you. That won't happen because I'll never quit ever but if it did happen I'd be proud of you. Anyway. Love is a woman's prerogative and you've made a decision. We are all going to respect that.

And then Vegeta looks at Goten for 3 seconds one day and in that 3 seconds perceives the perfect truth: That this bloke will be a respectful husband and will absolutely do as his wife says. He'll be the strong man behind the even stronger woman. This is fine and natural. All is right in the world.

You may think that he'd have opinions about his daughter being with a son of Kakarrot but he doesn't. He's always treated his children as self-realized individuals and they are free to do as they do. Their ways aren't up to him. He can do his best to inculcate nerve and honor in them but he cannot, and is not interested in, controlling them. He has absolutely no opinion on his daughter getting with kakarot's son.

Anyway. Back to Goten and Bura and the ever-apparent vortex that she has him in that he eventually concedes to.

See Goten has Saiyan blood first of all so of course he likes strength in a woman. Nothing speaks of strength more than the tenacity of a huntress. Second of all, his upbringing. Look at his mother... she's strong, strict, decisive, forceful, stern, controlling. This is Goten's perception of women. He has been trained to respond to sharp orders by a woman. He responds well to it, actually. His mother has always loved him and he feels like he belongs when a woman tells him what to do. He feels like a good and proper husband when his wife tells him what to do. And he does what she tells him to do, too! He doesn't want to cause grief like his father caused his mother by being defiant or careless. This is his nature and upbringing. He responds very well to forceful treatment. Reciprocation to this is his love language, in a way.

He began to sense this with Bura a few years in, which is what fueled the fear - the idea that he was up against something that he was weak to. But eventually, he does have the grace to accept love, in any form, as it comes to him, and he does bow his head to circumstance, and he feels love by doing so.

This is the very thing that Trunks is so strongly against, and perhaps part of why his romantic exploits have always gone cold is because he in unwilling to accept that a piece of this is in his nature as well.

But yeah. Bura marries a man 13 years her senior and it's her prerogative. She and Goten have 3 kids exactly 2.5 years apart in age. Goten is a househusband and he's soooooooo happy to do it. He learns how to cook from his mother and he loooooves taking care of the kids. He's soooooo proud to have them and he loves them. He is so touched by beauty and pride for his wife's offspring, and he's so honored that they're his kids too. He's 40 years old and was starting to fear that he wouldn't have the time to be a father. He's so grateful that a young woman with ample reproductive potential chose him, because he almost missed his chance there. Sometimes he feels that it's too good to be true. He loves being a parent

When the second one was born he was sitting with Trunks and holding the baby and Trunks could see the remarkable tenderness, gratitude, and humility radiating off of Goten, and it made his stomach tie up in a knot. And then Bura (who has taken maternity leave to nurse the baby) calls from the other room - some sort of command - she summons her husband or something or another - and it's not a bark, because she's much too dignified and serene, it's just the loving order of a wife - and Goten responds reflexively - "yes dear" - and then seems to feel love as though the reflex were deliberate. He rises with the babe in his arms - and it's a healthy baby, too, though it's too early to say much else - and he doesn't properly excuse himself from he and Trunks's conversation because he assumes that Trunks, as a man, would understand and respect the beckon of a wife. This is the necessity of family.

But obviously Trunks hates every single part of this. He hates his sister for this, and the hate is too strong for him to engage in without losing himself so he just shoves it away. He misses his BFF and feels like he has nobody. Ideally Goten would have taken on literally any other woman as a wife, and then Trunks could maintain some closeness, but his sister has lived a pervasive pattern of running him out of his own territory (house space, parents's attention, work) so he can't even just sit here. He wants to be delighted by his nephews but he feels so difficult inside about it.

It's soooooo miserable for him but Goten loves it. He LOVES not having to think too hard or make difficult executive decisions - Bura already has opinions, a plan, Bura already knows. I imagine that their age gap makes it weird sometimes - Goten has this old man wisdom while Bura is a girl of the city - but they are able to close this discrepancy with surprising frequency and efficiency. Bura can maintain a thoughtful, emotional, perceptive conversation. Goten can feel honored by her words. She responds to him with consideration, in her assertive way, and he even forgets his place sometimes and tries to get her to open up before she chooses to. She likes this about him.

