Damirae week day 3 : Drunk|(You all) that I want.
A/n: Continue from I'm a sucker series lol. Enjoy
Raven keeping her low profile as she reached the bar called Jackal's Sanctuary. Another forecast she felt this time she seen the venue and the time on digital clock which shows 11.11pm.
As she leaning to the lamp post nearby, she pulled out her handphone and look at the time and it seems the digital clock shows. 8.11 pm, another four hours to go.
As she put on her wireless headphone and starting to scroll some of her playlist on spotify, she felt like someone is watching her.
Keep her cool face as she attentively listen to the latest Jonas Brothers song, she's been in the same situation before and who she call? Damian.
Speaking of Damian, he sould be arrive right now judging from the time they set up to meet. She sighed as she shoved her phone into her pocket. Still the feeling of her being watch still lingering and she felt it from the alley a few block behind her.
It took her alot of courage to take a look over her shoulder at it seems it was just a kitten who licking itself after having their meal. Is that a can of tuna?
She just shrug off the feeling.
"Sorry for kept you waiting."
Raven jolted then she turn around. It was him. The guy who shared her forecast with. She crossed her arm and arched her brow, "I thought you couldn't make it."
"There's some business that I can't simply avoid." he sighed as he adjusting his brown sweatshirt sleeves.
"By the way, i did try to recall what time when that incident will happen." Raven put down her headphone as she talk to him. "11.11pm." she added.
"Want to grab something to eat before we come back to this place?" Damian looked at his screen phone as he suggest.
"Why not?"
"There's a restaurant nearby and, where are you going?" Damian sees Raven went to the opposite street.
"There's a kebab stall over there!" raven shouted as she reached the other pavement.
Damian silent for a while then walk to where the stall is.
As soon as that young lad joined Raven, she ordered herself a chicken honey. Damian took his time and ordered Chicken tikka.
--------------
"Did you see it?" Dick whispered in their intercom as he's on the roof of the building nearby.
"Found the love birds!" Steph exclaimed as she and Cass appear at the building a bit nearer with Raven and Damian.
"Tim! Have you taken the picture?!" Jason who is now at the alley where the kitten raven saw earlier.
" I was trying to get a good shot, be patience!' Tim huffed as he concentrated on his camera lens.
"Do you have to drag me along , Dick?" Duke appeared beside Dick as he using enhanced binocular spying on his little brother.
"Damian went out with a girl is a rare occasion!" Babs using her grappling gun as she reached the rooftops. "Its an oppoturnity that won't be missed!" as she clasped her hand together. ----------
Something makes Damian annoyed and he looked at the rooftop building. Seems like nothing.
"What's the matter?" Raven asked after she bite her kebab.
"I felt someone watching us." as he stared the the building opposite to them then he stare real hard at that area.
"And i thought I was the only one." Raven mumbled as she bite down her food.
--------------
"Guys, I think he knows we're here." as Duke looked at them through Dick's binocular. As he refocused on the couple. He saw Damian who makes beheaded gesture while looking straight to him as if he saw them.Quickly Duke pass the device to Dick abruptly.
"What did you see?" Dick ask as soon as he had the binocular.
"He's gonna kill us." Duke muttered.
"Awwwww...."
"What do you mean awwww...."
"Little D is harmless , don't worry." Dick give his best smile.
"You didn't know how he almost kill the criminal in his closed case before?! He practically put them in trauma unit and there one guy end up like broken record!" Duke shivers.
"Well, he DIDN'T kill the guy, that's an improvement."
"Oh that guy deserve it, he turn the kidnap children into a living puppet. A puppet!" as Barbara took the binocular as she spy on the couple.
"Oh, Duke. He was frustrated at that time because he cant save children that has been modify but he manage to save a dozen of kids in the cage. You should seen him that time. "
"Still..."
"That doesn't change my perspective about him." Tim voice on intercom.
"Perspective?" Duke curious about the brilliant Detective Tim Drake opinion.
"A haughty brat who push me down the stairs."
"Come on, Tim. He was 10 at that time, it was 10 years ago."
"No, Nu-uh. The last time I try to be reasonable with him, he destroy my coffee machine! That was my elixir!"
"Timbo, you're becoming coffee zombie, talk about you went into coffee deprived coma." Steph's turn to talk.
"Seriously I can't even smoke in peace with that brat."
"You know he respect Alfred by doing his favor , Jason." Dick trying to defend his little brother.
"So, that was the reason why all of you guys into this 'Suicide mission'?" as Duke heard their reason.
"Yep." all of them answered it.
"What did he did to you, Cass?" Duke wonder about the assassin girl who speak less.
"He is happy."
"Look! Even Cass could tell he's happy with her!" Babs giggled.
" We didn't know anything about the girl's background." Duke shaking his head.
"This is a job for Spoiler to spill the bean." Steph let out her hearty laugh as she sharing the files in the Soaring bird database.
"Raven Roth, an art college student." Duke read her biodata.
"Wow! Check out the recognition she get! From Paris?" Babs look at Raven's photograph with her artwork called Librarian where she use text to form a potrait.
"An orphan." Cass speaks as she stared that Raven's mother section who is deceased.
"Still haven't found her father information though." Steph added.
"Poor girl." as Dick studied her profile picture.
-------------
"Uh, Damian. What's with that gesture?" Raven stared at him as he made the obvious gesture.
"A threat. Just to make sure that they'll stop following us." Damian answered with deep tone.
"I...hope it worked." Raven swallow her worriness.
"Hi, haven't seen you around before." a cheerful voice greets them.
As Raven looked at the person, Damian making hiss sound. Wait, he did that?
"Tt, Dick..." Damian grumbled.
"Uh, Sorry about my friend. He's kinda...." Raven tried to cover Damian's "curse".
"No, no, no. He's right."
"What?" Raven now puzzled.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Dick. Damian's elder brother." Dick held his hand towards her.
'Are you kidding me.' Raven completely dumbfound.
"Adoptive brother and how did you find us here?" Damian arched his brow. Just as he suspected, Jason had told them about it. Looks like the mission are getting more difficult but it seems there's only D....
"Mind if we're join in???!" a shrill voice were heard behind them.
Damian face palm, frustrating. Sounds like the whole Bat and Co. are coming.
"Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Steph! This is Cass and Babs." Steph immediately introduce herself and two other girls.
"Oh, Hi! Nice to meet you! I'm..."
"You must be Raven, right?" As Jason , Tim and Duke appear behind Dick.
"You voice sounds familiar, are you Mr.Wayne?" Raven asked politely.
Jason chuckled as soon as he heard it. "My apologise, Miss. I was playing on you to see your reaction. I'm Jason, this is Duke and Nerd Timbo over there." Tim let out annoying grunt as he looking on his tablet for his report.
"Oh." Raven speechless, now there's a swamp of Damian's sibling meeting her. This awkward situation.
"What the hell are you guys doing here?" Damian growling beside the blue hair girl.
"It's a coincidence to find you here." Dick gives out his best smile. Duke hid behind Jason trying to cover his nervousness.
"As if I would believe that!" The green eyed man spit out. "What are you guys doing here?" he asked again.
"Kebab!" The Bat and Co turn to Duke. The atmosphere went silent for a while following with Damian's simple question.
"What?"
"We're here for the Kebab." Duke pointing at the Kebab stall.
"I told you this Kebab stall are famous." Raven whispers to Damian. Damian rolled his eyes in respond.
"Whatever you say." as Damian glanced at his watch. It stated 10.30pm.
"So, you two have plans right?" Babs asked the 'fake' couple.
"Uh..." Raven unsured what to answer.
"Don't mind us. Continue your dates." said Steph after she ordered her food from that stall.
Damian kept his suspicious face then pull Raven's arm as they crossed to the otherside of the street as they about to investigate Raven's forecast happening at the small bar called Jackal's Santuary.
The Bat and Co saw both of them entering the premise as they eat their food.
"Aren't they look cute..." Dick with gleaming eyes.
