You smiled slightly as you put the last finishing touches on your lantern, the area around you lit only by moonlight and the soft glow of candles, calming to say the least. In the distance you could just barely hear the faint music that brought in lantern rite for everyone to enjoy...yet in your mind it had never meant that, it had always been a little birthday song, just for you.

"Are you lost in thought?"

Your eyes widened for a second at the sound of Xiaos voice, his bright yellow eyes watching you with a soft look of affection and his figure leaned up against the wall...how had you not noticed him? "Just for a moment, I was thinking about the music...it only every plays around my birthday and ever since I was little I imagined it was a song just for me...strange I'm sure."

He sighed and walked over to you, his movements gentle like the wind as he took the spot next to you, "Its not strange..if anything its considered good luck to have a birthday so close to the biggest tradition in Liyue. It will always be a celebration, a memory to never be forgotten and from here on out...we will always have the chance to watch the lanterns together."

You felt a soft blush coat your cheeks, his words making your heart skip a beat as you moved in closer to him, letting your head rest on his shoulder while you set your lantern alight. Once again I did this drawing in pixilart! Anyways meet bob, an archivist and mathematician in the little imaginary world in my head.

Here’s a few things about bob:

He’s short….like very short

If you’re bad at math he will make it his duty to remind you as if it’s a crime…then after that he helps you get better.

He had an older sister named Bellamy

His mother was a prized archivist for the math world but one day ran away with a mysterious lady to live a normal life

The relationship of Bobs mother and the mysterious lady is not known, friends? Lovers? Sisters? Co-workers? It is never confirmed.

Bob has NPD (Narcissistic personality disorder) which means he is known to have an inflated sense of self worth and seeks attention a lot of the time, this does not mean he is toxic or cruel however, he just prioritises himself as he is all he has left due to the deaths of his mother and sister, when you get to know him more he’s just a very insecure eyeball with trauma.