Obviously everything to up to her and she decided that she wanted 3 kids 2.5 years apart and he was like Ok. And she already knows what she wants to name her first son and her first daughter, and she not only lets Goten but WANTS Goten to name the other(s). She does love him. For some reason. We still don't know why. But now that it's all said and done, they do play well together.

The first kid is a boy and she names it something like Thong or Sock idk to fit the nomenclature on her mother's side. The next one is another boy so Goten gets to name this one - and obviosuly obviosuly OBVIOUSLY he names it Gohan III. The last one is a daughter named Eschalot. Obviosuly.

Anyway that's my post and unsolicited opinion on Bura x Goten.

Rambling about Fanny x oswald

Sooooo as you can guess i've been thinking about oswald and fanny alot latley and I thought id explain my view on their dynamic a little bit more since I am on break rn and thought "why not?"

The reason why there a really good pair and duo as a whole for me is suprisingly because there the opposite of my fav dynamic thats 2 opposites bringing the best out of one another, there really symilar in many ways, both are stupid stubborn can be rude at times and are really ready to challange people and their ideas no matter what If they truly belive there In the right However as much as there gonna be sore losers about it They will admin it if there proven wrong about something

That's kinda the reason why There even into eachother, they non stop challange one another their arguments look less like a loud yelling mach and more like Accual argument vs Accual argument, there both extremly stubborn so if one's proven wrong the other gave some really good arguments most likely thanks to their non-bias towards something

However Despite their arguments and rocky×rocky personalities being kinda what makes them intrigued in eachother Its the intentions they have towards eachother that really made them fall in love, like I said the one can prove other wrong hence there both really good at arguing but the moments when that happens are often less For petty reasons and to prove that "Im smarter" but to protect or help the other

Fanny argues agains it not because she's a nurse and its her job to help people nor because she likes to show off her medical knowlage but because she's accualy worries for oswald and knows it will help him

Viktor sees his own mistakes. He sees the reality it becomes. He sees his old self. The regrets the other him has. VIKTOR WENT BACK IN TIME AND TRIED EVERY VERSION TO TRY TO SAVE HIMSELF. AND THE ONLY ONE THAT WORKED WAS INSPIRATION.

"I thought I could bring an end to the world's suffering. But when every equation was solved, all that remained, were fields of dreamless solitude. There is no prize to perfection, only an end to pursuit.

And young Viktors fukcinh face. He understands. The mistakes he's made. He looks up and can see it. And he knows to end it would destroy him, and he asks Jayce to go.

And Jayce grabs his shoulder and rips the rune from his own wrist and gives it to Viktor.

They're just staring into each other's eyes like.

THE 2D ANIMATION. THE OTHER RUNES EVERYONE BEING FREED.

Viktor holds it alone. Jayce grabs his hand. They loose each other. Viktor tried to hold it together alone, Jayce reaches for him. He grabs his hand and his neck and they press foreheads and hold the rune together.

Idea on Who would survive a horror movie/film, DJATS edition

Inspired by Which DJATS character would survive a horror movie? poll by @svvy2003 (tagged).

 I'm writing my own idea About It.

First i'm starting with characters and their horror tropes, and according to those tropes, who would survive, and who wouldnt, also who i would save, if i was allowed, which is difficult, because people has to die in Horror movies. I don't like to kill characters when i write tbh, because i get attached to them, thats the most difficult for me when im writing horror. But It has to be done. My fave genre to write Its murder mystery, because Only one dies (the awful one™) and then the others are ALL suspects because, everyone wanted that fucker dead XD.

Also, the physical look of the actors/ actresses playing those characters in Djats show,  will be the one taken account for the judging, as It affects also in their survival chances (sadly) :

• The groupies (the groupies "going at It" with Billy,  Eddies date the night of the affair with Camila, Graham's beach date...etc).

- Their horror trope : Hot "silly and slutty" girl (as horror writers judge them to be...🙄). 

- Chances of Survival : Nope, 🎶nopity noopeee🎶 = 0%. They get instantly gruesomely killed, with unnecessary nakedness (shower or crappy sex scenes).

-Opinion : I hate the trope Its sexist as fuck, but Horror movies wouldnt allow saving too many people, because horror=death, so...They die.

• Lisa Crowne 

-Her horror trope : the hot sweet girl. 

-Chances of Survival: very low 10%-20% . 