" Pfftt. "Jason finished his mutton honey kebab and took a couple of sip from his malt drink which he bought from the same stall."Seriously Dick, you had me when you're trying to be CUPID and drag all of us."
+++++++++++
As they enter the bar, it was noisy with polka theme song and apparently it's filled Russian culture.
"Here I thought the bar more like generic pub but this is something else." Damian commented.
"They are more friendly?" says Raven who actually never been into clubs.
"No. More like a place for 'the big name' to meet." The big name what Damian actually meant are Criminal Lords who is untouchable by police department and authority. Probably they sack them enough to pardon all their DEEDs.
As they settle down at the table nearby the exit, a waitress came up to them which made Raven almost jolted and Damian saw her reaction.
"Welcome to Jackal's Sanctuary. can I take ya orda?" a thick accent blonde woman greets them as well as held her tablet by her hands.
"Can you get me a beer?"
"Beer for the lad, how about the lady?"
"Uh, water please." Raven timidly say.
The waitress stared her then make a shrug. "Water fer lady then. Enjoy ya day." She smiled and went to the bartender.
"What's the matter, Raven? Why are you look surprised?"
"That's her. I've seen her in the Forecast."
"I guess we better kept an eye on her and the perp." Damian muttered as he crossed arm while he observed surrounding. Who knows, he might find some mob boss that made trouble back at Gotham city before that he could put it away. Talk about those Cobblepot and Nygma gang that causing some damage in some part of the city where the people went jobless due to accident happen causing the factory to explode. Damian sighed and shake his head as he recall the incident.
"What's the matter?" Raven were concerned as she could felt his tense.
"Nothing, just thought about a case when I see these mafia-like meeting."
"A huge one?" as Raven put her hand together on the table.
"Old and huge case."
Raven pressed her lip. As far as they were having 'fake' relationship, she never question his career seriously, when Damian said about the case, she might thought him as detective or undercover detective, like in the movies.
"I've been wondering, it's been 2 months we've known each other..." her words trailed off.
"And?" she got his attention.
"I've been wondering about what career are you in." she clasped her hand on the table.
There were silence between them.
"Let's just say, I consult the police."
"You seems to be serious about it." she chuckled.
"Of course or else they'll end up being useless department in my city." Damian put his chin on his hand as he stared at the entrance.
Then he saw a guy with suspicious character comes in.
As Damian eyeing on him, that guy spoke a few words to the bartender and went to the toilet, this is the cue where the interview starts.
"Blend in, Raven. I found someone that i need to TALK." Damian got up and went to the men's room.
"Alright then." she shrugged.
A few minutes later, the waitress come with their drinks. "Here's beer for the lad and water for the lady." she served a beer bottle and a shot glass to Raven.
Raven looked at the glass then at the waitress. "Really? In small glass?"
"This one is original from russia and its on the house." the waitress smiled and explained the drink.
"On house? That's lovely." Raven drink it one go and boy, she felt the burn run through her throat. She slammed the cup on the table and exhaled.
"Are you okay, lady?"
"This is the most unusual drink i have. Can i have another one?" Raven's loud voice causing the guys who seat near the bartender who witness it, shouted AY in merry way. Perhaps they are excited to watch a girl who appreciate the russian signature drink.
"Coming right up!" the lady giggled and went back to the bartender.
Each of the glass slammed on the table as she exhaled from drinking the 'water', they shouted AY and patted behind her. She is making history, in the club. Quite absurd but its true.
"What's happening here?" Damian come in as he saw the table being surrounded by the old guys russian as if Raven does drinking contest.
"Ow, Damian! This nice gentlemens giving me some water!" Raven laughed as her cheek burn red.
"Water?"
"Yeah, in small cup, maybe its special from Russia. I love it!" she held the glass and about to drink. Damian quickly snatch the cup from her and smelled it.
"Oh My God, this is Vodka." Damian put it at the side of the table that is unreachable for her.
"Wait, why are taking my water?" Raven whines as she tried to get it.
"Because you had enough of it." Damian glared at them and the crowd slowly disperse to their own table.
"Raven, look at the time." Damian shows at clock that shows 11.11pm but all she could see the clock arm spin faster.
"Make the clock stop, Damian."
Damian look at her as she try to focus on the clock. Oh no.
"How many water you're having?" Damian asked her as he crossed his arm.
"Uh..." Raven counting by fingers on both of her hands. " 3?" Damian look at the table, there's 6 glasses, he sighed. He shouldn't left her alone.
"It seems nothing happen by the way, we should go." He quickly get up and left a couple of bills on the table.
"Hey, lady. Why not stay a little longer? We have more stuff for you to see." an old russian who is one of the men that witness her drinking earlier.
"Oh! Damian, can't we stay abit longer, this nice gentlemen said wanna show me some of Russian roulette drink."
"You are my girlfriend and you are coming with me, now." Damian getting tensed.
"But..."
"I tell you what you want to know if you're coming with me." he sighed hoping she could follow him back.
"Oh! Okay then! Sorry, Mister. My boyfriend has something to tell me. Bye!" she waved like a kid and quickly follow the young lad out.
**********
"Pssttt....I just remember...aren't we fake boyfriend and fake girlfriend?" Raven whispered to Damian as he accompany her due to her drunken state.
"...It's our agreement."
"Are you the fake girlfriend then?"
"What?" that question really had him as he looked at her.
"If we're fake, I had to be fake boyfriend and you are the fake girlfriend." she giggled." Because I'm a girl and your friend, so I'm not your fake girlfriend."
He chuckled with her train of thoughts and pun attempted words. "That's not how it meant."
"So you are a fake boyfriend?" she looked at him from head to toes. " Does that means you are a fake boy? Or a fake friend?" Oh she got him speechless. "Which on is it?" as she poke his ribs.
"I think its the best way we go my apartment." as they reached at the high security gate. He couldn't afford to let this vulnerable Raven to sleep at her apartment especially after what happen to her roomie a few months ago. Damian use his card to enter, Raven were astonished and try to do the beep beep sound as if she goes into space ship. Before she attract more attention, Damian quickly grab her inside and went to the highest floor.
"What a huge room you got." as she walked in as soon as Damian open the door. He sighed. A bad decision to bring her to the club place.
Raven walk in happy tunes towards the huge window. "Amg, you have the best view!" She exclaimed.
He sighed and settle down her coat at the hanger and her purse on the table.
"Hey Damian!"
"What?"
"You still haven't answer."
"Answer what?" he tries to recall.
"That are you a fake boy or a fake friend?" Raven skidaddle towards him as she wanted to hear his answer.
"You really are drunk, Raven." he frowned.
"You are avoiding the answer! Are you a girl?! Oh we could have girls dates! go shopping together! Do sleepover, paint our nails!"
Never in their meeting Damian would seen Raven that's so cheerful, Raven that he usually met is sad and serious.
"I am a guy and a friend." at last he answer her.
"Hmmm...Good, I don't think I'm into girls like in sexual way, you made me confuse if you told me you're a girl." she giggled.
"What..." Damian blushes as he heard the words coming from her mouth. People say drunk people are honest to their words.
"Maybe I could paint your nails? I have that awesome nail polish green colour that match with you eyes." Raven grab his hand as she studied his finger nails, large and neat cut.
"Wait, Go back, You attracted to me?" Damian is confused state.
"Don't be silly. I like you." Raven shows her grin.
"Like...like like? Or just like?" he still uncertain with thing he heard from her mouth.
"You're funny. Like, like like!" she laughed and that made his face blushes.
"I'm quite certain that I'm not a fake girl." as she pull her collar blouse, look inside, at her torso.
"Raven."
"See?" she pull up her blouse and shows to Damian her upper body.
"STOP." Damian pull down her clothes as he looked away. She will kill him someday.
"You're not a fake girl either." as Raven tries to feel his chest but before she does, he grab both of her hands.
"I get it, we are not fake." he tried his best to keep his shit together.
"Good, you would make me question my sexuality if you were a girl and I like you as a boy." she smiled.
