hearing the sound of the doorbell, you quickly eyed your door confused. a small gasp leaves your mouth as you find yourself smiling fondly. quickly getting up from your spot on your bed. “he’s here!’ you giddy whisper to yourself as you continue walking towards your door.

with a small smile on your face, you open the door to greet your boyfriend. however, a frown immediately takes over your features at the sight of who was at the door.

“you’re not sohee,” you mumble as you eye seunghan. “what are you doing here, seunghan?” you add as you continue gripping your door handle. awkwardly shuffling in his spot, seunghan tries sending you a small smile before taking a step closer to you.

“10 minutes, that’s all i need.” seunghan pleads, looking at you with big eyes. “i swear.”

nervously chewing on your bottom lip, you make brief eye contact with seunghan and find him already staring at you. awkwardly clearing your throat, you immediately break eye contact as you continue waiting for him to speak up first.

“i’m sorry,” seunghan finally speaks up. taken back by his words, you send him a puzzled look as you wait for him to continue.

“i admit, what i did was really shitty,” seunghan sighed out, bringing a hand to awkwardly scratch the back of his neck. “from my tweets— to me bothering you when i knew you and sohee were becoming serious,” he added. “i’m really sorry.”

“i was jealous,” he finally admits after a brief pause as he shifts his focus to the ground, embarrassed at his confession.

scoffing at him, you shake your head at his words. looking up at you to see your reaction, seunghan immediately jumps up trying to defend himself. “i know that doesn’t justify it but–”

“i don’t think anything will justify it seunghan,” you cut him off. “sohee’s your best friend—” you add only to be quickly cut off by seunghan.

“you don't get it,” seunghan scoffs at you. sighing, he brings a hand to pull on his hair in desperation.

“then explain it!” you take a step forward towards him, challenging him.

“i fucking like you!” seunghan yells back as he mimicks your actions and takes a step forward towards you. “i was drawn into you since the first time i saw you at that one damn dining hall.” he shakes his head at the thought. “i even fucking remember what you wearing that day,” seunghan bitterly laughs at himself.

“i remember being so nervous to go up to you and when i finally mustered up the courage, your friends showed up.” not knowing how to respond to his sudden confession, you stare up at him with a slight open mouth. looking down at you, seunghan sighs as he takes this as his cue to continue.

“i also saw you in the chemistry building, i was so certain i was going to go up to you that day but you left before i could make my way towards you” seunghan mumbles, sadly smiling at you. “every time i would see you, i took it as an opportunity to try and get to know you,” he added, bringing a hand to softly move a strand of hair blocking your vision. still trying to process his words, you don’t have it in you to react to his sudden touch.

“when i met sohee,” seunghan gulps as he mentions his best friend. “i really didn’t know he liked you too but the day i found out, i decided to suppress my feelings for you.” he let out a sigh. “and it was working. it was fucking working. but– fuck! we just had to bump into each other at the library and you had to pull me back in.” seunghan groans at the thought before continuing. “you looked at me that day and you were blushing. i fought it, i swear i fought it so fucking hard but then i had to see you again here.” he gestures at your kitchen.

“i didn’t want– no, i don’t want to lose sohee but the way you glanced at me that day— i kept fighting it but then we bumped into each other again i-” he softly says, staring longly your way as he takes a single step forward.

“i felt like there was something there, did you feel it too?” seunghan whispers out, placing a hand on your cheek as he carefully watches you, trying to read you.

“i’m so sorry,” you softly answer back with teary eyes. feeling terrible at his sudden confession, you desperately try and find a way to soften the blow. “sohee-”

“you don't have to apologize, pretty girl.” seunghan cuts you off, sending you a sad smile. still staring at you, he couldn’t help himself but to bring his attention to your lips for a brief second before looking back at your eyes.

“in another life, could it have been us?” he quietly whispers. without grasping what was happening, seunghan finds himself leaning forward to try and close the gap between you two. with wide eyes, you gently bring a hand up to his chest.

