YOLO CRYSTAL FANTASY/SILVER DESTINY WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE.

Literally I’ve been thinking to myself for months about how badly I wanted to watch an adult cartoon centered around women, yet with the same raunchiness, groddy, yet equally sentimental plots of male led shows. Like it was sooo good and it was just what I was looking for. I can’t wait for season three

Thinking about the part of the YOLO Silver Destiny finale where Rachel says, upon “giving birth” to the Megabilby’s “child”:

“You know, this is exactly how I pictured my life to be when I was younger. I just never thought I was allowed to want it.”

Rachel is actively in a state of psychosis during this, so she could very well be acting out a mother and wife role because it’s what she’s been told is the ideal life. (Also, nobody in a good headspace would fantasize about being cheated on like she did.) But the thing about the Megabilby is that Rachel was very emotionally vulnerable with him when he was living, in a way that she hardly was with anyone else before. That honesty likely carries over to her version of reality where he is still alive, and thus she may be telling the truth about her desires for life. Meaning perhaps she really does strive to get married and have children. This goes against her aggressive alcoholic party girl demeanor, so it makes sense why she wouldn’t share these feelings with many people. But with the comment about not feeling "allowed" to express herself, I'm not sure that closed-off behavior is just from pride. Something has clearly damaged her considering how her heart was quite literally a shriveled husk before meeting the Megabilby. It looks like someone actively made her feel like she couldn't dream of stability. Who hurt her??

Also, perhaps the reason she cries at weddings is tied to these feelings, where she gets emotional seeing someone live out what she's always secretly wanted.

It's so funny how the YOLO Silver Destiny finale confirmed Sarah has a real last name yet her parents are still exclusively referred to as Sarah's Mum and Sarah's Dad by literally everyone around them