Raven has successfully made Damian Wayne flustered and blushed. Never in his life would meet a girl who had mess up his emotion like this moment.
"I never had girls party or sleepover before." she muttered as she remember her childhood. "Is this my first sleepover?"
"I...I don't know." Damian still find his words after being hitted by Raven's honest flirty words.
"It's my first sleepover yay!" she cheered. She's happy pacing as she bought him by pulling his hands along to the sofa. "So, what are we gonna do?" as both of them sit down.
"What?"
"This sleepover! Are we gonna have pillow fight?"
"Adult sleepover with boyfriends means something else." Damian tried to kept his cool.
"What does it means?" Raven tilt her heard in curiousity.
"Sleep. Just Sleep." He didn't tell the actual thing.
"That's no fun at all. You must have 'boring' sleepover. Oh!! Maybe you never had any, just like me!!" she giggled.
'Does this girl knows what she's talking about?' his mind irritated with the statement.
"I don't sleep at other people's house or invite them to my apartment." Damian kept his serious face.
"Am I the first one to sleepover here?" she grab both of his hand. "I promise I'll make this sleepover fun!"
"Fun?" Damian arched his brow.
"Fun!" Raven with her gleaming eyes stared at him like a little girl.
"Do you have any extra clothes to wear? Mine is kinda smelly for this sleepover." she smelled her clothes and it reeks with sweat and smokes from the club before.
"Stay here. I'll go get some." Damian got up and when to his wardrobe.
********
"Here, use this." Damian gives her his shirt and shorts.
"Oh." as Raven received it , she about to pull out her blouse.
"Not here, Damn it!" Damian once again pull down her blouse, grab her and the clothes the walk to the bathroom.
"Change your clothes in here." Damian shade of red grew to his ears as he put the clean clothes on the dry sink then he close the door.
"This shirt is so comfy!" as soon as she come out from the batroom.
"....you should wear some pants." as he seen her twiddling around as if she's wearing a dress.
" I don't need pants, it has cover my butt and you can't see it." as she pull the shirt that reached her thighs. Damian gulped as his eyes trailed on it.
"Alright , miss energetic. You better get some sleep or you'll end up with a headache." he walk to his bedroom which is huge and roomy. Neat with exquisite and modern furniture and the bed is a king size.
"Ohhh...this is comfy!" as she landed on the bed then rolled over to the edge of the bed. Damian just stood there unsure how to reach when she just casually rolled on his bed.
"You must be having fun before sleep." as she jumped on it.
"The bed is for sleeping, Raven."
"And PILLOW FIGHT!!" a pillow hit his face, bullseye.
"I win!" she held both of her hands high."I win i win i win!" she cheers as she jump on the bed.
"You can't win if I didn't forfeit." Damian grab the pillow that has been send by her.
"Or maybe you're just a sore lo-" Damian cut her words by smack her face with pillow he had.
"I win."
Raven fell on her bed and start to throw her tantrum. "It's not fair!"
"There is no rules in pillow fight."
"Oh, yeah?" Raven smack his face with two pillow causing him to fell on his bed.
Damian tried to get but Raven now on top of him, and held her pillow high.
"I win!" she exclaimed.
Damian were stunned with position he's in and hell, he try not to lose it. A girl in his shirt, on top of him in his bed. Consider it his lucky strike.
Shaking his head as he denied desire that stirred in his body. "Get off of me." he hissed.
Raven still on top of him hugging the pillow."No."
Damian groaned as his head hit the soft mattress beneath him. He felt her movement as she lean towards him. "What are you doing?" he scowled.
"You have very pretty eyes." Raven cup both of his cheek as her eyes studied his. Those eyes has blue and a bits of golden mixture that made them look like precious auric malachite gems. Raven slowly leaned towards him until both of their nose touch each other.
"Raven." Damian whispers then Raven plant a kis on his lips. Soft and chaste.
Damian can't help it as he closed his eyes feeling the soft of her lips, soft and lavender fragrance of her hair. His hands touch her arms, then her back moving down to her waist. He can hear her heart same pace as his. Faster.
Raven withdrawn as she take the air amused him. "Why are you laughing?"
"Why are you gasping?"
"I thought we hold our breath while we kissing?"
"Pfft. Let me show you."
He put his hand at the back of her back an pulled towards him. He crushed both their lips and savour it.
Raven felt like euphorial as they kissed in sensual way. As soon as they withdrawn, both of them panting, sucking oxygen filling their lungs.
"Wow."
"Wow?"
"I've never kiss anyone before."
"But you kissed me." Damian furrowed his brows.
"You're the first." She giggled then she landed her head on his chest.
"Raven?"
"Wake me up when September end , Damian." she whispered.
"Wait, What? After that kiss you just-" then he heard small snores came from her. Damian sighed, pull the pillow and landed his head on it.
"It's not even September." He sighed. "She wear MY clothes, rolling and jumping on MY bed, kissed ME and now sleep on TOP of ME" He mumbled under his breath as he stroke her hair. "This girl is unbelievable."
Using remote, he turn the lights into night lamp mode and closed his eyes as he's ready to enter slumberland.

Valentine’s Day ❤️
Lucy was nervous for this Valentine’s Day, mostly because her boyfriend never understood the holiday. She only expected him to give her a box of chocolates their first year together, the idiot instead showing up with a ring worth twice the guild’s income.
“But don’t you like pretty things, Luce? I thought the pink suits you,” His puppy dog frown breaking the strength she tried to hold when denying the gift.
“It’s just...it’s so expensive, Natsu...I really don’t need something this amazing...I don’t want you spending so much on me.” She sighed, gazing at the thick, heart-shaped rock on her right hand, much too nervous to allow it on the left.
“It’s okay once in a while, right? I saved up so I could spoil you, please tell me you love it,” Her cheeks flushed brightly at his words; well, she had always wanted to be spoiled...
“Of course I do! But I mean it, I really don’t want you spending so much on one gift again.”
“Aye, sir!”
The next year was much sweeter, at least the idea of it had began sweetly. She arrived at his house, dressed up and made up for their dinner Natsu had said he was going to prepare her a meal Mira had taught him to make. But before she could even knock, the pink haired dragon slayer was busting down his own door and tackling her to the ground.
“It’s gonna blow!” He shouted, Lucy cringing as she heard the pot or oven go haywire followed by its explosion.
Natsu put out the fire and turned back to the dirt-covered girl with a sheepish grin, the celestial mage grabbing and tugging him back to her apartment. The ending was well enough, she made them a spaghetti dinner and they cuddled while watching her favorite movies, she couldn’t have asked for much more.
The year after that, Lucy was pleasantly surprised to recieve a small box as her gift, Natsu’s feet anxiously shuffling as she opened it. Inside were three little chocolates, in what shape must have attempted to mimic a heart.
“I-I know it’s not a lot! But they’re the only ones that came out good enough to eat,” Her heart soared at his embarrassed face, watching as he tried to hide away in his scarf. “Happy Valentines Day...”
“You’re so sweet, Natsu,” She held the box lovingly to her chest, biting her bottom lip as she stared coyly into his eyes.
“Woah, woah, if I knew chocolates were gonna give you that kind of face, I would’ve made them years ago!”
The fourth year was amazing, was it clear at this point Lucy did not hold very high standards for her Valentines gifts? But she always loved to see what crazy thing he had cooked up next.
Lucy was worried this year Natsu wouldn’t make it on time, since he had taken a job at the beginning of the week with Gray and either had yet to be seen walking through the guild doors. Both she and Juvia finally sent themselves home when the sun had gone down and neither had returned, a lonely valentines night set before them.
It was quite surprising to see so many candles lit and standing on every free corner of her furniture, roses by the ton filling her apartment and bordering a path leading to her room. Her charmed heart was quickly snatched as she blanched at the sight on her bed, Natsu holding a rose between his lips and a box of chocolate held in front of his bare self.
“Who in the world taught you how to do something like this?” She placed a hand on her hip and raised an eyebrow as Natsu grinned delightfully.
