My headcanon has always been that Eak's parents hate Owynn and Owynn's parents hate Eak, and while I maintain that, I do believe that with time at the very least Eak's parents would sorta manage to accept Owynn as their son-in-law. Sorta.

#eakwynn #future au #owynn's parents are miserable people that refuse to accept eak solely on the fact that he isn't rich and thus worthless to them #(also they're pretty racist which doesn't at all help matters)#but owynn barely even interacts with them because they were shit parents and thus they're not really a problem #eak however... still does interact with his parents somewhat often #he has mixed feelings about them but he does love them at the end of the day and he wants his kid to have at least a pair of grandparents #they're still mad at him for having a kid young and unmarried but they do love lil rayray so they try not to antagonize him #they are however very vocal about thinking his taste in men is shit and that they don't like owynn at all lmao #but with time they eventually accept that owynn is not leaving anytime soon so they try to be polite when in his presence #it's awkward as hell but hey. at least nobody is fighting #I do however think that they tend to treat their relationship as less legitimate. especially eak's mom #it's far from perfect but you know. that's just how family is sometimes #it just means that eak tried to avoid having his parents and owynn in the same room most of the time
