okay i'm gonna brag about the way my parents met because it's literally out of a romcom

so, 1980-whatever-the-fuck, japan, some random bar frequented by soldiers stationed there:

my mom is there with some of her college friends, my dad is there with some other marines. he spies this cute asian girl across the bar and attempts to dance with her. she spies this cute white soldier boy and thinks "oh i guess i'll dance with him to get this other guy off my back." after they dance he asks for her phone number, she gives it really fast in the hopes he won't remember and can't call her. he finds a napkin and writes it down with a cigarette butt so he won't forget.

a few days later, my mom is at the hospital to visit her cousin who just had surgery. who should waltz in but the cute soldier from the bar (!!!) and my mom is like "oh no not this clown again." but they get to talking, and they kind of hit it off? they make plans to hang out later and become really good friends, and then they fall in love.

I watched When Harry Met Sally yesterday so now I'm curious how everyone's parents met. Any and all stories are welcome!

My baby daughter got her adorable puffin-print dress absolutely CAKED in mud crawling around the yard and my first thought was "oh no her beautiful dress"

And my second thought was "oh huh it really WOULD be easy to unconsciously steer her away from playing in the dirt. Unlike my son, whose outfits are usually some kind of solid dark easily washed pants plus a shirt that doesn't trail in the dirt like a dress does."

Anyway something something gender roles start getting shoved on kids from literal birth, but with a little time to think about things, YOU TOO can let your children of any gender absolutely destroy their clothes in the dirt pit they're digging in your garden

it's hilarious that izutsumi went: "come on no one would be excited over beastkin" and the whole party went: "oh no. laios"

like, zero hesitation. marcille doesn't even look at him she just rushes to cover izutsumi. senshi immediately blocks laios sight and chilchuck kicks him (as usual)

and the funniest part is... laios doesn't even understand what happened. he's so confused but accepts it???

"woah it's sure strange that I'm the only one with the blindfold. oh, whatever, I'm just gonna let senshi spoon feed me and won't ask any questions"