“Hibiki! We ran into him on our way back, he said girls really like this kind of thing,”
“Well, I do love the flowers.” She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “But please, put your clothes back on.”
But this fifth and present year, Lucy felt antsy. She wanted to get back to their home, to see whatever Natsu had prepared. She knew it wasn’t a coincidence when Cana suddenly dragged her out for a girls day in town. The brunette never liked going to the spa or shopping on a day she knew bars were charging cheap for single girls. She went ahead and bought a lingerie set that the clerk insisted matched her skin tone very well, ignoring the looks Cana gave her when they left.
“I’m not going to be surprised when you’re watermelon plump in nine months,” She snickered as the blonde whipped her a glare. It wasn’t soon after that the card mage was sending her back to her house in the woods, having moved in with Natsu some time last Christmas. That day was one to remember, when they had finally finished emptying her apartment only for Natsu to have such a hard time leaving the smell she had attached to the walls. But his compromise was the promise of Lucy’s bed she was happy to share with him in their own home.
“Natsu, I’m home!” She called as she walked in, heart thumping wildly for this anticipated gift. There weren’t any smells of cooking, which he had been not long ago banned from. No giant bushel of roses or peonies, not a giant stuffed bear or box of chocolate in sight.
“Go wait in the bedroom!” The slayer called from his hiding place, Lucy rolling her eyes as she walked into said room. He better not have gotten more advice from those shitty Blue Pegasus boys.
She calmly set aside her newly bought items before taking a seat at the edge of her bed, awaiting the presence of her dragon boyfriend. The door slowly creaked open and thankfully the pink haired boy was still dressed, in his causal pants and vest, scarf rightfully in its place. She grinned as he hid his hands behind his back, praying to the first master in hopes whatever he hid wouldn’t be something that could potentially harm her health.
“Close your eyes,” He whispered as he stood in front of her, Lucy following his orders and shut them tight. She could feel his hands come around and clasp something together, a weightless jewel falling upon her chest. Opening her eyes, she gasped at the sight of a perfectly shaped pink heart, diamond or quartz, she wasn’t sure. The chain around was gold, real gold, she’d know it in an instant compared to its cheaper copy.
“Oh, Natsu...” It matched the ring she only wore when they were off jobs, afraid to lose it in battle. “It’s too much...”
“Not this time! You told me not to spend too much again, so I made this myself. Metal-head helped a little but I did most of the work,” He puffed his chest proudly as she stared at him with wide eyes.
“Where in the world did you get materials?! This should have cost a fortune!”
“Never underestimate a dragon’s nose, Lucy! You can find that stuff easy with a little digging. And it’s easy to mold with a little heat and pressure. I got Yukino to borrow Libra while they were passing through town.”
“You’re amazing!” Her laugh was breathless as she quickly jumped up to give him a hug. Natsu chuckled as he held her back, burying his nose against the crook of her neck. “Thank you so much,”
“My pleasure, Luce. Can’t have my girl walkin’ around like she ain’t my princess, hm?” She rolled her eyes and graciously kissed his cheek, Natsu reciprocating until their lips came together.
“Wait one second, okay? I bought something really cute for tonight.” Lucy giggled as she pulled away, pink haired boy whining as he fell to the bed, waiting for her return from the bathroom.

Perks of Coincidences (Ch. 3) Characters: Hanji Zoe x Levi Genre: Humor / Romance
Check out Chapter1 Chapter 2
Hange watched Levi pedal away till he disappeared through the dark streets. She took a deep breath and looked up the night sky.
"Cirrostratus 18,000 feet."She whispered under her breath.
Identifying the type of clouds and estimating their altitude is a game she used to play with her dad when she was a child. For some unknown reason recent events had Hange thinking about her father. Its been four months since she last saw him.And truthfully, its wasn't a pleasant ordeal for her.The thought about paying him a visit grazed her mind but she automatically dismissed the thought and started walking towards the house. As she opened the door both her friends turned their heads towards her sporting a cheshire cat grin.
"Welcome back four eyes"Rico greeted her.
"You cant call me that.Youre wearing glasses too."Hange said ponting at Rico's glasses.
"Oooh so its an exclusive nickname huh?"Nanaba teased and gulped the remaining wine on her glass."Did he ask for your number?"The blonde continued.
"Who?"The brunette replied while she settled on the floor.
"The ring guy!The four eyes dude!"Rico turned her head towards Nanaba "Whats his name?"
"Levi"The blonde answered lazily and poured her self another glass of wine.
"Why would he ask for it?" Hange absent mindedly replied as she stuffed her face with pizza.
"Oh Hange you're not gonna get laid hoeing like that"Rico rolled her eyes as Nanaba laughed.
"Hoe-ing?"The brunette tilted her head to the side and raised her brow.Sometimes her friends terminologies go above her head.
"Don't you like to get to know him?Hes a pretty interesting dude."The blonde asked.
"I dont know?Maybe?he does seem like an interesting guy."The brunette non chalantly responded while she reached for a glass of wine.
Nanaba sighed in frustration."Just tell us how you guys found my ring."
The rest of the night was spent explaining what happened at the fun emporium.
#
A week passed after the ball pit incident and Levi hasn't returned her bike. Not that she minded. She didnt really needed the bike back immediately. Hange stood by the university garden staring at the skies. The sky was blue, only sporting a few wisps of white clouds thats lazily drifting. Its a perfect day for a picnic,It would be a waste to spend her lunch break cooped up inide the cafeteria. The brunette did not waste any time and headed to the school rooftop to eat her lunch. Her breath was heaving as she got to the last flight of stairs and mentally noted that she should use her gym membership. When she got to the top she sat on the concrete floor and started unpacking her paper bag.A piece of pink neon post it caught her attention.
Hanginger! We made chicken pesto sandwich for you!For fudge sake,FINISH ALL OF IT!
-Nanabanana & Ricoconut
Hange smiled.Shes lucky to have Rico and Nanaba by her side. Its not everyday you find friends like them. She folded the little neon post it and slid it inside the slip pocket of her satchel and pulled out her old and worn out copy of Dark Tower. She sat on her bottom with legs crossed over her heels.Unphased by the warm concrete, she started reading and she took a bite out of her sandwich.Moments later, she heard the door open revealing a young redheaded girl.Hange was certain the kid almost broke the door when she flew into the room.Shes breathing hard, one of her pig tails were loose and her right cheek were swollen red.Hange stood up and made her way towards the troubled kid.
"Isabel! You bitch!Come back here!" Three girls appeared behind her.
The kid hid behind Hange. Her hands balled into fist as she grabbed unto her labcoat.
"M-Ms.Zoe"One of the bullies recognized her.
Hange didnt pay attention to three girls who stood across them.Instead she took the kid by the chin and examined her cheek."Did they do this to you?"
The girl didnot respond and evaded her look.
"Shes a fucking liar!"one of the bullies shouted. "Ms.Zoe!Dont let her fool y-"The girl was cut off. Isabel raised her head and looked at the brunettes face.Isabel almost trembled when she saw the most livid and intimidating glare shes seen in her life. The girls had their colors drained from their faces. "Apologize to her"Hange calmly not breaking her stare. "W-why would we do that?"One of the girls folded her arms across her chest as if challenging Hange. Her voice still trembling but trying her best to look confident.
"Look, theres two ways we can go about this.We can escalate this situation and call the diciplinary department.Which I guarantee wont end well...or you three can apologize and leave her alone."The brunette's tone sounded with finality.
The trio looked at each other and eventually decided to follow the brunette's demand.
"S-sorry."Says the leader of the trio.
Hanges blinked her livid expression and was replaced by a happy smile.
"That's not so hard is it?Now you three go and enjoy your lunch break."Making a shoo-ing gesture. They didn't have to be told twice and bolted out of the rooftop. Hange turned her attention to the red head who now released her tight grip on her labcoat. She placed a firm hand on her shoulder and crouched a little to meet her eyes.