Its the female sexy (non slutty) girly girl.  Sometimes plans the loss of her virginity , in teen slashers. Writers logic in horror Its : Sweet sexy likeable feminine girl = dies 🙄. Her death Its sudden & tragic, as everyone likes her , her demise always makes you gasp. Usually the first one to die of the group, or the second one, if any of the groupies was a girlfriend of a group member. The Sweet sexy one dies just before the wise one dies,  and Its the "Shit just got real moment". 

I would like to save her, cause i LOVE her, but her death Its necessary for horror & drama 😭

• Graham Dunne (also adding Tobías here, they have similar vibes) 

- Horror trope: the cute loveable guy, sort of little brother for everyone. Sometimes he also gets the trope of final girl's best friend / tough chick complicated boyfried, who crushes on the final girl. 

- Chances of Survival: very low = 5% to 10%. Hes young, cute, a guy that everyone likes and is younger brother for someone more prominent or dominant, so...As writers love the drama, he gets killed soon, and Its one of the characters that we care about. He dies, right after the groupies, and the Sweet sexy girl,  but way before the wise one and other characters. This character death usually is a catalyst, so.. Its necessary 😭

• Warren Rojas

-His horror trope : the Funny one.

-Chances of Survival: very low = 5% to 10%. The funny character usually lives just to survive the wise one, towards the middle of the movie. He gives some comic relief, and youre sad for him later.  Its death Its usually short and less explicit. 

In this case, sadly, he's even more fucked, cause he's latino,and he's affected by the racist and disgusting "no pocs alive at the end" trope (popular between the 70's to the 2000's) present at many horror films,still nowadays...He dies. 

Again, i dont want him dead, I dont want to perpetuate this trope, I just dont...But the funny one needs to die, to break the audiences Hearts 😭

• Teddy Price ( add Billy's and Graham's mom / Camila's mom here, same vibes.)

- The horror trope: wise one paternal/ maternal figure, loved by everyone.   

- Chances of Survival: very low = 10% to 20%. Dies killed in a tragic and epic scene, towards the middle of the movie, probably sacrificing for the rest of the group, maybe because the awful one™ actions. 

-Racism in this case doesn't matter (thank God!!) but just because of the ageism trope (😭) , if you're older than 50... you die, period. (The walking dead, im looking at you!!😡) 

- I would like to save him/them, as i dont like killing off characters. Having said that, that death in a horror story Its very sad but very fitting, would probably die saving Billy.  Devastating one 😭😭😭

• Rod Reyes.

- Horror trope: cool protector "older than the rest" but "still young and hot enough" figure. This character is epic, smart and hot all in one.  Example:  In vampire movies he/she is the cool vampire Hunter, second smarter after the wise one™.

- Chances of Survival: low to moderate = 25%-50%. He usually dies, towards the end of the movie, and his death Its the catalyst of the evil thingy demise and / or the final girl wake up call (many times Its the final girl's older brother/sister or stranged after divorce father, so yeah).  Other times this character survives, but mauled... But in that scenario, at least they get to live (yayy!!). Rod is gay, so written by stereorypical writers, he may get affected by the disgusting "bury your gays" trope STILL common in movies/TV...what the fuck!!! (Deathtrap, Halloween kills, Scream 4...)

-I would like to save him...So he:  1- lives heavily mauled 2- if he really needs to die to adjust survivor numbers...Then he dies an epic death saving people, thus leaving us devastated (think the typical explosion with a big group of zombies surrounding the group, after being bitten himself).

• Eddie Roundtree

-His horror trope : the annoying one, aka The one who always complains and doesn't help at all. 

-Chances of Survival: None, 🎶nopity, nopeeee🎶=  0% to 10%. 

The annoying one always dies, usually when he/ she stops being annoying and start being reasonable/nice (arc redemption of sorts??) then...he/ she dies towards the middle to the end. Right after the Funny one. People feel sad, because they die just when they started to get likeable . 

-As i said, dont like killing, but Eddie goes down 😟

• Nicky (Niccolo) Fitzpatrick- Argento

-His horror trope : the awful one™ aka the one everyone hates , absolutely everyone. May actually be the killer in some teen slashers (Scream). He always fucks everything up, doesn't go with the plan,  gets someone killed because of It (tough chick or wise one), Its a fucking coward (see Train to Busan's Yon-suk) , may or may not be obsessed with the final girl  (Scream again). This IS the one you want to die during the film.