“seunghan?” at the sound of a voice, you both immediately turn towards the direction of the voice. “oh, what the fuck.”

lucanis is a 'I could sit in our quiet kitchen on a grey tuesday afternoon drinking coffee and talking with you about nothing much in particular forever and be the happiest man who ever lived' romantic, not a 'classic tropes and grand gestures' romantic. this is a distinction and conceptual gap I personally feel is crucial to understanding what's going on with him when romanced. for all his almost painful sincerity and clear depth of feeling he's not a very effusive guy by nature, but in the history of time no one has ever, with their whole soul, chest and being, been so genuinely and openly happy to just do laundry and taxes with you.

the ivan that regards his own feelings as shallow, the ivan that learned how emotions are expressed only from copying others… does he even know that the love he’s felt for so long is love? probably not. and part of the reason is the one he loves himself

because the easiest example he has of love is till's feelings to mizi. till outright calls it love, and ivan watches him so much he has to be aware of this and till’s love to mizi is totally unselfish, right. he doesn’t seem to actually want much from her—just that she's still there and still "mizi"

but ivan can't be satisfied with just watching he… wants. ivan wants till’s attention, till’s affection—

surely this selfish wanting can’t be love

...no wonder he was never able to express his feelings straightforwardly when he belittles them so much but he can’t stand not having anything either, so he does… whatever he does instead to get any scraps of attention he can, from someone he's convinced doesn't care about him at all only showing affection when till can't see it, right until he knows he's going to die

but ivan's feelings for till are all he still has of himself... to think of them as shallow...

I've seen this translated as "I should've been kinder" to him (till) or to her (sua)

but really, the one he should've been kinder to was himself

Varona. it killed off my traditional art kick when i was done with it, but i had fun. i used very faint watercolors for this one just to see how well i'd do with them and pencils together. my favorite part of it is this tree, love how it looked in this WIP pic i took:

Personal headcanon about the "you picked the wrong dellamorte" line, I don't think illario actually likes rook outside the context of them being someone close to lucanis. Like rook on their own isn't much to him, but when they meet it's yet another person talking about his cousin (why isn't he good enough for whatever job they're hiring for?) and on top of that they somehow bring him back from the dead (another whole can of worms for illario). Now he starts turning on the charm, but whether he's actually interested or this is just one more thing his cousin has that he doesn't and it gets under his skin, who knows. Either way, rook ignores illario, the guy who lives off his charm, and is instead interested in the guy who's never even dated before and thinks giving someone a knife is how to flirt. Infuriating

NO THANK YOU !! i am genuinely sorry if i have ever implied illario is into rook like i see some takes about it and unless it like ties into your rook's personal backstory i don't seriously think he's romantically jealous. at all. my enjoyment of that line stems from illario's pathological need to make it about himself and not see his strengths but what lucanis has, and therefore what he doesn't. he's annoyed enough to try and goad you in the middle of a fight about the 'wrong' dellamorte and completely blind to the fact that the venatori are at best, a stupid fucking alliance, and at worst, a cult that will devour the crows from the inside out and illario would have been the one to give them the keys. he sees lucanis make allies, needs his own, and instead of charming the other talons/houses as he should, he (probably spitefully) picks the venatori. or maybe he just thought it would be easier. ugh he makes me want to telekenetically throw him around

Batman: Under The Red Hood

This is so interesting. Im gnawing at this bone. Jason sees Gotham as Evil, an evil that has to be beat into submission. So he makes The Red Hood, he believes his way is better then Batman cus he does what's needed (kill). He whole heartedly believes that this is for the betterment of Gotham. Then on the other side we have Bruce who saw the worst in Gotham and decided to see the light, to see the best in Gotham, to have hope that people can change. He doesn't kill, cus it's not right, cus it's not his place to be Judge Jury and Executioner. He whole heartedly believes this. Now I'm not gonna say who's right (because their’s no correct answer) but they fundamentally want the same thing, the betterment of Gotham, but neither has asked the important question. Does Gotham want to be saved?

you know, I actually think the moment byleth steps in front of that blow meant for edelgard, an action that changes EVERYTHING about their fate, really is monumental, especially after warriors came out and added context

you have this mercenary who’s known for being stone cold, emotionless, and who can annihilate entire mercenary camps in minutes blank faced, as we saw with shez - by all means, they should never, WOULD never take a blow like that so carelessly for someone they don’t even know, much less with such an angry, determined expression - and yet.

the game draws some clear parallels between byleth and edelgard, and in all routes they have a connection that seems unbreakable - all of this starts at that very moment, when the merciless demon gets swept by a wave of emotion so strong that they throw rationality out of the window.

idk, one of my favourite fe3h analyses mentions the ‘literal divine intervention triggered by edelgard’ and that’s exactly what that moment is. not even because of sothis, but because that’s exactly when byleth takes their first step towards humanity and their freedom - i honestly think that byleth only fully regaining their humanity in crimson flower is the only outcome that makes sense, since that’s exactly what we see in one of the first scenes in fe3h. excellent foreshadowing, I’d say