"Hey,I'm Hange!Whats your name?"
"Isabel M-Magnolia"Still evading the brunettes gaze.
"Nice to meet you Isabel!Lets fix you up...do you have any spare hair ties?"
Hange immediately regretted offering to fix Isabel's hair. She was never good in the hair department but she did try her best.Isabel was working on an assignment as the brunette desperately struggled to fix her pigtails.
"If you dont mind me asking,Why are those girls are after you?"Hange asked as she tried to brush the tangled ends of Isabel's hair.
"That just how bullies are. They prey on the weak and unpopular kids."
"That may be so,but that doesn't mean you have to go through it alone."Hange had her own fair share of bullies before.God knows what she would've done she didnt found Nanaba and Rico."If those girls comes back, you tell me okay?" Hange twisted the hair ties for the last time "Aaand were done!"The brunette announced.Isabel touched her hair trying to figure out how it looks like. She knows The brunette tied her hair a little askewd but it doesn't matter. This woman saved her.
"T-thank you"
"No prob-"Hange's eyes drifted off to the paper Isabel's holding."Is that a chemistry assignment?" Immediately Isabel pressed the paper on her chest hiding her work. She was very bad at chemistry and shes not about to humiliate herself infront of a professor. "Its okay,Let me see..."Hange gently pried off Isabels tight grip on her paper. "Which one are you having trouble with?"Reluctantly,Isabel pointed on question number 4. "Oh!This one?You see,Iodine atoms have 53 electrons and the shell structure is 2.8.18.18.7.You also forgot to indicate the ground state electron configuration of ground state gaseous neutral iodine is Kr 4d10.5s2.5p5 and the term symbol is 2P3/2." "You know that at the top of your head?" "I can teach you if you want." "You would?Really?I'll ask my uncle if he'd shell out cash for your tutoring services" "Oh no!You dont have to pay me...I just want to help you" "Why?" "Because thats what friends do silly!"Hange ruffled her hair and pushed her self up the floor and started packing up her stuff. "I got to go,I have a class in 5 minutes...Here take this"She offered a pack of twizzlers.Isabel hesitated to take the pack of sweets but hange placed it on her hands and patted her hair.
"If you want,we can eat lunch here again tomorrow."
Hange patted the girls shoulder one last time and started running.Leaving the young woman blushing, overwhelmed by the kindness the brunette showed her.

Levi didnt leave France because he had to.He left because he needs to.His mother suffered a severe mental condition and after years of battling with it she took her own life a few months ago.Levi knows he had to get out of the city and start anew.He cant bear the sight of the restaurants they use to go and the city his mother loved so much. Its a constant reminder of his failure to help her.Abandoning the life he's accustomed wasnt easy either. He is an esteemed tea broker in France and many companies, microbrewers and restaurant owners were deeply upset of his desicion on leaving the country. But he knows he has to leave for his sanity. So here he was, back in his fathers town where he spent a good amount of his childhood summers with his uncle and adoptive niece.Levi sat on his porch drinking tea and his gaze drifted to a teal bike rested against the wall. Its been a week,he should probably return that.
"Big bro!"
He turned his head towards his red headed niece who has running towards him with a wide smile plastered across her face.Levi put down his teacup back on the table and braced himself for an incoming hug from Isabel.
"Someone looks happy today. What happened?"Levi sounding almost sarcastic despite his genuine interest and ruffled Isabel's hair.
"This!"She lifted a pack of twizzlers out of her bag practically shoving it to his face."I just made a friend today."She added as she clung on his neck.
"What kind of friend bribes people with that awful snack."Slightly pushing the package away from his face.
"Oh dont be like that!Shes really nice, she even helped me with my..."Isabel trailed off and her hug losened when the teal bike caught her eye "When did you buy that?"
"Its not mine"Levi lifted his cup in the manner he's accustomed to and sipped his tea.
"You stole it?"Levi slowly turned his head towards his niece and gave her a look of disgust and disbelief."Why the fuck would I steal a bike?"
"I don't know...Did you borrow it?"Isabel inspected the bike.
"Yes,is there a problem with that?"The raven haired man continued sipping his tea.
"its not your type of color."Isabel shot him an iquisitive look.
"And what do you know exactly about my type of color?"avoiding her gaze.
"Well,it looks too feminine..."Slowly,Isabel's confused expression slowly turned to a mischievous grin "Say big bro,did you borrow this from a...girl?"Levi ignored her and continued drinking his tea.
"is she pretty?"Isabel added as she teasingly poked his shoulders.
Levi almost choked on his drink."Jeez Isabel! What is wrong with you"Sounding almost offended.
"Oh my god!So it is a woman!Youre blushing!"Pointing on his face.
Levi knows for a fact that he is not blushing.Isabel had this weird fixation on his personal affairs but somehow shes being extra giddy because of this new found friend she had.Honestly,he is not in the mood to deal with this.Huffing exasperatedly,he stood up.
"Thats it.I'm getting rid of this shit."
"Calm down!No need to be defensive."Isabel giggled and continued teasing Levi.
"Get yourself cleaned up..and fix your goddamn pigtails! Its allover the place"
Ignoring the crude comment of his uncle she stood up and started walikng towards the front door "Say hi to the bike lady for me !" she gleefuly added before she went inside.
#
Rico was binge watching Stranger Things when she heard the doorbell ring.Shes too comfortable to stand up.She ignored it,hoping that whoever is at the door would eventually leave.Usually its just packages that Hange orders online and was usually left at the doorstep by the delivery service. It wasn't long until the ringing turned violent and she cant focus on what shes watching.
"Yeah!yeah! I can hear you calm down"She pushed herself out of the sofa and walked towards the door.
A familiar short raven haired man stood infront of her.
"Oh,its you!The ring guy?Hange's not here..."
"I just want to return that"Levi mentioned plainly and pointed at the bike parked on their lawn.
"Oh?Okay,Just leave that right there.I'll tell her you came by"
Levi nodded ever so slightly acknowledging Rico's statement and started walking away.
Rico stared at the man and thought about Hange.Shes been through 6 dates now.Well 7 if you count that failed one she had with a stranger.Maybe she can do something to help her friend a little bit.
"Hey!"The silver haired woman shouted.
Levi stopped on his tracks and looked at her over his shoulders.
"Do you want her number?"Rico offered.
"No,That wont be necessary."He turned his back to her and continued walking away.
~He's leaving Rico do something...anything!
"I-Its courtesy to text her that you've returned her stuff. You should at least thank her or something."Once again Levi stopped on his tracks and turned towards her.He gave her a look which she cant place if confusion or just down right irritation."Give me a minute."Rico ran inside the house and came back holding a pen writing something on a pad of post it."Here"
Levi simply stared at the piece of paper.
"Just take it"
Sighing,he unenthusiastically took the piece of paper and left.
~Does all of her friends have to be this pushy?
"You're welcome"Rico sarcastically yelled as she watched the man walk away.
#
Levi sat on the dining room staring at the piece of paper laid on the table the silver haired girl gave him.He doubts that theres this rule that you should inform people that you've returned their stuff. He already returned her bike whats there to say?He pulled out his phone from his pocket and started typing
'Hey four eyes I already returned your bike.Thank you'.
Before he can hit send ,Isabel peered behind him. "Whats that?" Levi almost jumped from the redhead's sudden appearance.Immediately,he pocketed his phone, reached for the paper crumpled it and hid it behind his back.If Isabel realizes that he has the number of "The Bike Lady" hell never hear the end of it from her.
"How many times do I have to remind you not to sneak up on me like that?"Levi scolded his niece.
"I didnt sneak up on you, youre just spacing out...what've you got there?"
"Nothing just some tea names.Arent you supposed to be studying?"