-Chance of survival: Even less than None, 🎶Nope nopity nopeeee 🎶 =  - 100% to 0% 😈.  Always has the most gruesome death, to make people slightly happier after breaking their hearts too many times with the rest of deaths. Its also the death we always remember as "holly bloody awesome" when we remember the film, this is where writers puts most of their creative artistic sadism into action... And let's face it, its way more satisfying than It should be.

Because Nicky Its the fucking worse, He dies a horrible death. Byeee!!

• Bernie 

-Her horror trope : the nice sporty boyfriend/girfriend for another character.

-Chance of Survival: No, 🎶nopity Nope🎶 0% to 5%. This character, like smart sexy girl and lovey boy, IS designed to die and break our Hearts, always. Plus, in Bernie's case.. In a horror, being black and lesbian ("Vásquez always dies" + "no poc at the end" : Land of the death, The hollow child, the descent, the ridge grave Girls, killing Eve...) with the usual writers, that inhabit fiction (horror)...Lets face it, she's screwed. 

-I would like to save her, shes fit and strong, i hate tropes, So she:  1- lives heavily mauled. 2- if she really needs to die (like Rod before) to adjust survivor numbers...Then she dies an epic death saving people, thus leaving us devastated (see Rods death before) . In this case she dies saving Simone 😭 probably from one of Nickys fucked up actions.

• Simone Jackson

-Her trope : best female friend of the final girl. 

-Chance of survival: moderate to high = 50% to 100%. Tricky, if Its written by old times male writers, she as a black woman and a lesbian...you already know the tropes. But , if Its written by modern times cool writers (see Hell Fest movie) she survives, maybe hurt/ mauled, but does live. That type of character death follows the tear jecker trope (like lovely boy and Sweet sexy girl) 

-I would definitely save her, be It mauled or healthy, but she gets to live. No doubt on that one.  She will survive. Period.

 • Julia Dunne (add Daisy's daughter and Graham's kids too) 

-Horror trope : daughter/ younger sister of the Hero and or the final girl (when is a baby/ kid). If teen or adult, she gets "smart nerdy girl, too clumsy to survive alone" trope. Either case, "damsel in distress" trope.  

-Chance of survival: low to high= 25% to 80% 

This one was the most complicated to me.  Because if we write her as an Adult, then she dies in the Hero or Final Girl's arms, to add drama, or had survived after enduring horrifying torture/trauma at the villains hands. 

If Its a kid...

 1 - if Its written by old school writers (the walking dead comic , plenty of writers till the 90's) then kid/baby lives.

 2 - But if Its new school writers (see the Walking Dead TV show or Game of Thrones to see what i mean) she dies as a kid too. And we bawl our eyes out 😭😭😭😭😭😭. 

I really want to save Julia and the other kids too . If Its a baby/ kid  written by me, then Its safe, i refuse to kill kids in my stories, period. 

If Its Adult... i dont know, may sacrifice her/them to save another person ? Julia definitely would die for others. Depends on the story and genre,. 

To me as Adult, Julia survives (mauled) saved by Billy. The kids (Daisy's an Graham's) lives, saved by parents. No kid dies here agenda Its Alive and well.

• Billy Dunne

- His horror trope: the tortured hero™ ,  he's the hot main man all Girls want.  Also Its 1 -the final girl love interest, in which they either dont get along at first or are dramatic exes (Daisy)  2-  are a very in love couple in a huge crisis, always because of him (Camila). 

In the first scenario they fall (or fall again) in love and defeat the evil. 

Second one, they survive and reinforce their relationship (what happened in Djats, but im digressing) 

- Chance of survival: moderate to high = 50% to 100%. Its tricky, because , for one part, Billy its physically hot and fit, also brave, and we all know for sure he does know how to fight/ throw a good puch. He's a badass. If he were the main character and got to have "before the 90's writers",  he survives 100% (see original Evil Dead series), but if he is the final girl's love interest.. he gets mauled or he dies for her safety, and you all know that Billy would die for those he loves (Julia , Camila, Daisy, Graham, Teddy...)

Its one of the few things that Billy Dunne has in common with Sam Claflin's other most popular character : Finnick O'dair. They both would absolutely die for those they love without hesitation.  

Against his survival, there's also... that he is played by Sam Claflin (my beloved❤️) who dies a lot in films ,at the point of being this generation's Sean Bean...😭. I've seen him die more than I can bear... Anyway, because i am not objective , as I love Sam, and i like Billy, i want him to survive, but as writers like to make him suffer, I'm writing him to survive mauled,  but very much alive (yaayyy!!!) *cough learn Suzanne Collins cough*.