"I am!im just taking a break."Isabel pulled out the chair beside Levi and took a seat. "Big bro,Ive been meaning to tell you something.Im failing miserably with chemistery and my friend offered to tutor me." "How much?"Levi stood up and started walking towards the fridge. "She says shell do it for free...She said that what friends do." "She refused payment?"Opening the fridge door, and reached for a bottle of water. "Yeah, shes nice like that!" Levi was meaning to say something along the lines of her friend might be a weirdo and hes not keen to inviting strangers to their house but he restrained himself.Judging by the way Isabel praises her, she must be a wonderful kid.So he reserved his judgement until he meets this friend. "Alright,When do you start?"He opened the bottle and started drinking water. "By next week probably."Isabel stood up ,streched and shook her head trying to wake herself up."Did you get to see the Bike Lady?"
"No."
"Is that so?Don't forget to thank her the next time you meet. You have a bad habit of forgetting to thank people.Good night big bro!"Isabel gave him a quick hug and went upstairs.
He opened the fridge door one more time to return the unfinished bottle of water. The pack of twizzlers Isabel brought home earlier caught his eye.He took a piece and bit one end letting it dissolve, while letting the other end hang out on his mouth.
~Why am I even overthinking this.
Levi fished his phone out of his pocket and hit send.

Ever since I was younger I had these dreams, these visions. It’s like I could…see the future. I know it sounds crazy but it’s true, I swear! The first one I remember is I dreamed I would get a history test next week. Next week rolled around and guess who was ready for the surprise test? Oh, me! I don’t tell anyone about it because who would believe me? Besides some of the things don’t happen till a lot later than the dreams. I once dreamed that my brother would break his arm. I was always on the lookout for him. Once id somehow convinced myself he would be fine a couple months later he broke it! It was about a year since I had that dream but it still happened. It's not every night I dream like that. I kind of know though if it’s a dream or a vision.
Recently I've started writing down what they are, just so I can prove its true. I would type them up on my laptop so the date could be added. I'm just waiting for a few more things to happen so they cant say it’s a coincidence. Last night I had this dream, this vision. Normally they're about other people but this was about me.
I was lying in some fancy bed in large room. The walls were white and the sheets and pillows were canary yellow with black accents. The room had a sparkly sheen all over it somehow. Looking around everything seemed to be a little sparkly. I was in this large bed alone through the space next to me felt warm. I sat up and scratched my head looking around. I felt tire even though I was asleep. When this happens its like I’m there but can't control my actions. I looked at the door when it opened revealing an Asian man with black hair with blue tips. He had on sweat pants and seemed to be the source of the glitter. He came over to the bed holding a tray with food. “Morning darling.” He whispered, sitting the tray on my lap. “Happy three year anniversary.” “Morning.” I smiled. I didn’t have control of what I said. It was like watching through a screen. “Did you sleep well?” The man climbed under the covers and wrapped an arm around my waist. “I always sleep well when I’m with you.” “You truly are a hopeless romantic.” “Only for you.” He smiled. “Knowing you has been the best three years if my life, babe.” Why all the pet names? I need to know his name so I can find him! “Ever since I met you I couldn’t keep my eyes away.” The vision started to fade. I was waking up. “I love you (Y/N) (Y/L/N).” “I love you too, Ma-“
I woke up. Damn it! I thought. I didn’t even get his name. I groaned but got up regardless for school. Before I left I quickly typed up what the vision was and left. The whole day I was thinking about it. I was distracted all day. The visions weren't normally about me. It was never about love in any way.
“Hey! Earth to (Y/N).” Simon, my best friend, waved his hand in front of my face. “What?” I looked up and noticed my other best friend, Clary, sitting across from us. “Oh hey! How’d the meeting go?” “Good. I got in.” she squealed. “I knew you would!” Of course, I knew. I was the one who told her to apply for a reason. “Are you ok though? You’ve been weird all day.” They both looked concerned. In truth, I was being weird. I shouldn’t think about it as much. Some things might not happen for years. “Yeah, um, just thinking.” They gave me a look as to say go on. “You know. About college and stuff.” They nodded. “Same,” Simon said. I felt bad for lying but its not like they’d understand. “Come on, let's not think about that. It's Clare Bears birthday we should be thinking of!”
I didn’t go to the club that night. I told them I had a headache when actually I was sleeping. I wanted more of this damned vision! The next day I woke to Si blowing up my phone asking if I knew where Clary was. I told him I wasn’t sure and I was going for a shower. I put my music on and jumped in. I went to change the song but I dropped my phone in the shower. “Crap!” I quickly got out the water and started to dry the phone. Why wasn't it turning the hell on? I've only dropped it in water once. Or twice. Ok, maybe more than that but still! I sighed and got dressed. Once I was ready I took it to the shop. They said it would take a couple days and they would phone the house when it was ready. Reluctantly I gave them the phone and money and went home.
The next few days I couldn’t message either of my friends. Clary had disappeared off the face of the earth and according to Simons mom, he was staying with a friend. I swear if the ran away together I’ll kill them! It was two days later I got my phone. It had a few messages on it but not many. One from Simon, however, concerned me. ‘Hey! I know I’ve been mia for a few days but I need you. Somethings not right.’ That was this morning. ‘what is it?’ I shot back. I started to put my shoes on. ‘meet me at the park and I’ll explain’. I grabbed my coat and left my house. ‘Be there in 5’. It was only a two minute run from my house to the park. I knew where he’d be anyway. I started heading to the old swing set that no one really used anymore. There were only two seats on it so when all three of us went there one of us was always on the ground. It was normally Simon. I saw him as I jogged over. “What’s up, Si? Is it Clary? Did you find her?” I hadn't been able to contact them so I was worried. “Yeah, it um complicated.” He couldn’t meet my eyes. “I've got time,” Simon explained what happened. He told me about the shadow world and how he thinks he was turning into a vampire. We sat in silence. What was I supposed to say? I believed him but still. “Just don’t go turning into Edward Cullin.” I tried to joke. “It's not funny.” “Sorry,” I sighed. “I believe you Si. I do but I just don’t know. Can’t, you ask Clary? She’s a shadowhunter after all.” “No. She’s too busy chasing some blonde guy.” “It gets better Si. You’ll get over her.” “You don’t know that.” I sighed. Truth is I did know that. I had a vision once, it was Simons wedding. I don’t know who he was marrying since it was me and Clary trying to calm his nerves. Clary was maid of honour, not the bride. Would I be able to tell him? I took a deep breath. “The thing is I do know that.” He raised an eyebrow. “I've been having these…visions. It's like a glance into the future. I knew Clary would get into art school. I knew my brother would break his arm. And once I saw you getting ready for a wedding. Your wedding. And Clary was a bridesmaid. Not the bride.” “Who was the bride?” “Don’t know. I didn’t see them. So you don’t think I'm crazy?” “At this point anything is possible.”
We came up with a plan. He was going to go ask the vampire, Raphael, what was happening to him. We figured he’d be the most likely to know. Si told me to wait at a small 24-hour café around the corner so the vamps wouldn’t get me. It took a bit of convincing but I did. I did tell him though to phone me while he went so I knew what happened to him. He did so while he went to the vampires I was listening in. It happened so fast and I couldn’t see him. I heard someone threaten him, Camille I think? I got up and ran to the hotel. Before I could even yell his name someone had a hand over my mouth. Thinking quickly I elbowed them in the gut. Sensing it was a male I also kicked my foot back to his area. He grunted and let go. I turned around frantically and got into a fighting position. I knew I wouldn’t win but I had to try. “There is no need for that.” The man said in a Spanish accent. “I just can't let Camille turn another mundane.” “Another mundane? Oh god, tell me it wasn’t Simon?” “You know then?” I nodded. “Very well. I was about to take him to the shadowhunters. I suppose you could come.” “Thank you…” “Raphael.” He told me to wait there and not to make contact with anyone under any circumstances.
He came back holding Si’s body. “Oh God.” I put my hand over my mouth. “Don’t use the Lord's name in vain.” Was the only thing Raphael said apart from. “Keep up.” He began running and I blinked at how fast he moved before following. I could tell he was holding his speed back. We got to some strange church. “How will they know we're here?” “Just wait.” He sighed.
Clary was surprised to see me but was to focused on Simon to say anything. Alec tried to say I couldn’t come in but I basically just said a few choice words to him and he shut up, muttering ‘stupid mundane’ under his breath. That night Simon was turned into a vampire. The whole night was weird. It was weird because I had had visions of Jace, Alec and Izzy before. I didn’t know what they were but I felt like I knew them. I kept my mouth shut though. The next week was a blur.
That night I didn’t go home because Izzy said the vampires knew me so it wasn’t safe. I spent a week in the institute not being able to do anything. Clary was too busy to talk to me and Simon was trying to adjust. I had enough of it. I got up and grabbed the few things I had. My parents thought I was crashing with Clary and thought it was the time I got home. I agreed so I headed to the door. No one paid me much attention. It's not like they wanted me here but as I was about to leave someone stopped me. “Where do you think you’re going?” I turned to see Alec with his arms over his chest. “Home.” I turned around and started to walk but he grabbed my arm. “You cant go home. I may not like you mundanes but I'm obligated to protect you.” “You are nothing like I thought you’d be like,” I muttered under my breath. In the visions, he wasn’t a brat but here we are. “And what did you think I’d be like?” damn it! He heard me. I forgot he had that hearing rune. “Um, nothing. I didn’t say anything.” I went to pull my arm back but he was stronger. “What did you know about me before you came here? It's not like the vampire would tell you I was nice.” “Its nothing Alec.” I had to get away. I had had visions of the clave since I’d been here so maybe that could help? “I think the clave envoy was looking for you.” I quickly pulled my arm away and he didn’t stop me. I quickly walked to the door but he called out to me. “The clave envoy won't be here for two days. We got the message an hour ago so how would you know?” I froze. Slowly I turned around and looked at him but it wasn’t just him. Jace, Izzy and Clary were next to him. “Yeah, and how did you know our names when we first met?” Jace asked. “Simon?” It came out as more of a question. “How do you know what happens before it does?” Clary asked. “Simon said something about it. That you told him you had these dreams.” “He told you?” I was shocked. “Of course he did!” she said angrily. “That’s what friends do! I was waiting on you telling me-“ I cut her off. “It's my fault?! You haven't spoken to me in a week. You are always too busy. How am I meant to tell you I have visions of the future if you can’t even tell me what you’re doing?” I was so angry I forgot about the others. “Visions? What visions?” Alec asked. “Are you some sort of downworlder?” “How the hell should I know?!” I had enough of it. “Isn't it your job to find out? To help mundanes like me?” They were silent. Alec pulled Jace and Izzy aside and started talking to them while Clary walked over to me. “I'm sorry. I forgot about you.” “It's fine.” I sighed and rubbed my forehead. “Its just..its just annoying, you know? To not know what you are.” “Trust me, I get it.” “We’re taking you to Magnus Bane. He might know what you are.” Jace said when he Alec and Izzy joined us. “Who?”

Inside a the old warehouse that venom used for their hang out the normal hustel and bussel and laughing and talking of the gang was absent. Tonight the only sound was the heavy metal beat of music and the chains swiniging back and forth and the sound of flesh coliding with leather. Xander was alone in the ware house alone with his thoughts and his music as he punched and kicked the 150lb bag. It sung from the set up that had been rigged up for it. The old leather bag had been repaired so many times there was more tape and patches than orginal bag left but still it was fine. A light layer of sweat covered the black panther as his fist collided with the bag agin and agin. As he conutred to to breath heavily each breath exhaled as his fist collided with the bag and his inhales between his hits. Lilly sighed as she walked in and Saw Xander over there beating on the old punching bag eveoone in the gang used. suprisingly none of them were around tonight not even the wolf pup warren was lurking about. Rubbing her light blond hair she watched him for a moment. His body really was a work of art. Xander and her had a constant on angin off agin relationship. And she had been with him so many times and been around him for years but still anytimes he worked out or faught esipcially when he faught. She couldt help but watch him. His muscles rippled and flexed with each movment. Weather he relised it or not his punches and kicks also coincided with the music it was like a grafull violent dance. And when he actully fought with music playing..ahh it was impossible to describe. Finally she began walking over towrds him. Her golden fur stood out so boldly in the dim lighting as opposed to his that seemed to blend into the night. HEr tail swayed behind it the purple dyes end contrasting agest her fur. The Miniskirt with the radioctive symbol in blue gently fallowed the seductive sway of her hips as the tank top gripped tightily to her plump breaast and femini curves. The high heel boots that buckled up her leg clicked softly agest the floor as she apporched. She could see the moment he noticed her as his shouldered stiffened up as they did anytime someone approched him from the back. As he grabbed the bag to stop its swinging he turned to face her. His golden eyes focused on her and sent shivers threw her whole body. He smiled lightly a smile that didnt seem to reach his eyes "Hey hun" He said as he walked over to turn off the music. She frowned walking over to him she wrapped her arms around him from behind breathing in his scent even at a dirty factory and sweating he didnt smell bad....no he smelled ....Manily rugged....He smeeled of leather and steel and just a scent that seemed unigue to him. He stopped for a second before placing one hand over top of her hands wrapped around his stomach while his other hand turned the music off. "Your gonna get dirty hugging me before Iv cleaned up." She giggled "I dont care" She smilled implishly "Not the first time you made me dirty" She teased nipping his ear lightly. He gave a light chuckle "Suppose not." Lilly frowned as she laid her head agest his broad shoulders . "So...." He raised a eyebrow looking over his shoulder at her "So....what?" He asked. She huffed lightly "Sooooo....Whats wrong" She asked as if he didnt know what she was getting at. The panther smiled "Nothing" He told her even thought both of them knew he was liying . Lilly was one of the people that knew Xanders fine was a lie and one of the few who could call him out on it. She rolled her eyes . "You cant lie to me Xander slate" She told him "We know each other far to well for that." He smiled agin. "Hehe Ya I suppose your right." He rubbed his thumb over top of her hands she had wrapped around him. "Its nothing just not a good day." He told her. She kissed his shoulder gently as she let her fingers tangle with his own. "You wanna talk about it" She asked already knowing the awser before she even asked the question. If nothing eles Xander was a rock even when he let you in he would never show weakness he preffered to let others lean on him while he refused to lean on anyone. Pain tore threw Xanders chest as she asked if him a question he hated. How easy would it be to talk and let her in so she could help ease the pain of the day....but that wasnt him he refused to let it affect him. "No." He said simply She nodded "You wanna sit down with me and listen to music then." She asked She could feel him relax and nod "Sure that sounds better." She smiled as she gently released him and moved around to turn the music back on. While she leaned over to turn dial to somthing other than heavy metal she could feel Xander looking at her short skirt and she couldnt help giving her hips a little wiggle before brushing his nose with her tail "See somthing ya like there" He chuckled before rolling his eyes as he moved over and turned on the lamp next to the large sofa the gang would normally sit on before hopping over the back and leaning on the arm while he let one of his legs lay out on the couch. While Lilly put on a more soft rock station He looked over the back of the chouch as she walked over and hoped over much like he had but she settled in to laying agest him Her soft hair fanning out of his chest while she picked up his hands and lacing their fingers togther she gently wrapped his arms around her with a smile wiggling agest him making them both comfy. As they lay there listnign to the music just enjoying laying with each other she could feel his body slowly relax and feel his gental hearbeat agest her head. Xander had been dealing with the usual. People at school talking about him being nothing more than some rundown white trash someone who didnt belong to be there. OF course Xander Temper had gotten the better of him and he had grabbed the two men and beat them into the ground. Of course he found out to late that the two were both honnor students of the school and beating them had almost caused him to be expelled instead he was placed on acedmic probation for he next year. He had just gotten back from his hearing when he had found the warhouse to be abodoned witch ment the rest of the gang was propibly at a party. So since he had the place to himself he had worked out his anger and aggression the best way he knew..........well one of the best ways he knew. Lilly rolled over in Xanders lap and looked up at him. Her emreld eyes shining as he looked down at her with his own golden gaze. "Yesss?" He asked her with the smallest hint of a smile tugging at the cornors of his mouth. She smiled "Feeling better now." He smiled and nodded kissing her head. She smiled "Good" She rolled back over and sat up pushing herslef to her feet. He looked at her rasing a eyebrow. "Im tired of laying around and I wanna have fun." She told him

In The Words Of My Daughter’s Twin, ‘You Can’t Hurt Someone Who’s Already Dead’
@debooshka
Don’t you dare tell me that there are lots of kids who look the same. Don’t pretend this is some sort of funny coincidence either, like the kindergarten teacher does. I’d know my baby girl anywhere. I know the way her hair smells, and how her soft little hands feel in mine. I know her giggling laugh, the way she puffs out her cheeks when she’s angry, and the light in her eyes when she sees me across the room. I know all the things that only a mother can know, but for the life of me I still can’t tell them apart.