• Karen Sirko 

- Her trope: tough chick. 

If Its a secondary character Its usually sidelined. As main character , she shines and saves the day. 

- Chances of Survival: moderate to high =  50% to 100%.  Depends, again,  if Its secondary, then chances are lower (Vasquez always dies trope) But if shes the main, she survives. Also in her case, depends of the horror genre, in Sci-fi shes the absolute main character, and the final girl (see Alien, Karen = Ripley, for real) if Its zombie apocalypse/ Vampires/ werewolves etc fights greatly, but dies in the end (Land of the dead) But if she's secondary and in slasher, she doesn't get a chance, and dies towards the end, because of the awful one character coward actions. Also... she's blonde , they dont do well in horror films. 

- I would try my hardest to save her, but only if the story works. If not, then Epic death (Rod + Bernie) might be required. 

• Camila Dunne / Camila Álvarez 

-Her trope : She has plenty. 

1- THE FINAL GIRL (before the 90's).

2- Perfect girlfriend/ wife or tortured hero™ (Billy).

3- Dream girl, too perfect for being real and Too good for this world. 

-Chances of Survival: low to very high = 30% to 100%. 

1- If Its old time writers (or gothic fiction) and she's the main one, she survives, she's what all Girls should aspire to be, the males LOVE her...Survives 100%. 

2- Old times writers... But Billy IS the main one: 

a) She survives with him as the LOVE interest who was on crisis with him, but forgives him, and end Up together, marrying (thats why i used her maid surname before) = 100% Survival ❤️

b) She is the girlfriend / wife of "avenging tortured hero boyfriend", after a R&R movie scenario, and dies just for the "man-pain" trope : The Crow , Death Wish (Camila Morrone appears on that one playing Julia's trope role), The Punisher, Mandy, Seeing Justice...Then dies 100%😭

3- New time writers totally kill her type of girl, for shock / drama factor , maybe make her be slightly mean or manipulative to that other "not-like-other-Girls" modern final girl (you know Who i mean), to get that one they like better with the male Hero (*cough literally Taylor Jenkins Reid* and cough *Hello Sunshine writers cough*). 

In her favor : she's Hot and brunette. Brunettes are the winning ones usually. Against her : she's latina (poc dies trope, remember?) and is considered slutty(!?) by some audiences for her affair thing with Eddie / the Guy she has a Crush in high school!!! ...Dont go to Twitter / X ever...Seriously, don't. Save yourself the headache, that i just got yesterday.

- I would try to save her without hesitation, tbh. If she has to die (numbers adjustement) , then she resurfaces as a Ghost and Its the narrator of the story. Period. I dont give a damn anymore. She gets to exist...Still better than what canon did for her, tbh. 

• Daisy Jones

- Her trope : Also plenty. 

1- Modern (90's to nowadays) main girl or final girl aka ~🎶 Not-like-other-Girls™ ✨~ : Slightly insane but unique, feminine But not too much, whimsical, ethereal, but lonely... Its usually written by modern writers (female). Very present at indie movies, romcom, romance in general and Young Adult ex: Twilight's Bella Swan anyone??? Daisy Jones reminds me a lot to Bella Swan: gets everything she wants, does mostly fuck up , she is "Not-like-other-Girls™ ", both have terrible moms . And somehow , they get EVERYONE'S love...Tell me Daisy isn't like that !!!  I love her, dont get me wrong, But let's be honest here...That IS Daisy's trope.

2- Possessed by evil entity , because...Well, because....Just because she is a redhead!!!???😱 Apparently demons dig possessing redheaded girls , at least according to horror writers 🙄.

And if you are a woman with mental health issues then...Welcome to "woman with mental health issues= Evil woman" trope. Its still present at fiction nowadays (sadly) Ex: Evil Dead (2013) most Lifetime movies about evil women.

3- Hidden real Evil one, either a Witch, Vampire or a human mastermind killer. She is hot and redhead, I theorize that horror writers hates redheaded pretty women, because they have been rejected by redhead women (as they should) and those men are bitter now...🤣 Proof of the theory Its that there's way too many examples to count here...

-Chances of Survival: high to very high = 75% to 100%. 

Let's face It , the series are called Daisy Jones and the Six for a reason, she IS charismatic as fuck, the girl has main character energy in spades,which means that she has a "Big as the Everest" sized plot armor. 

I also am old enough and have read enough to recognise that thick plot armor when i see It, Daisy has It , I mean : 

1- Dont die of overdose in book nor in the show, 

2- As older woman was healthy and still Hot...After that extreme drug use???! Come on!

3- She also got :

clean / sober,

cute little daughter (serie) ,

brilliant career writing (book) / singing (serie)

The hot Guy™ tortured hero aka Billy too!!!! (Book implied, Serie explicitly seen at the end). 

So, if she can survive the drugs adiction with 0 to no consequences...Then she survives whatever you do to her...she IS unkillable.

𝒜𝔩𝔞𝔰𝔱𝔬𝔯 ; Background stuff

Anyways, that human Alastor post made me wanna throw down some thoughts about Alastor's "background" cause racist zoomer antis in the fandom are wild. I've never gone too hard or deep into Al's history and stuff like that, or rather I've never spoke about it in detail because I didn't want to get attached to my own concepts if canon came along and contradicted anything but none the less I've had plenty of thoughts about Al and I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I AM that he really does seem to be almost everything I imagined so far, but its still early days as far as actual canon goes so we have a lot to cover and theres a lot we haven't seen yet and honestly might never and there is nothing wrong with that. But, like, ultimately, its really insane to me that people out here will claim that if Alastor's history doesn't paint like some "empowering" django unchained esque picture of in your face racism and oppression that he's not a "real black man" or that anything about him is "racist" or "inaccurate" and w/e because like ... Heres the thing, history isn't as black and white as that ( no pun intended ! ) and while Alastor's time period was good for some epic racism and he undoubtably would have had to navigate it throughout his life regardless to anything, Alastor also lived in New Orleans, Louisiana. Which is pretty fucking important to get an ( accurate ) idea of what Alastor's life as a mixed person would have looked like.

Louisiana had a pretty big population of free blacks. Socially and  economically this was a "good" place for black people going as far back as around the 1760s, maybe even earlier. Black people lived and prospered there, often enjoying similar freedoms as white folks way before that was even getting thought about in other places. This was especially true for black women. At a point, it was recorded that a quarter of the houses along the main streets of New Orleans were owned by free black people and MOST of those were SINGLE BLACK WOMEN. Which is really something to note, especially for this time, this being in the 18th century so this is much earlier than Alastor's time period.

But bringing  us  to  Alastor's  time  of  being  alive,  which  would  be  around  the  1900s  to  his  death  in  1933,  yeah,  its  highly,  highly  likely  Alastor's  ancestry  has  a  lot  of  free  blacks,  its  likely  Alastor's  mother  was  a  land  owner  or  of  higher  class  which  meant  yes,  despite  being  a  person  of  colour,  Alastor  likely  had  plenty  of  privileges  and  not  just  because  of  being  "white  passing",  but  because  this  was  relatively  normal  for  black  people  in  this  area.

And  thats  pretty  much  how  I've  seen  it  for  Alastor.  He's  well  aware  of  racism,  he's  experienced  period  typical  racism  toward  himself  and  toward  his  family  as  that's  unavoidable,  but  he's  never  had  a  real  concept  of  being  "lesser"  to  whites,  he's  never  seen  himself  as  such,  there's  no  point  of  reference  in  his  family  for  him  to  look  to  and  see  this  up  close  aside  from,  again,  the  attitudes  of  whites  around  him,  if  that  makes  sense.  In my HC Alastor's father was white but he wasn't in the picture, he doesn't really know him but it honestly doesn't matter because Alastor's mother owned their home and, in my hc, ran her own small hair salon as a business. She tended to have bad relationships with men but all in all she was a strong woman and Alastor's immense respect of women very much started with her. ( And Alastor's dislike of men started with his mother's lame ass boyfriends. ) So Alastor's articulate, educated and high-class demeanor comes from here. Yes he "acts" and "talks" "white" in a sense, but this isn't to intentionally emulate whiteness as such, it was just the "standard" of the "upper class" at the time which is what Alastor's actually emulating and what was widely considered desired regardless of race as this was what made someone come across as powerful and affluent at this time.