“Elizabeth, go put your crayons away. It’s time to go home now.”
“I’m not done yet.”
“Don’t talk back to your mom. You can finish tomorrow.”
“You’re not my mom. You’re just a lady.”
That was the first shock. When the girl I thought was my daughter shied away from me at the kindergarten. I grabbed her arm and started dragging her, thinking she was just misbehaving. She started to struggle and howl in protest, but I wasn’t in the mood so I picked her up and slung her over my shoulder. I probably would have walked away with her and never known if the real Elizabeth hadn’t come skipping around the corner.
“Hi mom! Hi Taylor!”
“Put me down! I don’t wanna!” shouted the child I was carrying. I’d always thought double-takes were just something people did in movies. I must have done a quadruple. Everything was identical, from their blonde pigtails tied exactly the same way all the way down to their matching floral overalls.
“Whicha cowa,” my daughter said.
“Zookiah gromwich,” Taylor replied as I put them down.
“Isn’t it adorable?” Mrs. Hallowitz, the kindergarten teacher, was just returning from the bathroom leading another toddler by the hand. “They even talk in their own language. None of the other kids can understand them.”
My daughter leaned over to Taylor and whispered something that sounded like: “Priva priva mae.”
Both girls looked at me pointedly and began a hysterical giggle in perfect synchronization. Even the intakes of breath and the sudden high-pitched squeals lined up.
Honestly? I didn’t think it was adorable at all. I thought it was beyond creepy. I wasted no time scooping my daughter up and getting her out of there. I might have been able to find it cute under different circumstances, but the truth is that Elizabeth did have a twin. At least in the womb. Her sister was stillborn though, and seeing Taylor just brought back a rush of memories that I hadn’t allowed myself to touch for five years.
By the next day, I’d convinced myself I was overreacting. I should be glad that my daughter made a friend. This was only going to be weird if I let it be weird. I don’t know if I was just trying to prove something to myself, but I even made an effort by reaching out to Taylor’s parents and inviting them over for a play date. They were really sweet people, and we laughed about the “weird coincidence” while the kids played with LEGOs on the floor.
In theory, this was supposed to make me feel better about the situation. It didn’t. The more we talked, the weirder it got. Both girls would sit exactly the same way with their knees drawn up to their chins. They both liked to peel apples and eat the skin — both liked the same obscure cartoon about a digital world — both liked cats more than dogs. Their favorite color was blue.
Even worse, the whole time they were playing together they only spoke in their secret language, laughing in unison. Taylor’s mother looked a little uncomfortable when they both asked to use the bathroom at the same time, but she just laughed it off and commented on how impressionable five year olds are.
“Did you have fun today with your new friend?” I asked Elizabeth when I was tucking her into bed that night.
“She’s not my friend. She’s my sister,” Elizabeth declared in that pompously imperative way children have.
“You don’t have a sister. Taylor has her own parents, remember?”
“It’s okay, mom. I know she died.” Elizabeth’s eyes were already closed when she said it. She spoke as casually as though saying goodnight, nestling further under the covers as she did. “Don’t worry. She’s all better now.”
I’d never spoken aloud about Elizabeth’s twin since the day she died. Never even dared to think it too loudly.
“Did your father tell you that?” I asked, trying to keep my voice calm.
“No. Taylor told me. Goodnight mom.”
“Sweet dreams, little one.”
I’d just turned off the lights and was about to leave the room when Elizabeth said: “Baree fanta lan, Taylor.”
“What did you just say?”
Elizabeth started giggling. Then she was silent. Then giggling again, rambling away in her unknown language.
I can’t explain exactly why I decided to call Taylor’s parents right then. I guess I was just feeling overwhelmed and needed a little reality check.
“Has Taylor gone to bed already?” I asked.
“No, she’s in the kitchen drinking a warm milk,” Taylor’s mom replied. “Is something the matter?”
“Is she… talking to herself?”
A shuffling. Then a pause. I heard Elizabeth mumble something, then start to giggle again. On the other end of the line, I heard Taylor giggling at the same exact instant.
“She’s not saying anything,” Taylor’s mom said. I breathed a sigh of relief, but it was cut short. “Not real words anyway. Just pretend words.”
I thanked her, wished her goodnight, and hung up the phone. Not before I heard Taylor replying in the background to whatever Elizabeth was saying to herself. They were communicating somehow. I don’t know why that terrified me so much, but it did. I sat outside her room and wrote down as much of the gibberish as I could make sense of. In the morning, I tried asking Elizabeth what it meant. She only laughed and said it was a secret.
I felt like I was running in circles. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, but the more I thought, the more confusing it got. Had my other girl survived after-all? Could she have been adopted by another family somehow? But that still didn’t explain how they were talking to each other.
As a last resort, I tried hanging around the kindergarten until after Taylor’s parents dropped her off and left. Then I went in and signed Taylor out, pretending that she was my daughter. She trusted me this time since we’ve played together at my house, and I promised her some treats if she went along with it.
Once we were alone in my car, I showed her all the gibberish words I wrote down from the night before. I told her she had to help me figure out what they meant for her to get her treat. Taylor was happy to oblige.
“Lizzy (her word for Elizabeth) and I were talking last night.”
“What were you talking about?”
“We were trying to decide which of us was dead. What kind of treat did you bring?”
“Soon, honey. Can you tell me what that means?”
“Ughhh.” Taylor rolled her eyes in exasperation, just the way Elizabeth always does when I make her wait. “One of us died when we were little. I think it was Lizzy, but she thinks it was me.”
“You both look pretty alive to me.”
“I knowwwwwwww,” she whined. “That’s why we can’t agree. But I can’t live unless she’s dead, so that’s going to happen. Can I have my treat now?”
“What’s going to happen?” I understood her, but I still couldn’t believe a five year old would say such a thing.
“Lizzy has to die,” Taylor said emphatically. “There’s only supposed to be one of us.”
“That doesn’t make sense. It’s insane. I never want to hear you say that again.”
Taylor shrugged. “If we get ice-cream, can it be —”
“Chocolate,” I cut her off. “I know.”
Taylor giggled.
“Are you going to hurt my daughter?”
Taylor’s eyes widened, fearful. She shook her head rapidly. I let out a breath I didn’t even know I was holding.
“You can’t hurt someone who is already dead,” Taylor said matter-of-factly.
This part is hard to type, but I need you to know why I did it. I need you to know that Taylor didn’t suffer when I wrapped my hands around her little neck. She barely even struggled, and it snapped so easily that I know she barely even knew what was happening. She said so herself. You can’t hurt someone who is already dead, and I had my own daughter to worry about.
I’m sorry Mr. Sallos. I’m sorry Mrs. Sallos. I know this letter will be hard for you to understand, but your daughter didn’t die yesterday. She was my daughter, and she died five years ago before she ever left the hospital. I know what it must have seemed like, but you never had a daughter of your own. You had a dream about a life that could have been, and this pain you feel is just the surprise of waking up.
I just wish Elizabeth would stop talking to herself. I wish she wouldn’t look at me the way she does, or laugh when she’s alone.