Alastor's main concern throughout his life is appearing powerful, though not necessarily to follow the status quo, which he's actually always enjoyed subverting. But a lot of his outward presentation has to do with this, from his mode of dress to his constant smiling. This could be considered another hallmark of his time period but also, yeah, sure, that aside Al does have "issues" and you could probably say they DO stem from a place of paranoia and aversion toward being looked down upon in life, which again is also likely due to the unavoidable racism of his time and the consequences of racism still being much greater here in spite of his freedoms.

I also think I made an older post mentioning this and it was something I wanted to babble about after I watched the eps and decided not to because I got side tracked squealing about things on discord but Alastor saying to Vaggie his face was meant for radio was something I really loved because while it might have been JUST a gag, I read into it as someone whose been headcanoning this kinda shit since day one, and again I'm pretty sure I mentioned it in an older post, but him saying that felt like a nod to the fact that it was very common for people like Alastor ( poc ) to do VERY WELL on radio due to the fact no one could actually see them to get any impression they weren't white and thus discriminate against them based on this. This, I hc, is true for Alastor and a big reason why Alastor did so well as a radio host in his time. Basically in my HC Al picked up his radio job kind of by accident but unlike Alastor's other projects, it really took off and he embraced it fully. By the late 1920s he was a big name on the air and honestly he was doing really well for himself and probably would have lived a long and prosperous life if he didn't pick up the habit of murdering people. But yeah this idea he isn't black enough and that he doesn't look / act / talk etc "black enough" and that this is somehow racist etc is actually whats racist and kinda mad ignorant too so yeah thats my thoughts on that ! Like I don't know what, if any of Alastor's background is gonna get shown, but so far everything about Alastor seems correct to the time period and none of it regardless to what way it goes is "racist" or "not black enough" especially for Alastor's era, location and profession.

i’m not actually suicidal it’s not like that at all thats so sad nd weird sorry but when die it’s going to be so epic for real like stop i’m getting excited liek i would get so much sick pleasure out of it soo yea um so i’d have to save it for a special occasion obviously um i understand people who kill themselves to escape the sufferings and whatnot like thats their own thing they have going on but i’d never do it like that. if my life was so irreparably bad I would just keep making it worse until the awfulness looped around to being awesome again  but ya killing yourself/getting ones self killed in my opinion is what one should do as a celebration. i am only allowed to die once i’ve built a life that would feel satisfying to end. just my personal opinion. I would like it to ideally be very drawn out and painful like sometimes i read the beginning of discipline and punish and think “damiens you lucky bastard” like i’m soooo jealous that i start to get worked up. but yeah dont think about it too hard its not weird and youre being weird if you read into it too much i just think its something i would really enjoy so much ok its not weird everyone is just different. when i was little my mom would always freak out and talk about how she’s so scared to die and hopes to pass in her sleep which never made sense to me--- why be afraid, why hope to avoid it, its the last thing i’ll ever get to feel forever, so if i have any say in the matter it’ll be the most agonizing painful awesome horrifying thing ever, and then i just go away forever oooohhhh. this is the most honest post ive ever written in the entire history of my blog. with everything i do, there’s a little part of me thats thinking about how this will contribute to my awesome death. it makes me enjoy my life more because i feel motivated to work harder and improve myself and my life because that’ll make my death even awesomer. i enjoy thinking about how things could eventually lead to me dying sooo awesomely. that’s just my personal truth. so ya if you ever hear that i died, dont be sad, give a round of applause and just know that i finally made it. or i just wasnt looking when i crossed the street cuz i do that a lot too not on purpose i just forget or like last week i thought i was crossing at a crosswalk where you press the button and it flashes above to alert traffic when it was actualy just a green light and i almost caused multiple collisions while totally convinced that everyone else on the road was an idiot for not noticing that i pressed the cross button

((Authors note: I’m shamelessly making a kingdom hearts reference here because I can’t be arsed coming up with the entire plot of a children’s book. So you know, don’t come for me. AGSZC, and as always don’t like don’t read.)

“What are you reading dearest?” Genesis asked as he dropped elegantly down into Angeal’s lap; feet finding their home wiggled under Zack’s thigh.

The elder of the two simply adjusted his position and kept on scrolling through his PHS, while Zack grabbed Gens ankle playfully.

Cloud looked up. Marking his page with his finger. “It’s called, Adventures on Destiny Islands. My mom used to read it to me as a kid."

He'd been feeling nostalgic when he'd spotted it in a sector seven charity shop. The memories of curling up in the evenings with his mom - no bullies, no adults telling him he was a mistake; just the fire, a good book and his favorite person - washed over him. Nights when he couldn't sleep, or was feeling too upset to do much else than silently listen, had been filled with the colourful world of the play island.

He'd picked it up for for 20 Gil with the intent of visiting that island again just for old time sake, and now he couldn't put it down. Not when the kids were just about to discover their secret place!

Genesis hummed, always one to appreciate avid readers, no matter their taste. "Ah the cradle of childhood, My nanny often read me the classics in my youth, ode to Shiva, The mouth of Fenrir, it was quite the enducation."

"Of course thats what they read to you," Cloud Snorted "Didn't you ever read actual Childrens books? you know, like ones that weren't once epic poems."

"Those were more to Angeals taste," Gen sniffed hautily as Angeal looked up at his name.

Cloud turned his gaze to the man in question, now slightly invested in this rare chance to get some actual details on their childhoods. They so often talked about their friendship, yet it was uncommon to actually get any solid facts about how they grew up.

It was one of the more fustrating things about coming into the relationship so late. The three eldest were already so close knit that Zack and Cloud had to do a lot of leg work to gain even a fraction of their shared experience. But it was worth it.

"What did you read?" he questioned hopefully and Angeal smiled at him indulgently.

"Not as much as Genesis. He was pretty much always attached to a book." He nudged Gen playfully. "But my Mom used to read The children of chocobo hill to me as a kid. It'll always have a special in my heart."

"Oh man, I used to love the Chocobo hill books!" Zack exclaimed. "Mami and Papi used to read them to me like every night!"

Cloud Laughed softly, liking the fact that they all had memories like his. Reading had always been an activity that he and his mother had shared even after he had gotten older. To be able to express that to his partners felt good.

"Is it a common practice for parents to read to a child?" Sephiroth had stopped tapping away at his laptop, to look at them quizically and, if Cloud was reading him right (and unfortunatly he definatly was), with a certain level of sadness in his eyes.

Everybody hesitated. There was no point asking if Sephiroth had ever been read to as a child. They knew the answer was no. Making Seph feel that pain, more keenly than he already clearly was, was just crule. Yet they couldn't just pretend he hadn't asked a question

Looking around the room at his partners, Cloud could see that nobody else knew how to adress him. Distressing was Sephiroths default childhood experience, and quite often when they shared things with each other it could quickly unravel like this. it wasn't Sephiroths fault, and it wasn't theirs either, but there was a certain level of delicacy that they had all had to become proficient in when adressing his questions.

"Not everyone likes reading, so I cant speak for everyone on earth... but its a pretty common practice, yeah," He offered. As responses go it was definalty not great, but he didn't want to lie to Seph. "its... er, its supposed to be really good for getting children to recognise language..."

"Oh," Sephiroth looked back at his screen, eye's glazed over somewhat at the idea of yet another blot on his shitty childhood copy book.

Cloud looked at the others, desperate for assistance. Anything to ease the silver generals mind.

Genesis took pity on him.

Without so much as a word, he got up from Angeals lap, turned on all the lamps and the electric fire place, and then turned off the over head light. Then, boldly, he pushed the screen of Sephiroths laptop closed, taking it from him, and made the other man stand.

"All this talk of Childrens books is making me Nostalgic! Cloud, heart of mine, would you read to us?" His smile was sarcastic but Cloud could see the seriousness and concern in his eyes when he pushed Sephiroth down onto the couch next to Cloud; braketing the generals other side by lazily draping himself over Sephiroths shoulder.

Cloud immidiatly got the memo, and snuggled up to Sephiroths other side.

"I'll go make some Hot Chocolate," Angeal muttered softly, getting up too.

"Bring snacks too!" zack chipped in as he dragged the armchair cusions onto the floor and laid his head in Sephiroths lap.

Sephiroth opened his mouth, as if to offer some rebuff 'Really, this isn't neccessery, I am a grown adult now after all,' but Genesis stopped him before he could.

"Please dearest, let us do this for you?" Sephiroth's eyes seemed to water for a second, and he could only nod; relaxing into the little nest of bodies they'd created, and taking his cup from Angeal as the man re-entered the room.

Once everyone was situated and comfortable (Angeal on the other side of Cloud, with his arm behind Clouds head to pet Sephiroths hair.) Cloud Began.

"The heat of the summer sun always made Sora sleepy. It didn't matter where he was on the island, he could always find a good place to nap..."
